It's Time To Investigate SevenArt.ai
sevenart.ai is a website that uses ai to generate images.
Except, that's not all it can do.
It can also overlay ai filters onto images to create the illusion that the algorithm created these images.
And its primary image source is Tumblr.
It scrapes through the site for recent images that are at least 10 days old and has some notes attached to it, as well as copying the tags to make the unsuspecting user think that the post was from a genuine user.
No image is safe. Art, photography, screenshots, you name it.
Initially I thought that these are bots that just repost images from their site as well as bastardizations of pictures across tumblr, until a user by the name of @nataliedecorsair discovered that these "bots" can also block users and restrict replies.
Not only that, but these bots do not procreate and multiply like most bots do. Or at least, they have.
The following are the list of bots that have been found on this very site. Brace yourself. It's gonna be a long one:

The oldest ones have been created in March, started scraping in June/July, and later additions to the family have been created in July.
So, I have come to the conclusion that these accounts might be run by a combination of bot and human. Cyborg, if you will.
But it still doesn't answer my main question:
Who is running the whole operation?
The site itself gave us zero answers to work with.
No copyright, no link to the engine where the site is being used on, except for the sign in thingy (which I did.)
I gave the site a fake email and a shitty password.
Turns out it doesn't function like most sites that ask for an email and password.
Didn't check the burner email, the password isn't fully dotted and available for the whole world to see, and, and this is the important thing...
My browser didn't detect that this was an email and password thingy.
And there was no log off feature.
This could mean two things.
Either we have a site that doesn't have a functioning email and password database, or that we have a bunch of gullible people throwing their email and password in for people to potentially steal.
I can't confirm or deny these facts, because, again, the site has little to work with.
The code? Generic as all hell.
Tried searching for more information about this site, like the server it's on, or who owned the site, or something. ANYTHING.
Multiple sites pulled me in different directions. One site said it originates in Iceland. Others say its in California or Canada.
Luckily, the server it used was the same. Its powered by Cloudflare.
Unfortunately, I have no idea what to do with any of this information.
If you have any further information about this site, let me know.
Until there is a clear answer, we need to keep doing what we are doing.
Spread the word and report about these cretins.
If they want attention, then they are gonna get the worst attention.

đœhings to do instead of scrolling ౚà§

summer is here, school is over and you have way too much free time on your hands. so unless you want to spend your whole days with your eyes locked on a screen, here's an in- depth guide on what to do this summer, or whenever!!
learn a new language - trust me, speaking more than one language is a skill that everyone should have, and it always comes in handy. you can watch tv shows, movies or youtube videos in your target language, read beginner books, use apps (not duolingo though.. ) and even just listen to music!! just expose yourself to the language as much as you can, even better if you know anyone you can have conversations with. you could also learn sign language!!
journal or scrapbook - writing down your feelings really helps understanding your own self more. you can try doing shadow work to really dive deep, or just write whatever you feel in that moment. it doesn't have to become a chore, and remember, write for yourself and not as if someone else was going to read!! as for scrapbooking, just print out some nice photos and decorate the pages with stickers, drawings, fun colored paper.. whatever you want, just be creative!!
make art - it doesn't have to look perfect, remember that all art is beautiful in its own way. even if you think you're not good at it, just create, it will help you feel better & you'll also get better with time!! you can draw, paint, sculpt, do pottery, etc. you don't have to follow any guidelines, just buy a random sketchbook, bring out your inner child and do whatever you feel like doing
learn how to play an instrument - this can be a bit expensive, but if you have any instrument in your house that you've never used, it might be a great time to start learning it!! you don't necessarily need to take classes, you can easily find tutorials on youtube, even though it might be harder to learn by yourself. but making music is a really fun activity & good for the soul
reading and writing - i will never recommend reading enough !! everyone should read. it helps you learn new things, understand different perspectives, expand your vocabulary, and so much more. i know books can be expensive, but you can always try to buy them at flea markets, or ask a friend/family member to lend you some. and just in case, there are always some sites where you can read books online for free, like zlibrary!! you can read before going to bed instead of staying on your phone (which is sooo bad for your sleep), at the beach while tanning or outside while getting some fresh air. and if reading books inspires you, you can try to write something!! i'm not saying you have to write a 600 page book, but you can try to write small stories, or poetry, and who knows, someday you might actually write a book! if you want to get published, there are some small literary magazines you can find on social media that publish the works of small writers, it can be a great way to start. you can also always post your works here on tumblr, substack, or any social media platform!! you could also try to write the story for a movie and start screenwriting, if you're into cinematography
research interesting topics - now that school isn't forcing you to study things that maybe you don't care about, you can study whatever you want !! remember, knowledge is power, and with the internet, you basically have the world in your hands. you can watch a youtube video, read a book, or simply research on websites (make sure they're reliable though). you can also take online courses!! i might make a post on ideas for what to research??
start a new hobby - your life can't only be made of school/work, sleep, and a screen. you need hobbies that you actually like and that make you feel good. some of these can be: baking and cooking, crocheting, knitting, embroidery, jewelry making, nail art, makeup, photography, editing, blogging/vlogging, coloring, candle making, soap making, perfume making, modeling, origami, sewing, making diy stuff, chess, puzzles, acting, singing, flower arranging, meditating, lego building, trying new hairstyles or outfits, doing animations, discovering new music, sudoku, the things i previously wrote, and probably a million other activities i can't think of right now
stay active - moving you body is good for both your physical and mental health, i'm sure we all know that. you can go on walks or runs in the nature with your headpones on, or do any sport that you like- some ideas: swimming, dancing (ballet, hip hop, modern, ecc) , tennis, martial arts (judo, karate, taekwondo, ecc), volleyball, basketball, athletics, gymnastics, football, archery, fencing, table tennis, boxing, surfing, rowing, hockey, horseback riding, softball, golf, biking, figure skating, rollerblading, skating.. you don't need to do it competitively (unless you want to), as long as you're having fun and moving your body. you can also do workouts, like yoga or pilates, at home or outdoors, or go hiking.
watch movies, tv shows, or documentaries - it can always be a good learning experience, or just something fun and relaxing that isn't mindlessly scrolling. a bonus: after you've watched something, write a very long, detailed and in-depth review in your journal. you can also post it wherever you want (like letterboxd, to fight all the one liners)
hang out - with friends, family, or even by yourself !! (i know, i know, it can be scary). you can do anything, as long as you're with the right people everything is fun, but here's some ideas: have a picnic, go to the beach, go to a water park, have a baking contest, do temporary tattoos, go to a concert, go out to eat, do a one day trip, go on a road trip, take a walk in the nature, go hiking, go to a trampoline park, go to an amusement park, visit a museum, go thrifting or shopping, have a board games night, try out a new cute cafe or bakery, do an escape room, have a karaoke night, have a movie marathon, and so much more!!
i hope this helped!! âĄ

I had no idea you're a professional photographer! I mostly follow your other blog for Corgis - if you posted your work there and I missed it, I apologize.
Your photography is AMAZING and thank you for sharing tips on light!
Bonus if you have time: when did you develop (haha!) interest for it and what's your favorite thing about this medium? â
Thank you. I have been trying to go back to my older work and edit things with my current skills and I have been posting that on occasion.
I also have an Instagram which is sort of like my current portfolio until I have the energy to create a proper website.
It's funny you mention corgis because Otis was the reason I got a proper camera. My followers helped me raise the money to get him and I felt like he belonged to everyone. So I wanted to make sure I took lots of photos of his shenanigans for people to enjoy. If they couldn't have a corgi of their own, I wanted them to live vicariously.
I never do anything halfway. I always go quite overboard. I filled my brain with everything I could possibly learn about photography so I could take the best possible photos of Otis.

