#Hawaiian-Style Dishes You Should Try

Note
Will you give us a little something else for the stepmom!reader fic? I'm really curious about how you'll go about it. Will it be anything like your stepdad!harry one? I hate/love stepdad!harry. I love reading it (super guilty pleasure) but in reality that man would be trash so I also hate him.
I'm really looking forward to the stepmom one though, as a 30 year old woman I feel like usually we see a lot of Harry being older and dominant but it would be fun to look at this in a different perspective with reader being a little older.
YES - i know what you mean about stepdad!harry. he's kind of trash but that's the whole point in that au. it's mostly about the smut. 😂
But for stepmom!reader it's not going to be like that at all. As a woman I cannot see her being toxic in the way I've written harry as stepdad.
This one will have some background about her marriage and the kind of arrangement she and harry's dad have.
While it's still a completely messed up situation, this one will be softer and there will be some pining a bit. I've got almost 20k words written for it already and I'm actually loving it. Harry meets yn when he's in college and an adult so there's nothing too odd about them being attracted to one another. She's about 7 years old than him. Harry will be a virgin but not for lack of confidence or charm. You'll see.
But I'll give you a little teaser below the cut (1.3k words). Enjoy!
She was in sweat shorts and a tank top and tennis shoes with no makeup. She had wanted to shower and get freshened up a little at least. Before Harry arrived. Though, she wasn’t entirely sure he actually would come on Friday as he said.
But then she laughed at herself worrying so much over how she looked to her stepson. A silly silly girl, she thought to herself. Who cares? Why should she care? She was doing all this for his birthday party anyway. And she was his stepmom.
Looking down at the placement of the dancefloor tiles being installed she allowed her mind to drift to that night at the club. His warm skin, his deep voice. The way he handled her like he knew what he was doing… She hated that she had been allowing those kinds of thoughts to trickle in about him. Hated, hated that two days ago when she had sex with Leo it was Harry she was thinking about.
She felt like a nasty and disgusting woman. A pervert.
In the early afternoon, the landscaper had gone and the garden looked like it was ready to be filled in with hundreds of people ready to party. She was proud of the way it turned out. It all looked great.
But she was hungry. She’d eat then shower. Hopefully before Harry arrived. If he arrived that evening.
The chef’s kitchen had a lovely granite island with unstained walnut and wide plank hardwood floors. The refrigerator was ridiculously large. Opening up the state-of-the-art appliance she peered inside trying to find something quick to eat. She planned on having cheese tortellini later on. Leo was out for the day and told her not to wait up. That he would be back late. Some conference or something. It wasn’t abnormal for him to be gone for hours or days. She enjoyed the quiet and loved to eat simple dishes when he wasn’t around. Things that she craved like macaroni and cheese, frozen fish sticks, or cheesy tortellini, and a bottle of wine.
She settled on yogurt and a double serving of granola as she sat at the island. She just needed an in-between lunch and dinner snack to tide her over.
Just before she scooped her last bite into her mouth she heard footsteps and then his voice, “Anyone home?”
She quickly scrambled off her stool and stood up just as he entered the kitchen. His dark curls were perfectly placed on his head and he wore a colorful Hawaiian-style shirt and black jeans with leather Chelsea boots.
“Hi! Yeah, was just eating a snack. Uh, make yourself at home, Harry!” Her tone was a bit too perky and she cringed at how silly she sounded.
Harry smiled gently and nodded as he dropped his gaze to her legs and back up, “Yes ma’am. Just gonna take this up to my room first.” He lifted his duffle bag, “Looks really good out there,” gesturing with his thumb over his shoulder, “Looking forward to it.”
“Oh, so glad you like it. It was some work to get everything just right. The guys setting up were so great, though. There are still a few more things to finish up tomorrow but I think for now we’re on track. But um…” she walked to the sink to rinse her bowl out as she looked over her shoulder at Harry, “I’m, uh… just headed to take a shower, though. Haven’t had the chance yet today. So…” she trailed off her sentence. None of what she was saying mattered to him at all. She was sure of that.
Harry puffed out a quick little laugh, “Okay. Yeah. Well, I’ll be in my room.”
Her shower was delightful but her nerves weren’t soothed. She was wound up tight and now that her stepson was here in her house, alone with her… she closed her eyes to compose herself. A ridiculous woman. A dirty and perverted woman. Who thinks of their stepson in this way? It’s absolutely disgusting. Immoral. Depraved. Evil. But it had all begun with that night and the way he danced with her. Innocent. Until it wasn’t.
She stayed in her room for a while. Not sure how she should go about acting casually in front of Harry. After that night at the bar, how could she? They had crossed a line. She had crossed a line. She took responsibility for this whole mess in her mind. She was the one at fault. Harry was only 20. Well, 21 now. Technically his birthday was today.
Fuck! She’d forgotten to wish him happy birthday!
Pulling her leggings up and slipping on a t-shirt she huffed as she paced the room. Well, now she had to go and tell him and also apologize for the state she was in when he arrived and how she’d forgotten and…
Calm down. He probably doesn’t even care, Y/n.
Knocking at his cracked open bedroom door she peeked in to see that Harry wasn’t in there. She looked down the hallway and for some strange reason she stepped into his room and her eyes landed on his laptop that was open.
Porn.
He was watching porn. Y/n let out a surprised laugh and shook her head. She was overstepping so many boundaries. She looked at the screen as she moved away, intending on leaving his bedroom and going to find him when her eyes landed on the title of the video he had up.
Stepmom and Stepson Share a Bed
Her pulse grew fast and her palms began to sweat. Of course, perhaps that meant nothing. Perhaps that was just something he was watching that he found hot and didn’t realize it was stepmom porn or something…
She backed herself out of the room quickly but when she felt his hands on her shoulders and his voice, that fucking voice that sounded like sex, “You okay? Nearly ran me over-“
But he stopped short. He looked at the bed where his laptop was open and realized what she’d seen. He’d been saving his favorite stepmom porn videos lately. This one was just up. He wasn’t actually watching it before he’d stepped out of the room. It had just been on the screen when he closed out the Word doc he was working on for an essay at school.
“Fuck.” He whispered and released her shoulders, “Y/n, I… look that was just-“
Y/n turned with wide eyes and held her hand up quickly, “It’s okay. I shouldn’t have come in here. I was looking for you to um… I was gonna wish you a happy birthday, and I… I’m the one that should be sorry. That…” she pointed toward his bed, “I shouldn’t have seen that.”
Harry was embarrassed. He felt like crawling under the bed and staying there til the day he died. Never to be seen or heard from again. He was so careless to leave that up like that.
He swallowed and ran his hands over his face and shook his head, “Oh my god. Fuck.”
“Hey, it’s okay,” Y/n placed her hand on his forearm and pulled one of his arms down, “Look at me.”
Harry opened his eyes and looked at her like she asked, “No worries okay? That was just nothing. It’s just porn. Everyone looks at porn. It’s normal. Okay?”
“Watching stepmom porn is normal?”
Y/n swallowed. She didn’t think he’d directly come out and say that, “Well… I mean… sure. If there’s a category on Pornhub for it that means someone likes it. You’re not the only one.” She tried to laugh but it died in her throat when Harry clenched his jaw and tilted his head back to look up at the ceiling.
“And besides,” her fingers tightened over his arm, “it’s not like that’s about me anyway. Come on… it’s just porn. So don’t-“
“Of course, it’s about you, Y/n. Why else would I be interested in that kind of thing?”

Food Journal 2/22
Breakfast : Bagel and egg
Lunch : Ono Hawaiian (mostly macaroni salad, one single piece of chicken I'd left myself, some cabbage)
Lunch 2 : Breakfast burrito and bag of snap peas
Lunch 3 : Broccoli chedder soup
Snack : Watermelon, watermelon smoothie
Snack : Rice and teriyaki sauce
I think these journals are making me hungrier. I really seriously think that your job should ask when you usually eat meals and be forced to give you meal breaks AT normal times. I know there will be a rush, but imagine if I ate dinner at 7 and you ate at 6, THAT would work out if there were enough workers to cover the rush. Working in a walkable city should be so casual that you could find someone who eats at 5 to work 2 hours, and not feel like their whole day is leading up to working, but instead so casual and easy.
Anyways, tomorrow's Friday which means no meat, but I also have to cook dinner, but I don't want to go shopping, but now I'm sitting on me bed I don't want to take any meat out, we probably already ate all the fish anyways. My coworker, who has no respect for "the schedule" which sucks ass and is always changing anyways and three times was not even sent to us, and we're basically on call for free all the time, wanted me to cover his shift but I don't feel like working 6 days a week. Working is what's stopping me from doing the dishes. My other coworker wants the overtime, he won't get it though, and (as though talking about a puppy's face) I can't say no to my boss. I said no to my coworker. I said maybe. I have bad time management anyways I would get the same done with or without having my day taken up. I'm tired of being judged by people. I keep on accidently being passive aggressive to my boss, I think "accidentally passive aggressive" just means careless. Last week it was from poor sleep hygene, this week I have no excuse, but last week was worse. It wasn't my boss exactly, but I know she'd point to it. My routine is changing soon, a routine I obliterated, it's becoming a routine again, some structure. I could have made a routine if I'd had time. I need to go to the DMV and the car repair. I will do it in 2 weeks. As I said on my other blog "this is my last week of goofing off and drawing all day" and Friday was going to actually be all day.
I have all these things like "most of a cabbage" "whole bag of spinach" "frozen spinach" "watermelon" all I've done with it is cube the watermelon. I have a trick which is just using a sharp knife and shaving it while it's in quaters, instead of cutting the triangle slices and trimming the rind off. If you do it lazy style some of the pieces are less tender. Watermelon used to have a lot of white and some black seeds but it's gotten to have more flesh in my lifetime. That's good but I'm suspisious of that stuff, maybe it's less fiber or something. Thinking about inflation makes me think how did we not do gangbusters selling xyz, it was probably only a dollar then. 3 fucking dollars. How can they say inflation is 3% when they also say food prices have doubled, what is it 3% per week?
Well, I try to keep this stuff off my main anymore. Well, you're not the only one going through it. Goodnight.
I'm just mad I've been working on comics for a month, but it's been 3 comics so I have no buffer of anything, it's stupid to start a comic concurrantly, I want to and can't decide. Just because I finished an outline doesn't mean I can't wing it on a different project and save the outline for later. This week has been very long. I haven't seen my friends much this week because we've been annoying each other last week. I keep having to work. I wish the schedule wouldn't change. I wish my coworker would ask for days off 2 weeks in advance. I hope my boss finds someone to cover him easily and doesn't even have to ask me. I w

