Empty Houses in Your Birth Chart: Cosmic Ghost Town or Chill Zone?
So, you’ve been staring at your birth chart and wondering why you have empty houses. Maybe you have no planets in your 7th house (“Am I doomed to die alone?”), or your 2nd house (“Does this mean I’ll be broke forever?”). Relax. Breathe. The universe didn’t just forget to assign you a personality.
Empty houses don’t mean you lack something; they mean you don’t have a planet permanently renting space there. It’s like a fully furnished Airbnb—functional, livable, just not your primary residence. You still experience these areas of life, just without a permanent cosmic tenant making a mess of things.
Empty 1st House - House of Self, Identity, and ‘Main Character Energy’
"Who am I?"
You don’t need planets in your 1st house to have a personality, I promise. If it’s empty, your Rising Sign ruler/lord is the real MVP here—it’s the planet secretly controlling your life like an undercover boss.
It doesn't mean you’re invisible, boring, or lacking an identity. (Come on, even NPCs have a backstory.)
Unlike people with planets here, you’re not out here having existential crises every five minutes.
Empty 2nd House - House of Money, Self-Worth & That Bag 💰
"Will I ever be rich?"
You’re not destined to survive on instant noodles forever. Your financial success comes from the sign ruling this house—not a chaotic planet constantly meddling with your money habits.
Here, money isn’t the biggest stressor in your life (lucky you). You might not define yourself by wealth, but you can still make serious cash.
Empty 3rd House - House of Communication, Siblings & ‘Did You Read the Fine Print?’
"Why do people talk so much?"
No planets here? You don’t have constant mental chatter or an obsession with posting hot takes on Twitter (unlike certain air sign placements). You process information at your own pace, and your Mercury placement tells us how you communicate.
Here it simply mean that you can be a great speaker or writer—just without the need to debate everything to death.
Empty 4th House - House of Family & Emotional Foundations
"Am I emotionally stable or just unbothered?"
If your 4th house is empty, family drama isn’t your core personality trait (looking at you, Cancer moons). Your upbringing shaped you, but your emotions aren’t constantly under siege.
It means you don’t live in your past. Your sense of home and emotional security comes from the ruling sign, not a chaotic planet making things messy.
Empty 5th House - House of Fun, Romance & ‘Oops, I Did It Again’
"Am I doomed to be boring?"
Empty 5th house? You still have fun, fall in love, and make questionable decisions—it’s just not your full-time job. Your creative hobbies, love life, and risk-taking tendencies come from the house ruler, not a planet throwing drama parties.
It means you’re not obsessively seeking attention. You can still be artistic, romantic, and entertaining—you just do it without the theatrics.
Empty 6th House - House of Work, Health & That Annoying Daily Routine
"Do I even have a work ethic?"
No planets in the 6th house? Congrats, you’re not micromanaging your own existence. You handle responsibilities when necessary, but you’re not out here color-coding to-do lists at 3 AM.
It means you’re chill about work and health. You get things done without needing a constant cosmic drill sergeant yelling at you.
Empty 7th House - House of Relationships & ‘Are We Dating or Just Vibing?’
"Am I cursed in love?"
Nope, an empty 7th house doesn’t mean you’re single forever. It just means you’re not obsessed with relationships—your partnerships unfold naturally instead of being your life’s central drama.
It means you don’t overcomplicate love. You attract relationships when the time is right—without planets causing unnecessary chaos.
Empty 8th House -House of Transformation, Sex & ‘What Happens After We Die?’
"Am I missing the ‘mystical and sexy’ gene?"
The 8th house rules deep transformation, shared finances, intimacy, and, well…death. If you have an empty 8th house, does this mean you’re boring and no sexual life? (Spoiler: No.)
It means you’re not haunted by existential crises 24/7 (lucky you). You go through major transformations, but you’re not obsessing over the meaning of life while waiting for your Starbucks order.
You might have a healthy approach to power and intimacy—unlike people with a crowded 8th house, who experience life like a dramatic phoenix constantly combusting.
Empty 9th House -House of Travel, Higher Learning & ‘I’m Moving to Bali’
"Am I allergic to wisdom and adventure?"
This is the house of philosophy, wanderlust, and that one friend who quit their job to find themselves in another country. But if your 9th house is empty, are you doomed to stay in one place forever?
It means you don’t need a crisis to push you into adventure. You explore life when you want, not because a planet is forcing you into a life-changing backpacking trip.
Your beliefs and perspectives expand over time—you just don’t feel the need to become a monk overnight.
Empty 10th House - House of Career, Public Image & ‘Will I Ever Be Successful?’
"Am I a failure?"
An empty 10th house does not mean you’ll spend your life jobless, unknown, or forever stuck in an unpaid internship from hell. The 10th house rules career and legacy, but an empty one means…you don’t obsess over it 24/7.
You can be highly successful—you just don’t need planets constantly pushing you into an identity crisis about it. Your MC ruler tells the real story of your career path.
Some of the most successful people have an empty 10th house—because they’re too busy succeeding to stress over it.
Empty 11th House - House of Friendships, Social Circles & ‘Am I Cool?’
"Do I have no friends?"
An empty 11th house does not mean you’re a loner or the social equivalent of a tumbleweed. You have friends. You just don’t need a cosmic hype squad of planets managing your social life.
It means you don’t rely on social validation to exist. Your friendships are natural and not built on constant drama and chaos.
You attract the right people without forcing it. You don’t need to collect acquaintances like Pokémon cards—you value quality over quantity.
Empty 12th House - House of the Subconscious, Dreams & ‘Main Character in a Spiritual Awakening’
"Am I just…normal?"
If your 12th house is empty, does this mean you lack spiritual depth, psychic visions, and tragic poet energy? Nope. You’re just not drowning in existential dread 24/7, unlike those with a packed 12th house (send them love, they need it).
You’re not haunted by past-life trauma every time Mercury retrogrades. You connect with your spirituality in a way that’s natural and not overwhelming.
Your spiritual growth is steady and not tied to constant suffering. (Honestly, be grateful.)
🌟 Instead of asking ‘What am I lacking?’ ask ‘Where do I flow naturally?’ 🔍 Look at the ruling planet of each empty house—that’s your real guide. 🔥 Transits activate empty houses, so life will still spice things up when needed!
So, next time someone gasps at your empty 7th house (“Oh no, you’ll never find love!”), just laugh—because joke’s on them, you’re living a drama-free life.

hello have not been on here in literal years and reactivated simply to post my modern bridgerton hcs that came to me as i was falling asleep would not let me go until i wrote them down! enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~
the entire family is still very much british upper class - they regularly interact with the royals and attend all the family event like wimbledon and ascot. they are regularly featured in the pages of the tabloids much to their annoyance. they also went to either oxford, cambridge, or st. andrew’s (franny)
- anthony - still who he is, took over edmund’s position in the family business. huge company either a law firm, business like real estate or holdings. he’s ceo and damn good at his job. still viscount but it is really in name only.
- kate - still very much who she is, i can see her either going very much a lawyer or the artist route but i like to think of her as leaving her art as a hobby that she does simply for the pleasure of it.
