Morgen (1 december) begint de top 2000 stemweek en als je me volgt weet je waarschijnlijk al wat ik je ga vragen te doen.

Het zou mij echt ontzettend gelukkig maken als we dit jaar K3 in de top 2000 krijgen en specifiek Oya Lélé.

Waarom?

Vind het leuk of niet, K3 is al 25 jaar een groot onderdeel van de Nederlandstalige cultuur. Ik durf te wedden dat bijna iedereen in Nederland wel een paar K3 nummers kent en toch staan ze niet in de top 2000 terwijl een super niche nummer als Tubular Bells, Part One dat 25 en een halve minuut duurt er wel in staat!

K3 viert dit jaar hun 25 jarig bestaan, Oya Lélé is zelf 20 jaar oud dit jaar K3 de top 2000 in stemmen is een goede manier om dit te vieren (en dit wordt ook de 25ste editie van de top 2000)

Eerder dit jaar heb ik op mijn side blog een toernooi gehouden voor het beste K3 nummer. Oya Lélé heeft dit met overmacht gewonnen, wat mij bevestigd in de keuze om campagne te voeren voor Oya Lélé

Oya Lélé heeft in 2003 ook 18 weken in de Nederlandse top 40 gestaan, het langst van alle K3 nummers

Stem K3 als wraak op Spotify omdat ze K3 blijven negeren in de Wrapped lijstjes

Na 4 jaar vechten met mijn lichaamsbeeld, waarbij ik eerst ferm bijkwam en teveel woog, naar 20 kilo dalen door depressie en ineens ondergewicht hebben, ben ik vandaag op een gezond en naar mijn gevoel ideaal gewicht. Na 6 maanden fitness begin ik resultaat te zien van mijn harde werk en ben ik eindelijk (bijna) helemaal tevreden als ik in de spiegel kijk.

Ik durf vaak niks delen over mijn lichaam, omdat iedereen telkens maar benadrukt dat ik niets te klagen heb, maar wat mensen niet zien is dat ik ook al lang struggle met mijn lichaamsbeeld en gezondheid, en dat ik heel hard gewerkt heb om hier te staan vandaag. Ik sport, let op mijn voeding en kijk veel te vaak naar de weegschaal om te controleren dat ik op gewicht blijf. Dat laatste is een blijvend probleem, gecreëerd door het snelle schommelingen in gewicht, en anderen die me zaken zeiden zoals toen ik kilo's verloor door ziek te zijn: 'Je ziet er beter uit, je was wel echt te zwaar hé.'

Ik wou dit delen om aan te tonen dat het niet is omdat je lichaam 'perfect' oké lijkt, daar geen verhaal, geen worsteling of negativiteit achter zit.

Wees mild voor elkaar. De buitenkant is slechts dat.

"When my first child was born, I played piano for her almost daily. A lot of days when she was an infant, I would hold her in one arm while playing piano with the other hand. One day she kind of sang along and made a repetitive noise to what I was playing. I approximated this as best as I could with my right hand in the “verses” of this song, “First Melody” that we wrote together. This album is for her, to have a document of the music from the beginning of her life. Goliath (/ɡəˈlaɪəθ/ gə-LY-əth)[a] is a Philistine warrior in the Book of Samuel. The phrase "David and Goliath" has taken on a more popular meaning denoting an underdog situation, a contest wherein a smaller, weaker opponent faces a much bigger, stronger adversary

Tell es-Safi, the biblical Gath and traditional home of Goliath, has been the subject of extensive excavations by Israel's Bar-Ilan University. The archaeologists have established that this was one of the largest of the Philistine cities until destroyed in the ninth century BC, an event from which it never recovered. The Tell es-Safi inscription, a potsherd discovered at the site, and reliably dated to between the tenth to mid-ninth centuries BC, is inscribed with the two names ʾLWT and WLT. While the names are not directly connected with the biblical Goliath (גלית‎, GLYT), they are etymologically related and demonstrate that the name fits with the context of the late tenth- to early ninth-century BC Philistine culture. The name "Goliath" itself is non-Semitic and has been linked with the Lydian king Alyattes, which also fits the Philistine context of the biblical Goliath story. A similar name, Uliat, is also attested in Carian inscriptions. Aren Maeir, director of the excavation, comments: "Here we have very nice evidence [that] the name Goliath appearing in the Bible in the context of the story of David and Goliath… is not some later literary creation."

Based on the southwest Anatolian onomastic considerations, Roger D. Woodard proposed *Walwatta as a reconstruction of the form ancestral to both Hebrew Goliath and Lydian Alyattes. In this case, the original meaning of Goliath's name would be "Lion-man," thus placing him within the realm of Indo-European warrior-beast mythology.

The Babylonian Talmud explains the name "Goliath, son of Gath" through a reference to his mother's promiscuity, based on the Aramaic גַּת (gat, winepress), as everyone threshed his mother like people do to grapes in a winepress (Sotah, 42b).