Claimed per accident - Part 11 – Forgiveness
Summary: The Winchesters are your blessing and curse at the same time.
Pairing: Alpha!Dean x Omega!Reader, Alpha!Sam x Omega!Reader, Alpha!John x Omega!Reader, Castiel
Warnings: angst, abo dynamics, scenting, true mates, language, tension, longing
A/N: For my fic, John made the deal to save Sam, not Dean. Castiel gripped John tied to raise him from perdition. Sam was soulless and Dean a demon. This is partially an AU.
Claimed per accident Masterlist
Tumblr media
While you check on all the stuff the brothers tossed into the bags you snicker as Dean seems to be more interested in the pie than the beer John puts into the fridge.
“Got an apple pie for you too, Sweetheart.” Humming you glance at the pie, as Dean gets a knife out to cut a slice for you. “I know you like apple more than cherry.”
“You only try to get more cherry pie, Dean.” While you talk about the best apple pie you ever ate and try to sort all the things the brothers bought John leans against the counter, watching you taste a piece of the apple pie.
“Not bad, but not my grannies. If I find the time between the try to not get killed and keeping three needy Alphas under control I will bake one. I still have my gran’s secret cookbook.”
Sniffling you rub your eyes. “It’s one of the few things I could take with me before I got kicked out.”
“I think all of us would like to taste a piece of your gran’s pie.” John rubs his chin, glancing at you as he tries to tell you what Castiel brought to the bunker for you.
“Castiel, he and Crowley stayed behind after we left, and our favorite angel said your father kept your stuff.”
“Why should he keep my old things? I don’t think my father wanted a reminder of the shitty daughter he kicked out of his life.” John’s features soften as he points toward Cas standing in the doorframe.
“Your father didn’t know that the neighbors, who helped him packing his belongings when he moved out, packed your things too. I read his mind and knew he does not know about it. A woman must’ve packed your things and she left a letter.”
Taking the letter, you smile as you recognize the handwriting. “That’s Miriam’s handwriting. She was my friends’ mother. After my mom died, she became like a mom to me and I spent many nights and days at their house.” Unfolding the letter, you smile as at least one person did not judge you.
“Do you want to read it in private?” Glancing at the letter Castiel wants to leave but you shake your head. “We can give you some time on your own.”
“No. You brought this to me, Cas. Thank you.” Your fingers shake as you read the first lines.
Tumblr media
Dear Y/N,
I hope one day you will be able to get your belongings. I know how much your diaries and the pictures of your mother mean to you. We hid the boxes on the attic when your father moved into the new house.
Your father wanted us to toss everything belonging to your away but Elize and I just could not do it. Whatever your father told us, I know things can be complicated between an Alpha and a young Omega.
My husband and I mated after knowing each other for not even a few hours. He claimed me and I became pregnant. I understand the struggle of being Omega too well, Y/N. Never let anyone tell you that you are not a good person only as you fell for an Alpha and he left you.
The same thing could have happened to me. Luckily, my mate wanted to stay with me.
Whenever I look at my daughter, I see a piece of you in her too as you helped her grow while you were around.
I pray you will grow stronger through the loss and pain. I know you will become an independent and wonderful person.
If you find this letter, you can call me anytime. My number is still the same, but I added at the end of the letter, just in case you forgot.
Have a long and wonderful life.
Stay safe,
Miriam
Tumblr media
Tears in your eyes you press the letter to your heart. ”Miriam always was nice, but I never thought she would be on my side in this. She was strict, always said to Elize that she should not run around with an Alpha.”
“I think she tried to protect her daughter. She was in the same position as you were and knew about the problems an early bond can cause. In the end, she understood your situation better than anyone.”
Castiel saw enough pain and loss due to bonds formed with the wrong mate to know that the Winchesters regret that they were not with you to strengthen your bond.
Smiling the angel watches you walk into the library to open the first box with shaking fingers. It inherits clothes you will never wear again and you are laugh at the crazy shirts you liked to wear.
“Cute shirt.” Snickering Sam glances a pink ‘Hello Kitty’ shirt in the box. “You can wear it anytime.”
“I do not think I will ever wear a ‘Hello Kitty’ shirt or Hawaiian shorts again. The clothes are brand-new. I think I’ll donate those.”
Humming Dean glances at the pink shirt. While you open the next box, he snatches the shirt out of the box to hide it under his flannel.
John smirks watching his son hide the shirt. He knows Dean wants to see you in the shirt and presses his index finger to his lips to make sure Sam keeps his mouth shut.
“Books, my diaries and pictures. I’ll keep those things.” There are five more boxes and your smile grows as you see Miriam even saved your toys. “Maybe one day I can give the dolls and teddy bears to my children.”
John heart races and his cock twitched imagining you filled with his pups.
“Pups…” Purring Dean steps closer to have a look at the toys. “We will find a safe place to store the dolls and things.”
“In here are more books, CD’s, DVD’s and a few pictures.” Sam goes through one of the boxes and you nod as he shoves it toward the other box with the things you want to keep.
While you check on two more boxes Dean’s eyes never leave your face. You never thought you would ever see your things again and now it’s just overwhelming to have all your belongings back.
The last box is full of random things. Make-up, a few thongs, figurines, and other things are hastily thrown into the box. You assume Miriam did not have the time to sort the things in the last box.
“Uh-huh! A red thong…hmmm…” Sam grasps for the underwear before Dean can snatch the thongs too. “Sammy…” Whining the Alpha glances at the thongs and you shake your head at his needy state.
“Dean stop stealing clothes from our Omega. Let us help her carry the boxes into her room and we can have dinner later.”
John picks the first box up as Dean looks one last time at your underwear before he grabs a box too.
Tumblr media
“Looks good. I like the pictures and drawings.” Leaning against the doorframe John let his eyes wander. You placed pictures onto the desks and Dean helped you fixating some drawings and pictures at the wall behind your bed.
On the shelves are your books, CDs, and DVDs along with tiny figurines and a box with your jewelry.
You only kept two pairs of jeans, a dress, two shirts, and your shoes. Sam brought the rest the Salvation Army to donate the clothes you do not need any longer.
“I got a call from a friend. He said your father sued us at the Sheriff’s department.” John smirks as you look at him with wide eyes.
“Good thing the Sheriff is a good friend of mine and gave a shit on your father's statement.”
“How can he do this? It was his fault my Alpha’s defended me. He should know that the law says every Alpha has the right to defend his Omega.” Walking into your room John looks at the pictures on your desk.
There is one of your mom and you. John can see you must have cut your father out as the is a gap in the picture, but he does not say a word.
“I want to make dinner. Any wishes?” Poking his head in Dean looks at you. “Burger? Pasta? My charming personality?”
“I’d like a burger and salad.” Nodding the eldest brother looks around your room.
“I like the knife next to the fairy.” Liking your style Dean gives you a wink before he strolls toward the kitchen. “Y/N wants a burger, live with-it Sammy.”
“Burger? Again?” Grumbling Sam walks into your room, glancing at the pictures of you, your family and friends. “Can we not eat healthily for once?”
“Tonight, I want a burger. A girl got to eat meat to make sure she can take all of you down if needed.” John’s smirk grows as he sees a shirt of him on your bed, along with one of Dean and Sam.
“She’s a little thief, dad. Look at the bed.” Sam purrs, circling your bed like his prey. “I bet she’s rubbing her cute nose into our shirts. Dirty little ‘mega.”
“Sam be cautious, our Omega is a feisty one. Hard to handle and lovely at the same time. Look at her room, it reflects her personality. Gracile fairy and deadly hunter.” John’s deep voice goes lower every time he gets a whiff of your scent.
“I heard that, old man. You better try to get into my good graces.” Stroking the soft skin behind John’s ear you smirk as he purrs for you. “I think you should eat more meat too, John…I have plans for you…”
Tumblr media
“This is the best burger I ever ate, Dean. You are a genius, Alpha. I hope you can cook more. Maybe we can team-up. I could bake a pie using my gran’s recipe and you can make dinner.”
Dean’s eyes lit up when you moan after you took the last bite. He can sense you are calmer now that you claimed both, Sam, and Dean.
While Sam watches you with amusement, knowing you try to tease John with your behavior his father tries to not purr as you rub your hand over his crotch.
“Dean and I will clean the dishes. It’s getting late and I guess…” Sam can’t hold back the dirty grin on his lips as his father starts to shiver every time you stroke his dick. “You and dad need some time alone.”
“How’d you find out?” Your hand moves faster until John stops it. His eyes darken and you know you broke his resistance. “Submit to me and I am yours tonight, John…”
Your hand slides over his thigh as you lean closer to purr the words into his ear.
“I think it’s time to forgive each other our sins, John. I hated you for too long and you, you felt guilty as long as my hatred was kept alive by my memories…”
“I want you, little ‘mega. You are our queen; you’re my queen and I kneel if I have to. Let me show you I can be more than an Alpha in rut.”
When you take John’s hand to lead him toward his room, his sons whistle.
“Be gentle. He’s an old man.” Dean snickers.
“He can’t take too much excitement. Take good care of him.” Sam adds.
“Don’t worry, boys…” Giving the brothers a wink you smirk. “I’ll make sure he purrs in no time…”

Relighting the spark. Part 03.
Tumblr media
Pairing: Bryce Lahela x F!MC (Tesse Sterling)
Word Count: 3.4k
Warning: Bit of angst and cursing.
A/N: Hello darlings! A few weeks ago Chahnaz invited me to do a collaborative fic with her and Georgia, and after weeks working on it, I’m finally posting it! It’s cheeeeesy, a little self-indulgent amd maybe experimental, but I think I made justice to the previous work the girls did.
I hope you like it!

