today in more zolu thoughts: yet another thing I find fascinating about zoro and luffy's relationship, which I believe the LA managed to capture pretty well despite the differences between it and the og source material, is that while zoro's capacity for loyalty and devotion where luffy's concerned are insane (the all-encompassing, heartfelt, lay down my life and dreams for you, follow you until death or the very end of everything kind of crazy), they're not entirely unconditional per se. the condition here being that he has to measure up to zoro's standards - that luffy has to prove himself a man worthy of following.

there are plenty examples of this in the manga, but I'll stick to where it and opla intersect. so manga!zoro pretty much stands firm with this condition when he agrees to follow luffy, warning him about not getting in the way of zoro's dream right away. opla zoro is a lot more reluctant to join in comparison, and he just seemingly goes along with the whole thing in a more "might as well" manner; even so, there's these few subtle moments where you can see him being struck awe by luffy's faith in himself/his dream (the dinner at kaya's) and showing exactly why he's a "different" kind of pirate (ie freeing the folks from orange town).

still, the most pivotal moment is zoro's fight with mihawk in both cases. this is where luffy has to really prove himself to zoro, for the first time. because talk of dreams and promises and not hindering them is nice and all, but can luffy really stand by what he says when push comes to shove? when the life of someone he cares about is on the line? and man. the answer is yes.

in the manga, by stopping johnny and yosaku from intervening and refusing to do so himself as well, even though he was deeply upset by zoro getting hurt, luffy proved he wouldn't go back on his word nor betray zoro's trust and the faith he had placed in him. in a similar fashion, opla luffy letting zoro go ahead with the duel despite his own apprehension/doubts and nami questioning both of their choices, is what finally led to zoro recognizing him as his captain out loud and accepting his role as a first mate.

I just think it's interesting that these two kind of make each other walk on a tightrope. only the world's greatest swordsman can stand by the pirate king's side. the pirate king can have the world's greatest swordsman by his side, if he proves himself worthy of it. but the best part? for me, it's that zoro and luffy are able to challenge one another this way (or set the bar that high) because they absolutely believe the other can rise up to it and beyond.

I've noticed a rise in radfems/TERFs in feminism tags and more specifically trying to rebrand as The Real Feminism or True Feminism since it's "for the girlies" or whatever.

I am begging you all to help me bury them.

Because as a teen who grew up during the peak of exclusionary "bi/pan/aces aren't vaild" and "kill all men" era where the concept of misandry THRIVED I'm telling you this feels extremely similar.

And radfem/terf ideology got mainstream from those sentiments being so popular and so easy to tap into. It was framed as being righteous since men were oppressors.

"Women are good and men are just mean oppressors! Look at everything they've done!" is such a common sentiment in those circles.

It also completely lacks critical feminist thought.

And we're STILL dealing with the affects of it over a decade later.

.....So let's talk about JKR since she's currently the Figurehead and favorite of the movement that's trying to rewrite feminist history.

It's 2023. It's a year before a US election where Project 2025 and Trump would happily create a road for trans and queer folks to be imprisoned if not worse.

Which is I'm sure why JKR has been photographed and interacting with multiple members from The Heritage Foundation, people whove spoken for them, and people who attended theyre meetings. She even enjoyed watching Magdalen, who who she credits for becoming a TERF.

But do you know who Magdalen is? Or what else she was saying? What about any of the other people in the photo? Do you know the scope of what JKR was internalizing and how bad it was? Do you know she has ties to conservative anti-abortion groups?

Do you know what The Heritage Foundation? Probably not and they're the worst so let me tell you why it's such a huge red flag for her and other so-called TERFs and radfems to be associated with them.

Because I can tell you right now she heard a lot of things from those people and there is no fucking way in hell that it was just about queer people or just some sex-specific concerns. And it wasn't just passive bigotry.

Anyone who doesn't conform to the idea of a white, straight nuclear family (re: single mothers, leftists, immigrants, gay couples, etc) is made out to be an enemy of the state.

Anyone they can justify as a "national threat." Yes, they call us all a national threat on their site, their book, and the pamphlets they pass out to politicians. The details are listed on their website including the Mandate For Leadership which is their instruction guide for the next president.

I'm not exaggerating when I say it calls for genocide, prison camps, and eugenic cleansing.

Several people in that photo don't even support abortion, a basic women's rights that JKR claims to care about deeply.

JKR was consuming white supremacist dogma under the guise of feminism.

And she's not willing to admit or correct it which is where the problem lies. She won't even admit to herself that she was fooled or that it's bad or hypocritical.

My concern is that she is not the only person who's fallen for it and there are more everyday.

So it's very important to me y'all learn how to filter out what Actual Feminism is in this age where literal fascism is attempting to take its place.

Firstly,

Real, actual feminism will be welcoming to EVERYONE

Because the patriarchy doesn't only affect women or cis people or white women and it's an insult to every previous feminist icon to say otherwise.

Feminists have been fighting for decades to unite people under the concept that Patriarchy is a system that will be brought down with allyship and solidarity.

They've been fighting so hard and so long to prove that everyone deserves the same rights as men.

That women are just as capable as men and shouldn't be stopped from entering fields of study and sports dominated by men. They've been fighting to prove that women are just as capable and smart as any man is, that men would benefit from it dismantling patriarchy too.

Women fought side by side with the queer community to get Roe v Wade passed in 1973. You know why? Because despite what radfems and TERFs will tell you trans women benefit from protecting and standing up for bodily autonomy.

Do not let bigots tear drive a wedge between two groups that experience gender based oppression and would benefit from the same exact rights.

We have changed history together and they're terrified we'll do it again.

The Missing Link in Scott's Characterization

(Wrote this in a random document and I think it's good so I'm loosely transcribing it here)

These are some of my thoughts on a crucial facet of Scott's character in the Life Series that I think is overlooked by the fandom.

