Ardy Lightfoot
The 90s was awash with mascot platformers, most of which soon faded into obscurity. Although it may be easy to ridicule them, there are plenty that did try to do something compelling. One of these is Ardy Lightfoot, a game with surprisingly solid storytelling ambitions though hampered by its somewhat clunky and often difficult gameplay.

Halcyon is on Steam for $2.99!
Tumblr media
As some of y’all know, my partner is an aspiring indie game developer whose first game just released on Steam!! I could not be more proud of them and am so excited to share it.
Halcyon is a short, 2D pixel art side scrolling shooter with super imaginative art, plasma gun shooting, and your own flight bot bestie - P.A.L. - to help you explore Earth hundreds of years after humanity has left the planet behind. Find it for $2.99 on Steam here! More about the game below :)
Tumblr media
The year is 2506. A vestige of humankind, you’ve been sent to Earth on the faint hopes that you will find more than the corpse of a once hospitable planet. Instead, you find a landscape blooming with lush, mutated new life. Can you survive this inhuman Halcyon?
After a year in development, Real Action Labs and Audio Dread have released Halycon as a passion project reflecting their love of Metroidvania.
My partner hopes to release more games under the name Real Action Labs, and has worked closely on Halycon with Audio Dread, an independent programmer and sound designer specializing in horror games.
Halcyon is truly fun, challenging, and comes with a number of difficulty settings for all kinds of players <3
On a personal note, it was such an honor to be privy to this game’s development. My partner works in homelessness services and has poured so much love and free time into this game on the side. That they devote so much of themselves to helping others and still find time for their art astounds me. I got to see Halcyon grow from day one conceptual sketches into what it is today, and personally take credit for the addition of adorable praying mantis enemies!

Gunbrella Preview: Blasting This Mystery Wide Open
I'm thrilled I got an extended hands-on with Gunbrella, but I wish I didn't have to put down.
Developer doinksoft • Publisher Devolver Digital • Release 2023 • Platforms Switch, PC Sometimes I check out a game for a preview and just wish I could play the whole thing right then and there. Gunbrella absolutely falls into this category. Its gameplay is so smooth; it’s like wrapping your hands in silk. The imagery is at odds with the game’s perfectly ramshackle world, but I love an…

