@softsliders19 for Jimmy
“Hello, I am Baymax.  I was alerted for the need of medical attention when you said, Ow. On a scale from one to then, how would you rate your pain ?”  He can’t show the pain scale on their stomach anymore, but they pull out a picture on the Mini-Max (as they call his phone) and shows off the pain scale.

I am making my friend watch the new Superman show with me and we just watched the most recent episode with Doctor Ivo. At the end, Jimmy is sad because his two best friends walk off all romantically into the sunset. I think nothing describes difference between the aroace and allo experience better than our very different responses to that scene.
My response was that Jimmy’s needs as a friend were clearly being disregarded in favor of the “more important” romantic feelings developing between Clark and Lois. And despite him shipping the two of them, it doesn’t change that it always hurts when you get third wheeled or left out by your closest friends. But I was confident that once the romantic tension settled and the three of them had a chance to talk, Lois and Clark would start making space for their friend again.
Meanwhile, my allosexual friend’s response was that “they need to give Jimmy somebody.” That the way to cure his sadness was to give him a romantic partner. Which was a response that shocked me, considering that my friend is very on board with my desire to maintain our close friendship after their marriage while not pursuing a romantic relationship myself.
And I cannot stress enough that finding a romantic partner cannot be the only solution to feeling sad when your best friends get together. What kind of message does that send to asexual or aromantic people? That you will lose all your friends to romance and you won’t have any fulfilling relationships yourself unless you also get with the program?
I am curious to see which direction the show takes this, but Jimmy seems like a prime candidate for either ace or aro representation. I hope that this can be a moment to help people untrain the knee-jerk response that romance isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution to relationship ills.

Barely two minutes into Grian's Ep 8 and I'm losing it... what a fantastic task, oh my gosh. Jimmy on Discord haunting him from beyond the grave...
Every bit of that so far, from "No way!" to "Prove that you can see me!" and "This- This is mad-" is gonna make awesome 'fic material...
Jimmy: "And you're looking at Etho and ZombieCleo"
Grian, panicked, cutting him off: "Okay okay okay okay okay!"

“Hey, Jimmy,”
“Mhm?”
“Not to overuse a metaphor, but, do you think the canary ever missed the sky?”
Tango could feel Jimmy’s gaze on him. “What do you mean?”
“You know. The canary in the coal mine. Did y... did it miss the sky? Does it remember it?”
Tango imagined Jimmy shifting his wings, head quirked staring at the sky. “Depends, I guess, like if it was born down there or not. Or hatched, or whatever.”
“Do birds have like an instinct or something for the sky?”
Jimmy made a sound as if shrugging, and then seemed to remember he couldn’t be seen. “I dunno. I don’t think it particularly matters, if it’s being taken care of, y’know?”
“Did they take care of the canaries in mines back then?”
“Yeah, they obviously had to feed ‘em and stuff. But when the birds passed out from the lack of air or the gas or whatever the miners would like, resuscitate them.”
Tango smirked at the empty air. “Birdie CPR?”
He could feel Jimmy smiling back. “Something like that, I guess. But they did care about the birds.”
“’Cause the birds were the warning.” Tango nodded. “If they were gone, the miners wouldn’t know they were gonna die.”
“I mean, I imagine the miners probably enjoyed the company. I hope they did, anyways. It sounds nice.”
Tango pursed his lip. “Yeah, it’s a lot nicer having a little birdie with ya when you’re down in some dark stinky deadly death cave.”
Jimmy’s gaze was back on him now.
“...Of death.”
“You asked if the canary ever misses the sky.” Jimmy’s voice was soft. “Maybe it likes the coal mine, sometimes? The sky can be cold and open and lonely. Sure the mine is dark, but the canary has company. A warm home and a hand that feeds it.”
“Making the best of a bad situation.”
He could feel Jimmy’s frown. ”And I mean, if there’s a mine there’s probably like, gemstones and stuff. You don’t find that on the surface.”
“Unless it’s emeralds.”
Jimmy huffed at him, and Tango watched the players scurrying around in front of them.
“I think they’re digging our graves over there.”
“Looks pretty lame.”
Tango pictured Jimmy sneering at the little cobblestone tombstone the other players stood before, face all scrunched up. He laughed at the image. “Yeah, I don’t think they’re even making me one.”
They watched in silence as others scurried around them and the ship in the distance. There was some saying, or song lyrics or something, about ships and anchors.
“...Did the canary ever love the coal mine?”
Jimmy hummed. “Well, I certainly tried.”