From my personal viewpoint, people put a lot of emphasis on Scott's caring about his allies over everything else. I think this is an important characteristic. However, I think this being shown as the most central trait is a detriment to how people read his involvement with the overarching narrative. It might be less of a problem if he wasn't directly involved with the final fight of nearly every Life Series.

Because of this combination of things, his main interaction with fans' reading of the final fight is being willing to do anything to make sure his friends win. It gives people the tendency to attribute some victories partially to him, which upsets people who want main read of the story to focus entirely on the winner. But this also has meant that one of Scott's main traits is overlooked.

Just as much, and often, more than Scott values his allies, he values fairness. To showcase this, let's look at Limited and Last Life, where he had the most control on how the final fight took place.

In Last Life, when it's down to the final four, Scott *could* have teamed up with Pearl, his ally all season, to kill Martyn and Ren. That aligns with wanting either your or your allies to win, no? But he doesn't. He suggests they split to the 4 corners of the map and have a fair fight on equal footing. Very fair.

With Limited Life it's even more apparent. Scott and Martyn have an impressive amount of time. They could both still die multiple times. Impulse is running out, and there's a numbers advantage. They could have killed Impulse and Scott could have let Martyn win, or Scott could have given Martyn his time to fight Impulse alone. But instead, he suggests they all go down to the same amount and have a fair fight.

In both situations, Scott puts fairness *over* an alliance victory. Even though Limited Life didn't end up ending fairly, that had nothing to do with Scott.

Double Life certainly has the strongest claim on Scott "letting someone win". That his death is an apology for abandoning Pearl.

But if you listen to what Scott says in the finale, he never apologizes. He says he didn't think they'd get this far, he says she deserves this more than him, and then he says the iconic "Tilly death do us part."

Scott didn't fight Pearl. But I don't think it came out of remorse. I think that too, came from a sense of fairness. Which is that Pearl, by all accounts, DOES deserve this win. If they fought it would basically be up to a draw. To chance. Scott has every chance of winning. But if you go over the events of Scott's final episode, he mostly runs. He survives. While Pearl 1v2'd two separate pairs and won! The only reason Pearl hasn't killed Scott already, who has been her enemy all season, is because they were randomly assigned to be soul-linked. A concept Scott has fought since the very beginning. He knows that while he never hurt their chances, Pearl is the reason they are here, and Pearl is the reason he is here. It wouldn't be fair for Pearl to lose to what is basically a coin flip. So, he doesn't leave it up to random chance.

So yes, Scott is loyal and does care about his allies, he proves that again and again. But the way he is involved in how the series end shows that his sense of order and fairness are equally important. Also, I think viewing his contributions from this angle help remedy some of the reasons people don't like his usual characterization because of how it effects the agency of other characters.

only friends ep10: brief thoughts on all the pairs

SandRay:

"Sand, please understand me. Being with me requires patience."

They absolutely NAILED this episode! The way they handled the progression of Sand and Ray's scenes was so satisfying for me. I mean, I'm aware that Sand and Ray had their fair share of issues in previous episodes, but let's put all of that aside because this episode was about Sand's efforts to get Ray the help he needs.

From Sand's initial attempts to persuade Ray to go to rehab, the adorable flirting between them, to Ray testing Sand's courage (revealing his truth to his dad) without ACTUALLY making him to do it – it was all brilliantly executed.

And I couldn't help but CHEER when Ray tossed his bottles into the trashcan. LIKE THAT'S MY MAN! The entire confrontation between them after Ray discovered that his dad paid Sand to take him to rehab was SO intense. I CRIED. Like it's definitely one of, if not the best scenes, from this show.

FirstKhao's performance really touched me deeply, and Ray's emotional monologue in rehab at the end was incredibly heart-wrenching. It was a realization that Sand had been there for him all along without expecting anything in return. I must say, they executed this episode exceptionally well!

BostonNick:

"I'm nasty too. Don't we deserve each other?"

BostonNick has always been my favorite OF pair, hands down. Their dynamic can literally be summed up with, "Don't we deserve each other?"

Because, yes! Like people portray Nick as a pitiiable victim of Boston's manipulation, who lacks self-respect, but it's FAR MORE COMPLEX. Nick isn't just a sad heartbroken loser. He's also a nasty person, as he admits.

Both of them have engaged in toxic behavior and done hurtful things, but deep down, they are just human. The reason Nick keeps returning to Boston, despite attempting to move on, is his pure love and understanding of Boston, a connection that no one else shares.

Nick has gone to great lengths, stooped really low, to attain Boston. So obviously, he cannot judge or punish Boston for the terrible things he does. Because they're equally deranged, your honour! Nick GETS Boston. And that's what moves Boston, especially because friends simply abandoned him without giving him a chance. They didn't even try to hear him out when he tried to defend himself. They all left. But Nick? Nick came back! Even after everything! Even after promising he won't!

Nick is the only one willing to give him another chance and risk it all for him! This sets Nick apart in Boston's life because Boston struggles with love & hurts people, but Nick is the one who believes Boston deserves love.

And damn, are they perfect for each other? Boston using the same method Nick originally used to seduce him in the first episode, a photo on his phone, to win Nick back? Delicious. Boston admitting that he doesn't take good care of things he owns? Nick saying that some things can't be replaced? Lovely metaphor game.

And then the rooftop scene. Obviously, both are trying to grow and become better, but it's clear that change doesn't happen overnight. Despite Nick promising he'd never show up in front of Boston again, he ends up on the rooftop with him. And Boston, who's trying to be more responsible with what he cares about, still attempts to act like he doesn't care when Nick arrives. Their personalities haven't suddenly transformed; they're simply trying to become better versions of themselves.

