While we wait for tomorrow's championship poll, I wanted to make a special post. I was very moved by the dedication of the coughing up blood crew (such a close one!), especially @seth-whumps and the bribery efforts. Okay I am officially taking stock of every age drop they give us in the first few seasons so my own personal timeline can always be correct ❤️

So far in season 1:

Abby: 42 (1x01)

Bobby: 50 (1x01)

Buck: 26 (1x06 and 1x09)

Athena: 50 (1x09)

in season 2:

Christopher: 7 (2x02)

Harry: 10 (2x14, according to Bobby)

in season 3:

Buck: 28 (3x01)

May: 17 (3x02)

no official age drops. the timeline is largely very consistent from s1-s5 (it's in 6b/season 7 that things get a little messy) so my personal advice/suggestion - particularly from a fic pov if you're looking for accurate ages - is just go by what age everyone should be in s5 and add on the relevant number of years as necessary (eg buck should be 30 in s5, 31 in s6, 32 in s7 etc.)

Additional notes:

Michael says Athena had May at 37 in 1x01 and Athena also says in the scene where she calls herself 50 that she got married 14 years ago so it’s possible she could actually be 51/52 depending on May’s s1 age

Bobby's dating profile in 1x10 says he's 52

In 2x05 Athena tells Hen that Nathaniel (Denny's dad) met Eva in rehab seven years ago, suggesting Denny has, at most, just turned 7 at the start of s2

Chimney's birthday happens in 3x11, suggesting Chim's birthday is some time in march but no age is given

Hen says in 4x03 she joined the fire department at 30 and med school at 40, suggesting she was 30 during most of the events of Hen Begins

Edit/Correction: In 4x04 Chimney says Maddie was told to keep the secret about Daniel when she was 9 and in 4x05 Maddie says Daniel died a year after Buck was born, meaning there's an 8 year age gap between Maddie and Buck. So if Buck is 29 in season 4 then Maddie is 37 (thank you @slightlyobsessedwitheverything for also catching this!)

in 4x10 when May listens to Athena's 911 call from her overdose, Athena tells the dispatcher May is 14, confirming her s1 age

In 6x15 Shannon's gravestone says she was born in 1992 meaning she was 27 when she died. Given it's heavily implied Eddie and Shannon are in and around the same age he was likely also 27/28 in season 2

In 6x17 Eddie says he and Shannon met in 8th grade and then got together in 12th grade, once again inferring they're the same age

In the Doctor Odyssey crossover episode (set in s8 timeline) Athena says May is 23 and Harry is 17

So, it's official: NCIS: Tony and Ziva is coming in September, which is only a few short weeks away!! Seriously… it'll fly by in the blink of an eye!

If you've been here for a while, you'll know that I'm a long-time Tiva lover, and this is the most excited for anything I have ever been, for obvious reasons!

But it recently dawned on me that there are people out there who may only be meeting Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David for the first time through the spinoff trailer, and wanting to watch the show because it looks awesome! (I wholeheartedly agree!)

Of course, this is a couple that spanned 8 years on NCIS, and over 190 episodes. That's a whole lot of television! While it is possible to watch all of them before the show premieres in August – and I would highly recommend it, as there's so many small moments you'd miss, and it's the best way to fully understand them –I realise that it might not be for everybody. If you only want to watch the mothership for Tiva, then you probably don't want to see most of the unnecessary filler episodes in the middle. Which is why I've made this – a breakdown of all Tiva episodes you need to watch before the spinoff comes out! Perhaps I'm biased, but if you can watch all 190-odd episodes, do it. It's the best way to truly understand these two characters and their relationship (and everything they've been through). And I feel it likely that the spinoff will contain small easter eggs and references to tiny Tiva moments, so to appreciate and recognise them all, I highly recommend watching every Tiva episode in existence! <3

It’s here, the moment we’ve all been waiting for, the Tsunami arc! 🌊 GOATED. 🙌 This week Han, Cil, and Rachel 🏊 dive headfirst into Season 3 of 9-1-1 with Episode 1, “Kids Today.”

Bobby and Athena are enjoying their literal 💖 honeymoon period, Maddie and Chimney are getting serious, Hen and Karen are working on expanding their family… and then there’s Buck and Eddie. Eddie is partnerless and Buck is jobless, these two things are not related at all. 🙂‍↔️

It starts out so well, with a surprise party 🥳 for Buck's hard-earned return to the 118, but it’s been ⌚ five minutes since his last near death experience, so the narrative must juxtapose his fleeting moments of joy with the stark reality of his continued hard times. 😓

Bobby's protective nature, while rooted in love, often leaves Buck feeling trapped and misunderstood. We discuss Bobby's projection of his own fears onto Buck and how that leads to a loss of autonomy for Buck, ultimately creating a 💔 rift in their relationship. 

We dissect how Buck's emotional turmoil and quest for purpose are intricately tied to his calling as a 👨‍🚒 firefighter at the 118 and his relationships with everyone there, particularly Eddie. 

This episode starts our exploration of a season-long theme: parental relationships. While Maddie and Chimney discuss maybe having a kid one day, Eddie is taking matters into his own hands and gives Buck a new purpose: taking care of Christopher (although, *this* isn’t what he quite had in mind.) 🫨

Buck and Chris have an existential 🤯 conversation about what Chris wants to be when he grows up and having a purpose in life, but Buck hasn’t learned that his own self worth isn’t tied to firefighting yet. We reflect on the bond that’s forming between them, reminding us that “family don’t end with blood.”

Don’t stand there gawking, catch the wave 🏄 with us and we’ll kick it when we hit the ground.

There's literally an interview that said their relationship deepens in 8x06???? I just... w h a t

Oliver hoped Tommy would stay around even if Buck and Tommy didn't stay together? That's out.

Tim saying how important it was that Tommy had the connections that his previous girlfriends had been missing? Not explored on screen.

Breaking old habits? Nope.

Telling a story that is one of happiness and joy? Not so far! Not with that ending!

There are going to be issues but we don't want it to feel too down or too heavy? Um have we seen the scruff on Buck when he's baking with Jee? Flashbacks to 3x01, anyone?? Did he take time off work? We never see him that scruffy.

Did we even see Eddie left out in the cold? There hasn't been a lot of personal scenes tbh, and Buck and Tommy were there for Christopher's birthday party.

Also I would *love* to know if that friend/guest actress still feels that way now that 8x06 has aired.