- benedict - artist can do either painting or photography but has become very famous for it, initially it was because of the family name but then people started seeing his talent for what it is. his photos have been featured a bunch of times in british vogue and he is one of their go to photographers.
- sophie - very much a primary school teacher because of her experience with araminta as a child she was determined to not let that happen for other children so she makes damn sure that while they are at school in her class they know some one is looking out for them.
- colin - travel writer. he works for some magazine and has his own column. the magazine is owned by like some big media company that has their own building.
- penelope - pen works for a different magazine that is owned by the same parent company as colin’s so they work in the same building when colin is not on assignment. she secretly still runs lady whistledown that is like deux moi and once she gets outed she starts her own mini media empire. still besties with eloise.
- daphne - she is very much the perfect socialite philanthropist that is so perfect she seems like she would be a bitch but truly is that nice. is still married to simon after they fake dated due to some media scandal. lives her absolute best WAG life and has the season down to a science.
- simon - is a huge sports star, think david beckham. technically was still the duke but officially gave up the title to piss off his father. this man was born to be girl dad.
- eloise - once she realized just how much privilege she has, she put her money where her mouth is and is constantly going to protests much to anthony’s annoyance (not because he doesn’t agree with the cause just because she is giving the family a bad name in the press, he actually super proud of her.) el went to school for a degree in women and gender studies and is super involved in academia when not getting arrested.
- phillip/a - a botany professor at the university where el is based out of. still has the kids from their previous relationship with marina but they were able to get a divorce because it is the 21st century and co parent the twins quite well. their gender honestly doesn’t matter for this, they love plants and eloise - the order of that is not important.
- francesca - autistic, it is important to me that you know that. she is a film composer, she loves getting to create the score for movies and that it doesn’t require that much human interaction.
- john - still unfortunately passes away, but prior to that was some kind of finance guy. was generally the nicest guy and loved fran with his entire heart.
- michael/michaela - hot. like the most beautiful human being you have ever laid eyes on. they work as an actor because it’s fun but secretly are insanely smart and like build computers for fun.
- gregory - anthony’s mini me and he wouldn’t have it any other way. he works for the family company and loves it. generally small bean like but is insanely tall, like taller than benedict much to everyone’s annoyance but no one more than hyacinth. he worships the ground lucy walks on but they only have three or four kids because they have access to birth control.
- lucy - a mini kate. also a lawyer who’s family firm got bought by kate’s and then started working under her where she eventually met greg when he was visiting his favorite sister kate for their monthly lunch date. has ocd.
- hyacinth - a child prodigy, started university at like 15 (which she never lets greg forget) works as a ta (or whatever the uk equivalent is) for agatha who is an old family friend through whom she meets gareth. her field is like archeology or some other super niche thing. (agatha does not have to teach, she does it because if she doesn’t how else will the new generation ever be taught the right way to do things)
- gareth - is so fucking chill but absolutely matches hyacinths freak. no one is quite sure what he does, he has explained it many times but no one truly knows even hyacinth.
- violet - was besties with princess diana (old money england) she unfortunately passes around the same time as edmund and she just loses it. luckily it is the modern days was able to get help but it took a little while. though once she is back on her feet she is a force to be reckoned with. she runs the family foundation which focuses on mental health and allergy awareness.
thank you for reading this! i will take no criticism at this time but welcome any addition thoughts!
I'm working on a monster apocalypse story, but I'm struggling to make it unique. My focus is on the main character finding happiness and peace with his teammates, even though I plan to kill them off. I want to explore how he will overcome his past abuse and traumas while not just portraying the team as a family. I want to depict them fighting together, growing stronger, and forming closer bonds because they have all lost their families at the start of the apocalypse.
What do the series Friends, Harry Potter, and Percy Jackson all have in common?
The Found Family trope.
Found family is a classic trope in stories. But that doesn’t mean it’s overdone and can’t be used to get deep into your characters’ interiority. In fact, this trope can pack a deeper punch than most think.
Sure, it’s easy to have a group in the story with you, the writer, telling how the characters work together–like how one is easily the “mom of the group,” for example. But if you want something much deeper between your characters, and want the trope to work on multiple levels of storytelling, you must show those group connections forming and existing. Get deep with the what, why, and how your found family became a tight-knit group and work well together.
To do this, there are a few questions to ask while creating your characters. These questions flow from basic character knowledge, to in-depth details as an exercise you can do at any time, and with any story or pair/group of characters.
Let’s get started!
What is each character’s personality/identity, and what role in the group are they assigned to because of it?
From friends, to couples, to even crime-fighting superheroes, each group is made up of personalities that fit into a role the group dynamic needs. And in most cases, it’s natural.
For example, let’s say we have two characters dating each other as a couple. One character is more savvy with their finances while the other is not. This can lead to the money-savvy character filling a role for the couple as the money manager (or one with money advice, if the other character wants to learn how to better manage money instead).
You can also have a kind-hearted and loving character act as a parental figure in the group. That is, if other characters tend to get into trouble often, are opposite of kind-hearted, or are without their real parents.
First, It’s important to know exactly who your characters are , how they act, how they respond in a crisis, and so on. Only then can you put together what each character can provide to the group.
It’s just as important to make each character in your group unique. Two jokers in a group is fine, but if they act exactly the same way, and think the same things, you may actually have two characters needing to merge into one, for the sake of redundancy.
Let’s use my book’s found family of superheroes for further example. I have:
A broody, loves-to-research-type soul who’s stuck over the mysteries of his past.
His twin sister, highly personable, yearns for outside validation, and prefers the past to stay as far away as it can.
Their hot-headed childhood friend, who takes no issue picking fights and rises above any occasion with sheer tenacity.
The oldest, but cheery and justice-oriented friend, says “dude” a lot, and is like a child stuck in a man’s body.
His wife, a doctor with a heart full of gold, sass, and sees the team as misfits who are in trouble without her help.
Finally, the reserved intellectual who keeps her words short, unless you start her on science, engineering, and intel gathering.
With this make-up, I can naturally set up the characters’ roles in the group, based on personalities alone. I label the broodster as the detective and problem-solver, his sister “the public face” of the group, the childhood friend the quick-witted action-taker, the oldest “dude” the honorable leader, his wife the classic “group mom” with extra flair, and the quiet one the scientist.
Notice how each character has their own core identity, and how that creates the role they play in the group. Yes, some characters, like my twins, will likely have a small overlap of quirks–just for being family. However, it’s still important to focus on what makes each character internally different. Otherwise you lose the chance of uniqueness in your group dynamic.
As a group, what is the primary goal they want to accomplish, and why?
As you finish putting each character together with their core identity and role, another question to ask is what goal they want to accomplish together.
Here’s another way to phrase it: Why are they together in the first place, and what stops them from going separate ways?
The Avengers band together to save New York against Loki and an alien invasion. They can’t do it by themselves . Harry Potter needs new relationships upon entering wizarding life, fueling him to face Voldemort. In season one of The Mandalorian, Mandalorian Din Djarin and Grogu must face Moff Gideon together, or die trying to face him alone.
None of those groups can separate because the stakes are too high to tackle alone. Each Avenger, Harry Potter, and the adorable Star Wars father-son combo will fail their missions without their found family.
What needs/desires do each character fulfill for one another in the group?