Boston slowly lowers his guard and decides to be vulnerable. And what actually flipped the switch for Nick is Boston admitting that he misses him, the first time Boston genuinely expresses something akin to love for Nick. And then all hell breaks loose. For the first time, they make love, not just fuck. Ugh, they stole the show.

TopMew:

"You won't believe anything I say right now. But I will prove it to you."

I'm sooo sorry, but for some reason, TopMew have never resonated with me. I think it's because they've never had a truly sincere connection?

Initially, Top was interested in Mew simply to "try" being with a virgin, which is why he pursued Mew. He eventually develops real feelings for Mew, but by this point, Mew is unsure if Top's intentions are genuine. Mew tests if Top meets all his "criteria" or not. When Top finally "checks all those boxes" & Mew finally starts to trust him, Top ends up cheating on him. And now that Top is trying to win Mew back, Mew seems to be using Boeing as a way to teach him a lesson.

Their entire relationship feels like a game where each one is trying to gain the upper hand over the other. The "3-month dating rule" almost feels like a challenge. Initially, Mew plans not to sleep with Top for at least 3 months to see if Top can commit. Now, Top is attempting to prove that he can sustain a relationship for more than 3 months. Their storyline is honestly the worst for me.

I'm not suggesting that they don't have feelings for each other, but I don't find their dynamic enjoyable, and I'm not convinced they should end up together. I don't know if that'll change?

This is entirely composed of Imagine Dragons. That's kinda the whole point of this. If you have nothing kind to say about my band of choice, say nothing at all. *Yes, I will still put 'by Imagine Dragons' after every song*

In order of which ones I believe are Most SoapGhost to least. Some songs are entirely because of vibes. I'll explain the best I can for some of them.

There will be mentions of some MW3 spoilers but I don't go into detail. It's more like the reason one of the songs is SoapGhost coded to me is because of MW3 but not like explicitly... That makes no sense, but you'll see (and NO I do not want to discuss MW3 or my opinion on it. My only opinion is it was cheap and who needs canon anyways)

West Coast by Imagine Dragons

Where do I even begin on this one??? The actual instrumental element to it reminds me heavily of like their time in Las Almas for some reason? Which kind of doesn't make sense, but oh well.

Like tell me this isn't Ghost addressing Soap upon realizing his love for him. Like tell me this isn't Ghost realizing how far he's fallen for Soap after everything that happened during and after the "Alone" mission!! And actually listening to the song helps so much cause like the melody and the way the words are sung is just so desperate yet so devoted and just *dies*.

"I ain't no superman/I ain't no holy ghost/I'm just the one that keeps you up at night, you love the most/I'll be your strong man/I'll be your west coast/I'll be the sun, I'll be the waves, I'll be the one that loves you most"

The refrain itself gives me goosebumps in like a happy upbeat way. The actual verses are so mellow and almost sorrowful but the refrain is something so upbeat, almost. It's like it's actually Ghost realizing how far he's willing to go for Soap and he's just confessing it with such confidence because he needs to. He loves Soap and Soap deserves something strong.

"I'll change my ways, if you would stay/And all your tears that you have cried will go away/Oh just grant me one more day/Oh, my love, please don't give up"

Soap addressing Ghost this time. Soap believing he's too confident, too cocky, too bold, too much for Ghost. "I'll change my ways if you would stay" literally screams Soap with confidence issues wanting nothing more than to be with Ghost, but so afraid Ghost doesn't want him. Soap seeing all the pain Ghost has been through in his life and just wanting to heal it, wanting to make Ghost whole again, and wanting to help Simon find reasons to smile. Soap begging for time to prove to Ghost he's worth it (either Soap proving himself to Ghost or proving to Ghost that Ghost is worthy)

"See the devil at my door/I see the future of the ones that I've ignored/I guess I was born to be at war/But my love, I won't give up"

Once again back to Ghost addressing Soap. This is such a strong Ghost verse I cannot explain it to you. "I guess I was born to be at war" literally Ghost-coded?? Like literally grew up with an abusive father and struggled with all sorts of shit in his life, even without the military??? But now he's got Soap so he can't give up.

"So my love please don't give up"

Literally both of them, just desperately begging the other to hang on, to keep fighting and loving each other to the ends of the earth.

Just one of the most SoapGhost coded songs I have in any of my playlists, literally listened to it on repeat after hearing it for the first time cause the first time i heard it was back in February when I first fell victim to the COD brainrot. It just immediately struck me as SoapGhost (was definitely influenced by the fact I was thinking of them but still)

Bleeding Out by Imagine Dragons

BRUH literally so Ghost-coded it isn't even funny. Like, Ghost being made up of so many scars, some of which still feel like open wounds in his mind, finding this thing of perfection that is Johnny "Soap" MacTavish and suddenly realizing that if he's gonna die it might as well be for Johnny. Ghost not wanting to drag Johnny down into the mess that he is and that comes with 'Ghost' and being like "I'd rather bleed out on the ground than bring you to ruin"

This section is a lot more about vibes and the idea I've been playing around with making a SoapGhost fic where it's based on this song. This segment is so "Ghost falling deep into the dark side of this persona he's created but then remembering the life Johnny gave back to him"

Um... just realizing this is very much the "Alone" mission after Graves's betrayal and honestly? Kind of MW3 coded ngl...

Tell me this isn't SoapGhost!!!! Just this whole song is actually secretly the way Ghost reveals he's an amateur poet cause he writes this as his declaration of love rather than be fucking normal.

More or less about vibes. Some of the lyrics definitely Soap addressing Ghost coded.

Like tell me this isn't Johnny "You know it, Lt." MacTavish addressing Simon "You with me, Johnny?" Riley.

