Cosmo Gang Comic Find!

I have too much to say right now but I do love the art for this comic! It looks like the official art for the series but more silly and it's just so cool that this was found!

This episode seems to be how the Untoucher team met the monster bird called Bakamonder! This bird does have a figure in the figurine set but I have not seen it anywhere else until now!

It's sakura season and Don Cosmo wants to see some sakura trees but plants don't grow well on Ankoku so he takes it out on Bakuto. Meanwhile on the planet everyone is just chillin with the sakura trees.

It was calm until the trees start moving on their own! Also apparently Doricon can see through objects.

It was worms, Cosmo Gang branded worms! Bakuto shows up ready to attack with his army of jammers and now these worms!

Cosmo Gang worms are more of a threat than you would think and the team ends up surrounded by worms. Luckily, Bakamonder can eat the worms!

Also that cheerleader is not a random new character, I believe that is a crossdressing Ottoness, good for him!

All the worms left fuse into a big worm and catch Bakamonder in some string but now Ottoness can come in and save the day! In the end he has to pick worms out for Bakamonder! I forgot to mention at the start but Ottoness hates worms.

Now for a few more notes I could only put here at the end.

-Cool seems to have different types of guns and some sort of headset on his left ear.

-Bakamonder is Pearl's pet bird that she just got for some reason.

-Sometimes Ottoness is called "Ness" here so it must be a nickname for him!

Frick you, Cosmo Gangs posting

I am going to be talking about Cosmo Gangs and you are going to like it! >:]

The Cosmo Gang is the main group in the series but then there is the Cosmo Police team that fights the gang! The team is called Untoucher and there are 6 members (only 5 are pictured here though...)

The guy in the center is Ottoness and he is the leader of the team. (better picture below)

He is also the player character in Cosmo Gang the Video but he is in the Hyper beat (the player ship) and is only seen in the manual.

I have an entire folder on my computer dedicated to pictures of Ottoness I love him so much

The guy with the shades is Cool (<- that's his name) and he seems to be the best with shooting. He might be the player 2 character in Cosmo Gang the Video.

The guy with the white mustache is Firs(?) (I think that's his name). He seems to be watching over Ottoness and in the comic "Untouchable Cosmo Police" he has a sword. There is a plush of this guy holding a sword so he must have it there.

The purple one is Doricon (?) and he is a different type of alien than the rest of the Untoucher team. He seems chill I like him.

The guy with the glasses is Chanter (?) and he seems to be in charge of fundraising for the team. Seems to be the nerdy type.

There is a 6th member that does not seem to have any official art of her. The only colored art I could find is from a flyer for the arcade version of Cosmo Gang the Puzzle.

This is Pearl (full name Pearl Peirce?) and she is the only girl on the team! She has a larger role in the "Untouchable Cosmo Police" comic but otherwise I can't find much on her. Like even less than the other characters. But she is cute and I like her.

There is a booklet that came with the Namco Game Sound Express vol.8 that showed all the characters in the Cosmo Gangs world but Pearl is not shown here despite her existing at the time.

Vehicles

Talking about the various vehicles seen in Cosmo Gang!

Boss UFO:

The ufo Bakuto is seen using and the same ufo seen on the very first Cosmo Gang elemecha game. Found in pretty much every part of the Cosmo Gang series. In Cosmo Gang the Video Bakuto uses this ufo to give himself and extra hit and can be seen sitting in the ufo during the first challenge stage based on the original Cosmo Gangs. In Cosmo Gang the Puzzle the Boss UFO is seen again as Bakuto's ship as he is the first player character. The exact size of the ufo seems to vary.

Mini UFO:

The ufos that Cosmos/ Jammers use. They are seen in Cosmo Gang the Video where it takes two hits to defeat them. When first hit they will attempt to charge at the player. Mini ufos are also seen in Cosmo Bazooka as targets to hit, in Cosmo Gang the Puzzle during the 10 stage breaks in the 100 puzzle mode, and in the comic from this one panel.