Tesse sat on the first bench she found in the locker room, feeling her stomach quivering. She wasn’t sure if she was ready for that something that had hoped—dreamed— for years.
But there was only a way to find out.
She sauntered towards her locker, changed her scrubs into a pair of blue jeans, a peach shirt, and a caramel jacket on top. Her hands were trembling while she was zipping it up. Then, she exited to the main entry and waited a few feet away from the doors.
A couple of minutes after, she heard a "hey” behind her back.
“Hey”—Tesse answered, her voice barely a whisper.
“So, did you think about my plan?”
After the kiss, she felt confused and slightly regretful for being so weak, because there were so many things both had to say. And as if ten years hadn’t passed, he could read her like a book. He proposed her to go to his place to have a proper talk without noises and intromissions.
“Yeah, and I accept.”
“Your favorite dish is still luau stew?”
Tesse froze. The question had been thrown so out of the blue, and with such specific information that it took her a while to process it.
How he could remember that? she thought.
“Y… you still remember?”
“Yeah, practically the 90% of the time it reminds me of you, if it’s not always, but I don't want to brag.”
He gave her a charming smile that made Tesse melt more than she already was.
“Wow. I don’t know what to say.”
“Yes? No? I actually hate it now?”
“Oh, that.”—Her cheeks flushed—"Yes, it is still my favorite”
“Cool, because near my place there is a Hawaiian restaurant I wanna try.”
He pulled out his phone and after a few touches he took it to his ear
“Goodnight, I would like two luau stew… Takeout… Great. By any chance do you have strawberry mochi? Really? Cool. Yes, two, please. Bryce Lahela. Thank you. I’ll be there in twenty, good night.”
He pocketed his phone into the inner layer of his jacket.
“All settled. I hope you don’t mind I imposed my dinner election.”
“I don’t. I actually had been wondering if there were any good places here.”
“Yeah, me too. When I arrived last week, I tried one downtown. It was great but could’ve been better. Maybe I just got used to my favorite at Stanford.”
They took the train and chatted about their day, trying to avoid more uncomfortable topics. It still felt awkward. Tesse was having a hard time trying to accept that after years of wishing, Bryce was by his side, and would probably be back as she always dreamed.
“And how’s your family?”
“Fine, I think so. My dad’s applying for parole for good behavior, I think. Keiki is 15. But I haven’t been there since… a lot.”
“How much?”
Tesse saw how the tension invaded his whole body, as he started to scratch the back of his head.
“I don’t know, I…I’ve been busy with med school.”
“You haven’t seen her in all this time?”
He didn’t reply,  but it wasn’t necessary.
“Bryce! She’s your sister, you can’t abandon her like that.”
His cheeks blushed and she could see the guilt in his eyes.
“This is our stop”—He announced, taking a few steps towards the door. Once the train stopped, they got off the train.
“Why you haven’t gone with your family? Your sister must be needing you, Bryce.”
“I’ll never forget my parents for what they did. They destroyed my life, Tesse. My life at school, even at college was a nightmare because of what they did. Hell, I left you because I wanted to protect you from that. I just can’t see them.”
“But Keiki has nothing to do with that, she was a kid, she is a teenager now, and must be living the same hell you lived, and you’re the only one who can understand her”
Bryce swallowed hard, his eyes sparkling. The thought of her suffering just like he did... It was too much for him.
“I’m sorry, I have no right to talk to you like that”
“That’s not true. You are the only one who has the right because you know how much she means to me,  it’s just… I know what I’ve been doing it’s awfully shitty, but it’s different when somebody else says it.”
Tesse took his hand and caressed the back softly.
“I’m sorry, I know this is difficult for you.”
Bryce nodded and then they walked in silence, each one with their own demons, regrets, and questions.
After a few minutes, they got into the restaurant.
“Good night, takeout for two, please. Name’s Bryce Lahela”—He informed as they both reached the dispatch counter.
“Two Luau and mochi?”
“Correct”
The man behind the counter handed the bag to Tesse while Bryce took out his credit card. After a few seconds, the man handed him the receipt and Bryce folded it to put it in his wallet.
“Thank you, good night.”—Both Tesse and Bryce said before going back to the entry.
After a short walk, they entered the building. The façade showed a modern building, but it could be said it had been built about ten years ago.
“Heavens, nice place”—She said looking around the living room, decorated with a modern and sleek style, but it wasn't ostentatious.
“Make yourself comfortable” —He invited, taking off his jacket and shoes. Tesse did the same.
Then they sat in the table and started eating, sharing memories of the countless times they had luau stew for lunch at school, at his place, at hers… at their spot, even.
“Mmmhh this is so great!! It’s almost as good as the stew my tutu cooks”—She says, with satisfaction both in her words and her face. (A/N: Tutu: Grandma in Hawaiian)
“Yeah, it’s delicious. I would give it 4 out of 5 stars, anyway.”
After a few seconds, Tesse stared at him, smiling brightly, forcing herself to forget all the pain, all the rage she had feeling for a few hours, and just enjoy the moment with him, before she would be back to her senses.
“God. I missed you so much. I can’t believe fate put us together.”
Bryce slid his hand in the table to reach hers.
“Me neither. I wish it would have been sooner, though”—He let out a breath, melancholy in his eyes.
“Maybe, but you should know everything happens at the right time, Bryce.—She assured, now her taking his hand.—Maybe before this moment, we wouldn’t have been as ready or healed as now. If we really are, of course. We have a lot to talk about yet.
“Yeah.”—He looked at her, thoughtfully and then continued—“What I said earlier is true. I regret all the pain I caused, Tesse. I regret pushing you away because I knew you wanted to be there for me, but I thought I was protecting you.”
Tesse just listened to him quietly, assimilating all the words and gestures that would make her decide if he was really sorry and he was being honest and sincere about what had happened all these years.
“I realized too late that you were stronger than I thought. You were stronger than me even. I just ended up hurting you anyway, and maybe worse than what I was trying to protect you from.”
“Yes, because I never cared what people said, Bryce. I knew you, I knew you had nothing to do with what your father had done, and that was enough for me. People would always talk, but I only cared about you.”
“I know. Tesse, I’m so, so, sorry. There’s no day that I didn’t think about you and the pain I caused on you.”—He shook his head—"I… I tried to move on, but your memory always haunted me. No one was enough compared to what you gave me and how you made me feel.”
“It… It happened to me too. I never got interested in anyone after you. When you left it was like something inside me turned off. Like a bulb light had broken inside me. Some guys gave me a sparkle, a twinkle, but nothing more than that. Nothing like the light, the fire I felt with you. And… that I felt when I kissed you this afternoon.”
“Tesse...” — He whispered incredulous.
“Bryce, I’ve never wanted anything more than to be with you again. Seeing you here makes me forget everything that happened, but I know that someday, even in an hour or tomorrow, it will hit me again, and I don’t wanna hold grudges on you, feel resentment out of the blue, and ruin what we could have.”
“I know. I know this isn’t gonna be easy… But I’m willing to do whatever it takes to have you back, Tesse. Whatever it takes.”
“I know this sounds kind of… torturing, but would you tell me how has been these years for you? The good, the bad…”
Bryce was nervous, but he had promised Tesse that he would do anything to have her back, and if she wanted him to tell her how the last ten years have been, he would give her that.
He started telling her that after he moved to California, he never returned home, and hadn’t been in touch with his parents for all the hell the put him through but he usually called Keiki for her birthday, but not more than that.
Bryce also told her that most people he met at Stanford knew he was the son of a criminal and had a hard time trying to not let it get under his skin. He accepted that everything would have been easier if he had had her, she would have found the exact words to make him feel better, and her presence would have been enough to ease his pain, but he had to live with his decision, his mistake.
He told her about some girls he met and dated, but even the coolest and greatest girls never made him feel like it was supposed he had to feel. It never felt the same as with Tesse. He felt empty all those years, always feeling something was missing but he couldn’t be sure if it was her who was missing or if it was just the guilt haunting him even after all these years.
The moment he saw her he knew it has always been her who he wanted.
Once Bryce told him about his last two years, they served the dessert on the couch, talking more calmly about what had happened in the last two days, how shocked both were, and how incredibly awkward is life giving second chances.
“Do you want some more?”—Tesse said playfully, with a strawberry mocchi on her hand, and bringing it to his mouth. He took a bite looking at her invitingly. His lips brushed her fingers and Tesse bite her lips at the feeling. That was the impulse he needed to took her by the waist and pulling her into his mouth and kiss her. Both had been wanting it since they met outside Edenbrook.
It was like the mochi had turned on the sweet mode because, after a few minutes, they started sharing sweet looks, soft smiles, and somehow they couldn’t keep their hands off each other.
“You have no idea how much I missed you”—He whispers in her ear, while Tesse had her arms locked around his torso, and Bryce was just stroking her hair, feeling the silkiness of her locks.
And Tesse was feeling so peaceful, she couldn’t ask for a better place to be at that moment.
Then they would stare at each other in silence, observing eyes, noses, freckles, lips, chins, as if trying to remember how they were and if all this was true.
But then, they realized that it wasn’t only about that. They were knowing each other again. As adults, not as the teenagers they were in Maui. Because their faces, bodies, minds and maybe hearts weren’t the same they knew once.
As Tesse changed through the years, so did he. Bryce wasn’t the boy with a timid smile and long hair, who wore leather jackets and rode a motorcycle.
He was a man with a styled haircut and highlights in his locks, giving his tanned skin an irresistible shine. And he was dressing like someone who never was a rebel in his youth. And his eyes, his dreamy eyes just showed all the pain and loneliness he had lived in all these years.
Important parts of their characters had been changed too. Some defined, others accentuated and some others were just part of their grown-up, but not part of them anymore. Bryce had confidence she never had seen in him. The hell he lived at college forced him to show the world how worthy he was, that no one could undermine him for what his parents had done. But knowing him as she knew him back in school, she new that sensitive Bryce was still there, and all the flirty, self-assured looks Bryce shows to the world was a shield to his scars.
The Bryce that didn’t talk about his feelings was still there, she could tell, even he had opened to her just know. She had mastered the art of making him open more than ten years ago. She had the key, and even after all these years, the lock was the same.
They had changed, but they were the same in the essence of their cores.
The same old innocence in her heart that made her stomach flutter every time he looked at her, every time she felt his lips on hers. The same sweetness in his heart, that made him look at her like she was heaven, and show her with gestures and caresses that she still was the one.
She still could make him feel an adrenaline rush every time she kissed him, and he still could steal the same silly laughs from her with his shenanigans.
They still had their own small world of tender looks, of amused smirks, of winks and funny faces where time hasn’t passed, and they would laugh just like when they were foolish teenagers in love.
Ten years had passed, but their hearts had saved all those treasured memories to keep them alive until they would meet again, when their hearts and minds would be open and understanding enough to accept each other back in their lives, despite the mistakes and the pain. Because it was true, no one ever hurt her as Bryce did, but no one could make her feel like him neither. Even if she tried to believe otherwise, she knew no one could love her as he did. And if he was willing to make her happy and never let her go again, all those years of suffering would worth it.
“How is possible to feel the same way as before, even if we are not the same people?” —She asked, lost in his amber eyes.
“Maybe our love never changed. Maybe love it’s like home. You could change, you could grow up, but every time you go there, it feels the same and it feels right.”
“But you… you never came back home, how could you know how that feels?”
“Because you are my home, Tesse. When I kissed you this afternoon I knew. I knew why I felt so hollow and never could do anything to change it.”
She felt a light getting warmer inside her, her core enlightened. But it wasn’t a twinkle like she felt before with other guys. She had her own floodlight inside her.
And that warmth is what lulled them in that moment. They stared at each other what it seemed an eternity, observing their features, their sparkling eyes, their lips until they met again in a sweet and comfortable kiss. One of many.
She woke up in the darkness, startled. Tesse didn’t know where she was. After a few moments, she remembered her last few conscious moments cuddled with Bryce on the couch, resting over his lap while he was stroking her hair gently and they were just chatting about everything and nothing, just like old times.
Was it true or was it a dream? She felt panic that it all had been a dream, and the reality was a nightmare where Bryce wasn’t back in her life.
Suddenly, all her fears were gone as she heard a deep breath a few inches from her ear and his arms were still secured around her.
After a few moments of hesitation, she tried to move slowly to get up from the couch.
“What are you doing, Tesse?”
“I… I should get home”
“You don’t have to go. Stay.”—He said in a raspy voice.
She felt stiff. For a moment she felt nervous that Bryce would want to try things she wasn’t ready to try yet. They were adults now. But if Bryce knew her like she used to, he would never push her to do something she didn’t want. Besides, there was nothing bad about wanting to sleep together. They did it countless times in their adolescence.
“Okay”—She finally muttered.
“Let’s get to the bed.”
Bryce guided her to his bedroom with a king-size bed and two nightstands; a desk full of medical books and two doors, the first one to a walk-in closet and the second one to the bathroom. The room was clean just as she thought it would.
“I’m gonna use the bathroom”—She said, sautering towards the second door, holding her purse on her hand.
She looked at the mirror while she was brushing her teeth, trying to comprehend all that had happened in the last hours. Bryce Lahela was back in her life. She could have him if she wanted, but it wasn’t a decision she could make now or in a few days, it would take weeks and even months before she would feel ready and free of grudges and pain to finally make a choice. And for that, she had to be brave, take a step forward and try. Maybe things in her life would finally be happy for her.
There was only one way to know.
By the time Tesse was back, Bryce was with shirt and bottoms on and had already opened the bed and turned off the lights, just a tenuous light over the nightstand was on.
“I thought you would want to change into something more comfy” — He said pointing out a par of bottoms and a shirt.
“Thank you”—She said, and then he went to the bathroom.
Tesse changed her clothes into the white shirt and a red bottoms. It looked bigger on her, just like ten years ago, or maybe bigger. Bryce was a bit taller and very muscled compared to what he used to be, so he probably was using one or two sizes bigger.
Then she just laid down in bed and waited anxiously for Bryce to come back to the room.
“Are you comfortable or do you need another pillow?” —He asked, standing in front of her.
“I’m okay, but I’ll be better when you’re here with me.”—Just that small gesture made all her anxiety go. He was the same Bryce Lahela she had fallen in love ten ywars ago. How that could be possible?
He chuckled, amused.
“You’re so cute, Tesse, you know that?”—He said, laying by her side and taking her in his arms.
“I think so, you used to tell me that a lot.”
“And I don’t plan it to be different now.”
“Aww”—She glanced up at him and brushed her lips into his. Then he locked his eyes into hers, smiling tenderly.
“I just want to hold you as much as possible, so I can believe this is real.”
“I hope all this is real. Would be a real nightmare if I wake up one day and you’re not here, and you’re not sorry and you never really cared after you left.”
“How could I not be sorry? How could I not care about you, Tesse?”
“You wouldn’t be the boy I loved. The man I love.”
“Precisely. I’m just an idiot who pulled you away, but I always cared.”
He rested his lips on her temple.
“Bryce?”
“Yeah?”
“I really hope this works.”
“Me too, Tesse.”
And they would make their best to do so.