Somehow very much the two of them but I can't tell who is addressing whom here... Somehow kind of feel like Ghost being like "I get to fuck John "Soap" MacTavish everyone else go home". I genuinely don't know how to describe the feeling behind this particular line but it's so SoapGhost coded.

Guys... Like this is so SoapGhost. Just both being like "I'd follow you to hell and back" but in a much less cliche way.

This is someone, maybe not necessarily Ghost, addressing Soap and his chronic self-esteem issues.

*strangled noises* I know this is by far their most like "love song" song but like!!!!!!! "Do you know the line that I'd walk for you?" Um Ghost and Soap both risking their careers cause it's a Sergeant and a Lieutenant (at least Soap cause let's be honest, with Ghost being legally dead it'd probably be pretty hard to actually do something to his career without un-killing him).

"We could turn around or we could give it up" screams the two just being like "well if we don't wanna risk it we could just...not?"

4am Capt. James T. Kirk (and others) Appreciation Post

*Disclaimer, I'm only six episodes in*

Y'all. Kirk doesn't even seduce everything. Everything seduces him. He's perfect and beautiful. He's a man with a heart of gold and a weak stomach. He's so fucking cute. His face. His little weak heart. He loves his ship more than anything— even when he's completely removed from himself and battling against his own uninhibited train of thought, all he wants is his ship. Yes, he mentions Yeoman Rand in that scene, to illustrate his point to Spock (who was bawling his eyes out because Nurse Christine told him she loved him.) I just... Kirk is precious. He's important to me. His face when he hears the phrase, "They're my cargo." It's just... It's everything. He knows what that means and he hates it and he hates himself for falling for it and he's just... I love him. The fact that we flatten him into a one dimensional sexual predator is just cruel to him. He's a lover and a fighter and a passionate friend and protector. Kirk is reckless because he loves his ship and his crew. He's willing to throw caution to the wind if there's a chance it'll get them out of a close scrape. But he holds tight to that caution when he needs it. He won't let anything happen to the Enterprise or anyone on it. He grieves every loss. He weighs every choice heavily against Spock's cold but ultimately loving view of logic and reason versus Bones' cynical and calous attachment to personal feelings. It's hard for him every time. This is a man who values his tenderness over his ability to take command. In the end, if Kirk had to chose, I think he would chose the lover over the fighter. But not the whore. The friend, the brother, the father, the partner. Maybe he has slept with both Spock and Bones, but that's not the basis of their relationship. The basis of their relationship is trust and honesty and an eternal permission to speak freely with each other. Kirk doesn't want to be the commanding, controlling father of the 40s and 50s. He's a modern man being written at the same time as Gomez Addams, who loves his wife more than he loves anything in the world. I just... I need Kirk to get the love and attention he deserves. And Janice Rand is not the woman to give it to him. She's kind and understanding, but they're both very clear on the how and why of their professional relationship. The only people who can give Kirk what he needs are Spock and Bones together. I can see where people are coming from when they chose one pair out of the three to ship, but please consider: They're three parts of a whole. Kirk is the tender, gentle hand that just wants to hold the others and shield them from everything out there in the big bad world. But his bleeding heart would run rampant with Bones' encouragement and be crushed under Spock's aversion to feelings. He needs balance. They all do. Spock would let Bones shut himself down and turn into the callous, cynical man that's always lurking just out of reach. Bones would only ever challenge Spock's humanity to mock him or to prove a point and it would push him deeper into that emotionless hell he's dug himself. They both need Kirk if they're to retain their humanity. Thier love. Thier passion. He's a good captain and a good man. Even if he isn't perfect, he's trying his best. His greatest weakness is his refual to believe the worst of another human being.

BUT he doesn's let that stop him from putting his foot down when he believes that something isn't right. He has no patience for liars or thieves for their own gain. He's just... He's a strong man. Brave and upright and where did this cocky bastard we all remember come from? Which Captain Kirk are you thinking of that would purposely endager his crew to get some pussy?

I love Faith, but I'm almost always on Buffy's side, and I think Buffy went above and beyond to help her in Season 3.

Share a headcanon you have about Bangel or the Buffyverse?

My headcanon is that IWRY was a test of Angel by the Powers That Be. They sent Doyle that vision of Buffy to set everything into motion; it wasn't really genuine.

I think there were "three temptations" set up for Angel to overcome: the Gem of Amara, the Mohra demon, and the Shanshu. Angel only proved he deserved the Shanshu when he was willing to give up all three of them. (Whether he ever gets it or not is another question entirely.)

How would you have given Buffy and Angel their Happily Ever After?

I think Buffy's big wish was to be normal, and Angel's big wish was to be human, but I think both of them learn that getting what they think they want is less important than their bigger goals of helping people and keeping each other alive (and occasionally saving the world). So Buffy never gets normal, and Angel stays a vampire, but they find a way to fix the curse so they can help each other fight the good fight and provide each other solace and comfort along the way. (But I'd be happy with a Shanshu too! Any option where they're together is good!)

     "When he is well rested, well...as rested as he can be, I wish to thank him. He didn't even hesitate to lay his life on the line.       "He will be back with Beel when he has recovered. Until then, Beel will watch over him."

I believe she would be delighted at your care of the children, it will also give her a way to tell the difference, with out feeling bad. I dread the day she would ever accidentally make that mistake. Mc would punish herself so severely."

      "Favor for Mc accepted." He glared. "Only because I've slept with identical twins before and I understand that by vision alone it is fucking hard as shit to tell the difference."

    "Oh, angry is a minimal term for it." Satan smiled across the bed to him.

     "You were correct. About everything. I am replaceable, but if Mc shall have me, I will make sure you never have the opportunity to." He stared at Satan, eyes hard set, "All I ask is you are a bit...gentle, with her during your hours, seeing as recent events may change."

