Pharaoh Cicada | Cicadas | Locusts #shorts #cicada #locust #cutecritters #bytesizeambs #truebug
I've been so excited about posting this YouTube short. The Pharaoh Cicadas (17 Year Locusts) are out! It is so amazing to watch them molt and just be.
NOTE: Video quality is better when watched via YouTube. Info on Pharaoh Cicadas in the description of this YouTube short.
EDIT: Since YouTube has decided to keep deleting the description on this one video, I'm posting it below.
We were fortunate enough to see several Pharaoh Cicadas (17 Year Locusts) molting last week. It was amazing to see and I was able to get one on video for this short.
Pharaoh Cicada (Magicicada septendecim)
The majority of the life of Magicicada septendecim is spent in an underground or subterranean habitat. The area in which a periodical cicada brood is located must contain a large population of deciduous trees, on whose roots the cicadas feed during the underground nymph stages. The trees are also necesary for the molt into adulthood, choruses, and egg-laying (Boyer 1996). (iNaturalist)
Habitat Regions: temperate ; terrestrial
Terrestrial Biomes: forest
Other Habitat Features: suburban
Cicadas can provide several environmental benefits, including:
Food source for predators: Cicadas are a valuable food source for birds, reptiles, insects, and mammals
Soil improvement: Cicada tunnels aerate the soil, and their decomposition adds nutrients to the soil
Tree pruning: Cicadas prune mature trees, which can lead to increased flowering and fruit production in the following year
Water filtration: Cicadas improve water filtration into the ground

I'm going to sound rude for a second but I'm already sick of the 'don't spray the cicadas with pesticide/leave them alone/yes this may be inconvenient but it happens once every 17 years etc' being met with 'not me! Fuck those things! If one even touches me I'm gutting it/spraying it with pesticides etc! I'll get a panic attack!'
Like if you'll legitimately have a panic attack from a cicada during the brood hatch, stay inside. I'm sorry and it really sucks that you have phobia levels for this creature, but you having a phobia does not mean you should wish harm on an animal that is just....... Doing... It's life.... Cycle?
Sorry. Make movements and decisions that keep you safe and protected that don't involve invoking actively fucking with a beautiful and awesome ecological event. It's not the cicadas fault.
Like legitimately I'm sorry you have this level of fear for cicadas. That sucks and I feel for you. I used to have sometbing similar with locusts and it's not a good feeling. But, uh, the bug isn't being malicious to you personally, I promise, and just wishing harm on an innocent animal is.... Man that sucks

A jury took less than 15 minutes to convict a man who will now spend the rest of his life in prison for robbing a Dollar General store in Georgia.
Jerico Bernard Williams, 24, was convicted on one count of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault, one count of false imprisonment, and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony in relation to the robbery.
A Spalding County jury sentenced him to life in prison, without possibility of parole, plus 20 years, according to WSBTV 2.
After the robbery , Williams and two others — Tierra Davis, 28, and Demarcus Timmons, 22, all of Atlanta – were arrested. A fourth individual, who was never captured, was with the trio on June 4, 2023 — the date of the Dollar General robbing.
According to Spalding County law enforcement, Davis served as the crew's getaway driver, Timmons was assigned to serve as a lookout, and the unknown fourth thief was tasked with forcing the cashier to open the register.
During the trial, the Spalding County District Attorney's Office accused Williams of pointing a gun at a mother and her child in a checkout line and of holding the cashier at gunpoint until the register was empty.
No shots were fired during the failed heist.
A witness saw the suspects enter and flee the store, and called 911 to report the car's make and model to police. Law enforcement said her testimony was key to catching the robbers.
Two of the robbers were caught after a chase with Locust Grove police officers. Police caught up the with third, but never managed to find the final robber.
Spalding County District Attorney Marie Broder issued a statement after the ruling.
“We will not tolerate violent crime against innocent citizens in Spalding County or the Griffin Judicial Circuit,” she said.
Williams had a lengthy criminal history before the Dollar General robbery. He had previously been convicted of hijacking, two counts of armed robbery, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in Fulton County, all stemming from the same incident in October 2018. He was sentenced to serve seven years in prison and six years of probation after his release. He was 17 at the start of his first prison stint.
