I feel like the first time Bruce stands up to Ma and Pa Kent on parenting issues would be a big deal. They are always giving him advice on how to raise Dick whenever they stay over and Bruce, terrified he is doing it wrong, always does as they say. Until one day Bruce and Clark come back from an off world mission having left Dick with the Kents and Ma admits that Dick ran away to fight crime while they were gone so he has been sent to bed without supper and Bruce immediately collects Dick and takes him to a dinner because he doesn't ever want Dick to fear that he might not be fed if he doesn't people please. He doesn't doubt that the method worked with Clark but Clark has always been in a home where he is loved and never been truly worried about getting his next meal whereas Dick was in juvie after being orphaned and wasn't often fed. Bruce is slightly terrified Ma and Pa are going to be furious with him when he gets home but instead they ask why Bruce did it and are proud of Bruce for doing what he knew would be best for his son and it's the first time Bruce really feels like he has got a handle on parenting.

Thinking about Bruce getting the Robins their first haircuts since they came into his care (not Stephanie though because she was never his legal kid):
Dick: in Juvie they had attempted to cut Dick’s hair super short to help control lice but Dick had fought back so his hair had been awkwardly and unevenly hacked away. Bruce paid for a stylist for child models to fly to Gotham and privately cut Dick’s hair in the hope that they could make it look okay for the coming onslaught of publicity. Dick kept quiet to appease Bruce but he hated the experience because it reminded him too much of the heavy handed juvie wardens tugging him every which way so for the next few years Alfred cut Dick’s hair until he felt comfortable enough to go to the barber with Bruce.
Jason: It was Alfred who gave Jason his first haircut when he came to the manor. Jason had the most luxurious bath he had had in his life and then he put on pyjamas and sat in front of the TV with wet hair, Alfred cutting away the knots they couldn't untangle and neatening it up. Jason assured Alfred he would be okay with a bowl cut but Alfred styled his hair the same way he had used to style Dick’s when he had been that young, something Alfred would always regret a little.
Tim: By the time Bruce had custody of Tim, Tim had pretty much established his own haircut routine. However it all went out of the window after Tim came to the manor because he had so much else to deal with regarding his grief and his inheritance and his new life with Bruce. Unsure how to ask Tim if his longer hair was intentional, Bruce instead asked if Tim could recommend a new barbers to him and when Tim recommended the one he went to, Bruce suggested they go together. They did and Bruce got Tim ice cream afterwards in the hope it might help him feel encouraged to go. What he didn't realise was that it was the first time Tim had ever had a father-son barbers trip and that alone was enough to make it special.
Damian: Damian had already had haircuts in Gotham when Bruce took back guardianship of him from Dick. Dick had been taking Damian to his usual Gotham barbers, a more sleek, modern place with pictures of male models on the walls. Damian insisted on going there even after Dick left so Bruce went with him and found himself staring at a photograph of Dick on the wall of the shop, showing off one of the haircuts he had gotten there. Out of all the haircuts, Bruce felt the most distant from Damian’s, even though Damian’s hair seemed to behave like a Wayne's, and asked if Damian would prefer if haircuts was something he and Dick did together. He was a little shocked, but also overwhelmed, when Damian said he would rather do it with Bruce.

When Bruce decides to try giving a relationship with Talia a go, he is exposed to some of the greatest levels of passive aggressiveness in the world. Talia keeps leaving boarding school brochures and military academy guides lying around the place while Dick is running seven different dating profiles for Bruce and introducing Bruce to everyone as his 'single father'.

I think Tim would be the one who makes the call and he would chose to lie. He would figure that the last thing they need is two spiralling small children and if Bruce was able to give them instructions he would want to be lied to if it meant more focus could be put on protecting Dick and holding him back from his worst instincts.
Of course, Bruce goes on to work it out because he is Bruce and the lying just makes everything so much worse.
Bruce and Dick both getting de-aged to 8 year old state but it just so happens that Bruce is just pre being orphaned and Dick is just post being orphaned so Bruce is such a happy, hyperactive kid and Dick is vengeful and violent and scared all the time and the rest of the Batfamily just don't know what to do.

After Superman gets special treatment from Batman, one of the newer leaguers hears Green Lantern muttering about Batman giving his booty calls special treatment. And Green Lantern pluralises it so he can include people like Selina and Talia but the others assume he has multiple in-League bootycalls so start looking out for other Leaguers who get special treatment.
Of course, Nightwing soon catches their attention as he gets all the special treatment from Batman so the speculation begins. Questions arise as to how Batman could possibly pull Nightwing and when it might have started. But then a new question arises: given Nightwing's romantic history, does that mean Batman is ginger?

