I know its not canon but I always liked the idea that Flurry Heart grew up to be a normal pony. Never went on any princess-title-earning quest, no grand magical destiny, no real royal responsibilities. Just a normal pony (who happens to be an alicorn) free to enjoy life with her friends and hobbies

How to get into Coding!
Coding is very important now and in the future. Technology relies on coding and in the future you will need to know how to code to get a high-paying job. Many people consider having Computer Science field-related jobs, especially in AI. What if you are interested it in general or as a hobby? What if you don't know what you want to do yet for college?
Pick a language you want to learn: Personally, I started out with HTML and CSS. I recommend if you want to do web design HTML and CSS are good languages to start with. Otherwise, start with JavaScript or Python.
2. Find Resources: Basically you want to look at videos on YouTube, and take classes that have coding like AP CSP, AP CS A (harder class), Digital Information Technology, etc. You can also attend classes outside in the summer like CodeNinjas and use websites like code.org, freeCodeCamp, and Codecademy. Also, ask your friends for help too! You can find communities on Reddit and Discord as well.
3. Start Practicing: Practice slowly by doing small projects like making games for websites and apps. You can work with friends if you are still a beginner or need help. There's also open-source coding you can do!
4. Continue coding: If you don't continue, you will lose your skills. Be sure to always look up news on coding and different coding languages.
5. Certifications: If you are advanced in coding or want to learn more about technology, you can do certifications. This can cost a lot of money depending on what certification you are doing. Some school districts pay for your certification test. But if you take the test and pass, you can put it on your resume, and job recruiters/interviewers will be impressed! This can help with college applications and show initiative if you want a computer science degree. This shows you are a "master" of the language.

Also I am VINDICATED that literally all bosses and p.e.s at my new job has said to me "wow you're good at this. This is the fastest anyone has picked this up. You'll advance fast if you actually stay here" Because I can spot design flaws that take like idk engineering sense? I just know what kinds of things are important in design.
So vindicated that I'm a good engineer. Vindicated that I held that company together. They can keep it going (because I set them up to be able to do that) but there is nothing to hold them together. I told the principals that what they'll lose with me is someone to make sure all the parts of the business work together and someone who can make holistic solutions, and that's what they're seeing.
The implication was always that I wasnt a talented engineer. That's what they thought from literally week two (which I know from sources). I wonder what about me made them think in two weeks I was bad at engineering 🤔 I wonder what about me made them think that when I was still learning things like who our customers were and being introduced to people 🤔 literally before I ever took on an engineering project 🤔 not sure! A mystery!
As I was saying in the 'think of things no one has thought of' business class: I have come up with industry standard systems. Is it small? Yes. But it was 100% my design with no co-designers.
#totes bro#is this me not being humble? maybe#but I legitimately think im good at engineering. like i really think im not bad at it#now that everyone around me keeps telling me im good at engineering at the new job (lol)#working in an over 50% female (over 50% nonwhite too) office is great because people dont automatically assume im an idiot#the misogyny in engineering is unbearable#apparently all of the contractors my coworkers work with commit misogyny crimes regularly so its not my imagination#also our whole kind of thing is men make us do their work for them for free because we check for the publics interest#and they dont even try to work inline with what is best. they just try to get away with shit.#EXCEPT for the female PEs! they try to do a good job! so we dont have to pick up their slack#anyway women are simply better engineers. having everyone assume youre bad at engineering makes you better imo#will anyone ever tell you youre better? no.#OH. ALSO. at my last job if the fraud engineer sales guy presented my solutions and products as his own he would get praise from customers#so i eventually stopped saying things were my designs because at least i could get credit that they were good when he presented them#this isnt engineering ethics this is me bitching about misogyny#also with the last post all fields are subject to the military industrial complex. let mech e (and aerospace but you should have known) is#a specific hell because its such a conservative engineering still

