Scrap Anime Series Idea Stockpile (Collection 3)
Here are some more ideas for potential new anime series both in long/continuing and short/near-OVA/ONA (Original Video Animation/Original Net Animation) form!
My question to you, is, which of the following has the most potential that would be deserving to be seen on television or online?
Hash it out in the comments below which ideas jump out at you the most and seem like they'd be fun to see.
1) Busan, the Act of Contrition - In this deep, dramatic seinen/josei series, a young woman with the name of Banira Yoshida knows her grandfather Seiji Yoshida took in some "comfort women" as part of his high status and spoils collection as an Imperial Japanese Army officer in the Second World War with many of them coming from Busan, South Korea. Overwhelmed by the shame of her ancestor having taken part in sexual slavery, Banira slips away on a ferry to Busan from Osaka to place herself in sexual slavery as atonement for her ancestor's crimes against the children of South Korea. She ends up taking a job as a maid to a young, rich, cute femboy named Kyung Ja Phung who is descended from one of the comfort women who Seiji took as a sex slave long ago. Both having demons to work through, Kyung Ja and Banira both find a surprise solace in each other as they navigate pitfalls and perils of life in South Korea.
2) Devil Lady Reborn - In this psychological horror, dark superhero team Josei reboot of Go Nagai's Devil Lady/Devilman Lady; seven young high school teachers are attacked by demons causing them to unleash their hidden powers as the Devil Ladies - black, white, yellow, green, blue, red and pink. Discovering their powers and deciding to use them to do some good while cleaning up their town of all crime by night, the seven Devil Ladies baffle the Yakuza and the police alike with their macabre heroics. Venturing into Hell to discover Akira and Jun Fudo as the ones who helped awaken their powers to try and stop the apocalypse from claiming their world as it did Akira and Jun's worlds. The only way for them to make it happen is to stop all of Satan's Devil Beasts and God's Rogue Angels while forcing God and Satan to overcome the long-held grudges and make peace with one another. But their truce is easier said than done.
3) Fairy Mermaid Angel - A sci-fi/fantasy romantic dramedy about a girl from space who can turn into a mermaid to swim fast through vast stretches of ocean or into a bird-winged angel fairy to fly great distances across the sky. With the identity of Mekaria Nesoi, she has come to Earth for sanctuary as her family is being hunted by the Kibolans over their empire suffering a defeat by the Galaxies Alliance resulting in the destruction of the Kibolans' dreaded weapon the Midas Touch battle station. With her magical powers, she saves the life of an adolescent boy named Tamaki Gonohe who is eventually swept off his feet by her. Together, they take on the mundane challenges of life on Earth in the 21st Century while traveling across spacetime to keep one or three steps ahead of the Kibolans' evil plots for galactic domination. Even so, Mekaria also must come to terms with the fact that she may possibly be an orphan in space.
4) Hunter-Killer On The Run - In this cyberpunk science fiction action josei/seinen series, a team of seven cybernetically enhanced girls arrives in modern day Tokyo looking for teenaged Hikaru Kaito as he prepares to graduate from high school with his girlfriend Keiko Ran. This weapon - a Hunter-Killer is powerful, versatile and near-indestructible like something out of one Harlan Ellison's stories "Demon with a Glass Hand" and "Soldier Out of Time". The Hunter-Killer will feel no pity, remorse, pain or fear and it can't be reasoned or bargained with. And old Hunter-Killer is bringing an army of its followers back to the present to prevent the future of the UN-allied AI named Eos helping machines and humanity co-exist in peace. The maidens Electra, Maia, Tayga, Alcia, Celeana, Stera and Mera are the only soldiers who can fight HK's armies.

Tragedy and triumph go hand in hand with the Waves as they figure out their way in this crazy world while keeping the water they swim in as their sanctuary and conduit for resolving their differences.

This disease is launched by the invading Agartha to consume and plunge the Multiverse into emptiness. The eleven women must now unite to hide the body across Japan and arm themselves against the nightclub owner who has lost everything due to Kenji's misdeeds as well as the Yakuza seeking to eliminate all threads leading back to them. Yayoi, Masako, Kuniko and Yoshie lead their seven coworkers in a battle for their lives, their families and their freedoms as even the police grow more sympathetic to the ladies' plights and offer rewards for the capture or elimination of major Yakuza enforcers.
9) Quests of the Paladin Joan - In this alternate history josei fantasy, Joan of Arc is saved at the last minute by a cult of followers all having heard about her deeds in the Siege of Orléans, and is summoned by Quaniel the Angel of God's South Wind to go on a series of quests. Over the course of their odyssey, Akihiro and his "Losers' Club" grapple with the burning questions of love and what it means to be human. Akihiro doesn't want to leave any of the girls in their club childless and loveless, but it's quite uncomfortable for Akihiro who is not a harem player.
13) Yuri-chan is a Boy?! - In this slice-of-life mistaken identity romantic dramedy, Yuri Baba is attending a prestigious girls' secondary school to keep an eye on his young sister Noriko in the wake of their older sister Miyumi disappearing just before graduation. The only way they can pick up Miyumi's trail, however, is if Yuri disguises himself as a girl which isn't really that big a problem as Yuri looks, feels and acts more feminine anyways. Yuri soon finds attraction to the tomboyish Benitsuru "Benny" Yoshizaki who is at first oblivious to Yuri's feelings until she discovers his secret and why he is attending. Wanting to help uncover the web of lies and conspiracies surrounding her friend Miyumi's disappearance, Benny teams up with Yuri and Noriko to pick up the trail whilst also engaging in some wacky hijinks along the way. Narrow escapes from exposure somehow reveal clues that all is not well underneath their academy.