Better Than Your 2D Men
Tumblr media
Fandom / Pairing: Attack On Titan / Eren x f!reader
Rating: SFW / Fluff
Genre/Theme: Established relationship; non-titan au
Content warning: fluff, teasing, language, suggestive (?), they make out a little.
Summary: When you crush over your fav anime men, Eren gets jealous cause homeboy wants all the attention to himself.
Author's Note: Hello, here’s a short fluffy one-shot with my fav 2D man cause I wanted to have an ambitious crossover of my fav animes. Thank you for reading <3
~ Eren’s Birdie
Song Dedication: 3D (Alternate Ver.) by Jung Kook
Tumblr media
“Baby… pay attention to me…”
You ignore your boyfriend's pouty voice as he lies across the bed, near your feet – instead, you focus on the laptop screen on your lap.
“How much longerrrr?” You hear him sigh and feel fingers caressing the bottom of your feet.
“You know I'm not ticklish,” you reply plainly, eyes still glued to the screen.
“Hmm, that's why…” you hear him mumble before you feel a set of teeth bite around your right foot toes.
“Eren, ew… what the fuck,” you cringe, pulling your foot away from him as you slide the laptop to your side, abruptly halting the anime you were watching to finally look at him.
Your boyfriend smiles ingeniously, proud of his accomplishment at finally getting your attention redirected towards him.
“So that’s what it takes for you to finally pay attention to what really matters,” he ponders as he crawls up to lie between your legs, tilting his head to rest his face on your right thigh.
“I was focusing on what really matters,” you roll your eyes as you grab your laptop once again to rest it on your other thigh. However, Eren’s quick to move further up till his torso is splayed over you, almost like a lizard trying to cover as much surface area of a wall it possibly can.
“Rennie, please let me finish these episodes, I haven’t had the time to watch them for like… weeks now,” you sigh as you try to move his heavy body to the side.
He doesn't budge but simply wraps his arms around your waist, tucking his hands into the gap between your body and the mattress, resting his cheek on your belly, “Okay, you can continue watching.”
You sigh in defeat as you tilt your laptop screen, pressing play and focusing your attention back on the show despite the awkward position you’re in.
It isn’t another 10 minutes into the episode before you hear your boyfriend speak again, “Sometimes I wonder if the only reason you watch this show is cause the men are attractive. There’s no way a slice-of-life person like you enjoys such violence and death.”
You don’t reply, trying your best to ignore his commentary and focusing on the fight scene.
“Oh my god, I’m right! Who is it? Do you like Gojo? Or Nanami? Or who– what are the names of other hot men in this one?” Eren chuckles in disbelief, looking up to scan your face to see if you give away anything.
“Shh, let me concentrate… it’s an important fight,” you mumble without looking at him and the scene is almost over.
“Yeah right,” he scoffs as he pauses the episode right when Choso enters the frame, “tell me, do you find this guy hot?”
“Eren, are you seriously jealous of a 2D character?” you counter, trying not to laugh at his actions.
“Well, if he’s stealing my precious time with my girl then ye–”
“We’ve literally been in bed the whole day,” you interrupt him.
“And is it so wrong to want to be closer to my girlfriend?” he gasps.
“Yes, you were lying around, scrolling on your phone… doing random shit the whole day but the minute I decided to watch JJK, you suddenly want my attention,” you roll your eyes at him.
“Don’t change the topic– who’s your fav among them?” he dodges your accusations.
A smile creeps up on your lips as you decide to indulge him, “Well, they’re all so hot, it’s hard to choose really. There’s this guy, Choso… and Geto, and Toji! Now that I think about it, all of them are equally attractive.”
“All brunettes,” he notes.
“What?” you ask, confused.
“All the men you just named have dark hair,” he states.
“Yes… so?”
“I’m basically like the real-life version of them – I have long, dark hair, a good physique, handsome face–”
“Okay, Narcissus, chill,” you snort. Eren pulls away from you to move further up till he’s hovering over you, caging your head between his arms.
“No, my point being… if you have all of this right here,” he points at himself as he smirks, “why waste your time on some stupid anime?”
“I can have both,” you grin, pressing your palms over his chest.
“One is clearly better than the other,” he dips his head down for a peck.
“I seriously can’t believe you’re jealous of a bunch of sexy 2D men,” you giggle once again.
“No, I'm not… Can your 2D men do this?” he whispers, tilting your face and burying his face into your neck. He licks your skin before sucking on it roughly, causing goosebumps to rise all over your body.
“Can they?” he asks once again as his hand glides under your t-shirt to cup one of your breasts, playing with the nipple. Eren nibs at the spot behind your ear and you let out a soft moan. “Yes?”
“No,” you huff, closing your eyes at the feeling.
“So, am I not better than your 2D men?” he whispers in your ear before biting your earlobe. His hand abandons your tit, instead travelling down to dip into the waistband of your shorts, pressing two fingers over your mound.
“Y-yes,” you sigh. He laughs at how desperate your voice comes out and you tilt your head to kiss him on the lips to end this awkward conversation.
And Eren, being the good boyfriend that he is, lets you mask your embarrassment into his embrace – delighted at being the centre of your attention once again.

Heya! Welcome to our creepy studio filled with oddities!
Tumblr media
Hi and good mourning, it’s me Aj! I’m also referred to as ShadowAj, Shady and RealShadyGhost. I’m a spooky yet silly ghost who draws and such. Here, you’ll mainly see me post fan art of my favorite series, commissions, and OC content (scroll down for more info on this!), as well as memes probably. Most of the drawings I post here will be 2D digital art, but occasionally I may post 2D traditional. I hope you enjoy your visit here!
(Small content warning, although I won’t post anything NSFW, I may post drawings with blood and/or light gore, body horror, and disturbing imagery, so beware.)
Things I Enjoy!
Tumblr media
Ok so here I’ll just list off some of my interests so you can get to know me better. Ghosts have interests too!