      "You assume I will have all forty-eight?" His smirk taking his face. "While I would love too, th-"

     "Satan, that's enough." Lucifers voice was low, commanding.

     "It does not matter. Just you, or even all of you, I told her I would still love her." Diavolo's eyes drifted back to you. "I meant what I said. If allowed the chance I will do everything in my power to make her happy."

     "I will admit, I am waiting for the day you fuck up. I won't push, I'll never tempt. I'll never try to seduce or take Mc from you if she is truly happy. Just know, the minute you fail, it's over." The blondes cheshire grin was back.

     "Good thing I've no plan to fail." He nodded.

     "We'll see. I'm nothing if not patient when I need to be."

     "Enjoy your waiting, I hope it not too torturous." Diavolo sent a thousand watt smile to Satan.

    "Oh my fuck, the dick measuring is real." Asmo sighed as he held his head in his hands.

     "Thought ya would be all for that." Mammon smirked as he leaned back in his chair.

     "We both know I much prefer actual cocks to this literary tension bullshit." He waved dismissively with a sigh. "As for the forty-eight hours, we can use enchantments and such to help her. Like protections and stuff."

      "It is appreciated, Asmodeus. I do not fear the care she will receive, more the... force...of which she may be taken." He grimaced.

     "Well, after that fucking scare and what I've looked up about carrying twins for human women, I personally am ordering a scale back. We can still show Mc a good time. Be a bit rough, but certain...activities for some will meet small adjustments." He placed his hands on his hips and glared in the direction of Lucifer.

     Clenching his fist, Diavolo released a slow breath. "I trust Lucifer to have enough wits about him and his chosen ways to enjoy himself. I myself am referring to the breeding." A small growl left him.

    "Breeding doesn't have to be violent and rash. Though it speaks volumes about how you bred her yourself." Satan tilted his head, eyes sparkling. He knew he was jabbing Diavolo again and it delighted him. "Not everything can be solved by brute force. I imagine just a small bit of finesse will change her world."

     "Enjoy your time while you can. After that, you will listen to me make Mc enjoy climax after climax during our coupling. Watch me raise our children, and maybe even breed more into her beautiful little cunt while you jerk off surrounded by old tomes and memories of how for just a moment, you experienced true happiness. It seems it could be difficult, which I am not fond of, but another child...it's astounding." He shook his head as he looked to you. "I would like to thank you, Belphegor. You risked your life with no hesitation. I'll never be able to express how thankful I am."

     Belphie almost did a double take. Lord Diavolo, of all people...thanking him? Who would have thought he would live to see the day... "I'd do worse for Mc. Passing out like a whimp wasn't hard." He sighed.

     "You had no idea how hard she was pulling, yet you never thought twice. It brings me comfort in knowing my child will have those around them that would be willing to die for them and their mother." His golden eyes were soft as he turned back to Belphegor. "Truly, thank you." He gave a small nod before turning back to look at you.

     "It ain't called 'ride 'n' die' ta be catchy." Mammon scoffed.

      "Ride and die? What does that refer to?" Confusion on his features as he turned to Lucifer for answers.

     "Fuck me, we really gonna explain like a four tier meme?" Mammon sighed.

      "It is a phrase that a group of close knit people use to express that bond. The terms 'ride and die' refer to being along and present through the trip of life until that person should pass, as death would be the only way to seperate those and the bond." Barbatos informed as he approached your bed out of seemingly nowhere, startling a scream from Mammon in an ear piercing register.

     "Did a six year old girl just manifest from you?" Leviathans teasing laugh made the second born turn and slap his shoulder. "Shut the fuck up. Ain't no one ask you shit."

     "That was almost on par with Asmodeus." Barbatos smiled. "I do apologize, I did not intend to startle."

     "Well do a better job, man. Jeez!" He turned his blushing face away, embarrassment now taking hold.

     "I haven't heard that type of scream since Lucifer threw Mammon from the spire to force him to fly." Belphie laughed until he was almost in tears.

     "That shit ain't funny! I was taking my time and shit trying to calculate the winds an shit, an that jerk off just fuckin' flung me! Like a fucking bag of beets no less!" He gave a small hiss as he leaned back in his chair, a look of betrayal in his face. "There I was just trying ta get a hug, but noooooo."

    "I believe I would have been more careful with a bag of beets." Lucifers tone soft and teasing. "Next time you fly, you are welcome to text me a thanks."

     "Imma send you therapy bills." He shook his head.

     "Cheap liquor and hotel rooms aren't therapy." Levi snickered.

      "I'm still so fucking pissed about dinner." Asmo huffed. "Someone better get fucked or made to cum next dinner, or so help me!" He pointed to Mammon.

    "Ain't my fault, don't be huffin at me," He looked at Asmo, before turning to Levi, "an you would be surprised how much it actually really helps, if ya ever left yer room." A snarky smile on his face.

     "Shove it, Mammon!"

     "Where ya want it?" He laughed as he flipped his middle finger up with a smile.

     "Is...is that...another soul?" Beels eyes held a sense of wonder Lucifer hadn't seen since the Celestial realm.

     Looking down quickly to you, Diavolo took a deep breathe. "Two. She is carrying two of my children."

     "It happened so fast, I thought it would have been slower." Asmodeus voice full of softness.

     "So...did the soul seperate too? Or did another one just appear?" Levi asked, in a state of shock.

     "It seperated. I...I am sorry I didn't say anything, it happened so quickly. I did not expect to see it..." Lucifers voice was full of shock as his crimson eyes never left your stomach.

     "Ya think they'll be bonded, like us?" Beels voice was barely a whisper.

    "Maybe." His own twin answered.

    "They look almost identical as it is...that means identical, right? Since it separated?" The Avatar of Lust moved closer.