unforutinely had a dogshit day and the dude im training at work came up to me and said something innocuous about how he found out how i trained him is probably slightly incorrect and he found the REAL way to do it and all i could do was go "okay! that is so awesome. you could do that and its fine to do" and give him a big thumbs up and he could smell that i was hiding something that was leaking out of my skull and he was like "im just sayin..."
and he is right but i dont know how to convey to him that i dont care at all about what im doing and dont care about proper ways of technically doing shit and he's always finding dumb little inconsistencies or asking me about processes that i know genuinely dont fucking matter/care about from the more experienced people who trained me who didnt get in trouble/care either and i wish i could grip the dude by the shoulders and say like "hey man you could rub what we're installing in mud and oil and dirt and then put it in the machine and i do nooooot care i dont care about it" and chuck him across the building

Stoooop now I have to ask what you think the other jobs are good matches for him?!?!
oh, fun, fun !!! though now that i'm thinking about it, they're all honestly very similar, just different Flavors (TM) LOL
my first and favorite one is you working as a lil' protégé of masaru !! and i like to hc that his job is still in fashion, but also in the hero world ?? so i put him as a designer of support items ! getting blue-prints of all the parts that are needed, making sure they're cohesive with the theme of a hero outfit while still being effective. and my favorite thing about this one is that you can write it as, like, someone that knows his family bc of it ? but you could also write it as strangers to lovers, or whatever. like i'd love to write a fic in which bakugou knows who you are because you've come to dinner parties and stuff at his parent's house, he's seen you in his dad's office — so like he knows OF you, and is maybe a little jealous of all the time you spend with his dad and how much masaru likes you LOL, but he doesn't know you personally, and then something would go from there.
my other favorite is, like i said, very similar, but it's being in actual hero costume design, and maybe working on his or something. a job that puts you working professionally with him, but not necessarily for him ?? but you two have to email and have meetings and you'll sketch what changes he wants to make. you're not actually making any of the support items, but you're working around the way they're designed so that it would still look good with his outfit. so it's almost like the sister-job to the previous one !! and i like this one because you can grow from a professional relationship to a romantic one, and you still sort of have that base connection with him.
and lastly, i will always have love for actual support item engineers. i think it works so well with bakugou bc i like to think he's someone that likes to know exactly how his equipment is made. he doesn't mind getting his hands dirty in order to get down to the wiring and what-have-you. if he had more time, he'd probably be in the lab with you, telling you how to do your job LOL and you could be chatting and shooting the shit while you're printing steel plates or something. you always leave the lab really late and maybe bakugou knows that so he comes to check and make sure you're LEAVING like you're SUPPOSED TO. and then maybe he buys you dinner bc he knows you worked through lunch 😌🩷✨️
like i said, all very much in the same vein !!! all three of these jobs would work in conjunction with each other LOL i think the creative aspect is really important bc i like to think it was such a huge part of bakugou's childhood, seeing his parents work. i just feel like fashion and aesthetics and design — that's natural for him to see, to watch someone study, to watch someone sketching designs or making blueprints on the computer, and so to have a partner that also works on those things would feel, idk, natural to him. i don't think ??? anything specific is mentioned about masaru's actual job in canon, but !! that's my lil spin on it !!!
i hope i made any of this make sense.....it makes sense in my head, but i might have butchered my explanation LOL but thank you for asking !!!! omg this was so fun to write about 😌😌😌🩷🩷🩷✨️✨️✨️✨️

For the ask game: 4 & 21!
just answered question 4 :]
21. When did you start considering yourself a writer/artist?
oh shoot hmm. honestly this year I've felt like I really am an artist like fr. but I started considering myself one back in 2021 I think? when i spent a lot of time drawing and realized hey. i like doing this
i had just finished high school and I wanted to pursue a career in meteorology or astronomy or stuff like that. but whenever someone asked if I was sure about it I was like. there's something wrong i don't think i genuinely like this stuff. so thankfully the timing was very good and I got into my animation design degree instead. idk where I would be now if it weren't for the pandemic, it gave me time to draw and learn this about myself

i hate being an engineering major bc like 80% of the problems people think could be solved by engineers would actually be solved by 1. government regulation and intervention 2. killing all billionaires
