Mutual Aid Post

I'm about 300$ short on bills this month after having a dental emergency. I see people I follow share mutual aid posts somewhat regularly so I am hoping for a little help as well.

fun fact, if you live with someone and they die, even if your spouse is their legal, blood daughter, the probate court might still make you sell the house even if you have nowhere else to go and can't afford rent and you're already dealing with a mess of your own medical issues and resulting debt(which is an entirely different stresser we've been dealing with over the last year), just to cover their debts!

fun fact 2, I still have a bankruptcy on my credit report so guess how hard it's going to be to get a mortgage, which would be a lot cheaper then rent!

oh my god thank you for those tags about wisdom tooth surgery! my wisdom teeth grew in sideways so I've been scared to get them out, and I thought it'd be crazy expensive since I'll probably need all 4 out plus they've ruined the teeth in front of them. knowing that I can ask about getting them done in a hospital because they're going to require pretty invasive surgery (since they won't grow in fully) and not have to pay for it is a godsend, thank you!

No problem! Just bears repeating that I'm in Ontario (I'd hate for u to have missed that part and get ur hopes up and then if ur not in Ontario u get disappointed) but yeah it's a neat little loophole!

Look into booking an appointment with an oral surgeon (I'm not sure if u need a referral, but if u do any dental clinic will give u one but you'll probably have to pay for that appointment and any x rays they take) and discuss your options with the surgeon!

**Obligatory disclaimer I'm not a dentist and I'm not super familiar with the process of having your wisdom teeth removed in a hospital since I'm just starting to look into it now for myself, so I could be and probably am missing key details about this whole exception process. Definitely don't take my word for gospel and do some research/talk with a dental surgeon!**

Wish you could like... sue your depressed for all the time and money it costs to take care of it and anything else that results from it.

I never wanted depression so why do I need to pay for the things that make me not want to off myself? (Pills/therapy/etc.)

For the rest of my life I'll need to pay for the things that are gonna keep me alive because of something I cannot control. I can't just tell my brain 'hey, work properly so we don't wanna fucking die'

If I hadn't been depressed in school I would've planned ahead, I would have been better than where I am today.

I never thought I'd get to 18 and I'm gonna be 26 in April. I don't blame past me because they weren't doing well. Unmedicated. I don't wanna go back to that. It was scary. Actively thinking it's easier to die is fucking terrifying.

Living is so fucking expensive.

yesterday I got 3 cavities filled and the sound of the dentist drill was very high pitched and painful (even though I had my headphones on and music going) and I thought it would worsen my tinnitus but it actually seems to have lessened it??? I don't know how that works but I've got another appointment in exactly a month to get more cavities fixed and I'm now really happy about that