In the process of doing that, I realized I loved the art form. So even though Otis isn't around anymore, I owe him for giving me this wonderful creative outlet.
I took a long hiatus from photography when my parents got sick and I had to take care of them. Even though I stopped taking photos, I would watch photography education to help me relax. And it felt a bit like that meme of the dude studying the blade. I was learning some very advanced stuff.
Once my parents both passed I found myself with a giant hole in my life. And photography called me once again. I was a bit rusty operating the camera for a day or two, but because I had continued my learning, it all came back pretty quick. And I realized I was orders of magnitude better at photography, lighting, and post processing than I used to be.
My first photoshoot after 7 years was of my aunt and uncle. I didn't have much in the way of lighting equipment (I sold it to help my family), so I bounced a little flash off one of those science fair trifold thingies.

These shots made me realize I definitely needed photography back in my life. I figured if I could do that with cardboard I found at Walmart, I would have great potential with proper equipment. So I'm in the process of building a new studio and getting some new gear so I can show off what I'm capable of now.
I ran into a little medical hiccup a few months ago which put everything on pause. While I'm recovering I'm not really able to take any photos. So I've decided to try and write some photography education and help others with their photographic journeys as best I can. And I am still continuing to learn and planning what I want to photograph when my health is in better shape.
I really want to do high quality animal portraiture. Not just cats and dogs. I want to find other exotic pets too. And I also want to do an art project where I help people take high quality photos of their parents. One of the things I was most grateful for after my folks died was the photos I took of them.

And also this one I took of my grandmother.

Having a really high quality photo of people you love is so important. And I don't think everyone realizes that. So I'm hoping I can help folks capture these important memories.
Oh, my favorite thing. I almost forgot. I would say it is the problem solving. Every photo is a new puzzle for me. Especially if I am working with artificial lighting and modifiers. I enjoy imagining a photo in my head and then going through the process, solving problems, and realizing what I imagined in real life. It's a great feeling.
This photo of my friend Ryan comes to mind. I just had this vision of someone reading in the middle of a forest. And so we dragged lights to my neighbors yard and I taped a flash inside the lampshade.

there was nothing more suna loved than to take photos of his chubby love. with photography as his full time profession, you would be the main subject captured first in his heart, then captured to his lense. his vision of his love for you reflected in the imagery he takes of you.
never once had he pressured you. always understanding whether or not you felt picture ready in the moment. though he wants nothing more than to show the world your beauty, in your most rawest form to your most dolled up. and the times you do agree, his choices of composition, his use of following and breaking all dynamics in the principles of photography, as well as the incredible way he executes your perfection is not just derived from skill, but his wholehearted love for you.
the way hed take time, shifting in all sorts of silly and uncomfortable positions just to find the lighting that best highlights the doughy goodness of your body. shuffling around more to get an angle that doesnt shadow away your supple parts he loves so much. he looks ridiculous, especially in public. but heâll take the light humiliation if it means you get to shine in return. the results always awed you both, so of courseâ it was worth it.
though his own guilty pleasure? gifting you outfits hed love for you to do mini photoshoots in, taking perspective pov shotsâ just to get close to you while posed and dressed up, and making sets for you in his personal studio or just in your shared home. because to his eyes, you are every lovely definition and more. not just as his muse, but as his girlfriend, his most cherished love, and his other half.
he could gush for hours over the way you stole his heart, and how he greedily gate keeps yours. every time he saw your smile as you laughed and chatted his ears off, every time you groggily woke up beside him, every time he saw you in ways you trusted no one else besides him to.
it almost frustrates him that your beautiful expressions cant be fully grasped by the digital pixels created by a photo. no matter how good the camera or his skills are. your smile on film would never live up to the radiant way you shine in person. but hes a greedy man, so he feels a sense of pride knowing he could see your smile youve given him in its truest form. with you right beside him, and its all for himself.
through his eyes alone, he had been entranced since day one. and he feels so damn luckily he can be the one to show you off to the world through his loving gaze.
hence the number of photos of you, the reason a photo of you and him are front and center on his booking website, and why his portfolio is full of his best workâ a large percentage of it involving you.
and when it comes back to the individual photos hes takenâ each capture, even if accidentally blurred from an unmatched shutter speed, or caught too off guardâ still meant so much to him. back to the times youve agreed to take part in his more professional work, suna would always make it a point not to bother with heavily editing the photos. wanting highlight what makes you so one of a kind. with your blemishes and your so called âimperfectionsâ that only made so much more real to him, unlike the images seen in magazines or online.
he treasures you, and has seen you in so many different ways unlike no other. through each moment outside of still imagery, he will always highly regard you as a person he so dearly loves. shined in his work and through his own two orbsâ you as a whole became his muse and center of his world.

hii! i absolutely love your work. i've been getting into trying to make borders myself, and i was wondering if you had any tips on where to find good pngs or do you create everything yourself? i feel like my luck so far hasn't been great but maybe i just don't know how to search for it correctly!
Hello, nonnie! I'm so glad you enjoy my work; thank you for your kind words. ( ˶ËáËË” ) And oh my gosh, it's so nice to see a new GFX creator in the making! One of us, one of us, one us. ~ Welcome to the wonderful world of editing, hehe!
I've compiled a list of websites that I use for my graphics, but please do let me know if you need anything else and I'll be happy to assist!
For general assets, as well as inspiration, I generally use these websites: behance (which is pretty much the industry standard when it comes to graphic design in general, they have cool studios or experienced designers that post their works and/or assets), booth (an independent japanese resources hub with many free and paid assets), huanban (an independent chinese resources hub, same proposal as booth), abdz (mostly focused on typography and branding), dribble (more focused on web applications and design) and envato (templates).
Since I'm colourblind, I'm not always confident about how to compose colours together. So whenever I'm in doubt, I use coolors (to get palettes from images and browse through palette ideas) and colorhunt (which gives ideas for palette themes and motifs).
I love typography a whole bunch, but sometimes it's hard to find that one right font for your project. Whenever I need to look for something else, I always run to these websites: google fonts (when I'm on a budget and want to use 100% free fonts, including for commercial use), 1001fonts (to quickly find fonts based on themes, it has a great tag system), dafont (a big classic huge dabatase of custom fonts), befonts (for more industry standard-leaning fonts) and kerismaker (for those magazine looks). When I want to identify a font used on an image and where I can download/purchase it, I use myfonts and font squirrel. They even give you similar options for free, too!
Suppose I'm specifically searching for illustrations/PNGs I can use on my upcoming project. In that case, I'll either go to flat icons (for websites, applications or presentations), vertex (for 3d icons and/or general vectors), graphic burger (for logo making), cleanpng (for I want a tree PNG and do not want to clean it myself, for example), pngtree (same idea as the previous one, you just search for a word and will see all PNGs related to it) and pngall (self explanatory).
Regarding backgrounds, textures, and photography in general, I rely on websites like pixabay, vecteezy, 3d ocean, morguefile, freepik and isorepublic. They have high-quality photos and videos that you can use on your projects. However, if I specifically need mockups or patterns, I turn to unblast, pacage and ava.
Besides those, you can always search for things on Deviantart and Twitter! Though I do not use those much, I think Instagram and Threads also have pages dedicated to sharing resources. Discord can be a nice place to search for graphic design servers, too.
However, if I cannot find specific resources for a commission/project for whatever reason, then I will make them myself. Be it through photography, drawing or anything else I can get my little hands on.
For the more technical/applications side, the programs I use for my graphics and edits are Adobe PhotoShop 2020, Adobe After Effects 2020, Adobe Illustrator 2020, Clip Studio Paint (for when I need to draw or polish something for specific projects/commissions), and HandBrake (for when I need to make screencaps). My drawing tablet is an oldie, Wacom One.
Hopefully, this can be a nice starting point for you! Please feel free to reblog and/or like this post if you'd like to save it for whatever purpose. ~ I hope you enjoy this journey ahead, and if you need anything else, let me know! You got this! àŽŠà”àŽŠàŽż ËÍÌêłËÍÌ )â§

