the way that one line from the new epilogue in an astarion romance is going to HAUNT me
just. what a profoundly intense thing to confess to someone.
like, just these six months of newfound happiness with you exerts a force on his heart equal and in direct opposition to two centuries of endless torment, the gnawing hunger and exploitation. this flashbulb-bright fraction of his long life holds the same gravity to him as years upon years of darkness and suffering.
in all likelihood, he hasn’t even known his lover for as long as his worst memory lasted, that year sealed away to go mad from starvation and sensory deprivation, yet he still tells them this brief time has been so fundamentally and powerfully important that the weight of even that unimaginable hell is vanishingly small compared to this present he has now and the future ahead of them both.
how am i supposed to act normal about this.

RE You know how I said this:
Thank you for Point #9, that #misuse scared the
daylights out of me. I have no interest in making
people worse off at all, at least not unless that is
how it'll leads to total redemption later on.
But then you said this:
Perhaps we do not need to pray that GOD will
increase our faith; rather we may need to ask
HIM to help us use the faith we have.
Well that got me thinking about..
all my unbelief issues, which was maddening in
the midst of intense awesome growing closeness
to GOD, suddenly the very next morning it's like
HIS Presence would be gone!
My abandonment issues would rise up again.
You know the day before we started kindergarten,
GOD allowed us kids to watch Oliver Twist!?
We were sure mom was leaving us—so we were
inconsolable when she walked away . . .she had
no idea what we were balling about that day, all
these other well adjusted toddlers & she has the
cry-babies. Nada because parents mindlessly put
kids in front of the TV to be nannied.
This is so messed up. lol
Maybe GOD is saying HE can remove all our
hurts/doubt? [Mark 9:24] “Help my unbelief..”
Revelation 21:4 | HE will wipe away every tear from
their eyes; & death shall be no more, nor mourning,
nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any more — for the
former things have passed away.
unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground & dies,
it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.
[John 12:24]
Philippians 3:8-10 | ¹⁰ I want to know CHRIST and
the power of HIS resurrection and 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽
𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝘀𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, being conformed to HIM in HIS
#death!
In GOD’s Presence there only can be truth, so
that is why HE leaves us in this lingo state as
it can't be any other way, HIS Presence would
obliterate all evil/sin/#lies; there'd be no more
struggle, HIS being fills the Earth, infusing us
& everything with HIS goodness.
Habakkuk 2:14 | Woe to the Chaldeans
¹⁴ For the Earth will be filled with the knowledge of
the glory of the YHWH as the waters cover the sea.
¹⁵ Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbors,
pouring it from the wineskin until they are drunk,
in order to gaze at their nakedness!
Thought I’d throw in v.15 to tie in with purity :D
Also James said, it’s like a muscle being built up..
James 1:1-27 | A Greeting from James [Jude 1:1-2]
¹ James, a servant of GOD and of the LORD JESUS
CHRIST, to the 12 tribes of the Dispersion: Greetings
² Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you meet w/
trials of many kinds, ³ because you know the #testing
of your faith develops perseverance.
The first trait my dad said I had in droves..

The Vampire Aesthetic
Ok so Danny knows two billionaires personally and they really couldn’t be more different. Yet they had one thing in common. A vampire aesthetic. Sam is fully into goth. Spiderwebs, bats, the color black. She enjoys fangs and fake blood and the darkness of her soul. Meanwhile, Vlad is Vlad. If his name wasn’t enough, the dark clothing, pale skin, and flying around with a cape and fangs with coffins in his mansion really sells it.
Danny doesn’t know many rich people so he thinks this might be some kind of trend. (If Paulina is rich, her family likes the chupacabra) So he just thinks that all rich people have some kind of vampire thing going on.
Cue Danny somehow ending in the Wayne household. Maybe he was brought over as a friend of one of the bats, maybe rescued from a field trip/vacation gone wrong, maybe some other situation. But he is there in civilian form with civilian Waynes and Danny just takes a good long look around the inside of the mansion.
“So where’s the vampire aesthetic?
Everyone freezes.
Danny just starts looking around, checking behind paintings and feeling the walls for secret levers. Used to secret passages with Vlad and possibly Sam. The Fentons definitely had them when they were temporarily rich.
“Come on, I know you guys are hiding it.”
Cue the entire batfamily thinking that this is another Tim and that he is fully aware that these people are the batfamily. Danny hangs around the mansion more and the bats just start dropping their disguises and not even bothering to hide stuff around Danny because they assume he already knows. (Possibly even trying to recruit him to be a new bat) Meanwhile, Danny, who does not know these people are batman and his birds, just does not pick up on any of it.
He grew up in a health violation with a giant ballon observatory lab above his head and a portal to the afterlife in his basement. He is a half dead teenager who has tea with the god of time and his godfather is the other parent to his clone child. He’s used to death lazers being scattered across his home and mysterious stains on clothing.
People are weird! He doesn’t judge!

The tragic idea that the Betrayers loved their siblings so much that it ended up being what drove them apart. They didn't want to settle for anything that could hurt their family, and mortals were doing so, either directly (a mortal usurping one of them) or indirectly (emotionally hurting them during the Schism by just. dying so much). To the Betrayers, it wasn't worth it. They wanted their beloved family to leave and go somewhere that wouldn’t hurt them.
To them, it's the primes who are the betrayers. The primes were motivated by more than just love for their immediate family - they loved their creation, too, and more than that, felt a responsibility for it. They would rather fight their own siblings than leave it.
We saw all the gods love and protect each other during the opening of Downfall. The Betrayers were not uniquely evil from the start. They wanted to save themselves and their family from hardship and suffering, even if it meant leaving their creation, their game, and in response their siblings locked them away. Not only do they not love mortals, they view mortals as this corruptive force that somehow turned their family against them. Do they think that, if they succeed in exterminating them, the Primes will be freed from their influence? Maybe - perhaps some of them are waiting to forgive and embrace their siblings, but far from all, I suspect. Asmodeus certainly expressed during Calamity that he didn’t so much want to be reunited with his siblings as he wanted to punish them. He was betrayed by the ones he loved most for the sake of a game! Maybe togetherness and forgiveness was once an obtainable goal, but not anymore. Even if the Betrayers succeeded in ending Exandria, the Primes would never forgive them, and they would never forgive the primes. Their family can never be whole again because of, as they see it, the toxic influence of mortals. So they hate mortals for this influence, but more than that, they hate their siblings for being so weak as to fall for it.

The God of Scripture: More Than an Impersonal Force
The God of Scripture is not some impersonal force, particle field, or energy mass. He is independent (Acts 17:25)He is eternal (Ps 102:12)He thinks (Is 58:8-9)He communicates (Heb 1:1-2)He acts in history (Heb 2:4)He loves (Jn 3:16)He is kind (Acts 14:17)— Dustin Benge (@DustinBenge) September 5, 2024
The God of Scripture stands in stark contrast to the abstract concepts of energy or force that…

Don't forget to not only recite prayers but also to be in God's presence everyday in our ordinary lives. We might be busy at work, but maybe once in a while when you get distracted or feel tired or frustrated you can stop for a second and call His name and say "I do it for You" or "I offer it up to You". And when good things happen just saying "thank you" works too. It's a way of sanctifying our jobs :)
