why cant i just be like other people? im tired of being me... it feels like they dont want me anymore and im being left out of place again. Im tired of being what i become. hope i can rest soon. i badly need to.
i am once bright
innocent like light
but they tricked me
i become fool, and envy.
they become my enemy
until my hatred grow
it scape from reality
now i am traped and tied
In the prison i made inside
even i sream for help
no one can hear me outside
i am scared and still no one cared
now i know why no one ever help
maybe because i am evil,
Ugly and stupid to be saved
so i stop and think
i dont need their help
they made me like this
then they should be the one
to adjust in the word
where i too exist.

Śavāsana: The Art of Letting Go
Tumblr media
The final posture, often seen as simple, is anything but.
In Śavāsana, we practice dying - not in fear, but in freedom. We lay everything down: thoughts, habits, roles, even the idea of self.
Just as trees shed their leaves to survive the winter, we too are invited to release what no longer supports our growth.
Śavāsana is a sacred pause. A ritual of rest. A quiet conversation with the mystery. We return from it renewed, emptied, and ready to begin again
The Power of Stillness: Why We Honour a Full 10-Minute Śavāsana
“Don’t skip the stillness - it’s where the magic happens.”
At Yoga Nature, we always allow space for at least ten minutes of Śavāsana at the end of each class. That’s not an afterthought - it’s the heart of the practice.
In a world that glorifies productivity and speed, Śavāsana (pronounced shah-VAH-suh-nah), or corpse pose, may seem like a luxury - a quiet lie-down before you move on with your day. But this final resting posture is where the nervous system integrates everything. It is the moment of ripening, of deep absorption, of return.
Let us explain why we never rush this sacred pause - and why we encourage you not to either.
🌿Stillness is a Practice
Śavāsana isn’t simply lying down. It’s deep conscious rest. It’s a space where we allow the body to settle, the breath to soften, and the mind to be gently aware without doing. It’s a threshold state - not sleep, not activity, but a place of profound restoration.
The body’s systems re-align.
The energy you’ve stirred during your asana practice finds its balance.
And the wisdom of the practice - whether physical, emotional or energetic - is quietly absorbed.
🌕 Why a Minimum of Ten Minutes?
Scientific research and yogic tradition both support the need for at least 8–10 minutes of stillness to allow:
The parasympathetic nervous system (rest + digest) to fully engage.
Muscle memory and neuromuscular patterns to recalibrate.
A state of alpha brainwaves, linked to creative insight, integration and peace.
Emotional processing, particularly when longer holds or heart-openers have been involved.
Anything less, and we short-circuit the benefits of the practice. Imagine planting a seed and then pulling it out before it roots. Śavāsana is where the rooting happens.
🌺 What You Might Notice With a Regular 10-Minute Śavāsana
Better sleep and mood
More resilience to stress
A deeper connection to self
Feeling calmer, clearer, more grounded in your day
Subtle shifts in awareness or perspective.
In seasonal yoga, this restful state aligns with Winter energy - the Yin, the lunar, the turning inward. But it is needed year-round to balance our outward-facing lives.
🕉️ The Deeper Symbolism of Śavāsana
Śavāsana literally translates as “corpse pose.” In lying still, we symbolically practice letting go - not just of tension, but of identity, roles and attachments. In this quiet shape, we are gently acquainting ourselves with the reality that we, too, will one day die. It’s not morbid - it’s liberating. Because each time we rest here, we also practice dying to what no longer serves us: habits, thoughts, expectations, relationships, clutter, striving.
In Śavāsana, we let go of life itself - and in doing so, we return to it more fully.
🌙 The Practice of Receiving
So when you lie down at the end of class, know this: You’re not doing nothing. You’re doing everything. You are saying: Yes to rest. Yes to healing. Yes to being rather than doing.
At Yoga Nature, we honour that. And we hold space for your Śavāsana as sacred.
"Practice, and all is coming… but rest, and all is received."
Come lie down with us...

