I loved your drawing(and I love your style in general) with Leia in your recent post! If/when you have time can we see more of her in your style? I get so happy whenever I actually see people mention/talk about her and she’s not just forgotten because we didn’t get to see much of her. 😭

thank you! 💙💙💙 Leia/Leah/Lea/whatever is fascinating to me. she is the ultimate unknown. what was she like? how involved (or even aware of any details of the invasion) was she? Silver's basically a physical carbon copy of his biodad, so what did he get from her? like, I understand why the two of them kind of have to stay as these super vague and mysterious figures -- the whole point of them is that their story ended 400+ years ago and they're not really relevant anymore (and. well. the more that gets explained about them, the less that can just kinda be handwaved as "oh the politics were Very Messy") (we can sit here and theorize all day but let us acknowledge that, ultimately, canon gave us almost nothing about them post-Meleanor and we'd just be making things up). I do still wonder about her though! RIP Lea, we never knew you and we probably never will.

how do you feel about paycheck? (Chance x elliot

I personally only see it platonically, but I can kind of see the appeal?

I imagine it as Chance used to date a certain ice guy who never worked for his money, just took and took from chance and was overall a horrible guy.

Then with Elliot, it’s the polar opposite. Someone who works for their wealth, gives gifts to chance as well as being absolutely grateful when chance gets them something, and Elliot being a really good person.

You know, it’s healing for Chance to finally be with someone who actually loves him.

And on Elliot’s side, he has someone who pays for his pizzas, appreciates him a lot and chance is a good, funny guy to be around.

And when Elliot gets him something Chance is so surprised and grateful cause he got absolutely nothing from ITrapped, so he doesn’t expect anything.

Soooo yeah I can see the dynamic and appeal, but just as friends :)

no literally!! i think the way i worked it out, bug will be around 3 when baby brother is born, but still insanity!!!!! like i imagine robby’s reaction going something like this:

“She’s pregnant? Again?” Robby looks exhausted at the thought

Jack lets out a laugh, not looking up from his paperwork, “Yeah, again.”

“You are aware that you’re going to be fifty- like soon. Right?”

Finally, Jack looks up at him, “Unfortunately, yeah. I’m aware.”

Robby sighs, holding his hands up in mock surrender, “No offense, it’s just-“ he shakes his head, “You’re gonna be, fuck, nearly seventy by the time their old enough to even be out of the house?”

Jack feels and looks annoyed now, “What the fuck are you trying to get at?”

“How the hell are you going to keep up with them? With her?”

Robby looks genuine, and Jack can see the stressed look in his eyes.

It makes him laugh, loudly.

“Trust me buddy,” He pats his friend on the arm, leaning closer to his ear as his voice drops slightly, “that woman keeps me young. She and I’ll be just fine.”

in the machete growing up compilation I noticed the little snail appears in two drawings, does it have any meaning or significance?

I love the compilation btw, its so cool to be able to see!

Nothing too grandiose, I just find snails cute.

Machete is so easily grossed out by so many things and a lot of people think snails are nasty and slimy. I thought it would be a fun inversion of expectations if he happened to secretly like them.

I surmise he has a fondness for snails for the same reasons he doesn't feel comfortable around horses. Snails are tiny, extremely predictable, silent and nonthreatening.

I think some people miss the fact that Silco loves as hard as he hates. After the fallout with Vander, he had no real friends left. The betrayal, which was not merely a repriortizing of ideals but an outright murder attempt that left him disfigured, may have actually pushed him to become a bigger zealot than he already was.

The betrayal led to hate, that goes without saying, but I'd argue that all of Silco's love also redirected from people (who cannot be trusted) to his ambitions (which cannot hurt him, at least not directly).

I think it's really telling that once Jinx entered his life, Silco loved her more than his ideals. If he had only loved her insofar as she was useful to him, Silco would not hesitate to give her up. We see this was not the case. And, after finally understanding Vander's perspective and likely ruminating on the irony of his impending death, Silco bore no ill will against Jinx accidentally shooting him in a fit of distress. Instead, he affirmed his love for her and tacitly forgives her.

This makes Silco's forgiving of Vander in the au timeline believable. If he found the letter or Vander apologized and told him that the violence was in a moment of passionate weakness, Silco would forgive him provided not too much time has passed to allow resentment to fester. Jinx in the original timeline proves that an abundance of love and forgiveness are in-character for him. He is in fact a character of tremendous extremes.

I think this is a very good analysis of Silco, yes. He was never perfect, most likely could be very intense about their plans for Zaun and maybe did not care about if Enforcers got hurt, but that is almost given. He lived in absolute misery and he had clear enemies.

