In RWBY Volume 5, Raven Branwen demonstrated that she and her brother Qrow can turn into birds due to Ozpin's magic. When confronting Oz on it, Yang seemed pretty upset.

Fans have wondered why turning into a bird is such a bad deal, when RWBY Chibi already answered that question;

"BIRDS CAN'T SEE GLASS!"

Fun Fact! Owls and Corvids, such as crows and ravens, have a sort of rivalry with each other to the point that corvids will gang up on a single owl that enters their territory while owls will single out lone crows. Part of this rivalry is a result of both animals being intelligent enough to hold grudges.

while his days of being an alcoholic causing trouble everywhere he went were over now, he still couldn't get rid of that bad reputation he earned from back in those days

qrow really tried to get along with your parents, starting small talk over something like the weather or their hobbies, but always being shut down

it became clear that they didn't like him. even you began to notice that they weren't giving qrow a chance!

while that first meeting with your parents didn't go well, qrow was determined to show them he's a changed man!

he's certain he'll win them over during the next family meetings! one way or another…

if he can't win them over with kindness, he'll just have to give them a piece of his mind and tell them to give him a chance without holding prejudice against him!

after all, they already hate him, so it's not like he'd ruin anything by being blunt with them!

Qrow: Today, I only have Crocea Mors left to giuve. It's a sword and shield, and the shield doubles as a sheath.