This is where we get into the juicy character interiority and backstory. Despite how it looks, the Found Family trope is much more than what “role” characters fit into for the sake of group dynamic.
It’s also how that dynamic affects each character; and how each character relates, or fills a need, for another.
Let’s go back to The Mandalorian for this example. Din Djarin is a lone wolf mercenary who lost his family at a very young age. While he found a new purpose as a Mandalorian, it’s still not what he needed: love, family companionship. This is where Grogu came in, and why Din was unable to hand Grogu over and complete a mercenary job.
We’re talking internal plot with characters–as in, what they need so they can accomplish their goals. Not what they think they need, and not just overcoming the external plot (in this case, facing Moff Gideon).
Din needed love and family, just as Grogu needed to discover his true self. These personal goals were accomplished with the help of the other. Grogu became the “son” that helped Din overcome self-limiting beliefs about newfound companionship, while Din provided Grogu the safety and protection to discover himself and his force powers.
Maybe you have a character who, on the outside, loves to goof around and tell jokes. But what do they really need as a human being to grow? Do they need a coming-of-age-moment that only one character in the group can provide? Do you have two characters, a childless mother and an orphaned boy, who seek a second chance of love, and can find it again through caring for each other?
Captain America may be the stoic leader butting heads with playboy philanthropist Iron Man, but even those two fulfill a desire the other has: Belonging. Acceptance. Companionship.
So take a look at one of your character’s backstory, and see what other members of the group can do–in their own individual way–to help that character heal and grow.
This, ultimately, is what gives the Found Family trope unique meaning and depth in your story. Because once you truly incorporate this trope into every aspect and detail of your characters and story like this (external plot and all), it cannot be done the same way again–because only you can write your story the way you can!
How to add further depth in the Found Family trope
There was no way I was answering this question without mentioning the one thing that could add even more connection and depth between characters.
Conflict.
Just as conflict is the best method to writing a story that works, it’s also the perfect tool for establishing a found family. There are two ways to do this:
Have two or more characters in the group start as rivals or enemies, before adopting each other as a found family.
Have your found family be completely dysfunctional at the beginning. Let the characters form a group, but act unsynchronized with each other; thus failing challenges together until they finally accept one another, their talents, and grow as one to achieve their goal.
Depending on how you write your found family, these points can be one and the same. But I felt it vital to differentiate between them for the sake of being thorough in explanation.
Conflict against a character in the story is what provides opportunity for growth (or failure, if writing tragedy). The more conflict the character must face, the more opportunities they have for the growth, and thus, the deeper the character development.
This is why so many people love edgy characters and redemption arcs (like Zuko in Avatar). For edge and redemption, a character must already be at a low point in order to rise back up from their failures, and succeed.
This same concept can be done with rivals/enemies in your found family. The relationship between two characters is at a low point, which then provides all kinds of conflict, and therefore creates growth for your characters (and found family) to experience. This is also why many like the enemies to friends/lovers tropes. The character development in the journey from rock-bottom to top, if done right, is a highly rewarding story.
For writing your found family as dysfunctional at first, the story is the whole group at a low point for not being able to work together properly. And they must face extra conflict for extra growth before they can accomplish other goals as one.
All in all, the more effort your characters must give to bond with others, the deeper the drama becomes, and the more rewarding the final bonding and connection. In most cases, it’s too easy, and not as fulfilling for a reader, if all characters already start off as good friends, or become friends quickly upon joining a found family. Give one character a trait or two another character doesn’t like. Have one character forced to learn and accept another for who they are. How their abilities, quirks, or other aspects can actually be a benefit.
This kind of conflict set-up matches perfectly with any story theme that involves one needing to set aside differences with another in order to succeed and/or survive. Once more, Avengers is the perfect example of it. They were a dysfunctional group of people that didn’t trust each other. But, after losing Coulson, only saving the world mattered.
And there you go! The simple, yet meaningful basics of how to write the Found Family trope and make it work for you. If you need more examples, a quick google search will hand you a plethora of stories you can use for reference and research.
Otherwise, I look forward to seeing your found families emerge in your story. Happy character plotting and writing!
Can Europe switch to a ‘wartime mindset’? Take it from us in Ukraine: here is what that means
Oleksandr Mykhed
Buy a power bank and write a will. You’ll need a ‘bug-out bag’ packed and ready to go. In Kyiv, we’ve learned how to survive Russia’s hybrid warfare
Day 1,024 of the invasion. Kyiv, 7am. Friday the 13th. In a former life, someone would have observed that this is a day that portends bad luck. But in a country where shelling is a daily occurrence, it has become irrelevant. I wake up to the sound of an app on my phone warning me of an increased missile threat. While my partner and I are hiding in the corridor, I read the news that the Nato chief, Mark Rutte, has called on members of the US-led transatlantic alliance to “shift to a wartime mindset”.
With the first bang of the air defence system, a thought strikes me: for those who have not already been living with it for nearly three years, how would you explain this mindset? What is this wartime thinking?
Let’s start with the basics. Try to accept the thesis that Russia is your enemy. Everything Russian is your enemy. I know this is complicated. But Russia has been using literally everything as an instrument of hybrid warfare: sports, ballet, classical music, literature, art – these are all platforms for promoting its narratives. Even your neatest Russian Orthodox church could conceal Russian intelligence officers, just waiting for the command to put down their incense burners and take up arms. Don’t forget that for advocates of the political doctrine known as “the Russian world”, this world is potentially limitless; it exists wherever the Russian language is spoken and monuments to Pushkin have been plonked down.
Before the invasion, the enemy will try to unsettle the internal political situation. Local rightwing radical movements and parties will rise, financed by Russia. They won’t need to ram you with their tanks immediately, as they can simply bribe hundreds of useful idiots and bloggers to sow chaos and stir up distrust towards the authorities. They will disseminate targeted social media content that will provoke you, pressing hard on your society’s sore points – all generated by Russian bot factories and psychological operations specialists.
Russia will use teenagers as an instrument of chaos. As if on a bizarre quest, they will receive tasks from their handlers via messengers. They will set fire to military vehicles, plant explosives under a local power station, place a phone call to a school to report an explosion – anything to sow chaos.
It’s hard to believe, but it won’t be Vladimir Putin himself invading your country. It will be hundreds of thousands of ordinary Russians who have been told for decades that your values are evil. No one will care about the nuances and subtleties of your specific leftism, libertarianism or liberalism. What Putin calls the “collective west”, he regards as uniform, and evil.
Wartime mindset is understanding that before invading your country, Russia will compile a list of experienced military officers, public intellectual figures, journalists, politicians, writers and prominent doctors, and will try to eliminate them all. It will try to wipe out those who are at the forefront of thinking up ideas, as well as the first line of military reservists.
Bizarrely, the cohort in greatest danger might be your surfers. The ideologue behind the “Russian world” concept, Aleksandr Dugin, assigns a special place in hell to them: “The most terrible ghettos will be made for surfers – this is the most impudent, the most anti-Eurasian phenomenon. There is nothing more revolting than riding on this disgusting board displaying a white-toothed smile.” And he is dead serious. You have been warned.