Davis was charged with armed robbery and driving on a suspended license. Timmons was charged with armed robbery, false imprisonment, and kidnapping. Both are awaiting the start of their trials.
Spalding County Sheriff Darrell Dix called the heist "stupid" after the initial arrests, suggesting that Williams and his alleged accomplices were lucky the locals did not shoot them.
“Around here there are a lot of people that are armed if they need to go out at that time of night. I don’t know how these guys do it in Atlanta, but robbing a store around here with customers inside at that time of night is a stupid thing for someone to try," Dix said. "The suspects are lucky that they had the opportunity to be captured and not the opportunity to be autopsied."
The fourth suspect involved in the robbery has remained at large for more than a year.

Name: N/A
Race: Sigmaloid
HT: Ranges from 5’7” at smallest to 6’6” on average
WT: Ranges from 126LBS to 200LBS
Cock: Medium to large 14.50” full length with 13” insertable, smooth with humps
Description: The Sigmalites of Cylust 9 are an insectoid humanoid species in the outer rings of the Milky way, they’re Homeworld is actually made of two planetoids circling one star similar to our Sun, but with the planets having a cyclical orbit they’re weather remains consistent throughout the planets surface see Roche limit theory. The species isn’t able to master human languages but sign language and pantomiming has proven successful in intergalactic communication efforts! A surprising spry and light weight species they have very similar human builds in body, with exoskeletons and internal anatomy like our own insects. The primary species seems to be a cross between a praying mantis, grasshopper and other variations of locust like insects from Earth. A highly scientific advanced species they have mastered lightspeed travel and enjoy Earth’s more humid and temperate climates to visit. They do not function in cold weather, as it will make them hibernate. Similar to cicadas they lay their eggs underground on their planet and will not see the new generation of brood for at least 17 Earth years. Once they burst out of their brood horde underground they are full sexual maturity and return to their families. Ranging from large cities to smaller communities that seem to be for elders ready to retire, they do not seem to stop engaging in sexual activity with age, leaving for a large and robust population. Human and Sigmaloid interactions have proven peaceful, beneficial and exciting. They’re hour arms leave no skin or hole unexplored and with such light bodies they are gentle lovers when with much squisher Humans. They’re textured cocks seem to be withdrawn into a cloaca like sheath with upon arousal extend to desired length, it seems sizes can vary depending on receiving partner’s capability. This unique ability seems to leave no one unsatisfied and there are even full inter-species relationships established on both Earth and their home world of Cylust 9. Further studying is required on this researcher's part.

September
September is here and I know this post is late, but I had to take a slight social media detox! I swear once September hits I am all Fall, y’all!! I’m about all things apple, pumpkin, fall leaves, sunflowers, soup, etc! Did you know that apples (and apple trees) are associated with love, health, divination, rebirth and renewal, life, learning, and so many other things? The original bobbing for apples game was a form of slight divination, even! It was said that marriage would come to the first person to bite into the apple while bobbing. Also, if you cut into an apple, you’ll find a pentacle type star!
Correspondences of September are sapphire and sardonyx for crystals, the bear and owl for animals, flowers are morning glory and aster, and the zodiac sign is Virgo.
Let’s talk about some days in September:
Not only is Labor Day the 2nd, but also the Celtic Tree Month of Vine begins…happiness and wrath are both symbolized with the vine, garden magic, magic for joy and happiness but also wrath, rage, anger.
Magical influences for this are empowerment, inner growth, introspection, and prophecy.
Sept 4th is bring your manners to work day (I liked this one, cause I’m constantly reminding myself to have manners in moments where people are pissing me off lol.)
Sept 7th national salami day and world beard day (I liked these two because we used to call our younger sister “salami” to piss her off when we were all younger and we still sort of joke about it to this day… and my boyfriend has a beard that I just love. I love feeling it, smelling it, looking at it…lol!)
Sept 8th grandparents day
9/11… a tragic day that affected so many lives in one way or another! On this day remember all those who lost their lives due to this tragic event and the war it caused!
Friday the 13th
FULL MOON in Pisces on Sept 17, Harvest moon aka the nut moon, barley moon, or wine moon (love that!), the color for this full moon is brown and crystals are carnelian, cat’s eye, iolite, lapis lazuli, peridot, sapphire, blue spinel, blue tourmaline, and zircon
Magickal influences from this moon are confidence, the home, manifestation, protection.