The One Where Jackie Meets The Others
Summary: Chapter 4. Jackie enjoys a couple trips out with Marvin.
Warnings: death and blood mentions
@bupine @badlypostedeverything
Things don't smoothly transition back to the way they were following that morning. However, they both agreed it was clear Anti's intentions were to divide them. Therefore, it would be dumb to give him that satisfaction. When Marvin asks, out of pure curiosity, about the mullet, Jackie doesn't really have an answer. He'd simply liked the style. But maybe it was time to move on. The chances of him returning to the '80s were particularly slim. With the green having faded weeks ago, he has it cut so it now only reaches his ears. The style is nice but he does miss his old look. He supposes Marvin was pleased with this development. He definitely got a lot of joy from teasing Jackie about how much curlier his shorter hair became following showers. The only quip he has in response is that the hero's hair wasn't much better when wet either. The next thing on the agenda was the excursion to Pizza Hut. The four of them agree to meet on Thursday. In preparation, Marvin offers Jackie a copy of the restaurant's document on allergy information. Marvin faces falls when he learns just how many items he loved posed a certain risk to Jackie's health. Nope, no pepperoni for him. No garlic breadsticks or cheesy fries either. Fried items were a contamination risk too, apparently. He lies when his friend asks about stuffed crust. Jackie trying the crust option was one of the main reasons they'd agreed to visit the establishment. Besides, it wasn't guaranteed it would trigger a reaction. He could possibly get away with sampling a little of Marvin's crust if he didn't push his luck. It is comforting to learn Henrik, the friend who made educational videos for others, had coeliac's disease and therefore had to be wary when eating as well. Jameson was Marvin's cousin of sorts. Their grandmothers had been sisters. Then their mothers were friends, leading to their sons to develop a good relationship while growing up. Jameson was a performer who used his control over time and sound for entertainment purposes. He and Marvin frustratingly run late due to the hero misplacing his wallet. They are apologetic to Henrik and Jameson who have already found a table and ordered drinks for themselves. Jameson has neat brown hair that extends down his face to his jawline and closely surrounds his mouth. Henrik, on the other hand, has black hair which has been swept back as well as glasses. The two of them promise they don't mind the delay. They haven't been here for ages anyway. In time, four pizzas are delivered to the table. There is the pan BBQ americano, gluten free Hawaiian, cheesy bites pepperoni and stuffed crust BBQ beef and onion. Marvin suggests he and Jackie trade a slice. His friend makes a supposedly humourous comment about how he identifies as Jackie's pizza base but it's lost on the former drummer. How someone can deeply relate to dough that's been baked in a pan, Jackie has no clue. He allows Marvin to take a slice regardless. However, when it comes to him returning the gesture, Jackie insists he only wants a little bit of his friend's crust. Half a slice's worth of stuffed crust is placed on top of his own pizza. Jackie regrets it as soon as it enters his mouth. God damn it, it was actually really tasty. He could see why Marvin was so enthusiastic about it. His expression remains neutral as he chews, well aware he has an audience. He hates how disappointed Marvin looks when Jackie gives a bullshit review about the cheese within being too chewy. Allergies and cross-contamination risks fucking sucked. Screw his body for being an asshole who overreacted to a commonly used spice. "Oh well, more for me." Marvin winks as he recovers from the blow before stealing a piece of chicken from Jackie plate. Alright, maybe letting one small inconvenience ruin tonight in his mind was stupid. Marvin had said he'd act as translator. Which was a lovely gesture. Jackie was grateful he was prepared to sacrifice part of his evening to play the middleman so he and Jameson could communicate. Except Marvin got sidetracked at one point and had delved into a whole conversation with his cousin, spoke entirely in BSL. It looked like a funny one too. Jackie was glad the pair were enjoying their evening. He stuck to conversing with Henrik instead. It's a struggle as they don't seem to have much in common. That is until Jackie absentmindedly asked what sort of food Henrik enjoyed. This in turn triggered the German man sitting opposite him to enthuse about fried potato slices with pieces of bacon and onion. Jackie himself launches into a story about how his mother used to work with a woman who had family in West Germany. Then this German colleague would sometimes write down a recipe or two to give to them. In no uncertain terms, those foreign dishes beat jacket potatoes or beans on toast any day. The four men give their stomachs a chance to settle a little while they chat as a group. Then it was time to finish off the night with ice cream shakes. Two strawberries, an oreo and a chocoholic are brought to the table. Although there had been several mentions of what Jameson did for a living, it is only at this point that a proper conversation about is initiated. "Jameson's doing a show on the 4th. I think we should go. What do you say?" Jackie's response is delayed due to Marvin making the suggestion just as he takes a long sip of his strawberry shake. "Oh uh, yeah, sure. What exactly will be in the show? Time stuff, right?" Jameson taps the side of his nose with a wry smile. The younger of the cousins translates this as "I believe he's saying that's for him to know and for you to find out." The performer signs something. "Expect the unexpected." Marvin rolls his eyes with a smile remaining on his face. "Oh yeah, like when you get a younger member of the audience to volunteer for your sound tricks. I once heard Hacker T Dog from CBBC sing Thinking Out Loud, you know. That was an experience." Jameson makes a comment. "I haven't seen the weirdest combinations? Well yeah, I sure hope I haven't. Kids' minds can come up with bizarre things. Henrik, especially, should know that." Henrik nods to this with a sense that this was a profound understatement. The banter carries on and Jackie soon feels like less of an outsider. The ice creams shakes eventually get drained as the evening draws to a close. Once all the goodbyes and "It was nice to meet you"s are over, the tow of them hop into Marvin's car to head home. Bohemian Rhapsody happens to begin playing on the radio as they set off. Jackie doesn't even have to ask before he's turning the volume up for both their benefits. They haphazardly fall into a duet. Jackie's heard Marvin singing absentmindedly to himself before this. He therefore already knows he has a good voice. But it isn't until tonight that he's able to hear it out loud. "I need you to do me a favour. Do you mind headbanging like in Wayne's World?" "What?" "Wayne's World. Never seen the film myself but there's a pretty well known scene where a bunch of them are in the car while this song is playing. Then during the instrumental that's coming up, they really rock out. I've always wanted to do it while in a car but I always seem to be the driver when I get the chance. So do you mind rocking out in a minute on my behalf?" Jackie chuckles. "Sure. My pleasure." As Freddie finishes claiming Beelzebub has a devil put aside for him, Jackie springs into action. He moves his head back and forth in rapid succession to the music. The pair follow along with the next verse as loudly as possible. At least, they attempt to. It isn't long before they have both descended into raucous laughter. "Thanks!" Marvin manages in between breaths when it calms. "We should do that again. With us stationary next time so you can do it too." "Deal." Marvin bursts into laughter once more and Jackie thinks he's growing particularly fond of it. --- Another crime scene, another person fighting to remain alive while bleeding from the neck. Cat is only able to stand by while the paramedics do their job. He'd like to beg them to not take this guy to hospital, to not risk history repeating itself. But it's not like he can ask anyone to skip properly treating the victim. He's sure everyone here knows this situation is a catch 22. However, they can't do anything other than perform their jobs. It takes great deal of convincing but Cat is allowed to stay outside the patient's room for the night. He's been standing guard for a good while when midnight passes. A doctor comes along on her rounds. She speaks to Cat and the other member of security he's been spending the night with. While she's talking, Anti's latest victim begins coding. Any and all resuscitation efforts prove futile. The guy is gone. So is the doctor. If she even existed in the first place. And Cat suspects Anti himself is long gone too. The day afterwards, he catches some reporting of the murder while flicking through channels. The victim has an identity now. There's a name, age and grieving loved ones. The television is bitterly switched off as Marvin searches for his notebook instead. Joining the countless other entries is 27/4/19 - Nick Shaw, 34, wife + 2 little kids The next time he sees Anti, he's not fucking around. Enough was enough. Marvin was putting a stop to this once and for all, by whatever method was necessary. --- The first Saturday of May is a cloudy one. That doesn't stop a crowd from flocking to the Jolly Gentleman's show. Chase is still getting out of the car when Niamh races out, the name Oscar having barely left her mouth before doing so. It is with great relief that Chase witnesses his daughter collide with a familiar man. The pair of single fathers briefly kiss as a part of a greeting while the five year old girl is returned. Her twin sister and older brother hover around as the greetings continue. Eventually, Fletcher drifts into his own group with both of Oscar's boys. The seven of them make their way inside. "So where is this friend of yours?" Oscar asks as they take their seats. "Do you see him?" "Not yet. He should be bringing his new roommate with him." His scanning of the tent is halted. "Speak of the devil." Chase spots Marvin entering the area, along with another man whom his best assumptions identified as Jackie. They seat themselves in the same row as the fathers. The children sit directly in front of the adults. Marvin introduces him to Jackie as Dr Chase Brody, emphasising the title. "I'm just spending the day out with my kids, there's no need to be throwing my doctorate around. Chase." He offers his hand for Jackie to shake. "And this is Fletcher, Ciera and Niamh." Oscar carries on the round of greetings by introducing himself, Milo and Max. They spend a full minute going through the mundane pleasantries before Marvin and Jackie finally stay seated. As the performance begins, Chase relaxes. They'd filled the wait time with small talk and chatter amongst themselves, however, he had intended for today to be a chance to spend time with his partner. He gives Marvin the benefit of the doubt. The thing is, Jackie came across as a decent enough guy. He also understandably seemed a little overwhelmed by the amount of people in the group. If the chit chat served as a distraction, then fine by him. Besides, he only looked like he was in his late teens anyway. They did share a history of drumming when they were younger though which was a nice surprise. That certainly allowed for a whole avenue of conversation. As soon as Jameson emerged to start his performance, the auditory atmosphere changed. There were speakers around the place and at certain points of the show it almost felt as if the sound was travelling around the space as a physical thing. He also seemingly teleported to a different spot than moments before. A woman was completely flabbergasted when she discovered a small thank you card in her handbag that certainly hadn't been there when she arrived with no easy explanation for how it got there. Throughout the performance, one of his colleagues acted as his commentator. Among his other tricks, the Jolly Gentleman sets a row of plants on fire with an elongated lighter. One of his colleagues dramatically shows up with a bucket of water to extinguish it. The performer stops him with a raised hand. He then holds the lighter, still producing a flame, up for the audience. It trails across the plants, erasing any evidence that there had been any combustion taking places. Not a single scorch mark or hint of smoke in sight. A little girl is summoned from the audience. She's about the twins' age, maybe slightly younger. After being asked what her favourite character was (Daddy Pig, of all things) she was encouraged to sing a song she really liked (I'm a Little Teapot). Already familiar with work stories his friend had, he knew what to expect. The crowd was treated to Daddy Pig's rendition of I'm a Little Teapot, complete with actions. Or at least, they were partially treated to it as the volunteer kept giggling into the microphone throughout her performance. It is evident that Jackie is too enthralled by the show to notice the barely subtle yet fond glances in his direction from the one sitting next to him. Ah, so it was like that, huh? Good for them. Chase catches Marvin's arm as they head out, taking advantage of Jackie going to speak with Jameson. It would be more discreet if Marvin's friend wasn't in earshot. With a wink, he teases his friend. "And they were roommates." "Hey, shut up. It's not like that." "Sure. And Oscar is nothing more than my buddy." "Chase-" "Seriously, what have you got to lose? If he's straight then it might get a little awkward for a moment. But I feel like he would be reasonable and appreciate the honesty. Well, you know him better than I do. You tell me." "You sure?" "Listen, I was already married to a woman when I started being cool with liking dudes. But since the split I've been around the block a few times. It is going to be fine." Marvin moves towards his car as Jackie re-emerges from backstage. It's clear he's still very much skeptical about it all. "If you say so, Chase." ---- Joel makes the judgement that Jackie would probably be fine to travel through his portals a week later. His apartment is pleasant. The ledge of one of his windows has a cushion to improve comfort. Jackie notices remnants of blu tack on the wall where something had clear been removed, which was odd. He almost makes a joke about it but decides against it. "Well... fáilte!" Joel spreads his arms to gesture to the whole room. "Wait, you know some Irish?" "Yep. Had an Irish grandmother who got me conversational." "Really? Nice. In that case, go raibh maith agat." Jackie chuckles. "So... anyway, you going to tell me how you know I'm from '86 or not?" "Okay, so you already know about my portals." "Are you trying to tell me you portalled me through time?" "What?! No, of course not. Bold of you to assume I have any control over the 4th dimension. I meant, I have powers and therefore I inherited the ability to have them." "So how then?" "One of my dads has a time based power and I guess, that trickled down to me a little. Stuff like that happens sometimes. I think Jameson might have an unusually strong immune system because his mother has enhanced immunity. Either way, I just have a sixth sense for time stuff." "...Right." Joel huffs in annoyance. "Alright, believe me or don't. The point is I want to help you go back to your own time if that's what you want." Ah. That's where that elephant was hiding. He was slowly getting used to the future but there was an inexplicable longing to return to where he came from. He was never meant to be 20 in 2019. There was no denying that fact. And as much as he enjoyed hanging out with Marvin and the rest of his new friends, it felt wrong somehow. That said, he was particularly good at going with the flow where necessary. If he was stuck in this century for good, then he'd deal with that. But if there was a chance he could be returned to 1986, there was no way he wouldn't take it. "How?" A sly smile appears on Joel's face. "Ah, for that, we will need Jameson and Henrik's help. All we have to do is wait for the right moment to ask for it. And seeing as it's now May, I don't think we'll have to wait that long."