The Yogic Anatomy of the Koshas:  The Anandamaya Kosha and Deep Rest
The time we spend in the Anandamaya Kosha is a time of deep rest for all aspects of our being.
The Anandamaya Kosha, the subtlest of the koshas, bodies, sheaths, or dimensions is commonly translated as the “Bliss Body” .  Commonly is an important adverb here – as “nanda” is joy in form and “a” is often creates an opposite.  So, bliss, yes, but bliss beyond form. For starters we may want to distinguish between the state of ecstasy that can be achieved by high vibing our practices through…

So one thing I’ve noticed is that people’s DnD characters may vary but there is usually an underlying thread that they all have in common. This thread is typically related to what that person struggles with the most.
For instance, my betrotheds DnD characters: a bitchy warlock we had to bust out of two different pacts, a sassy barbarian, a reformed drow cultist, and a sunshine fighter cleric.
All these characters were wildly different but at their very core struggle was them grappling with their self worth. My betrothed struggles with their worth a great deal and even with different facets showing their characters all have that too.
Mine all tend to contend with different themes of loneliness and acceptance. Surprise, surprise, the little autistic gremlin yearns to have been met with more love and lasting friendships.
So we’re at breakfast. I am meeting a new friend of my betrotheds for the first time. It’s been twenty minutes since I’ve met this man. I say my theory. He laughs. He starts to describe a few of his characters but specifies that he often has healing aspects. He gives a very broad overview of their character arcs.
I ponder for a moment then said, “Would you like to have my assessment?”
He laughed, “Sure!”
“We’ve just met. It’s gonna get real.”
“Bring it on.”
“I think your struggle is that you feel you must offer something of value or service to people to be worthy of their love.”
His jaw dropped. His fork froze midway to his mouth. A potato fell. He stared into space as this sank in. Quietly he said, “Oh.”

Stanley Pines is dying.
A good samaritan on the street found his unconscious body and decided to call an ambulance for him. Stan doesn’t remember everything that happened. He just knows that a few days and a multitude of tests later, he was unceremoniously diagnosed with a terminal illness in a random hospital in the middle of Oklahoma. Emphasis on terminal. The doctors tell him that without treatment, he has maybe two weeks to live.
Stan can’t afford treatment, nor the hospital bill he’s sure to be slapped with from his current stay. He sneaks out during the night shift and disappears. It’s one more debt added to the list but it’s not like it’s going to matter once he’s dead anyway. He finds the last place he left his car and spends the rest of the night awake in the backseat, wondering what he should do.
In the end, the conclusion is obvious: he wants to see his family. To say his final goodbyes to them in person. However, this brings a new dilemma. Stan’s family are all in different places. His parents in New Jersey, Shermie in California, and Stanford in Oregon. Stan, currently in Oklahoma, is stuck in the middle and with a decision to make.
He can’t visit them all. As much as he’d like to, Stan has neither the money, the gas, or the time to do so. He’d probably die before he could see all of them. He only has enough energy and resources to make it to one of them; he’ll have to be content with phone calls to the others to say his goodbyes.
When the morning comes, Stan gets into the driver’s seat and starts the engine of the car. He sits there for a moment, just breathing deeply. He has to pick a family member to see in person before he dies, and he doesn’t have a lot time, so he has to choose quickly.
It was never really a question.
He chooses Ford.
AKA a terminally ill Stanley makes his way up to Gravity Falls, Oregon to reunite with his brother. He wants to say his goodbyes and apologies in person before he dies. He’s not happy about dying, but he doesn’t think he has much to live for anyway, so he accepts it. He just wants to make things right between himself and Ford before it happens so he can go without regrets.
Stanford is not expecting his estranged twin to randomly show up looking like he’s literally on death’s door. Nor is he approving of Stanley’s plan to seemingly just lay down and die. Good thing Stan came to him. Now he’s given Ford a chance to do something about it.
All current research and projects get shoved aside as Ford focuses everything he has on a new, single task: take care of Stanley and save his life.
(Amazing addition by tinfoil-jones here)