Wartime mindset means having a “bug-out bag” packed and ready to go, to fit your whole life into one backpack. Copies of documents. A few family photos. A first aid kit. A power bank. A spare pair of underwear and socks. Something you can leave home with.
The most difficult thing to believe is that war could be on your doorstep. And this doorstep is not symbolic, but very real: the doorstep of your own home. The loss of your favourite porcelain, your parents’ books, childhood photos of your grownup children, the inability to take your beloved cat, dog or hamster while being evacuated – all of this is real.
It always seems that war is something that happens to someone else, in some poorer part of the world. They can’t just start dropping bombs on the capital of a European country in the 21st century! Wartime mindset is the realisation that they can.
And no matter how hard you try to prepare, one day you will wake up to an enemy missile attack. You will think that it will be over in two or three weeks, another month at most. Soon you will lose track of the days. But you will love your country with all your heart. You will fall in love with the national humour and character again, and rediscover your national cuisine. In fact, you will come to regard every national dish cooked in the dark (as there will be no electricity) as an element of national resilience and resistance.
Intellect, by molly.
— People often underestimate the seriousness of your sudden shift of motivation, in this day and age; it’s uncommon to see anyone (especially younger people) read a book or have any interest in having goals whatsoever, but you’re different, you’ve set the curve, you’re the centre of attention and everyone should be like you especially when it comes to academics, parents are constantly asking you to teach their kids your way because of how effortless your work ethic and dedication to school seems.
— Whenever the teacher needs an example on how to do a math equation or what a well written and worded essay SHOULD look like they always hold up your assignments as an example, you are 100% the best example of what a student should be like an any generation but especially this one, all of the parents and guardians with the “brain rotted iPad babies” or “wasting their lives away because of technology addiction teenagers” beg you to tell them what your “secret is” but maybe you’re not even fully aware of your greatness or level of discipline and success.
— You have a very distinct and important morning routine that you do every day, whether your routine has 4-steps or 40-steps it’s almost like it’s been burned into your DNA to follow it daily, your routine is not optional, you have the most perfect sleep schedule it’s almost as perfect as you, but in case you need a late study night you wake up everyday well rested regardless of whether you slept a full 8-hours or not, your memory to do things is amazing, you have a better memory than most people in your classes, you remember everything that you hear, read, and write in terms of school, you remember how to spell everything, your handwriting is always neat and legible, you could basically rewrite the dictionary at this point, fun fact: most people in this generation aren’t fluent in English because of the lack of spelling and vocabulary (my teacher said this so it’s probably true), while the other people in your class are crying over the phone ban if you have you you’re perfectly fine without your phone for 6-8 hours a day, you’ve never had any issues writing stories or having original thoughts, you have an extremely expanded vocabulary and are an amazing writer, “You don’t use brain rot?? Nerd alert!” It’s surprising to hear someone only use quote “brain rot terms” ironically, whilst the rest of the world is having unintelligent conversations about skibidi toilet and whatnot you’re the complete opposite.
— You have no issues in and are the best at all forms of mathematics, geometry, algebra, calculus, arithmetic, trigonometry, number theory, statistics, set theory, topology, discrete mathematics, probability, combinatorics, numbers, mathematics analysis, analytical geometry, differential equations, applied mathematics, game theory, pure mathematics, linear algebra, numerical analysis, and matrix algebra, natural sciences, engineering, medicine, finance, computer science and social sciences, biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, earth sciences, zoology, ecology, microbiology, astrophysics, neuroscience, logic, ethics, psychology, philosophy, mechanics, and social sciences, morphology, sociolinguistics, pragmatics, psycholinguistic, linguistics, phonetics, historical linguistics, stylistics, and computational linguistics plus whatever other courses and classes that you have. [If this last part seems random it’s because it is, it’s copy and pasted from a personal sub I made a year ago for 11th grade :p]
_Things to remember
You can and will only ever manifest what you desire from this subliminal
Make sure not to obsess over your results because they can lead to limiting beliefs
You don’t have to listen daily or 1-7 times or anything like that, one is always enough with any subliminal :)
Below the cut is a detailed FAQ for the zine. Please read before sending questions!
General Information
What is this zine about?
Along the Way is a charity zine celebrating the Linked Universe as a comic, a fandom, and a community. The overall theme will focus on the found family aspects of the chain and the friendships forged on their journey. Each of the 9 Linked Universe Links will have a section dedicated to them, which will include 1 short story and 3 pages of art.
Is the zine digital or physical?
Both! The zine will be produced as a digital PDF and as a physical book.
Will there be extra merch?
Yes! There will be a keychain, a bookmark, and 3 sticker designs available in addition to the zine.
What's the content rating for the zine?
The zine will be limited to a maximum content rating of Teen, or PG-13. The tone of the zine will be optimistic, so we won't be including any intense content.
Will the zine feature AUs or ships?
No, this zine will not feature any specific AUs or ships. Along the Way is focused on the friendships between the Links.
Regarding headcanons, we will be sticking as close to canon as we can. Widely-accepted fanon (i.e. Time and Warriors knowing each other from the War of Eras) can be acceptable, but is discouraged.
If you have a specific question about what is and isn't alright to include, ask the mods.
What's the production schedule?
You can find the full timeline, including contributor deadlines, here.
Interest Check Q&A, Part 1 ⚙️🧡
Thank you for all of your interest thus far!
Q: Will there be an NSFW add-on or NSFW work allowed? A: This zine will be SFW only, with only canon typical depictions of violence and death allowed. We will also not be allowing NSFW portfolio pieces during applications.
Q: Will there be an opportunity for pinch hitters? A: Yes! As stated in our info doc: If a contributor is needing to drop out, they should notify a mod as soon as possible. Pinch hitters may be contacted as late as the second check-in. After that time, there will simply be one fewer contributor.
Q: What kind of experience would be desirable for aspiring mods to have aside from zine work? A: Experience can also come from non zine projects! For example, since we are searching for a finance mod, if you are an accountant or work with finances professionally, then that's great work to put in your application! We also want to know if you work well with a team, so any record of team based projects would be good too! For finance, we are looking for someone who is very knowledgeable about zines and manufacturing, but any extra life experiences that aren't from zines could bolster an application.
Q: Will it be possible to show/see other Zaunites we don't see much in ep7, like Sevika ? (Who is in the background a few times for example.) A: Yes! As outlined in our carrd and info doc we would love to have a few pieces focused on Zaunites not shown in the episode so long as the theories/depictions of those characters, such as Sevika, are compatible with the canon established in the alternate reality.
Q: I think it would be really cool to see the idea of Jayce and Viktor travelling to the dimension that Heimerdinger and Ekko were sent to! A: As fun of an AU this is, this zine will be focusing on what canonically took place in Anomaly Zaun and exploring different aspects of what we've seen. We recommend you check out Only You, a Jayvik AU zine, that would be more suited to explore this idea! @onlyyoujayvik
Q: How will deadlines work for Contributors, and how will communication work? (Will there be a server/GC for it or will the Admins assign you with another person if you’re needed to illustrate their work for example?) A: All relevant contributor information is outlined in our info doc! All contributors will need a discord account as all communication for the zine will take place on discord. There is a set check in schedule all contributors must follow where each contributor sends the mods updates on their progress. In the event of spot art, we will provide contributors more information about the process during creation. Generally for spot art, artists will have the opportunity to illustrate a small piece for a writer or alt creator in addition to their main work (page art, merch).