Elhanan, son of Jaare-Oregim the Bethlehemite (Hebrew: אֶלְחָנָן בֶּן־יַעְרֵי אֹרְגִים בֵּית הַלַּחְמִי‎ ʾElḥānān ben-Yaʿrē ʾŌrəgīm Bēṯ halLaḥmī) is a character in 2 Samuel 21:19, where he is credited with killing Goliath:

"There was another battle with the Philistines at Gob, and Elhanan son of Jaare-oregim the Bethlehemite killed Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver's beam."[1]

In 1 Chronicles 20:5, he is called Elhanan son of Jair (אֶלְחָנָן בֶּן־יָעִיר‎ ʾElḥānān ben-Yāʿīr), indicating that Jaare-oregim is a garbled corruption of the name Jair and the word for "beam" used in the verse (ʾōrəgīm). The passage in 2 Samuel 21:19 poses difficulties when compared with the story of David and Goliath in 1 Samuel 17, leading scholars to conclude "that the attribution of Goliath's slaying to David may not be original,"  but rather "an elaboration and reworking of" an earlier Elhanan story, "attributing the victory to the better-known David.

Why are you acting like the Netherlands haven't just won

he wants to build more homes, but who's actually going to build those? like, physically, who is going to put those houses together because, guess what! there's no one to do the fucking work. no one works in ANY of these professions anymore, no one WANTS to work in them either. so he would need to get funding to make schooling free for these professions, or create incentives. but where do we get that money? where would you get a billion to make med school (rough term, not really what the term is here) free for only one year? ah, i hear you say, just pull the funding from ukraine and the developing countries. well, 1.) we can't, we're legally obligated to keep paying, and if he somehow does find a way to stop the funding then 2.) we will be hit with fines from both the EU and the NATO, and maybe even the UN. and guess who will pay that, anon? it will be the working class, since he doesn't want to make companies pay more tax, so it will be you and me that pay for this.

and all that isn't even the massive impact he will have on our climate, and don't try the fucking "netherlands is only a small country, it doesn't matter what we do because the us china and russia and india womp womp" because no matter how small the step is, small steps are worth it, too.

We aten allebei ons eigen ding gisterenavond, Mayke een zak garnalen en ik een biefstuk en samen aten we daar worteltjes, tagliatelle en courgette bij. Toe was er dan nog yoghurt met blauwe bessen.

Van de midzomernachtzon was niks te zien om middenacht, de ruimte russen de twee bergen waar de zon zich moest manifesteren, was gevuld met nevel. De hele nacht stond er een harde wind die de tent deed flapperen, maar bij het opstaan is het windstil en worden we omhuld door een wolk, elke beweging die je maakt, brengt je in contact met miljoenen fijne waterdruppeltjes. We ontbeten in de keuken en daarna pakten we de tent nat in.

We verheugen ons enorm op de koffie in Oksfjordhamn, we hebben er dan 20 kilometer opzitten, maar helaas, de winkel daar is voorgoed gesloten. Een nieuwe kans is 26 kilometer verderop in Sørstraumen, daar is weer een winkel. Maar eerst moeten we over een heuvelrug, dat betekent 7 kilometer klimmen naar 420 meter hoogte over de oude E6 die nu als fietspad dienst doet. We doen er een uur over om boven te komen en worden beloond met koude mist en kuddes elanden.

Na de snelle en ijskoude afdaling begint het te regenen en een blik op de weerapp vertelt ons dat dat tot morgenmiddag zo doorgaat.

Met vooruitziende blik hebben we gisteren al een luxe hut geboekt in Storeng op het Arctic Fjord Camp. Met die wetenschap is het fietsen in de inmiddels stromende regen goed te doen.

In Sørstraumen is de Mats Kroken gelukkig open en ze hebben er zelfs een soort snackbar ingebouwd, waar je stukken pizza en worstebroodjes kunt eten (en alles wat er in de winkel te koop is natuurlijk). Daar komen we weer een beetje op verhaal, zodat we de tweede klim van vandaag onder ogen kunnen zien. Die is wat korter, maar veel onrustiger, omdat je tussen de auto’s fietst, we gaan in vier kilometer naar 270 meter. Als we boven zijn, (wat mij meer moeite kostte dan in de ochtend) komt ons een jongen op een vijftig jaar oude Oost-Duitse brommer tegemoet, die eerder net als wij in de Mats Kroken zat op te drogen. Hij is zijn drinkvest kwijt en moet het hele eind weer terug en wil van ons weten of wij dat vest in de Mats Kroken hebben zien hangen. Dat hebben we en hij rijdt opgelucht verder.

Als we daarna omlaag sjezen, slaat de regen recht in je gezicht en wurmt zich tussen je capuchon en je hoofd door naar binnen.

Na de boodschappen in Burfjord haalt de brommerrijder ons met opgestoken duim weer in.

Tegen vier uur komen we aan op de camping en onze hut heeft de allure (en de prijs) van een hotelkamer. We hebben een prachtig uitzicht over de fjord.