Hello hello!
If/when you have the time to do so, it'd be pretty cool to see some headcannons about the type of nerd stuff Tim does/is into. Like what kinds of games and shows he's into, "nerdy" behaviors of his, would he ever cosplay, etc. I personally think that he'd be into Dungeons and Dragons (not sure to what degree though).
Also, as an alternative, you could do headcannons about Tim with a nerdy!S/O who "matches his freak", so to speak.
Anyway, that's pretty much it! Have a nice day/night!
TIM DRAKE NERDY HOBBIES HCS

Tim being into DnD is actually canon! The game he played in the comics was called Warlocks and Warriors
So, to what degree would he play? I think a pretty serious one
Not necessarily every week game night sort of thing, but at least once at month, or when he and his group can regroup to play together
I can see him going deep into the character making. Choosing the name accurately to the ability they have, the powers and so on
He wouldnât be necessarily into âsolvingâ games, like cluedo, for example. He is a vigilante, itâs a big part of him sure, but he also needs a break you know?
Games that represent too âcloseâ to his real life would be a no no from the get go. Monopoly, cluedo and anything of the sorts
He is the type to prefer table games. Regrouping with his friends and play cards or anything really, just makes his night
In terms of video games I can see him play mini games (?) like small horror, thrilling ones on his pc. Otherwise he enjoys going to the arcade more. 80/90s style games are more up to his liking
Though, something he really LOVES, is Pokémon. He has a Nintendo switch just to play Pokémon games
Guilty pleasure are cooking mama, animal crossing and super Mario
The type to download the sim just to recreate you guys on the game and your love life
Loves legos. Especially the big set ones, he finishes them so quickly
A star wars fan
I see him as someone who really would enjoy watching anime and reading manga
Definitely fantasy ones, especially ones with mythical creatures, aka vampires (?) idk I just get those vibes
But heavy on the type of anime that play mind games. That are filled with mysteries, foreshadows and twists, confusion and maybe dive slightly into psychology too
JJK, blue exorcist (manga), attack of titans, erased, Steins:Gate, detective Conan, the case study of vanitas, odd taxi, psycho pass, the perfect insider, black butler, death note, monster
He would love to go to anime conventions
Definitely the type to lose himself around the stands 24567 times
Buys way too much merch
Has an extended collection of Funko pops, mangas, collectors editions and figures
Very big on graphic novels, comics and fantasy books too!
He is into coding. Something he really enjoys is creating little interactive websites pages for his s/o
Like this one
Collects the most random shit. Like I imagine him travelling for missions, state to state or outside the US and all of the sudden he brought back a collection of the most obscure handmade thing he could find in that place.
Big into astronomy. Hell, he is the type to randomly say in a conversation âtoday Mars will be visible at so and so degree, so Iâm busy tonightâ (I donât even know if thatâs possible but thatâs besides the point)
Photography, although not as ânerdyâ, he loves it. His style is more urban leaning. He manages to capture what he wants in his work perfectly
lastly, HE DEFINETLY COSPLAYS!!! i mean, look at canon

I know my fellow artists and creators have been frustrated with the rise of AI on Pinterest and Google. Many of us find it difficult to serch for good references, tips, and general inspiration for art. So I want to share my collection of good, free websites for artists, designers, film makers, and creators so we can create without ugly AI images staring in our faces đ
Sketchfab
An incredible source for references.ïżœïżœ Has a huge collection of 3D animals, architecture, interior rooms, vehicles, food, objects, furniture, nature, memes, characters, etc etc etc. You can literally find several insanely detailed 3D models of the Notre Dame (this one is insane) Models can rotated at any angle as well as zoomed in and out. You can also change the view of the model to be matcap with flat, colorless planes, wireframe, or base color as opposed to fully rendered. Â
Cons: there are many uploads that are random and incredibly specific, which overwhelms the search. Can be excellent for game designers who want to download models but for artists looking for drawing references, you might have to dig a bit for what you want. Can be so fun for playing around and using crazy fun references for practicing.
Designspiration
As a photographer and graphic designer and someone who can doomscroll on pinterest forever, this is my favorite for finding inspiration for everything: typography, logos, product mockups, illustration, photography, web design, etc. Has an amazing feature where you can search for art with specific hex codes! Probably the coolest feature Iâve seen in search engines, and by far superior to google's color search. This site is mostly for design inspiration, but I feel like if you are super into moodboards, then this is the site for you too especially with the beautiful selection of photography.
Cons: I have no cons, I love this website so much and I used to be addicted to pinterest (still am actuallyđŹ) but this is easily my new favorite
Public Works by CosmosÂ
Thousands of artworks enter the public domain every year, and this website is a search engine for other 100,000 of those copyright free works. All of these works are free to edit, use, and sell with few restrictions.
Cons: I personally find the layout for the search feed a bit frustrating to look around in sometimes, because itâs not the typical "scroll up and down" website. But is very dynamic and overall fun to explore.
Same.energyÂ
This is a good visual search engine thatâs a good replacement for Google images and Pinterest. The minimal words makes it simple and easy, and clicking on an image you like to filter the feed to find similar images.
Cons: this is in beta so it still have some kinks to work out. It seems to struggle with specific searches and some of the images brought up in the search can be repetitive or not relevant. Â
Reference Angle
A website for finding face references in any specific angle and any expression for any gender and age.
Cons: I would love this website more if it gave you the ability to customize the light source, but sadly is not an option. I also feel like there is not a lot of racial diversity in the photos, and some of the images do not match the specific angle. But it is overall a great source for face references
Virtual Lighting Studio by zvork
A good source for light studies. You can change the source, direction, color, and brightness as well stacking several light sources on top of each other. Â
Cons: there isnât a way to angle the face or change the expression, so it is permanently in portrait mode. There are four different models and Iâm not the biggest fan of some of themâŠI like the black guy the best because he looks at me kindly instead staring into my soul like the two white guys. The ads are also a bit obnoxious and for the love of god DO NOT USE IN MOBILE!!! The ads are impossible to get rid of.
Film Grab
An archive of stills from a huge list of movies. Good for film makers, photographers, art studies, moodboards, inspiration, etc. Has a huge selection of movies and you can search by movie, director, costume designer, aspect ratio, year, genre, and country. You can also hit random post and it'll give you a random movie, which I think is really fun.
Cons: I do not recommend mobile. The mobile does not have the option to search for a specific movie, so you're forced to scroll through the giant A-Z list of directors or films to find the specific film you were looking for. Another con that I just discovered: a big-ass ad on the top of the website that occasionally advertises AI websites đ€ą (not shown on the screenshots I shared because ew)
Unsplash
Another image search website that has the feeling of Pinterest
Cons: some images are locked for premium only, and the feed is a bit frustrating to scroll through on mobile since they show the images one at a time instead of as a nice collage like pinterest. Some images can also be irrelevant to the search.
Sending lots of love to my fellow artists and creative peeps out there. AI sucks and it feels like it's overwhelming the creative space. But I promise there is a way to avoid it! Keep creating đ