HE WON!!!!!!
Finally. Epic win Robert Downey Jr.
Nobody deserved it more. It’s been a long time coming 😭🤍
Also, fuck Jimmy Kimmel for that low blow. No one has had a better comeback than that incredible man. I will always be biased when it comes to RDJ.
Yay to all the winners. I teared up a bit watching Emma Stone win. She was stunningly good in Poor Things. Incredible.
Last but not least, Cillian Murphy, the anomaly. What a legend! He finally gets the appreciation he deserves. Such an underrated actor. He’s truly one in a Cillian 💫🌼

Another Trust Life comic/doodle based on a conversation in the server about "I won't say I'm in love" from Hercules. The idea would not leave my head. I had to draw it.

Okay but Mohk is such a green flag. It hurt me to watch this episode 😭. Like we've known for a few episodes now that mohk cares deeply for Day. He himself only put words to that feeling this episode.
Tumblr media
Call it whatever you want but he is starting to realise this is more. And it hurts because the thing he struggles with most is if he is wanted. The previous episodes even pointed out that he broke up with Porjai because he didn't want to burden her.
With all that in mind the way he treats August is of someone who genuinely believes in Day's happiness. He doesn't assume he knows better. He doesn't assume he's the one who has to "protect" Day. Don't get me wrong, he's protective. he's always there in case he does need him, but he tries to let him fight his own battles.
Tumblr media
There is a certain kind of jealousy that always gets glorified in media. And i get it's appeal. But this kind of jealousy - the kind where you want to be the helper (or the match maker as Mohk says). Where you have to be aware of yourself and your place- that speaks to me way more. It's the kind of jealousy where you aren't claiming ownership, but you're wishing you could be their safe space. And if you can't you will make them that safe space even if it's at the cost of your feelings.
Tumblr media
Here's the thing though. Mohk is Day's safe space. He's the first person Day looks for when he feels overwhelmed. His absence at the party clearly affected Day too. Mohk is his shoulder to cry on, his narrator, and his eyes. He's someone Day knows he can rely on without feeling like he's being 'taken care of'. And yet.
Tumblr media
Honestly. I get it. You do not get over your lifelong crush that easily. Realising your feelings for one person does not automatically get you guidebook on your own feelings. It's hard every time. (And upto this exact moment I was fully ready to defend August and his actions but the "I kissed him coz I pity him" thing really had me seething)
And Jimmy. Sir. The actor that you are. I felt his pain and confusion throughout the episode. The despair, the longing, the butterflies, the desire. Doc. UNFAIIIIRRRR
Tumblr media
Based on nothing but the way he was looking at Day in this scene I knew we were getting a kiss. He manages to pack sooooo much emotion in those eyes I was DYING IN ANTICIPATION OVER HERE. I knew Jimmy and Sea were going to ruin us with this series and I was right. Damn.

Okay I can’t write this one but my muse is throwing out a lot of stuff so I release this into the world and hope someone can write it:
Grian has a guardian angel, who is trying very hard to help him find his Soulmate. Jimmy isn’t the best at his job but damnit he’s trying.
Scar has a devil on his shoulder, but tangos gotten a bit too attached to his target to actually go through with the whole soul devouring thing.
Turns out these two obvious assholes are soulmates, and now the angel and the demon have to work together to make it happen. Not for any big reason but because they really just want their charges to be happy.
Too bad they might just be falling in love as well.
Possible plot points !
Angel Jimmy only being excellent at his job when Grian is in true danger. Otherwise he’s just shitting around
Scar nearly constantly getting hurt and not letting it dim his spirits.
Tango playing a bit of an angel because he really does dig the mischievous streak his kid has.
Something something two souls intertwined makes something something Divine.
(Angel Jimmy and tango get second chances to live as mortals at the end?)
Oh plot bunny I shall likely never be able to get to I release thee. May you go forth and leave me be!