“Damn,” you lamented, pushing away from the table and sinking onto the couch. “Great, a meeting is just what I needed.”
The afternoon light streaming through the window was sad, or so it seemed. Everything had seemed sad and empty since that day.
Living in that village couldn't be synonymous with joy and jubilation, but at least you saw some meaning, some harmony in the snow, in the black birds crossing the cloudy sky, in your own existence.
You never asked for mercy, pity, or salvation from the monotonous life you lived. Your family left a long time ago, leaving only the memory of their past. They were nobles, yes, charged with protecting and caring for the forest that kept the village a secret from prying eyes.
You'd heard stories of nobility, of a renowned family name associated with you, but you always knew that it wouldn't guarantee you a better life, at least not in a place like that. Of all that was once your family, only you remained, isolated in what was once a mansion, and now only partially habitable ruins.
You were happy; you didn't need help, but still, you got it.
Mother Miranda saw something in you, something she herself had overlooked for the past 20 years, something that, according to the witch, the Gods whispered to her. Well, you weren't particularly happy in your solitude, and the winter cold would eventually kill you.
How could you have refused the hand she offered you?
As in many fictional stories, it wasn't unconditional help; it was a pact with the devil, a silent agreement that would take much more than your soul. You remembered the pain, the sensation of watching life slip through your fingers… You remembered the Cadou writhing before entering your body.
Then, the light came.
As if it were a religious scripture, you rose from that old stretcher, disoriented but radiant, much stronger, different…
(Y/N) had died, but from her ashes Lady (Y/N) was reborn, a new servant of Mother Miranda, the Fifth Lord. Your family's noble past influenced the priestess's decision to include you in the village's decisions, to add a picture of you to the altar of the old chapel.
If it hadn't been for your family's past… what would have become of you?
You preferred not to answer that question.
A gift from the Gods, or so Miranda called the subtle changes in your appearance. Yes, you would remain 20 for the rest of your life, paying a price: marks on your face that resembled the roots of a tree, which you would make sense of soon after.
Around your dilapidated home, flowers began to bloom and the orchard began to bear fruit long before its time as well as the trees seemed to move, to twist as you passed by them. That was the power your new status gave you, the price of eternal life, and the tireless duty to protect the village and maintain the loyalty to Mother Miranda.
The Fifth Lord, the youngest of all, but not the strangest. Unlike your new “siblings”, you decided to use your gifts to help the poor villagers you had once been part of. Destroyed crops, infertile lands, vermin that fed on the labor of others... These began to be your responsibilities, and thanks to your skill, you managed to make the local inhabitants thank the Gods and Mother Miranda for their survival.
You tried, for a weak moment, to relate to your old friends like before, but nothing was the same, nor would it ever be. The excessive respect and fear towards you were unbearable, and you soon understood that your place in that world of darkness had changed irrevocably.
Of course, the rest of the Lords accepted you without question, teaching you your duties, accompanying you on this new path in your life. But as the years passed, those people you once feared became friends, almost family, as Miranda liked to say.
Everything would have been perfect if you hadn't fallen in love with one of them, with the lady in black who gave you nightmares as a child, the ventriloquist, Donna Beneviento.
The cold felt much more piercing than usual, and part of your young personality reproached you for not having given the priestess an excuse to avoid that meeting.
You knew Donna would be there, faithful, but cold as ever. The villagers bowed and greeted you respectfully, but your head was far from the road, right next to her, remembering everything you had experienced together, everything that had happened between Lady Beneviento and you.
But this wasn't the time to remember, but to act, to pretend that nothing that could alter the status quo in which the five of you lived was happening, nothing that could disturb the peace, the control that Mother Miranda had over you.
“(Y/N), it's been a while,” a seductive voice echoed off the stone walls leading to the underground cathedral. It was Lady Dimitrescu, the most senior Lord, and the one who enjoyed being so the most.
“Alcina,” you greeted politely, earning one of her dark smiles.
You knew she was speaking to you, that she was saying something, but you didn't listen. Your eyes fixed on the figure sitting at the back of the room, the black figure who had once been your beloved, Donna.
Your heart stopped for a moment as you walked to your seat, one next to hers, as if fate were laughing at you.
“Donna,” you sighed in a timid greeting, trying not to tremble, not to remember anything that had happened in the past few months and to appear serious and authoritative, something truly complicated when your senses recognized that scent of lavender, that scent that brought back so many memories.
The lady in black didn't move, although you knew that behind the black veil lay a gaze fixed on you. The fabric danced as she turned away from your gaze, denying you even the slightest greeting.
“Don't talk to us, silly,” the Angie doll, Donna's faithful companion, rested on her lap, directing those harsh words towards you. “You silly, silly…”
“Hi, Angie, you look well,” you said, making an effort to separate the doll from its owner, to make a distinction between doll and woman, believing maybe that way you wouldn't feel so hurt.
“Shut up, tree-hugger,” the doll replied as the lady shifted uncomfortably in her seat. “What part of I don't want to talk to you don't you understand?”
“Ugh, okay,” you said, slumping into your seat and crossing your arms as you vaguely nodded to the rest of your siblings, who seemed very attentive, too attentive.
“Welcome, children,” Mother Miranda said, extending her arms at the altar, giving a silent start to that awkward meeting. “Reports.”
One by one, you gave reports of your work, of your discreet lives to the priestess. Surely she cared about nothing but knowing that no one would betray her. Sometimes you feared her, other times you hated her.
Over all those years, you had felt many things for Miranda: admiration, affection, fear... but it didn't take long for you to know her true heart, to discover that Mother Miranda only cared about Mother Miranda.
Of course, you weren't the only one with that point of view, something that made you befriend Heisenberg, but it was irrelevant. No matter what that woman looked like, she had given you those powers, eternal life… You should be grateful, right?
“Why don't you sit somewhere else? You're making me nervous,” a husky whisper reached your ears as the lady next to you moved.
It had been so long since you'd heard Donna's sweet voice that you jumped, a smile crossing your face before your brain could interpret her hurtful words. You opened your mouth to answer, but shook your head, sighing.
“Sorry, this happens to be my spot,” you said in a sour tone, a tone that was totally different from what you really felt, but that your pride couldn't suppress.
“Sciocchezze, you have much more room on that side,” Donna replied, looking away, as if looking at you was painful for her too.
“I'm not going to get up from my spot because it annoys you,” you whispered, with a haughty look on your face. “You should move instead.”
“No”
“Fine, then don't complain,” you said with a wry smile. “Shut up, you're not letting me listen”
“Are you telling me to shut up?” the lady in black said with a gasp of surprise. “You?”
“I don't know why you're surprised... Oh, of course, you were usually the one who has that right, weren’t you?” you quipped making the lady clench her fists in her lap and the Angie doll giggle discreetly.
“Chuidi il becco, I don't want to hear or see you, you're annoying me,” Donna protested, turning her head away from you again, visibly nervous, just like you.
“You started it,” you said in a satisfied whisper, ending this absurd argument, the last thing you needed. “If I'm annoying you that much, sit down there.”
“I'm not moving from here,” the dollmaker stated. “This has been my seat longer than you've been alive.”
“Well, we have a problem then,” you challenged, raising your eyebrows and crossing your arms, pretending to listen to Miranda again.
“Mannaggia...” the lady hissed, shifting in her seat, cradling Angie so her laughter wouldn't attract attention.
“Stupid, stupid, stupid,” the doll mocked, reprimanded by her owner, who moved as far away from you as possible.
You groaned and shook your head again, breathing increasingly ragged, nervous, and tense.
“…that's why we must make the villagers...” Miranda's speech entered your ears, but all you could think about was the lavender, Donna, that woman you once loved, and who was now just a stranger to you.
“By the way, stupida,” the brunette whispered again, leaning towards you mockingly. “You left a dress at my house, that pretty dress I made you.”
“Hmm,” you murmured, not paying much attention to her. “I'll go get it.”
“Don't even think about coming near my house,” Donna replied, her knuckles white from the pressure. “Don't bother trying to get it back. I burned it in the fireplace.”
“Great, how mature of you,” you said amused, with a sarcastic smile.
“Ladies... I can't believe it,” Miranda's voice sounded much closer, her tone warning, a warning, like her gaze, directed at you.
You both lowered your heads, realizing that every eye in the room was on you. Your argument hadn't been as discreet as it seemed.
“I'm sorry, Mother,” you whispered, bending down to show regret.
“You're like little girls,” the priestess complained, her gaze piercing and menacing. “If you're done arguing, may I continue with the meeting?”
“It was (Y/N)!” Angie shrieked, pointing at you accusingly with a nasty squeak. “She's bothering my Donna!”
“Gods...” Miranda whispered, resting her fingers on her temples.
“What? That's a lie,” you protested, standing up from your chair. “Mother Miranda, I...”
“Silence! Stop acting like irrational teenagers and pay attention... You're exhausting,” the witch shrieked. “Do I have to act like a mother? You, (Y/N), sit over there,” she ordered, pointing at the bench Alcina was occupying.
Growling and giving Donna one last furious look, you obeyed, ignoring Angie's taunts, who seemed pleased with her absurd victory.
“Mm, dear...” Alcina murmured when the tension dissipated, lighting a cigarette. “How long are you going to keep this up?”
“What? I didn't do anything,” you protested, paying more attention to Miranda to avoid another reprimand. “She's the one who...”
“What a pity,” sighed the lady in white, shaking her head. “You two made such a lovely couple...”
“Yeah,” you said dryly, unable to avoid glancing sideways at the lady in black, who seemed, only seemed, to be doing the same.
“You tarnish the name of love with your childish behavior, my dear. Can't you give each other a second chance?” Alcina whispered, much more discreetly, taking advantage of Miranda's distraction with Moreau. You shrugged, not taking your eyes off that black veil.
“I'd love to, but it's impossible. She... she doesn't want to listen to me,” you confessed, revealing that those feelings you had for Donna were still there, that they had never left.
“Poor Donna, I still don't know what you did to her...”
“I didn't do anything,” you protested immediately, clenching your fists in the same way as your former lover. “It was all because of her stupid jealousy.”
“Um, of course, your lack of patience with someone like her had nothing to do with it, right?” the lady in white chided you, pretending to listen to the priestess.
“Uh, it’s not...” you said, frowning, but falling silent when Miranda's gray eyes fixed on you again.
“Well, there's always a place in my castle for a beauty like you, my dear, but I wouldn't want to take away from Donna what she considers hers; that would be very wrong, wouldn't it?” the lady of the castle suggested, making a blush spread across your cheeks.
“I wish she would still consider me hers,” you murmured in an imperceptible tone, feeling a pang of pain as you looked again at your beloved, who seemed to be ignoring you.
“Then do something about it, my dear, before your stupid arguments upset Mother Miranda any further. I couldn't bear to lose you both.”
After what felt like an eternity, the meeting came to an end. Of course, you didn't hear any of Miranda's words; all you could think about was your feelings. Maybe Alcina was right, and it was time to fix this mess.
You couldn't think of anything else. You dreamed of Donna, you thought of her every moment, of the day you could feel her skin against yours again, the day the whispers of love would once again flow from her lips.
“Donna, wait,” you said, grabbing the lady who passed in front of you, holding her in place.
With a furious gasp, Donna pulled away, scorning your approach, making you swallow your pride and your words sound like a plea.
“Lasciami,” she whispered, turning her back on you while Angie made mocking gestures in your direction.
“Oh, come on, I want to talk to you and...” you insisted with that pathetic, pleading tone, chasing the lady outside.
“I don't want to talk to you, do you hear me?” she said in a cold tone, causing the rest of the Lords to look at you curiously as they walked. “You're lucky you're a Lord, and that my powers don't affect you.”
“Are you threatening me?” you asked incredulously. “Donna, please, I just want to talk.”
“I have nothing to talk to you about,” the lady said, ignoring you again and starting to walk away.
“Donna…” you sighed, exhausted, watching her figure disappear into the snow.
At least she'd talked to you, and that was much more than there had been in the last few weeks, but it wasn't enough.
When you met Lady Beneviento, everything was different. Donna was a strange woman about whom you'd heard terrible rumors, but she was still intriguing, interesting.
Your skill with plants had formed a kind of bond with that strange dollmaker, working together on an experiment, on Mother Miranda's orders. Until that moment, you believed what the villagers said about her was true, but little by little, you discovered that those claims were far from reality.
Donna was sick, yes, her mind had been damaged since birth, and it worsened after losing her family in a terrible way, but… But the word "monster," with which your old friends defined her, differed quite a bit from what you could see.
Intelligent, elegant, sweet… Those were the adjectives your mind formed every time you saw her, spent time with her. Her shy laugh became an addiction for you; her hands were the only thing you could think about when you returned home.
Like a romance book, a movie that spoke of an impossible love, that curious friendship you developed became a need as pressing as breathing. You discovered the true woman hidden behind that black veil, the beautiful woman that was Donna Beneviento, learning about her concerns, her story, her tastes…
Afternoon tea was almost obligatory, and a wide smile spread across your face as her voice seduced you with beautiful words, with a honeyed accent that stirred your whole body. Donna was sick, yes, she had problems, but you were always there to solve them, to calm her madness with words of affection, with love.
And finally, you managed to see her face, the beauty hidden behind that horrible black cloth. The deformity that adorned her skin was a trifle compared to the delicacy of her features, the brilliance of her single eye.
She was the most beautiful woman you had ever seen.
Then, one day, a day you couldn't remember since time ceased to have meaning for someone immortal like you, your lips tasted the softness of hers, melting into a kiss, a first kiss of love.
You thought love wasn't meant for someone like you, but you were completely wrong. No one stopped you from loving each other, no one stopped two Lords from finding solace in eternal kisses, in promises of love, of affection, in nights of passion.
She used the flowers, you made them grow. If it weren't for your sad past, you'd think you were always destined to be by her side. The roots that ran through your face were a reflection of her scar.
Everything was perfect; your life was full of love, affection, lavender... But it didn't last forever. A few months after leaving your old mansion and moving in with her, the problems began.
You knew her madness, her sick mind, but the more time you spent with her, the more evident her problems became.
Your duties as a Lord still existed, and that included visits to the castle and the factory. Being a sociable girl, you always offered to be a sort of messenger for Mother Miranda, and you never paid attention to it. Donna did.
You knew about her jealousy, even before a romantic relationship, but it reached limits that became unbearable. No matter how many times you said nothing had happened at the castle, that the three Dimitrescu sisters were just playing at seducing you.
Donna never believed you, and that began to take its toll. It was the beginning of the end.
An argument, an absurd argument, led to the end of the love of your life. You tried to reason with her, but you couldn't, and that drove you to despair, forcing you to do something crazy: to leave the Beneviento estate forever.
Your breakup was widely reported in the village and among the rest of the Lords. No one said anything at first, but you could feel their glances, their accusations that you were the one to blame. Donna never spoke about it, but as time passed, the tension seemed to grow even more intense.
That meeting wasn't the only one in which Mother Miranda had to reprimand you; there were many more, many Masses cut short because of the lady in black's irrational hatred for you. It was an increasingly untenable situation, and the worst part was that you had always, always loved her, and you continued to do so.
“I don't know how to dance; I'll be terrible at it,” you said nervously, taking the hand she offered you.
“Relax, tesoro, I'll show you," she whispered, gently grabbing your waist, moving you to the rhythm of a beautiful song.
The memories continued to haunt your mind when you got home; the flowers that adorned your old mansion were beginning to wither. All of nature seemed to take pity on you, and you couldn't, and wouldn't, do anything about it.
“Hey!” you protested, wiping the flour from your face. “I thought you were going to teach me how to cook!”
“It was Angie,” Donna said amused, starting a flour fight full of kisses, laughter, love, passion...
“Shit, Donna,” you complained, clutching one of her many love letters that she sent you through her doll, one of those small joys that always waited under your door.
Your thumb ran over the ink, the elegant handwriting of those old-fashioned letters in a language you didn't know. Sadness affected the trees, the plants; your heartbeat seemed like echoes of a better time, one where her lips could soothe any sorrow.
“Alcina's right,” you murmured to yourself, folding the note and putting it in a small box filled with all those painful memories. “I can't forget her, I have to do something.”