enfĂłcate | tutor!miguel o'hara x reader

â pairing | tutor!miguel x student!reader, fake boyfriend!peter x reader
â type | explicit
â summary | jess is clear: miguel o'hara is a terrible boyfriend. he'll inevitably hurt you-- but peter has other ideas. or, you blow miguel in a library.
â tags | spanish tutor!miguel, bratty reader, a kiss with Peter, Miguel's jealousy, bjs, fake boyfriend!peter, slight obsessive qualities, fuck buddies, undefined relationships, fuck boy Miguel.
â reqs fulfilled | see here.
â sy's notes | the pov on this piece bothers me, it jumps between reader and Miguel. however, i did write two separate pieces for this request (a combined 25 pages vs my usual 11/12). so, i decided to meld them together to create this piece. anywho, if it bothers you, i understand! â€ïž I yoinked a lot of the Spanish from my Spanish learners textbook, hopefully, it's acceptable.

He knew he wanted you from the first day he saw you in the tea cafe.Â
Jess and he rarely visited the tea shop. It was settled on the edge of campus. Close to the social sciences and arts, but far from the work he did in the Genetics department. As a Ph.D. student, however, not all the work was done in the lab. Jess liked to see the different types of people that came to this tea cafe, where the chair cushions were fluffy emerald pillows and plants hovered overhead.
âMiguel? What's---âÂ
You stood apart from the other students with their sloppy, half-cropped, or frumpy appearances, there was a particular care you took to dressing. It was the embroidered bow in your hair that drew his attention. When you left to fetch a refill of chai, he noticed the soft, frilled socks in tiny ankle boots. He just knew you would taste sweet, leering as he watched you at the drink bar. Jess glanced in your direction, the way you adorably bowed your head after the tea artist gave you your drink, and just knew. Jess looked over her shoulder.Â
âNot her.â
Jessâs voice was a drawn-out sigh of your name, punctuated by her fist beating the table. Miguel perked at the mention of your name. Oh, so she knew you. She was probably sick of his shit. Good, he was also sick of being used as a vibe check for the lesbians she wanted to pick up.
âDonât you have enough side pieces?âÂ
Miguel didnât respond.Â
âShe probably has a boyfriend. Or a girlfriend. Look who she's with.âÂ
That finally got a response.Â
âYou donât know that,â he kept his eyes straight ahead. You caught him staring, wiggling your little fingers in a hello as you sat at a table. "I want her."
You sat with an incredibly frumpy, annoying photography student who once took his picture for the lab website. Could he be⊠his attention wavered when you pulled out a book: Español para el siglo. His lips quivered into a wildly sardonic grin. Oh no, no no. It was too easy.Â
âYouâll ruin her. Sheâs too innocent.âÂ
He leaned in.Â
âAre you going to help me or not?âÂ

âBuenas tardes,âÂ
Two chairs and a thin desk. The small study room was more of a glorified broom closet for its students. You were lucky that there was a large window that looked out over the student union, flowers blooming up its brick siding. Bits of lush dark green ivy poked into the windowâs view from the libraryâs tall wall. As the sun set on campus, rich orange and pink settled over the sunset on that warm Friday afternoon. At least the sight was pretty for how overwhelmingly small the space was.
It wasnât the space that bothered you. It was your tutor.
He was big-- big big. Not just a little big, but really big. The kind of big that was on bodybuilding competitions. It made his long, blue-grey muscle shirt and grey sweats look tiny, sucked to his well-pumped muscle. The room felt a lot smaller as you looked at him, his long brown hair whipped back over his neck. His eyebrows raised on his dark forehead, arms turning one over another, a bundle of muscle.
âAh... you're him? The man from the tea shop.âÂ
He pulled free his sunglasses and set them down. His warm chocolate eyes glanced from the edge of your now too-short skirt to the glint of a dagger necklace that beat between your breasts. Heâs staring. Why is he staring-- you finger the dagger between your thumb and index fingers, soothing yourself with the manipulation.
âMiguel.â He warmed, pulling the seat out beside him. His voice was buttery and smooth, almost like rich caramel. The lilt in his voice lightened, inviting you to take a seat by him. You should. You thought. Sit down. âSiĂ©ntate."Â
You stared.
"I said sit down.âÂ
That was a bad idea. You paused, slipping the bag down from under your shoulder and onto the beige tile by the door. Miguel watched every slight movement. Thatâs fine. Itâs natural to do that. You tugged the bottom of your skirt and took a seat beside him. Miguel pushed the chair back in, pushing your chest to the edge of the desk space. Oh-- oh boy, he was strong. Of course, he was, he was built like a--Â
âBueno. Now you're settled. How can I help you?âÂ
Do that again.
âMe? Oh! I... Jess said you could help me need to pass a test,â you murmured. The four semesters of Spanish seemed relatively easy compared to being stuffed next to this Adonis in this tiny study room. Your legs settled over your skirt, hands working over one another to will down the pulse of your wily excitement. What was wrong with you? âTo pass my language requirement.âÂ
You should have been able to do that alone but-- letâs say you werenât the most applied to the language in your childhood. A tutor was a great alternative to embarrassment and thousands of dollars in classes. If only he didnât look like⊠this. His large hand left the pasty back of your chair.
âHm,â he paused. âÂżPuedes hablar español?âÂ
âSĂ,â you murmured. âMy mami was-- well, I should have listened to her.âÂ
Hm.Â
You want to know what Hm means. Your leg tremored on its own accord. He swept a leather bag by his side up and pulled out a thick folder, running across several tabs. Lab notes, diet plans, pruebas.Â
âIt happens,â he notes, sliding a page free. âLetâs see how much you know, princesa.âÂ
Youâd be lying if you said you didnât want to know more, to hear the hum of Spanish bouncing off his lips. It was a world apart from your motherâs shrill screams on Saturday mornings to clean an already clean house. It held its own beauty and mystery when he spoke it. You took the page from him, setting it down on the bland tablespace by your phone, lighting up with a notification.
Jess When you meet Miguel, donât do it.
"ÂżPrincesa?" you asked.
"You dress like one. Donât worry if you fail,â you plucked out a pink mechanical pencil, complete with little animated characters tightened around the wrapping. You perked at his words, choking a small smile. âI expect you to.âÂ
Why was he like this? You took another unfortunate look at him, his large forearm plastered over the desk, making the book he had to look like peanuts in comparison. God, he was hot-- you felt comparatively hideous, drooling over a man that was out of your league. Maybe he could be your piece of eye candy this year. Your phone buzzed along the table again. Miguelâs eyes shot to it, a frown pulling at his lips.Â
Jess Donât fuck him. He canât keep his dick to himself.
He reaches over, flipping your phone down with an overworked smile sundering his expression. Itâs almost fake.Â
âAre youâŠâ you turned your eyes to the questions on the page. âA student?âÂ
âGrad student,â Miguel answered. So, older than you then. âI graduated with a BA in Spanish and a BS in Genetics.âÂ
âOh! A dual degree?â The man couldnât be normal. He had to do both. âDid it⊠take a while?â
âNo, it was accelerated.âÂ
He was unreal. There was no way this man was ordinary. It was physically impossible for the man to be that hot and successful. You scribbled across the page, nipping the back of your pencil at particularly hard questions.
âSo you just do this for⊠a living?â you asked him.Â
âI teach and train clients, yes.â
âTrain?âÂ
âGym,â Miguel set his cheek on his fist.
âI do cardio with Jess. No strength training for me.â Jess-- who suggested Miguel to you. You had some shit to bitch at her about the next time you saw her. Namely, why she didnât warn you about Miguel. He was a boon for chaos in your life.
âIâd waste your time. Iâm all marshmallow,â you pat your soft belly. âAll pan dulce and burros.âÂ
He chuckled.Â
âYou have a beautiful body.âÂ
And that was that. You set the pencil down on a page half full of answers, glancing toward his full lips. They were quirked into an arrogant smirk. He knew the effect he had on women. He glanced to the page, then to you, his lips growing into a smile laden with arrogance.Â
âYour hips--â he glanced down, âMy girls couldnât pay to get them.âÂ
He noticed. You supposed that the miniskirt wasnât the best choice for meeting a new man.
âDo you talk to everyone like this?â
âNo. Only the ones that look at me like you did."Â
Oh.Â
If it were a game of whom ate whom up first, you had to be honest-- it may have been you. You couldnât shoot anything back at that, angling your head down at the page guiltily. A sigh fell from his chest. His large hand came to the back of your head, cupping the thick bow on the back of your head. His fingers ran across the silk, teasing it between his fingers.
âCalm down, youâre not the first one to do it. You won't be the last,â he turned your head to look at him, large fingers combing through the strands of your hair. He chased the panic in your wide eyes, doe eyes blown wide. Your heartbeat soared into your chest, choking you there, looking for an outlet from your shame.Â
âBreathe for me,â he leaned in, his warm breath tingling your ear. His cologne was clean, like the lapse of the waves on the shore back home where the tropical heat was a second skin. You listened, taking a weary, deep breath in, then out again. Again.Â
âGo on.â His knuckles rapped on the sheet. Miguelâs hand fell away. You found yourself longing for it again.Â

