Hear me out- Ghosts have wings. They have wings, which are affected by their cores, and can make them disappear from sight if they want or need to. You got that? Good. 

Ecto-contaminated people? Don’t have wings. Liminals and Halfas, who have developed cores? Do have wings, and they can’t hide said wings, because unlike ghosts? Their bodies are physical living flesh. 

Now Gotham? Ecto-contaminated, there’s no doubt about it. The amount of portals that have been opened there and death pits and death cults… yeah it’d be surprising if it wasn’t. But again, no one really notices, because at most? Most just get a bit of eyeshine. 

The Bats however? Oh man are they freaking out when they wake up with aches in their back and feathers starting to poke through their skin. Curse? Nope! Welcome to Liminality, enjoy the second puberty of wings, emotion-sharing, fangs, claws, and whatever else you might develop- also enjoy the whole eating fear thing. (Wait, the what-)

Wip wednesday s2 epilogue fic wip ---- Lincoln’s hand is heavy on Normal’s shoulder as he gives him a reassuring pat and grins. Soft freckles cover his face, decorating his nose and dimples, only interrupted by his small, trimmed beard. His voice is light and affectionate as he says,“I have to help pack up for the night. But, it was really good to see you guys.” And not even two minutes later, the star of the dance floor, Scary, chimes in too. “Yeah, we should really meet up again soon–” She shares a look with her husband, halfway into a suppressed laugh as she keeps talking. The disco ball’s rays shimmer on their matching rings and toothy smiles. Normal hopes the dim light is hiding his grimace.

He’d missed the wedding, but he kept the invite clean and tucked away in an old box at the back of his closet. The reunion invite almost went there too until his therapist….and mostly Hero convinced him. ‘It was only fair,' she’d said, nudging him with her elbow and then helping him carry in an old dresser into his apartment. ‘Since you convinced me to go to mine!’ Normal remembers giving his sister a half hearted laugh, and ignoring the lingering, concerned  gaze she shot him between her teasing and nudging. Shaking off the memory, the man zones back into his old friend’s chatter. “--The Sonics is still around! Maybe they kept the wanted poster up there too…” He watches a few loose strands of dyed hair stick out and curl near her face. Instead of tucking them gently back behind her ears, the former student fiddles with the lint in his pants pocket and musters a response. “Yeah, sounds nice.” Then, he waits for Taylor to chime in too, loud and confident, but instead, he hears the music transition and a few chairs being pushed in the distance. The brown-haired man looks over to see Taylor fiddling with a black beaded bracelet. He is looking down, hair blocking his expression, until Link gives him a pat on the shoulder too. And as the shorter man looks up–face shifting from blank to a smug smirk as he accepts the invite–Normal thinks he looks more like Hermie than he ever has before.  --- The fic prompt I have for this is 'After the reunion, Taylor and Normal have a little moment to talk in the parking lot' so that's where the wip would lead if continued

Okay so here’s that crested gecko illustration I promised (with bonus fun Sun and Moon colour variations below)

So, fun fact about crested geckos - they get “fired up” in response to a variety of things in their environment. Jury’s still out on why they do it exactly but being fired up basically means is that they can change colour. It’s not camouflage, it’s just a quirky fun little thing they do!

And, well, we thought it’d be fun if the same rules applied to our little trinket Sun and Moon:

Essentially their colours and patterns can change at different times of day and in response to other things around them, their moods, and other such. It’s not exact, just a fun little quirk they have to help with time telling and staying on top of emotions. They may appear patternless and comparatively dull when they’re under a lot of stress or feeling lost, or alternatively, their patterns might glow extra bright when they’re happy to see you! 💕

waaaa i just wanted to say i rlly admire how dedicated you are to your faith… it is truly beautiful and inspiring… even though i am not muslim myself….. you have inspired me to be more religious…. may allah be with you in everything you do :))))

I know not being religious is trendy these days but honestly you know that emptiness everyone talks about that nothing can fill? Islam fills that and keeps me afloat during difficult times. Islam benefits me so much especially in terms of my mental health so I am so so grateful and am trying my best to be dedicated, inshaAllah 🥹

Anyway, if any of you want to play an existing solo journaling game where you use a dice pool to create a constellation, designed specifically with dice hoarders in mind so that you have a new way to use all of your differently sized dice in one game, consider checking out The Flicker and the Fade.

In The Flicker and the Fade, you create the constellation and the mythology surrounding it, then play through the evolution of its story as the stars gradually blink out, changing both the shape of the constellation and the tales people associate with it.

This game will be three years old tomorrow, and I'd love to see more people play it and share their experiences. I especially enjoy seeing when people use the game as a worldbuilding tool for fiction writing and TTRPG campaign worlds!
