I was scrolling through Twitter/X, laughing and giggling at the cute DamiAnya and Loid tweets from the recent chapter 95, when I stumbled on a tweet about Arnold Crowley.

Btw, Arnold is one of the character I'm looking forwad meeting the most because he's the top scorer in the classical language test. His score must be 90 or above, which is kinda insane when we know classical language is a dead language and barely taught anymore. I previously made a theory that the reason why Anya is so good at classical language is because she came from Covenia, the equivalent of Romania irl; which language derived from Latin language. That's why I was intrigued with Arnold Crowley; I want to know how is he able to beat Anya's score. Like, did he come from the same place as Anya, or, does his family have a medical/researcher background; stuffs like that

Anyway, back to the tweet. Some people are weirded out with Arnold Crowley's hairstyle, which is not surprising, because me too.

I clicked the comments when I saw this.

Suddenly everything about Arnold clicked. Why I feel weirded out not just from his hairstyle, but also from his bow tie (which reminds me of a moth's wing pattern). Why his polite demeanor is lowkey making me uneasy. Why he is so interested to meet the runner-up of his strong subject. Why he is so good at classical language.

I was scared. I am scared.

But I was still excited to learn that Crowley was a real person, so I googled him just to make sure.

And here I was so excited with Arnold's appereance, I even joked he'd become Anya's new classmate or even the 2nd ML, lol. But now? I'm really not sure. I better keep an eye on him from now on.

apparently not as you waited at the parking lot, checking your phone every few seconds waiting for your friend to arrive to pick you up.

you squatted down as fatigue took over your body and knocked you to the ground. you sighed, not even bothering to move.

just then, your phone vibrated in your pocket as you pick up the call. "jiwon! where the hell are you, i'm fucking starving!"

"uh... i might not be able to make it, heh." your eyes widen as you silently cried. fuck it's already 11pm, who's gonna take you home now???

you decided to sit there and cry your ass off until a miracle happened, which it did. you cried and whispered words of curses directed to your supposed 'best friend'.

"waaa, that stupid bimbo... i bet she ditched me 'cuz she's hooking up with some man whore," "who did?" you jumped as you looked to your right.

wooyoung then laughed as you stared at him like he was on something, "ah- sorry, i've just never met a fan like this before! wait, you're an atiny, right?"

you nodded, face still red from embarrassment. "what are you doing out here at," you glance at your phone, "almost 12am?" wooyoung shook his head, "no, what are YOU doing out here? and why are you on the ground crying????"

you explained your situation to wooyoung as you cursed your friend in anger. you also told him that she hooks up with the randomest dudes ever and worst of all, she's your roommate.

the miracle finally happened when wooyoung offered to drive you back, not mentioning that he was with his members too.

as you approached the black van, he opened the passenger door, pulling san out and shoving him in the back. you side-eyed wooyoung as he kicked and shoved san into the back, no explanation.

"yah! jung woo- ow, don't kick me!"

"what the fuck are you doing???"

the members clamoured as they adjusted their seating due to the extra fatso being shoved in. extra fatso as in choi san of course!

"you saw nothing!" wooyoung exclaimed happily as he opened the passenger door for you, you got in and sat awkwardly as the members gawked at you.

maybe you should've stayed outside until you got kidnapped by a sexy man/ woman and lived in their basement forever, okay maybe it wasn't that bad.

"uh, who are you?" okay maybe it was that bad.

"uh-" wooyoung got into the driver's seat and started the car, "our little atiny's friend dumped her on the streets so we're gonna take her home!" ouch, why's he word it like that???

suddenly your phone rang. for the first time ever, you thanked jiwon for calling you at a random time. wooyoung put on some music and started driving, "oh- right, where do you live?"

the members tease wooyoung for his stupidity as you entered a location on the gps, then answering the phone. "hello- what?"

the members eyed each other quietly as they, not very discreetly, listened in on your conversation. not like they couldn't, right?

"what did you say just now?" "uh- so my hookup might've stolen your yeosang photocard." you gasped so loud. wooyoung looked over, "what, what is it?"

"oh. my. GOD! KIM JIWON, HOW MANY TIMES DID I TELL YOU TO FUCK OUT OF MY SPACE!? I LOCK THE DOOR FOR THAT DAMN REASON HOW DID THIS HAPPEN??"

the members eyes widen with curiosity, silently rooting for you as you screamed at your 'friend' on the phone. unlucky day it was.

you hung up, turning to wooyoung, " actually, take me here instead." you enter another location. "what- wait why, what happened?"

then began your rant of your slut of a roommate. how she was messy, never giving you space and always up your ass about everything. you also mentioned that you were finding a new apartment so you could finally get away from her.