âHeâs gorgeous.âÂ
âI told you not to fuck him," your superior, Jess said, her feet bouncing off the stairstepper effortlessly.
âI didn't-- I just, he called me beautiful.âÂ
âHe would call anyone beautiful if it meant fucking them. Donât fall for it.âÂ
You knew Jess wouldnât say it unless she were serious. She always knew what you needed help with, where to locate a good solution, and had the right words to calm you down.
âHow?â you said, louder than you intended. You were suddenly thankful for the pounding music that beat down on your ears in your schoolâs gym and the rush of people that came and went. âJess, youâre a lesbian. You donât understand-- heâs thick. Like, heâs luchador status big. Big, big.âÂ
âIâve dated some thick women.âÂ
âAnd he likes me,â you said pointedly, rushing to the topmost step, remembering his words. The way he calmed you down from your embarrassment, seeming without concern for his own body. It was⊠sweet. âMen usually donât like me, Jess. Iâm too⊠soft.âÂ
âOkay, girl, whatever,â you were pretty sure she rolled her eyes. âUnless youâre going to be another one of his fuck toys, just ignore him.â Â
âHow?â
Her stare trained on the floors lapsed. Thirty and she was still going. âIf you donât want him, just fire him. Whatâs going to do? Come find you?âÂ
You stopped for the entirety of five⊠or ten seconds. Enough to consider her words. Enough to quite literally get plop off the stair stepper and onto the cold floor. Jess exhaled a stale breath, reaching over to jam the STOP button on your machine. Ow.
âGood job.âÂ

Miguel likes to tutor you. Not because youâre good at Spanish, no, for a girl that grew up with a Spanish mother, your skills are quite poor. But he likes the opportunity to have you in a room all by yourself, late at night. Wednesdays are great days for that.Â
Your soft buttercup yellow dress is short today, exposing your thick thighs that take up so much of the chair. He pretends that heâs listening as you go over a list of irregular verbs, your lip pouting in response to the irregular verbs. Some were simple in their familiarity like poder with endings such as pudiste; but the plurals and other irregular verbs, you pouted at. It was cute.Â
âMiggy, itâs not funny, â Oh, nicknames now. Miguel throws a glance at your glossy lips, undoubtedly sticky but oh so soft looking.Â
âI never said it was.âÂ
âYouâre smirking.âÂ
âThen donât whine,â he said. âItâs cute.âÂ
âOh--â As to be expected, you shifted your hands between your legs, drawing your skirt in between your legs. He faltered and took a glance, coasting his eye over its edges and memorizing the way it fell over your skin. Youâll ruin her, he remembers Jess saying. She wasnât wrong, he sensed the bit of it now, how close you sat--Â
âTake a break, princesa. Vocabulary-- ascendencia.âÂ
Rather than take a break, you turned and caught the corner of his lips in what was a terrible, cherry-red kiss that would stain his skin. But the connection of your lips, puckered in a pouting kiss on his skin, caught him off guard.Â
âDescent,â you took his red pen out of his loose grip, scribbling descent by the word. Fuck. Miguel took a sip of now cold coffee. A smile kept pulling at his cheeks, looking out of the window and catching the slight reflection of your lipstick smeared across his lip and cheek, he bobs his head into a nod.
âCorrecto.âÂ

