If you could get whiplash from having your head smacked, Lambda has surely gotten it by now with how fast his head rocketed forward. He stumbles as he has to catch himself lest he fall over. He’s thankful he actually manages to do it just in time. Despite the pain in his head, he quickly forces his gaze upwards. Anger plastered on his features as rage boiled hotly within him.

“What the fuck is wrong with you?!”, he all but roared. With how loudly he’d screamed that, his throat would definitely be sore later. He didn’t care nor did he wait for an answer before he started throwing punches Razlo’s way, determined to get him back and dish out some sort of punishment for this. 

“I’ll fuckin’ kill you if you ever put your hands on me like that again! You fucking hear me?! I’ll rip your fuckin’ throat out! Try that shit again!”

no but I’m still pissed tumblr destroyed prev tags even on mobile because tags themselves are maybe one of the most interesting features of tumblr specifically BECAUSE the user base uses them not just for sorting posts (which doesn’t even work anyway SO) but for having conversations without having to add information or commentary into reblogs that clog up the post itself and intrude onto the space of the original poster. like it was a commentary track you could trace back to full conversations between sets of different people and they decided to just pull the plug for no good reason. I’ll never understand it

almost christmas means it wasnt christmas is so funny bc we play it like an offhand joke every year but this is a triumphant moment for phoenix. just when all hope is lost- when everyone (including edgeworth himself) believes in edgeworths guilt, phoenix is able to find ONE THING that pokes a hole in the entire case. the dj said hey, its almost christmas when larry heard the gunshot. almost christmas means it wasnt christmas.

The wave of heat hits Lambda instantly, and he almost chokes on his drink. It came out of nowhere and it’d caught him off guard some. He swallows, forcing his drink back down. He wipes his mouth off with the back of his wrist.

“Huh. Weird.”, he mumbles. Maybe the heat was catching up to him? It was summer, after all. His hand lowers from his mouth and tugs on the strap of the pink bikini top he was still wearing.

Dreams like this are nothing new. These apocalypse type scenarios that crop up every now and then when his dreams are not preoccupied with being chased by some monster his mind conjures up. Where the sky is bathed in fire and he is flesh once again.

Completely, and utterly helpless to do anything.

Or anything other than scrambling his way through the screaming chaos of people scared out of their minds and a destroyed city, stumbling over cars and rubble. Or when he freezes up recognizing the first body, slumped on the ground in a puddle of their own blood. And then next when he forces himself to push forward and take cover in the wreckage of a building. And the next.

People he thought couldn't die and yet, there they are, cold and unmoving. And then they are everywhere, everywhere, everywhere.

Lambda jolts awake with a gasp. He has to force himself to take in a breath and then another. Wild eyes roaming the room, bright blue slowly shifting back to their usual brown. The room is bright, the lamp still turned on. It's comfortable. Safe. But the inside of his room can only comfort him so much. He has to be sure everything is alright on the outside.

Clawed hands scrabble to remove the charging cord from the port in his neck and Lambda kicks aside lightning bolt patterned sheets. Padding across soft carpet until he reaches the window, pushing aside pink heart patterned curtains, his stomach filled with nothing but dread as he awaits what he might see outside.

He squints as he is greeted with sunshine and the sounds of birds chirping. Lambda lets out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding.

It's safe outside. It's fine. For now but a relief nonetheless.

Bruce is relatively levelheaded and normal about his kids (as much as he can be, at least) but he 100% turns into one of those moms who thinks their kids are going to get kidnapped in the Target parking lot whenever Ra’s Al Ghul shows up. All of a sudden they ALL need to be behind him, they need to hold hands, and Bruce is .03 seconds away from decking Ra’s just on principle. That’s how keyed up he gets.

Where Damian is left alone in Gotham (from plot convenience) and refuses to stay home, so he goes out as Robin by himself. However, he gets into trouble and has to run away from the enemy who keeps chasing him. Just as he thinks that he’s going to get caught, Jazz rescues him by making Shadow catch and absorb him.

Thus, an unlikely friendship happens as Robin uses Jazz and her Shadows as a little getaway and convenient portal, and Jazz makes her first friend in Gotham.

Bingqiu AU where Luo Binghe's the chosen village sacrifice to the evil deity who lives up the mountain.

Normally the village sends maidens, but they've more or less run out of expendable girls of the right age and, ahem, "virtues". So of course Luo Binghe's early life bad luck kicks in. In the wake of his mother's death there's no one to really care about what happens to him, he's fairly pretty, and the village leaders decide that if they dress him up like a girl the teenaged homeless kid should pass well enough. And hey, y'know, he's probably got a hard life ahead for him anyway -- dying in a brothel of some venereal disease or on the streets of exposure or starvation. At least as a sacrifice, everyone else gets to benefit from his loss! And the kid will get added to a shrine and be remembered as a hero! If anything, he should be happy about this!

Binghe is not happy about this.

But he's also a skinny underfed nobody who is easily overpowered, dressed up like a bride, and tied to a post. So. Not much he can do but wait for the evil deity to come and do whatever horrible thing he's gonna do to him.

Meanwhile, Shen Yuan is pretty sure he's been isekai'd into the over-powered hero of some kind of supernatural adventure story? He's not totally sure because he doesn't recognize the setting, but the signs are there. He's got a shrine-like base of operations (though it seems to have become corrupted/ruined, probably he has to restore it somehow), he has a very resilient and handsome new body with spiritual energy of some kind flowing through him, and a very clearly magical sword. Plus lots of neat starter powers! Though it feels like he has other abilities that have been blocked somehow? Probably he has to level up in order to access them.

When he treks out of his "base" and finds what seems to be a distressed maiden, he takes it for his beginner hero mission. The girl claims that she's been doomed to be sacrificed to an evil god. That sounds a little above Shen Yuan's pay grade for dealing with, so he unties her and decides that they had better just get out of the whole region altogether. He already packed up anything useful from his base, anticipating he might get caught up in an adventure once he left, so they follow the river away from the settlement until they reach another one.

While they travel, Luo Binghe tells Shen Yuan about the cursed deity, Shen Qingqiu, who was cast out of the heavens for slaughtering one of his brethren and has apparently being do-who-knows what to maidens from the local village in exchange for his "protection" ever since. Sounds like a real asshole! And also mid-level boss type bad guy at least. Shen Yuan hopes he doesn't have to fight him, but he probably will.

Thank goodness he found Binghe, though! Clearly the helpful little sister type! He's definitely going to require her assistance if he's going to figure out how to navigate this world and level up his skills enough to take on a god.
