y'all know when someone keeps talking about their "quirky" childhood and adult habits but it's just like. textbook examples of a complex dissociative disorder. but you can't just be like "maybe you're a system" bc that could freak them out way too much all at once.
or you'll offhandedly mention a Uniquely System Specific Experience and they go "wait i relate to that lol. it must be from my depression/anxiety/etc" like. uhmmmm. not quite, not quite. time loss and seeing people in your head that grow and change independently of you is not uh,,,,,,,,,i don't think that's anxiety uh,,,,,,,,

jsyk this blog isnt really "traumagenic safe" if youre excluding everyone who isnt 100% traumagenic which does include those who arent fully traumagenic.. mixed origin systems exist
sincerely, a tired traumaendo system
Oh, okay, I understand. I'm really confused on how a traumaendo even exists. Taking the "invite both sheep and wolves, you'll only get wolves" thing into consideration, if I invite a sheep and wolf hybrid then what happens??? So I'm just going to keep my sheep. Should I change it to "safe for 100% traumagenic systems only" or something similar? Sorry you're tired. But just so you know, it's really uncool to break a DNI as you do in fact count

hey you! yes, the p-did system who's reading this!
your system is beautiful! you may struggle with imposter syndrome, over not feeling "real", god knows i do, but your experiences are valuable to the plural community!
just by existing as a p-did system, you're doing a great service to other plurals.
i love you, p-did systems 💚💚💚

Hello, everyone.
Are your days going well? How are you feeling today compared to yesterday, do you know? Well, nonetheless, here's my message to you all, as CDD systems.
— Feeling unreal or as if the world around you is unreal as part of your CDD symptoms is normal.
— Parts not having names and going by their role or characteristics is okay. Eg: The little one. Some parts simply may not want a name; that's okay.
— Sharing your headcounts online is not a necessity, so don't feel bad for not wanting to share this information.
— Be mindful to not share your triggers online; whether negative or positive. Don't feel forced to share triggers in the spaces you may be involved in.
— Not knowing every little detail about yourself is fine and even normal. Don't feel forced to find those details immediately; take your time and work at your own pace.
— Asking for management advice is okay. Asking for help is okay. Struggling is understandable and normal when you have a disorder. You are not a burden for seeking help and/or advice.
— If you feel anger, sadness, and such to high degrees, I'm here to tell you that that's okay. Having trouble understanding 'the why' is okay, and you're not a 'monster' if you get to that breaking point and lash out.
— Try not to compare your system to the systems online. Do you have lots of introjects? That's okay. Do you have only a few? That's okay. None? That's just as okay. Are there only 2 alters in your system? That's okay. 10? 40? That's okay. Are you polyfragmented? That's okay; it doesn't mean your experiences aren't real. OSDD1? P-DID? The same goes there. Your experiences aren't fake just because you may experience less amnesia. Your experiences aren't fake if you experience more amnesia. Your experiences aren't fake if you have amnesia of having amnesia. Your experiences aren't fake if you have more emotional amnesia.
I hope this makes someone's day better!! I added more tags to this post to try to reach more CDD systems.

Perennial Host
A perennial host is an alter whose role as host is permanent. A perennial host may have other roles, but they will always be the host until fusion or dormancy.
A perennial host will rarely, if ever, be able to leave front, but they will always at the very least be co-conscious. They will likely have trouble accessing headspace, if they're able to at all.
This role is intended and made for P-DID systems to describe a role the dominant-alter may have, but may be used for any kind of system

Here’s some positivity for those with P-DID!
Unfortunately, P-DID (or partial dissociative identity disorder) is not often talked about or discussed online - many folks with P-DID may feel left out of spaces focused on systems and complex dissociative disorders. However, P-DID systems absolutely belong in the plural community (as long as they wish to be here), and provide a welcome and cherished perspective to the vast experiences of plural folks and those with dissociative disorders! To all those out there with P-DID, this one’s for you!
☀️ Shoutout to systems with P-DID with distinct alters or parts who don’t experience switches!
🧡 Shoutout to those with P-DID who don’t identify as plural or a system!
🌹 Shoutout to P-DID systems who have difficulties interacting and making connections with their alters!
✨ Shoutout to those with P-DID who struggle with dissociation and often feel disconnected from themselves, their bodies, and their surroundings!
🔸 Shoutout to P-DID systems with alters who mostly control the body through passive influence or being co-conscious!
❣️ Shoutout to those with P-DID who have to deal with trauma responses including, but not limited to, flashbacks, anxiety, nightmares, high stress levels, intrusive thoughts, or anything else!
💫 Shoutout to P-DID systems who identify as specutien or having a frontstuck host!
🏵 Shoutout to those who are in treatment for their P-DID, and to those who are functioning well on their own and don’t want to seek treatment!
🎈 Shoutout to those who are questioning whether or not they have P-DID or are taking the steps to get a diagnosis or self diagnose!
🌙 Shoutout to systems who wish P-DID was talked about more and better understood in system or CDD spaces!
✴️ Shoutout to P-DID systems who are grateful for their alters and their plurality, and to those who wish they could be singlets!
We hope that everyone with P-DID who sees this can have an amazing day today. Know that you belong in spaces for systems, trauma survivors, and those with complex dissociative disorders just the way you are. We appreciate and value your perspective, and are so honored to be able to share these spaces with you!
Please do your best to treat yourself and your system (if you identify as such) with kindness and compassion today. You are so loved, and we hope that your future is filled with peace, comfort, healing, and self-acceptance. Thank you so much for reading, and take care!