I just had a thought that woke me in a cold sweat from a nap...
Since EEnE and KND technically exist in the same world, what if the adults from EEnE are always gone because they're busy terrorizing the KND?
This is not at all a serious headcanon, but it's funny to think about.

I find the idea that Stan's gang are called "the popular kids" by Butters yet Craig claims the majority of their classmates dislike them/think they're assholes is really interesting
Sure it could just be a matter of personal opinion from two wildly different characters, but I also don't think these two opinions really contradict each other realistically
There are plenty of real world people who are incredibly popular but widely disliked.
Personally, the way I've always viewed Stan's gang was as popular but more in an infamous way? I feel like Stan is usually credited as being a natural leader, and Cartman is credited usually with being very charismatic, but I would argue that these are qualities thar all four of the gang have to varying degrees and presentations, which I feel makes them maybe tolerable individually to their classmates, all four of them have a handful of likeable traits that you could reason would make them popular, but together as a unit they're a fucking destructive force with the capacity to pull people into crazy shit they didn't necessarily understand the scope of
And it can either be GREAT, like Stick of Truth/Black Friday Event where they essentially organized a massive game for the whole town
Or you know, they could steal Craig's birthday money and get them all sent to Peru
Either of these scenarios is just as likely as the other when getting involved with these four, so I imagine they're easy to love when things are going great, but even easier to hate or at least be wary of when they're even just suggesting doing something even more than mundane
(I sorta headcanon Craig nicknaming their group "The Supermassive Black Hole" due to their ability to suck people in and figuratively rip them to shreds (and also because Craig using space terms ))
Honestly I feel like the closest group that could be "popular" in the sense of them being well liked because they're just... likable? It would probably be Craig's Gang, which I feel is kinda funny, because when I think of them, I sort of imagine them being the opposite of Stan's gang
That is to say, I imagine Stan's gang is more tolerable individually, whereas I feel like Craig and Those guys are more likeable as a group?
I feel like Timmy and Tolkien are probably pretty affable individually, but Craig, Clyde and Jimmy I feel like have the capacity to be real shitheads if left unchecked and I love them for that. (Not really including Tweek here, even thought I technically include him with Catg, but he's kinda like their Butters so )
I wish I had the strength to factor in how the girls fit into this, but the fact that the girls are treated as one monolithic group fucking irks me too much

Guitar Princes - Part 2 [STYLE Series #004 - Muse (August 2010)]
Tumblr media
The original prince of guitar is undoubtedly this man, Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page. The length of his arms and legs, the way he held his guitar …… Everything about him was cool, and he was admired by men and women of all ages around the world.
Tumblr media
Peter Frampton was popular as an idol during the “hard” era of the 1960s, and later had a string of hits with Humble Pie and as a solo artist. Peter Frampton is still active today after many twists and turns. He used to be cute.
Tumblr media
The late Matthew Ashman (right), with his beautiful mohawk, and the members of Bow Wow Wow. John Frusciante, formerly of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, was an admirer of Ashman's.
Tumblr media
The Prince of Glam is, after all, Marc Bolan of T. Rex. He was popular for his fine permed hair and slender, sparkling fashion. He lived with witches, died prematurely in a car accident, and there's no shortage of legends about him.
Tumblr media
Paul Simonon (third from left) is the most legitimately good-looking member of The Clash, with each member having a different charm. His two sons, Louis and Claude, are also models!
Tumblr media
Nick Heyward of Haircut One Hundred, drew a lot of cheers wearing an Aran jumper from enthusiastic female fans and caused a whirlwind in the genre of Funka Latina. Even now that he has become an old man, he still looks somewhat cute.
Tumblr media
Paul Weller, the dashing, fashionable leader of The Style Council with Mick Talbot (left), who appeared at The Jam and became a solo artist and an influence to Oasis and Ocean Colour Scene.
Tumblr media
The uncle who co-wrote Band Aid's “Do They Know It's Christmas” with Bob Geldof? No, no, it's Midge Ure, the “Bearded Prince” of the Ultravox era.
Tumblr media
Scottish bard Mike Scott's cut from his Waterboys days. Many girls were attracted to Mike's appearance more than his deep traditional sound at that time.
Tumblr media
Edwyn Collins was the frontman of Orange Juice. He may not have a beautiful appearance, but his unique guitar sound is still as appealing today as it was in the past.