This is a Moon of wisdom, take this time to reflect back on lessons learned this past year, darker days are coming which is good for shadow work.
September 18th NATIONAL CHEESEBURGER DAYYYY
September 21st International Day of Peace
Sept 22 is Mabon, also known as the autumn (or Fall) equinox – this is a time where night and day or light and dark are balanced. This is a sort of mid-harvest festival, we are celebrating the second of 3 harvest festivals. I’ve read that there is a slight connection to Mabon for how Oktoberfest was created, by the Bavarians. They start celebrating this in the last week of September.
Celebrate Mabon and give thanks to the Earth for abundant crops, practice gratitude, give blessings, share with the less fortunate. When canning, infuse your recipes with magickal influences and charm your jars.
Mabon is also one of those “liminal times” or an in-between time. These are powerful times for spell-work, rituals, and magick in general.
Colors for Mabon are blue, brown, gold, maroon, orange, violet, and yellow
Plants, herbs, etc: aster, marigolds, sage, ivy, grape, fern, blackberry/bramble, chrysanthemum, grains, thistle, and trees are cedar, hazel, aspen, maple, oak, myrtle, and locust
gems: amethyst, topaz
animals: hawk, swans, swallows, geese, dogs, wolves
Element: water
Magickal influences: accomplishment, agriculture, balance, goals, gratitude, grounding
Deities are: Epona, Inanna, Ishtar, Kore, Modron (Celtic Great Earth Mother Goddess), the Morrigan, Persephone, Bacchus, Dionysus, Dumuzi, the Green Man, Hermes, Thoth, Mabon (translates to the divine son) is the son of Modron and he is associated with the element of water, grapes, ivy, dogs, horses, salmon and his magical influences are hunting, darkness, death, freedom, harmony, innocence, justice, the otherworld or underworld, quests, contacting spirits, strength, truth, and youth.
Ways you can celebrate Mabon:
Make a simmer pot with apples, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg, vanilla, star anise, orange slices.
Host a harvest dinner and include apples, squash, corn, grains, root vegetables like carrots potatoes and onions, grapes and wine, nuts, pomegranates, mead, spiced teas.
Make a hearty stew with fresh baked bread, apple pie, mashed squash, mulled wine
Make a cornucopia, go to a pumpkin patch and farmer’s market, go for a fall nature walk, donate food, focus on balance in your life, write a gratitude list, decorate your altar for Mabon with apples, candles that are brown, orange, and gold, marigold and sunflowers, leaves, acorns, grape vines, a deity statue. Celebrate by giving thanks for the abundance and good in your life, and meditate on the things on the things from this past year you'd like to let go of!
Sept 30th Celtic tree month of Ivy begins which symbolizes life, death, and rebirth, spell work during this time would be great for self-work, healing, banishing toxicity, protection, binding spells
Magical influences during this time: decisions and introspection, growth, learning, developing skills.
September in general is a good time to work on magick and intentions for the home.
I feel like 2 of the biggest intentions you can work on in September however, are balance and change, so I’m going to share a spell for this month that I created!
Things you’re going to need: leaves, something to write with, sage, basil, apple, orange candle, oil, sunflowers.
Dress your orange (for balance and change) candle with oil of your choosing and sage for a clear mind, basil for opening yourself to receive messages, and sunflowers for overcoming obstacles.
Core your apple (for peace, rebirth and renewal, self-work) and place your candle inside. You’re basically using this apple as your candle holder!
Light your candle and meditate on the areas in your life that need balance and/or change. When you are done, write your setbacks and obstacles that you want to overcome (to make these changes and bring this balance) onto the leaves. Hold the leaves into your hands and let the wind take them away!

Gears of War | Midwinter (4 of 6)
Previous section here.
Two beams of light illuminated the arched passageway ahead: one steady, directed unwaveringly forward, the other wildly strobing the walls, the floor, every interesting-looking crevice they passed along the way.  Marcus glanced back at Scylla as both her head and flashlight turned on a swivel.
“Are you trying to start a rave?”
“You said these passageways run under the entire estate?”
