I'm not sure if this is too complicated or not but !! maybe someone in a small 'box' / small room / whatever with a lock or the word "frontstuck" ??? (We always feel as if we're stuck in a very small room whenever we're frontstuck- really hoping this one will make sense!!)

Love how two of the only three times I switched out was for one of my headmates to force us to go to bed. Like I had things I needed to do. You couldn't have waited fifteen minutes for me to plug in our tablet and eat something? (It was bill who did it last time he said, but it wasn't him the first time apparently)

Also I have no idea what happened the first ever time I switched out besides one of my headmates ate the last of our mini donuts.

Hiya, Arcana! We want to share with y’all& a couple guides which might be helpful!

The first is this guide by neonspectrumdreams on voluntary switching. We found it to be really comprehensive with lots of great tips and advice which has helped out own system in the past! :3

Um, we think that switching can be different for lots of different systems, and can even vary between headmates in the same system! So we don’t know what y’all’s& experience with switching has looked like in the past, but it might be worth it to like, think a bit about how y’all& used to switch, and see if anything is different now?

Sometimes parts in our sys can get frontstuck too! For us, thinking about it and worrying a lot usually makes it more and more tough for us to eventually switch. In our experience, we’ll usually switch out eventually if we just try to live our lives without focusing too much on the fact that one of us is frontstuck (with the exception of our host, who is almost always fronting to some degree)!

Any tips on trying to improve communication between alters ? Or just trying to have any communication at all ? Especially as a p-did system host (which is what I believe is the case for me)

I can't access headspace (if we even have any), can't communicate with any of them at all, I just feel them when they're there with me and the changes they cause in my behaviour, but whenever I try to make any effort to acknowledge they're there they just retreat :(

I don't even know their names (besides an introject with a very strong presence), please send any tips if you have any !

It felt dehumanizing at first, and there's still a twinge of that, but especially after the Long Quiet joined us, it feels more ironic and self confident. like yeah the voices in my head. Uhhh ok what’s that role in the system where you kind of comfort people and such? Because we think that’s Blur.

Last night Bitty was talking to herself and started recalling all the major things our dad did to him. It made him kind of irritated.

We talked to our mom about it and she asked that we write the stuff down. Which is great, honestly, because we trust our mom like 100% more than our dad.

So then we went to bed and Bitty just…started crying. She’s so tired. Not tired enough to like fall into a downward spiral, but she’s tired.

so Blur just starts comforting him in headspace. We remember him trying to coax Bitty out of front, and we think it almost worked. She felt herself kind of “relaxing her grip” on the body’s “steering wheel”.

so there’s that. We don’t know what role that is lol

i've been fronting alone for exactly twenty eight days and i cannot do this shit anymore. our communication as a system is the fucking worst but there's usually a "sensation" of someone else being in my head, or at least i can feel their presence when i'm looking at something that interests them, but it's been radio silent for almost a month now and i'm going CRAZY!!!!!!!! i feel like a fucking singlet !!!!!! why would we have protectors if they're leaving me alone to deal with stuff i can't take !!!!!!!!!!!! i am so fucking afraid of splitting because that is triggering as shit for me !!

Being front stuck is the absolute fucking worst. It’s stressful, lonely, and exhausting.

I really hope things start getting better for you! You’re definitely not a singlet, you’re still valid. This is just an extra rough patch. Maybe try positive triggers and see if anyone starts communicating? Journaling and SP helps us a lot!