Q: Will you ship internationally? A: From our info doc: The zine will ship to any location that USPS (the United States Postal Service) can ship to, which is currently over 180 different international countries and domestically. If there are changes to where we can and can’t ship (such as due to strikes), we will provide more information about that closer to preorders.
Q: Would love to see Zaunite headcanons for characters we don’t know the origin of, like lest :-) A: As much as we love this idea, the main focus of this zine is not Zaun but the alternate reality Zaun that we saw in episode 7 season 2. We want to focus more on characters who canonically reside in Zaun, but depending on the pitch there are chances for characters like Lest to appear in the zine.
Hello I’ve had this on my mind for awhile. How much of the plot is Rachel’s doing? What I mean is that we all agree that the canvas series was written better. So how much of the original is actually written by RS and how much by webtoon? RS said it herself that she didn’t think the comic would be longer than 40 episodes. What are your thoughts?
There have been AMA's in the past from Webtoons Originals creators where people have asked those questions, and many other statements from creators on Twitter basically verify everything that's been said in these AMA's (or at least pretty close). I don't know what Rachel's situation is specifically, but Webtoons really doesn't exert as much control over the final product as, say, traditional markets do.
Like, in the book publishing market, if you want to work with a publisher, that means you have to submit a manuscript to publishers until one accepts you. Then they'll typically assign you an editor who will go through your book and help make it into the best version it can be before it gets put on shelves. While they'll try to work as best to your original vision as possible - as your original vision is what they accepted in the manuscript stage - they'll still be holding certain expectations over their authors because they don't want to release a book that's crap. They want to ensure the book that releases is good enough to make money, because if it makes money, that benefits both the publishing house and the writer. If the writer refuses to work with the editor - whether due to the publisher not acting in the writer's best interests or the writer being too stubborn to allow change - then the publishing house and writer may decide to go separate ways as the publishing house doesn't want to sell a book that isn't up to their standards.
Webtoons, on the other hand, does not operate this way. The 'editors' seem to be less for the sake of quality assurance and polish and more for acting as middlemen between the creator and the company. The creators do not speak to the "higher ups", if they have questions or concerns that can only be answered by specific departments in Webtoons (ex. statistics, finances, etc.) then they have to ask those questions to their editor who will then go to the higher-ups, get the answers they can, and then relay them back to the creator. This is basically the bare minimum function of editors. Anything else they do for creators is offering helpful suggestions which, unlike in the traditional publishing industry, the creators are not obligated to listen to. The creator's only real obligation is to meet their deadlines. The editors are really just there to ensure that the creator is following Terms of Service guidelines (i.e. if the creator submits an episode that blatantly breaks those rules, the editor can tell them no) and to act as a liaison between the creator and the company.
So, knowing this, I fully believe a lot of what's happening in the comic is Rachel's own doing. That said, they could very well have a different structure with how they operate due to Lore Olympus being the #1 comic on the platform. Maybe Rachel is more obligated to listen to whatever the higher-ups say. Maybe it's in her contract that she has to include certain things for the sake of "marketability". We don't know.
What we DO know is who edits Lore Olympus. Bre Boswell.
This is where I'm gonna go on a bit of a tinfoil hat rampage, so bear with me, but take everything I'm about to say with a potentially-lethal dose of salt.
I see people bring up the editor a lot, but honestly, I don't think LO having a bad editor is the case. Bre Boswell edits a lot of series on Webtoons - and it's a well known issue that many editors are working on WAY too many series at the same time but that's a separate can of worms - but none of them are quite as blatantly awful as LO is. The Kiss Bet isn't a masterpiece, but it's just fine for what it is. Shiloh and Nevermore are both solid pieces of work with great art and great writing. Aside from that, I've spoken personally to people who know Bre and can attest that she's a great editor and a very sweet person.
But Bre wasn't always the editor of LO.
The original editor was Bekah Caden.
Bekah is no longer an editor at Webtoons. Whether it was her own choice, again, we don't know, but she does stand by the fact that Webtoons wasn't an awful company to work for during her time there, so I'd like to believe she had an overall positive experience.
Of course, Bekah has not been the sole editor of Lore Olympus since Episode 30. So while I'm sure she's speaking in good faith here, I think a lot has changed on the backend of Webtoons since she was a part of it, especially during that pandemic period when Webtoons experienced a boom in readership... only to lose a lot of it by 2022, when the company made some risky ventures in advertising and got (justifiably) called out on it, and when many creators stepped forward to talk about their negative experiences with the company (as much as they could under the weight of their NDA's). I'm not saying Bekah is lying here, more so just that clearly things have changed since she was working for the company. She hasn't been the sole editor for LO since 2018, literally two years before the plague.
Of course, that was when she was the sole editor. For a short period of time, LO actually had two editors - Bekah Caden and Annie LaHue.
Now, Bekah has worked for other publishers like Dark Horse and has calls for work, but Annie, on the other hand, seemed to have her breakout with LO, and then switched gears entirely by working for Webtoons' competitor, Tapas. Now it seems like she's stepped away from editing entirely (but she's writing a book so that's neat ! )
Anyways. Where does Bre come in to all this?
Bekah slowly phased out of editing LO, fully quitting by Episode 54 where Annie took over.
And then Annie just... disappeared.
There was no transition period like there was with Bekah. Annie was there, and then as soon as Episode 100 hit, she was gone. Bre took over as the sole editor of LO with Episode 101, and she's been the editor ever since.
So now let's talk about Bre.
Bre is the editor of Lore Olympus. She's also the editor of Down to Earth, Shiloh, Nevermore, The Kiss Bet, The Doctors Are Out, Edith, Metaphorical HER, Messenger, Matchmaker Hero, Lavender Jack, Wolfsbane, Soul on Hold, Muted, Unlucky is as Lucky does, Brass & Sass, Assassin Roommate, BOO! It's Sex, and I'm sure many more that haven't been updated on her website. She's not the only editor who's managing this many series, there are some editors who are rumored to have 30+ series on the go. That is a ridiculous amount for ONE person to have to keep track of. That's a lot of series for one person to have to read all on their own schedules, let alone manage. In Bre's case, out of that list alone, that's something like 16 separate creators to keep tabs on, communicate with and for, with series that vary wildly among genres and contractual obligations.
So yeah, Bre is a straight up badass, but something about her sudden presence in LO has always bugged me. Then it came to me, something that I believe I've mentioned here before, but will talk about again because it really is interesting food for thought to chew on.
Bre came on as the editor in March 2020. Five months after the Jim Henson purchase was announced.
And what does Bre have on her resume?
Traditional animation, with a minor in Writing for Television.
This is very tinfoil hat, don't get me wrong, so take this with MOUNTAINS of salt, but there are a LOT of things that point to LO turning out the way it did due to its TV deal. Not only did Bre come on suddenly shortly after the TV deal was announced, but that time range is when the art really started to look like what it does today - because it's where Rachel started taking on more assistants, some of whom still work on the series to this day (ex. Dnaeri, who came on as a regular assistant around Episode 74, which came out August 2019, two months before the TV deal was announced, but had likely already been signed. Dnaeri, btw, has an education in... you guessed it, Fine Arts in Animation.) Many of her assistants nowadays are people with experience in larger industries and massive portfolios featuring work far more advanced than what's being done in LO.
