The quote kinda stuck with me when I played the Princess and the Dragon route of Slay the Princess. The emptiness of the room. The insistence that you deserve this-your existence hurts people and only ever will hurt people.

I could go on about how this must affect the Princess and how she interacts with you but thats for a later post. Right now I’m here to say that Mono from Little Nightmares 2 would get where she’s coming from. Being locked away in a room alone because someone is scared of you is also something he has to go through(this isn’t Six hate she is a very traumatized child trying to survive just like everyone else but that is also a ramble for another time).

Mono would probably be terrified of the Princess because a) she’s an adult and basically every adult Mono interacts with tries to kill him. And b) the Princess changes based on how one percives change and death and Mono is a terrified child whos main concern is survival. So Mono would likely percive the Princess as something like the Beast or Nightmare.

I think Steven being chains anchor to the world is really sweet, but I honestly don't really think they'd work out in a relationship.... Not even just cause I ship Klauste but . Ok partly .

For one they have a big age gap, 21 and 32, and I feel like their very wide difference of life experience leaves very little for the two of them to even have anything that in common. I also just don't see them as having chemistry as a couple either .. they really just seem like they'd only work as good friends and coworkers.

I was digging through some of my wips, and I found this old Goth Teensy child I conceptualized that was partly inspired by @/flamigoat's Raypeach child <3 (not sure if they're comfortable with me fully tagging them).

His name is Baerry (pronounced Berry), and he is Goth Teensy's biological kid. He does have another parent, but I am going to leave y'all to investigative journalism to figure out who it is. (Hint: it's not Rayman) She is totally not an excuse to draw a hybrid child noooo-

Some stuff about him, his family, and some progress pics below cut:

Baerry is an intersex kid (he/she) who is honestly pretty unstable physically and mentally. He's a nervous wreak and terrified to let people know she's not a "true teensy". He hates being limbless (even if it's saved his ass a couple times), but she still likes the perks that come with it, like reaching higher shelves and not getting sore arms and legs like her friends. He loves all his family and wants to go on a "Mama Mia" esque quest to find out who his other parent is.

Baerry was found outside of GT's home one night. He was a baby at the time, and Goth had no idea what to do with him. Goth could sense that the kid was his (when people are related their magic radiation feels different from a non-related person) but did not quite remember who the other parent was. He had an idea but did not bother pushing them into answering.

Extra hc: When Glade people have kids, it's just a magic combination of the parents (mono or poly doesn't matter). The blue lums will send out a specific magical effect that merges together. Then, the signal is sent to Polokus. There, he keeps track on which blue lums are available to inhabit a body and imagines a kid for that specific signal. Polokus is kinda messy tho, so sometimes he makes kids for people who are already broken up or widowed. It's quite the surprise when they show up, but Glade folks live by the "it takes a village to raise a child" mentality, so (most) kids have a large support group.

Baerry lives with GT on the regular (obviously), but since GT has a job, he can't care for his kid all the time. So, he has help :). Shadi is Baerry's primary caretaker outside of his dad. She's an awesome aunt who loves pushing Baerry towards his goals. She also gave him the bandana she uses for her hair. Wizard, Jano, and Romeo all come over quite frequently too to help out, but since they all have jobs too, it's not too frequently. The Grand Minimus and Rayman also like hanging out with the kid, but more like "out on the town" kinda thing and not anything long-term. Globox also babysits since his kids and Baerry get along pretty well. Ales is no contact atm b/c Wizard hates his ass and refuses to let him see Baerry.

As for his magic, it's very finicky. It's not like Goth, where his dream magic is weak but his nightmare magic is strong, or like Wizard where the opposite is true. His magic only works in bursts. He usually comes off as magicless, but when provoked enough, causes enough feeling to bubble up and create a strong blast. Folks have theorized that this was caused by Goth's weird situation (being a dream turned nightmare turned dream again), but no one knows for sure.

There's more but I'm feeling lazy. I'm up to answer any questions tho!

Another Wednesday/Wenclair idea because I hate myself- The 5th Ostrace

My brain keeps spewing ideas but refuses to let me write a story lol. The idea is that there is a new Ostrace (using my BNHA au term) category to be generalized.

And that being aliens.

It kinda make sense: nonhumans that can't exactly accustom to norm society, so they will fit into Ostrace society (there're many reason why, especially one big reason).