"what! that's so insane, she let the guy sleep naked on the couch??" seonghwa cringed in disgust. "yeah, he was so damn ugly too." san snorted and laughed, "i even have a picture, you wanna see???"

the rest of the car ride was filled with gasps and 'no way!'s and 'omg's and more! but of course, the boys deliver you to your location safely and you've never felt happier.

lighting & basic photography skills ofc apply to gaming photography, so fiddle around with the weather & lighting/time with a mod like KreatE or Photo Mode. you can also use the freefly cam SKSE plugin instead of Photo Mode if you wish (you can use both at once, check the Photo mode description about the compatibility tho).

(btw if you use the freeze time for everywhere (or somethin like that) setting in KreatE, you will get an infinite loading screen if you try to travel somewhere else, so make sure you disable that before doing so!)

My bio/about page has the info you need but i'm due to make an update post anyways since im bored as shit :^D

My modwatch list has the mods i currently have in-game & i pretty much try to get it up to date. The Modlist tab on that site is meant to be read from bottom to top, idk why the site does that - probably to show what overrides what. BTW tick the Inactive Mods box under the modlist tab, then CTRL+F for "separator" & you'll find some organized stuff thru that. just be sure to read above the separator.

^ i'll probably make a google doc/spreadsheet later to make it easier to read since some of the mods are all over the place in my list cause of wanting to override certain things. plus that modwatch list is so overwhelming especially since i have like 1400+ active mods wtf 💀

Skyland AIO <- Enhanced Rocks and Mountains (for the fixes) <- Rapid Rocks, Skyrim 3D Rocks, slightly Better Rock Cairns you can also use Majestic Mountains if you prefer the textures but idk, i had issues so i switched to using ERM and Skyland's mountain textures

if you just want to use one singular retexture mod, Skyland AIO or Skyrim 202X are your best bets since they cover almost everything, it also depends on what style you want. yah!

Treeeeees:

Nature of the Wild Lands <- Traverse the Ulvenwald you can use one of either the two tree mods but i use both to make my computer suffer because i couldn't decide on the two. plus makes very dense forests with the additional trees the two mods adds but there will be bugs in-game such as floating trees (rarely), two trees in one spot. the latter can be fixed with bashed patches, if you're familiar with those. also using Cathedral Assets Optimizer to downscale the tree models & textures to 1k/2k can alleviate frame drops & ur computer crying (unless youre in like falkreath)if u dont want either of those, there's performance friendly trees such as fabled forests, happy little trees, aspens ablaze, or blubbo's trees etc

Grass:

QW's Grass Patch 2 + Origins of Forest - 3D Grass Reduced (loaded after the grass patch in the plugins section) <- ENB Complex Grass patches

Plants & flowers:

Plant-specific retextures e.g Mari's flora, Cathedral <- Blubbo's Shrub Replacer <- Less Ugly Tundra Grass <- TB's 3D Nettles, TB's Better Ferns (i didnt realize these models were everywhere until i used this LMAO), etc.

there are also the dumb niche things i download that override these textures like chains (or bloody rags. fucking. bloody. rags. or fuckin garlic.).

again, go thru my modwatch list if you want to snoop around. ctrl+f the term "-Misc Retextures & Replacers_separator"

Wah tumben sekali Noni Sabtu siang duduk depan laptop di desk di rumah untuk… menulis. Iya, ini awal mulanya kepikiran apa yang akan ditulis ini gara-gara tadi pagi habis Subuh susah buat tidur lagi. Nggak tahu yang mana yang sebab dan yang mana yang akibat: apakah aku kepikiran hal ini karena susah tidur(?), atau apakah karena kepikiran jadi susah tidur(?). Sepertinya lebih ke yang ke-2 yah. Tapi ada culprit lain sih selain thoughts: KOPI. Semalam nakal minum segelas kopi pas buka (KARENA PENGEN BANGEETTTT), berujung ku baru tidur jam 1.30… Bangun buat sahur 04.20 dan itu pun udah ngap-ngapan sahurnya kayak balapan karena jam 04.49 udah Subuh.

Iya. Jadi ku lagi mikirin tentang “mikir”. Wkwkw. Semoga gak bingung. Awal mulanya, ku being the overthinker that I am, memutuskan buat repost ada suatu post gitu tentang bahaya dari hampers. Aku sendiri termasuk salah satu yang tidak pernah terlibat dan tidak terbiasa dengan konsep hampers  lebaran sih. Pernah ngirim kue sekali doang ke Vannia, kubeliin dari Oxford pake tokped, itu juga out of keisengan aja: “ah gapapa kali-kali buat keluarganya Vannia senang”. Iya, tapi sudah cukup banyak juga percakapan di sosial media teman-teman mutualku terkait “aku nggak ngepos hampers yah, karena takut banyak mudorotnya”. Terus aku sempat bingung: mudorot gimana deh. Oh, ternyata karena nanti akan menimbulkan kecemburuan sosial lah, hampersnya kurang mahal lah, dsb (jujur gak relate). Sampai ada juga yang ngepos bilang dia bisa habis Rp 150 JUTA buat hampers doang??? Aku makin ??? Kultur apa ini???? Apakah ini adalah KPOP???