Youâre with Peter the first time you see Miguel with another woman.Â
Itâs at lunch. Tuesdays and Thursdays are regularly spent running to the College of Arts, waiting for Peter to get out, and a picnic. Today, you forgot to bring lunch, running off to the union hand wrapped around his elbow as he talked to you about a bright new camera lens filter.
âThese new pictures are going to come out perfect! Thanks for lending me the money,â he beamed. You loved the way he talked about his art-- stopping to show you his newest pictures of the camera that hung around his neck. Peter was always good with a camera, catching you in all the prettiest angles in your trade of photos for⊠sponsoring a lens or whatever. Or, at least, bringing down the cost. âLook at this one. Look how pretty you look in that dress, kinda like a pin-up! We should do someâa those next.âÂ
Feet thumping over the pavement, you failed to sense Miguel's presence until you smelled his peppery cologne carried on the air. There, on a bench, he sat next to a girl. She was pretty, with long dark hair and soft skin. Her hand was on his thigh and his arm around her shoulder, eating the last bit of a flaky empanada-- your eyes burned, the closeness of her head on his shoulder, clearly done and finished, waiting for whatever next plan he had. You donât want to know what that could be.
âHuh? Oh. hi Miguel!â Peter waved to your dismay. You held onto him a little tighter, wringing circles around his sleeve. Miguel spares you two a glance, his eyebrows pushing together. But he waves, lazy and short. You stifle the hot prick of tears at the corner of your eyes and yank Peter away. âWha-- Iâm coming, Iâm coming!"
Days later, Peter has a plan.
âIâve got it-- the solution to your tea guy problem! You should have told me sooner that it was Miguel.âÂ
Peter was very excited. Why, you werenât sure. He liked to feel helpful. Thatâs why he was a photographer. Photography lets others feel beautiful and seen. He picked at your lunch, his head flopped on your thigh as he worked through his camera.Â
âIâll be your boyfriend!â
âYou want to be my boyfriend?â you offered him a grape. He opened his mouth with an adorable âahâ of his his lips. You slipped the grape between his lips. He chewed appreciatively. âI donât know, Peter. Isnât it lying?âÂ
âCâmon, I know Miguel. Heâs macho. The kind of guy you have to make jealous. And I can do it! Iâm boyfriend material. Arenât I?â
âSĂ. But I donât think I can make him jealous.âÂ
It was a sunshiney day, sprawled out at lunch on a cool picnic blanket, tracing the clouds when you heard his voice. Soft, smooth, inviting. Your head spun around, this time with a lean blonde-haired girl-- her legs were long, tummy nice and flat, blue eyes shining like little sapphires set in her pale face. She swooned on his arm. The perfect sorority princess. What if he called her princesa, too?
â--close lab with me--âÂ
âI can do it myself.âÂ
Miguelâs eyes caught yours, raising his hand lazily to greet you as he walked down the sidewalk, undoubtedly back to his genetics lab on the other side of campus. Over where brilliant boys and girls and theys were, rushing through accelerated scientific programs while you figured out how to fix broken artifacts. He lived in another impossible world. A realm far away from Peter and you: photography and the maintenance of culture and art.
âHey, hey, hey,â Peter's eyes were glossy with concern. âItâs okay. We donât have to-- did I say something wrong?âÂ
You shook your head. Peter sat up, his eyes bounced up-- from Miguel over his shoulder to your sudden sad eyes. Peter set his hand on your cheek, the fibers of his soft pink cardigan tickling your jaw. Your eyes tore from Miguel, whose pace became sluggish as if steps along took immense effort. Peterâs nose bumped against yours, clumsy and oh so Peterish-- his hand on the middle of your back, his warm but cracked lips swallowing the gasp that tumbled from your lips. He tasted of sweet fruit, the sloppy lunch you shared, and a silly comfort.Â
He watching? Peter murmured against your lips.Â
You nearly forgot to return the kiss, captured in the way Miguel stared-- something in his warm brown eyes was almost wounded. Peter shoved you onto the picnic blanket, a soft sorry murmured under his breath as his thin frame fell between your legs. Miguel stomped away, his bumbling blonde rushing to keep up.Â
âOh yeah,â Peter rolled over onto his back, crossing his legs one over another. You watched Miguel stomp past the tall hedges, out of your line of sight. âHeâs gonna be mad at you.âÂ
âPeter!âÂ

Miguel was still in a bad mood hours later.Â
âÂĄQuĂ© surpresa!â he murmured, offering you your paper blotted with red circles. âYou did remarkably shit on this test. Do you focus on anything? Or just Peter?âÂ
âPerdona me.â Your focus was shot with his consistent presence in your life. Not that he could appreciate that.Â
âHow long are you going to keep wasting my time?âÂ
âAre you talking about the Spanish or--â
Miguel set the red pen down, a sharp slam snapping the pen under his force. The fragile plastic snapped into shards of plastic. He flicked it away, paper and pen both, his large hand flexing in and out of a closed fist. You traced the tracks of his veins along his forearm.
âAre you mad that I kissed you?âÂ
âStop.â
âOr are you angry that Peter did?âÂ
 âDonât touch me.âÂ
Though he said that, you didnât listen. You slid out of the chair and in between his spread legs, your hands trailing his handsome jawline. He jerked back when your lips caught his, the legs of his chair hitting the wall. Though he said no, his mouth opened to your kiss, and his palms flushed against your soft cheeks. You pinned him between your body and the wall-- and though you were sure heâd quickly whirl you off if he really wanted to, he didnât. His tongue pushed into your mouth, owning yours. His hands skimmed your back, trailing lower and lower down your deep red dress until he connected with your ass.Â
âYou need to stop.â Miguel broke from his kiss. Though he said that, he brought you onto his lap. You felt little in his large arms, his hands guiding your hips over his crotch. âBefore I do something youâll regret.â
You listened to the sounds of the libraryâs floor. The scrunch of take out into the trash, the sing of a door opening and closing. It was dinner time. Most everyone had gone to get their snacksâ and here you were, looking down at Miguel with rapt eyes.Â
âPeter is just a friend.âÂ
âA friend who happens to jam his tongue down your throat,â he turned the word over on his tongue and found offense in it. âNow why do I doubt that?âÂ
âHe only wanted to help.â
âBy kissing you?âÂ
Your fingers trailed his jaw, dipping back down for another kiss if only to say you could. That Miguel couldnât tell you what to do. A sound of frustration ripped up his throat. You felt him, his dick twitching to life behind those sweatpants. He felt big. You bit your lower lipâ a movement that didnât escape his attentive eyes.Â
âBy making you as jealous,â You slid off his lap and onto the dirty floor. But as you lifted a hand, cupping his dick through the heavy fabric, he couldnât bear to stop you.Â
His lips pulled in a wicked grin, your soft palm stroking along his length. He hooked his thumbs into his sweats, yanking them down over his knees and onto the floor. His cock kissed his belly, straining with droplets of moisture at the tip. Miguel set his hand on your shoulder and forced you to heel on the floor. His temperament evened out. âYou were jealous.âÂ
âYes--â you murmured. âAre.. those girls, are they special?âÂ
âSpecial? No, none of them are.âÂ
âI want to be.âÂ
âThat so?â Your soft hands trailed along the dark hair on his calves, up his thighs, settling your nose where his muscular hand tightened around the root. He wrenched his swarthy hand along his length, drawing along his veiny cock shamelessly. "Let's see how much you do, princesa."
âPlease.â
âAquĂ se habla español.â Miguel teased. Your fingers dipped down, small tickles of your fingertips as his heavy balls. He watched you massage them with half-lidded eyes, his lips pursing in a pleased hum.Â
âPor favor.âÂ
âAbre,â you did, sliding your soft mouth open, a well of saliva on your tongue. Miguel slid himself into your warm mouth, a ruptured groan fizzing in his chest. You didnât want to be too loudâ someone might look into the small window on the door, and see you on your knees between Miguelâs thick legs, sucking his cock down when you should be going over that test you just failed.Â
You caught the salty beads at Miguelâs top on your tongue, sliding sloppily around his thick head, and lapping at his slit for more. Your soft hands stroked along his length, clumsy and shy. He hummed in approval, a sound you were more than thankful to elicit. Miguel took a fist full of your hair and drove himself into your mouth, your tongue stroking the underside of his length.Â
âPero mira esto,â Miguel wrenched his head in your hair, grabbing handfuls of it in his palm. âYou can focus on something. Sucking my dick.â
Even if you wanted to look up, Miguel drove your head down onto his dick, the dark, trimmed tuft of his pubic hair tickling your nose. He drew his hips back. You nearly pulled off him, if not for his hand assuring that you wouldnât move off of it. Drool coursed down from your lips, soaking your chin and neck, connecting to his cock as if it were a spiderweb. Your cheeks flushed with bloodâ you must have looked a mess.Â
âCoño," Miguel tutted with his tongue, grasping his phone. Your lips pursed around his tip, eyes flickering up to catch the lens of his phone camera on your ruined face. A picture or a video, you werenât entirely sure. Only that it sent thumps of pleasure down your core to know he wanted to record it, keep it close. You suckled along his sensitive head, working his moans free. He set his phone aside.Â
Miguel stood and dragged your head along with him to pin you between the ledge of the desk space and his wonderful hips. His hands slipped behind your head, keeping you still and steady, driving himself deep into your mouth. Past your tongue, down your throat, it felt like he hit parts of you that you could only dream of. You struggled with his size, choking the urge to swallow him when he forced you to hold him there. As if your throat was just a hole for his pleasure. Your sad attempt to suckle him down was tempered by the rocking of his hips, his needy face fucking. Your eyes screwed shut, bits of color dancing behind your eyes, the easiest way to deal with this was to focusâ on the way he tasted, the scent of his fresh body wash, the light judder of his hips as he came close.Â
"Hah-- ay, quĂ© rico," his nails scraped the back of your neck, sloppy and undefined thrusts filling your throat. He spurts thick ropes of his cum down your throat and mouth, withdrawing to jerk the last bursts of his cum over your lips. Miguelâs breath fell from his lips in heavy gulps, meeting yours down on your aching knees. Strings of coughed-up cum connected your sodden lips to his cock, globs of his seed slipping between your breasts. You ached.Â
âTate quieta.âÂ
You donât know where youâd go, your palms catching yourself on the floor. He snapped another photo, humming appreciatively. Miguel reached into his gym bag, pulling a sweaty shirt free. Your fingers dipped into his warm cum that spattered across your warm chest, drawing it to your lips. He tasted salty, tangy, and just right.
"You look so-- so beautiful, princesa, just perfect," Miguel bent down, wiping the rest of his mess from your chest and face, gently stroking away all evidence of your face fucking before cleaning his cock and tucking himself away into his sweatpants. He chucked the t-shirt back into his bag, glazing his eyes over your hazy, exhausted eyes. He crouched down.Â
âRule one, I never share my women,â he settled his knuckle under your chin, urging you to look him in the eyes. Something told him you wouldn't be as easy as the others, but for some reason, he shrugged the thought aside. âAs long as I'm fucking you, you date no one but me. If I find out you are, we're done. Am I clear?â
He was a walking red flag. But for once, in your good girl life, you wanted that. You wanted to fuck in the library-- against the genetics building late at night-- to kiss him during a sunny picnic. More than you wanted a lot of things. His eyes went soft with your answer.Â
âClaro que sĂ, Miggy.â
He loves it when he gets what he wants.