Hyperbeat:

The player's ship in Cosmo Gang the Video. It is used by the Cosmo Police Untoucher team and there are two of them. The one seen in art though is the white Hyperbeat which is actually the ship for player two in the game. The yellow ship for player one does not seem to have any art. The Hyperbeat can shoot a single basic shot on it's own but can be upgraded with a power up to shoot two shots at once! In artwork Ottoness is the only character seen in the Hyperbeat.

Patobeat:

The vehicle that was used in the Cosmo Police Untoucher elemecha game. There the Patobeat was piloted by Ottoness and used to hit the Cosmo Gang members. It is also seen in Cosmo Gang the Puzzle as Ottoness is the second player character in that game. It seems like the Patobeat was also the main ship used by Ottoness in the Untouchable Cosmo Police comic.

Patorider:

Not seen in any games, this bike-like vehicle is only seen used by Cool of the Untoucher team in some art work. It is also seen in that picture of the comic above, also used by Cool. A figure of this vehicle does exist though as one of the prizes from Cosmo Police Untoucher.

Bumpy:

Looks like the main vehicle the Untoucher team works from and it is not seen in any of the games. The only artwork of Bumpy comes from the CD booklet that came with Namco Game Sound Express Volume 8. It is described as having the ability to switch between a form that drives on the ground, to a flying form with arms. Possibly featured in the comic as well as seen in the picture above.

Cosmo Yang at the Legends Awards 2023

The turtleneck! The belt detail! Cosmo Yang knows what looks good on him. Docking points on the shoes though. It’s a little too casual for this event. But we get it! He has to run away from the hoards of fans, you need sensible shoes!

Maybe it was the moment you met, when she asked your name like it was a line in a sales pitch, and you gave it to her like it was your last will and testament. “Could I interest you in a life spent entirely in my proximity?” she said, Salesperson side smiling like an infomercial. You smiled back. The Meanie side narrowed her eye. “OH MY GØD. You’re smiling? What are you, a psycho?” “Yes,” you replied. And just like that, the contract was signed.

☆ You collect ENA’s discarded voice recordings like they’re pressed flowers. Her angry outbursts. Her poetic ramblings. Her emotional breakdowns. You catalog each one with timestamps and notes. She finds out. She doesn’t get mad. She starts recording custom messages for you. “Business update: You’re mine. That’s non-negotiable.” Or sometimes, in that crackling Meanie voice: “Tchhh—don’t go playing cute with other freaks. I’ll murder the trend.”

☆ ENA walks into your room, blood on her shoes. “There was…competition. Very limited-time offer.” You don’t ask who. You wipe the blood off with your sleeve and offer her tea. “Wanna watch that surveillance footage together? You looked sooooo brave.” “I did, didn’t I?” “Criminally charming.”

☆ You have both tried to poison each other. Not out of hate. Out of love. You just wanted to see if she’d be clever enough to survive. She was. She liked the taste. “You put foxglove in the tea?” “You drank the whole thing?” “We’re married now,” she declares. “Cool. Our vows will be televised.”

☆ She sends you a bouquet of audio files. Each one is a threat to someone who got too close to you. “Excuse me—PING!��you were seen looking at my darling with both eyes open. That is now a Class A felony. You have been reported to the love police.” “SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP! BACK OFF OR I’LL SHOVE YOUR HEAD INTO THE GENIE’S TOILET!” You play them on loop when you’re feeling low.

☆ You show up at her megaphone event with a knife in your pocket, a smile on your lips, and a homemade t-shirt that reads, ‘ENA IS MY GØD, GET LOST’. She sees you from the stage, stutters, then speaks in dual voices at once: “A blessed sermon! A capital campaign! MY DEVOTEE IS ARMED AND ADORABLE!” You blow her a kiss. Someone in the crowd blinks too long in your direction. They don’t blink again.