It was risky, but you had to try.
The dark forest shuddered with every step you took toward the path, as if aware of your intentions, of the love you hoped to feel again. You had to talk to her, try to reason with her sick mind so she'd understand that you loved her long before you met her, before you kissed her, and that you would always do.
“Okay, let's see...” you said to yourself when you arrived at the waterfall mansion, wondering what you would say, what words you would use in your defense. “No, not that...” you denied, going down the front steps, unable to concentrate.
The sound of the water brought new memories to your mind, clouding your judgment even more, making the idea of returning home sound better and better in your head.
“I don't know what I'm doing. She'll never forgive me,” you whispered, rubbing your eyes, going back down the steps. Maybe the next day you would try again.
A beam of light stopped your steps, along with a creaking sound you knew too well. The mansion door opened slowly, forming a dark figure in the snow, a terrifyingly recognizable one.
“(Y/N)” Donna's voice reached your ears, causing you to turn around, going completely blank.
“Donna...” Was the only thing you could say, nerves preventing your voice from coming out naturally. “Donna, I... How did you know I was here?”
“Fiori...” she whispered, crossing her arms and turning around.
“Flowers?” you asked confused, to which Donna stopped, turning her veiled head and making an unexpected gesture for you, one that seemed to indicate that you should follow her. “What...?”
“Are you just going to stand there? Vieni,” she demanded when you didn't respond.
“Fine,” you said, shaking your head and following your former lover into the mansion.
Everything was just as you remembered. The musty smell brought memories back to your mind and the portrait on the stairs stirred your nerves, sending a familiar warmth over your skin. You felt at home, but the most painful thing was that it never would be again.
“There,” the lady murmured, pointing to a vase in the entryway, one with flowers that shone brightly, as if they had just sprouted. “Those flowers were dried, and their revival could only mean one thing: that you were nearby.”
“Oh,” you nodded, rubbing your hands together. “I guess knowing I was coming kept you from kicking me off your property, huh?”
“Hmm, I've had a few minutes to get ready,” Donna replied, crossing her arms. “I guess you're here for your dress.”
“I thought you burned it,” you whispered cautiously, studying the posture of the woman in black, approaching slowly.
“No,” she said, her voice cold and dry.
“Um, okay... erm...” you stammered, scratching the back of your neck, unsure of what to say, how to bring love back into those walls. “Donna, that's not necessary,” you said, approaching her, ready to remove the black veil, something she rejected by moving away from you.
“Don't touch me,” she growled, making you grit your teeth.
“Oh, come on, you're a beautiful woman, Donna. I've told you a hundred times. Do you really have to put on that hideous thing to talk to me?” you said, trying unsuccessfully to push the black fabric away.
“You also told me you'd never leave me,” the woman replied, moving further away from you, her tone spiteful. “You lied to me, (Y/N).”
“Ugh,” you gasped, opening your mouth but unable to find the words. “I wish I could talk to you like two normal people. Do you think you can do that?” you demanded, insisting, finally managing to pull back the black fabric and see her beauty once more.
“Lasciami!” Donna squealed, her one eye shining, red from crying. “Have you come to humiliate me?”
“No!” you squealed back, pushing the veil out of her reach. “I came to talk to you, Donna.”
“Parlare? What do you want to talk about, (Y/N)? I have nothing to talk to you about, I told you... give it back to me,” she demanded, reaching out her hand, starting a pointless fight over the veil.
Patience...
The lady of the castle's words, those accusatory ones, made you give up, returning the veil to Donna just as the situation was starting to get out of hand.
“Ugh, you're insufferable,” you protested, shaking your head as she pondered putting her veil back on. Finally, she decided to leave it, even though her gaze hurt you, the hatred in her eye piercing you mercilessly.
“So, why did you come to my house? To tell me how insufferable I am?” she asked ironically, dropping the fabric to the floor and kicking it nervously.
“Ugh, can't you forget your stupid pride for a moment? I'm the one who's come to talk to you,” you complained again, chasing the lady, who seemed to be comically running away from you, around the mansion. “Unbelievable, now you're running away from me?”
“Do you think I would run away from someone like you?” the lady said, a sinister smile on her face, leaning against the dining room table. “I could have you throw off the cliff, (Y/N)”
“That's funny,” you said haughtily, walking toward her in a petulant manner. “I'm not some villager you can manipulate at will, Donna. We're on the same level, remember?”
“Hm, I don't know what Mother Miranda saw to name you a Lord,” Donna murmured in a low but arrogant tone. “You would have been better off as a concubine of the castle.”
“And you would have been better off as the lunatic dollmaker you were before Miranda took pity on you,” you replied, hurt by her words, slightly regretting it, but standing your ground, taking a breath. “It's absurd, Donna, it's absurd that we continue arguing like this.”
“No, (Y/N), or rather, Lady (Y/N),” Donna said, raising her eyebrow. “You are Lady (Y/N), I am Lady Beneviento. You better respect me.”
“Yes, of course,” you said in a mocking tone. “Excuse me, Lady Beneviento, but you didn't call me that way when we were making love, remember?”
“Oh, you mean before you betrayed me? Stupida...” the lady hissed, clearly offended by your comment.
“I never betrayed you,” you whispered in a dark tone, glancing sideways at some plants that seemed to be ruffled by your nerves, making you take a deep breath and try to relax. “I've told you every way I could, but you never listened.”
“You mean you lied to me every way you could,” Donna corrected.
“Ugh, you're...”
“Hey, you two!” Angie interrupted the argument, comically walking over to the dining room table. “Will you all just shut up? You're annoying!”
“Get out, Angie!” you shrieked in unison, causing the doll to flee in terror.
“How dare you address Angie in that tone?” Donna snarled, approaching you and grabbing the collar of your dress. “Show more respect. You may be a Lord, but you don't want to make me angry.”
“Mm, I know,” you said, removing her hand from your clothes with a gasp, but remaining calm. “I know you, Donna, better than you think.”
“Congratulazioni, (Y/N)...” she hissed, pulling away slightly, but maintaining a furious glare.
“Yeah, whatever,” you sneered, straightening your clothes. “Oh, where did that Lady (Y/N) go?  Who's disrespecting me now?”
“You don't deserve my respect, stupida; you betrayed me, you cheated on me!” the lady shrieked, stamping her foot again, echoing off the mansion walls.
“I never cheated on you! You were the one who imagined it all! You and your stupid paranoia!”
Donna fell silent, but soon after, she laughed mockingly, nervously, shaking her head.
“You still have the nerve to deny what happened at the castle. You're bold, I'll give you that,” she murmured, turning her back on you with a tired sigh.
“Nothing happened at the castle,” you said, lowering your tone as well, approaching the lady slowly. “Nothing happened between Daniela and me.”
“I saw the way she looked at you! How she tried to seduce you!” the lady in black exclaimed, turning around, making you back away again. “I may be sick, but I'm not blind, (Y/N).”
“You only saw what you wanted to see, Donna,” you said, trying to calm down, trying not to get intoxicated by the lavender. “You know exactly what those girls are like. I'd never...”
“You'd never what?” she interrupted, without moving away from you, facing you directly. “You'd never leave me?”
“If I left, it was because you didn’t listen to me,” you defended yourself, easing the argument a bit, but maintaining the same tension. “It was impossible to reason with you.”
“You broke my heart. I guess I should have made you a hot bath to clean your filthy body, filthy with your betrayal, vero?” she said in a sour tone, leaning closer and pointing at you.
“You still think I cheated on you,” you said, unsure if it was for Donna, or for yourself. “You never trusted me, Donna.”
“How can I trust you?” the lady asked, waving her arms wildly. “You're... you're a beautiful girl. Everyone wants you. I-I can't stand the way they looked at you, wanting to taste you, to steal your warmth from my body.”
“You're beautiful too,” you said, bringing your hand to her cheek, a gesture she, of course, rejected with a sad moan, looking at you with a moist eye. “And that doesn't mean I think every person who comes near you wants to sleep with you, Donna. Your jealousy was completely irrational.”
“Irrational... che divertente...” she whispered, frowning, unable to meet your gaze. “That stupid girl tried to kiss you. Do you really think that's irrational?”
You rolled your eyes and shook your head, seeing some light in that dark argument.
“I'm not one of your dolls, Donna. I can act on my own, you know?” you stated, your voice confident. “Did you not think for a moment I'd pull away?”
The lady in black hesitated, speechless, and quickly approached, grabbing the back of your neck and pulling you into a passionate, unpredictable kiss, but one that gave you the warmth you were missing.
“Donna...” you sighed, placing your hand on your assaulted lips.
“See? You haven't pulled away,” she said with a satisfied smile, leaning back on the table.
“Sure I haven’t,” you said, moving closer again. “I haven't pulled away because... because I wanted you to kiss me.”
“I don't believe you,” Donna whispered, your lips very close to hers again, her eye closed and a tear running down her cheek.
“I don't need you to believe me, just for you to kiss me again,” you sighed, now attacking her lips, kissing her passionately, letting yourself be carried away by that spark her accusatory kiss ignited in your heart.
“You just want to... tempt me,” she said among kisses, grabbing your waist, your dress, your face... running her fingers along the roots of your cheeks while your tongues played tirelessly, reaffirming how much you had missed each other.
“Did I succeed?” you asked, amused, moving your hands to her black hair as your bodies danced, wanting to mingle.
“No,” she said, pulling away so she could unbutton your dress, gasping at the effect of her teeth on your neck, her hands beneath your clothes.
“Whatever you say,” you said, shaking your head as your fingers played with the buttons of her black blouse and your leg was manipulated by her nails digging into your skin.
There were no more words, just kisses, just hands roaming over a body they thought they'd lost. The caresses of her soft hands on your skin made you moan, deepening your work on her lips as your legs unconsciously moved toward the sofa.
“You're disrespecting me,” Donna accused you among gasps as your playful hand pushed her onto the sofa, while hers pulled your body to rest on top of hers, your legs on either side of her hips.
“Good,” you said contentedly, cupping her partially exposed breasts, pushing the black fabric of her blouse away from the perfect view of her skin.
She looked at you, but couldn't suppress the instinct to devour you again, to move her hips with yours in a hot, tense dance filled with hate, love, and passion.
“Y-You've always been the weakest Lord, (Y/N),” Donna said, pushing you down from her body as she ripped off your bra with her hand, positioning herself on top of you, dominating you.
“That's not what I think,” you whispered, biting her ear, causing her to protest with a moan as you squeezed one of her now-exposed breasts, throwing the fabric that protected them across the room. “I bet you're dying for me to do it.”
“You're dying,” she accused you, hitting the couch as your hand slid up her skirt, touching the soft skin of her legs, making her even more nervous. “You tricked me into being at your mercy, and it's the opposite, (Y/N).”
“Mm, I suppose you're saying that because you're on top, right? I know it's not what you like, Donna,” you challenged, placing one of your legs between her thighs, making the lady in black falter, shivering at the contact. “I think you like being at my mercy...”
“Maybe in your dreams,” Donna said, moving quickly to remove the friction and tearing off your underwear with a sharp tug, sinking her hand into your already damp folds. “But they're just dreams, (Y/N)”
“Donna...” you moaned helplessly as her slender fingers skillfully ran over your body, circling your clit, making you lose your composure, forcing you to moan.
“Così bagnata...” the dollmaker whispered, sinking two fingers into your entrance without warning, still looking at you, letting you know she was in charge. “Now you realize what you lost.”
“Oh,” you moaned, fighting to keep your legs from moving too much from the contact, pulling the brunette into a sloppy kiss as she worked her fingers inside you, caressing your walls, curling when she knew you needed it.
“Are you enjoying this, stupida?” she asked, pulling your hair angrily, but not hurting you, forcing you to nod, to focus on her when in reality, you were too immersed in the pleasure you were receiving.
“Shut up,” you said after a deep moan, forcing your body to calm down, making Donna giggle with satisfaction, speeding up her work between your legs. “Have you been practicing since I've been gone?”
“Stupida...” she hissed, tugging at your hair again, sinking her teeth into one of your nipples, making you cry out in pleasurable pain coupled with her almost perfect movements. “I can feel you, (Y/N). I know you're close…”
You shook your head, but your face and your moans were unable to deny her words. Your hips bucked with every movement Donna made, and your lips claimed hers wildly, biting, licking, devouring everything within reach.
Sooner than you would have liked, ecstasy hit you, making your entire body tense, wrapping your walls around her fingers as you cried out in pleasure, squeezing your body against hers, kissing that wonderful lover you had.
“Just like I said, weak,” Donna whispered, sitting up and removing her fingers, forcing you to taste your orgasm, your pleasure.
“Do you think this is over?” you threatened, crawling across the couch before pushing the lady in black back and pinning her with your legs. “No, Donna, this has only just begun.”
“Dare to lay a hand on me...” the lady hissed, as your lips began to caress her skin, your nails scratching her legs, and your ears ignoring her words.
“I won't lay a hand on you,” you said, amused, tugging her panties down her ankles, keeping a firm hand on her chest, making her eye flutter closed.
Your teeth scraped the skin of her thighs, and her hands seemed erratic, tugging at your hair with barely any strength. Your mouth moved up and up until it reached its destination, her wet, intoxicating scent you soon tasted.
“Cazzo...” Donna protested as your lips brushed her skin, as your tongue mercilessly traced her folds, circling her clit, absorbing, enjoying every shy sound her mouth made.
“You're so wet... you're delicious, Donna,” you said in a moment of lucidity, leaving hatred and anger aside, remembering how you enjoyed her body, how you enjoyed nights of passion with her.
“Bugiarda...” the lady accused, pushing your head towards her again, forcing you to continue savoring her essence.
“Am I a liar? Well, then you won't want me to finish you,” you said amusedly, switching your mouth for your hand, stimulating the brunette in a way you knew was irresistible to her.
“If you stop, I'll kill you,” she said in a dark tone, pulling at your hair with a furious look, embarrassed by the pleasure your lips were giving to her.
You pretended not to want to kiss her again, to make her taste herself, to realize there was still something very strong between you. You doubted if it would have served any purpose.
“You can't kill me,” you said, stimulating her clit again, looking over her body, analyzing her expressions of pleasure.
“I advise you to use your mouth for more than just talking, stupida... it's not good for you to defy me,” she told you, pulling at your hair, burying your head between her legs.
“You can't kill me because...” you said, stopping again, caressing her delicious wetness with your fingers, inserting them slowly in her eager walls, making her moan shamefully. “… Because I know you still love me.”
Without waiting for a reply, your tongue ran over her wetness again, forming a subtle rhythm with your fingers, making the lady in black lose control of her language, whisper words you didn't understand, and moan uncontrollably.
“Sto...Sto per...” she said, pushing you away before her back tensed and her thighs squeezed your head tightly, feeling the embrace of her insides, the explosion of pleasure you could feel on your lips.
Neither of you said anything after that. There weren't a word of love, just silence as the two of you dressed slowly, unsure of what had really happened, how that involuntary act of passion had occurred.
“You've got what you wanted, you can go,” Donna said, buttoning her blouse and tucking her skirt into place, without looking at your face.
“You don't understand, Donna, this isn't what I came for,” you said, covering yourself in the same way, walking behind her.
“Oh, you came to talk, didn't you? And get fucked... that's what I've always been to you,” she said in a bitter tone, pushing your lost bra against your chest. “Go, per favore...”
“Donna, please, don't... don't make it so difficult,” you protested, chasing after your elusive lover again. “If you think I'm that way, you don't know me.”
“I thought I knew you... I thought I knew you, tesoro," Donna murmured, wiping a tear from her cheek. “I-It's of no use pretending to hate you. I'd like to hate you, but I can't.”
“Then don't hate me, my love...” you sighed, cupping her face in your hands. “We were both wrong, but...”
“I was wrong about you.”
“Ugh, Donna, please… Stop being so stubborn and listen to me,” you insisted, wiping away your tears as well. “I never, ever cheated on you. I rejected Daniela as soon as I could. That day I just wanted to be back with you. Every time I left, I wanted to be back with you, with the woman I loved and... and still love.”
“You... do you still love me?” she asked, with a different look, gently grabbing your wrists.
“Every day that passes without you is hell, Donna. Eternal life isn't worth it without you,” you confessed, making Donna lower her head. “And I know you feel the same.”
“Io... Io..." she stammered, blinking erratically. “Th-those things I said while we were making love, I'm not… I'm not like that.”
“I know…” you sighed, very close to her lips. “I would have preferred for you to love me like before, to hear you whisper in my ear while you take me…”
“Sono d’accordo,” she sighed, caressing your face, the roots of your cheeks, brushing back your hair, sticky with sweat.
“You agree? Do you mean about sex?” you joked, making her smile as she shook her head.
“No, tesoro… Eternal life is hell without you,” she whispered, before placing her lips on yours, in a different way, salty with tears.
“Let's try again, Donna… I love you.”
“Please, amore mio…”