hi! i am not sure if you will have good advice for this but your photography guide made me think about this issue. i grew up quite poor (school supplies were a struggle every september) and now as an adult i am not as financially stable as id like. this has made me very scared to use any art supplies because im always thinking that im wasting them on not good enough projects or not good enough skills or similar thinking. however that leads to me having supplies bc of gifts and whatnot (ie watercolor paper) but not using it out of anxiety. do you have any advice? thanks!
There are two ways that I go about getting over this kind of issue:
Get out the supplies right now and start making any marks. Cut a piece of watercolor paper in half. Draw a line down the center of a page in grease pencil. Do anything to just start using it to get over the "can't open it, must save for special occasions/projects" mindset. Once you've broken the seal on a first use, it's a lot easier to use tools or notebooks or paints a second time.
Plan projects for yourself like they're assignments. Give yourself a deadline and materials list, write it up like a school assignment sheet, and then do the assignment.
And, if it helps to think of it this way: you're likely hesitant to use your materials because you don't want them "going to waste," but at the moment they are being wasted because they aren't being used.
It is solidly my opinion that art supplies used for art are never wasted; not all "art" is meant to be kept and a part of the process of creating art is practice, which should lead to massive piles of clumsily made, "bad" art that you wouldn't want to hang up on the wall but is nonetheless a part of the process of making art that you'd want to hang on the wall.
You may be looking at the watercolor paper and thinking "I shouldn't break into this because each piece of this paper needs to be something special to show that I value this gift" but you don't get better at painting with watercolors if you use them on printer paper. You need to use the paper (and the paints, and your brushes) to maintain and improve your fluency with the medium.
Many people are hesitant to "waste" sketchbooks or good paper or canvas or expensive paint because they think they are throwing away the good things they *could* make if only the had the perfect plan and create the perfect piece of art with each page and each new tube.
But these things are consumables. Your sketchbook is not a guitar, and it is not a finished song, it is a set of strings. The lovely watercolor paper is a gift for you to make art with, but it is also a gift for you to *practice* making art with and the practice is just as much a part of the gift as a finished artwork would be.
So you're not wasting it if you just get out your paper and start painting with no plan, or if you "mess up" a piece, or if you just use the paper for practice.
So, if you're trying to get yourself to use watercolor paper specifically, I have an assignment for you:
Watercolor Thumbnails Assignment
Materials: Watercolor paper, 2 colors of paint (your choice), Hard pencil Tools: Ruler, Small and medium brushes, Palette
Instructions:
Using your pencil and your ruler, divide the page into 10 equal rectangles.
Visit this website and click the "surprise me" button. Select 10 artworks to create monochrome thumbnails of. (you can click as many times as you need to, but the goal here is to do thumbnails of art that you aren't familiar with rather than seeking out art that you know well for this assignment)
Reproduce each of the images as a monochrome thumbnail in the ten rectangles you've marked on your paper. You don't have to mix a unique color for each rectangle, but you should mix a few different colors and use only one for each rectangle. For instance, if you are using green and yellow paint, some images should be yellow, some should be green, some should be green-yellow, some should be yellow-green.
Purpose:
To use your materials
Work on achieving different values with single colors by layering or diluting your paint.
Composition study
Time Limits:
Once you have collected your ten images and have your station set up, you should take no more than one hour to complete your thumbnails.
Due Date: July 20th 2024

If you are not familiar with watercolor, here's a good video on some of the basic techniques for painting with watercolor:
And this is a good example of a monochrome painting done in watercolor; if you want, you can watch the video and use it as a tutorial to practice getting a feel for monochrome painting.
youtube
Use this assignment to practice! Make use of the gift that you were given by familiarizing yourself with the medium and thinking about art and working in color.
I'm going to play along too and will reblog this post with my thumbnails on July 20th - anyone who wants to join in is welcome to do so as well.
And everyone please remember: time and materials spent doing something you love or practicing a skill you enjoy are never wasted. Even if you don't end up with a "good" finished product, you have learned something and that, in itself, is valuable.

