Hear me out- Ghosts have wings. They have wings, which are affected by their cores, and can make them disappear from sight if they want or need to. You got that? Good. 

Ecto-contaminated people? Don’t have wings. Liminals and Halfas, who have developed cores? Do have wings, and they can’t hide said wings, because unlike ghosts? Their bodies are physical living flesh. 

Now Gotham? Ecto-contaminated, there’s no doubt about it. The amount of portals that have been opened there and death pits and death cults… yeah it’d be surprising if it wasn’t. But again, no one really notices, because at most? Most just get a bit of eyeshine. 

The Bats however? Oh man are they freaking out when they wake up with aches in their back and feathers starting to poke through their skin. Curse? Nope! Welcome to Liminality, enjoy the second puberty of wings, emotion-sharing, fangs, claws, and whatever else you might develop- also enjoy the whole eating fear thing. (Wait, the what-)

Im the kind of "special" that has too many notebooks specifically for analysis of characters, their choices, alternative storylines if they'd chosen differently, an overall assessment of why they do literally anything they do, what their actions and words mean for them as a character and for those around them. Y'know, normal shit. I cannot express how badly I want to talk about everything I analyze from Batman to Lala Loopsy and fucking Super Why (I am dead serious brother) but like at the same time that's my fucking mind maze. That's the shit that stirs itself up in here and that's mine?? Like okay, I really really want to talk so much about Mira Jung-Floar-Ruiz but I am detrimentally possessive of it all so I never talk about it. I'm losing my mind and it's my fault:)

Imagining a Naruto AU where the infinite tsukuyomi succeeds but the infinite dream theyre placed in is just the Golden Girls with Madara as Sophia and Obito as Dorothy. Any time a problematic man comes around, it’s just Black Zetsu in varying getups. I think Tobi (White Zetsu) would be Rose. Rin could play Blanche, and Stan could be Kakashi.

I imagine in Obito’s perfect world, no matter how much he may deny it, Kakashi is definitely in it. And I think his subconscious would just give Kakashi the role of shitty ex that he’s somehow still fond of. Meanwhile, Blanche has a lot of confidence and self worth (despite her episodic struggles with it) and I could see Obito manifesting her as this confident and sassy woman who always gets what she wants.(it’s the least she deserves)

I imagine Madara as Sophia bc of how much Obito idolized him, plus the time in the cave. I also like to think Shady Pines in this AU is literally just Death and Obito is rationalizing it.

This AU has a lot of holes bc it is 2AM and I am TIRED. I also know this is not exactly a service to the absolute beauty that is the Golden Girls, but I like to mash tv shows together and pretend they work. Please don’t take this seriously 🙏

it’s still so funny that while i knew taking back sunday and liked the tunes i heard, i knew nothing about them and just shuffled through their songs on a playlist sometimes… until i saw them at riot fest in 2022. the band was phenomenal, it was a religious experience.

but i saw john nolan and was bewitched. my entire life derailed. i lost my fucking mind because of a guy i could barely see from the middle of this massive crowd.

and i was right.

Wip wednesday s2 epilogue fic wip ---- Lincoln’s hand is heavy on Normal’s shoulder as he gives him a reassuring pat and grins. Soft freckles cover his face, decorating his nose and dimples, only interrupted by his small, trimmed beard. His voice is light and affectionate as he says,“I have to help pack up for the night. But, it was really good to see you guys.” And not even two minutes later, the star of the dance floor, Scary, chimes in too. “Yeah, we should really meet up again soon–” She shares a look with her husband, halfway into a suppressed laugh as she keeps talking. The disco ball’s rays shimmer on their matching rings and toothy smiles. Normal hopes the dim light is hiding his grimace.

He’d missed the wedding, but he kept the invite clean and tucked away in an old box at the back of his closet. The reunion invite almost went there too until his therapist….and mostly Hero convinced him. ‘It was only fair,' she’d said, nudging him with her elbow and then helping him carry in an old dresser into his apartment. ‘Since you convinced me to go to mine!’ Normal remembers giving his sister a half hearted laugh, and ignoring the lingering, concerned  gaze she shot him between her teasing and nudging. Shaking off the memory, the man zones back into his old friend’s chatter. “--The Sonics is still around! Maybe they kept the wanted poster up there too…” He watches a few loose strands of dyed hair stick out and curl near her face. Instead of tucking them gently back behind her ears, the former student fiddles with the lint in his pants pocket and musters a response. “Yeah, sounds nice.” Then, he waits for Taylor to chime in too, loud and confident, but instead, he hears the music transition and a few chairs being pushed in the distance. The brown-haired man looks over to see Taylor fiddling with a black beaded bracelet. He is looking down, hair blocking his expression, until Link gives him a pat on the shoulder too. And as the shorter man looks up–face shifting from blank to a smug smirk as he accepts the invite–Normal thinks he looks more like Hermie than he ever has before.  --- The fic prompt I have for this is 'After the reunion, Taylor and Normal have a little moment to talk in the parking lot' so that's where the wip would lead if continued

Oh gods

So we're a pretty small system, which has been fine most of the time but sometimes alter 1 has been fronting for three days, 2 has horrible anxiety, 3 is too introverted, and 4 refuses to do the task, and we're just like WE NEED MORE STAFF. We haven't been splitting for a good while now, and many alters have faded away (because us four hog the front... but also many are only interested in doing their roles), so our headcount has dwindled to under 10 overall. Like three of which we haven't seen in months...

So we've been thinking about how to remedy this, how to get another alter that can handle daily life as opposed to just their EP brain assigned task. And because finding resources is hard (and we don't want to use anything for tulpamancy) we figured working from a character may be easier, so we've been contemplating what characters would be good.

This character would have to be one we are emotionally attached to, know well, and would be helpful in this situation. Many characters have been proposed but most aren't quite right. One of which, thought of by me just now, is Spirit. The horse. From Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. Because I am listening to the soundtrack and thought "wow the attitude and determination of this is inspiring, I should try to be more like that" and had a flash like a prophetic vision of a horse in my brain.

i just film bro’d too close to the sun. my aunt brought her boyfriend to dinner and the barbie movie was mentioned and i went off about barbie. mentioned quentin tarantino doing the barbenheimer trend in Los Angeles California. he looked at me as if i had suddenly grown two heads. as if the words out of my mouth had translated into utter gibberish. I felt something within me shrivel into a large black mass, a simultaneous withering into acute nothingness. My nails dug into the meat of my flesh, a hand which thenceforth spurred whispers of regret and incredible mortification to every face it waved to. My mouth, now silent in its speech, chooses to clamp together. No word shall be spoken for the next thirty seconds. I notice the wrinkles of my beach shorts and the bug bites.
