I simply had to pick up a copy of the new book written by the marvelously intellectual clinical psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson, titled “12 Rules For Life - An Antidote To Chaos”. Dr. Peterson has heavily influenced my perception on the self, on the mind, and on human purpose. Life poses many questions, a handful of which are difficult to manifest a solution. Dr. Peterson breaks down these questions in ways the mind can grasp and intellectualize in ways perhaps not thought possible. Dr. Jordan Peterson is always a delight to listen to, with his lectures from his classes at the University of Toronto being archived YouTube. He’s truly a modern example of education at the fingertips of all humans with access to a device and internet. This will be a read I’ll greatly look forward to. #JordanPeterson #drjordanpeterson #12rulesforlife #12rulesforlifeanantidotetochaos #literature #psychology #knowledge

We should really be considering the inevitable negative circumstances that a super intelligent AI would present us. Some believe our purpose as a species is to eventually merge our consciousness with a technological being and live eternally. Others fear for the complete and total destruction of humanity by these super intelligent computer beings.
Here's a TED talk on this topic by neuroscientist and author Sam Harris, who's greatly furthered my thought process on the subject over the past couple years.

Been on a “Gangsta’s Paradise” kick recently, and also discovered a new comic yesterday named Pete Davidson. Dude has some great material.
You gotta watch this video if you're into any of the above stuff I mentioned.

It’s a nice night for a Joe Rogan Experience Podcast. And what better intellect to collect than the pure realism of human conversations that Podcasts have brought to this existence. It’s a brilliant time to be present folks, information is everywhere.
What better human to watch converse with one of the most aware and creative influences of our time other than the ridiculously intelligent Professor of Psychology & Clinical Psychology at University of Toronto in Canada, Jordan Peterson.
Anyways... just sharing this because it’s one of all time favorite podcast episodes. #2 on the list has gotta be the live episode with Aubrey Marcus on the Duncan Trussell Family Hour Podcast (link below).
The featured clip on this post was clipped from the full episode (linked below) & uploaded by someone else. Usually the spammy nature of podcast clips nowadays gets a subtle sigh out of me, but fuck it. I’m glad ‘Cheap Virtue’  isolated this portion of the show. Plenty of context for a grin and a giggle.
JRE episode #958 streamed live @ PowerfulJRE on YouTube.

I truly love Paul Watson's reporting. Opinionated, well-sourced fact checking, & comedy factor. Boom. Also completely agree with his stance on "modern art". A large portion is trite garbage.

Do you love dreaming as much as me?
If so, Koi Fresco may just be the guide you need. I’ve always found Koi to be (though he may disagree) a type of guru to his viewers. Explaining enlightening topics, making them easy to understand, and giving you the mental tools you need to go out and change your life.
He discusses a variety of topics on his channel, and I’ve found his pieces on Astral Projection and Lucid Dreaming to be highly compelling. Being that, both seem unexplainable to achieve, yet, people around the world have experienced these phenomena. Even Robert Monroe wrote a trilogy (Journey’s Out Of The Body) explaining his experiences with Astral Projection.
Something I didn’t know from this video, however, is that he has a connection with the creator of what I’ve found to be the most beneficial Lucid Dreaming supplement, the guys behind ‘Dream Leaf’ (will post link below for their site). I vividly recall using theses supplements back in 2014 and I must say their success rate was quite surprising, since I was having unlucky lucid dreaming attempts prior.
To sum up this quick little type, check out Koi Fresco on YouTube for more educational spiritual-type videos to enlighten your mind into a new realm of perception. Also check out the Dream Leaf website for more supplements.

Not to share another TED talk so soon, but I simply relish the ones that tickle my brain into new perspectives on the future of our species.
Elon Musk is a extraordinary human being. From PayPal & SpaceX, to OpenAI - one of the most important organizations dealing with safely maintaining advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) for our entire species.
Here’s his TED talk from May 3rd, 2017.
“Elon Musk discusses his new project digging tunnels under LA, the latest from Tesla and SpaceX and his motivation for building a future on Mars in conversation with TED's Head Curator, Chris Anderson.” - video description.