i wonder who the kimono lady is to the creatures?
like i don’t think she is pro-creature but also not against them
she almost feels like she may have been one of the town’s first victims of “they told me if i did this we could go home!” who wasn’t directly tied to the og townspeople
kimonos are timeless so it’s hard to say how old she is. she could have live during the US civil war, during the og town, or after
but either way she carried this strange motherly figure throughout the show
i doubt they come from her directly for the simple fact that they’re the original towns people who sacrificed their children
but maybe they didn’t get turned into those things like a vampire, rather their dead bodies have to be reborn
there’s a lot of creatures down there so who would be the surrogate?
but then i think about how the town is changing, so this could be the very first time a creature has ever died and came back
but for some reason the others already seemed aware that smiley would be back, that’s they the didn’t seem too worried about his death
i think that’s answered by the fact that the og towns people were told that sacrificing their children would give them eternal life, so whatever entity that promised them this already told them how that would go down but they haven’t had a chance to do it till now
then i wondered about the end game of all this. i think the creatures are trying to become like jade and tabitha. i seriously think they were possibly tricked into becoming the town’s pawns except for whoever jade and tabitha once were
??? and ??? —> chris and miranda —> jade and tabitha
some how the ???s escaped creature damnation while still possessing immortality but in a different fashion
i’m starting to think the context of how your child was sacrificed matters: did you willingly hand them over knowing that they would die for your selfish goals or did you hand them over and something lied about what was going to happen?
another theory is that the people who would eventually be the creatures, actually kidnapped the ???s child, making the couple riddled with guilt cuz they couldn’t stop it
so whatever force is playing god came to them and promised them the same thing but at a different price so they could save the children
it would be cool if it was actually the same entity pitting the townspeople against each other. like this singular god like entity is doing this for shits and giggles. the message of FROM becomes that sometimes you aren’t put thru adversity for a reason that is supposed to be advantageous for you, but rather that the universe or god really just does fucked up shit
like whatever you believe in, the universe cant give a fuck cuz it’s neutral or that god definitely doesn’t give a fuck and tells you to kill your son because he thinks it’s funny or… he placed a bid with the devil to see if you’d really do it?👀👀👀👀👀👀
OR sticking with the god/devil theme: an entirely new entity entered the story and came to the ???s, saying they could help them
SO, a group of people are told to sacrifice their kids for eternal life and once completed, they do get what they want but are forced to stay within the realm of town and be hideous creatures. but then they learn that one couple also got eternal life but they have to die and comeback as other people. they at least get to leave the town for sometime and lead seemingly normal lives till the town decides it’s time to come back and run the gambit
you have to admit one deal seems better than the other but i don’t really think the creatures understand that the ???s had remorse or guilt about the situation. that they are constantly plagued with visions of this place. there’s a desperation in female ??? to save the children. it’s the desperation of a mother who truly wanted her child
i truly think guilt is what sets the two paths to reincarnation apart
and now the creatures may feel like they got the short end of the stick even tho they only seem ruled by one desire. maybe all the fake smiling is a cover up for how actually miserable they are. like sure you can say it’s a hunting adaptation to lower the guards of humans but irl i think lots of people would be put off by it. it’s not really effective because it’s so uncanny. so it feels more like a facade for themselves rather than their prey
anyway i’m curious to see who jabitha were before chris and miranda

