and like, the thing about the amsterdam james lore was that if they wanted a james redemption, they could have used that as an opportunity to soft launch it! "my dad took me to amsterdam and we actually had a good time, but after we got back home he started drinking again and things got bad again." i still dont think thats justification for jamie reconnecting with him, but at least we could have canon evidence he was an okay dad when sober. but no, they doubled down, and made trying to kill a main character somehow *not* the worst thing james had done

Yeah I think what's most crazy is that scene solidified in my own mind so many missing pieces in my own headcanoned Jamie lore. We learnt SO much in that scene and not one single piece of information pointed towards "this is a character who is going to not only recover but act as a non-negative presence in Jamie's life."

New information I gathered from the Amsterdam scene:

As you pointed out, physical/emotional abuse of his son and nearly murdering Beard are not the topmost crimes on James Sr.'s scorecard.

leading into, Jamie is a csa victim

Jamie doesn't remember it happening. we've discussed at length what that could stem from and yes there are multiple explanations but. well. uhh. none of them are good. i think.

Others disagree, and that's completely fine, but I very much think the scene is coded as This Is The First Time Jamie Has Told Anyone What Happened and Roy is Now the Only Person Who Has this Information.

At the time of taking Jamie to Amsterdam, James Sr. was trying to get back together with Georgie and playing up the "Superdad" routine

Others disagree with this as well, but I read that line as Jamie implying it was neither the first nor last time James had tried those tactics (and possibly been successful at one or more points, we don't know one way or another)

Georgie allowed Jamie to go to Amsterdam with James and then presumably allowed James to continue seeing Jamie afterwards (we're given no information to the contrary, anyway)

So taking all of that together, to me it's not just the confirmation that the abuse Jamie suffered at his father's hands was even more abhorrent than we thought or that Jamie's trauma runs deeper than we previously thought. It's also evidence that Jamie has never been in a position where he's felt comfortable with confronting that trauma and has yet to unpack all of the things he has gone through.

Furthermore, the scene hints that what we see at the end of s3 is (imo quite possibly) not the first time James has been in rehab or at least claimed to have sobered up or shown signs of recovery, only to fall back into his old ways shortly afterwards. This is indicated by Georgie allowing him to take their son out of the country, which (considering we meet her later in the season and get a sense of her character, including her deep love for her son) I cannot imagine her doing had James been obviously still a drunk. This is also why I personally believe Jamie hasn't told her what happened, because he continues to see his father after he returns. I just can't see Georgie allowing that had she known.

None of this sets the scene for a successful James recovery arc. In fact, for me it makes the whole thing worse and so unlikely to end for good because 1) Jamie forgives his father before even processing everything his father did to him, and without informing any of the people closest to him, let alone consulting an actual professional. This to me does not indicate Jamie is in the right mental place to be embarking on this new journey. 2) There is absolutely a more-than-plausible chance James Sr.'s current rehab stint will follow the same cycle as times previous: he's better for a while. he's superdad! until he's not. and Jamie as usual becomes collateral damage.

I therefore am forced to conclude Jamie could very well be opening himself up to more hurt and more pain at his father's hands, when he hasn't even dealt with his current backload of hurt and pain. If we were supposed to feel hopeful in the final scene where Jamie visits him--I have to say, because of what THEY told us and wrote about their backstory, I feel anything but.

so this post got me spiralling into detective mode again and yes i know douglas suggesting it might have been war/pollution but i have certified trust issues™ and i dont believe that for one darn second

i also don't think it's a kiss. lemme explain horrifically

so i took another look at the two frames we have of The Leaked Smooch™ and the background has a lot to be desired (if you take into account that the boys are taking up most of the frame (duh), plus already fairly average quality video PLUS compression from when i captured it)

but i think we can safely rule out that The Leaked Smooch™ doesn't happen in the theatre here, mainly because even though the quality is bad, the glasses in the Smooch™ are crowley's modern ones, not the ones we saw him wear in the 1941 flashback in s1, plus his hair is differently styled... so yes can pretty confidently say this is not the kiss we are looking for

so i wanted to pinpoint what era the theatre bit is actually set in, and therefore i set about identifying the theatre in question. turns out kids that im not a good researcher (despite it literally being my job) so it took FUCKING AGES but i eventually found set photos of the boys entering a theatre, specifically the hippodrome in bo'ness:

now this was a turn-up for the books, because that's crowley's 1941 costume right??? id recognise that iconic fit anywhere. az's costume is trickier to pinpoint bc he wears the same damn thing but pretty sure this is a match to the church scene:

so we know from s1 that we have the church scene yada yada, and crowley offers aziraphale a lift home... which we know he accepts given that the s2 trailer gives us the ✨Dinner of '41✨ scene:

the other bit however to this puzzle is that there ALSO a set pic of aziraphale at the hippodrome in his magician's outfit. given the frame from the trailer where he looks like he's about to brick it going on stage, surrounded by lovely burlesque girlies and dame siân phillips in period dress, AND there were extras on the set dressed in ww2-type army uniforms, so i think it can be fairly surmised that this bit also occurs in the 40s

so my thought process is that we're getting two separate scenes (kinda) from the 40s, we have the church bit from s1 plus the Dinner of '41 scene as its own entity, but then, like

aziraphale is doing his magic act as a side hustle to this burlesque show? and crowley turns up to watch him, hiding out up in the box?

if we follow this completely made up narrative ive just come up with, aziraphale, im assuming, finishes up and gets changed into his normal clothes, and then goes up to this box to meet crowley?

to this end, i captured and slowed down the bit in the opening sequence where aziraphale and crowley (sorry douglas, not buying it) are in the box... and-

now to my eye, the motion of them in the clip looks like they are dancing? i don't have the source to hand but we've had it confirmed that a choreographer was brought into s2, not impossible az would go up to meet crowley after his magic act, whilst there's still something going on on the stage, and the two end up dancing or something? and az bless his heart gets spooked from that?

im reasonably convinced that this might be the origin of the 'you go too fast for me' line - something happens and ultimately aziraphale gets spooked given that he's only just realised he has Feelings for crowley, and so my boy fucking legs it (a lil post i made a while ago about this exact scenario if you'd care to peruse)

other thing to note:

there is a figure that is lurking behind aziraphale and crowley in the box, which looks like it moves specifically in sync with crowley, so it could be a shadow, or someone/thing is in the box that they aren't aware of 👀 so maybe this thing (?) witnesses it all? whatever went down in the box?

so in my addled feral mind, ive come up with a speculation that even as im breathing life into it sounds unhinged and so implausible it's hilarious -

i put to you, members of the jury, that something was meant to happen in that box, and it didn't... that something being that crowley makes a move of some kind - kiss, dance, hug, declaration, WHATEVER - and aziraphale was meant to accept it/reciprocate/idk, but didn't.

and that fucks with the plan, and for lack of better terminology creates a nexus event (lmao thanks loki) which in turns starts screwing with other events, somewhat like i theorised in this post here tehe

are aziraphale and crowley, essentially, the earth's endgame? idk about u but ive read enough angst fics to know that it's not inconceivable that crowley and aziraphale's mere existence may have been part of god's plan to represent free will on earth, defend humankind, and give balance and meaning to it

so what would happen if aziraphale essentially rejected that? did the most human thing possible and resisted the plan? idk i feel at this point i am just writing a fic and this will all be ludicrously incorrect bUT half the fun is torturing yourself over your own theories right 🙃

the main plot ive wanted to do is royalty omegaverse. your character has taken over my char's kingdom in war, and claimed the prince as a war prize. he is, however, a rather pitiful and traumatised man, making it rather difficult to be mean to him as one might plan to be. this plot can also work with your char being a prince, and the leader giving my char to yours as a husband. i'm open to swapping some details around, as long as the "my char is a war prize" jist stays.

my idea with this story would be more of a romance story, hurt and comfort, healing from past traumas, that sort of thing. id also love political drama, troubles within your character's kingdom that these two have to sort out - or anything with a lot of drama, angst, and high stress emotions, really. i'd especially love if this was set in omegaverse reversal, where alphas are lower class and omegas are upper class. ive been wanting to play with that dynamic.