“Pretty much,” he rumbled, side-stepping so that she could walk more nearly side-by-side with him along the narrow pass.  It wasn’t easy, given his dominating width.  “Anya’s family had them dug out and reinforced at the start of the Pendulum Wars.  Secret passage, in case they the UIR started shelling the place, I guess.  Gotta get that fucked-up horse painting to safety somehow.”
Scylla hesitated by a few paces, then hurried to catch up with him again.
“Uh.  Is it… safe?”
“I don’t put much faith in a bunch of gopher holes dug by probably underpaid domestic servants, particularly not after the Locust spent 17 years destabilizing everything.”  He looked at her lightly as she squeezed in beside him. “Baird went on some structural engineering tangent, once, but I tuned him out about halfway through.  I only use them when I have to.”
“That’s something else I’ve been meaning to ask you,” she said, steadying her flashlight beam alongside his. “Are he and Sam, like…”
“Married?”
“Yeah.  He said no, very emphatically, but--”
“They’re married,” he dismissed, sounding annoyed by the entire, ridiculous facade.  “I know ‘cause I was there when it happened.  We let them use the property for the whole thing.  Man did he ever get fucking drunk.”
She shook her head. “So then why--”
“It’s not official.  No paper records.  And if you ever ask either of them, they’ll deny it left and right.”  Marcus made a vague gesture with one hand, as if it was yet another convoluted concept he didn’t have the patience to untangle.  “I don’t remember the finer details, but Baird comes from money.  Not Stroud money, but he was the last man standing after E-Day, so it all funneled down to him.  It’s all also tied up in a bunch of trusts with a lot of language that’s very specific about who Damon can and can’t marry, at the risk of losing access to all that money.  To put it nicely, Sam’s not from an approved family. Not by a long shot.  Baird’s final ‘fuck you’ to his parents was to marry her anyway, but on his own terms.  He gets to keep the family money, and do whatever the hell he feels like with it.”
Scylla let out a long breath, head shaking. “Holy shit, you guys are complicated.”
Another grunt. “It gets better.  You were asking about my hand?”
She double-timed her steps to catch up with him again, though an iron-banded wooden door finally appeared ahead of them in the dark.
“Yes, please.”
“Alright. I’ll get to that as soon as we get the power back on.”
What a fucking tease.
He led the way through the door, after a little difficulty unwedging it from the damp-swollen jamb, and painted the darkness with the broad beam of his flashlight.  Scylla stopped immediately, freezing up just inside the door, even with her light to guide her.
This room was the stuff of nightmares.  The ceiling was low, with deep rafters festooned by cobwebs velveted with dust.  The ancient circuit breaker stood directly ahead, its old, disused knob-and-tube backbone still in situ, though it was now paired alongside a more modern circuit box.  She chased the rest of the deep, blackened room with light, revealing a sleeping behemoth of rusted, intestinal iron pipes and the menace of snarling furnaces.  The depth and scale of it stood like a vast nest of sleeping leviathans.
Marcus coughed against a fist as he reached the circuit breaker, and looked back at her curiously.  Her eyes were open, darting the room, timid and withdrawn in a way he’d never seen before.
“Scylla.”
“Huh?”  She didn’t look at him, eyes mobile but unable to leave the unplumbed, sepulchral darkness.  Her breath came a little faster, plumed bursts of frost.
It would have been easy to chide her for being afraid.  He’d been down here enough to know how utterly mundane it all was, the ancient furnace-works more like to instill inconvenience than terror, but of course she didn’t know that.  Logically, sure, but fear wasn’t always logical.  She’d already endured a childhood of facing down her own nightmares, her own monsters in the dark, without even a soft word or a reassuring check under the bed from someone she trusted.
It cost him nothing to be gentle.  He’d waged wars for the opportunity to be gentle.
“Hey.”
He extended an arm, fingers coaxing in toward his palm.  She saw the motion in the corner of her eye, regarded the distance between them, then closed it in a quick scuffle of steps.  Marcus caught her hand and pulled her around him, placing her safely between his broad bulk and the circuit breaker.
“It’s creepy down here,” she murmured, finally feeling more foolish than afraid.  He idled out a cat’s purr sound of acknowledgement.
“We’ll make this quick.  You got the radio?”