So while I don't think a lot of the plot threads are on Bre or the platform - I think it's genuinely just Rachel writing herself into a corner and not wanting to let go of the one project she clings to the most as her only "success" - I do think there are some creative decisions regarding the structure of the comic (like it's constant use of pointless soap opera style cliffhangers and its corporate scrubbing of the art style) that may be consequences of the comic being picked up for TV. Like how it now feels like the comic is being fluffed up with way too many plotlines, possibly in an attempt to give the TV show more to do, or how it feels like they're scrubbing and retconning all the S1 content that came from before the TV deal.
A shame if that is the case, because the TV show hasn't happened and likely isn't going to happen. It feels like such a waste of Webtoons' resources and money to sign on all these industry-class assistants and editors for a comic that's being managed by Rachel "Retcon" Smythe.
Day 1,024 of the invasion. Kyiv, 7am. Friday the 13th. In a former life, someone would have observed that this is a day that portends bad luck. But in a country where shelling is a daily occurrence, it has become irrelevant. I wake up to the sound of an app on my phone warning me of an increased missile threat. While my partner and I are hiding in the corridor, I read the news that the Nato chief, Mark Rutte, has called on members of the US-led transatlantic alliance to “shift to a wartime mindset”.
With the first bang of the air defence system, a thought strikes me: for those who have not already been living with it for nearly three years, how would you explain this mindset? What is this wartime thinking?
Let’s start with the basics. Try to accept the thesis that Russia is your enemy. Everything Russian is your enemy. I know this is complicated. But Russia has been using literally everything as an instrument of hybrid warfare: sports, ballet, classical music, literature, art – these are all platforms for promoting its narratives. Evenyour neatest Russian Orthodox church could conceal Russian intelligence officers, just waiting for the command to put down their incense burners and take up arms. Don’t forget that for advocates of the political doctrine known as “the Russian world”, this world is potentially limitless; it exists wherever the Russian language is spoken and monuments to Pushkin have been plonked down.
Before the invasion, the enemy will try to unsettle the internal political situation. Local rightwing radical movements and parties will rise, financed by Russia. They won’t need to ram you with their tanks immediately, as they can simply bribe hundreds of useful idiots and bloggers to sow chaos and stir up distrust towards the authorities. They will disseminate targeted social media content that will provoke you, pressing hard on your society’s sore points – all generated by Russian bot factories and psychological operations specialists.
Russia will use teenagers as an instrument of chaos. As if on a bizarre quest, they will receive tasks from their handlers via messengers. They will set fire to military vehicles, plant explosives under a local power station, place a phone call to a school to report an explosion – anything to sow chaos.
It’s hard to believe, but it won’t be Vladimir Putin himself invading your country. It will be hundreds of thousands of ordinary Russians who have been told for decades that your values are evil. No one will care about the nuances and subtleties of your specific leftism, libertarianism or liberalism. What Putin calls the “collective west”, he regards as uniform, and evil.
Wartime mindset is understanding that before invading your country, Russia will compile a list of experienced military officers, public intellectual figures, journalists, politicians, writers and prominent doctors, and will try to eliminate them all. It will try to wipe out those who are at the forefront of thinking up ideas, as well as the first line of military reservists.
Bizarrely, the cohort in greatest danger might be your surfers. The ideologue behind the “Russian world” concept, Aleksandr Dugin, assigns a special place in hell to them: “The most terrible ghettos will be made for surfers – this is the most impudent, the most anti-Eurasian phenomenon. There is nothing more revolting than riding on this disgusting board displaying a white-toothed smile.” And he is dead serious. You have been warned.
Wartime mindset means having a “bug-out bag” packed and ready to go, to fit your whole life into one backpack. Copies of documents. A few family photos. A first aid kit. A power bank. A spare pair of underwear and socks. Something you can leave home with.
The most difficult thing to believe is that war could be on your doorstep. And this doorstep is not symbolic, but very real: the doorstep of your own home. The loss of your favourite porcelain, your parents’ books, childhood photos of your grownup children, the inability to take your beloved cat, dog or hamster while being evacuated – all of this is real.
It always seems that war is something that happens to someone else, in some poorer part of the world. They can’t just start dropping bombs on the capital of a European country in the 21st century! Wartime mindset is the realisation that they can.
And no matter how hard you try to prepare, one day you will wake up to an enemy missile attack. You will think that it will be over in two or three weeks, another month at most. Soon you will lose track of the days. But you will love your country with all your heart. You will fall in love with the national humour and character again, and rediscover your national cuisine. In fact, you will come to regard every national dish cooked in the dark (as there will be no electricity) as an element of national resilience and resistance.
While waiting for a miracle, I really want to believe that none of this will happen to you, as it has happened to us.
Kyiv, 10am. End of the air-raid alert. The Russians have launched 90 missiles and 200 killer drones targeting civilian infrastructure. The goal remains the same: to force Ukrainians to live without electricity, heat and gas. Terrorising civilians is a method typical of a terrorist country. An ordinary morning of abnormal reality, and yet the world’s common will is not forceful enough to stop it.
I realise that I have run out of time to tell you the most important things of all: give your partner a kiss right now; take a course in tactical medicine, and another in firearms training; buy a power bank; write a will; and find out where the nearest bomb shelter is. For no reason. Just in case miracles don’t happen, and you find yourself called upon to shift to a wartime mindset.
9/20/2023 — Hello, studying world. Today I start my journey of learning Korean with my first university Korean class (online). We didn't have any work on the first day, so all I did was read the syllabus (the most basic, non-informative syllabus I've ever read, ha), set up my new desk space, and updated my student bio on Canvas. I haven't been a college student for about 3 years, so it felt like I accomplished a lot. When the readings and assignments start coming in, I'm sure reality will hit.
I've always wanted to learn Korean, and my goal is to reach a near-fluent level, but I know it'll be hard, especially with my full-time work priorities. Eventually, being able to teach and work in translation is my goal. FYI, Chinese, Thai, and Japanese are on my list, too, but I'll be realistic and focus on one language for the foreseeable future.
Last week, as it so happens, I had to move from my family and childhood home, and I am lacking in the positivity department rn, so I think having a place to chronicle my studies and the progress I make will be good for me. I tend to start a new blog on here when I'm having a hard time, and it helps.
So, the plan is to take two full academic years of Korean (that's 3 quarters per year at my university). That's just how much Korean the school offers. I graduated in 2020 from this same university with a BA in English with a focus on professional and creative writing, and I really enjoyed the overall experience studying here.
I spent a whole lot of time obsessing over grammar, reading new and old literature, trying to understand poetry, and just enjoying the inner peace I felt when writing fiction. It was maybe my most happy time because I had no other real responsibilities or worries besides school. All I did was read and write.