(im also fine with it if you want to be mean to him, or even something like they go from enemies to lovers!! im really open honestly)

and you know that rush you get when you imagine your characters doing stuff in an amv or when you chat about them with a friend? you gotta jump into thew riting while thats still buzzing if you can!

plus it helps to have lovely pepole to encourage you, while its also VERY important to make srue not to prioritize ao3 comments or peoples attention over your enjoyment, as long as you can take that part in without working FOR attention and love you'll do great.

as lovely as wataru is , hes very very sad and he's just trying to be loved <3 so even if he does an amzing job at everything he does, he's not happy unless someone else enjoys what he does! and that can trap you in trying too hard to gain others aprooval and forgetting what you yourself do!

another thing is challenging yourself, if you doubt yourself doing something big and scary like nanowrimo or actually completing an entire book can make the big scary thing not so bad. The important thing there to remember is that anything that can bleed, can die. That is to say, if you can 'cause damage' to somethings hp bar, you can defeat it as long as you keep attacking it! eventually it will fall.

you can write an entire book just fine, if you just keep writing it.

But you gotta give yourself an hp bar for the thing or it can feel overwhelming. personally i go with a "ask a question, answer it, and ask another question" style usually when im writing

usually i would say a good chapter length is about 5,000 words max, and then writing out an outline

(in this case the question kind of sets up the overarching primary plot point- having at least one can help a lot in storytelling but theres so many different ways to tell stories. i like personally really like the 'no conflict narrative' that some japanese stories have, not that they really lack a conflict but its great for slice of life things and can kind of be stretched a lot of ways i think its called Kishotenketsu

but you know, find a method that works for you but the most important rule for writing a lot fast, is to just have fun and be self indulgent, the hardest thing to do when it comes to writing a lot, is make yourself write at all after all, as long as you actually are writing something you REALLY enjoy and like writing, you'll want to keep writing. stay true and honest to yourself and if you hae ONE big scene in mind you freaking LOVE and dont erally want to write the rest you are tottaly allowed to do that. The difference between talent and skill is often passion.

Oh and NEVER. EVER. INSULT YOUR WRITING.

AND DONT JUDGE YOUR WRITING UNFAIRLY, INF ACT, TRY NOT TO JUDGE IT AT ALL ,JUST ENJOY IT. tldr: Do what you enjoy, never insult yourself, and remember to not push yourself to conform to others expectations and praise, but do praise yourself lots and lots <3 source: a lovely writer who enjoys it very much and can truly say they love writing

personally i got stuck in a huge rut by the way a few years back when my mom told me she struggled to get into my writing because i never finished anything and it took me a long time to finally work past that though she never meant anything harsh by it. It took facing nanowrimo to suddenly kick my love of writing back into gear. completing and sucessfully writing an entire actual book proved to me i could.

also on that note one more tip

writing an entire book actually isint that big a deal, its super exciting sure! you should celebrate it! but it's something we put on a pedestal which makes it seem superhuman to complete, but...it's really not. now ive written several books since nanowrimo last year, and you can really see just looking at my fanfictions how heavily beating that helped me. writing is FUN

writing can BE fun

the biggest thing ive ever seen stop writers is fear, shame, and doubt. Same with artists, or anyone else with any skills. love, love , love~ <3

just keep writing, keep loving it, and you'll find that even if you only write a little a day, youll eventually get your goals done <3 any mountain is climbable with patience time and love!

S2E7 Burial - a post viewing rant

feeling like brokeback mountain tai tonight, head hung low, in solemnity. I just watched season 2 episode 7 'Burial' (yes i havent finished, don't sue me i like to take my time) and by god if that wasn't one of the greatest episodes of television i have ever witnessed in my short life. it was simply fantastic and topped the previous episode for me.

the way they weaved between the timelines was particularly good. i do not understand how they managed to fit in so much character development in one episode. like i feel like we learnt so much about shauna, misty, van, and lottie. i also found it really interesting how each one of their 'therapies' seemed to be really effective almost like it was planned .

i was nearly brought to tears by shauna and that stupid fucking goat. the manifestation of shauna's trauma through her estranged relationship with her daughter uugghhh. i cannot imagine what effect it would have had on her to lose the baby in the wilderness and it completely explains why shauna keeps callie 'at arms length'. the callback to jackie was also done fantastically. i miss her too though shauna, you're not special.

this episode had me thinking that misty isnt even that psychotic; baby just wants to be loved. her motives of not wanting her friend to be eaten actually warms my heart (doesnt excuse what she did). the fear of knowing that the body was out there and if it were to be found, mari would turn it into her next masterpiece of a stew, would be too much for me. i was also enjoying having all the girls on the compound just as much as she was. my very much needed comic relief.

ok taissa really turned up the crunchy gay vibes this episode like you know that women knows how to pitch a tent. (doesn't she have like a state to run or something?!?) the taivan moments were DELICIOUS and she was like REALLY getting into that kiss. i love how all it took was one kiss from her ex gf for her to start planning her divorce.

look van, your situation is tragic, really, but girl...you have had your face eaten off by wolves and have been burned alive TWICE like i think cancer is the least of your problems.

I FUCKING CALLED THAT LOTTIE'S THERAPIST WAS NOT REAL!!!! I KNEWWWWW IT. just thinking though, to be Lottie Matthew's therapist you'd have to be like the final boss therapist you get once you have defeated all other therapists. i find it very interesting that lottie wanted all the girls to go home once she had scared herself sufficiently (dont even ask me what that Antler Queen shit was about). All nat had to do was up the sexual innuendo and to get her to change her mind.

speaking of which, the lottienat truthers were FED this episode. like they're SOOO GAYYYY. I can feel a rage creeping up on me already. it's a preemptive rage. i am preparing myself for when the COWARD writers of this show do not deliver on the canon that we know we deserve in season 3. LIKE ITS ALL THERE. ALL THAT SET UP FOR... a wilderness lottienat kiss (*prays*). i will stop myself from speaking any further on the issue of lottienat (im sure you'll see the gifsets later - sorry in advance)

ok, and FINALLY. Of all the gore, bloodshed, and gruesome, or downright depraved moments in this show...NOTHING has come close to what i witnessed in the final scene of this episode. it is the only moment in yellowjackets where i have actually had to cover up what i was seeing on the screen. i am a big girl now and that was just too much for me. like, the cannibalism is one thing, but i draw the line at having to watch shauna shipman beat the shit out of lottie Matthew's pretty face. LIKE YOU CANT DO THAT TO HER. i was waiting and wanting so badly for natalie to step in and stop her but she just kept going. no one did anything and i dont get it. i understand that she needed to let her rage out but SHE WAS ABOUT TO KILL HER WTF. when lottie put her hands behind her back, my heart sunk bro. shauna you violent bitch. lottie you pathological people pleaser.