Continued here.

and a plague of locusts too. lol D came back from her mother’s yesterday saying her mom was in a state of fear because the End Times, as foretold in Revelation, is upon us.
What a shame; in her eighties, she’s lived her life in fear of the end just like countless generations before her. Now when she should feel confident her faith will see her through at the end, instead she spends her days in dread. Instead of comfort, mostly her religion has brought her fear.

Quote
Homosexuality was both silenced and taboo. Most historians agree that the concept of homosexuality is modern because the idea of sexual identity was not fully established until the nineteenth century. Jo Stanley has suggested that many women who fell in love with women could not identify or understand their feelings. Historians of transvestism Ruldolf Dekker and Lotte van de Pol have argued that 'it is logical that these women would think: if I covet a woman, I must be a man'. Lesbians may have thought that cross-dressing and acting like men allowed them to love women during a time in which Europeans could not conceive of the idea of lesbianism.
Rebecca Alexandra Simon, Pirate Queens: The Lives of Anne Bonny & Mary Read, p81-82
This is the sort of absolute bullshit I’m talking about when I talk about the myth that sexual orientation and sexual identity didn’t exist until the nineteenth century. To be clear when I talk about this I’m not trying to downplay the pathologization of homosexuality that happened throughout the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and the effects that had on queer people. I’m simply talking about this myth that pre-nineteenth century people had no understanding of their own sexual desires and no sexual identity.
First of all it is just blatantly untrue to suggest that 18th century Europeans “could not conceive of the idea of lesbianism”.
I often see the fact that sex between women was legal in England used as evidence that 18th century Europeans didn’t know that sex between women was possible. But people seem to be forgetting that England is not the entirety of Europe.
There are cases of women being executed for having sex with women across Europe, they would be drowned or even burned alive. (see Louis Crompton, The Myth of Lesbian Impunity Capital Laws from 1270 to 1791)
Often the wording of sodomy laws were vague but could be interpreted as covering sex between women. Often supplementary documents would clarify for example a 1780’s French legal book defines sodomy as:
the crime of any man with a man, of any woman with a woman; even of a man with a woman, when, by unimaginable debauchery, they do not use the ordinary path of procreation.
(Michael David Sibalis, The Regulation of Male Homosexuality in Revolutionary and Napoleonic France, 1789-1815, p81)
However some laws explicitly criminalised sex between women. For example the Constitutions of the Holy Roman Emporer Charles V, 1532, states:
if anyone commits impurity with a beast, or a man with a man, or a woman with a woman, they have forfeited their lives and shall, after the common custom, be sentenced to death by burning.
And the 1574 statutes of the Italian town Treviso were very clear:
If any person (leaving the natural use) has sexual relations with another, that is, a man with a man if they are fourteen years old or more, or a woman with a woman if they are twelve or more, by committing the vice of sodomy-popularly known as “buzerones” or “fregatores”-and this has been revealed to the city magistrates, the detected person, if a male, must be stripped of all his clothes and fastened to a stake in the Street of the Locusts with a nail or rivet driven through his male member, and shall remain there all day and all night under a reliable guard, and the following day be burned outside the city. If, however, a woman commits this vice or sin against nature, she shall [also] be fastened naked to a stake in the Street of the Locusts and shall remain there all day and night under a reliable guard, and the following day shall be burned outside the city.
(Crompton, p18)
But even if we are just talking about England there are references to lesbianism in 18th century England. In fact the earliest known usage of the word lesbian (in the sense of a woman who is sexually or romantically attracted to other women) is from The Toast by William King published in 1732:
this little Woman gave Myra more Pleasure than all the rest of her Lovers and Mistresses. She was therefore dignified with the Title of Chief of the Tribades or Lesbians.
Hester Thrale Piozzi described the Ladies of Llangollen as “damned Sapphists” (Emma Donoghue, Passions Between Women, p168) and suspected Anne Damer of “liking her own Sex in a criminal Way”. (Diary of Hester Thrale Piozzi, 17 June 1790) Damer was also satirised as a lesbian in the 1778 poem A Sapphick Epistle and the 1794 pamphlet The Whig Club.
