Your lover gazed at you adoringly with a failed attempt to suppress his smile, brightening up his youthful face.

He watched you laughing at some amusing scene shown on your laptop screen, but he was the one out of breath.

Every time he heard you laugh, a serene sound that he grew to adore, happy thoughts would come rushing to his mind.

It was 11 AM during a weekend when you called him over to watch a certain interesting and heartwarming movie that caught your attention, and simply to enjoy his company.

The morning breeze blew quietly through the open window and the sun shone like golden amber, casting a lovely glow in your cozy room.

“What’s with the big smile, love? Did something good happen?” you glanced at the smiling, young man, eyebrows quirked in tender curiosity.

“Yes, you happen to be here. Life seems to be more joyful, beautiful and full of hope with you by my side.” He responded in a genuine tone, his words brimming with endearment.

“Are you happy having me around?” your expression softened as your kind gaze bore into his honest ones.

“Happy and thankful,” He hummed, lips curled into a radiant smile. “No matter how tough our lives get, we’re the happiest when we’re blessed with someone who makes us feel loved, cherished, valued and seen. Someone who reminds us that even when the world feels heavy and hopeless, we won’t face it alone as long as they’re here with us.”

“I’m grateful to have you, too.” Taking his hand in yours, you looked at him with a glint of deep affection, as deep and clear as the clearest of seas. “You are home to me, and so much more than that.”

Hearing that from you made him feel an overwhelming sense of peace and endearing love engulfing him like a gentle hug.

When he thought that his heart couldn’t get warmer and be at ease any further, it did.

Lord Alexander makes his grand entrance by an explosion of magical [harmless] flames amongst the guests, his slams his staff down and stands confidently with James perched on his shoulder, dolled up and pretty. He would gently let his mate down, to go mingle and enjoy himself.

His scales are lustrous and he’s decorated in expensive finery. He walks with his head held high, but every so often he pauses to regard his friends and allies, some who he takes their hands and plants soft kisses on the back of them. He’s attended these sorts of events many times and it shows.

He soon makes a beeline for the food.

HONOKO was carrying a black umbrella, making sure the sun didn't touch her at all. She was with Yushiro and Tamayo, who also held umbrellas.

She made sure her kimono didn't touch the ground as she stepped in front of a stand to buy something. She noticed a man there, staring at her. She didn't really mind it but after she bought the item she wanted and saw the man again she felt chills down her spine.

Reaching for your teacup, you bit back a laugh when you noticed that Malleus was holding your right hand the whole time.

“My love, you can let go of my hand now. I’m not going anywhere.” you said teasingly with a failed attempt to suppress a giggle.

Glancing down at his tightly intertwined fingers with yours, a faint shade of rose pink dusted Malleus’s cheeks.

Your lover looked ever so endearing when he felt shy or embarrassed, a rare sight that only the lucky ones like you could see.

He lifted your hand to his lips, brushing a light kiss on your knuckles before letting go of his hold on you.

“I’m just happy to have you here.” Malleus gave you a soft smile, the same smile that you always cherished and adored in every lifetime you lived with him.

“I’m happy to be here with you too.” you beamed, radiant eyes smiling at the corners. 

The living room reacted to your lively mood and the brightness that emitted from you. 

Primrose, daisies and daffodils sprung on the tiled floor. Climbing hydrangeas and trumpet vines covered the walls.

The loveliest thing of all was the floral halo sitting atop your head; a simple yet pretty flower crown made of lilacs, freesia and chrysanthemums.

Spring faeries are truly magical. 

Malleus thought to himself as he marveled at the wondrous view in front of him, a sunlit room alive with vibrant colors and greenery.

Carefully plucking the pink peony that blossomed around your wrist, you cut the stem short and tucked it behind Malleus’s ear.

With an adoring smile, he gently touched the delicate petals.

Then and there he could feel his heart and the world around him blooming beautifully with warmth and happiness.

It was the winter season at the moment, but to Malleus, spring has arrived at last.

🌸Departing🌸

Even if the king didn’t partake in the festivities he was just happy to be there, amongst friends. He hasn’t been this happy in a good century. To simply dance, congregate, eat and drink and watching all the activities take place was enough for him. But he was more so happy to see James happy, especially.

Once he piled on a healthy plate of left overs for himself, Hannah and James, he would saunter over towards his mate and give him a small tap with his tail, letting him know it was time to go. Giving there goodbyes the pair would exit the way they came, amongst a dazzling torrent of magical flame.

Thank you for the ask!! 💝💝💝 And omg, R. Marie absolutely loves Nina! They took her under their wing right away and they want so badly to be someone that Nina aspires to be like, and as much as R. Marie wants to be cruel and evil to others, they can't deny how much they care for Nina and want to be close to her in a familial way 🥺💝 (Although I will say, as much as they care about her and want to be an evil role model, R. Marie shares a flaw with Cortex where neither of them ever really gave Nina her own choice on if she evens wants to BE evil. She's pretty much dedicated to it now, but the poor girl can't help but wonder if things could have been different if she was ever given that choice in the past...)

Also I almost forgot I was doing these little bonus parts of how I personally irl feel about each character, since my opinion usually differs from R. Marie's 😅 But not this time- I absolutely adore Nina! Sometimes when characters are added in later games they can feel out of place or strange, but even though Nina first appeared 5 (main) Crash games into the series, I think she fits into the world perfectly! I love her design and her original voice and her so-over-everything attitude, and she's actually one of only three characters where I liked the way she was designed and written in Crash of the Titans and Mind Over Mutant (the other being N. Gin and N. Brio). I also kinda feel bad that, like I said earlier, she was never really given a choice when it came to the path of evil and I do wish that she had that choice, but alas ;-;