They live on what little food they can grow themselves or trade for from the villages along the road He has been raised in a simple hut by his mother and father, who are both very poor farmers The only other person living here besides them is Simo himself, but he spends most of his time playing games with his brother, Nils Beebe-Beebe The next day you wake up to find that your innkeeper is gone without an explanation as usual called the "Beeship" It's a small device that will allow him to travel through space instantly If he uses it properly, he'll be able to get anywhere in the galaxy within minutes You know all this because he tells you about it every once in awhile while you're eating breakfast You wonder if he really needs all these extra profits, but then again maybe not you've got a lot of money now after all to a countless number of worlds throughout the galaxy, which means you are making a good profit You order extra alligator parts shipped in from dozens of other planets each week It gets to the point where half the bar is filled with your stockpile All of this allows you to buy yourself a little place in a much better part of town, the prices are incredibly cheap now that everyone is leaving to search for the new planet alligator milk, alligator gall bladders, alligator hearts, legs, and even genitals All of this money also employs a whole crew to work in your inn helping customers with their alligator parts and shipping requests You have no idea why some types go for more than others Whatever the nobles request is most likely what you'll ship out to them Now that you actually own your inn, you get to experience something you've missed out on for the past year ! you still wear your golden one everyday and love looking at it Feeling well enough financially to do this, you decide to splurge on a new home for yourself The house is right near a picturesque park with running trails, man made waterfalls, and Australian style cable cars to take you over the historically significant city wall whenever you like It also comes with its own large stretch limo for easy transport ! You sure do like wearing those too! Now of course there's a high demand for these necklaces, meaning there's plenty of crime involved with getting them around here After all, even you committed a crime or two to get your first one Only the nobles and authorities are allowed to wear them openly on their necks Though there are several ways the police have of spotting somebody wearing fakes or stolen teeth necklaces everyday Gon' down to the river and throw my billfallow trout-tickler Upwands to stap my belly like a ozzin Muttonheads! Heaving haycocks, have you no more decency than to poach in full view of the public? and not an ounce of backbone amongst the lot of ya iths swining in our trees like so many orange ornaments and you lot cut them down for sport Flying pigs! knights Given your inn's history, this is usually the type of people you get coming in nowadays Drunken idiots looking to make an uproar and fill the place with smoke Bores! besides every once in awhile you still get the odd adventurer type who has heard about your place Of course these drunkards are a big part of your business nowadays You might not make as much money as you used to, but you can honestly say you're enjoying yourself a lot more now He's got more necklaces on than a charmed serpent Your head chef in the kitchen as of recently, he's an experimental gourmet chef of some sort, always trying out newfangled recipes with alligator meat too tough to be served anywhere else When you first started the alligator fad, he was the one who came up with the concept of an alligator sausage and has also created dishes such as alligator poutine and gator tail mac and cheese , similar to a Mao jacket Bill falls in through the back door of the kitchen, out of breath and clutching his chest making wheezing noises He's clad in a red Hawaiian shirt He wears blue jeans with brown leather belt with a rectangular silver buckle He has on work boots that are clearly used for manual labor of some sort, perhaps farming He wears a brown leather tool belt There are tongs, pliers, and other such tools associated with hands When he sees you, his eyes dart around looking at everything but you "Um hello," He says nervously, "I'm here to apply for the head chef position " a blue light at the center of his vision YOU: "Hmmm say, weren't you in here last night drinking off your sorrows?" "among other things "Strike one," YOU: "And you also almost single handedly destroyed the tavern in a drunken stupor I'm not sure if that makes you the best person to take the esteemed position of head chef or the worst " Bil claps his hands together In the middle of the face is a mouth that acts as a filter with an opening and closing lid Inside are interlocking teeth that cut and carve the shaggy shreds of tobacco that continuously fall on the ground The whole contraption is held in his mouth with wires that go around the head "Alrighty then," Bil says excitedly , as they are fighting over bills that have come in But it hardly matters, he gets weekly allowances for doing chores that he doesn't even do anyway To amuse himself, he often wanders into taverns requesting work as a bartender After the tavern gets trashed he moves along to the next tavern He has before worked at this tavern for a year before, but that was only because of his connections in the past involvements he had with Keira You suspect trouble "I think I should let you know that you would be working under me," You say That instantly worries him w Bil looks down, letting out a sigh Huh? YOU: "What?" GAME: You've chosen Conservative mode! This option will result in having a manageable business without much risk, but the profits are likely to be low "It's not that I doubt your commanding abilities!" Bil says Uh-Oh It's Showtime! As Bil throws in playing with his sawfish teeth interlocking device "Ummm Welll its just that I was under the impression that you were the daughter of Ola our departed co-chef Also my age and not fit to command anyone," Bil says as he squirms uncomfortably You've met my Pa before " Silence, evident confusion, and slight panic washes over Bill's sober face Get him on the couch! "Perhaps we should discuss this matter at a later time I am terribly busy with inventory and organizing everything until the day that Ola arrives in ten hours via hover train," Bill says attempting to leave You clamp your hand around Bil Muscat's thin arm He jumps back and lets out a loud yelp YOU: "Keep your voice down What I need you to do is organize and inventory the smaller alcohol bottles," "Yes Boss " Bil says "And Bil, do it quickly, or you'll feel my wrath The man frightened and near tears he cautiously approaches the alcohol storage closet This isn't going to plan, but the least effective time to do this would be now You need to guide him along "Hey, you're new, right?" a man says to Bil as he steps off the hover tram You recognize him as another alcohol supplier (and buddy of yours) named Zimak "I've got a large shipment that arrived this morning Where would you like it? I can't unstow everything myself " THIS CHOICE MATTERS! NOTE: You may select more then one choice for your answer Option One: Place the alcohol in a different location from the current supplies Option Two - Get a jump on this shipment and place it with the current alcohol "Leave it with the main supply," You shout Bil is too overwhelmed to speak Soon he manages to locate the crates of alcohol in Zimak's shipment He soon begins separating the bottles organized by type and size Pleased as punch Bil says, "I see you sent out for some top-shelf alcohol again, but what's this?" Bil's holding up a blue aluminum canister that says fizzy peach wuzzy on the side You now have a final answer of where the can is placed Placing it somewhere else will break your streak! Option One: Place it with the main stock Option Two: Place it elsewhere on another shelf YOU: "Stock it where you cherry-picked items are located " "But I need those for gifts and personal use," bawls Bill as he attempts to collect himself again Before long he'll cry in front of the customers! "Sweet Christmas! Would you calm down? Does that stuff really do anything for you?" You say as you snatch the canned good out of his hands and begin to open it "Man, this fruit punch is a real lemon-lime bomb! Heh See? I made a joke!" You continue to mock Bil until he begins to seriously sob into his hands While he attempts to regain his composure, you send the Zimak fellow on his way Zimak, why did you send me such an alcoholic beverage?" You say still holding the metallic tasting blue liquid "I dunno, I thought you guys would like it for one of your parties or something That stuff's pretty popular and my kids love the cartoon on the side of the can "You're lucky I like you and this was free," You say lightly pushing Zimak, before he takes his leave Somehow you'll have to get through the day without offending anyone too harshly or else the word will spread that you're a mean boss and folks will avoid shopping here Last thing you want is to have this place become a ghost town Maybe get a bit drunk today That reminds you of Bill's earlier freakout over his bottle of Stoli You better see what exactly is bugging Bil today Upon entering the break-room (what you call the refrigerator) you find Bil wailing and gnashing his teeth over one of the shelves You figured it out instantly; his beloved Smirnoff isn't there! "Things can't be that bad " You trail off as he turns to you sobbing Oh boy He took it!" "Who took what?" "Gunther! He took my bottle!" At this point Bil wipes his nose on his shirt sleeve and begins pointing an accusatory finger at you, "It's your fault! If you hadn't opened that big can of worms by pulling that April fools prank, he would've left everything alone " You can't tell if this is the alcohol or his medical condition but either way, you need to get to the bottom of this "Alright, you know what? I'll go talk to him myself You just sit here and relax " "I won't relax until I get my drinks back!" Well, at least that's a start in the right direction Now you just hope Gunther is home

Beach Ritual
[Disclaimer: Obey Me! is copyright of NTT Solmare - I do not own anything other than the story created below]
“Feels good to be back in the Human World, isn’t it?”
You turn your head to Lucifer and smile. “I still can’t believe you actually convinced Lord Diavolo to let us spend the weekend here,” you said as you looked out at the lapping waves in the distance, “It’s been so long since my last beach visit.”
“Not just any beach, mind you,” he reminded, waving his hand towards the luxury resort behind you, “I believe it’s only fair we relax in style.”
You couldn’t agree more – these past few weeks in the Devildom as one of the human exchange students could get tiring at times, and this isn’t from making sure you aren’t another demon’s next meal. The resort before you is massive – palm trees swaying gently in the sea breeze as they lean in slight angles on fine, golden sand; little bamboo huts topped with straw roofs dotted the shore, providing shade for those who do not wish to spend too much time in the sun; lounge chairs close by for those who would be in the open, large parasols either open or closed depending on who would prefer to sunbathe. Behind this beach are a row of white buildings lined up along a marble catwalk – condominiums with balconies on the top floors as well as a shaded roof for those who’d prefer a panoramic view of the location.
“Well, we’re not going to stand here all day,” Lucifer reminded, “Let’s settle in.” You nodded and picked up your luggage as you walked over to one of the condominiums. Almost immediately the sound of two of the brothers could be heard as you opened the door.
“As the second eldest, I believe I should get the fancy room with a balcony overlooking the beach!”
“That’s not fair, I got to this room first!”
You and Lucifer shared a sigh as Mammon and Levi argued on who gets to have one of the rooms on the second floor. “Should we try to break up the argument or...” you trailed off, seeing Leviathan eventually give up and head to another room instead, “Never mind.”
You padded up the stairs with Lucifer – personally you’d also like a room with a balcony, but having just a beach view from your window is perfectly fine. You had just started to change out of your jeans and blouse when your door burst open. “Hey, MC! Let’s – GAH!!” Mammon started before turning around abruptly, hiding the blush from his face, “Sorry!!”
“Couldn’t you knock first?!” you scolded as you stood half-naked by your bed. “R-Right, I’ll just...wait outside,” he stuttered as he closed the door, thankful Lucifer isn’t standing nearby to see this. “What do want anyway?” you asked as you picked out a change of clothes from your bag. “Well, I was thinking...uh...” he replied, still flustered from seconds ago, “You know what, I think I’ll ask later.”
“You just walked in on them mid-change, didn’t you?” Leviathan teased, laughing as Mammon blushed harder. “We just got here and already you two are being troublesome,” Lucifer growled, though secretly amused at Mammon’s embarrassment. “It’s fine,” you assured, “He probably got too excited anyway.”
You opened the door to find they’ve all changed into their beach attire. Mammon has on a simple black-and-white tank top over loose black shorts with gold palm tree silhouettes; Leviathan wore a multi-shade blue muscle shirt over Goku-inspired beach shorts. Lucifer, being modest as always, decided to wear a crimson-and-black Hawaiian button down over loose black beach pants; the buttons on his blouse were half-open, revealing a hint of his bare chest underneath.
You decided to go with [choice of top] and [choice of bottom] in your favorite color(s). “I feel under-dressed compared to you guys,” you giggled. “Don’t be silly, you look good!” Mammon assured, “Not as good as me, though!”
“Seriously, stop hogging all the attention...” Levi muttered, “Any more of that and you might as well be Asmo right now.”
“Did someone call my name?” a voice floated from the first floor. You looked down over the stair railing to see Asmodeus smiling up at you. He’s already changed into a dusty pink loose top over black-and-pink Hawaiian shorts. “Beel’s already started cooking breakfast, so I thought I should call you over while it’s still hot.”
You were already rushing down the stairs as he was speaking, knowing Beelzebub would most likely already start chowing down before anyone came over.; followed him to the condominium next door. The fresh smell of bacon and eggs wafted through the air, combined with a meaty note of handmade burger patties as they sizzled in a pan. “Could someone go ahead and wake Belphie up?” Beel asked, knowing his twin had already decided to take a quick nap in his room upon arrival, “I’m almost done cooking.”
“I got him,” you offered as you headed upstairs to Belphie’s room, finding him asleep in the middle of unpacking his luggage. You gently nudged his shoulder until his violet eyes opened. “Oh...morning, MC...” he greeted sleepily, “I meant to get changed, but this bed looks so soft – I couldn’t help myself.”
“Well, get up and get changed already,” you giggled, “Breakfast is ready downstairs.” He nodded and sat up, yawning loudly as you left his room. You headed back down just in time to catch Beelzebub serving stacks of pancakes on a large plate. “Need some help?” you offered as he started carrying them to the table. “Sure, you could grab the other stack on the counter,” he replied. You looked back at the tall pile of pancakes before carefully lifting the plate; walked slowly to avoiding dropping anything.
Breakfast time is conversational as usual, though minus anything to do with RAD as per Lucifer’s request – he admitted that while he didn’t mind handling Student Council matters, it actually feels nice to not do any work for a change. “You’re telling me! Sure is refreshing to see you finally chilling with all of us,” Mammon agreed. “Kind of rare to see you all-relaxed and stuff,” Levi joined in. “Oh please,” Lucifer snickered, “I’m not always that busy.”
“Sorry we’re late!” Satan apologized as he showed up with Belphegor, “I got distracted by a new book I got.” The former had gotten into a Cuban blouse over matching pants, while the latter decided to wear a loose multi-shade indigo shirt over navy blue beach shorts; carrying his pillow as always.
After breakfast was over and all the dishes cleaned up, Mammon decided to head out to the beach to catch some surf and sun. “MC, you can come with if you wanna snap pics of me on the waves!” he offered. “If anyone’s asking for pictures to be taken, that’d be me...” Asmodeus countered, “After all, I’m the best-looking one here.”
“Wait, are we actually going outside?” Leviathan asked, “Like outside-outside under the sun and feet on the sand?”
“There’s nobody else but us in this resort,” Lucifer replied, “I made sure to book this weekend just for ourselves.” His assurance calmed him down. “I got the ice cream!” Beelzebub called out as you all head out of the condominium, balancing the tubs in one arm and carrying a sleeping Belphegor on the other. “How does he keep falling asleep most days...” Satan sighed.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Lucifer and Satan relaxed on a couple of lounge chairs, one reading a book and the other napping with sunglasses over his eyes. “Alright, surf’s up!” Mammon called as he ran towards the shore carrying his surfboard, “MC, make sure you got your D.D.D. up taking a video!”
“Already am!!” you called back as you ran after him, “Go catch that wave!!” Leviathan sat in one of the nearby bamboo huts already gaming away, headphones blaring music loud enough for anyone near him to hear it. Asmodeus settled in another, licking a Popsicle Beelzebub handed him to combat the heat. Belphegor eventually woke and looked up from his pillow to see you standing on the shore, water lapping your knees.
Mammon pulled himself further into sea before standing up on his surfboard as the wave began to build up. “Watch this! The Great Mammon is gonna ride the biggest wave of all -!” he boasted before he slipped, yelping as he splashed backwards into the water as his balance gave out. “Instant Wipe Out!!” Leviathan called out, pausing his game just to laugh hard, “Lol, you suck!”
You couldn’t help laughing yourself as Mammon dragged himself out of the water, soaked head to toe making his clothes cling to his muscular body. “Sh-Shut up, I slipped...” he argued, unable to fight a blush forming on his face. You were about to say something to him when something on the water caught your attention.
It was far off, but you could see a boat – a catamaran, to be specific. White sails trimmed with blue and purple lines catching the wind as it floated gracefully on the waves; the boat’s body had a name painted on the side. A name that you barely remember -
“MC?”
Mammon’s voice snapped you back to reality. “You okay? You were staring off into nothing for a few seconds.”
“I saw a boat...” you trailed off as you looked back at the water, noticing the catamaran was gone. “A boat?” Mammon asked, “But there’s nothing out there – maybe the heat’s getting to you.” You felt him pull you away to seat you under some shade; left to grab some ice cream to cool you both.
‘I know I saw it...’ you thought, ‘But where did it go?’
Mammon caught you staring out the sea again, this time deep in thought. “MC, are you okay?” he asked, concern laced in his voice. You turned to him and smiled. “I’m peachy!” you replied, “You’re right, I’m probably just seeing things.”
He chuckled and handed you your ice cream before sitting and eating his ice cream next to yours. You were staring off again after a while, this time worrying him. “I’m alright, really...” you assured, unaware Lucifer woke up hearing your voice shake for a second. “You could head inside for a bit,” the eldest brother suggested, “I understand not all humans could handle the heat.”
You decided not to argue and headed back to the condominium on your own, unaware the rest of the brothers are now getting more than concerned for you. “I don’t think it’s the heat getting to them...” Satan spoke.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
That night, you were strangely silent during dinner. “MC, is something wrong?” Leviathan asked, “You were all smiles earlier today and now you seem...down.” You put on your best smile and assure him that you’re just tired. “In fact, I think I’ll just go to bed,” you added before excusing yourself. Mammon was about to follow you but got stopped by Asmodeus, the latter shaking his head.
As soon as you closed the door to your room, the pain in your chest grew heavier. You recognize that boat. You remember all the memories you had about it. Memories that you decided to bury in the deep corners of your mind. “Hey, MC?” Belphegor called from the other side of the door, “Are you sure you’re okay?”
“I’m fine...” you replied, quickly wiping away any tears as he let himself in. He found you seated on your bed staring out the window; sat close and gently draped his arm around you. “Were you crying? Your eyes look puffy... he pointed out. “Just something in my eye – probably some sand or an eyelash,” you answered.
He decided not to push you any further and planted a kiss on your forehead. “Alright, just holler out if you need company,” he said before getting up. “Thanks...” you whispered as he left.
Sleep was the last thing on your mind, however. So as soon as you felt the brothers had turned in for the night, you quietly left your room and silently padded down the stairs, taking care not to make the door squeak as you headed out. You then made your way back to the beach, the cool night air feeling refreshing on your skin as the salty sea air hit your nostrils. You eventually reached the shore and stood silently, eyes scanning the horizon hoping you’d see that white catamaran again.
“...where are you...” you asked no one in particular.
“Who are you talking to?” a familiar voice asked from behind you. You gasped and saw Lucifer standing a short distance away from you. Besides the fact he looks tired from getting up this late, there was also a hint of worry behind those crimson eyes. “As for why am I out here, I heard you sneaking out,” he explained, “So you can either explain what happened to your mood earlier this afternoon, or I could make you talk.”
You sighed and looked back towards the sea. “There is a reason why I haven’t been to the beach in a long time,” you started, “But I doubt you’d be interested to hear me out.”
“Try me,” he countered, seeing you reveal a small glass bottle with a rolled up piece of paper inside. “When I was a kid, the only family I had was my father...” you began
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
You were 10 years old.
You and your father were preparing for another fishing trip for the weekend; loading up supplies on his white catamaran, Angelus Gloria. The weather station said there was gonna be a storm coming in, but neither of you paid any attention as you were both risk takers. “Do you think we’d get a huge catch this time?” you asked as you jumped onto the deck. “We’ll see, kiddo!” he replied, untying the boat from the harbor as you began to set sail.
Unfortunately the storm was much worse that you anticipated. “Hang on!!” he called out as the catamaran rocked and swayed precariously on the rough seas. You couldn’t tell which was louder: your screaming or the boat suddenly splitting apart from being tossed onto some rocks.
The next thing you knew you were tossed overboard, body hitting the freezing cold water hard. Luckily you could swim and immediately grabbed onto the first floating item your hands brushed against – an inflatable raft that your father had hastily prepared moments ago. You climbed in and clung for your life, calling out for your father as thunder clapped overhead. “Dad!!” you screamed, tears mixing with the salt water splashing around you. You eventually exhausted yourself and passed out, curled up alone on the raft.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
“I was eventually rescued the next morning,” you continued, “But when I told the coast guard that my father could still be out there, they told me they couldn’t find any trace of that boat.”
“Earlier today, Mammon told me that you claimed to see a boat on the water,” Lucifer pointed out, “Was that it?”
You nodded. “I remember those sails; I remember what she looked like,” you explained, “So when I saw her, I thought my father has finally come back.” Tears began to form but you quickly wiped them before they could fall. “But it couldn’t be for real, right? I know the boat was destroyed during that storm, but a part of me kept wishing that somewhere out there my father is still alive; just taking his time to return to me.”
You looked down at the tiny message bottle in your hands. “Since then, whenever I was at a beach I’d stand at the shore; stare out all night hoping to see those beautiful sails.” You forced yourself a smile, but almost immediately felt it turn into a frown. “And every night, I’d prepare a bottled message and send it out to the ocean, hoping he’d at least find one and learn I’m still waiting.”
Lucifer quietly walked closer and gently hugged you from behind. You couldn’t hold back anymore and let the tears out, sobbing and sniffling before falling to your knees; he didn’t miss a beat and fell with you, holding you tighter. “It’s alright, let it out...” he whispered, slowly turning you towards himself to comfort you.
“I’m sorry...” you whimpered, “I didn’t want you to see me like this...”
“You shouldn’t be bottling up your emotions,” he countered, stroking your back; assured you he doesn’t mind you crying into his chest. He stayed in that position until you calmed down; gently wiped away your tears. “Feeling better?” he asked.
You nodded; standing back up with him as you clutched the bottle to your chest. “Hey Dad...” you started, “Sorry I haven’t been around for a long time, but...I just needed space. I just hope my message reaches you, wherever you are.” You then stepped out further, the water lapping around your ankles as you crouched and released the bottle; watched it float away with the tide. “I just hope one day...” you continued, “We’d meet again – even if it’s in another life.”
As soon as the bottle disappeared into the horizon, you let Lucifer lead you back inside; allowed him to tuck you back into bed before retiring to his room.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
“You’re all smiles again today,” Leviathan pointed out as you helped him cook breakfast, “Did something happen?”
You giggled and smiled. “Nothing for you to worry about,” you assured as you served up some french toast. “Well, at least you’re back to normal,” Mammon laughed as he poured himself some coffee, “Just don’t get us all worried again – especially me!”
“Must it always be about you?” Asmodeus chimed in, “But I agree – you’re looking much better today, MC.”
“I think we should have a barbecue lunch by the beach today,” Satan suggested, “The weather’s nice out and you don’t get this back in Devildom, so wouldn’t it be a waste if we don’t get to experience that?”
“I feel more like going for a swim,” Beelzebub agreed, “But sure, an outdoor barbecue will beat that any day.”
“You and your love of food...” Belphegor chuckled, “Keep at it and I may get as hungry as you!”
Lucifer nodded in agreement, but secretly still a bit concerned in regards to what happened last night. It was confirmed when you all then headed out and he caught you staring out at the ocean again...but this time with a smile.
Maybe this little beach vacation wouldn’t be so bad after all.

