Cinch had three charges in her care once, Celestia entrusted her with the day-to-day care of Prince Blueblood, the new Princess Cadence and her student Sunset Shimmer - running a kingdom is difficult enough alone without three young ponies to look after - so when Celestia is absent (often) that means Cinch was in charge of these three ponies. And while the matron of the castle was always rigid about rules and wanted her three charges to uphold her reputation and to build their own budding reputations high, she cared about them very much. You'd have to, spending your time with the same three young ponies for so long, guiding and teaching them to be their best...

By the time Ditzy came into the picture, Cinch was down to two charges. She refused to fail them the way she failed...

Well, with one down, there were two left and she cared so much she wouldn't let anyone ruin them, especially not themselves. Surely they would come to realize Cinch was only helping.

we are supposed to get married, live in a big house in the hills of italy, it always feels like summer, large breezes going through the french inspired doors, everything always feels perfectly still, we lounge on our couches, reading to eachother, our cats purring in our laps, we smoke cigarettes on our pouches, both topless, bc we live in such a secluded area it doesn’t matter, we play tennis in our courts out back, laughing hysterically at nothing, we have a garden, getting our hands and knees dirty plucking our vegetables and fruits, we make dinner for our neighbors, ones we are very close with, sometimes when we are both sick of our house, of eachother own thoughts, we go to the town, dance to italian music that we both barely understand, wine drunk, we adapt light italian/french mixed accents, ones that pass onto our daughter who has a weird hybrid of everything. 💜

thinking about how certain people at DC believed that steph and cass weren't characters who people cared about or would have long-lasting fanbases, yet when they tried to kill steph off for shock value fans were so outraged that they eventually had to walk it back and say "actually she was alive the entire time, she was just in hiding until now"

and when they tried to turn cass into a villain out of nowhere there was such an immediate backlash that they had to lie and say "we definitely have a plan here guys, don't worry" and eventually went "actually she was just brainwashed, she's back to being good now" (though cass was still hit with more bullshit afterwards)

and finally when they tried to retcon both characters out of existence with the new 52, fans complained enough that they eventually ended up writing the characters back into continuity

i dunno man, it doesn't sound like the characters had issues attracting fans. seems like the issue was something else

This is a formal apology to Superman and Metropolis from a Gothamite (it is not, this is a formality the government said I must do, I do not mean this)

I would like to apologise to Superman and all the citizens of Metropolis who today witnessed me lose it and beat Lex Luther into a minor coma with a chair. (His machine broke my laptop, I was working on my final essay for university, he deserved it)

It was a violent scene and I am sorry to any trauma caused and I shall be paying the broken chair (Superman you should've let me beat his face in further, and that chair now mine, I'm taking it back to Gotham with me its going on my wall)