    "I can't even think straight right now." Diavolo laughed nervously. "I have two children. Two." His voice low and soft now after a deep breath. "Welcome to the world." A genuine smile on his face. "I can't wait to meet you both."

ok i dont mean to get political on main but am i the only one who sees august as more than, idk, hitler? like i find him a very compelling character. and in zero ways whatsoever am i justifying a lot of his actions.

ok yes i will say i despised him for all of season 1. he was irritating, possessive, manipulative, bitchy, and i think we all know what topped it off. i mean it is worth noting that he was sorry. you could see it on his face the second he found out wille wasn't just trying to hurt him (which is what he had just done to him.) that being said he couldn't've possibly done worse with this regret, but... still.

obviously season 2 is where it gets good. the regret that he surpressed has clearly gotten to him, and of course wille is just having the time of his fucking life (as he should.) this is where i am choosing to insert my analysis of his relationship with sara.

I FUCKING SAID IT. i mean i do not understand how on earth sara fell for him but i'm not mad that she did. seeing august--who has previously never really developed a relationship without an ulterior motive--get tripped by her. in a way she tought him to actually talk to people. and seeing him in love with her, like IN. LOVE., def started to turn me. and i'm sorry but we can talk about the scene where he's getting ready for her to come over before the ball bc idc that shit has me a puddle on the floor its precious.

aaaaannnnnddd that's where he slips again. but him ratting out wille to alexander just proves that everything he does it fulled by impulse, envy, and fear.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I'm getting to the Chip Revvington fight before my procedure tomorrow (nothing major, but it might put me out of commission for a day or two), which means no headcanons for him yet. Sorry to those who have asked! May I offer you a brain boy instead?

Let's be honest, your first encounters with this pretentious Suit are not going to be pleasant. He thinks knows he's smarter than you, and he'll take every opportunity he can to rub that in your face.

Clap back just once with actual facts to back it up, and he will be flabbergasted. How dare you make him look bad like that? You just got lucky; he's still smarter than you in every other way!

Oh, but you keep outsmarting him. And that frustrates him. So of course he keeps coming back, trying to prove his intellectual superiority.

It's strange, though. Even when he's got a leg up on you, he wants to keep going, even if that means he'll lose. And he realizes he's... actually listening to and learning from you?

This isn't right. He must be malfunctioning. Nope, diagnostics are all coming back normal, and none of his wires are crossed. Then what on Earth is wrong with him?

Benjamin ends up being the one to tell him, "You've caught feelings, you daft sod."

"Preposterous! An intellectual like myself could never develop such feelings for the likes of them!"

The next time he sees you, he realizes that, yes, he has developed feelings for the likes of you.

He practically vanishes off the face of Toontown for several days while he tries to calculate the perfect way to confess to you. There are formulae and spreadsheets and everything. But nothing seems right! There are too many variables and ways this could go wrong! What if you reject him because he didn't do this right? Poor guy's a nervous wreck.

If you want to date him within the next calendar year, you'll probably have to be the one to ask him out. Otherwise, he's just going to go around in circles trying to plan the perfect confession until his brain explodes. That or Ben will blab his secret. Brian won't be happy about having his plans ruined, but he will be happy about being with you!

You still get into your little debates when you're together, but it's no longer about proving who's the smartest (okay, maybe it is just a bit, but it's friendly competition). It's more about learning from each other and making each other better.

Now, when Brian brags about being the smartest Cog around, he also brags about dating an equally intelligent person! Anyone who says otherwise shall face his wrath.

His wrath is mostly a lot of yelling and maybe sending in the Desk Jockeys, but it's a nice sentiment!

When it comes to dates, he falls back into that bad habit of overthinking and making himself anxious. He wants every date to be perfect! His brilliant partner deserves the best! He will carefully analyze your interests, likes and dislikes, and personality to create the perfect outing for you! Nothing can go wrong!

Something will probably go wrong because that's just life, and he will frantically scramble to fix it, which will get him more worked up, which will cause more mistakes... You'll probably have to calm him down and show him you're having a good time despite any setbacks.

Even if he doesn't always hit the mark, he's willing to put a lot of time, research, and effort into making you happy. You might have to dial him back just a bit before he thinks too hard and freezes up, though.

hello lovely lovely anon. i did see that post on @altruistic-meme's page and thought it was quite amusing so this was a fun prompt to recieve. i cannot say it's all fluff, it is mostly hurt/comfort butttt i still think it does the job.

i'm so sorry for taking a few days i've just had actual responsibilities and unfortunately cannot spend my whole day writing (although i wish i could)

“What are you doing here? How did you get in?

In the end, Wille only lasted four days in the palace before he cracked. The silence of the castle was practically unbearable. He didn’t know, originally, if his mom was giving him space or avoiding him out of shame, but either way the days leading up to Christmas were spent alone in his room. Wishing for Simon. Wishing for Erik. Wishing for just about anybody. He knew that no one was going to come. 

It was because he had all this time alone that he started to let his mind wander. He thought about what kind of King he wanted to be. He thought about what kind of person he wanted to be. He pondered how Erik would have approached the situation for a bit but quickly turned away from that thought process when all it was going to bring was hurt. In all honesty, he had no idea how Erik would have reacted to this situation. He wanted to believe that Erik would have supported him and what he wanted but he also knew that Erik understood elements of the monarchy that Wille never would. He was too scared to think about the idea that Erik would have been on the Queen’s side. He knew that Simon had been on his, which is what makes all of this so painful. The one person who had been there for him, he had left out to dry in the worst possible way. 

In the end, when the plan finally formed in his head, he knew that the decision was for himself. Yes, part of him hoped that by doing this, Simon would be back in his life, but if he was being honest with himself, he also knew that he was tired of being fake. Fake fake fake. Everything in his life had always been fake. Including him. He was sick of it. So even though the thought of coming out still almost sent Wille down the rabbit hole, he knew it was a decision he had to make. If he didn’t that meant people like August would continue to win and that was something he could never allow to happen. 