The idea that multiple alien states contacted humanity before the main series so that the characters could be used to them. The alien states, other than what our countries do for diplomacy like cultural centers and participating in local events, also do student exchange program, including sending some to Nevermore.

(I already have this idea other with other franchises, using my original alien races in doing so, like Harry Potter (got this fic idea since 2013) and The Prom.)

Being nonhumans (some don't even look remotely as one), it will be difficult for the exchange students to fit in. However, another reason why they will be categorized as the 5th Ostrace- well, other than some being vastly different in appearance (one of the race, Rín [not actually the race name] is just a rubber forehead human with only pointy ears) is due them being considered mono-sex races (a homosexual species if you will).

Unlike humans and vast majority of animals being gonochorism, the alien races are mono-sex (think Asari from Mass Effect, which what inspired me [either positive or negative]), though ironically the majority will be classified as semi-monosex. Because of that, depending on the species and culture, gender is not as rigid compared to humans, especially Western cultures.

I don't really know else to write ther next one (I feel like I need to finish what my last paragraph left out lol) but I want to talk about the three alien races, or more like the three countries. There're three alien countries (two states having multiple different races) that come in contact. I don't actually have proper names for them (except the United Planetary Democracy, but that because they never bother with a singular name like the UAE), I do have their type of governmen. The three are: the United Kingdom (not actually accurate since kingdom is gender-neutral in the language, also ghere is a good reasonwhy it's called that), the UPD, and the Empire (in their defense, it's not the proper terminology [think Japan, though that isn't good either], so they wasn't as prepared for the backlash lol).

Okay, enough of that, time to talk about three alien races/countries:

So, first up is the Rín (singular is Rin), who makes up the UK. The UK is one of the states that made up of multiple races, and that because they all originated from the same planet. Rín isn't even a proper race but actually a genus (think Homo like humans). There's some races that aren't even in the same taxonomic family or class, and you piss off a lot of other people off for it. One of the races who made up like 70-80% are - I calling them Idorín for now (I never properly name almost any this, but I did categorize this mentally). Idorín are the most human-like with only superficial details being pointy ears, more colorful anime-like hairs, and having light-blue blood. Internally, their anatomy is a bit more avian (they're still viviparity). This is due to having airsac along lungs, a bit more lighter bones (through more richer with carbon). The average height is 6'3.5, though this depends on the... subsex(lol)? They're also semi-monosex, one being Ovumsere (they give birth; make up 60%), and Polisere (they... provide gametes?; make up 35%)(there are true mono-sex, though very rare; 5%). Anatomically, they're not very different other than heights (only three inches: Ovumsere av. 6'3 and Polisere av. 6'6), voice (only a bit), and genitals (lol). They're very culture diverse, average lifespan of 160 years (now 350 thanks to gene therapy). Also, there're humans in the UK before even contacting Earth (though their population doesn't even make a percentage).

The second race are So'lenas (ironically the name only name I actually come up a decade before), and another ironic twist runs the UPD. The country that has a very vague name is actually the only one that has one species (lol, lmao even). They're human-like, though not like Idorín. They kind of filled up the Blue-Skinned Soace Babe tropes, though not that much (their nose is actually sensory organ like a whale melon, they actually breathe either through their mouth or a blowhole atop their back). Their skin range either teal, light to dark blue, and purple. Their skin is a bit reptilian, though softer, and resemble more like that over your knuckles. They have freckle-like bioluminescence called 'his'kiri (meaning "star-kiss", another named for So'lena is His'lena, "Star-Person"), crest and tendril-like atop their head, semi-aquatic being (though depends on their culture of how they utilize it) which allows them to hold their breath 10-45 minutes (they look very voluptuous because of this), and give live birth (they do have breasts). They have a paddle-line tail that them swim more effectively and digitigrade legs. They're true mono-sex beings, with an average height of 6'4 and a lifespan of 300 years. Because of this, they have very loose gender roles, viewing it more like how queer women view butch and femme identity. Do of the planet (actually a satellite) they hail from (being very hot and humid), many of their culture clothing have lose clothes and transparent garments; it will be common to see their breasts (some fashion are even similar to ancient Minoan)(it also helps they've petite breasts and is not as sexualized compared to many human cultures).

