Watching Defenders for the first time, are you planning on having Jane interact with Luke, Jessica and Danny? I feel like Jane would get along with them, especially Luke.

I AM! I just confirmed it on my outline, Jessica and Luke both have scheduled interactions! Jess is our next scheduled cameo and it's going to be gd hilarious. She's my Beloved TM when it comes to femme Marvel characters, so I'm kicking my feet and giggling over their first on page interaction, and the topic they're going to be interacting over will be a running joke going forward (one I've already set up previously, we'll get there). Their dynamic will be delightful.

And we'll also be getting Luke because I FUCKING LOVE HIM TOO, HE'S WONDERFUL??? HE NEEDS MORE LOVE, I LOVE HIM, THE SINGULAR BRAINCELL HOLDER OF THE DEFENDERS, LUKE MY DARLING. Also he really would get along with Jane, I think. They're both (usually) the more level-headed one amongst their more chaotic partners and/or allies and friends, there's a certain reluctance to get involved with 'the hero gig' (though obvs for different reasons), and it just feels like they're really mesh well as friends and allies even if they're on different sections of the alignment chart. So we'll get some interactions with him, too, before Defenders, and then during S3... well, you'll see. Either way, he's going to be around on and off, too.

Danny doesn't have a huge reason to interact with Jane with the timeline, although I've been tempted to drop Colleen in there at the very least. We'll see! But yeah, I can confirm Jess (next cameo after our current cameo) and Luke will both get pop up appearances!

i first listened to mistake on a plate while driving alone for two hours in the middle of the night through the desolate nothingness that is west texas (and feeling paranoid because i kept smelling oil, which like, yeah dude, it’s west texas) and so when i relistened to it i was like it cannot be as good as i remember i just had to be in a weird headspace but no it really is that good top tier off book ep i think it rewired my brain chemistry

Sami has one surprising pick but the rest are either personalized songs that really sound like her venting (to who i wonder lol) or are love songs.

Samuel kind of has a wide range of songs. I kept them all English but bare in mind a lot of the songs he does listen to are also Spanish-Speaking artists. Both original and covers of songs in other languages are his typical car jams- but being that he grew up with a little bit of "old head" taste he'll occasionally put on something like that too. Maybe a song he learns from his mates at the docks too. He skips that when he's in the car though.

Neriah wished she listened to music more. She has a few songs with a bit of African flare to them, but given she's never been to an African country (YET... She wants to take a vacation there some day!!!) she doesn't have many influences. It's mostly love or cute songs she likes.

Yvory... doesn't listen to much music. Whatever she listens to, she replays in her head. It's usually very loud screaming sounds. Probably metal. Someone in the basement downstairs is usually playing something and she'll creep down to lend an ear, but she doesn't speak or even reveal herself if she can. It's nice.

throughout his young life, jesse had worked on multiple farms across the country, cash in hand for manual labour and a bed to sleep in after a long day of helping tend to the crops and animals. it was a decent life, one that he felt satisfied with and was in no rush to improve upon. his constant moving about meant that he rarely had time to make any sort of meaningful relationships, the closest he got to people were those who hired him and even then, he usually only stuck around for a couple months to get them through a season before he left in search of new work. his latest job had found him of a farm as typical as the rest, the only thing unique about it was the farmer's daughter, easily the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen but completely off limits. he might not have been allowed to touch her but there was no rules against touching himself and after daydreaming all day about her thighs in the little dress he'd seen her wearing at breakfast, he'd retreated back to his room in the evening for a little alone time. it wasn't until he had removed his hand off himself, his shirt newly stained and jeans still unbuttoned and shoved down his hips, that he heard his door creak and he turned to see said door nudged open, the eyes of the farmer's daughter there meeting his own.

Aiden wrapped his arms around Jess's waist and pulled her close to his chest, leaning down to brush his lips against her neck. "Not that I don't mind waking up with you here," they mumbled against her skin, "But you know we can find somewhere to meet more in the middle, don't mind burning some cash to get us a hotel or something." myrithen,  as  far  as  zane's  standards  go,  has  been  incredibly  weird  and  full  of  surprises.  there  has  yet  to  be  a  shortage  of  interesting  faces  no  matter  where  he  goes,  which  he  assumes  to  be  a  good  thing.  even  if  there  was  a  few  …  challenges  along  the  way,  zane  was  someone  who  was  good  at  adapting.  he  was  excellent  at  it,  actually.  and  that  is  what  originally  led  him  to  the  bar  —  his  adaptability;  a  chance  to  adapt  to  the  chillier  weather  of  myrithen.  after  all,  alcohol  always  warmed  him  up.  and  just  like  all  the  other  times  he  had  frequented  this  bar,  he  wasn't  alone.  colourful  personalities  filled  the  tavern,  all  catching  his  watchful  eyes,  ears  picking  up  on  every  little  conversation. 

sniff  …  sniffle  …  was  someone  crying?

zane's  attention  quickly  turned  towards  the  sound,  surprised  at  just  how  close  the  crying  sounded  to  him.  it  wasn't  hard  to  find  the  culprit;  an  elf  —  maybe?  was  that  what  they  called  the  pointy-eared  population  of  myrithen?  he  was  still  getting  used  to  the  terminology.  but  whatever  he  was,  he  was  crying  rather  quietly,  nursing  whatever  drink  he  had  in  front  of  him,  his  face  full  of  sadness  …  almost  like  a  sad  puppy.  and  naturally  —  being  the  caring  person  that  he  was,  zane  sighed;  his  own  face  forming  into  a  frown,  somehow  being  affected  by  the  stranger's  emotions,  patting  his  shoulder  in  reassurance. 

“  hey,  stranger!  what  is  the  matter  with  you?  why  are  you  crying  and  looking  as  if  someone  just  stole  all  your  hopes  and  dreams?  ”  he  asked,  a  little  chuckle  following  his  words,  though  it  didn't  seem  to  make  the  stranger  laugh.  hmm  …  he  could  try  another  move.  but  ..  why  was  he  also  feeling  so  sad  at  the  moment??  he  didn't  remember  ever  being  this  empathetic.  “  you  okay?  did  you  just  get  broken  up  with,  or  something?  sir  —  a  round  over  here  for  us,  please!  ”

goodmorn and happy friday from me and the girl <3 going to be working on her verse posts this weekend as well as replying to some drafts. it's supposed to be nice out here so hopefully it gives me some spoons !! jess ofc will be spending her day baking away in my brain until i move her elsewhere . come send me things or plot w me :D