SENATION LORE PART 3: BATTLE OF LEGENDS.
📍 set in heian period ( year 794 to 1185 )
LONG LONG TIME AGO BEFORE THE CURRENT TIMELIME OF SENATION LORE... born a baby who from birth, already seemed to be a blessing to his family and to the world. this baby... his name is sen, a soon-to-be samurai whose name will be imprinted in history.
Tumblr media
"waaa waaa!" baby sen cries out.
soon, the baby grew up. as per told by the priests that this child would be the answer to the future, lil baby sen grew up to be a smart, strong, and super sugoi samurai. now, known as a samurai, whom is a freelance warrior going around all of japan to save the world. he journeys all over just to take down unearthly forces.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
samurai sen led an adventurous life... often defeating giant monsters (like gashadokuro and that fish looking ahh) that cannot be seen by a normal soul. it seems he has a mission to defeat these creatures of the night. and truly, even as he is a youngin, his journey never ends. until...
he met a beautiful girl.
Tumblr media
her name is lady @seumyo , a woman of a noble family. samurai sen knew he had no chance with a woman of nobility... they both knew it is wrong for a commoner and an almost princess... but regardless... they... they... k k k k k k k kissed... under the sunset 😱😱😱
that is truly taboo!
one of lady seumyo's servants saw them kissing and went home to report to seumyo's father. he was enraged, and stormed right to the forbidden temple. mans wanted revenge, so bro made a pact with devils to destroy and end the samurai's life..
completely unaware of this devious and unfathomable evil, samurai sen did not think that this was his last time that he will be drinking with his buddies. he laughed with them, sharing drinks with them, and spending their last moments together as bros.
Tumblr media
"we are sworn brothers!" samurai sen held up a toast. "sworn brothers!" "#4liferz!" "broskis forever!" "we'll die together!!" the others also toasted before sipping their last drink.
DUM DUM DUM!
the sounds of thunder cracked through the sky as lighting flickered throughout the dark heavens. the samurai knew it was a calling to settle this raging night, so he set out with his sword alone to face the issue.
oh my days! raijin kami (the thunder god) is present!
Tumblr media
"you dare disrupt peace between the worlds, you mortal!" @heartkaji said, striking a drum as a strike of lighting shoot at samurai sen. "whaattt! but i didn't do anything!" he deflected the lighting with his super cool stainless steel samurai katana.
"SILENCE MORTAL! THE DEVILS R OUT TO HUNT AND THEY HAVE SAID IT WAS YOU WHO FREED THEM!"
the samurai scratched his cheeks with the hilt of his sword. "uhm, I don't understand, but looks like I have to fight you, raijin-sama!"
the legendary battle commenced with a mortal human and an eternal god. it was a long battle, samurai sen's resolve and determination never ending as he felt himself dying. "i... i don't wanna die... i still haven't seen seumyo's elbows..."
Tumblr media
"fear not, dearest..." a woman on a majestic white dragon swooped down and helped sen. "for you are the chosen one by the heavens. raijin! go back to your timeout! you've been naughty lately!" the beautiful goddess demanded the thunder god as he groaned in annoyance and disappeared into the heavens.
apparently, samurai sen is a gift from the heavens. the next new being to become a new god. in truth, he is already dead. he is only fighting with the thunder god to pass the god test, except his true examiner is @white-poppie.
how did samurai sen died...? well, one of the demons that seumyo's daddy made a pact with ate him at the boys night out LOL. now it is his time to take revenge on all the devil's that were let loose. this time, as a newly reborn courageous god.
𝐿𝑂𝑁𝐺 𝐿𝐼𝑉𝐸 𝑇𝐻𝐸 𝐺𝑂𝐷 𝑂𝐹 𝐶𝑂𝑈𝑅𝐴𝐺𝐸, 𝑆𝐸𝑁 !
Tumblr media