The third race are Rahros ('hr' pronounce like Spanish J but with more vibration, also the full name is Ahnta'Sarnu'Rahros), and they're the majority of the Empire. Their government is a semi-constitution theocratic monarchy. The Empire and UK have a huge rivalry, almost Cold War political environment (think England-France rivalry). The race is the least human (being bipedal with a slight hunchback and 4 limbs their only resemblance), being archosauroform, though resembling more to crocodilians than to avians Most of their body are either in scute or soft scales. Though they have an upper and lower mouth, they have a pair of mandible that helps them push large food down their mouth. Their tongue is more like butterflys' (proboscis), and they can't move their mouth sideways (many of their cuisine are bite sides). They have tendrils- sometimes referred as dread or braid- growing from their head that resemble hair, shaping either smooth circle or overlapping scale oval, ranging half-an-inch to 1½ inches in thickness, and being made of keratin- it can be trimmed without hurting them (think like horse hoof trimming). They have three digit fingers and two opposing thumb in each hand. Their legs are digitigrade so they prefer to wear sandals and a small, vestigal tail. Their body shape is athletic and lean. The average height is 6'7.5, with ovumsere 6'6, while polisere are 6'9. (I have an idea Rahros character who's 8'4, 500 pound beef cake. Their dorm is in the 1st because they accidentally collapsed through the second floor. Somehow, they got their ass kick by Wednesday, fought and lost to the Hyde, and enjoys fighting Enid werewolf form). Their ovumsere/polisere ratio is similar to Idorín, though they give birth through oviparity: 45 days for the embryonic development and 8 months for incubation. Their scute colors range from light (similar to blond) to dark brown, bluish black (similar to alligators), and light sky blue. Their average lifespan is 146 years, though to 320 after gene therapy.

(One thing I trying to do is make their culture [each species has hundreds of different cultures and ethnicity] seem as different than our own, especially due to their sex and gender. One thing is that they having communal bathing and multiple relative family units living in the same housing [some Idorín/Rín culture/planet/satellite has segregated sex but this is due of excluding males from public space]).

I don't really have a plot, not compare to the Harry Potter one, however I do have some ideas.

My idea is the two children of my two OC have (ironicall, i based them on Wednesdayand Enid) are a couple, one being an Idorin (ovumsere) and anorher a So'lena. Even though both characters can't get either the other one pregnant (this isn't star trek/star wars), they use genetic engineering, so each child will have one percent of the other parent's genes. The two children are some of the main protagonists in the fic- the other are Wednesday and Enid - following their staying at Nevermore. Some conflict I think of is the Idorin OC having an identity crisis- she basically a clone of their mother and trying to explore who they are (and being short, only 5'8). The So'lena child doesn't have this problem since an average So'lena gain 95% from their mother. However, the So'lena OC too has one, of be it having an ethnic/species identity crisis- they rarely interacted with their own species that wasn't their own So'lena mother (they both lived their Idorin mother maternal family, the housing having around 100 people in it [it helps the family are a noble dynasty]).

Another idea is about how all three (or multiple) species are, either though physically and biologically different from one another and to humans, still share some common traits. One is how all 4 love to gossip and talk shit behind their back. I want Wednesday, who was excited about meeting them, disappointed how asinine, unambitious, and unimaginable they're, being so similar to humans. The Idorin OC will point out how idiotic and problematic she sounded, especially if she had said that to another Idorin.

Probably another idea is Nevermore nonalien characters exploring the aliens culture. One idea is Yoko trying to learn So'lena lingua franca, helps that I based the language on Japanese and Hawaiian (syllabary characters, no third person pronouns, a mixed of particle and grammatical case, subject-object-verb sentence, etc). Divina enjoying swimming with So'lena due of having aquatic body-type, though they will complain about the cold (their thermoregulation is meant to dissipate heat as quickly as possible). Enid will enjoy listening to one of the Rin races (having a more feline appearance) song genre, sounding similar to K-pop and J-pop (genre name in English will be Songstress Motet), though she will be shock just how dark and gruesome some of the lyrics are (think Yoru ni Kakeru).