Mythology Diner: Toronto Vegan Eats
Momo and I decided to check out Doomies’ and Doug McNish’s new hot vegan restaurant - Mythology Diner. It’s located right beside Doomies on Queen St W, and has been raved about all over social media for its vegan takes on classic diner dishes. It took us quite a while to get there because we missed our highway exit and got stuck behind a major accident on the DVP. So we were quite hangry when we arrived, and not-surprisingly, there was a LOOOONG wait. We waited about 90 minutes, but they took our number down and texted us when our table was ready. When we returned, we were sat at the bar. It would have been nice if they had asked if this was okay, but I understand that they were busy. Luckily the bartender was super nice, and she recommended a nice Hawaiian style beer for Momo. Since I don’t drink, I had the Floral Fizz, which was absolutely delicious. Lemon, lavender, and soda water.
Tumblr media
The Reubenator is a menu item I’ve seen a lot of pictures of online, so I made sure to try that. Usually when Momo and I go out, he lets me pick his entree. Knowing he loves burgers, I thought we were going to go with Doug’s Burger and The Reubenator. But the people sitting next to us had the Tempeh Fish and Chips, and Momo was set on getting that with a beer. We also shared the honey garlic boneless wings as our starter.
Tumblr media
We absolutely loved the boneless wings. The flavour was great and the texture was perfect. It was a mock meat that wasn’t too realistic. It had a toughness on the outside and a slight chew on the inside.
Tumblr media
The Reuben was extremely scrumptious and juicy. Along with the meatless meat, it was paired with sauerkraut which cut through all the fattiness. Although it was delicious, it was a little over-greasy for my liking. The fries were top-notch as well.
Tumblr media
I hate to say this, but the tempeh fish and chips were underwhelming. I found the batter to be perfect, although, again, a little too greasy but that’s what you should expect with a fried “fish” and chips. The tempeh was not as flavourful as I would have expected, but the texture overall was great. The tartar sauce and mushy peas helped a lot with adding flavour. I also had to ask the bartender for more lemon wedges to squeeze over the tempeh. Quite disappointed with this dish to be honest, but I commend Chef Doug for his innovation!
Overall, it was nice to go out and enjoy a meal with Momo. I think I prefer Doomies to Mythology, but I would consider going again to try new menu items. Momo and I both agreed that we might not be as into “dirty” vegan food as we used to be. I think we have moved on to eating more whole foods, especially with Momo having IBS. But it is nice to indulge every now and then!

