like yes i do understand the whole chase becoming house arc and yes i do understand cameron's devastation at the realization that chase entered the point of no return after dibala but can we be real for a moment. cameron blaming house for what chase did was ridiculous. saying that chase couldn't recognize right from wrong BECAUSE of house's influence was a stretch. why did she infantilize this man and give him an ounce of absolution from his actions? cameron wasn't wrong to leave chase for what he did but HE did that!!! house wasn't the main perpetrator here. chase did that all on his own

he really is the archetype for the modern military man. just following orders, trying his best to go home, and when he messes up, the people who put him in that position immediately give him up.

he represents the modern veteran who the government gives up on as soon as they stop serving. he represents the soldier asked to do terrible things in service of a country that will never truely respect them.

John Walker was literally just a privileged white guy who didn't know what he was signing up for when he enlisted. He's not a perfect guy, but he was a good guy. Or he tried to be.
