quick little question for my fellow asthmatic folks
Does anyone else have like really specific triggers?
Like I have normal ones, (smoke, strong smells, etc) but I also have some very odd specific things that trigger me and I need to know if anyone else suffers.
A few being: Folgers coffee, lemon scented dawn powerwash, my cats flea medicine, etc..the list goes on.
They are strong scented stuff but also, there’s some strong smells I’m completely fine with! Like mint, peppermint, cloves, even a lot of perfumes don’t bother me.
🤷‍♀️ my lungs work in mysterious ways.

Unlocked a new asthma trigger tonight: Fireworks
😅 It's probably for the best that I never got to attend a KISS show. The pyrotechnics would've totally killed me😅
I'm fine now obviously but damn 😔

Visiting family has left. Alternating between missing them and enjoying the quiet.
Read the new Meg Langsiow book today for distraction.
Currently wondering if my cough is connected to 1 new-to-me scents in the bathroom, 2 the off gassing of new closet organizers, 3 an actual illness.
Asthma, allergies or covid is not my favorite game.
Airing out affected rooms has begun. Rapid test tomorrow, I think.

I petition to give Jason asthma
Why? Because I think it would be funny
And there's statistics talking about how those in stressful situations as children, mostly poverty, are more likely to develop asthma
Like, the places Jason had to live in were not well kept, other environmental factors could play a role in it
I don't care if he was completely healed/cured of all injuries and ailments from the pit–
I want asthma Jason and the boys laughing at him taking a nebulizer treatment

I'm being incredibly normal about Power Wash Simulator considering the amount of lore it actually has.
Anyway here's my take on the protagonist's vibes.

Hey y'all! It's winter again which means my annual search for lotion I am not allergic to is back on (aka my hands are dry and I want to find better lotion lol) Currently, I use Aveeno, the one with oats I can never remember the name of. I am not allergic to it but it's not super effective for me, so I'm once again looking for a different lotion option - I am allergic to coconut, macadamia nut, almond, and cinnamon (and vinegar but I doubt that would be in lotion) - I am not allergic to but my asthma is triggered by mint, any menthol-adjacent anything, cedar, sandalwood...basically any "wood" smells or fake musk smells, and most essential oils. Also fake "sweet" smells - I can usually handle citrus scents better than other scents in things like lotions and soaps without wheezing, but any strong enough scent can be an issue
If you happen to have a lotion, especially a hand lotion, that you think would work for me please let me know! I know it's a long shot but I thought it was worth asking

Our blood is scattered like flower petals on the battlefield- saccharine raindrops nourish the ruined earth. As I lay next to you, dying, I know there's nothing I'd wish for more than to meet you once more. Another time... Another chance...
(full piece under the cut. Warning for mild gore)

I kinda fucking hate the nrs reboot timeline, but I'm obsessed with the retcon of Armageddon's ending. Its just- goddamn. I keep thinking about it as the ending to their storyline and it's not good but it is angsty. Which I love so much.