Entry 193
“Let us off here.” I ordered, not wanting to get too close to the triangle yet.  Turning to James, I said, “I know Mila can take care of herself, but we’d stick out like a sore thumb in such a fancy car.  Probably should do something about your clothing as well.”
James nodded, but seemed lost in thought.  Then he shivered as if the cold just cut through his clothes.
“Oh!  If you’re cold, we can get you a hoodie like mine.  No offense, but even your hair is a bit too clean cut for this area.” I warned him.
“So says the girl with perfect white hair and skin.” he teased.
Grinning, I said, “Thank you!  You wouldn’t believe how paranoid I’ve been about it lately.  Everyone at your place is so beautiful.  I sometimes wonder if you even notice me.”
I hadn’t meant to admit quite that much, but I was flying high on James’ compliment.
“There is a thrift shop just ahead on the right, master, if you do wish to change.” stated Mila as she displayed text for me to read.  She also displayed a map for us, showing where we were and the simple path to take.  “I’ll remain here and care for anything you wish to take off.”
“Okay.  Thank you, Mila.” replied James just before stepping out.
If he said anything else, she didn’t show me, so I quickly hopped out of the car to follow him.  His long strides carried him quickly ahead, but I kept up easily enough, half-jogging at times to close the gap.
I knew this store, having passed it numerous times.  A sense of nostalgia swept of me as I looked around.  Not so long ago, I came to stores like this relatively often, needing the cheapest clothes I could get when my clothes were too badly damaged to patch up.
“Oh!  Try this on!” I exclaimed, noticing a very colorful, Hawaiian-style shirt.  I didn’t really want James to buy it, but I wanted to see him in it.
He agreed, sliding the shirt over his own before looking in the mirror.
I grinned as I watched him.  He looked so ridiculous.  “I think that might make you stick out even worse!” I teased, helping him out of the shirt.
I found several more obnoxiously bright shirts for him to try, and I love how he smiled as he tried each.  He seemed to be enjoying himself.  Then he found a gigantic, black hoodie.  I wondered how wide the previous owner was when the hoodie hung loosely on James.
“I’ll just get this.” he told me as he examined himself.
I wanted to stop him, suggesting anything else to have a bit more fun, but I shrugged instead.  The hoodie hid his expensive shirt and hung low enough to cover the brand of his jeans.  If he was happy with how he looked, I couldn’t argue.
“Let’s just hope no one looks too hard at your feet.  Since I don’t recognize that brand, it’s gotta be expensive.” I cautioned.
James smiled and shrugged.  He knew what his clothes were like.  As I walked toward the triangle, he followed.  I tried thinking of something to say, but he started texting before I managed to come up with something he’d find interesting.  When he looked up again, he seemed startled, glancing over his shoulder and back in front of him quickly.  I walked ahead, glancing back to make sure he was following again.  He was.
How did this place look to James?  He lived in such an enormous, well-kept house in a beautiful neighborhood.  What did he think of people who lived like this?  Did he realize that an area similar to this is where he would have found me a year ago?
I stopped, glancing back at him as he tapped my shoulder.
Pointing, he said, “I just heard glass break.  I think from over there.”
I nodded.  I would have glanced down the alley anyway, but now I knew someone was probably there.  I frowned and turned down the alley after seeing a large man on the ground.  James fell behind when I turned off, but he hurried to catch up now.  I quickly moved to catch him as he slipped.
Seeing that the man was still breathing, I started feeling the man’s pockets, looking for a wallet.  James tapped my shoulder again, so I turned toward him.
“What are you doing?” he asked.
“Finding out where he lives.” I replied.  “How else are we going to get him home?”
“But what if he’s injured?  Should we get him to a hospital?” asked James as I pulled a wallet from the guy’s back pocket.
“Most of the people in this area don’t want to end up in a hospital for anything minor.  He probably just slipped like you.  Can’t you smell the alcohol?” I asked.
There was even part of a bottle still in the man’s hand.  Having seen his address on the ID in the wallet, I slipped Louis’ wallet back into his pocket and lifted him up.  James looked surprised.
“Care to give me a hand?” I asked him.
He nodded and hunched down to put Louis’ arm over his shoulders as I had done.  James struggled a bit as we walked the block, readjusting his position several times.  Being that tall apparently was a disadvantage at times like this.
When we reached the right address, I knocked on the door.  An older woman answered the door, probably Louis’ grandmother.
“Oh!  What happened to my Louis?” she asked.
I glanced over to James, but he was already talking.  I couldn’t really see what he was saying past Louis.
The woman shook her head, looking glum as she looked at Louis.  What had James told her?
Motioning to follow her, she said, “Well, get him in here.  Good Lord knows we don’t want the neigh-...”
I had no idea what she was saying now that her back was to us, but I followed till she stopped and pointed at the couch.  I followed James’ lead positioning Louis on the couch.  A young boy came running into the room, staring at Louis the moment he was in the room.
“Is he dead?” asked the boy.
I shook my head as the lady seemed to be saying something.
Turning to us, she then said, “Well, you two sit right there, and I’ll dish you up some pie.  Louis will want to thank you when he comes around.”
I nodded and took a seat, not wanting to offend her.  I tried not to laugh when I noticed how uncomfortable James seemed.  Had he ever been in a house this small?  I wondered what he would have done if the place wasn’t as well-kept, somewhat of a rarity in neighborhoods like this.
The lady came back with two plates and handed me one, saying, “Here you are.  Now I baked that myself.  Bought…”  She turned to walk around over to James, leaving me clueless as to what she was saying.  She smiled wide after giving James his plate.  Looking surprised, she said, “Oh, heavens, I forgot to introduce myself.  My name’s Edna.  Now who might you be?”
“James.  Meeting you is a pleasure.” he told her, holding up his hand to shake.
I quickly set down my plate as Louis moved.  Standing and touching his shoulder, I said, “Easy.  You hit your head.”
He stared up at me and said, “Are you an angel?”
I smiled, having had this happen before.  “You’re home.” I assured him.
 “Gran-gran?” he asked.
I turned to see if she responded.
“Who else would be in our house taking care of our guests?” she asked.
I backed up, so I could  see them both more easily.
“What happened?  Who are you two?” he asked.
“Sorry.  I’m James.” replied James, holding out his hand again.
“I’m Portentia.  We found you in the alley back there.” I explained.
 “Alley?” he asked.
 “You drunk fool.” stated Edna.
“Drunk?  Nah, gran-gran.  I was buying you more eye medicine.  Smell my breath.” he told her.
“I can smell you from here.” she stated.
James quickly said, “He was on top of a shattered bottle.”
“I didn’t smell anything on his breath.” I assured her.
“Oh.  Now that’s a good boy.  You sit there, and I’ll get you a slice of pie.” she told him.
“Thanks for getting me back.  Sorry if gran-gran’s pushing you around.” he told us.  Looking to the door, he said, “What kind of question is that?  Boy, you better learn yourself some manners!”
I looked to the doorway to see the young boy smiling.
“Portentia’s deaf.  That’s why she often signs thing as she speaks.” explained James.
“Care to learn something?” I asked.
He grinned at me and said, “Sure!”
Demonstrating as I spoke, I told him “This is how you say ‘grandmother’ in sign language.”
“My word, aren’t you just precious.” stated Edna as she walked in with Louis’ pie.
Not much later, James and I were playing board games with them.  Edna insisted, saying that James and I might keep her grandsons honest.  The game took quite a while and we all ended up in the poor farm, but James seemed to be having fun.  Despite Louis wanting another game, James and I excused ourselves when Edna left for work.  We had more to do out there!

My vegan list :)
Vegans (And those of us looking to or are making a positive enough impact) rejoice for even though this list (Starts after the next paragraph) has lots of stuff and covers pretty much if not every craving you are likely to have, this is a very basic/small list of all the vegan stuff that is actually out there, and to the best of my knowledge all of this info is correct, but if by any chance I have made any errors, please let me know (Note: At the end of this list, I do have a sustainable option of non veganism as well that can work if enough people get on board, and could encourage a lot more people to make a positive enough impact as well :)
From the Middle of 2017 till 2018 March 6th I was vegan, then on March 6th 2018 I decided to be an expert Flexitarian, then on the 1st of April 2018 I decided to nearly go back to the way I was before I was a vegan. I don’t know about where you guys live but here the speciality items, the imitation items and such are just getting too expensive and I am so fuckin’ poor that I would have to practically dare I say it, get into poor health and possibly die to keep on this path with my nutritional/specific needs, plus, I can’t afford a car or the insurance for it even if I could drive, I live an an old bachelor/studio apartment in one of the rougher areas, and on top of being fairly sensitive to sunlight I am ever more so with cigarette smoke and suffer many allergic reactions to it, and guess what, there’s more then enough of that second hand crap going on around here and it effects my mind, who I am, and my debt, don’t even ask, and, yeah, I kind of want to stay healthy and live… if I ever win the lottery or let lucky enough I will go back to being a vegan in a…heartbeat. When I was briefly an expert Flexitarian I though that if I ate as if everyone on earth or close to it were vegan then what would be humane, as in animals living their full lifespan/etc, you will see my all my reasonings at the end of this list. Suffice to say, living in that world, even though I know I’m in this one, and my flawed logic (Liver is a small part of a life form so having a big pig out on that as oppose to like maybe a small piece/slice once a year, I might as well just say the whole creatures life was for that particular kind of flesh/meat/food, and so on like that) + excitement took a backtrack because of this, but, in my dreams, well, I got quite the wake up call, and I will never consume any honey or fish, same with cheese, creams, butter, margarine as they are made from like 5% or less of the milk (5% milk/5% fat) or other stuff that is just too much of a strain for far too little gain, so adjustments will have to be made and knowledge shared :)
VEGAN LIST:
These are suppose to be the best of the best with none of the plant based substances present that can cause adverse effects such as "Lectins & Phytic acid" (Just to name a couple), so these 7 vegan subs should allow for a vegan diet to still have all the benefits of a non-vegan one:
1)Source Naturals, Vegan Omega-3s EPA-DHA, 300 mg, 30 Vegan Softgels
2)Doctor's Best, Vegan D3, 2,500 IU, 60 Veggie Caps (If you have little to no UV exposure)
3)Deva, Vegan, B12, Sublingual, 90 Tablets
4)Nature's Plus, Hema-Plex, 60 Fast-Acting Vegetarian Capsules
5)Solaray, Zinc Copper, 100 Veggie Caps
6)Thorne, Iodine & Tyrosine, 60 Vegetarian Capsules
7)Pure Vegan, Cal/Mag, 180 Veggie Caps
With these pills, you are most likely to eventually figure out what you need (Your body craves) each day and you may not even know how much you need something and how much better it can make you feel mentally/emotionally/physically until you’ve had it and/or the right portions, and depending on how you body is, it can change from day to day, so take the ones that make you feel best, after consulting with your doctor about these pills first, just to be on the safe side.
Meat:
Don’t be fooled by the word veggie, these are actually pretty good tasting meat substitutes - granted they are not meat, but if it wasn’t for them, I would most likely be having more then 14 pounds or less a year, as I have really, really fierce cravings for it when the urges hit, so for me, I am giving myself a huge pat on the back for what I am doing, I love animals/life greatly and I am doing what I can, again, these subs are really quite tasty and I’m pleasantly surprised by them:

A few of the many fast food joints in Canada:
Chinese food:
Sweet-and-sour sauce, Vegetable spring rolls, Vegetable steamed dumplings, Hot or cold sesame noodles, Salad with ginger or sesame dressing, Noodles and Rice, Veggie chow mein, Tofu chow mein, Steamed/plain rice (No eggs mixed in), Vegetable fried rice (No eggs mixed in), Tofu fried rice [(No eggs mixed in) & with rices and other items you can add stuff like garlic or whatever], Garlic tofu, General Tso’s tofu, Sweet-and-sour tofu, Cashew tofu, Tofu and broccoli, Mapo tofu (Specify no pork since traditionally this dish is cooked with it.), Mongolian tofu, Orange tofu, Kung Pao tofu, Vegetables, Steamed vegetables with a side of sesame sauce, Sautéed green beans and Garlic eggplant, fresh fruits and veggies :)
It is random but certain CF places here in Canada will do other practises that will make any number of these items non vegan, so just ask to make sure that there is no beef/pork/chicken broth or oyster/fish sauce, no bonito flakes to flavour any salads/dressings/soups, and for them not to use any non-vegan stuff from their signature stock to enhance the flavour of a dish (The boiling of bones/meat/prawn shells etc) and not to cook anything in lard and/or beef/chicken/fish oil/broth :)
Pizza joints:
if I were to have them without cheese or just make my own vegan cheese substitutes, then places that can make their pizzas vegan include: Blaze, Cici’s, Domino’s, Little Caesars, Mellow Mushroom, Papa John’s, Pizza Hut, Pizza Nova, Pizza Pizza [Has introduced Violife vegan cheese to its menu, so just ask for a violife vegan pizza (With your desired toppings) and your good to go + there are rumours that there may be other pizza joints that are thinking of adding vegan cheeses to their menu], PizzaRev, Pyramid Brewers-Margherita Pizza, Taco Bell-Mexican Pizza, zpizza-Berkeley Vegan Pizza, etc) and have crusts and sauces that are vegan (Be sure to ask) and also ask them not to add any sour cream or creams, and apparently pizza without cheese/vegan subs are still really tasty with extra sauce, red peppers, beans, garlic, onions and mushrooms in it’s place, but of course these toppings would be even better still with good vegan cheese.
Burgers and fries:
Newyork fries (Fries), McDonalds Fries & Hash browns, The Veggie burgers and fries from the A&Ws & Burger Kings are also vegan (Just don’t get any Onion rings on your Burger King burger, and as for Harveys most of there locations fries are vegan but some cook them in the same friers as the chicken nuggets and their soy based patty burger is also vegan (Oh Canada :)
Taco Bell:
Bean Burrito (minus non-vegan cheese), Cinnamon Twists
Tim hortons:
Savoury Potato Wedges, Hash Browns, Bagels (Plain, 12 grain, everything, cinnamon raisin, sesame seed, poppy seed, blueberry, pretzel and onion), Harvest Vegetable Soup, Oatmeal, Garden Veggie Sandwich (No Cream Cheese), Garden Salad, Bread, There is rumours going around that their iced caps and other dairy options (Including my fav. “Creamy Chocolate Chill”) may have vegan subs if more demands for that option are met.