The thing that really made me get Silco was when he was confronting Vander in s1. The way he says "for RESPECT?!" was so telling of his...well, whole deal, the way he looks to the side like he could not believe that Vander didn't get it. He was still fighting the fight but now with trauma! Yay!

I can see him being able to forgive but like you said, there should not be too much time in between the drowning and the forgiveness. The way Vander tried to drown Silco is so violent, I was so taken back by it when I first watched Arcane. It was so clear that Silco could not do anything when Vander got his hands on him, the power difference was too great. He was terrified

And even when Silco tried to escape, leave the situation, Vander attacked again. It's so...cruel?? And that is why I love it. I love how messy they are. They lived among violence their whole life so yes, what's a bit of murder between them if they just talk about it seriously after. And give time to each other.

It's just so juicy that the man who most likely protected Silco his whole life attacked him the cruelest way possible. AND. It gives some nice flavor for Vander. He might be a house wife but he can kill you

Alive again - Part 7

Danny's words are met with... Not quite sighs of relief, but the release of breaths that were clearly being held.

"But" he's certain they all expected the but "I have conditions" his gaze lands once again on the small ornate box and lingers there a while "and I expect payment afterwards, regardless of how this all turns out".

Batman and Constantine share a suspicious glance. Red hood rolls his eyes, though no one can see it beneath his mask. They may haggle and barter for the best deal they can, but he was willing to bet B and the rest were just as desperate as him to make this deal, they'd just about agree to anything at this point.

It turns out the Ghost Kings demands weren't all that unreasonable. They'd read about the kinds of deals that got made in the past, live sacrifices, whole lineages erased from history, entire countries given up in servitude. Something must have changed before now because this king was making no such demands.

No not whole lineages, or entire countries. All he'd asked was for a single soul. A single soul to bind with his and anchor him here to this reality. He'd said it was so he could assume a form that was safe for the people of this reality, that without it his power could crush the whole world without him even meaning too.

Green Arrow had scoffed at that. If the king had that kind of power, why couldn't he just wave his hand and cure everything. The king's answer was pretty simple, he'd stared at green arrow till the hero shifted uncomfortably in his seat before gesturing at himself and saying "ghost king?" with such incredulity that arrow hadn't opened his mouth again after that.

Now they were debating who to offer. Constantine had offered himself up first, eager as ever for an Eldritch twink. The king had scrunched up his nose at that "no offense, but no thanks. Your soul smells like damp cigarettes... and I'm pretty sure it's not even yours to offer at this point". Constantine seemed to take it in stride, shrugging off the comment and proclaiming it was worth a shot.

B was next, of course he fucking was that self sacrificing idiot. And even worse the king seemed to be actually considering it. He'd looked B up and down and actually sniffed at the air "mmmmmmaaaaaybe, your will is clearly strong enough to take it, and you certainly reek of death enough to be compatible...".

No. Fuck no. He felt the pits whisper in his ears and burn in his skin. Jason would Not allow B to do this, to take this from him. This king, this being of death, he could feel him. He could feel himself around him, parts of himself beyond just anger. He had somehow calmed the pit rage, soothed it to a bubbling laughter. It was terrifying and overwhelming and exhilarating and he was not going to let B take this opportunity from him.

"Fuck No" his first slammed through the table he was sitting at, splintering it apart as he pushed himself to his feet "It's me. End of, so back the fuck off Old man".

Danny could feel the rage pouring off the one he'd learnt goes by Red Hood. Could feel it building as he considered the other before him, the offer from Batman. Batman himself was tempting. A man so shrouded in death he tasted like a liminal. Like someone who was practically a ghost already, all that was left was to actually die. He'd be fitting as an anchor, it's true. But he knew who he really wanted.

Danny turned his thoughts to that rage as it built, he could practically hear it whispering it's demands, could feel it writhing and rotten under the other mans skin. What the fuck is that? It wasn't the feeling of a core, he was certain of that now. It was too sharp and jagged and fractured for that. Maybe he was possessed, or had been a halfa with a core and shattered it somehow, or... His musings were cut off by the mans sudden outburst, the fury practically tangible now, he pushed out some of his power to soothe the jagged edges of it, and muffle the insidious whispers. He felt gratified as he saw the man, so taught with rage he seemed ready to snap, responded to his soothing and softened at the edges just slightly.

He grinned ear to ear like the cat that caught the canary "Sold".

The rest was simple, some supplies and Constantine's help to seal the metaphorical door he'd come through, and a contract ensuring that at the end of all this, no matter the outcome, that ornate box would be His.