Iya, dari situ-lah ku jadi mikir tentang what I feel towards hampers (btw oot tapi barusan googling hampers ini artinya tuh keranjang ye, kaya picnic basket gitu). Intinya aku mah orangnya sangat demokratis: “do whatever you want as long as you don’t merugikan orang lain” aja.

Nah, dari hampers ini singkat cerita ku jadi mikirin konsep “gift and gift-giving”, gimana ku ngerasa uneasy banget kalau dibayarin cowok makan on a date misalnya, atau dikasih hadiah. Setelah ngobrol sama teman, apparently ada WHOLE study on this di anthropology & social sciences, terutama berangkat dari sejarah gimana Western settler dikasih hadiah sama Indian tribes dulu pas sampai di New World, dan arti (nuances) dibalik itu semua. Terus ku juga jadi keingetan tulisan Elizabeth Pisani di Indonesiaetc-nya yang bahas gimana gift ngasih buffalo kalau ada orang dari clan lain yang meninggal itu ada aturan adatnya sendiri di Sumba. Terus kepikiran juga gimana sebetulnya gift dan gift-giving ini sangat dekat dengan korupsi, konsep balas budi, dan semacamnya.

Buset gw mau ngomong aja intronya panjang bener ye, padahal sering banget ngomen tulisan orang “ini intronya kayanya nariknya kejauhan deh”. (OH! Btw, duh maap OOT lagi, tapi emang neurodivergent brain kaya gini nih otaknya kemana-mana. Mau sharing aja, berhubungan dengan ini, kemarin ku habis dari exhibitionnya Bodleian Library judulnya “Write, Cut, Rewrite” https://visit.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/cut dan di situ di-display gimana penulis-penulis hebat sepanjang masa nge-edit tulisan mereka. Sampai ada the infamous phrase: “KILLING YOUR DARLINGS” yang bilang kalau inti dari menulis itu most of the time adalah: MENGHAPUS/DELETING & EDITING).

Baik, kembali lagi ke topik. IYAAA intinya habis ngepos semua pemikiran-pemikiran di atas, ku mendapat reply “buset lo apa-apa dipikirin yah”. Awalnya ku bingung, mikir (lol gini aja udah mikir lagi): “is this a compliment? Should I get offended by these words? Am I supposed to hate this reply? Or embrace it?”

To that reply I said: “Mikir adalah satu-satunya skill (dan hobi?) yang bisa ngebawa gw sampe ke Oxford sini HUHU”.

Which is not bad I think? And also true?? (I will let the reader judge)

Kemudian ku jadi mikir tentang konsep mikir/berpikir itu sendiri. Ini naïve thinking banget sih, tapi ku yakin semua orang pada dasarnya pasti berpikir??? Mungkin substansi pikirannya aja yang berbeda: mikirin nanti malam makan apa, mikirin anak sekolah bayarnya gimana, mikirin orang tua sakit, mikirin harta warisan (ku lagi nonton SUCCESSION sumpah seru abis).

Terus ya yaudah ku jadi yakin yang bisa bikin orang berada di tempatnya sekarang adalah: apa yang dia pikirkan dan seberapa serius/intens dia mikirin hal itu. Ku ngerjain PhD sekarang ya karena ku mikirin geologi/geokimia segitunya, orang kerja di consulting gajinya gede banget karena dia mikirin… finance(?), business(?) – I have no freaking idea what consultants do, kalian ada yang lagi ambil master sekarang di antah berantah ya karena kalian mikirin dengan sangat keras: mau lanjut kuliah di mana ya, pake beasiswa apa, ngerjain project apa. Ya manusia/humane aja gaksih mikir tuh???

Dari situ dibalas lagi sama teman itu “tapi jadi burden gak sih?”. Nah, di sini ku mau mulai masuk agak mengkritisi budaya mikir kita di Indo. Menurutku mikir/overthinking nggak selamanya harus jadi burden. Bisa aja mikirin sesuatu terus dijadikan thinking exercise aja??? Misal barusan ku habis mikirin (for 5 minutes): “kenapa ya Bahasa Indonesia kosakatanya jauh lebih sedikit dibandingkan Bahasa Inggris?” yang lagi rame di twitter gara-gara podcast2an IndahG sama CintaLaura itu. Terus untuk sementara jawaban yang kutemukan dan percayai: sesederhana karena Bahasa Indonesia umurnya masih pendek aja dibandingkan Bahasa Inggris yang sudah berevolusi ratusan tahun.