Original Content!
As I said before, I’ll be posting drawings of OCs, mainly from the webcomic series I’m working on titled ‘Shadow Realm’. I do have other original series and ideas as well, so here’s a little info…
Shadow Realm
Tumblr media
Shadow Realm is a 4-part action horror urban fantasy series starring Sophia Alvarado, a Cuban teenage girl who lives in Miami who one day ends up in a different and strange world from our own, and ends up encountering ghosts and gaining powers of electricity. With her occult and coffee-obsessed friend Violet Bellerose and a friendly ghost she meets on the other side dubbed Shady, they encounter different ghosts and supernatural occurrences all across Miami. There’s a lot more to it, but that’s the basic gist of it for now. (It gets very complicated from part 2 onward…)
Kendall Convenience
A small game project that has the player take the role of one Katrina Diaz, a convenience store worker in Miami who works the graveyard shift. This takes place in the same universe as Shadow Realm.
Mystères de Lenoir
Tumblr media
Mysteres de Lenoir is a series that follows the protagonist, Stella Auclair, a fresh detective who takes place in steampunk and gothic France during the Belle Époque era. Stella works with André Dupin, at the Dupin Detective Agency, and they solve a series of mysteries, most of which are murder cases.
I have two other series, but those are a secret for now… I will say though that one of them is a western, and the other is a single volume (One-Shot) comic.
Closing thoughts
Tumblr media
If you read through all that wow good job you’re super cool and spooky methinks perchance.
Oh yeah, you can find me on other platforms like Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Pixiv, and Twitch
Even if you don’t have an account there you should still check them out!!!!
ask me anything you have questions about or if you're bored and want to talk!
another thing, i speak English and i can understand Spanish (I'm hispanic and i still can't speak this language it's embarrassing i know )
(also i may reupload this post in the future to add custom graphics, update interests, etc.)

Little Knight Games says the game’s combat “emphasizes fluidity and experimentation, and allows you to switch between weapons and elemental modes on the fly.” The Germany-based studio says it’s a team of seven people from different countries around the world and that Mira and the Legend of the Djinns is a love letter to Metroidvanias, “featuring a world based on the Moroccan and Amazigh mythology.”
“Morocco has a rich culture filled with fantasy stories about Djinns and mysterious creatures,” the press release reads. “With the team’s diverse background, they wanted to show this in their very first game.”