Anyhow, fast forward to now, after pondering different language learning options (which are limited in my area), I decided to take my Korean classes at the university level because the classes will show up on my official university transcripts, and I imagine that will be best when I apply for future Korean-related jobs. I am also hoping that by taking university-level language classes, they will have some sort of superior level of... intensity? accuracy? efficiency? Something like that. Granted, this route isn't the best for my finances, as there is no aid for non-matriculated post-grads, and the cost of a single class is quite ridiculous. But alas, here I am, with an empty wallet and hope in my eyes.
Upon reading the syllabus today, which could basically be summarized as "TBD," I realized the textbook I bought, the textbook I waited over a week for, the one listed on the online course materials list, is, in fact, not the correct textbook.
And, icing on the bitter cake, the correct textbook appears to be a rare Pokémon that isn't available anywhere except the dark corners of eBay, where shipping will take at least 2 weeks. Like how did other students get this? Did they order it two months in advance? Meanwhile, I have my first assignments and readings due Monday.
I quite literally just sent an email to my professor and asked what I should do, so we'll see what she says, but I really wasn't hoping to be that one student, emailing the professor about an issue on day 1.
Since this is my first post here, here also is a tiny bit about me:
My name is Asya ("Asia"), and I'm a 24-year-old English grad based in Washington; no, not the one followed by DC, but the state with a lot of rain and trees. Twilight? Starbucks? Amazon? Yes, that one.
Since graduating in 2020, I've been a freelance editor and writer. I'm taking Korean both for passion and for work purposes, and I really should have started sooner. But I guess we're all on our own timelines.
I've been on Tumblr for a long, long time, but I've never been part of the studyblr sector. I'm glad to be here. :)
Nonfiction Recommendations: Jewish American Heritage Month
Black, White and Jewish by Rebecca Walker
The Civil Rights movement brought author Alice Walker and lawyer Mel Leventhal together, and in 1969 their daughter, Rebecca, was born. Some saw this unusual copper-colored girl as an outrage or an oddity; others viewed her as a symbol of harmony, a triumph of love over hate. But after her parents divorced, leaving her a lonely only child ferrying between two worlds that only seemed to grow further apart, Rebecca was no longer sure what she represented. In this book, Rebecca Leventhal Walker attempts to define herself as a soul instead of a symbol—and offers a new look at the challenge of personal identity, in a story at once strikingly unique and truly universal.
Bad Jews by Emily Tamkin
What does it mean to be a Bad Jew? Many Jews use the term “Bad Jew” as a weapon against other members of the community or even against themselves. You can be called a Bad Jew if you don’t keep kosher; if you only go to temple on Yom Kippur; if you don’t attend or send your children to Hebrew school; if you enjoy Christmas music; if your partner isn’t Jewish; if you don’t call your mother often enough. The list is endless.
In Bad Jews, Emily Tamkin argues that perhaps there is no answer to this timeless question at all. Throughout American history, Jewish identities have evolved and transformed in a variety of ways. American Jewish history is full of discussions and debates and hand wringing over who is Jewish, how to be Jewish, and what it means to be Jewish. In this book, Emily Tamkin examines the last 100 years of American Jewish politics, culture, identities, and arguments. Drawing on over 150 interviews, she tracks the evolution of Jewishness throughout American history, and explores many of the evolving and conflicting Jewish positions on assimilation; race; Zionism and Israel; affluence and poverty, philanthropy, finance, politics; and social justice. From this complex and nuanced history, Tamkin pinpoints perhaps the one truth about American Jewish It is always changing.
Genius & Anxiety by Norman Lebrecht
In a hundred-year period, a handful of men and women changed the way we see the world. Many of them are well known—Marx, Freud, Proust, Einstein, Kafka. Others have vanished from collective memory despite their enduring importance in our daily lives. Without Karl Landsteiner, for instance, there would be no blood transfusions or major surgery. Without Paul Ehrlich, no chemotherapy. Without Siegfried Marcus, no motor car. Without Rosalind Franklin, genetic science would look very different. Without Fritz Haber, there would not be enough food to sustain life on earth.
What do these visionaries have in common? They all had Jewish origins. They all had a gift for thinking in wholly original, even earth-shattering ways. In 1847 the Jewish people made up less than 0.25% of the world’s population, and yet they saw what others could not. How? Why?
Norman Lebrecht has devoted half of his life to pondering and researching the mindset of the Jewish intellectuals, writers, scientists, and thinkers who turned the tides of history and shaped the world today as we know it. In Genius & Anxiety, Lebrecht begins with the Communist Manifesto in 1847 and ends in 1947, when Israel was founded. This robust, magnificent volume, beautifully designed, is an urgent and necessary celebration of Jewish genius and contribution.
People Love Dead Jews by Dara Horn
Renowned and beloved as a prizewinning novelist, Dara Horn has also been publishing penetrating essays since she was a teenager. Often asked by major publications to write on subjects related to Jewish culture—and increasingly in response to a recent wave of deadly antisemitic attacks—Horn was troubled to realize what all of these assignments had in common: she was being asked to write about dead Jews, never about living ones. In these essays, Horn reflects on subjects as far-flung as the international veneration of Anne Frank, the mythology that Jewish family names were changed at Ellis Island, the blockbuster traveling exhibition Auschwitz, the marketing of the Jewish history of Harbin, China, and the little-known life of the "righteous Gentile" Varian Fry. Throughout, she challenges us to confront the reasons why there might be so much fascination with Jewish deaths, and so little respect for Jewish lives unfolding in the present.
Horn draws upon her travels, her research, and also her own family life—trying to explain Shakespeare’s Shylock to a curious ten-year-old, her anger when swastikas are drawn on desks in her children’s school, the profound perspective offered by traditional religious practice and study—to assert the vitality, complexity, and depth of Jewish life against an antisemitism that, far from being disarmed by the mantra of "Never forget," is on the rise. As Horn explores the (not so) shocking attacks on the American Jewish community in recent years, she reveals the subtler dehumanization built into the public piety that surrounds the Jewish past—making the radical argument that the benign reverence we give to past horrors is itself a profound affront to human dignity.
You can find her at @shootingst4rpress, or on her beloved website, https://shootingstarpress.xyz/. Her favourite Minecraft Youtuber is FalseSymmetry.
Zephaniah Grains (it/they) is the writing mod for this zine! It's also a writer, ttrpg designer, and stage manager. On the fandom projects front, it production manages and vocal directs the From The Archives podfic project, wrote for and edited the Scarland Artbook, and contributed writing to both Hermitzine 8 and Trafficzine 4. And is modding a few other zines-in-the-works! Keep an eye out.
Zeph doesn't have any social media, but you can find its writing on its cowriter's ao3 account, Sixteenthdays. It has normal feelings about Minecraft Youtuber ZombieCleo.
A10 (he/she) is the social media and art mod! She is a french animation student that probably spends more time working on zines than school assignments. His previous projects include modding the 8th edition of Hermitzine, and participating in many other mcyt zines as a contributor.
You can find him as some variation of @boxbug on most platforms: tumblr, instagram, and youtube. Picking a favorite is hard, but in terms of watch time it is, without a doubt, Pearlescentmoon!
