okay, for my de-aged gotham!bruce au
what if there was a new rogue running around de-aging everyone who got in their way? the trigger to turn back is unknown and seemingly random. so after bruce is de-aged, some of his old rogues are de-aged too. since their MOs are a bit different because they're at a different point in their lives (it depends for each one when they're de-aged to) bruce is their main source of information on them, meaning that the batfam is basically forced to let bruce work with them to fight the de-aged rogues.
rogues i want to include (so far): the penguin, the riddler, (of course) the joker (i want to find a way to include jerome so so so bad but i don't know how exactly yet), not sure who else as to the rogues.
but i also want to de-age selina and alfred at some point. maybe someone hit the manor at a gala or something. they play that off as when bruce was hit so bruce can walk around gotham without the cops scrambling to find bruce wayne.

Poll adventure (paventure? lol) Day 3: read the small story tidbit below the poll for more details, OR just vote based on initial impression
(✦ see past poll results + further information HERE (link) ✦)
The winning option of yesterday's poll was that the adventurer should throw a coin into the mysterious well ….
"After nearly ten minutes rummaging through the disorganization at the bottom of his backpack, he finally approaches the well once again, meager coin pouch in hand. He meticulously balances a little golden coin on the tip of his thumb, positioning it just so for an elegant coin flip… With a flick of his hand, the coin wobbles off, anticlimactically dropping into the darkness.. He pouts, leaning in to listen for a plonk as the coin hits the water but… nothing…. silence..
A few minutes pass and he shrugs, moving to pick up his bag and just continue his journey elsewhere, when suddenly a faint noise echoes from the well.. an almost cartoonish plopping sound, like wet feet slapping against stone..? The pitter patter grows closer and closer…then stops abruptly. The adventurer cautiously slinks over to the well, only to find.. a creature of some sort, clinging to the walls, staring up at him blankly. - What should he do next?"

i know act 3 gets a lot of criticism for feeling smaller and less put together than the other 2 acts, and that's not invalid criticism to make, but also sometimes i wonder if anyone even realizes just how big it all is when you add all of the traversable space together. there's so much of this game that isn't visible when you just look at the world map that it's nearly impossible to reach it all within your first playthrough of the game.

After his waking conversation in the inn, Alaun turns to introspection. [A further look into the paladins head and his reasons for following the code]
-
Surrounded by unknowns in a city once filled with life, the inn was a place of rest and small comforts.
The latest paladin to walk through it's doors had finally woken, tension bleeding out of his body, not once it was confirmed he was safe, but when his hesitant offer to stay and protect was refused.
It's like Seelah and Wenduag said, paladins are crazy. Allthough they meant it very differently.
Alaun was a paladin, but first he was a soldier. He had an underlying practicality, and understanding of people. The so called 'naivete' of paladins was less ignorance on his part, and more shoving your hand into what you know is a deadly trap and praying to whatever god can hear you that you can defuse it before it takes the limb.
He probably wasn't the only paladin like that, calculated recklessness is par for the course and just because you believe and follow your oaths doesn't mean you don't know better.
Blind faith in people is hard to come by in the world wound, so hard it almost comes back around to trust. The place is so bleak and your chances alone are so slim, what does it matter if you die to a centerpede or a blade in the back. Dead is dead. Well mostly.
A long way of saying he knew wenduag was not entirely on their side. That the hope she would stick around was doomed to wither- or die to locusts and hellfire. It made him all the more a fool he supposed. But he had been a fool for a long time, and he would be for much longer, gods willing.
He did believe in helping people, in walking with an outstretched hand, in making what little good you can in this world.
But he had woken up entombed by the corpses of his comrades, woken up to flashes of traitors opening the gates to the demonic hordes that had been laying seige.
He woke up to a broken city drowning in corpses.
With him alone, shimmering with Iomedaes light, alive.
He would not let this city share the same fate.

anyone know good fantasy (probably shonen) animes that I can watch with my almost 11 year old niece that doesn’t have a bunch of “male protag falls face-first into female character’s boobs” type shit?
she lovedFullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and she is so sad that we are struggling to find another anime to watch

Incidental themes delight me. And I’m absolutely fascinated by two of my birthday gifts. My eldest aunt sent me a gem water bottle, which I’m just like ???, but that’s like normal from her and she did tell me she saw it and was like Lauren will test this and tell me what she thinks so I can decide if I want one, and I’m like I will. 🤣 The only reason I haven’t yet is because I have to figure out how to wash it without “damaging the gems” first and I’m intimidated by that. The idea is that there’s this pocket of gems, like a viewing pod in the bottle and it’s supposed to infuse the water. Which like...I get is a whole thing and it’s not a thing I subscribe to. But I will try it.
The other thing I got was an advice guide from baba yaga that a friend saw and was like this is very you! And I’m just...she’s right. I love it. But I’m mostly fascinated that my eldest aunt and my friend were both like how is Lauren spending her 31st? Witchy mystical stuff. Sure.