so. the show ended in.. 2007. and. god the last episode sucks so fucking bad. bad enough that the fandom as a whole collectively agrees it does not exist it never happened . phantom planet isnt real phantom planet cant hurt you if you dont look at it or think about it ever. i could go on a whole. rant about how much phantom planet sucks but instead ill just say butch hartman (<< creator of the show) is a fucking. annoying awful person and he was greedy + wanted more money from nickelodeon than they were willing to give him so they gave him a hard limit on episodes before the shoe would be canceled. so. season 3 goes downhill SO fast and ends with the fucking disaster that is phantom planet . and !!! you know how disappointing it is to have your facorite show have a garbage ending!! it sucks!! so then there was like. a HUGE HUGE long silence where there was. 0 canon content bc hartman considered it a flop and kind of just. abandoned it until he wanted clout (there were a few gameboy games that came out after the show ended + some nickelodeon games that included danny as a character + butch made a youtube channel where he would spout absolute death of the author garbage about the show every time he wanted attention but it was mostly dead silence) UNTIL. AGIT. A GLITCH IN TIME IS THE FIRST CANON SHOW COMPLIANT CONTENT THAT HAS BEEN RELEASED SINCE 200 GODDAMN 7. FUCK . and not only is it canon compliant it is ALSO A CONTINUATION OF MY FAVORITE EPISODE IN THE WHOLE SERIES.

so. my favorite episode. is ultimate enemy. it was one of the 4 movie-length episodes and the basic premise is. danny uses his ghodt powers to cheat on a huge standardized test and this sets off a butterfly effect reaction that leads to a timeline where his family + friends get killed in an explosion and he loses his mind and turns into the worlds most powerful villain <3 you can see why i like it so much im sure (<< guy who has a documented chronic weakness for stories where a good guy turns bad etc)

SO AT THE END OF THE EPISODE. Dan (the evil future danny) is trapped and locked away forever . but at the end of the ep theres a scene that hints to a possible future episode where he escapes !!!! so there was always a teased sequel but this sequel was never created due to aforementioned. budget issues and cancellation. etc. buggest disappointment of my life. UNTIL AGIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

it was released. july of this year . and i am just reading it now bc its been burning a hole in my bedside table bc it never felt like the right time to read it until this morning for some reason. and fuck its so good its literally everything i wanted.

i dont know how involved butch hartman was in the creation of it but the author (gabriela epstein) is obviously someone who cares deeply about the show and the characters and im so fucking happy about it she did an incredible job. i literally had to pause a handful of times in the first few pages just because the characters and dialogue were written so well and it was like SUCH a breath of fresh air (the fandom is. so bad. its so bad. because its been around for so long people have such insane warped takes on a lot of the characters and its become completely unbearable to me ive had to block the tag and its so painful. this is literally the only reason i am not reblogging dp content constantly. i have to filter it through artists i know can handle the characters properly. if i was not nerfed by the awful fandom it would be 24/7/365 dp lockdown and id be so unbearable) OH ALSO not only is agit a continuation of my alltime favorite episode, it also retcons the garbage pile that is phantom planet in a way that acknowledges that it was a real thing that happened but going back on it in a way that feels so so so so natural for the show. so it wasnt a throwaway "no that was bad lets forget about it" it was a well crafted well thought out "this was real and it sucked and the characters remember it BUT we can play with timeline so things will continue as normal" and . holy shit it was so fucking good. i will begrudgingly acknowledge phantom planets existence if only for agit.

this year my goal was to read at least 25 books (which now seems too easy) and i decided to start with rick's books cuz i loved pjo

(i then realized i had actually never finished the pjo series - i didnt finish the LAST book... thats crazy)

i went on yt and found a vid that showed the RIGHT way to read all his books so my journey started.

anyway blah blah blah, i wanted to talk about the kane chronicles

obv spoilers if you havent read those and if you care

hell nah. that series was so bad 😭😭 (imo ofc and ill explain why i think so)

i should mention that i read the first and third book, but i only read half of the second book cuz it got very looooooong and boring to me (i just read the wikipedia summary for it)

also the only reason i read these books was cuz i knew there would be a collab between the magicians and demigods and that sounded rly interesting to me!

im usually not that picky when it comes to books/fics/anything so i was surprised i didnt like these books. first of all theyre so long, and for what.. the world ends in 3, 4, 5 days yet each book is 90k words at best and 120k-ish words at worst. it just dragged ooooooon and onnnnn and onnnnnnnnnn. i thought maybe its just the length that im not used to (even tho ive read way longer fics but i thought maybe its not the same..) then i started reading the heroes of olympus series which was a similar length and i sped thru those. which prob means that the kane chronicles were just boring. i was gonna say that it just felt like there were attacks and fights just cuz, but then again, thats kinda similar to percy jackson books. i cant put my finger on why some fights felt kinda useless and filler.. unlike in pj books. also when they beat apophis it felt too easy. there was so much build up to that final battle, and in the end he got destroyed in like half a page or smt.. not satisfying! and since we know the kane siblings are still alive (cuz of the recording being sent etc), it didnt feel like there was anything at stake.

the egyptian mythology was actually pretty interesting, i did like learning about it. however, at times there was just a LOT of info being dumped- so many gods/stories etc that i had a hard time remembering everything. i think w the percy jackson/greek mythology books there was just more time for rick to set the scene and build the world so it didnt feel that overwhelming (even tho it was still a lot, im ngl).

and now my biggest complaint... i thought rick could write powerful female characters butttttttttt maybe that was just annabeth LOL. SADIE WAS SO ANNOYING!!!!!! she was SO unlikeable but i think we werent supposed to dislike her??? yeah shes young but so was percy and annabeth and every demigod from the pjo series and they were much more enjoyable to read about. all she cared about was guys. more specifically, sadie, a 12yo, was head over heels for ANUBIS, a THOUSAND YEAR OLD god, who oh yeah,,, looked like a 16yo guy but idk if its just me, thats still a WEIRD/uncomfy AGE DIFFERENCE 😭shes so lucky that she ended up w basically both guys she had a crush on, but she still made it such a big deal when that happened.

like anubis had stabbed her in the back or smt lmfao. also should mention that in the pjo books for ex., percabeth didnt just happen when they were 12/13... a long time passed so that relationship could feel unrushed and natural.

dont get me wrong, liking a guy etc is all normal and very teenage-y (even tho sadie wasnt even a teenager when all this happened). but making that MOST of her personality, or smt she constantly thought about and prioritized during the END OF THE WORLD. she just seemed very irresponsible and immature (which makes sense cuz shes a child.... maybe i shouldnt be reading these books as an almost 20yo) (but i can still tell when some1 has annoying qualities objectively) (even if its still a kids book)

idk thats just annoying. carter was tryna save the day/world and sadie had other things in her mind. or when she wanted to go hang out w her friends for her bday even tho the world was ending VERY soon and they had to get going. yeah she wants to be a normal kid but rn theres more important things you gotta think about bbg (and yes i do understand that the dance or her bday hang out would help w morale but at least be on the look out for stuff and dont think that youre not still on the job and most likely putting every1 in danger..). save the world first, then enjoy your life. maybe take a cake to go while youre traveling. maybe call your besties and talk to them on the phone for an hour or whatever

carter wasnt perfect, but even his obsession w zia wasnt THAT bad. it felt more normal and smt the reader (or i) could get behind and not dislike him too much for.