Marzo (she/her) is the editing and layout mod for Morning Star. As a professional graphic designer, she loves bringing design elements into the illustration-dominated MCYT fandom space, especially within group projects like zines! Her zine experience spans several mcyt fandoms, including Hermitcraft with Hermitzine, DSMP with SAFEGUARD, MCC with the Winner’s POV zine, the Life Series with Trafficzine, and Empires with Empiropedia.
You can find her art and design on her tumblr, as well as her writing on Ao3. She’s decided to pick Stressmonster up and put her in her pocket. She’s not currently willing to share.
Watt Volt (he/its) is a writing mod and a finance mod for Morning Star. Self-described as an amateur poet, he loves all things literature! This, of course, includes dedicated fanworks, whether that be prose, poetry, or even theorizing and long-form discussions. You might recognize it from the Hermitzine mod team as the writing mod there, too!
You'll find him over on tumblr or twitter, but it's prone to scuttling under a rock when approached. (Bring a piece of paper that has the name "ivorycello" on it and it'll be more than happy to see you!
Bax (He/She) is a finance mod for Morning Star. He has a passions for illustration, graphic design, cosplay, print production, and of course, project organization! Currently, Bax is also running The Hermit Arcana: a Hermitcraft Tarot Card Zine, and has contributed/is contributing to zines such as the MCSR Tarot zine and Hermitcraft Season Zine.
You can find him on tumblr and twitter, and he also sometimes streams on twitch! He’s a huge fan of ZombieCleo and her very normal, very comfy recording setup.
Experts
The MCYT fandom is big, so our Experts assist the moderators with knowledge about the many fandoms we feature.
Blods (she/they) is the Aimsey consultant for Morning Star. They are a hobby artist with a love of horror, medieval literature and portraiture. They have previously worked on Hermitzine 8 and the Scarland Artbook, she was also commissioned by Aimsey to create a poster for their project, “Hope for an endless sunset”.
You can find Blods yelling about Aimsey’s various projects, QSMP, hermits and the Welsh language on twitter and tumblr. They promise to be very normal if you ask them about the ARG variants of Guqqie and Aimsey.
Rott (he/him) is the QSMP consultant for this zine. He is a video editor and rpg/podcast enthusiast who dedicates a lot time to watching VODs in languages he may or may not understand! While this is his first zine, he is the sound director of From The Archives, a Hermitcraft podfic project.
You can occasionally find him on twitter but he's mostly lurking in the shadows of qsmpblr and can be summoned for the low low price of mentioning vampires (he promises not to bite). Favorites are hard but he just thinks oiBagi and f1nn5ter are neat :)
Elo (she/her) is the Dsmp consultant for this zine. She's an animation student who is way too busy to be active on social media. Somehow, she's still an active anon on Tumblr for Tina <3. She spent a good chunk of her adult years watching every possible Dsmp lore point of view to create theories and is now in retirement, only helping to make statistics for competitive mc events.
If you want to force her to talk, ask her about animation, Tina, Sylvee, or even Hannah, she may come out of hiding.
Zomak Assignment : Tips for Writing Effective BSBPMG534 Assignments
The education system is an ongoing transformative force in the lives of students. The education system in this digital era is a bit complex in nature; it provides all access to education but has also reduced the chances of students seeking help online and directly copying their assignments from the internet, which has created fair competition in the classroom. Education in schools is no longer limited to textbooks; now it consists of assignments, homework, class activities, extracurriculars, etc. along with the textbooks. It is difficult for a student to pay attention to all these aspects and score well. In these cases, assignment writing services come into the picture.
Zomak Assignment Writing Services is one such website that helps students write their assignments and homework prior to the deadline and enables them to score well without any mark of copying work from the internet or from any other student.
One such task for students is to perform the bsbpmg534 assignment. That is one such assignment writing style that allows a student to study thoroughly about the topic and enables their research skills to perform better in the exams. It is a lengthy and time-consuming process to complete BSBPMGC534 on time, as it consists of several questions related to the topic in-depth and activities related to the same that test the knowledge and patience of the student. But here comes the role of the Zomak assignment writing service.
Zomak Assignment offers help to the students in the best possible way. Here at Zomak, our writers write homework and assignments on your behalf to help you score better in the best possible way. We have writers from different fields like psychology, law, finance, medical, mechanical, auditing, construction, cookery, nursing, etc. We have found the best writers to help the students with the work that they are unable to do on their own in the best possible way.
Bsbpmg534 assignment writing is a time-consuming assignment that not only takes time but also thorough knowledge about the diploma. But we've got you all covered. There are some essential things to consider before writing an assignment and some things to avoid while doing the same to get better outcomes and better credibility.
Here are some of the guidelines that allow a writer to write the best assignment in a style that serves credibility and gives better marks.
Follow the guidelines. A university assignment always comes with a brief and guidelines for writing it. The brief covers what the assessor or teacher is asking or expecting from a student to write, and it lays out certain criteria for writing the BSBPMG534 assignment and gives a certain format to follow as an assignment writing style.
The diploma assignment includes questions and activities that cover whatever the teacher has taught to the students in the class or during the lectures at the university. The assignments are open-book and can be solved by easily accessing the given PPTs or notes from the lecture. Following the guidelines ascertains the writer to serve a credible assignment that involves writing style, formatting, citation and referencing style, etc.
Avoid plagiarism: The assignments and the homework of the university must adhere to the conventions to maintain quality standards and avoid plagiarism. Plagiarism means copying someone else’s work without giving him credit for it. The work should be unique and of high quality. The AI tools do nothing but thoroughly search the web page and lay down the work that is already present somewhere in the world. Singing another person's ideas or thoughts without giving credit is a serious crime at the university. It's a kind of deception. Here at Zomak, we provide the assignments with 100% plagiarism-free work. We ensure that the work is completed by providing appropriate and prescribed references and citations. The work is guaranteed to be submitted with a true Turnitin report to avoid confusion and maintain credibility.
Research thoroughly. A diploma assignment is all about research and gathering knowledge in order to answer the questions. It requires thorough and in-depth knowledge of the topic, as the BSBPMGC534 assignment covers all the topics related to the given topic thoroughly. At Zomak, we have writers from diploma programs and from different fields who have deep knowledge of what is expected to be written in the assignment.
Add references and citations. The diploma work is the open book assignment from what has been taught in the class, and students take help from articles, write-ups, blogs, and other things online. It necessitates the use of someone else's previously published work, and in order to do so, students are always required to provide due acknowledgment to the original author by referencing and providing citations. They give the work credence.
Proofread the work. Proofreading is the final step in the assignment writing process since it helps to ensure that the final draft is flawless and of the highest caliber. It entails finding and correcting formatting, spelling, and grammatical errors. It improves clarity and coherence by aiding with the detection and repair of unclear words, awkward language, and other issues that may impair the text's overall coherence. As a result, you need to be familiar with the finest methods for final editing and proofreading. It also helps in locating and resolving factual, numerical, and other informational issues that can compromise the accuracy of the assignment.
Any student may increase the quality of their bsbpmg534 manage project time assignments by adhering to these crucial guidelines, and the writers at Zomak Best Assignment Writing Services do their best for the students who depend on them. Numerous students have benefited from Zomak's assistance with their assignments and homework throughout the years. We favour providing high-quality work over large amounts of it. Our authors are highly educated and subject-matter experts in several disciplines.