When Gotham eventually reaches the point where corruption is actually being dealt with, the shadiness of Bruce getting guardianship of Dick comes up. Bruce was just so desperate to have Dick with him and safe that he paid the social workers off to get Dick immediately placed in his care and now the courts are coming after him for that.
And Bruce is willing to admit that he did do it but that he thinks what he did was justified and it was more akin to paying a ransom than bribing an official. So he gets put on trial and Dick of course is ready to give evidence in his defence but things start to fall apart pretty quickly when Dick finds himself in a tangle of lies because Bruce was not a bad guardian but Brucie was. And there were plenty of times where Brucie left his ward in charge of the yacht while he got drunk with models but Bruce was secretly completely sober and if anything happened he would have dropped his act immediately. But Dick can't expose Brucie as an act because that will only lead to more questions and nothing he did was anything as bad as the sort of situations Batman let Robin get into.
But the defence really starts to unravel when the prosecution starts asking Dick about the things he did when he was guardian of Damian and if he ever got drunk around Damian or brought him into contact with Gotham's party scene and Dick of course has to say no which is of course used against Bruce. And eventually Dick is having to say 'Even if Bruce was a terrible father, he wasn't nearly as bad as the situation he bought me out of' which he can see is hurting Bruce because now Bruce is questioning if Dick really sees him as a father or as a saviour he owes something to. And it's all just so messy and I keep thinking about it.

Damian: *Holds up picture of the original Robin costume* Father, how could you let Grayson go out like this?
Bruce: It was the lesser of two evils.
Damian: What could have been more evil than this?
Bruce: Dick said either I let him go out in the scaley pants or let him murder Zucco and I couldn't let him do that.
Damian: And you think the scaley pants was the lesser of two evils!?!

The lego DC villians game is great because I made my character this freckled slightly scruffy kid who has to wear a backpack because there was no tops that fitted the aesthetic I was going for except for one with a Joker logo on the back and then the game reveals they don't talk and the villians, particularly Lex, seem to be super protective of them and it is adorable!!

Bruce: When Tim came along, I instituted the cape rule.
Dick: The cape rule?
Tim: All pants, trousers or shirts must be longer than or the same length as the bottom of your cape.
Dick: Oh. So if we don't wear a cape-
Bruce: You have to be fully covered.
Dick: We can fight crime naked?
Bruce: What?
Dick: What?

Commissioner Gordon: All the children in Gotham have been lured away by a Pied Piper inspired villain.
*Pause*
Commissioner Gordon: All except Robin, apparently. I thought you were like 12.
Robin: Do you know how many explosions I have had a front row seat to? I have the hearing of an 80 year old.
Batman: I did warn you about this. I offered to make you a cowl.
Robin: It is my sacrifice so Gotham can continue to enjoy my luxurious hair.

Thinking about how Ra's, trying to convince Bruce to join him while initially training him, tries to step into the role of Bruce's father. And although Bruce rejects Ra's wholeheartedly, he still carries a little bit of that model of fatherhood around with him when he takes Dick and, while Bruce has mostly redefined his idea of fatherhood far past Ra's manipulation, Damian sometimes hears a story from Dick’s childhood and can actually relate to it because he was trained in a similar way.

Jon getting kidnapped by some evil alien king who wants to marry him and Damian is like 'Yes! It's happening' and is fully convinced he and Jon will be engaged by the time they come back to Earth. And they are!
Damian Wayne is a hopeless romantic.
He is Talia 'I still call him beloved' Al Ghuls son.
He reads romance manga and watches romance anime.
He quotes Shakespeare.
He grew up in the League of Assassins dreaming of family and finally earning the love he was withheld.
It is no wonder that when Damian falls, he falls hard?
It's a love story for the ages, and Damian both adores falling in love with his best friend and hates it!
Because Jon Kent is his rivals to friends to lovers arc and Damian can't help romantic the crap out of it. Its so cliche, but Damian has held him at Sword Point on multiple occasions, so at this point, they are an evil king away from a full-on romance novel.
And Damian has read that book. He can't wait for their happy ending.
He keeps a journal of how they get together so he can show their kids someday.

I was relistening to Epic the Musical recently and now all I can think about is an Odyssey style AU following thr time they all believe Bruce is dead. Dick is the reluctant king regent of Gotham, Bruce's adopted son who never truly believe he would be king, while everyone who wants the crown/cowl is in the place of the suitors. And Damian is of course Telemachus, trying to prove himself as worthy of the legacy of a father he never really knew.

I would love a Superman story where his personality is reversed and everyone is like 'oh man, he is gonna be so evil' and he is evil but his drive just also been flipped so he is being evil in the most lackluster way. Like normally Superman is good with his whole heart so this Superman is so half-heartly evil.
He does just enough that whoever turned him evil won't nag him (because this Superman has no convictions) but like he kidnaps Robin and then is like 'I don’t know what you're expecting kid. Torture? You're stuck at the North Pole, I don't even need to put you in a cage' and when Bruce shows up, tooled up and with a kryptonite sword at the ready, Dick is just sitting in the fortress of solitude's kitchen eating cereal.