(when carter said that i thought he was in my head cuz i was literally thinking that sadie always leaves him to deal w important stuff)

i feel like theres more i had to say but theres too much negativity in this post already LOL im sorry 😭 this trilogy wasnt a 0 or 1 star, it was closer to 2 or maybe even 3. i didnt mind ignoring most of these. the only thing i couldnt ignore was sadie's attitude sometimes and ofc the weird relationship between her and anubis, but when walt showed up etc i had hope and it did get slightly better!

ofc im not a writer and i couldnt prob never write anything half as good as any of rick's books, but this is just my experience as the reader. as i mightve mentioned , rn im reading the heroes of olympus books for the first time and im enjoying them quite a lot!

reading through the story so far was a good idea. Im definitely realizing a lot of the dialogue is a bit stilted. This mightve been bc i was reading a Lord of the rings fic while writing some of the sections, so the formality of the language rubbed off on me. But yeah, they not always talking like young, 21st century people! Need to fix that.

Also I'm realizing HOW OFTEN i use shrugging when describing bodylanguage lmaooo. Need to go back and edit that.

I'm doing that same thing that i did in Feathers where the first three chapters are like.. Almost entirely comprised of small expository scenes, meant to catch the reader up to speed from when we last left them. Not so much the first chapter, but definitely the second and third. I'm also setting up stuff for the future plot at a break-neck speed. Like theyre not BAD scenes or chapters, but the excitement definitely doesnt pick up fully until chapter 4. I'm thinking about merging a few chapters together, because some of them aren't that long. Maybe if i combined chapter 2 and 3, it wouldn't feel as bad because it would get all of the exposition over with in a single chapter, instead of it being stretched out?

Anyway.. The development of their strained relationship seems to be at a good balance. Very early on in the story, due to some circumstances, theyre forced to work together in isolation for a few days and its a pretty angsty time bc theyre both still hurting a lot and theyre having a hard time getting along for a big part of it. But then they get better as time goes on, and that carries over pretty effectively into the rest of the story (that i read so far). I think the chapters where this goes down, I may merge. Not all of them, but some. We'll see. I dont mind the flow as it is, but some of the chapters seem a bit shorter than some of the later stuff. Like, this stuff all takes place over 5 chapters, which is a LOT. Thats 25% of the chapters so far. And some of the chapters seem a lot shorter than necessary

I've read through about half of the story so far and i'm hoping as i read further, i see that i've manage to bridge the gap between "I'm still in love and i think i made a mistake" Morgan and "I'm fine, he's just a good friend" Morgan (Who, to be clear, is in Denial). Bc at the beginning shes VERY conflicted, and by chapter 20, shes fully keeping him at an arms length because shes absolutely sure that shes over him and shes desperately clinging to her "we're friends" mantra.

Anyway those were jsut some thoughts i had. This is mostly something i wrote down for my own benefit so i can remember it for later when i finish the story and go through my rewrites and edits!

What will she be like?: Bianca will be the one who accept and understand Adie in his life but not ready to love Adie.

Narration:

Once upon a time, there are some couples named Adie and Rai. They are happy together when they hangout and they are always together like every second, they must be together at all cost. Adie put so much effort to Raiza that he shouted to all world that the he loves is only Raiza. In they loving together, they are always fighting too. Rai is so jealous when Adie got attention to his friends. Adie is so friendly because he socialize to all in their campus. Rai is also jealous when they are plenty of women sorrounded by Adie but Adie knows his boundaries, he assure that the one who see in his eyes is only Raiza but Raiza's attitude is different.  Even though Adie explained, Raiza kept talking and talking. Adie feels that all he do is wrong to Raiza. When they go outside, they went to Rancho de Cabileo to have roadtrip but they saw Bianca along the way. Bianca and Adie are have some memories together because they loved each other before. Adie cleared in his mind that he doesnt like Bianca anymore and he explained it to Raiza. Raiza gets mad and she didnt talk to Adie. When they arrived, she is cold and have no energy. In one moment, she ask a random question to Adie.

Dialogue

Scene 1 (The Question)

Raiza: Hey just a quick question, if you ever got a chance to take risk to Bianca before, will you do it?

Adie is so confused on wat Raiza said but Adie said the truth and explained it.

Adie: I will not lie to you, Yes I will take the risk to Bianca in the past but she rejected me okay? Me and Bianca are over and I dont like her. You are the one that I love.

Adie thought that Raiza will believe on what he said, but she didnt. Her nerves is so angry and got mad to Adie again.

Raiza: Oh so you really take the risk huh?! You are unbelievable Adie, You should love her than me, you have so many memories right?!

Adie:  How many times I'm gonna tell you that I am over to Bianca, I don't have feelings to her anymore I promise. I completely forget her and I will never approach her. Please believe on me.

Raiza: How can I trust you?  You are so disgrace to me Adie. How can you said that to me right now. You know that you have some memories with Bianca and you will said that you will take the risk to her?!

Adie:  You don't trust me right now? I always choose you Raiza in all times. I love you more than myself. We are completely over and things will not be back.

Raiza: I dont want to hear on what you said, I will not trust you anymore. Things will never be the same on what after you said.

Adie: What is your problem? Why dont you listen to me Raiza? Here we go again, we must enjoy the day today. Let's go there in the top of the hills, Let's eat first.

Scene 2 (Arguing)

Raiza and Adie is still not okay, they are not communicating. Adie uses his cellphone and Raiza got mad again because he is using cellphone.

Raiza: You know that we are together but you are using your cellphone. Are you dumb? You making me sick Adie my goodness!

Adie: What else can I do? You didnt talk to me because of Bianca. You are so complicated, all I do is wrong and you are always angry to me. What should I do to you?

Raiza: I'm so freaking bad Adie,  I cannot control myself right now. I am so dissapointed to you.

Adie: So,  what do you want to happen now?  I don't know what to do to you Raiza.

Are you having second thoughts on me? Do you think that I not love you?

Raiza: Hell yes, After you said earlier, I don't think that you love me. I hope you just go with her.

Adie is so angry inside but he remain to be patient. Adie never got angry to anyone especially to Raiza but she cross the line. Adie is so low confident on himself. She cannot handle the attitude of Raiza.

Adie:  Hold on a second, After all I do to you, how can you say things like that. You know what, fine, I dont want to be angry with you. Let's talk in a proper and let's be patient please I'm begging.

Raiza did not listen to Adie. She is like a thunderstorm to get angry. Her words are no limit and Adie is hurt.

Raiza: You are so stupid Adie, I'm not gonna tolerate you. I'm not gonna talk to you in a proper way.

Scene 3 (The Break up)

Adie got so mad and he cant control himself anymore. He say a words that he not completely saying in the past.

Adie: I'm starting to get consumed by anger because of you. I don't like what you're saying to me. If you did not trust and believe in me, we should break up. All I do is wrong and you are always angry. We should not see each other.

