Casting Call for @spacecadet-sims' Double Shot At Love: Beguiling the Heirs

Atticus and Imogen Gryswald are world-renown philanthropists who, up until now, have spent their time leading fast-paced, free-wheeling lives without too much of a care for finding steadiness and security (outside of monetarily).

The elder Grywalds have had enough of the near-scandal filled escapades of their darling twins, however, and have offered them an ultimatum: find spouses or be disinherited.

But where's the fun in doing anything traditionally?

I'm looking for 14 sims to fill this double shot at love challenge; 7 for Atticus and 7 for Imogen. This will be mostly story-based with some gameplay sprinkled throughout.

Please tag me @spacecadet-sims in the post as well as hashtag #scbth application for consideration. If I do not reblog your post within a day, please message me as I may not have seen your submission.

Applications may be submitted from now until July 8th at 11:59 pm. I'm making the application process long because I work a full-time job, and mother a toddler in most of my downtime. I have some time off work over the holiday, so I'd like to gather my submissions during that time. :)

Any gender/sexuality for either. They’re both queer.

I may require additional information if I select your submission for when I'm compiling my reference page, and thereafter the story as it unfolds. :)

Quick FAQs from my last attempt at this challenge:

Can we submit more than one sim? Yes. There's not a guarantee that both will be chosen, but please feel free to submit two unrelated sims, friends, siblings, exes, etc.

Do entries need to be wealthy? No! Potential admirers can be from any socioeconomic background. The Gryswalds do not worry for wealth, and would take care of a spouse who does.

Will this be scripted? Partially! I will be taking some liberties with conversations, personalities or reactions to things. I’ll do my best to not make the contestants too out of character. I won’t be controlling the contestants beyond instructing them to complete a task when it’s needed or to pose them. I won’t initiate intimacy unless the heirs whims include it. If they’re prompted into intimacy by contestants, especially on dates, I’ll likely let it happen.

Will this be NSFW? It could be! I'll try not to show anything too graphic, but there could be instances of intimacy.

How will eliminations be conducted? Eliminations will be based on relationship levels within the romance and friendship bars. If there’s a tie, it’ll go to whoever is more attracted to the heirs. If attraction is also a tie, I’ll either use WheelDecide or ask the audience. I’ll likely ask the audience for other reasons as well.

Limitations on CC? I’d prefer you kept away from alpha hair and eye CC (as I have a preference), but all other CC is fine and accepted. I have all packs, except the most recent couple and Batuu.

my husband works a shitty low paying job and while he looks for a new one, we’re really strapped financially. I’m on maternity leave still and I don’t know when I’ll be well enough to return or if I can return this upcoming semester to my work-study job or school. we’re almost out of food and we have a week before he gets paid again. I’m worried his next check will be just as depleted as this one right into bills without any remaining money left for food. we do not qualify for food assistance. the baby is good on formula, thankfully, but we need other baby supplies. :( I think like $2-300 would be enough to gets us by for a few weeks if anyone would like to help us out? help us save ducky's emotional support animal

hi everyone!! this is squirt. he is three years old and he's a very beloved emotional support animal. since he came into our lives, he has been a huge help with my fiancee's depression and PTSD. he's the sweetest cat i've ever met.

he is also very sick. over this past weekend, we noticed that his breathing was very labored and that he was lethargic; he wasn't eating or playing with our other cat. when the breathing difficulty persisted, we decided to take him to the vet.

after getting him x-rayed, we were told that squirt has a "diffuse mixed pulmonary pattern...characterized by multiple coalescing rounded soft-tissue opaque nodules with a concurrent bronchial and unstructured interstitial pattern". basically, there's something in his lungs that's making it hard for him to breathe.

the vet believes he has either fungal pneumonia, toxoplasmosa, mycoplasma, or immune mediated pulmonary disease. they would like to hospitalize him and run the proper tests to get him diagnosed (and eventually treated). unfortunately, we cannot afford the cost of the tests. we were able to get him some medication that is going to keep him comfortable, but these meds will not make him better.

here is the current cost estimate for his care we were given by our vet (5/17/2021):

we were told by the vet that he has a chance at a long life if we can pull the money together to get him treated. he has brought so much comfort into my fiancee's life and made them so happy. if we cannot pay to take care of his medical needs, we will need to put him down.

we have started a gofundme to cover the cost of his diagnostic tests and initial treatments. our current fundraising goal is $5,500. these funds are going towards Squirt's diagnosis--we are likely going to have to update this page with an increased amount depending on what the diagnosis actually is. (for instance, if it's fungal pneumonia, we've been told that therapy to treat it can be expensive as well.) additional information we were given from our vet is posted on the gofundme page. additionally, my fiancee is available to take digital art commissions if you would prefer to help us that way. here is their art blog. money made from commissions will also go to squirt's medication and care. commission info can be found on this carrd. please help us save our cat. he's a very good boy. if he has a chance at living, we would like to save him and give him a long, happy life.

Hi! I know I haven’t been active lately and more of a lurker than anything, this is because i’m currently working a full time job, but here soon i have an upcoming surgery!! I’m a transgender man getting top surgery!! and I need to stay in a hotel until after i’m approved to leave post-op this is due to how far i live from the hospital, two hours, i have to stay local with my surgeon until he says I can return home this is incase of any post-op complications. While my insurance is covering the surgery I have to cover all travel, and extra medical expenses outside of that, including rides from and to the pre-ops, the hotel, food for my stay, all of my non-provided medical equipment such as shirts to accommodate my soon limited mobility, extra bandages and first-aide esque items. I will not be able to work for at least two months one for during (may) and one for after the surgery (june), which will kill ALL income from may so i’m having to save for income drought too. That leaves all of these expenses with only 3 months to save for!! So with that being said i’m asking for donations to the clear cut expenses that can be predicted so i can allocate my limited-funding towards the not so predictable costs so that people know EXACTLY what their money is going towards.

Does anyone genuinely call their siblings sis, sister, little/big sis, bro, brother, little/big brother etc. as constantly as this appears to be portrayed in media? I’m extremely sceptical. Now, affectionally addressing them by something like “slug”, “toad”, “fool”, and “bitch”, or even dare I say it, their gotdamn name, is, from my experience, so much more natural.

Hi, friends!

I’ve decided to create an offshoot of a specific fruit based legacy challenge. There was some problematic happenings within the simblr community, and the creator has since left, and their legacy challenge was deleted with their blog.

@tangymagnolia​ had the wonderful idea of revamping the challenge so that my legacy, and others’ legacies, and our hard work in developing them, wouldn’t be for naught. Luckily, I had written down the other legacy challenge, so I’ll be able to avoid directly copying generations.

This is not a copy of the original challenge, but an inspiration from it. If you were previously participating in that challenge, please take a gander at this one below the cut.

The challenge won’t be just around fruit, but everything will be edible in some way. I expanded the challenges to what you may find inside a cornucopia, and from what I’ve found, some cornucopias are more diverse than others, so I smashed them all together.