I don't have much else to add, but this is a good amount, I think.

gen has had some vicious moments, like iirc holding the knife to travis's neck when he breaks the circle for nat to run during the queen hunt. she also pushes nat after she kills ben. plus telling ben that he doesn't deserve to be looked in the eye during the almost-execution. obviously this is all happening in the throes of trauma and group think (like literally every example), but it makes me think of her as a fiercely protective person?

like she is actually a HUGE team player. idk if she has a canonical position, but i think of her as a sweeper, like someone who puts their absolute life on the line for the goalie in a very vicious way. also it's kinda cute to think of her checking out melissa's ass from further upfield since i hc melissa as a midfielder.

best friend origins & coming out-

i like the hc's that gen and melissa are best friends before they join the soccer team. i like to think of them meeting in early middle school because melissa keeps trying to discretely cheat off gen because she's just so fuckshit at school and gen thinks it's funny how obvious she is and takes pity on her. they start eating lunch & studying together and gen realizes melissa is really charming & they hit it off as friends- gen is always the more practical one & melissa is the one who gets her to soften up and smile more.

they both end up getting on the soccer team in middle school together (gen's idea, actually - she has been playing since she was a kid & melissa has always watched girls professional soccer bc they're HOT and she kinda wants in on that, y'know?). for away games, they're always bus buddies & their dumbasses even got mono from sharing the same gatorade bottle skjfskljalsaf

at the time, their teammates spread a rumor that they were making out & melissa is absolutely horrified. gen doesn't know why and is just reassuring her, like "they're joking, calm down, no one actually thinks that"; this lil panic leads melissa to confess that, actually, she does like girls & like she knows people hate that and if gen hates that she gets it but she can't help it-- and gen is like "whoa, whoa, HEY" and reassures melissa that she has no problem with that, one of her cousins is gay, and being gay is fine & she won't tell anyone.

after that conversation, when the other teammates are still fucking with them about it in the locker room, gen clocks the main aggressor right in the face and gets the first detention she's ever had in her goody-two-shoes life. in a fervor, melissa dumps her chocolate milk on her math teacher's shoes so that she can get detention too and be with gen dskjfalkjfdslafjslkf

Nah, you're good I don't think I've ever really talked much about Minerva/Mono but I can for sure answer this stuff!

Minerva is a fun character because shes one I made when I was like 14-15 and was so badly written but also for the revamp of PM I wanted to kinda keep her story close to how it was back then so I will say a heads up her story is very much 15 year old me branded and I mostly just tried to fill in gaps to make it at the least make a bit more sense but it still is like kinda shit and I love that about her.

As far as interest and Hobbies go she's big into sports. Specifically Baseball is her favorite as well as boxing. She likes clowns that is part of why she is clown themed. She's also got interest in voodoo as she did grow up learning about it since her Ganmother Seraphine practiced it.

She's got a major sweet tooth as well and if she sees anything sweet she WILL eat it. Drinks WAAAAAAY too much root beer.

Jeff - Initially she did hate Jeff quite a lot as he kinda did slit her throat when he first met her and then claimed it was because he panicked because SHE scared HIM. They do eventually end up developing a friendship.

Wilson - Wilson and Minerva get along well enough however should NEVER be left alone with each other as they WILL end up doing some shit that is just dumb as fuck and could potentially be destructive or dangerous for them and those around them. Her Jeff and Wilson all end up developing a pretty strong friend group and do just be beating the shit out of each other for fun.

Ragz - Ragz Is a bit complex because outside of clown training Minerva does actually like Ragz but can't stand their ass when it comes to learning clown shit.

Domi - fun fact! Domi and Minerva are siblings Domis mom and Minervas father end up dating at some point. Domi and Minerva already had a sorta sibling relationship before this so they're just happy for them. They also did form the 3 ring together.

Now the OTHER QUESTIONS I'ma just drop lore on the backstory under the cut because it's long and requires a lot of info on the backstory to understand.