Raiza is speechless on what Adie said. She immediately gets emotional and say sorry to Adie.

Raiza: I'm sorry on what I said to you. I'm just angry to you because on what you did and what I did is not intenional to hurt you. I am truly sorry Adie.

Adie didnt listen to Raiza on what she did to him. He dont feel anything on Raiza because on what happened and what he say. His decision is final and will never be change.

Adie: My decision is final, I can't handle you and never listen to me. It is better to break up with you so you won't get mad at me anymore.

Raiza: Please I begging you don't break up with me, I'm so sorry on what I have done to you. I promise I will be better.

Adie is still did not listen to Raiza and he break up patiently because he dont want to shout and to get anrgry to Raiza.

Adie: I cannot do this anymore Raiza. We are hurting each other. I'm sorry Raiza. I just want to do what I want in my life. I can't hangout to my friends because I always choose you. I just want choose my self right now.

       : If I know this going to happen, I'd rather choose Bianca over you. You know that I love you but you're too much hurting me Raiza. Bianca is the one who understand me but we suddenly separate. I'm so sorry Raiza, take care of yourself

Raiza cried and she didnt believe what Adie said to her. She didnt know how much she hurt the feelings of Adie. Raiza walkout and leave Adie.

Scene 4 (The Freedom)

When Raiza leave, Adie is seemingly okay. He sit in the bench and take a deep breath.

Adie: (Adie take a deep breath)

           At least I say my side to her. I will be okay in the mean time. At least I will whenever I want and I have freedom!

When he is sitting, Shockingly, Bianca is there too when they are breaking up. She hears on what they are talking about. She also heard what Adie said that he wished, He was the only one she chose. When he saw Adie, she went and talk to him.

Bianca: Hey! Are you alright?

Adie is so speechless when he saw Bianca. It's like the first day when he in love with her. Bianca sit with Adie and they talk just like the old times. They are talking under the sun in the hills. Adie become okay when Bianca talked to him. Bianca opens up too that she heard the conversation of Raiza.

Bianca: Is that true what you said earlier from Raiza? You will choose me?

Adie: You are the who understand me Bianca. I dont know how I go with Raiza. Even though I explaining at her, she never listens to me. She is always angry with me so I decided to break up with her. She's even complaining about my friend either.

Bianca: Back before, what did I used to usually say to you? I always undestand you Adie. I always care for you even though we have some bad memories, I'm always here for you.

Adie: (Adie hold the hands of Bianca) Thank you for always Bianca. I appreciate you always. Thank you for being my side right now.

Adie is fine and as well as Bianca. They undertand each other and I'd rather they are happy in each other.

ok so before i say anything, i suggest a snack and a drink would be suitable because you'll be strapping in for a full length feature film of me going on and on about my wips.

Stackson but make it cowboys ig

THIS ONE, oh my god, where do i start... For one, this is deeply Brokeback Mountain inspired and Im in my cowboy phase real hard right now so that's also a big influencing factor of this wip existing. A lot of elements from the movie are in this fic like shepherding, rodeo, one has to sleep in a pup tent near the sheep, gay. So in this wip, Stiles is trying to make a name for himself as a bronc rider and he needs obviously another source of income so he's gone to drive cattle in this one ranch. However, that ranch was closing down since the rail was being built on it and the ranch owner accepted the hefty amount of compensation that he was offered. So he's sent to this other ranch, supposedly a friend of the ranchowners who needs a bit of help.

Who is this friend? David Whittemore, a rancher who looks more like a businessman than a rancher. He hires Stiles as a shepherd and this is also where he bumps into Jackson, who's setting himself up for the douche-canoe route with being his all-round asshole self. It's come to later know that Jackson is the other one going up to the sheep with Stiles. So at first, things are mostly kept to themselves, Stiles is spending more time with all 850 sheep than with Jackson, but he does try to spark conversation with Jackson during meals. It works and some conversations happened and apparently Jackson reins.

They make a bet, Jackson gets hurt after a spooked horse kicks him off, Stiles wins the bet, they get to eat something other than beans, Stiles cannot sleep as big thoughts about Jackson occupy his mind, he's having a two wolves moment, both of them want Jackson. There's a tense moment where it feels like they were about to kiss but no, but yes, but no again but yes finally and ive made an artistic decision of keeping the smut scenes fade to black because i want to incorporate more symbolism in my fics. (not because i dont want to write it, ill literally publish a directors cut of my wip with the smut parts in if anyone wants it lol)

Anyways, things go distant but as all emotional roadblocks that happen in complicated non-relationship relationships, horny is the ultimate big tidal wave and they go at it once more and there's no more promises that this would be a one night thing and for Stiles, he knew what the rest of his summer would be like.

And then the summer's over. Stiles suggests that he could do this again next summer, he's smitten, he wants to spend more time with Jackson and up on the mountains, it seemed like Jackson wanted to, too. Down on the ranch, infront of Stiles' truck however, it is not what Stiles expects. There's anger, hurt, a punch to the nose, insults, and finally, crying in a pulled over truck, both sides of the road covered with corn fields. Oh and there's also a desperate screaming at the sky moment.

Stiles thinks he would never see Jackson ever again but a time skip to a bronc rodeo later, he spots a familiar face in the crowd causing him to fall off the bucking bronc just shy of the eight second mark. It's Jackson and his stupid stetson cowboy hat and his stupid denim jacket and stupid smirk and stupid blue eyes. They meet again later that night in a local bar and it's kissing in the alleyway, confessions, apologies, a reignited love that makes its way to a motel room.

The next morning, Jackson once again having a crisis with his commitment issues is acting to leave the room when Stiles wakes up. The conversation starts off as an argument, Stiles wanted to know what he had done wrong to make Jackson act so 'cocky arrogant asshole' after the summer's end and after last night. Jackson breaks down, finally saying what was actually going (he's big time scared and he doesn't know how to normally cope with it so his solution is to unintentionally toy with stiles' emotions and then fuck off the face of the earth out of fear of being caught. His wants and his fear being in a headlock ever since they've started doing whatever this is.

so far this is how it's going for this wip, i dont plan much so the ending is still unknown but to compensate, here is a snippet of maybe one of the favourite things i have written in this wip so far.

so its pre-first time, just asking for consent here nothing too steamy but yknow... its giving internal pterodactly

“Do you…” Stiles trails off, catching his breath as did Jackson. He backs away as his hand grips the wristband of Jackson’s jeans. “I- I don’t know but… can you- can we?” For once, Jackson wasn’t saying anything that made Stiles want to shove a cactus up his ass. “Just today,” Stiles said, pulling Jackson’s jeans down to his knees. “Only today.” A promise that this was never going to happen again. A promise that tonight’s event would stay in tonight. He was sure that tonight was all he needed.