And so, on December 23rd, two days before Christmas, Wille sat down at his too big desk, in his too big room and told the truth.  Or as much as he thought was needed. He didn’t want Kristina to murder him when she found out. He wanted to make sure that the video could not be covered up or intercepted. It might have seemed rushed or unplanned to just post this video to his official instagram, but he wanted it to come just from him, not outside sources involved. 

He dressed in his nicest clothes, pushed his hair out of his face, took one big final breath, and then hit record.

“Hi. Wille here. I am speaking to you, citizens of Sweden, not as your Crown Prince, but instead just another boy. I know that being in my position gives me privileges that I can never take for granted. I hope as I continue in this role, I am able to prove that I am worthy of your support. However, as a sixteen year old, who has just lost his brother, I was pushed into a position that I never thought would be mine. That I know I don’t deserve. However, that does not change the fact that this position is now mine. I want to be someone that the people of Sweden can trust and in doing so I have a confession to make. A few weeks ago I gave an interview surrounding a video that was released of two young men. At the time I was too scared to admit the truth but I will no longer let myself be hidden. I’m here to say that it was me in that video. I’m sorry that I was not truthful the first time. You have to understand, as someone who only recently started to come to terms with his sexuality, to be outed at that scale, in that way, was incredibly overwhelming and not how I ever wanted the information to get out there. I’m not so scared anymore. I am here to let people of Sweden know that I am queer. I know that in giving this statement, I have given up some elements of privacy, however the other individual in the video has not. Please let him have his privacy. I want to apologize again for being untruthful and I thank you for letting me try to make this right.”

When he finished his statement he quickly hit stop and let out a breath. He had done it. He had said all he wanted to say. Now all that needed to be done was to post it. Originally he had considered accompanying the video with a picture of him and Simon but the world had already seen more of them than they’d ever meant to. He also wanted to keep some parts of Simon just for himself. He sent Simon one single message before he hit post. 

I’m sorry if my decision brings more attention back into your life. It just had to be done. I’m sorry again… For everything

Then he hit the post button and turned off his phone. He knew if he kept it on he would be sent into a panic. He also knew that he would be able to avoid any messages from his mom. If she wanted to talk to him about the post, she had to come to him in person. He knew she would be upset he did it at all, but he also knew that, by doing it without her permission, he took away her ability to control the narrative. He wouldn’t let her control his words. Not again. He also knew that she never would’ve given permission anyways. 

It was too early to go to bed but he was exhausted anyway. He curled up under the covers and tried to let sleep come.

He didn’t know how long he was asleep but he was awoken by a banging on his door, followed by

“Prince Wilhelm, your mother is expecting you in her office.” Wille sighed. He should’ve known she would have never come to him. He calls through the door

“Coming,” Then slides out of bed. He realizes he never took off his outfit from the previous night so he looks down at his, now wrinkled, white button up and slacks. There’s not much he can do about that now so he just slides his hands down his shirt in an effort to straighten it out slightly then runs a hand through his hair. His mouth feels dry and stale so he quickly brushes his teeth, avoiding looking at himself in the mirror. He knows he won’t look good. He lets out another sigh and moves to open his door. Time to face the music.

Meanwhile in Bjӓrstard, Simon was listening to music, while attempting to read, when his phone chimed. After those first few days of chaos he’d been letting his phone run out of battery or keeping it off altogether but after Rosh and Ayub had come to yell at him for not answering his messages, he kept it on. He initially just ignores the phone chime, not in the mood to see if it’s just another person from his old school pretending they have a right to know things about his life or some stranger trying to follow “the boy from the video” on instagram. He manages to go back to his book but is brought out of it a few moments later by his phone chiming consistently for a few moments. Not wanting a repeat of finding out about the video being leaked, Simon groans and closes his book, grabbing his phone. 

The first thing that stands out is that he has a message from Wille. Wille. Who he’s been trying not to think about the past few days. If he thinks about Wille for too long, he’ll inevitably think about Wille’s last words to him and he’s not quite ready for the breakdown that’ll come when he thinks about that confession for too long. He initially ignores Wille’s message, not quite ready to see what he has to say. He also doesn’t know what kind of message he wants to find. If Wille’s message is one of those generic “Happy Holidays” he might hit something but he would probably also hit something if it was something like “Why didn’t you respond to my ‘I love you before break’,”. So instead of being forced to think about that he looks at the other notifications only to find his group chat with Ayub and Rosh blowing up. He’s still getting messages as he stares at the home screen. 

He opens the phone to a wall of messages. 

Simme are you okay? Did you know about this?

And the messages go on and on. He realizes he should probably open Wille’s message after this.

When he does though, it only seems to add to his confusion. His eyes finally land on a notification from Ayub with a link to an article.

“Crown Prince comes out in new video posted to his instagram.”

Simon has never opened instagram so fast. The first thing that pops up is indeed a video uploaded to Wille’s official instagram. The first thing Simon notices is how tired, but no less handsome, Wille looks. His heart cracks again. He also hates that his first reaction to Wille is still to worry about him. Maybe Sara has a point about him. 

By the time he’s finished watching the video, Simon’s cheeks are covered in tear tracks. He can’t believe it. Wille did it. Wille came out. Wille came out. Simon’s not sure what changed between his initial statement and now but it doesn’t really matter because Wille came out. He also admitted to being in the video. Simon has never been more proud of him. That pride is quickly overshadowed by worry when he thinks about the fact that Wille has probably released this without the queen’s knowledge. The worry grows when he realizes Wille doesn’t have any support in the palace, besides maybe Malin but he doesn’t know if she’s working, since Erik is gone. He quickly slides back to Wille’s messages, ignoring the inflood of new notifications from everywhere. He knows he should probably respond to Ayub and Rosh but he can do that after. First he tries to call him but it quickly goes to voicemail. He tries a few more times just in case and when the call still doesn’t go through he decides to send a text instead.