So For the vast majority of her life up until meeting Slenderman, Minerva was under the impression she was a human named Alexandria Kage and was Raised by a woman who she THOUGHT was her biological grandmother named Seraphine. The reality of it was that she wasn't a human like at all and she wasn't even biologically related to her. She started going by Minerva after getting to the underworld and meeting her Father who told her that was the name he intended to give her before her "Mother" (Seraphine) left him and took Minnie with her. Her Father and Seraphine were a couple and at one point wanted to start a family however him being a Shade and her being human they couldn't biologically have a child together. However the decided to go the route of making a nightmare which is essentially a human spirit that's consumed by a Shade and reborn as a Nightmare (think of them kinda like sleep paralysis demons. They create nightmares and feed of fear and when someone experiences sleep paralysis these are the "demons" they might see). At first things were fine but once Minerva got older to where it was time that she started actually doing nightmare shit Seraphine didn't like the idea of her living by taking advantage of peoples fears and in some cases trauma. She saw it as just morally fucked up (which for a human 100% would be fucked up to take advantage of someone's fears insecurities and trauma) They basically got into a disagreement as it was essentially that Minerva start learning about her abilities and just what she is at a young age so when she's an adult she doesn't struggle with them. Seraphine who started to dabbled in magic not long after meeting him didn't think she ever needed to because they had a means to disguise her as a human and for her to live a normal human life. It kinda at that point ended up being a disagreement over how Minerva should be aware of what she is rather than keeping that a secret from her for the rest of her life. Seraphine decided to just up and leave with her and basically raised Minerva in the road so not to be found by Minnies father. Because of how nightmares age however by the time Minerva was in her mid 20s Seraphine was old as hell. And by that point they had settled in New Orleans. Fast forward to about a month before the start of PM and Seraphine passes away which Minerva takes hard as she was her only family. But with Seraphine gone there wasn't anyone to continue to do the spell that disguised Minerva as a human so her nightmare qualities started to slowly show as the spell was wearing off. It caused people to fear her simply because Nightmares just unsettle humans by being around them. It caused her to lose the relationships she had formed, her job, and eventually she was essentially completely alone. But once these things started to show it made it easier for her to track down and that's when Slenderman found her. He knew her father so a Proxy was sent to go and bring Minerva back. However they didn't really think through that Jeff is a human so it kinda went south quick resulting in Minervas "Death" as far as local authorities knew. She was pronounced dead. She stayed in the underworld because not only did she just find out her whole life was a lie she did need to learn to use her abilities and how to survive. Not only that she'd never be able to have a normal life among humans so best she could do is try and have one on the underworld. She works for Slenderman specifically so she can have a well paying job and get on her feet as she didn't want to just rely on her dad as she didn't have a relationship with him and it just felt strange to her to do it.

lemon demon can be summoned by ritual like all demons. part of his "sacrifice" requires lemonade.

he's also capable of doing and understanding summoning circles, but other than those he's kinda bad at demon magic and defaults to physical means

I've talked about this but due to being a demon he can withstand hot temperatures better than most people. not super useful when you're living outside of hell, but it makes for funny situations in reference to using an oven.

It's time again to look at Thunder Junction's cards and try and divine where each and every one of these bad boys are from.

Also just a note in case people are curious; since Tumblr has a 30 image limit per post, I'll be doing all of The Big Score at the end, after all the colours and stuff. It's my prerogative and I'll do as I please. If you missed the first part, you can find it here! So without further ado, it is time for...

BLUE

While I don't think EVERY mount is from Thunder Junction Proper... newts ARE a creature that shows up in the west. I was initially thinking this could be for Eldraine, especially given it belongs to an archmage, but... ultimately, I think this is a native to the plane.

Another native, and dare I say this is a CHARISMATIC crab. I love the crystals on its back! I also love the blue cacti nearby it? Those are real by the way!

There aren't many turtle-men in Magic. Three, in fact, before this one; the Lagoon Sage, a Quandrix student, and a Kappa from Kamigawa. The Kappa has a VERY distinct look, the Quandrix is a sea turtle, and the Lagoon Sage is a snapper just like the Thunder-Thief over here... and I'm gonna make a called shot and say this is from Bloomburrow as a result!

Homarid are a Dominaria specialty, so this racist bastard is absolutely from there.

Djinn of this type are only found on Tarkir, so this one is easy. He's taken a break from his dragon-infested plane to relax under a waterfall martial artist style, and that's just kinda fun.

This is a tricky one, since the ability is pretty plane agnostic, and the design doesn't evoke much in it... but her collar DOES have the typical three-fang Dimir tell, and it'd fit both colour and what she's doing, so lets go with Ravnica.

Sadly a cursory Wiki glance tells me only that this guy is from America.

... okay okay, taking this seriously; the wings and the scroll and the steps, the name, all the flavour suggests this is from Amonkhet for me. It could be from elsewhere, but this feels the most "correct" for lack of a better term. I wish cards like this would get flavor text reprints down the line though...

These are some home-grown ghosts, and we know from various other stories (Gideon, Elspeth, etc) that when you die you go to the afterlife of the plane you're on... so these are some newly "born" natives.

These unfortunate individuals are from the dead plane of Oregon.

