So, I recently got back into The Wayhaven Chronicles—A CYOA text adventure story for those not in the know—and was curious about thoughts other people on some of the major choices.

Maybe I just missed it but is there any specific reason Rebecca dislikes Bobby so much during the Bobby path when they are an ex? Or is it just because they are... Well, Bobby?
Rebecca is aware what Bobby did to the MC, and of all things Rebecca hates betrayal. Like, it's one of the things that actually can make her express actual anger, lol!
So yeah, not only was it her kid that Bobby was a jerk too, but in a way that really aggravates her.
Hope that helps! Thank you so much for the ask :)

I had to Google if the kiss would mess with the RO routes 😂 when I saw that it lead to salty angst and jealousy? It was an instant choice, I no longer had to second guess myself. I clicked on the kiss choice so fast 😂

I've been replaying M's route and I've to say it's my fave. This time I managed to get high relationship with Bobby (who's obviously not over the MC) and it made me think.
How would M react if Bobby told them something along the lines of "you might be sleeping with MC right now, but I know what's it like to be loved by them"
What would post book 3 M think about that? Would it even bother them? And what about the other ROs?
Hmm, good question!
I’m not sure it’s something that would have occurred to M to think of! But after Bobby would have brought it up, M would immediate shrug it off.
It’s not until later when it would wiggle and worm at them, and they’d be confused just why that statement is bothering them so much, hehe! :D
It definitely would be a thought that lingered for M at this point in the romance.
Thank you so much for the ask! :)

the saw universe is pigpilled already, and so is ours
john kramer’s ideology, or the pigpill as i like to call it, did not spring fully formed out of his broken head when he crashed his car after his wife’s miscarriage and his terminal cancer diagnosis. even before losing any single fuck he had to give before that moment, do you know what he was like? he was a rich white guy in his fifties who explicitly hated the work his wife did helping out addicts. those are a dime in a dozen. your dad could be one of them.
the pigpill is just a far more radicalized approach for your average social darwinist take common in your everyday conservative. john literally talks about survival of the fittest to matthews when given the opportunity to soapbox. when he sees someone, anyone, living any life that he disapproves of, he thinks they were endowed with absolute freedom of circumstance from birth, and they are where they are, doing what they want by choice. even if they’re doing this because they’re poor, or addicted, or mentally ill. therefore, he gets carte blanche on how to deal with him.
“why is this important” to explain to you why saw 3D: the final chapter is secretly genius actually and here’s why—[gets dragged off stage by a cane]
bobby dagen convinced the entire world that he was a jigsaw survivor, sharted out the most mid self-help book in the world, and people ate it up because the basis for the pigpill is already deeply embedded in modern society. all that bootstrap narrative is what john tells himself when (or if) he asks himself why adam could not earn a living doing anything other than invading people’s privacy, or why addison had to resort to sex work, or any of his other victims really. that same bootstrap narrative is also the backbone of the self-help industry. and that’s how you get bobby dagen parroting john’s lines back to john’s own victims, and it’s not even out of place. no one notices it being fundamentally wrong, except for simone.
… it also kind of contextualizes why hoffman and gordon would eat that shit up, too, you know.