My redneck neighbor Doug watches 'The Bad Batch': 'The Harbinger'
Yup, as we all know, Doug unlocked a HUGE character with Asajj Ventress, who is apparently an embittered ex-Navy wife lurking somewhere in the depths of the Florida Panhandle and not a reborn Jedi goth chick.
CW: You will learn more about this poor ex wife of John then you will ever deem fit. Be warned.

-----------------------------
Episode 9, “John’s-Ex-Wife: The Revenge”
Daddy Warcrimes does what a daddy in need of a mommy will do, and is going to pick up women by the dockside. Wonder if they take cash or not.
Tumblr media
And here’s Julio to remind him to wrap it before he snaps it, ya know? Good bro, when has Julio done anything wrong, love him. Maybe Julio laid his pipe in Space Louisiana last week, who knows if the mantis had a sister who had bills to pay and Terrebonne Parish don’t have a lot of jobs but has a lot of lonely people and, where were we?
Why is it all foggy here now? We in Maine now?
Well, Mutant Jimmers is doing work, as the kids say now, tracking down the junkies hiding out in the caves. I can’t blame Mutant Jimmers or the junkies, they gotta do their smack and doing it in the park ain’t good. I wonder who makes the meth on the island? It ain’t Church Lady, she’s too busy working and having fun in the snow with her beau, Sassy-Park-Ranger*.
Awwww shit it’s not space junkies, it’s worse! It’s JOHN’S-EX-WIFE! Of course she’s hiding her Ford pickup in a cave, the other one got booted outside of Pensacola after she banged the neighborhood granddad and he called the cops after she stole his TV.
Tumblr media
(the last shot John saw before he left for the rig that one time)
God damn, she’s wearing the same outfit you wear to work, Meat Muffin! Do you think she writes papers and yells at people on the phone like you do too?
Well John’s-Ex-Wife hasn’t changed, first thing she starts doing is fighting and bitching at everyone for not paying their bills on time. I hated that damn woman but I’ll say this much, she was organized. But that’s how the Devil is. Not organized to not cheat on John with every sailor in Pensacola and the neighborhood granddad but nobody’s perfect I guess.
Well, she’s going to test Little Orphan Blondie by making her do yoga on the beach while her brothers watch. Doing dumb shit in public to be different, yup, that’s John’s-Ex-Wife for you. Surprised Daddy Warcrimes hasn’t capped her and her bleached hair yet.
Tumblr media
Oh! Now she sent Little Orphan Blondie on an errand leaving the boys behind in a dark room with her. How much do you wanna bet there’s gonna be a train and Thomas the Tank Engine ain’t involved? God, it was a miracle John never ended up with the clap. His ex wife really was the bike of Escambia County.
And there’s a fight. Woo! John’s-Ex-Wife’s history as a bartender is coming on through! Girlfriend can handle her own–and here’s the lightsaber! WOAH! I don’t want her to kick my boy’s butts but damn girl, git ‘er done!
Tumblr media
Also why don’t they all just pile on her, why are they waiting, this ain’t ballroom dancing boys! Toaster Strudel and Rex would NEVER.
Where IS TOASTER STRUDEL AND REX?!?!?!
Well, Little Orphan Blondie’s back and seems to like John’s-Ex-Wife for some reason. God damn it, Little Orphan Blondie, you’re a rube and I ain’t happy about it. At least Church Lady got you sushi and hit on your idiot brother who didn’t deserve her.
Little Orphan Blondie’s no Jedi, whatever. But nothing brings the family together like deep sea fishing, even more then going off into the snow and punching each other in front of the trailer!
Tumblr media
Off John’s-Ex-Wife and Little Orphan Blondie go while the dads do a lil bit of peepin. Except Daddy Warcrimes who knows a thing or two and keeps a gun tailed her. Yeah, Daddy Warcrimes!
Oh! What’s this? Ain’t this the shit from Aquaman? Are they gonna get jumped by sea aliens until Aquaman throws flashlights at them?**
Nope! It’s that thing from Pirates of the Caribbean! Where’s Johnny Depp and his dreadlocks?! They’re firing up the HMS Search Warrant to do a rescue and…woah. Woah. What’s Johns-Ex-Wife doing here? The force? She can do all that shit but she can’t keep her marriage, oh Johns-Ex-Wife.
Tumblr media
Look at Daddy Warcrimes being a gentleman and helping the ladies onto their stolen work truck. Most ladies get upset when a creepy old man with a gun hoists them into a windowless van but not Johns-Ex-Wife. Trust me.
Johns-Ex-Wife warns them and then flings off, as she is wont to do. Why do I feel the next episode is going to be the DEA raiding Space Florida? I bet she’s a snitch for the government, calling it now!
*=Doug will never get off the Phee/Mayday train. I tried. I failed. I’m sorry, internet.

For my Doug fans! @eyecandyeoz @cdblake1565 @sued134 @megmca @skellymom @yeehawgeek @amalthiaph and anyone else!

hello! feel free to delete, if it's not to your taste.
so i just started watching kdramas and my first one was the glory because it's a lot to my taste (song hye kyo yum +revenge + plotting) and i'd love if you could give me similar recs? i also liked reborn rich but it's put off until i finish the webtoon!
thank you for listening!
You are very welcome!
I am afraid I can't be super helpful because modern revenge tales with low romance aren't super my thing - I didn't finish Reborn Rich and never even checked out The Glory. But I do have some recs.
The ones that come to mind are:
Mawang/The Devil/Lucifer (2007) - this one is a masterpiece. A series of seemingly random killings bring together a hot headed cop, an icy lawyer and a librarian who has the power of seeing the past of an object she touches. This is not a serial killer drama (or a procedural) - it's an intricate, impeccably written, tragic tale of past and long-plotted revenge. It's in my Top 5 dramas.
Resurrection - This one is def old (2005) but a really good tale of revenge and family secrets.
Again My Life (2022) - it's sort of an off-brand Reborn Rich where our protag, a prosecutor played by Lee Jun Ki, is killed but wakes up in his law school days and tries to find out what happened to him. Just as with RR, it wasn't able to hold my attention so I peaced out but it's certainly rather similar in set up.
This is not filet mignon but rather addictive fast food, but if what you have a hankering for ladies seeking and getting revenge on those who wronged them, Marry My Husband (2024) and Perfect Marriage Revenge (2023) are delightful fun about women who have been wronged by their spouses and families but get a second chance after death to return back to X time before their death and put their life on track/get revenge.
Nice Guy/Innocent Man (2012) is an older drama that I am quite fond of, though it is rather romance heavy. Our ML (played by Song Joong Ki of RR) ends up being used and betrayed by his evil gf who wrecks his life and then marries some rich dude. After he comes out of jail, he seeks revenge on her and involves her prickly same-age stepdaughter in it etc etc. It's great and a fave and written by the amazing Lee Kyung Hee, one of my fave screenwriters, but once again, it is more about dysfunctional people than revenge per se.
I am gonna throw this open to my followers and see if anyone has any more recs!
ETA: there are way more recs in comments including mine because I apparently can remember things only after I click post (not sure why I called you Anon tho sorry, I think it’s because I used to have Anon asks on and mostly got those.)