How one tweet can ruin your life - Jon Ronson | VIDEO
Greetings fellow human beings!
It’s been a minute since I’ve made a blog post. Since the recent Hurricane Irma has spun its massive winds through Florida, where I currently reside, I had to evacuate for a couple days. On the drive up north to my hometown in Illinois with my family, I found myself with much time on my hands to actually get to writing again -- an art I’ve greatly missed. Thus, the posts will once again shower down upon this digital canvas.
Today I just wanted to share a TED talk I watched the other day from a human being I’ve found most fascinating more recently, Jon Ronson. He discusses a friend whose worldwide popularity went from minuscule to viral headline by one...joking...tweet. This really shed an illuminating presence of internet users who are quick to attack those with opposing viewpoints, and irrational behavior. A very interesting piece indeed.

“ Alan Wilson Watts (6 January 1915 – 16 November 1973) was a British-born American philosopher, writer, and speaker, best known as an interpreter and populariser of Eastern philosophy for a Western audience. Born in Chislehurst, England, he moved to the United States in 1938 and began Zen training in New York. Pursuing a career, he attended Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, where he received a master's degree in theology. Watts became an Episcopal priest in 1945, then left the ministry in 1950 and moved to California, where he joined the faculty of the American Academy of Asian Studies. Watts gained a large following in the San Francisco Bay Area while working as a volunteer programmer at KPFA, a Pacifica Radio station in Berkeley. Watts wrote more than 25 books and articles on subjects important to Eastern and Western religion, introducing the then-burgeoning youth culture to The Way of Zen (1957), one of the first bestselling books on Buddhism. In Psychotherapy East and West (1961), Watts proposed that Buddhism could be thought of as a form of psychotherapy and not a religion. He considered Nature, Man and Woman (1958) to be, "from a literary point of view - the best book I have ever written." He also explored human consciousness, in the essay "The New Alchemy" (1958), and in the book The Joyous Cosmology (1962). Towards the end of his life, he divided his time between a houseboat in Sausalito and a cabin on Mount Tamalpais. Many of his books are now available in digital format and many of his recorded talks and lectures are available on the Internet. According to the critic Erik Davis, his "writings and recorded talks still shimmer with a profound and galvanizing lucidity." “

PSYCHEDELICS CURE ALL
Remember back at the music festival when you & your group of friends took some magic mushrooms, or perhaps threw a dose or 2 of acid on your tongue. The experience kicked in & there was no turning back. Colors became accentuated, all reality around you became alive & started to breathe. Your senses become enlightened. You overhear a vivid conversation between people about 50 ft away.
..Anyways. This is a psychedelic experience. And, although the were prominent through the ‘60s & ‘70s, they’re absolutely making a come back here in 2016. Not just necessarily with recreational use, but being studied by scientists to prove beneficial use of the compounds behind these life changing experiences.
NOW, for the grand majority of us, “hippies” out there, we’ll have our life changing experiences whether or not somebody gives us, “authorization”. Though, what gets me all fuzzy inside is, like with the Medical Cannabis movement, that there is scientific proof that these substances (Marijuana, Psilocybin, LSD, MDMA) can significantly help humans with combating PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, & motherfucking Cancer.
Let’s help the rest of the world wake up in this Age of Information.
Here’s a small article on Psychedelics as a beneficial use for treating depression. Do some more research on the topics to continue blowing your mind, & keeping the grin grinning.
ALSO CHECK OUT MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies). AKA, the hard working folks behind testing these substances & proving their alien like medicine. (more posts on Rick Doblin & Maps soon...)

Store this album away for a rainy day. Or not... Either or, you should at least allow your brain to experience it through your ears @ [link provided below].
It's the score to a documentary releasing soon about the scared psychedelic plant medicine known as 'Ayahuasca'. It's by Mike Schultz (director of DMT: The Spirit Molecule -- which you can watch right now on Netflix). More information on the film, here: [https://www.aubreymarcus.com/huachuma/]
As for the music you're about to hear think 'trippy jungle music'. However, if you want to learn more about the instruments used, you can find all that & more, here: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jlvfK2Yc_4]