So I made a whole brand haha
Okay so to preface, this was part of an assignment that was for my finals for a class, and i kind of really liked how it turned out over all, mostly because the concept itself i had made i treated it rather lightly- which ended up being a lot of fun!!!
So, this is my informal presentation of that! Mostly because i put a lot of work into it and i want to share!
SO... lemme introduce you to...
Periwig!
(long text post ahead btw)
OK, so how do i start off?
As previously mentioned this was made for class, so anything here is actually not real and a lot of images are taken from pinterest or just google in general and put together, so whatever you see in regards to photography is not mine! Everything else IS. (like buttons and designs and the like)
So, what's Periwig? As the name suggests, it's a wig making brand!

Ah yes, very silly. Or that's what i had initially thought when in the concept stage. I didn't take a very serious approach in regards to this mostly because i wanted to focus on having fun with it.
The brand itself also takes this approach, since i imagined it being led by a small team, so the brands voice and tone more so speaks like a friend! Here's an example, since i know in screenshots the scroll boxes are going to cut off text:
"Periwig started as a college assignment.
No, really â what youâre looking at right now literally began as a basic web-making project for a design class, built with more caffeine than sleep and a very chaotic amount of glitter.
It wasnât meant to be a real brand at first. But the idea â something playful, cute, and deeply personal â wouldnât leave [koi] alone. She kept sketching wigs, silly characters, colorful layouts. It felt like something bigger was quietly growing behind the scenes⊠something she couldnât ignore.
With the help of a few amazing online friends (you know who you are đ«¶), Periwig slowly started to bloom. They brainstormed late at night, shared doodles and silly color palettes, and imagined a little world where creativity, self-expression, and cutesy weirdness were celebrated. Thatâs when Peri was born â our little puppet girl mascot, stitched together with love and used as the main model and spirit of the brand. Sheâs bubbly, curious, and maybe a little unhinged (in a good way).
Periwig isnât just about wigs (though, yes â we love wigs).
Itâs about art, character, and style â the freedom to become who you want to be, whether thatâs through a new hairstyle, a colorful character design, or a puppet dancing in a product video.
Our brand blends animation, design, storytelling, and fashion to bring a bit of whimsy into your everyday routine. Every wig, brush, accessory, and campaign is created with a strong love for playful expression and handmade charm â and a lot of laughter behind the scenes.
This is a place for people who like to experiment. To perform. To dress up, go bold, be subtle, be strange, be dreamy, be loud, be soft â be whoever you want.
Whether youâre here to find your next favorite wig, fall in love with Peri, or just vibe with the art â weâre so happy youâre here. đ«
Thanks for being part of our story,
with love,
The Periwig Team (and Peri, too!)"
but wait, who's Peri? I'm glad you asked!!
Originally i had no intentions for a mascot or any sort of representative figure for the brand, but after looking at the color palette and the logo i had designed, i had thought of making a character off of it! and thus, Peri was born!
Peri... periwig... peri's wigs... yes yes i laughed about it and yes i know it is very dumb. I had actually made Peri after i had already started making the website prototype, only till i got to halfway into the homepage did i realize having one might help me "take up space" and help with the overall design, while also being a "voice" for the brand.
here's the description about her, since it also is caught off in the scroll box:
"Our wig fairy guide & fashion-loving friend!
Say hello to Peri, the official face (and heart!) of Periwig!
Sheâs a bubbly little puppet girl with a big imagination, an even bigger closet, and an even bigger love for wigs, makeup, and playing dress-up.
Peri lives for fashion in all its forms â sheâs not tied to any one style, and she loves mixing things up. One day sheâs soft and pastel, the next sheâs bold and dramatic. To her, fashion is about exploring who you are and having fun with it, not following rules.
Sheâs always collecting accessories, trying new looks, and experimenting with makeup. Youâll never catch her in the same outfit twice if she can help it!
Every time we drop a new collection or announce a collaboration, Peri gets a whole new makeover inspired by the theme â itâs her favorite part of the job.
Periâs mission is simple:
To encourage everyone to embrace their creativity, be playful with their style, and express themselves however they want â especially through wigs! đ
She hopes youâll join her in making fashion feel like fun again. âš"
she's essentially this brands version of Barbie, except well... puppet version. and the funniest thing, i hadn't thought that her hair and skin colors matched Wally until after the fact, t'was unintentional! but the color combination works, so it stayed.
As for the actual website itself... well... i did a lot to try to make it nice. Especially since Adobe XD was such... a piece... of... interesting software.... (in terms of using it for the first time, haha!)
here are some screenshots of what it looks like at the current moment when looking through the save file!
of course this is just looking at it design wise... it is a *prototype* so all the buttons and links actually do work!
that's where you get funky wires like this, since all the buttons link back to pages and such... honestly, i had believed actually linking everything to together and making it functional would be the time consuming part, but you would be SURPRISED. The actual DESIGNING of the website is the part that takes the most time, which i had... definitely underestimated it.
These pages and closeups are honestly the parts i like the most, and the ones the most finished So i thought some closeups might be appreciated!
But yes, i hope you liked my informal presentation of the brand! There's more i have, but i thought to only just show the designed parts, since the rest is just technical information like target audience, and audience habits and the like.
but yea this was the main reason as to why i was just... dead... among other things as well, but hopefully with the small break im on i'll be able to post more!
#my art#web design#dudeeee this took sooo long to make you would have no idea.#adobe is the bane of my existence.#periwig#peri#i actually love love love peri i might make her a proper oc#or just draw her more in general#i think it would be silly... she's just a girl...#sanrio my beloved#yea that collab announcement is just me daydreaming

The Binding Tide | Nicholas J R White

In 2025, Signal Film and Media commissioned photographer Nicholas J.R. White to photograph the English port town of Barrow-in-Furness, creating a contemporary response to the iconic Sankey Photography Archive â a unique collection of imagery that captures the industrial and social heritage of Barrow-in-Furness and the surrounding areas. Â The result is The Binding Tide, a new series that offers a fresh perspective on the landscapes, communities, and waters that define this region, weaving together its working heritage and coastal identity with an eye to both its past and its evolving future. This work comes at a time when the townâs social and political landscape is undergoing significant change, with Barrow recently being awarded 'Royal' status for its role in the UKâs nuclear submarine program. The Binding Tide offers an alternative view on the townâs evolving identity and its relationship to the surrounding environment.

Great Egret in Black and White

This is a Great Egret (Ardea alba) captured in striking black and white. The color version of this photograph is equally captivating, with water reflecting a kaleidoscope of vibrant huesâperhaps I'll share that one in the future. I took this image in Georgia a little over two years ago. I love how the water ripples outward in gentle circles from the bird and how its partial reflection adds a delicate touch to the scene.
"Though it mainly hunts while wading, the Great Egret occasionally swims to capture prey or hovers (somewhat laboriously) over the water and dips for fish." - allaboutbirds.org
If you enjoy black-and-white photography, Iâve created a dedicated category in my gallery just for these images. Feel free to explore!