And now, moving on to, s2 alpha kanima Jackson

This wip was one of my failed attempts at making something for Jackson Week, which i mean, I did make but I didn't finish :(. The title is pretty self explanatory, its s2 alpha kanima jackson and starts off in the s2 finale where it is revealed angel style that Jackson was now an alpha kanima with wings, a clubbed tail, spikes.

in contrast to the whole essay i wrote for cowboy stackson (because thats the one im solely working on as of lately and am obsessed about) this wip does not have much to say about. Being a notorious pantser, i dont really know what i was going for with this because 1. i dont write things down and 2. how would future me know if past me knew but didnt write it down aka i love setting my future self up with some trouble (more wips) and make it double (the origins of said wip being a total mystery that only god knows now)

From what i remember, it's going to segway into post s2, pre s3a where most of it would take place. there would be a whole lot of shuffling things around, jackson's parents sorta have to come into the know, gerard needs to piss off, there's barely any resources on alpha kanimas and its not like theres a supernatural library and archive to get info from...(there is and there's two) (deaton + the argents) (but the argents are big anti-supernatural so just one supernatural library and archive)

whole fic basically would be on exploring alpha kanima jackson with subplot of rising tension as the alpha pack moves in. (spoiler alert: ppl can still take him over but it's harder but if they do the damage would be insurmountable and jackson doesnt want that to happen so he has to try and cooperate with the loser pack to stop it from happening)

There might also be a sprinkling of a shit ton of angst, remembering and recovering in this.

on to the last one, Jackson Isaac Stiles:

THIS ONE HAS THE BRITISH!ISAAC AGENDA!!!!!

Stiles is one of the few unlucky to be selected in an exchange program and another one to be selected was Jackson. They were going to go to a school in london for about a month as part of the program. Stiles and Jackson know each other and Jackson has this one-sided rivalry with Stiles who just loves annoying Jackson because he's just like a rooster (easy to irritate). At the british school, the whole group is split into duos and each duo is assigned a student from the school as their "tour buddy". Out of all 19 students that Jackson could be paired with, its Stiles. And the tour buddy assigned happens to be a tall kid by the name of Isaac. At first, Jackson doesn't want to get along with anyone but Isaac is quick to push him back into place and Jackson cooperates begrudingly.

Isaac's "tour buddy" roles include: give american kids tour of school, run down of subjects and what they're learning right now and to show them around the city and the culture ig.

So it's like a series of not-dates turning into dates almost every evening and weekend as they go to places in mostly London. They do head out of London for a beach vacation but its a stormy day so they dont end up doing the things they wanted to.

Back in beacon hills, Jackson and Stiles keep in touch with Isaac, however separately and Isaac becomes a mediator of Jackson and Stiles and he pretty much sets them up together from across the atlantic ocean. Stiles and Jackson dont know if they want it or not but they quickly come to know they're missing one thing and it's Isaac.

man, this was an awesome fic, and the art is one of the best i’ve seen, i just adore the style and the colors. i really loved the historical/tour parts, im not usually interested in history but this really felt like visiting a museum of sorts, and you peppered in enough freaky death facts to keep it interesting (lol). seriously, the case was really cool, technically run of the mill and yet somehow feeling fresh, maybe because of the setting or your writing, but it was really creative. when brian got possessed, i didnt see that coming at all! im glad elaine and dave survived cause they were wholesome, actual couple goals, visiting haunted locations with your significant other in your elderly age. i loved how sneaky dean was in the cell, getting roger to reveal some crucial facts, i liked the idea itself - sam and dean going to see ghosts off the clock lol and being the experts, that’s always something i enjoyed. i’ve visited a titanic remake of… sorts, anyway ive seen some boat engines and giant machinery rooms and this really brought me back. but what REALLY sold this fic for me was the brother banter bc you nailed it. some lines even made me laugh, and sam and dean were so canon like it was comforting to read about them, like it was an actual episode from their life. i loved how dean minded sam’s past trauma and how he joked but also did his best, in a dean way, to let sam know things were gonna be ok. i loved the ending with sam going to the hospital, and the ‘big guns’ being dean saying he’s not feeling so well himself - sdkjfdkm those two are ending me, stuck in an endless cycle of worrying about each other but ignoring their own issues. the hospital scene at the end was very soothing and sweet and overall it was just amazing, a great read with some unexpected (for me!) brother bonding and after-hunt scenes that we dont get to see on the show! :)

I’ve written Supernatural stuff for a while, but I did it in a different genre than usual, for a bang/challenge, and in a completely new setting, so I was nervous about posting it and having it come across correctly. Hi, Anon. Thank you so much for your ask! I had to really give this one a good think, so it took me a few days to answer it. Full disclosure: you've caught me at a weird point where I've been taking a break from fic reading/writing due to work, so I'm relying on my bookmarks and my own memory, and quite a lot of these are in line with my own personal preferences and/or written by my friends.

I do hope that you will like my choices and maybe explore some other fics written by these authors. I've avoided unfinished/WIP fics (this list is long enough as it is!), except for one, which I will indicate separately (and tell you why it's worth it). Mind the tags on some of these, because they can get super kinky!

1. Wistful is the rain by dana_norram. My favourite omegaverse fic. This one is so beautiful and angsty (but with a happy ending!). Basically it takes the entire lab scene, but adds the drama of an unexpected pregnancy in there. Also has some lovely art by eiseul! I also must recommend the author's other omegaverse fic birth among the ruins, it's just as good.

2. Pretty Woman Walking Down The Street by ejdominus. Also my favourite omegaverse fic (yes, I have two). This one I love because it turns typical alpha/omega dynamics on their head. Imagine alphaNicky picking up omegaJoe for a night of passion, but the night doesn't end the way you might think. The conversations they have are just as passionate as the actual sex, and I can't recommend this one enough.

3. Every You, Every Me by Sholeh675 (Solange956). This one I love, love, love for the story. It's got a great hook; what if infertile omega escort Nicky fell in love with his alpha client Joe while servicing his pregnancy kink? I know I just gave away the plot, but you simple have to read this just for the feels! There's angst, but also a happy ending.

4. Nextdoor A/B/O AU by loflight501. This one is an entire fic series, set in the great Kenzarelli Multiverse. So, while you do have Joe and Nicky in there, there are also other alpha/omega pairings for you to explore, based on Marwan's and Luca's other movie characters! I'm sure you'll find several new favourites just from this one alone.

5. The Breeding and The Royal Omega Contest by Kadma32. Yay, a two-for-one special! I love them because the backstories are so unique. The Breeding is set in a dystopian future, while Royal Omega Contest has a fantasy tinge to it. If you want your omegaverse with a bit of adventure, do give these a read.

6. A/B/O Joe and Nicky Modern AU by In_agony_and_ecstasy. This fic series stands out to me because it's written in first-person, which I normally avoid, but the story here was just so compelling. It's an exploration of their relationship all the way from bonding to baby (spoiler alert) and if you just want something sweet, you should give this a try.

7. Love At First Time by yonge_sonne. This one I would recommend if you want something fresh and kinky. I've never seen omegaverse written this way (with size differences!) but it's so hot and dirty, you definitely should check it out.

8. Marrow Bone by fishie_scribbles. This fic is a little edgy, but the story is so good! Nicky is locked in an unhappy marriage to a rich alpha, and seduces handsome milkman Joe. There is angst but also hot, hot sex. If you want omegaverse with a dark twist, please give this one a read.

9. Milk and Honey by Claire. A loving fic of Joe satisfying Nicky's heat during some downtime in between missions. This one also has some lovely art by eiseul included. And, I have to recommend the author's omegaverse stick figure drawings! They're simple adorable!