Then he waits. He realizes that Wille might not be on his phone which only makes him worry more because how is he supposed to know if Wille is okay if Wille isn’t answering. To avoid letting the panic in, Simon finally responds to his friends.

The texting with his friends doesn’t do too much to settle his mind. He lets his mind wander. Wille is probably alone in the palace right now. Not necessarily in the physical sense, but emotionally and supportively, Simon knows that he has little support. It’s then that he remembers something. When he’d been in middle school his whole sixth grade class took a field trip to the palace. He remembers it was when he first had his thoughts of “How can one family have so much wealth and influence just for being born,” but he also remembers them saying that the palace was open to the public. He also has Malin’s personal number. A plan slowly starts to form. 

Wille is finally being let out of his mother’s office after hours of yelling and crying. He feels like he’s been stripped raw and then glued back together all wrong. His skin feels tight, his throat hurts from all the yelling, his emotions are all over the place. He knows that, to any outsiders, he probably looks like a zombie. He’s lost all of his motivation. He knew his mom would be upset with him but he didn’t think she would have called him “a disgrace to the family,”. He was pretty proud in the moment that his response to that was “well I actually think it’s pretty disgraceful to allow someone who takes a video of two minors having sex to continue on in our society without consequences,” but now, after all the words have been thrown and the dust has settled to just being Wille walking down a hallway, those words hit him exactly where they were meant to. He doesn’t regret the post. He does, however, feel absolutely wrung dry. It’s because of this that he doesn’t actually notice the figure in his room at first, on his bed no less. His back hits his door and his hands come up to rub at his face. He really would never have expected anyone to be in his room. Which is why he can’t be faulted for what happens next. 

“Took you long enough,” Wille jumps and pulls his hands away from his face and then he freezes. He’s pretty sure he’s started to hallucinate. There’s absolutely no way that Simon is sitting in his room, on his bed, as if he’s always been there. Simon, who lives in Bjӓrstard which is at least two hours away. Simon who shouldn’t even be wanting to speak to him right now. Simon who has always been too good to be true. He’s actually fallen asleep and this is all just one long horrible dream and he’s going to wake up back at Hillerska with Simon at his side. He’s sure of it. Almost 98% sure. Then Simon speaks again.

“Well?” That one word is enough for Wille to be sure that Simon is here. Simon is here. Simon is here. How is Simon here? He is going to blame the last 24 hours on what he says next

“What are you doing here? How did you get in?” Simon’s face is one of amusement, although Wille knows hidden behind that wall there is also concern. 

“What am I doing here? That’s what you have to say to me? Not ‘Simon, I love you. I can’t believe you’re here” Simon continues to say more but Wille can’t hold back anymore. In three long strides he’s across the room pulling Simon into him and bringing their lips together. He feels Simon gasp in surprise before he brings his arms up to cross behind his head. Wille pours all the possible love in his body into the kiss. He feels like he’s been struck by lightning while also finally coming up for air after slowly drowning. Their hands roam each other, re-familiarizing themselves with the other's body. Simon's hands never stay in one place and Wille's re-find their home on Simon's waist. He pulls away eventually, though briefly, to utter a few important words.

“Simon, I love you. I can’t believe you’re here” 

“Oh” Simon gasps before he’s being pulled in again and they’re lost in each other. Their phones may be blowing up with notifications and Wille may have permanently damaged his relationship with his mother, but right now in Simon’s arms, he’s never felt more real in his entire life.

Alyss/Intention of the abyss (Pandora Hearts): when I was first reading oh I was a lonely and pretty isolated high schooler who was pretty depressed most of the time so seeing someone who was literally isolated from everyone and spent their time alone to the point of making her own company . . . Yeah that struck a cord with me plus her design is really pretty and I love her outfit it's a shame detachable sleeves and exposed shoulder area is such an overdone design now because I really like it and I still wish I could cosplay as her lmao (btw her ending made me sad lowkey she deserves better)

Sayaka Miki (Puella Magi Madoka Magica): gosh I was so obsessed with pmmm back in high school its themes about love and despair determination and willpower was so powerful to depressed me plus the concept of witches and transforming into something else and unleashing your despair onto the world was something that resonated with me at a time when I was at my angriest and lonelinest and most hurt and no one encapuated that better than sayaka of course I didn't have a crush on a guy but I did struggle to keep friends so close enough right? Either way that's all behind me now but I'm still fond of sayaka as she struggles to cling to her ideals in a world trying to prove her wrong and trying to support her friends when she herself starts to spiral in depression yeah . . . pmmm is so good . . .

England (hetalia): a tsundere character who's whimsical and lowkey petty? Sign me up! 😍 (tbh I've forgotten most of hetalia oops~) he tries to act so dignified but he's anything but and it's funny even better is that he's got that punk aesthetic going on and hhhhh I love punk wkdjskkd (also a character with bushy eyebrows at a time when people made fun of mine??? Yes!!! He made me feel better about my eyebrows just by existing I love him)

Yusaku tbh and no one is surprised 😂 we're both introverted traumatized beans who's just floating through life and are sassy and blunt, eager to get straight to the point and get things over with jwjfjdjd we also tend to jump headfirst into situations with little plan beforehand because you can't plan or account for everything so it's better to take it as it comes and find out later wkfkdkd

Also can't forget the emotional constipation and a stoicism that masks an anger at the world (also we tend to be huge apologists to those we're fond of and are willing to let people go so long as they're well but also hold people close)