... what? I already used that joke? Okay fine. There really isn't any actual signifiers here, and the only humanoid in the art is too indistinct to tell. Given the content of the card is trying and failing to ford one of Thunder Junction's mighty rivers, I'm calling this card "native to the plane" for lack of anything else appropriate.

Oh hey it's everyone's favorite running gag from Ravnica. Fblthp is an easy one, so instead of elaborating more on our mono-eyed friend instead I'll bring up a question I want any of you reading this to answer.

Didn't they say during the initial preview teasers that there was an important plot event happening in the background of this card? That never bore fruit and I can't remember the exact preview stream I heard it, but I swear I did. I want someone to confirm this for me. I'm abusing my power.

Regrettably, the flavor text makes this spell be sourced from Oko's Home Plane. I do love this weird tumbleweed creature though!

A personal favorite character of mine, Geralf is an Innistradi born and raised, here to investigate the Thunder of the plane- as well as test how mana bonds work for planebound folk now that they have access to planar travel. Good luck, sir.

An obvious native of the plane. I quite like the flavor of this card as well by the way, it's just a clever way to incorporate the geysers you would occasionally see in the old west.

Another Thunder Junction native! It's wild how many of these there actually are, but wild animals do make up a bulk of cards in Magic so it's not THAT unreasonable.

Fun lore tidbit; allegedly the Thunder only started after the Omenpaths opened up. No one has lived here before that so no one can confirm that is true, and this flavor text suggests otherwise.

One of the only cards showcasing the least important members of Oko's gang of ruffians! Kaervek and Satoru busting out of jail thanks to the help of Annie Flash. The framing of the card makes it feel more like Kaervek's doing the real world (valid, Satoru is a loser this entire story) so I'm gonna call it for Zhalfir here- and yes even though technically everyone from Zhalfir is from Dominaria, it's a plane all its own now. I make the rules here!

The Fomorian made star-key to open up their vault on Thunder Junction, I feel like it is safe to say this was made here. It's got little arcs of Thunder and even looks like a deputy star, so it fits the vibe.

Fun fact; being a six pointed star, plus the fact that in the story they mentioned the sixth slot started glowing purple, I briefly had the idea that they might be implying the Fomorian's know of Purple magic and we'll get it in the big Space set we're getting down the line. Then I remembered Cosmium is purple and a major energy source for the Fomorion people, so nevermind.

I can't confidently say this is from Bloomburrow, given we don't know how big the people of that plane can get- so far they've maxed out at Badger and Fox- but I really don't know where this guy could be from otherwise! Maybe Ravnica? So lets call this Bloomburrow until corrected otherwise.

Incidentally this is one of my favorite pieces of art in the set. Love this fucking guy.

Beyond all the art signifiers, I believe it was straight up said on twitter this is a Therosian Sphinx, so she's from Theros. Good for her. Why is she wearing spurs...?

I'm fairly confident this is meant to depict Stella Lee, and she's from the Atiin people, so that's where this is from! Rundo meanwhile sounds like a Ravnica, but that's just some trivia.

This one I'm not fully sure on. The little bird like flecks of white in his magic, the watery energy... I feel like I've seen it somewhere before, but I can't quite place it. The red and blue suggests Izzet but then he's a Slickshot, the red-blue faction on Thunder Junction. I'm gonna go with my gut and say Ravnica, though.

Shit like this is why I wish we'd gotten a planeswalker guide...

Blue, so far, has some of the most easy and obvious ones to place, and for this I'm thankfully. This guy is a Stitcher, so he's from Innistrad. Easy as.

She's got some of the Sterling Company aesthetic going on, but I'm a stickler for stupid jokes so I'm gonna say she's from Zendikar. The armor could evoke Sea Gate, and they've always been good with ropes so why NOT translate that to combat?

Like with the earlier ghosts, dead-then-revived means you're native to Thunder Junction... but also this guy is clearly an Obscura from New Capenna, using some of his old magic, so I'mma call it for the big city here.

Oko's big bad gang preparing for the heist of the life-time. Since it's Oko's big idea it's from Oko's stupid plan.

The sort of misty blasts of fire and ice we're seeing here is aesthetically similar to the "gunfire" magic of New Capenna. I love this guy by the way.

YEah for those of you who don't know, the Ashiok in this set is actually Jace in disguise! So this is from home-grown celtic Vryn mind-shredding. Our hero(?) ladies and gentlehommes.