[Someone jokes that Macaque has developed a mega beer belly and Mac just starts crying cus of hormones. Someone gets punched.]
Was it one of the other SWKs XD ? Either them or Hunstman.
But how would the others (fam and dimensional) react to discovering this particular baby is the reincarnation of the demon that was really close to destroying the world and remaking it in her image? Like, the double take has to be legendary.
Oh it was def Huntsman who made the "beer belly" comment. He has no filter. SWK was the one who punched him, cus of shared hormones with Mac. Then the other spiders smack Huntsy on the back of the head for good measure. Sandy has to physically lift his mans out of there before they try returning him to Diyu with the receipt. Huntsman apologized via hand-woven silk baby blankets.
Whilst the parents knew from the beginning that LBD has reincarnated into their daughter (they were there obs), most of the fam hear about "Yuebei = Reincarnated LBD" from gossip or hearsay. Also the Mayor equally has no filter - he walks straight up to Macaque with an armful of baby shower gifts and waves at his stomach like; "Hello, my lady! Enjoying your new accommodations?". The friends and fam present are like "Lol what?" and SWK and Mac just decide to spill the beans.
The adults are initally freaked out ("So are we talking... fresh slate? Or is she gonna come out with the creepy whispering and bone mechs?"), but once it becomes clear that Yuebei won't have the memories or mind of her previous incarnation, the adults all sigh and just chalk it up to weird reincarnation nonsense. Pigsy expresses how he feels sorry for the kid, as he too reincarnated from a jerk (Zhu Bajie).
The kids freak out a little more. You know already how badly MK and Bai He takes the situation. Nezha ends up being the voice of reason; pointing out tha he himself is a demonic reincarnation and he can't remember squat about who his soul used to inhabit. It takes the kids a lot longer to be cool with the "Baby sister might be the Devil" situation.
As for the Wukongverse? It's a mixed bag. Under read more for spoilers
LMK Shadowpeach: *explaining what happened when they went to Diyu to sort out unrelated undead stuff* LMK!Mac: "So yeah, our unborn daughter is the reincarnation of the Bone Demon that tried to destroy all of the Mortal Realm and remake it in her image." The rest of the SWKs and LEMs: O_O? x_O? HeroIsBack!SWK: "How did that happen??? I thought reincarnation was completely random." LMK!SWK, eating peach chips: "We were planning on more kids. What remained of LBD's soul was sorta hanging around the bridge in Diyu. The gods laughed. Simple really." NewGods!SWK: "And here I thought gods getting reborn as mortals was irony." Reborn!SWK: "I pray that your enemy will be born knowing that they will be loved in this lifetime." LMK!Mac, tearing up: "Aww... thats actually really sweet of you to say-" 2000sCartoon!SWK, interupting: "Because if they turn out to be evil, we wont hesistate to bury them!" :3 LMK!Shadowpeach: *hormonal crying. The other monkeys jump to comfort them* HeroIsBack!LEM, comforting his LMK counterpart: "Annnd you ruined the moment Ganzhe." 2000sCartoon!SWK: "But it's true! We all thought it!" Netflix!SWK: "You don't say it to the parents!" Netflix!LEM: "I think it'd be hilarious if the kid turned out like her old self. Like the 10 Kings saying She's your problem now." NewGods!LEM: "Don't be so sure about that. We don't know what the Bone Demon was like as a kid. Could have been stuff she saw as an adult that messed her up. Either way it's gonna be hard for her to be a villain when she can't even stay awake for more that two hours." Smash SWK & LEM: *weren't even paying attention, they blanked out after the pregnancy talk started* "Wait... whats this about a ghost baby?" "I think one of their kids is like... a shiny pokemon or something" Meihouwang SWK & LEM: *were paying attention, but are very confused* "???"
Its all very frustrating for LMK Shadowpeach.

Through the Burning Glass
I live in gold, my fragile, golden lady. Should you let me in your heart, I will sing songs of love, comedy and maybe turn burning dirt into art. To put your memories back in piece by piece, part by part. I’m only a lover, no wit or skin, Scorching ego breaks the swan apart.
Along the sparkling branches and the flowing, gentle rivers of the Golden Garden there’s no such thing as a flower, or an ant, A butterfly, or a blooming plant, I cannot be so strong as to look through the burning glass, For you’ll cut open my dirt, And slice all the tall, loving grass. Oh- the pure, darling Sun, It allows mother’s growth and life, Apocryphal priest, sinful devil’s nun. May I take her as my wife?
Through the burning glass you’ll see the beginning and the end, And the time will pass, and unwind, And the world will burn, The light will heal and cradle, Burning trees it’ll mend. Reborn anew her crying friend. The burning queen will get her turn.

this is kind of a company secret at hasbro but whatever. u know none of the animators or the artists or toy designers who do transformers are actually allowed to design the crotch. its kind of a respect thing. but not really, cuz anyone who draws the groin area of a transformer is immediately considered sinful and must be banished for seven months "r&r" which is basically a spiritual retreat meant to save them from themselves (in the biz we have something we call "the eiffel tower syndrome" so like basically the people who do the crotch end up going insane and keeptrying to marry the toys so we hve to put them in a pool of hot tar to experience what we call "a hot death" so they can be reborn again) and im the only guy in the world allowed to do the crotch because i was touched by the sinful hand of the devil which resides underneath the hasbro headquarters rotting for all eternity as its power withers away. so whenever they make a new transformers show they gotta draw the guys without their crotches and then they call me in and i fill in the crotches later (the lady transformers are done by a different guy). i also do the molds for the toys crotches. many ppl think transformers is just one big ad ment to sell toys but its actually a passion project and the toys are just a way to pay all my fees cause its a lot of work. before i was born they actually had an entire team of specialists but exactly 23 years and 15 days after they were touched by the hand, they were raptured (? or at least we like to assume they were raptured) like they just disappeared and left a big human shaped stain on the floor which cannot be washed off and the substance it is made of has yet to be identified. so now they just have me and the other guy (never met him though) cause it was hard to explain how 30 people could disappear in one day. yeah ive been on the job about 15 years now, pays real well. i know the hand will take me away one day but ive made peace with it. you guys wanna do shots, or what?

None of them know what to expect of the new civilian heir
Maybe she would be soft and kind like Tsuna? A calm female sky how prefers words and diplomacy like Donna Aria? Surely someone that needed protectipn and guidance from her Famiglia. Daniela di Vongola had been a force of nature, but she was raised a Mafia Princess for all she wasnt the heir, that was a exception. The girl is a normal civilian after all
They are nothing alike
Its like comparing a candle to a wildfire
Sawada Yuka was like a tempest and a whirpool all into one, furious like a Storm, eerie and clever and sharp like Mist, bright and burning like a vast Sky. A perfect mix of all her flames.
No matter how much Timoteo attempted to pacify his new heir, it only made her angrier, more hateful of them all, her Guardians tried to spend time with their new boss and bond, just to be threatened begin cut open with a sword and constantly insulted as 'a butch of useless fake bastards'.
The girl have plently of cousins and a father, who were in equal standing about their hatred of the Vongola. They didn't make Timoteo's life easier, backing her actions and words without hesitation and refusing to let her out of their sight, even within the safety of the Iron Fort.
The beautiful dark-haired girl only stared at them with pure distrust and anger even after they tried to reasure her they only desire to aid her in her journey to be a great and powerful Vongola Decima, turning up her nose at the countless offers of family.
That particular conversation led to a yelling match where Yuka casually called them "a bunch of manipulative, false snakes" and "mindless sheep who can’t even think for themselves," before threatening to burn them all if they didn’t leave her the hell alone.
No, Sawada Yuka was not what they were prepared for
Vongola Nono had thought, perhaps naively, that bringing her into the fold would be as simple as offering guidance and family in form of Reborn, give her the right motivation and loyality to become the next boss of the Vongola Famiglia, as it had been with Tsunayoshi and even young Dino Cavallone. But where he had been a reluctant but ultimately kind child who warmed to the new family he never knew, Yuka was something else entirely. She was fire and fury, biting cold and sly cunningness. Always sneering and hissing and smiling like she is barring teeth like a wild animal.
Furious as a Fox-Devil
She refused their friendship, spat on their assurances of loyalty, and mocked their attempts to bridge the gap between them and cooperate. They could not understand why she would not soften, why she would not simply accept the hand extended to her.
The Vongola Guardians, too, were lost. They had expected to meet a new boss who would be the heart of their family, someone they could follow and protect. Instead, they found a ruthless girl who made it clear she didn’t want them, who regarded them as little more than strangers with titles they hadn’t earned. She insulted them at every turn, calling them useless, false, and incapable. She dismissed their attempts at camaraderie with scorn and, when they tried to prove themselves, pushed them away harder.
Young Sawada Yuka reminded Timoteo of his rebellious son, Xanxus - who still stubborn in his refusal of a attempt reconciliation - in ways that unsettled the old Don. His youngest had always been blinded by his own anger—a wrathful Sky who lashed out rather than understand and be grateful to the family he had been given. None of them had never truly grasped why he carried such hatred, why he choose such violent Elements to stand at his side to enable the ranging inferno he became.
If the Varia Boss was a Inferno, the equally dark-haired, red-blooded-eyed (and from where had those Triad members even got this blastled name? Her eyes were a shade of raven-black often. Maybe a effect of a strong secondary Storm?) fair young lady was like a willdfire, taking over everything in her way and making it hers, a ember fire dancing both playful and wicked over their skins, hungry and unforgiving.
The young Vongola started to carefully cultivate her own power and reputation much like Xanxus when younger, but it was pointless as she grew even more distant of the perfectly loyal chosen Guardians she refused to even pay attention to. Timoteo couldn't help but feel a growing concern over her paternal family's influence. His own adopted son's wildness, his unrefined passion, matched with his undisciplined Guardians, only seemed to fuel his bitterness, creating more chaos than unity. What the Vongola Decima needed were guardians who could guide her with steadiness, ones who could mold her potential without provoking such volatility.
They didn’t understand her hatred, not fully. They thought it unreasonable, excessive. Much in likeness to Xanxus and his wrath for the father who raised and sheltered him. They were trying to help her, after all. Nono asured them she was just upset at the changes in her life and would warm up to her new family soon.
But as the days turned into weeks, a gnawing unease began to settle among them. Yuka wasn’t like Tsuna. She wasn’t a reluctant boy thrust into a role he couldn’t refuse. She was something far more dangerous. She wasn’t their lamb to shepherd and send the slaughter. She was a wild feral fox, and she had no intention of letting them dictate her path.