There were many references to the ancient Greek poet Sappho who was often credited with inventing the concept of sex between women. A Sapphick Epistle describes Sappho as “the first Tommy the world has upon record; but to do her justice, though there hath been many Tommies since, yet we never had but one Sappho.”
“Tommy” being another word for a women who were sexually interested in women. We see this word used in the 1773 poem The Adulteress:
Women and Men, in these unnat’ral Times,
Are guilty equal of unnat’ral crimes:
Woman with Woman act the Manly Part,
And kiss and press each other to the heart.
Unnat’ral Crimes like these my Satire vex;
I know a thousand Tommies ‘mongst the Sex:
Sappho was also invoked in the 1749 pamphlet Satan’s Harvest Home:
Sappho, as she was one of the wittiest Women that ever the World bred, so she though with Reason, it would be expected she should make some Additions to a Science in which Womankind had been so successful: What dose she do then? Not content with our Sex, begins Amours with her own, and teaches the Female World a new Sort of Sin, call’d the Flats, that was follow’d not only in Lucian’s Time, but is practis’d frequently in Turkey, as well as at Twickenham at this day.
“Flats” refers to the “game of flats” or “game at flats” which was an 18th century euphemism for tribadism and is referenced again in Satan’s Harvest Home:
I am credibly informed, in order to render the Scheme of Iniquity still more extensive amongst us, a new and most abominable Vice has got footing among the W—n of Q—–y, by some call’d the Game at Flats;
So while its true that sex between women wasn’t illegal in England this wasn’t because the entire country was ignorant to the possibility.
The myth that there was no sense of identity associated with sexual attraction is easily disproven by the molly subculture. In 18th century London there was a community of men who had sex with men, who identified as mollies. Mollies would meet in molly houses, they had their own traditions, slang, songs and even had sobriquets known as maiden names that identified them as part of the group. (see Mother Clap's Molly House by Rictor Norton)
There is also evidence of 18th century men understanding their attraction to other men as something innate and natural to them. For example Gerrit van Amerongen stated at his 1776 sodomy trial that men who had sex with men were “born with it and they can be as amorous to each other as man and wife can be.” (Anna Clark, The Chevalier d’Eon, Rousseau, and New Ideas of Gender, Sex and the Self in the Late Eighteenth Century)
Lillian Faderman suggests that women were less likely to recognise their sexual attraction to each other because they would have “internalized the view of females as having little sexual passion” and as they bore “no burden of visible proof as men do, they might deny it even to themselves”. (Surpassing the Love of Men, p16) However Chris White rather succinctly dismisses Faderman’s argument: “it seems hardly credible that simply because women did not have penile erections they would not have recognized how sexual arousal felt and what it meant”. (Emma Donoghue, Passions Between Women, p122)
Taking all of this into consideration it seems somewhat absurd to claim that “women who fell in love with women could not identify or understand their feelings”.
And this is not even getting into the “if I covet a woman, I must be a man” statement which is a whole other can of worms to unpack.

RECLAMATION OF DESTINY
"The vats will overflow with the new wine and oil. Then I will make up to you for the years that the swarming locust has eaten." - Joel 2:24,25
Many are trapped in a great pit — the pit of despair, of sin, of compromise, of failure and hopelessness. The Great Shepherd extends His hand to pull OUT desperate souls, giving them a second chance and making all things NEW!
God desires to restore all that the locust has eaten in your life! He will give you double for your trouble and turn your scars into stars reversing the curse.
Do not lose hope and accept your desperate situation, but rather:
speak to your pit, to your circumstances, and say, 'I AM COMING OUT!'
Satan has tried to manipulate and deceive, convincing many that there is no way out of the pit, and when they believe his words, they become apathetic and lose hope. But his words are lies, because you are coming up and out!  Let’s focus on the anointing God has given us to stand against the schemes of the wicked one!  Let’s reintegrate divine authority into our prayers and spiritual warfare, taking up the “full armor of God” (Ephesians 6:11).
TAKE THE HAND OF JESUS
You MUST invest and be a good steward of this time, in order to be prepared for what is coming in the near future.  Do not say, "I have another year to get it together," or  "I will worry about that later."  NOW is the time!  You have a choice—will you remain in your pit, or will you take the hand of the Great Shepherd who desires to pull you out and once again set your feet on solid rock?
