Impulse wakes up to the redstone of his door opening. He checks his communicator, blinking from the harsh light to see it’s the middle of the night. Who is coming over at this hour?

As if on cue, his bedroom door opens to reveal Skizz. The angel looks rather disheveled- his wings messy and pajamas wrinkled. He sits up and rubs his eyes, “Skizz?”

He looks to the floor guiltily, “Sorry, I- I can go I just…”

Despite being tired he smiles the best he can. Impulse waves him over sluggishly. This isn’t a common occurrence, but it’s certainly not a new one.

They’ve done this time and time again in their hardcore worlds. Sometimes one of them needs the comfort of having the other close, and that comfort will always be provided. After many years of that time having to be over a call, on Hermitcraft they share a bed more often than not. He doesn’t mind though- waking up wrapped in a mess of limbs and feathers is something he’s grown to love.

Which is why it’s concerning that Skizz has sat on the edge of the bed instead of lying down. He looks nervous and his wings are twitching - Impulse has to stop himself from reaching out to fix them.

Impulse is used to being able to read Skizz like a book, but he can’t quite tell what’s going on here. It’s worrying.

“What’s wrong?” He asks, sitting up to face the other.

Skizz takes a deep breath, “I need to tell you something. But you might hate me after,”

He blinks. “I’d never hate you, what’s got your feathers in a bunch?”

The angel looks as if he’s on the verge of tears. “I like you. Not like, in a friend way, like actually like. But you’re my buddy and I don’t want to lose you, and-“

It’s as if the world has slowed down. He likes Impulse?

The realization hits him like a truck, his face immediately heating up like it’s on fire.

The rambling comes back into focus as he snaps out of it. “…If you want me to leave, which I’m sure you do, I can head out, I-“

Impulse cuts Skizz off with a chaste kiss on the lips. He isn’t thinking, all he knows is Skizzleman likes him and he needs Skizz as close to him as possible right now or he will explode.

His senses come back to him a moment after. “Shoot, I’m sorry, I should’ve asked, you were just rambling and..” The words in his mouth die off when Skizz breaks into a smile and is looking at him as if he just raised the sun.

All the anxiety shuts up at once as he’s pulled into another kiss.

okay i’m still merely a little more than halfway though the series so maybe i’m saying silly things, but, in my professional opinion (not) house and cuddy are better off flirting than actually involved with each other.

Let me explain…

I haven’t even reached the part where they get together or whatever, they’ve just kissed, but they are in a sticky situation and on top of that wilson, the self-denying little shit, is so desperately trying to set them up, and the whole thing just feels…off. Like, cuddy is right, house and her getting together is not something anyone wants to see.

To be honest, i love the flirtatious, atmospheric and tense banter between the two, but that’s. it. They both care for each other, despite everything, okay i know , but god house (from where i’m standing) has never, not ever, looked or talked to/about cuddy the way he does with wilson. I can’t stop thinking about those early eps in season five where house and wilson were not speaking to each other and house was obsessed with getting in touch with him, and during a procedure he said to the team something along the lines of “what did wilson do for me? Sure, he made me laugh on a rainy day…made me see the colours i never knew”. Seriously? I want to punch them.

The way he laughs with wilson, the way to talks about him to his face, to other people, to himself, the intimate stares and little smiles and agape mouths whenever wilson does something unexpected. The sparks, the liveliness dancing in his eyes whenever he lays them upon his best friend for whatever reason. The way he’s always making “jokes” about them being together, not only privately but in-front of everyone, the way his voice catches, gentles, and the fact that you can see and feel the desperation and the edge in his voice (or am i just being delusional? nah i’m not).

Sure, i know he always makes a point about cuddy’s ass or bosom or whatever but…it’s not the fucking same. I don’t know how to explain it, but the way hugh laurie delivers his goddamn lines make a point for differentiation between the two flirting points and persons. I- i feel like i’m making zero sense.

Miles actually cannot stand it and forcibly drags Ganke away from his 5 laptops/monitors (where he has a RIDICULOUSLY high screen time) and makes him go outside. Brings him to a park. Watched him touch grass. Sprays him with a hose maybe when he tries to look at his phone. Ganke won't tell him, but he likes the attention.

was thinking about my merthur greek stories post and ran into a few tiktoks about orpheus and eurydice and got to thinking even more. just imagining them going thru a trial for some reason with the same premise and arthur is leading but cant help but look back to make sure merlin is still there and they think that means they fail but it just proved to whoever was running the trial that arthur was a loving and caring man so they passed it,, yay happy ending.

but then someone said “if orpheus had loved eurydice less, he could’ve saved her” and i got to thinking about canon merthur and started crying. if merlin had loved arthur a little less, just enough to where he didnt let the distant threat of doom hang over his head, where he didnt push morgana and mordred away, he could’ve saved arthur. if he had loved him just a little less