CDD Writing Prompt: Loosing Time
I welcome everyone with a CDD to talk about their experiences, or write an excerpt on how they would like to see this aspect written in media :-)
If you don’t feel comfortable for any reason tying this to an account, feel free to send your writing through an ask on anon, just be sure to mention which prompt you’re referring to!
———
In CDD media, there are tropes I come across for loosing time. I’m curious to know if you relate to any of these or if they’re different than what you’d describe. Here are some common tropes I stumble upon about loosing time:
The scene blinks to another scene, the character seems completely confused as to how they got there, as though they’ve completely blacked out and have no reference as to how or why they got there.
The character has people they don’t know they talk to, or even an entire life they’re unaware of, like a job they didn’t know they had
Switching is very clear-cut, there’s no blendiness or co-consciousness beyond maybe a few words shared between parts. Its as if the part switching in is entirely robbed of all senses of the outside world
There’s often no retrospection or recollection of what happened in the gap of time that’s been lost
Do you relate to any of these tropes? If you could explain how it feels to loose time, how would you? Or, how would you write a scene about a character that’s loosing time like you are?

"So, which alter is the real you?"
Written whilst the system was blurry.
This is a personal post with educational explanations.
This question insinuates a few misconceptions about Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).
Firstly, the word 'real' in this context implies that the asker believes only one dissociative identity truly exists, while the others are either fabricated or hallucinations. This misconception is not only dismissive but also reinforces the harmful stereotype that DID is not a legitimate condition. It perpetuates the false belief that individuals with DID are simply experiencing psychosis or should be misdiagnosed with a different disorder, such as schizophrenia. This misunderstanding can lead to a lack of proper support for those living with DID, who have distinct and valid identities formed as a response to trauma that initially began in early childhood. All dissociative identities within an individual are real. In DID, multiple dissociative identities have the ability to take executive control, allowing them to interact with the environment. However, the ability to take control should not be the sole measure of their reality. Disorders like OSDD and PDID also involve alters who may not be able to or reluctantly take executive control, yet they are equally real. The existence and significance of a part is determined by their role and presence within the system.
Secondly, the question mistakenly separates the different parts of a person with DID as if they are distinct, individual entities. In reality, each part is a fragment of the whole individual, meaning that every part is the “real you.” This ties into the outdated concept reflected in the name "Multiple Personality Disorder," which suggests that a person with DID has multiple, fully-formed personalities. In truth, DID involves dissociative identities, each representing a fragment of one complete personality. When integrated, these fragments come together to form the singular personality of the entire individual.
This misunderstanding also leads to the belief that the main host is not an alter, and that only the other identities are. The host is an alter, there is no single "core" or "original personality". Many try to explain this through the analogy of a shattered bowl, asking, "If a bowl breaks, which piece is the original?" However, this metaphor doesn’t accurately represent DID because it implies there was once a whole, unbroken personality that fragmented. In DID, there was never a singular, intact "bowl" to begin with. The system’s personality remained divided due to amnesia and trauma and was never able to form one personality.
A more fitting metaphor is that of a stained glass window. Each piece of stained glass is meticulously crafted to fit with the others, just as each alter in DID is formed by the brain to complement the others. If all parts were to integrate, they would form a complete personality just as a stained glass window is whole when its pieces are assembled. This analogy avoids the implication that something is "missing" or "broken" and instead highlights how each part is essential to the survival and functionality of the individual as a whole. Even when not assembled a stained glass window is not considered broken and people with DID are not broken.
This is a personal post with educational explanations.

I love you systems who have introjects of other systems whether from how you view them as a whole, their alters, etc. You are based and your experience and existence isn't weird. Keep chugging that based alter juice, you deserve it

I fucking miss my headmates. I don't even know where they are. My therapist thinks I'm "cured" but I KNOW, I can feel that there's still some of them inside but I can't hear them. I hate it, I spent the majority of my life with headmates, I love them to bits, and yes we weren't always functionnal and yes it was hell most of the time but I'd give anything for us to have the communication we used to, not being with them makes me want to DIE.

p-did ask game! :3
if a p-did system reblogs this, they'll for sure get an ask! (from yours truly 💚)
systems who are questioning what disorder they have are more than welcome to participate :3
1) is the host able to switch out of front at all? or only partially? or not at all?
2) does the host have any other role?
3) has there ever been a host change, ever?
4) other than the host, do you have other frequent (co-)fronters? or headmates who frequently go into co-con with the host?
5) why do headmates typically co-front/co-con?
6) how long do non-host headmates co-front/co-con on average?
7) does your system go through stages of inactivity? (no headmate interaction at all, just the host)
8) what is the most common role in your system?
9) how distinct are you all from eachother?
10) do you have some headmates who are more or less distinct from the others?
11) do you have any funny stories of your headmates passively influencing your decisions?
12) do you have a headspace/innerworld?
13) is the host able to access the headspace/innerworld?
14) do you use simply plural, pluralkit, or anything else?
15) how emotionally close is everyone in the system? do you feel like family, or are you like strangers to eachother?
16) how easy or hard is internal communication for your system?
17) do you ever want to come out as a system to anyone in your life? (who don't already know)
18) how do you feel about being the host? is there anything you want people (in system and out) to know about it?
19) how do you feel about being non-host headmates in the system? is there anything you want people to know about it?
20) a fun one! if you have a system name, how did you all decide on it?