10. Repair a heart by Mother_Of_Hedgehogs. This story is so fluffy and sweet. Alpha repairman Joe takes a job in the home of single omega dad Nicky, and immediately begins pining after him. So what will happen when Nicky suddenly goes into heat? Obviously, there is a happy ending here, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

11. A Different Kind Of Craving by sparkliblue. This hot fic has a super pregnant Nicky basically jumping on Joe's knot, so definitely give this one a read. What makes this one stand out to me (aside from the obvious) is that this omega Nicky has a vagina, which I've not seen much of in omegaverse. But also super hot!

12. Permanence by elii. This one-shot is about Joe marking Nicky back in their early days, when they think that the mark won't be permanent (but turns out, it is). More than the sex, it's the dialogue I love in this one. It's so mushy and sweet!

13. just go now just go go go by everyshootingstar. Ohmaigawd, this fic. It's basically alpha Nicky going into a rut, and he has to confess to alpha Joe that actually he doesn't want an omega, but instead he craves another alpha. There is no sex here, but there is comfort, and something about this one gives me such feels.

14. Your fill of love by nolimepercipere. Ah, this fic is super cute and super yummy (there are three recipes included at the end). Basically alpha Joe ends up feeding his pregnant omega neighbour Nicky, and they fall in love throughout the course of the story. It's so cute, I recommend it for the tender loving romance.

And finally, a WIP fic I love with all my heart. The author is taking a break currently, but you should definitely follow this one, because it's worth waiting for.

15. Backwards by TheLoveliestCrime. Beta Joe falls in love with omega Nicky, who is a surrogate for Joe's friends Andy and Quynh. That's the surface plot, but I promise you, if you want something different from your usual alpha-omega storylines, please consider this beta-omega romance, which really questions the whole idea of fated pairs. The characters are so well-written and the story so well-developed, it made my heart squeeze multiple times.

These are just a few of the omegaverse JoeNicky fics I love, there are so many more, but I left them out as they are WIPs. I would still recommend that you explore the tag and hopefully pick up some and maybe poke the authors into continuing them. 😈

hi, im cee (26) and im looking for a long term 1x1 rp partner! i have a specific plot idea or two in mind that i've been really wanting to do, so id love to find a partner for it! 🐈‍⬛

the main plot ive wanted to do is royalty omegaverse. your character has taken over my char's kingdom in war, and claimed the prince as a war prize. he is, however, a rather pitiful man, making it rather difficult to be mean to him as one might plan to be. this plot can also work with your char being a prince, and the leader giving my char to yours as a husband. i'm open to swapping some details around, as long as the "war prize" jist stays.

my idea with this story would be more of a romance story, hurt and comfort, healing from past traumas, that sort of thing. id also love political drama, troubles within your character's kingdom that these two have to sort out - or anything with a lot of drama, angst, and high stress emotions, really. i'd especially love if this was set in omegaverse reversal, where alphas are lower class and omegas are upper class. ive been wanting to play with that dynamic.

(im also fine with it if you want to be mean to him, or even something like they go from enemies to lovers!! im really open honestly)

the oc i plan to use is an alpha catboy. he's got a nice face and is quite anxious. he has a defined personality, appearance, and backstory. i also have a lot of side characters from his past that can be relevant. overall i love to rp as men with problems, and exploring deep emotions and stressful situations for characters.

i mostly play domtop, with occasional subtop. i dont like pure smut rps, but i dont want to only fade to black - please be ok with writing scenes or ftb if scenes are frequent.

additionally, this rp will require you to be into things like worldbuilding, playing npcs, and being willing to toss in villain characters. i can and will do all of this too (prepare for me to come up with questions about your kingdom that you'd never expect), but you also have to put this stuff in.

why steve rogers returning to the past was wrong

disclaimer: im clearly a stucky enthusiast, but please, do not be thrown off by that. i admit, there may be undertones of bias because of that in the following, but i did my best with trying to lay out the facts and draw logical conclusions, so do please give me a chance. also, i may have accidentaly omitted some moments and some quotes may not be 100% word for word, as my memory lowkey sucks. ALSO this is NOT a peggy hate post!! i think shes a dope and underrated character and quite frankly she was done dirty. but i also definitely h8 the trope of badass woman falls for the hero.

first and foremost, every sane person knows endgame was complete and utter bullshit when dealing with steves character, so this post will be more for you to maybe show (and hopefully convince) some stubborn friend or family member. nice, concise (not) and including proof from the movies (+a few tweets and stucky undertones, if u dont fw that i respect it but bucky is an integral part to steves character regardless of how u interpret their relationship) here is why steves character development was thrown away at the end of endgame.

let us begin at looking at the cap trilogy.

in ca:tfa it should be noted that steve had no one to return to in the 40s, except bucky. i believe steves relationship with peggy was no where near as developed as it should have been to elicit him returning exclusively for her. as we are aware, steves driving force has absolutely always been bucky. bucky was there for steve after his parents died, when he was sick, and always protected him from whatever trouble he got himself into. "until the end of the line" right? steves relationship with peggy was forced and short lived, literally, we're talking a matter of months here. i need to keep emphasising the important disparity between bucky and peggy, as it is absolutely key in this whole argument. steve dropped everything and went against every order just to even attempt to save bucky. even the slightest chance of him surviving being captured was enough for steve to break into a hydra camp and free the 107th division. steve even had the chance to capture zola, one of the main villains and masterminds of the war, but again, steve prioritised bucky. when theyre trying to escape the exploding hydra camp, the exchange between steve and bucky is critical. steve says "go! get out of here!" as all he wanted was bucky escaping safely. he put bucky's life over his own (this wasnt the first time he did this, nor the last) but bucky rooted himself to the spot, and yelled back "no, not without you!". they both escaped safely as we know, and then steve gathers the howling commandos to take down the red skull. bucky then falls off the train, nd steve blames himself for his death, even visibly crying over it twice. steves morals went from "i dont wanna kill anyone. i dont like bullies, i dont care where theyre from" before buckys death, to "i wont stop until all of hydra are dead or captured" after. stuff happens and steve defeats the red skull and is now in control of the flying ship with the bombs. he connects the comms with peggy and she tries to convince him theres another way to disarm the ship. steve was so dedicated at that point he didnt even want to hear it. he didnt even attempt to do anything to ensure his survival. this alone proves, peggy was not important enough to him to return to.

next is ca:tws. The stevebucky movie. in the museum, peggy confirms that steve saved the man from the 107th division who eventually became her husband (steve was never in the 107th, just to clarify) i believe her husbands name was daniel sousa (as revealed in the marvels agents of shield show) steve then finds out peggy is alive and talks to her. she, in short, tells him she's lived her life, and it was his turn to live his in the time hes in. the "my best girl" line was unnecessary and out of place; again, steve barely knew her. again, shit goes down, and steve finds out the winter soldier is bucky and immediately drops everything, and becomes dead set on saving him. not killing, not imprisoning, but saving him. no matter the cost. "he saw me, and he didnt even know me" "hes not the kind you save, hes the kind you stop. he won't recognise you" "he will." god, steve KNEW bucky would recognise him. regardless of the brainwashing, steve managed to break through the barrier hydra fought so hard to drill into buckys mind. nothing ever broke him out of that state exept for steve. "im not gonna fight you, youre my friend." "youre my mission" "then finish it. cos im with you till the end of the line." [[good fucking lord let me break out of my essay-esque semi professional format here and just say how fucking heartbreaking those lines are. oh my god. read them, over and over until it hits you.]] steve shows us again, that he is willing to not only die for bucky, but literally die by his hand. he would let bucky kill him. he'd dropped his shield. he didnt fight back. steve always, always, ALWAYS got up and fought back. always. exept that time. the time bucky could have killed him. that scene is the essence of "im with you till the end of the line" because then, it was true. it was true because steve was okay with dying at buckys mercy. theres a difference between sacrificing yourself for the greater good (steve going into the ice), willing to die for someone (steve risking his life multiple times in attempts to save bucky) and finally, being willing to let someone kill you, because you love and trust them so much (hellicarier scene). the difference between peggy and bucky's relationship to steve is that steve may be willing to die for either, but only willing to be killed by one. not to mention, bucky pulled steve from the river. he recognised him. steve broke through 70 years of brainwashing with such impact it literally drove bucky away from hydra out of his own free will.