Aku salah satu yang ngerasa helpful banget ngejadiin mikir ini budaya di diriku sendiri. Ku jadinya juga kalau ketemu orang yang rude sama aku misalnya, yaudah tinggal mikir aja “kenapa ya dia kaya gitu?” terus jawabannya bisa ranging dari: emang dia lagi having a bad day aja (misal: anaknya sakit tapi kerjaan lagi banyak makanya nggak sempat basa-basi politeness) sampai ya emang dia mungkin gak suka aja personally sama aku. Terus bahkan dari opsi spektrum yang sangat luas itu, bisa dipikirin lagi probabilitasnya opsi mana yang paling likely. "Oh kayanya gak mungkin deh dia gaksuka sama aku, kan kita baru ketemu sekali ini, dia gaakan punya data points yang cukup untuk bikin prejudice apapun terhadap diriku ini." Atau bisa juga: "oh iya kayanya dia gaksuka sama aku karena aku berhijab ya, mereka kan rasis." I don’t know. There are SO MANY OPTIONS. Dan itu semua bisa dilatih dengan mikir, kadang jawabannya bahkan bisa kombinasi dari semua options/hypotheses kita, instead of believing one unique solution. Atau bisa juga bahkan jawabannya sama sekali BUKAN/nggak ada di list hypotheses kita.

Yang kadang jadi masalah banget juga buat orang kita kayanya adalah keniscayaan bahwa semua pertanyaan/pemikiran itu harus ada jawabannya. Ku kayanya udah pernah nulis ini ya, tapi lama banget beberapa tahun yang lalu. Sistem sekolah kita mewajibkan kita untuk milih di pilihan ganda (ini karena keterbatasan resources sih, rasio guru dan siswa kecil banget), dan atau bahkan jawaban essay pun selalu ada “kunci jawaban”-nya. Jadinya seolah-olah kalau “mikir” tuh harus yang ada ultimate solutionnya gitu. Padahal mah kalau mau mikir buat exercise ya mikir aja??? Tanpa harus tahu di ujung jawabannya apa. Intinya kita pursuing the answer kan.  WKWKW paragraph ini betul-betul perwujudan aku PhD yang pada akhirnya gatau jawabannya apa tapi gapapa yang penting sudah berusaha.

How much gore can you stand in writing? I know you're studying to be paramedic, but with time, I noticed it's just different as text and looking at it through screen. I can barely stand to see dissection in person, but reading it (often through medical mysteries involving ER and detailed autopsies or operations) is another matter. I can just read it through pages or watch a very visual show. Just not that smell, lol (see? Squishy is just as crazy as you. And i warn you, i will bite. Love bites with my two vampire teeth.) Anyway, and will we ever get those kinds of food writing?

Oooo ok so. Real life, love gore. I freak people out when I say this but the property my family owned for a long time used to be a goat farm. I’d play with goat skulls for ages as a kid. My uncle is also a very Austrian farmer and would literally butcher anything he could eat for dinner. My dad was a biology teacher in a high school for years and as a kid I’d dissect any dead things I found for fun. I actually found two dead fliddler rays at the beach yesterday and had an awesome time looking at them.

I also lovvvve dissecting stuff at uni (you’re right about it the smell tho that shit stinks) it’s so fun I have so many pictures of my dissections on my phone. I also had leg surgery as a kid and one of my scars went necrotic, that was fun. I got to stick my fingers in rotting, black flesh to apply silver nitrate cream :,) ahhh memories

In whump, I don’t really write as much gore, cause I don’t really write stories like that much. However, for a few months now I’ve been working on the origin of Enjar, and telling the story of how he got his scars. I wouldn’t say it’s massively gorey, but hoooooo boy it gets gross. Also the medical malpractice is soooo bad in that story poor En is gonna go through it.

I do have multiple stories in progress and a ton of backlog I just haven’t had the time or energy to edit, but some of it is gorey. I do wanna write some really gorey stuff, which I’ll do when I get around to writing Cameron and Keh-yah again. Keh-yah is tortured terribly it’s gonna get gorey.

The only thing I will never write is a plane crash. My aunt was killed in one, and there was one that impacted my community pretty badly this year, and really put me off writing whump for a while hence the lack of updates (I am writing again I just haven’t edited shit lmao). It just doesn’t feel right to do plane crashes. I might write one eventually, maybe as a tribute to her or The Long Dark (fucken great video game btw) but it’ll be a while, idk. Also I’ve said before I’d never base a story off my patients that I end up having cause that’s super fucked up to do. Ethically that’s so gross

But I’m super into gore otherwise, and would love to write more :)))