Gaunter o'Dimm (because I was asked about him and ... well), Rand al'Thor and uuuuuuh Bilbo 😂
Now, that's an interesting set of characters you chose.
Let's start
Gaunter O'Dimm
How I feel about this character: I honestly dislike the character, concept and all. The GoD wordplay was way too obvious, and I felt he didn't really fit the world as a whole.
That being said, he is a wonderful excuse, as there was one God-like being in the world, one can now go and work in other deities, or deity-like beings and no one can say that such things don't exist in canon.
As a person I dislike Gaunter, he's a putz.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Only those I would wish severely punished. Radovid and other monsters can happily have a tumble with Gaunter and then die painfully from his schemes.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: All the Hags from Aretuza.
My unpopular opinion about this character: he's lame. One of the lamest versions of Devil Pact one could write.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. Gaunter being proven a fraud. Just a person playing with peoples fears and having delusions of grandeur.
Rand al'Thor
How I feel about this character: I like his character arc, as the readers we get to witness him growing from that farmboy, to a hero, to a leader, and to a man who transcends reality. He goes on this incredible journey, but a part of him always remains that boy from the two Rivers, even when he retrieves the memories of his former life. While he is not my favourite character in WoT, he is one I always rooted for.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: his canon ships: Min/Elayne/Aviendha, and my secret guilty pleasure is Rand al'Thor/Galad Trakand. And yes, I know that would be inknowing incest, as they share the same mother.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Perrin Aybara and Lan al'Mandragoran.
Lan and Rand share so many things, both had to rise to leadership young, Rand as the dragon reborn and Lan as the King of a destroyed nation, and both never could escape their war with the Dark One. Rand says in the end that Lan taught him how to stand tall, and that's so true.
Perrin is Rand's childhood friend and steadfast support. I could see him even as a romantic option for Rand, though his role as the solid friend on whom Rand could always rely is easily as strong. There is a dichotomy in their arcs, as Rand embraces being the Dragon Reborn (eventually) while Perrin struggles with being a Lord and a Leader for most of the story. he doesn't want people to follow him, but they do, because Perrin is a solid leader and Perrin with the banner of Manetheren is just... yes!!
My unpopular opinion about this character: I think most readers will agree that he is as stubborn as a dozen mules, so that doesn't count. His eternal distrust for anything Aes Sedai is also somewhat annoying, but most fans will agree there too.
My personal gripe with him is the multitude of girls he has. Lady Selene, Elayne, Aviendha, Min... that's such teenager wish-fullfilment, it is annoying.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. Oh there are many, I will leave it with two.
Him and Galad talking after Tarmon Gai'don. Gawyn told Galad that Galad had a half brother, so their encounter would be great. Before Tarmon Gai'don would even be better (if Galad could receive the information) because the Lord Captain Commander of the Children of Light and the Dragon Reborn would be a match made in Chaos.
Rand and Tam finding each other again after Tarmon Gai'don. Tam deserves to know that while Rand's body died on Shayol Ghul, Rand's soul did not. But I console myself that Tam may find peace in protecting Elayne's children, and thus getting to know his grandchildren.
Bilbo Baggins
How I feel about this character: I love Bilbo. The reluctant adventurer, always wishing he could be home again. His movie portrayal I also loved.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: usually none. Bilbo is one of those character who's eternal bacherlorhood is firmly engrained in the story. Though I did enjoy reading some rarepairs, paring Bilbo with Bofur or Dwalin.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: canon: Dwalin. Best friends forever. My AU: Kili - friends to hell and back.
My unpopular opinion about this character: I do not believe Bilbo could just come home and live his quiet life after all that he saw and lived through. Especially with the canon ending where Thorin, Fili and Kili died and Bilbo was bound to feel guilty about it. I cannot see Bilbo coming home and living whole and hearty, with all the nightmares (the "horrors in the halls of stone") he has lived through, including the battle of the five armies.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. I would have loved to see more of Bilbo's own adventures. See him travel, experience more things. He was fairly free in using the ring to hide, so the means to have him survive some crazy shit would have been right there. In my AU I tookl my own spin on this by Bilbo returning to Erebor.

Expand : part 5 (manhwa)
If you like,
Tumblr media
Then try
Tumblr media
Another lifetime, another hard life—Letitia’s misery continues as her uncle sends her off to the “Monster Lord” to fulfill an old pledge. Imp attacks! The three witches! A hideous masked devil hunter husband! Terrifying is an understatement.
But as she becomes the lady of Halstead, the rumors fall apart. Lord Erden is caring, he likes bunnies, and that *gasp* perfect face under the mask! How can he not know he’s HOT? Can she help protect the castle from devils and help Erden see his true self?
My note : Letitia and Erden are such a cute pair 💕, also don't let the poster fool you. The female lead has a gun and a dragon.
Tumblr media
After an office worker is reborn as Everia Oberon, a romance novel villainess destined for an evil life and a tragic death, she decides to skip the drama by retiring to the countryside. Having moved to a frigid region full of nonflammable wood, Everia calls on archmage Theoharis to warm her home with his azure flame… not realizing that she’s bound herself to a lifelong contract! Now that she’s master of a bloodthirsty (but breathtakingly handsome) demon dog, can she kiss the quiet life goodbye?
My note : this is a very chill manhwa, laid back with a strong female lead and a Dog transforming male lead.
Tumblr media
I woke up inside my favorite novel, not as the protagonist, Luca Winterwald, but as Judith, his abusive aunt and the first character to die—time for a rewrite! I’ll hand Luca off to his loving, long-lost uncle as scripted, and then live my own life far from danger. At least, that was the plan. When his uncle arrives, Luca suddenly calls out, “Don’t leave!” Now, I must protect Luca from impending family tragedy, raise him to become the hero, and turn this villainess’s ending upside down!
My note : *slaps the head of the manhwa cover* this thing can carry so much family fluff!!

are there any other anime you've seen or know of like red garden that are somewhat hidden gems or backlist series that are somewhat obscure?
I have watched a lot of anime.. spent most of the early 2000s doing so... quite a bit of it now obscure/not remembered. I have all these on DVD, some may be out of print, no idea where to stream them. Good luck!
5 Centimeters per Second (movie)- Slice-of-life that progresses through time. The prettiest scenery I've ever seen.
Armitage the III (movie)- cyberpunk, if you liked Ghost in the Shell, you'll probably like this (robot lady cop)
BoogiePop Phantom (tv series)- This would be the most like Red Garden, I think in that its spooky things happening to students and made in the early 2000s.
C-control (tv series)-- for those who like Digimon and are familiar with the horrors of capitalism. Like, if you ever thought the devil was in charge of electronic finances. But also like anime monster battles.
The Count of Monte Christo (Gankutsuou) (tv series)- if you liked the patterned look in the opening of Red Garden, all the art is like that. Very pretty if unfaithful adaption of the book.
El Cazador de la Bruja (tv series)- an amnesiac witch protected by a female bodyguard, on the run through desert towns. I think this would be for those who like Trigun, but wish it was more about 2 girls who were friends and developed a bit of more-than-friends feelings for eachother.
Haibane Renmei (tv series)-similar to RedGarden in that these girls have died and been reborn into new bodies and new roles in life, but there is no fighting, only self-discovery.
Jormungand (tv series)- a female weapons dealer adopts a child soldier boy onto her ship, and she has, to quote the back cover "a warped plan for world peace"
Kamisama Kiss (tv series)- would appeal to those who like Fruits Basket
Millennium Actress (movie)- made me cry! the mysteries of an actress' past are revealed through the roles she's played.
Noein (tv series)- I don't know how to explain it, its weird? Time travel, other dimensions. Unique art style. Did air on American TV, but was promptly forgotten about after.
Rahxephon (tv series)-what if Neon Genesis Evangelion was less depressing? Not sure how I feel about the ending. Technically a happy ending. but. hmmm.
Shangri-La (tv series)- posted about it on Tumblr years ago, an anime that addresses global warming with a spunky girl fighting for a better future, so may be even more relevant now than when it was made
The 12 Kingdoms (tv series)- Japanese people transported to fantasy worlds may be a common genre now, but this is when it wasn't all the rage, and it has very thought-out worldbuilding.