in between ca:tws and ca:cw its confirmed (im p sure sam says it) that him and steve looked for bucky for two. years. even off screen, bucky was steves priority.

im going to squeeze in 2 points from from age of ultron here, for chronology's sake:

steves worst nightmare, as portayed in the movie, is LITERALLY going back to the 40s and being stuck there (with peggy too??lmfao) and also the quote "family, stability, the man who wanted all that went in the ice 75 years ago. i think another one came out." objectively confirms that steve isn't the man he used to be, and doesnt want to return to the past. aou may have sucked, but that doesn't mean the character development should be thrown away.

ca:cw. hoo boy. steve went against 117 countries and half of his closest friends and colleagues because he believed bucky was innocent of the bombing of the un conference. god, steve quite literally, did everything to defend and protect bucky. though i shall acknowledge that steve did attend peggy's funeral, however, there was no real connotations there other than the fact he was mourning her death (understabdibly so). steve then proceeds to protect bucky for 2 hours 27 mins and 41 seconds to the point where they escape together to siberia after the airport fight. "i dont know if im worth all this steve" "what you did all those years... it wasnt you. you didnt have a choice." "i know. but i did it" again, absolutely heartbreaking quotes if you read it a couple of times and truly understand the meaning of them. steve somewhat indirectly tells bucky yes, yes he is worth all of this. otherwise, he wouldn't be doing it. a quote to support that would be "for the longest time, i always did what i thought was right." (disclaimer this is not a direct quote i deadass couldnt find it to save my life, i belive steve said it at some point during civil war or tws, but the point is, bucky is the only thing that could have shaken steves morals so intensely.) and finally, the most important part of cw, the fight at the end with tony. bucky and steve constantly protected each other. steve kept fighting because he was fighting for bucky. to keep him safe from tony and the world. he got up, time and time again. "i can do this all day." the fact that he said that to tony, some people consider them the closest of friends, proves again, a million times over, bucky is more important to steve than literally anything else, INCLUDING his shield. his mantle. he dropped it and left it like it was nothing, because his priority was bucky. as always.

theres not much to discuss for infinity war other than their hug whicg was honestly just adorable.

mmmmm endgame. i will not go into how much i hate that movie because it would be a rant quintuple the length of this one. in the support group, steve dead ass fucking says "you gotta move on. you gotta move on" and that sentiment was literally forgotten at the end. my main point for endgame is this. people tend to tell me, the reason steve abandoned bucky and went back to be with peggy is because he knew that he was finally safe. :/. if you had half a braincell youd know that's not true. the steve we know, never would have left bucky for good, ESPECIALLY after the "dont do anything stupid until i get back" exchange [[god i want to beat the shit out of the r*ssos]] mostly because, bucky had fucking no one in the time he was living in!!! no family, no friends and most heartbreakingly, no one he could trust. (yes sam was there but were just seeing their friendship develop now in tfatws, all that wasnt there in endgame) and secondly, what made steve think bucky was entirely safe??? half of the worlds population just suddenly reappeared, which as we see now, there were massive consequences for that. i simply believe steve is not that stupid. steve going back was disrespectful not only to his character, but to bucky AND peggy. most importantly, the steve we've been watching since 2011 would NEVER abandon bucky, no matter how safe he thought he was (he visited him frequently in wakanda, the safest place on the planet arguably ffs) especially for such a dumbass and quite frankly, nonsensical reason as going back to be with peggy, who clearly stated to him she moved on, and so should he (which he did. idk endgame writers prolly didnt watch the previous movies :/) its not even debatable. bucky is more important to steve than peggy. even in terms of screentime.

now allow some tweets to speak for me, this one being the absolute most important one:

and now finally, id like to briefly mention steve and tfatws, so beware of spoilers (writing this as of ep 4 coming out; praying it doesn't age badly)

bucky mentions steve, unprompted, fucking constantly. he clearly isnt over steve leaving, and im hoping that gets acknowledged and talked out in the show.

in conclusion, tl:dr, steve shouldn't have returned to the past and stayed there, it is contrary to who he is, as shown to us through his trilogy and other appearances in the mcu. not to mention the timeline bullshit in endgame makes zero sense in the first place.

ahh look i‘m rereading the death cure (well actually i‘m carefully setting in again where i stopped reading last summer bc it was too painful but nevermind) and it‘s just hitting me again how they in the movies clean switched the „screen“-time newt and minho had in the books.

it‘s newt who‘s gone, minho who gives everything to get him back. minho who is the one who‘s perfectly clear on doing whatever it takes to get newt back, not the other way around (even though that particular scene was cut from the movie as well, argh).

i just like how in the books it‘s more about them as a… group? maybe that‘s simply a product of a movie being shorter and more clearly told through the main character‘s pov — or all scenes and plotlines needing to have a relatively clear tie to the mc.

well. here‘s to the newt and minho we didn‘t get in the movies. (and to us never being able to know what role race played in this.) (were this a post i‘d have put the last part in the tags but here parentheses will have to do) *raises a sad glass*

we've had long discussions about it so I won't rehash everything here, but, I 100% agree with these observations and have so many other feelings behind this.

I was about to get into a very very large rant about the movies and James Dashner, but, I just don't know if I ever feel like unloading those thoughts on here. To put it briefly, I am dubious of the intentions of James Dashner in propelling Newtmas (especially since it seems very aptly timed to distract from the accusations against him during the metoo movement), and I find it highly suspect how much Newt and Minho were switched.

To the latter point, not a radical point, but I feel there's a lot of evidence of queerbaiting in the third movie. If you watch the way Newt is filmed, he is treated like a YA love interest in film. Frequently you can see the whole length of his body, the long line of his legs. If I remember correctly, he has the most outfit changes in the movies, or at least outfit deviations. (I could remember wrong, I admittedly was drunk last time I was counting). He is often one of the best lit even if he's not important to the scene. The proximity to Thomas is frequent. I can't claim to know much about how the movies were made, but I swear to God if you switched him out with a woman, there would be no doubt in anyone's mind that he'd appear to be the dominant love interest because of how he is filmed. And they never had any intention of changing the books and making Newtmas canon, so, I think it was for queerbaiting purposes.

And unfortunately, in their intentions to queerbait, they also erased Minho. So, in order to commit one thing that pisses me off about the movies, they committed another (and they committed another in the fact that they make Thomas a quintessential protagonist with no guilt, but whatever, and another in what they do to the women, moving on). And, before I say far too much more, it bothers me. It really, really bothers me.