So take the Lord's hand, and let Him pull you out and give you a second chance! --  He is calling you! --  Come out and be separate!  “Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.” – Ephesians 5:17.  Do not dabble in the world.  Do not flirt with compromise and sin, for satan knows his time is short, and that what he does he must do quickly. Be not ignorant of his evil plans toward you – we discern the enemy, move in Christ’s authority and learn perseverance in the fight of faith.
He has a table prepared just for you—a place already set, and He is inviting you to come and fellowship with Him again at His table.
He is calling you home right now. Do not feel shame, guilt, or fear, but COME as you are and He will lovingly restore you . DO NOT WAIT ANY LONGER!  He has already prepared a feast for you, as well as a new set of royal robes, and right now He gives you a rod of authority. He will restore you, and you will reclaim all!
"But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him." Luke 15:20
DEDICATED TO THE DEEPER THINGS OF GOD
We stand at a crossroads. There will be a great and terrible divide between those who are hungry for God and those who are spiritually content in their apathy.
"But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut." Matthew 25:10
There will be a great divide between the "wise virgins" of Matthew 25 and the "foolish ones."  And while the apathetic spirit of Laodicea (see Revelation 3:14-22) will increase there is a growing remnant who seeks God's heart, and refuses to compromise or accept anything less than a revelation of His PURPOSE for their life and His manifest presence which produces a hunger to aid in establishing the King in His Kingdom (Hebrews 1:14).
Desperate ones will come out of the pit of Laodicea (Revelation 3:16-17) --  fully abandoning themselves to walk in their Christ calling.  They are not left empty-handed, for God will fill their treasures with Himself and they will feast on His presence, becoming mighty warriors equipped with everything they need for advancing His Kingdom and bearing fruit that remains.  Let Your Kingdom come, Oh Lord!
The Lord is saying, "Mighty Warrior, come out of that pit!"
"He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand." Psalm 40:2

Ok but I love you Cicada!Tang Au!! It’s such a cool concept and I thought I should just give you some cool facts about about Cicadas you might not know. If you do know these I’m sorry. -Cicadas are not a type of Locust, in fact they are a type of Short-horned grasshopper. They are considered “true bugs” for this reason. -Cicadas have the longest lifespan of any bug, living from 13-17 years. -Cicadas have Mercury in them!! It’s a very small amount though. -There are over 3000 species of Cicada. -they can buzz louder then a lawnmower at 80 to 100 decibels, for context 70dB is a church bell -They’re wings are Hydrophobic, meaning they repel water and bacteria. -Cicadas have a predator called the “Cicada Killer”, it is a two inch long wasp that will lay its eggs into cicada’s so their babies can eat them from the inside out. However these wasps are harmless to us humans. -Cicada’s use their long tongue to suck the juices of tree roots, fruit, and vegetables. They like sugar water!! -Cicada’s can make Honeydew!!(it’s technically their pee, b u t still a fun fact) -a Fungus that infects only male Cicada’s can make them gay, the infected male will imitate a females call to attract males to breed with them. 5% of male cicada’s.
and finally, I leave with a question- “Does Tang buzz?? Like does he buzz with his wings, it makes sense. But does he know how to control how loud the buzzing is???” -Eely
Thank you for the love!! It was a concept I’ve been sitting on for a while but had trouble visualizing.
A lot of these facts I, in fact, did not know! Thank you for sharing these! I studied parasitoid wasps in school, but I didn’t realize that the cicada killer was among them! Very cool. The Gay Fungus made me chortle, I’ll be telling people that one lol.
As for your question, I think that Tang can buzz with his wings, like cicadas do, with tymbals. I think whether or not he knows how to control how loud the sound depends on the universe you’re looking at.
In a universe where Tang was always a cicada, I picture him as having complete control over it, even being able to use it in battle to disorient enemies (I think he’d be much, much louder than a typical bug because… big)
In a universe where he was turned into a cicada via weird mystic misadventures, I think he wouldn’t have a lot of control over it at first, and the buzzing would be highly affected by his emotional state.
In either case, Cicada Tang does “purr”, which is just a quieter, deeper buzz that he makes when he’s really happy. He doesn’t notice he’s doing it a lot of the time.