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, a gothic horror video game that will blow your mind
Tumblr media
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a gothic horror action side-scrolling RPG set in 9th century England. The game is a modern take on the classic Castlevania series, with a focus on exploration, combat, and character progression. It was developed by ArtPlay, DICO, and WayForward, with Koji Igarashi, a renowned developer known for his work on Castlevania, at the helm. The game's story follows Miriam, an orphan who has been cursed by an alchemist and is slowly turning into crystal. She must navigate a demon-infested castle, fighting through hordes of enemies and bosses to uncover the secrets of the castle and stop the summoner, Gebel. The game features a large, interconnected world to explore, with a map size almost twice as big as Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night boasts high-fidelity 2.5D graphics, with detailed 3D models rendered in a 2D side-scrolling environment. The game's soundtrack, composed by Michiru Yamane and Ippo Yamada, veterans of the Castlevania franchise, is an unforgettable experience. The game also features multiple playable characters, with secret characters awaiting discovery. The gameplay is reminiscent of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, with a focus on exploration, combat, and character progression[. The game has a high level of replayability, with a level cap of 99 and the ability to unlock new abilities and items through exploration and combat. The game also features a crafting and upgrade system, which requires collecting demon parts to craft new items and upgrades.Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was initially funded through a Kickstarter campaign, which raised $5,545,991, making it the most funded video game on Kickstarter at the time. The game has received positive reviews for its faithfulness to the Castlevania series, while also introducing new elements and gameplay mechanics. Overall, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a must-play for fans of the Castlevania series and horror action RPGs in general. Its engaging gameplay, beautiful graphics, and haunting soundtrack make it a standout title in the genre.
Tumblr media
The plot of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night revolves around Miriam, an amnesiac girl who becomes a demon hunter after waking up to find herself cursed by an alchemist and slowly turning into crystal. The game is set in a demon-infested castle that has appeared from another dimension. Unlike many other games in the genre, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night takes a more upbeat approach with well-lit environments, up-tempo music, and light-hearted story moments to balance its dark narrative. The lore of the game involves a nefarious plot by individuals aiming to end the world to prove their importance. Despite the somewhat convoluted storyline, the characters are well-written and engaging, providing players with adequate motivation to embark on the adventure. The game features full 3D models, with environments that are visually appealing, and a soundtrack that evokes a nostalgic Castlevania vibe. In terms of gameplay, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night follows the classic Metroidvania formula, emphasizing exploration, combat, and character progression. It incorporates an item-based progression system that unlocks new areas of the map as players acquire new abilities. The game rewards players for exploring the castle by presenting them with areas that require specific power-ups to access, encouraging backtracking and thorough exploration. The overarching narrative of the game involves Miriam's journey to uncover the secrets of the castle, stop the summoner Gebel, and thwart the plans of those seeking to bring about chaos and destruction. The plot delves into themes of demonic possession, manipulation, and the consequences of alchemical experiments gone wrong. Through interactions with various characters like Dominique, Alfred, and Gebel, players gradually unravel the intricate web of motivations and alliances that drive the story forward.
The gameplay in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is reminiscent of classic Metroidvania titles, focusing on exploration, combat, and character progression. The game features an item-based progression system that unlocks new areas of the map as players acquire new abilities. Players are consistently faced with areas they can't reach initially, encouraging them to return later with the necessary power-ups to access new areas. Unlike many modern "Metroidvanias," Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night stays true to the core elements of the genre, offering a rewarding exploration experience. The game's atmosphere is mellow, with well-lit environments and up-tempo music, creating a unique vibe within the genre. The game's aesthetics include full 3D models, visually attractive environments, and a soundtrack that evokes a nostalgic Castlevania feel. In terms of combat, players engage in battles with various enemies and bosses throughout the demon-infested castle. The game offers a variety of weapons, abilities, and upgrades to enhance combat mechanics. Additionally, players can craft new items and upgrades by collecting demon parts, adding a layer of customization and strategy to the gameplay.

Releasing Today, May 15 2024!
Realm Of I is a fast paced minimal (atari? idk I never know what to call this style) pixel metroidvania. It has a spell based (projectile) combat system. The music is apparently dynamically generated? There's some neat layering going on in here amongst the minimalistic graphics.
Astral Rift is a top down action roguelike. Uh, collect stuff, kill hordes, visit townsfolk?
An English Haunting is a pixel art point and click horror game.
Aeruta is an action platformer with a shop management mechanic, sort of like Battle Chef. It also has a little bit of a coffee shop mechanic where you have to do a DDR input to make (sell?) stuff. I hope it's translated to English though.
Cozy Crest is a whole element-bending open world survival farming chill game? It looks surprisingly put together for what I normally skim through.
Pilapila is a 2d block stacking puzzle platformer.
Deep Beyond is a first person walking simulator/puzzle game about a sea diver trying to figure out why her father disappeared.
Baladins is a co-op...roleplaying game...graphic novel? I'm not really sure how to describe it. It's a multiplayer choose your own adventure that lets you build character stats and then make choices that will be affected by them to change the story.
Mullet Madjack is a roguelike fps that is inspired by the hyper detailed and gory 90s anime that you used to find only on VHS tapes or if you watched Anime Abandon.