An actual Sterling Company goon, though at least this one has a funny joke to his card. I still really like the work they did in making sure every weapon used in the set has the needed arcing loop for Thunder to channel through it.

Oh right the reason why we're here. I'm gonna say New Capenna again, because there's basically no defining traits here. Also god I just realized he's missing the front brim of his hat and it looks terrible. Graywater pay your men properly they can't even afford complete hats!

It took me a bit to realize what was happening in this card. The lady in the back is only choosing the final Spree option here, swapping around the Outcaster and the Hellspur's clothing. Rude!

Clothing swap spells seems like a funny prank to pull at magical college, so Arcavios is where this is going.

I think in cases where I just cannot make any reasonable assumptions based on art, I should look at mechanics. Flashback is usually in Innistrad... but this lady's neckline is WAY too exposed for that Even accounting for the new plane... honestly I give up, the only real identifying factor here is her little lockpick device, which... kinda looks Kamigawan? Lets go with that.

The vibe, the way she wears her hat, and the little phone cord(?) on her belt makes me think of New Capenna. Look some of these are really difficult and I gotta go by vibes!

Absolutely. My secret goal is to keep the conversation going back and forth for the longest possible time because I love the opportunity for a good ramble about my writing 😈

I wanna say Ad vitam æternam (L'art du crime)? I mean, it's literally an MCD fic, so, not that merry... Also if I remember correctly, Always lost in the sea (HPI) doesn't end on a very hopeful note either.

I don't know? All of them? None? I generally tend to go for happy open endings with that extra bit of bittersweet so I really couldn't tell. But hey, maybe the ending to that thing I'm currently writing actually is the happiest of it all, because oh boy, things do get cheesy at some point 🥺

No at all! Unless you count that one person who commented on several chapters of whichever long GG fic I wrote just to point blank hate on Beth character lol

Of course I do (in English only), I like my porn toxic and desperate and angsty with just the right amount of power play and mutual hatred. Basically, I write hatefuck 😂

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Not really, no... I've tried a couple of times, but I think I'm better at/more interested in mimicking existing interactions than inventing a dynamic between characters who never met canonically (and also, boy the kind of SETUP you need to justify some characters crossing paths... it's just too much work). I'm more of a cameo/easter egg kind of writer, so once in a while I'll allow a character from another fandom to pop up in a fic and say hi, but it's really a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kind of encounter.

I guess my craziest attempt would be that Crazy Ex-Girlfriend / Good Girls crossover that I never finished though, cause like, super different moods?

Kinda? We never finished nor even posted it but at some point we shared a quite unhinged co-writing story with @whiskeyjack and @00gangfriend00 and it was a lot of fun 🥰

It's All Coming Back To Me, obviously. Look, I really really want to finish it, not even for me at this point, but for the 120-something people who subscribed to it, for the faithful readers who still leave me comments every now and then hoping for closure. I know how it ends. I have it partially written. I just don't seem to know how to write for Good Girls anymore, and getting my head back into it feels like such an insurmountable load of work, I just- I'm trying, ok?

But like, if someone's interested in helping, or even writing that ending based on my notes (and getting full and proper credits for it obvi), just let me know! I'm really open to it 🥲

16. What are your writing strengths?

Probably dialogues? I've been told many times that my dialogues feel very close to the original, and the thing is, I write about TV shows and I have a very good ear so I think I catch quite easily the actors' voices and tones and mannerisms in my head, so every time I write down a line, I play it several times in my mind with the character's voice to determine whether they would say it like that or not. Looks like it's not working so bad.

Also I *think* I'm not too bad at stream-of-consciousness inner monologues. At least it's one of my favourite things to write so there's that.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Action scenes (that includes sex lol). Filling the gaps between the important parts. Descriptions. Setting up the scene.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Like, featuring two different languages inside the same fic, or writing in different languages? I'm not sure I've ever really written the first one? I guess I find it a bit clunky, occasionally I've written scenes that included a character whose native language wasn't the one of the fic, and I'd give them a line or two if that's relevant to the plot (for instance, if characters are lost somewhere in another country, I can add a line/dialogue in another language for comedic effect. Or it can be a way for a character to whisper something for themselves), but the logistics are quite nightmarish, you gotta either assume your audience knows the second language, or translate the lines in the author's note, or have another character translate it in a way that doesn't sound too articifial, that's really really tedious haha