☆ Your love notes are like war declarations. Hers are like sales pitches written in blood. “I’m going to carve our initials into the psyche of this universe.” She writes back, “Let’s bundle that emotion with a limited-time offer! If you commit mass homicide in my name, I’ll give you a 30% increase in cuddles.” You frame that note and hang it above your bed.

☆ You both have matching calendars where you mark off each other’s violent outbursts as anniversaries. July 9th: ENA stabbed a flirtatious mannequin in the eye. August 12th: You mailed her a jar of someone else’s tears with a love poem tied to it. September 23rd: You screamed her name into the megaphone tower until your throat gave out. She tattooed the waveform across her stomach with her sharpest blade.

☆ Her Meanie side thinks you’re unstable. “OH, YOU’RE NUTS. EVEN I CAN’T STAND YOU!” Her Salesperson side giggles. “They love me so bad it hurts. Isn’t that romantic?” You kiss her right in front of herself and she short-circuits, screaming and blushing and threatening to rearrange the cosmos for a double date. She picks the Froggy as your chaperone. “To keep us out of trouble,” she lies. You’re both armed under the table.

☆ If she’s broken, you’re the wrecking ball that smashes her pieces into a prettier pattern. If you’re unhinged, she’s the velvet box the blade sleeps in. She curls into your lap one night, whispering like a lost confession: “I’m going to turn the world into a convenience store. And you’ll be the only item I’ll keep restocking.” You smile and say, “You’ll run out of shelf space before I run out of love.” Together, you make obsession look like art.

SEGA Mandates explained with their exceptions (Old)

Game characters cannot have family members unless they were established in the game canon (Because Archie went overboard).

Game characters cannot be killed off.

Sonic cannot cry or get too emotional.

Exception: Sonic Prime didn't follow this rule despite being canon.

The terms Mobius and Mobians are banned, during the early 2010s, Earth was called "Sonic's World" because they wanted to appeal to 90s Boomers who hate Sonic living on Earth without calling it Mobius, it died down later though.

Exception: Ian Flynn has stated SEGA recanonized Sonic Spinball, which takes place in Mobius, so it exists somewhere in game canon, Veg-O-Fortress even has a cameo in Sonic Origins, Ian also stated Spinball takes place in between Sonic 3 and Knuckles and Sonic 3D Blast.

The heroes must always win at the end.

Characters and elements from Non Canon media cannot be used, Cosmo and the Metarex were potentially allowed to appear but according Ian Flynn, they're off the table now, the Metal Virus serves as a replacement for Robotization, Eggperial City serves as a replacement for Robotropolis, Restoration serves as a replacment for the Freedom Fighters.

Classic Era characters aren't allowed to appear in Modern Era and vice versa, during the 2010s there was the Two Dimensions retcon because of it, however they later removed it, Team Chaotix are also not allowed to appear in Classic because they considered Sonic Heroes to be their first appearance, however Knuckles Chaotix was recanonized in Tailstube, in the same episode, they acknowledge Mighty, Ray and Fang's Gang and teased a Modern Trip, recently, SEGA is considering retiring Classic Sonic after the disappointment of Sonic Superstars.

Only one Metal Sonic is allowed, not multiple (They must really dislike Shard and Metallix)

Knuckles: Knuckles is the only Echidna and only resident of Angel Island besides Chao and Baby Animals, (Ken Penders lol), Knuckles is also not allowed leave Angel Island without a reason now, prolly due to critiques with games like Heroes

Silver: Silver's Future is off limits, only SEGA can explore that, if they ever choose to

Super Forms: Male hedgehogs are the only ones allowed to go Super, this has been changed with Sonic Superstars and Otherworld Comedy.

Humans: Due to complaints from 90s Boomers, Humans besides Eggman weren't allowed until Shadow Generations

Romance: Characters can have crushes but they can't date or get married.

Money: Only Team Chaotix can talk about money

Rings: Ian Flynn was told Rings were no longer canon, however Rings appear in Sonic Prime and cutscenes in The Final Horizon, which Ian didn't know about

Special Stages: No longer canon and Fang's bio of living in the Special Stages is retconned