For today’s vegans that are craving meats and dairy (Or those that are curious), it may still be a little while yet, but were getting there (Scientists have already created bacon and hamburger meat from a harmless procedure of taking stem cells from said creatures, plus a lab created pizza that can be custom made to fit a persons daily nutritional needs while still tasting delicious, aaand researchers at Oregon State University were pleasantly surprised to find that, after working two decades with a seaweed species bred to feed abalone, they discovered that they were actually dealing with a delicious seaweed superfood called dulse that tastes like bacon when it’s fried).
Non vegan sustainability options - Feel free to correct me if any of this is incorrect, it was very, very difficult for me to find and I tried to insure that it was accurate + I left my old thoughts here too as they are all part of the journey:
The first one - the 7.5bil people scenario (If almost everyone to everyone is on board) is truly cruelty free, and you will see why after this paragraph - Hopefully : My little blurb before the list: From the middle of 2017 then doing more then enough to became an expert Flexitarian starting March 6th 2018, but I will never, ever, go to any levels below that, never, and here’s why (Just to give fair warning, these 2 videos are very, and I mean very graphic/real/powerful/Informative/etc to say the least, and they are true eye openers - As for the second one, it is a short 67second clip of deep spiritual proportions - the icing on the cake and you may want to turn the volume up on that one as it is rather low - oh, and a tasty little tidbit for all you fellow youtubers out there - While you are watching a video on youtube, you can cause that video to automatically loop and you can set it to do so at whatever part of the vid you want by changing “www.youtube.com” to “www.youtubeloop.net” (Again, while you are already watching that vid on youtube) - The vid will loop automatically right off the bat after entering it either once or twice as sometimes it does not register the first time, and there are 2 orange arrows below the vid that you can use to keep looping whatever part you want - Works for all youtube vids):

When I was completely meat, dairy and harmful ingredients free I had no meat/dairy/etc (Just the rare mistake/error though). Anyways, after doing some research on how much dairy and meat products would be humanly available per person if nearly everyone or everyone in the world were to become vegan/humane as an expert Flexitarian could have that stat if said scenario happened - the 7.5bil people one (Animals dying of natural causes/etc and humanly keeping natures balance in cheque and so on). Once I got my answer, since I like to try and live my life in a theoretical world that is (As far as I am concerned) doing things right, I am going to consider treating myself every now and again, once I get my answer (Such as, a massive “pig"out of beef rice with extra beef and sweet and sour spear ribs and sweet and sour chicken balls twice a year (Roughly 36grams per sweet and sour chicken ball, roughly 21grams/small-37grams/large per sweet and sour spear rib) - Birthday and new years - who knows, maybe I’ll be able to have a few more sides of whatevs as well with this scenario in mind + 1 slice of bacon is around 25grams so I’ll have a few slices of that on special occasions also:)
Well, it’s quite amazing really. If everyone (Or close to it) became vegan now or in the not too distant future, and made their yards/properties bee friendly, if a fair number of families had lets say 2 hens each (Which could be done, especially with today’s methods/feeds/etc - The average hen can produce 1 egg roughly every 26 hours, sometimes taking 2-3 days for an egg, and although they do eat meat, love insects and mice/etc, they can still get all their proteins/etc from specialised plant feeds - The egg production can be reduced to around 80-150/year if balances are off and result in health problems and for temperatures, lighting, whether/etc), and made the available land/earth nature friendly and the likes, leaving the areas that had or still have rich enough diversity/etc alone. The estimates say that this would be possible for each person on earth to do without causing harm to the environment, or suffering to creatures/etc (Also keeping into account having enough of the carnivores/etc in the food chain to keep things healthy all around).
What would be allowed/humane with letting all the creatures live full wonderful lives with the best feeds/etc, only being put down before their time if they are too injured/etc.                                                                                                      - (100% Meat/best of the best, same for everything else, meat or otherwise, no fillers, growth hormones, crap, and, um, well, crap/etc - The kinds of animals raised in this scenario are the kinds that will allow us to still have the products that we are familiar with but many made with different meats, to have the most meat with the least imprint - meat that is still delicious of course). Also taking into account there being far, far less waste like the outrageous amount of good food and drinks that are tossed and left to go bad when not selling + other reasons (This, people should be protesting in mass about, and putting an end to it) - Anyways, these stats are of a truly humane scenario per person with a 7.5 bil population if every last solitary person on earth did this with everything being balanced, also abandoning the previously rich areas, allowing all of the previously cut forests (that are used for non vegan food and foods in areas that were once forests/etc) that either still do or once sustained good enough to truly incredible diversity (Which is pretty much every forest/ecosystem that ever was) to be reborn/etc with us helping them out, and letting nature do what it should to make them great again and maximizing good use of the earth, ghost towns, etc, etc, etc, all land cleaned up and used properly, proper structures around the world/etc with a super healthy planet, super rich diversity, lots of forests and the whole works in all the best places - Possibly even more then what is listen below:
-Around 1½-5 pounds of non cattle and non sheep meat a year (Depending on what larger non cattle/sheep creatures you consume, including chickens & turkey) if you include having a little under a ½ pound of cattle a year (Sheep is said to be a bit worse for the environment, but I can’t find exacting stats on this). Although unknown, including rats, mice, rabbits the total can be quite a bit higher, especially if you also include insects (Interesting fact: Like good wine the taste of animals improves with age, so the older they are before they die, regardless as to whether or not they have lost body mass/etc, the tastier they will be, that is of course meat from old animals that had all the best foods/environments/no alterations/etc, and have been processed right after or soon enough after death, these meats being coveted amongst the elite) and the amount of feed and negative impact on the environment when there’s too many of them would also mean less of them to keep a global eden in cheque - People have the potential to keep on making this world far, far richer/better/etc then it has even been). [Rabbits, mice and rats alone would increase the total)/etc or any other smaller critters, including mice/rats (Despite the myths and stereotypes, they are actually quite sanitary and can make great pets) and all other smaller ones, even insects/etc that can eat more then just a small amount of meat/etc, so if all that was takin’ into account, then who knows what the total would be!!].
-2-3 extra large chicken eggs/week - The average hen will produce about 265 eggs in a year. Most hens have two productive years of egg laying then taper off as they age (Top 10 best egg laying hens are: Golden Comet & other hybrids, Rhode Island Red, Leghorn, Sussex, Plymouth Rock, Ancona, Barnevelder, Hamburg, Marans & Buff Orpington) - Like cats and many other animals when their “owners” are knowledgeable enough about them, treat them well/give them a good life, they make for excellent pets and when taken care of as part of the family. On average hens will live for around 8-12 years (Sometime around 20+), and they will lay eggs whether they are mated with a cock/rooster or not, and be sure to use Backyard Vegetarian Layer Mash or other organic/vegan based feeds, ones that will meat, er, sorry, meet all of their nutritional needs/etc. Caring, less stress, good environments/conditions more often then not also leads to better/more eggs. Egg sizes for stores (Super Jumbo 77g/2.75oz or more, Jumbo 70g/2.50oz, Extra Large 63g/2.25oz, Large 56g/2.00oz, Medium 49g/1.75oz, Small 42g/1.50oz, Peewee 35g/1.25oz, Petite peewee 28g/1.00oz or less).
-37-48 grams of solid milk Chocolate worth/week (If you eat these or other stuff with milk/bars and still drink milk just subtract the total of said item from the milk you drink as well). I will have some chocolate for Easter (A solid milk chocolate bunny around 120grams), Thanksgiving (2 small chocolate Turkeys totalling around 50grams or less), Birthday (McCain chocolate cake) & Christmas (A Terry’s chocolate orange). Every now and again a chocolate bar. Note for bars, make sure there’s no butter, Milk fat, cream in the ingredients list, but having cocoa butter is good to go, I like big turk bars - They have a chocolate coating, that way, getting lots more bar, meaning lots more yum.
-W/O chocolates (Just milk), around 57ml of milk each week (I won’t drink any "around 57ml/week, what’s the point, the rest of it would just end up going baaaaaahd, besides, unless there was enough people drinking it - lolz”, besides, I’ve actually grown quite fond of the chocolate soy silk anyways (The kinds with 7grams of plant protein per 250ml), but I do incorporate milk into other products that use it - chocolate bars almost always have around 12%-15% of it’s weight in milk - On average 1kg of chocolate cake has around 190ml of milk anywhere from 140ml-200ml of either butter “any cakes with butter, well, it takes 21lbs of milk to get enough of the fat to make 1lb of butter, so, um, nope, not worth it” [Butters & milks lb and ml wise is pretty much the same, but cream I am not so sure of, it depends on how thick/creamy/etc it is (Will update further if I find out), or vegetable shortening - Also ⅔ milk + ⅓ butter makes most average creams (Other ratios for thin to thick/etc)].
-Honey (Stats unknown but expected to be crazily minute), so the occasional feeds of Maple syrup it is. With a bee friendly world each person may be able to have their share of honey every now and again too though, but it’s hard to say (Like fish, in today’s world it is truly at crisis points, each bee only produces like 1/12 teaspoon of honey in it’s lifetime and it is only really humane to take honey from abandoned hives - don’t know about you but when I was a kid and teen it was common place to see several bees through the summer, but now I consider it lucky if I see about 10/year - F*** you Monsanto!!). (According to USDA reports, 2.77 million honey-producing colonies in 2016 generated 161.8 million pounds of raw honey).
-Fish (Stats unknown), a no go for me anyways due to how devastated the ocean/aquatic life/system currently is, cause we need it where if we all did such and such, things can still become paradise (for realz), live it, will it to the cosmos, project it, believe it, ee-dawn baby.
Also, for 9bil people, sustainability of meat (Same as above with 100% Meat/best of the best/etc) - Still having a really healthy planet with great diversity, plenty of forests/etc (These stats do however max out the taking/use of milk and although still very kind, they will still lead great lives but with an expiration date (When they are just old enough to make for good meat) as these stats are less generous on the types of creatures raised for meat (Based on the average percentiles of the creatures Americans consume), still making then viewed as things, and these stats allow for more production of cocoa/ingredients for chocolate), still giving these creatures good healthy lives with pretty much all the best:
Based on a world population of 9 billion, which assumes that animals are only allowed to graze on grasslands and fed by-products not related to soy, maize or other artificial feeds, still keeping all the areas where there were once forests with the exceptions of allowing the richest of forests/environments to regrow, heal/etc, and the figure they came up with was 26 grams of meat, per person, per day. For meat solely from ruminants the figure was 19 grams. 1½ large eggs pp/pd. Plus 138 grams of milk pp/pd. 57grams of solid milk chocolate pp/pd (138grams minus the milk chocolate).
So, I got thinking to myself, why should I deny myself all this just because most or all of humanity isn’t vegan (At least not yet), or deny myself of many things that a fair number of people don’t or can’t have or aren’t using properly/etc because of the flawed system/etc, if people don’t change, then the same result will happen.
I can easily be called a hypocrite or callous for this by some, or possibly even many since the world is not like this (The 7.5bil scenario), at least not yet, but on the flip side, this could convince much more people to be far friendlier in the world the way it actually is now making it even more likely for the 7.5 bil dream scenario to occur, and if anything, this will show that the world can still have it all, if done right (…don’t…let..stuff…goo…too…waste…) you know, life your life the way you want it to be lived and try to project that energy/logic into the cosmos, live in the world you want to see/live in - one that can still become a reality - feel/live that life, project that life - project that satisfaction - believe it is reality now :)
So, anyways, I can still have a cake for my birthday (No butter, cream, if possible to find) and have a slice or two of cake from everyone elses birthday too, I can still have ice cream…er…in my dreams {1 litre of “real” ice cream contains 250ml of whole milk (Straight from animal-min to no processing) or butter milk and 250ml of heavy cream with 4 egg yolks [2 full eggs (yolks and whites) can be used but the flavour will have less richness]} then too and treat myself to it every now and again as well (Same with chocolate), all that will mean is that I will not be able to actually drink any milk (Again, what would even be the point), but that’s okay, cause I still like my subs anyways :)
I am sooooo looking forward to turkey for thanksgiving (With gravy), and every now and again a nice feed of liver & onions with the occasional Maple-leaf Vienna sausages too, just to name a few things (Make sure your adding it all up though :)
BTW, I’ve heard that rats and mice actually taste so chose to chicken that it is hard to tell the difference. Sheep meet (This review was given by an anonymous expert food critic) is said to have a richer flavour with added tastes of campfire, mushrooms, nuts, a bit of a wine like flavour with some kick to it, a hint of a butter-like taste, and kind of an earthly flavour that is relatively close to a mixture of liver and iron. It is said to often be a bit of a shock to the system at first but is very tasty once one gets use to it. As for dogs, they sound absolutely delicious, tasting like a cross between extra flavourful/rich beef and mutton (Another word for sheep flesh/meat) with added extra meaty flavouring, that cooked dog meat is actually delicious with a unique/strong meaty/fragrant mouthwatering aroma. Frogs, the flavour and texture are supposedly mild and extremely agreeable. No strong odours, no strange aftertaste, they say if you tell people they are eating premium farm raised birds that have been dunked for a while in fishy seawater, with having a bit of that taste to them, that they will believe you. Cat supposedly taste like a cross between chicken (White meat only) and frog.
Lastly, science is already able to make clones and as for bringing back extinct species of flora and fauna, even making Pokemon (lolz), eternal youth, everything worthwhile being far superior and new additions/senses/abilities, immortality with being far, far superior to the DS9 changelings/etc, who know what the future will hold, but if we don’t have enough resources left to get to any number of infinite wonders beyond wonders, well, I would hate to think of such a scenario.

Where to Chow Down Around Crunchyroll Expo
Cosplay, anime, and Hime. Oh my! It's almost time for the Crunchyroll Expo! And while there will be lots to do at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, you're bound to want to get out and see more of the city, and of course, taste some of the delicious dishes San Jose has to offer!
Are you a pizza fan? A steak and potatoes kind of eater? Are you ready for some Asian cuisine or a rustic Italian dish? Whatever you're in the mood for, there's something on this list for everyone, including those who have specific dietary restrictions. Below you'll find a list of ten restaurants near the convention center, each of which can be found on this handy map. We have chosen specialty places, though if you've got the urge for some fast food, we've also got you covered. Estimated price ranges are listed whenever available, along with a quick overview of the main types of food available at each location. The most and least expensive main dishes are listed for each location, along with specialty menus, serving times, and dietary options (like vegetarian, gluten-free, and soy sensitive menus).
  China Chen
China Chen serves Asian food all day, making this establishment an option for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The restaurant advertises their Shrimp Wonton Egg Noodle Soup as a "fan favorite" and the best in the universe! They're also quite proud of their flour cakes, which they promise will be made fresh on a daily basis.
  Highlights:
Combination Chow Fun $12.50 Pan-fried rice noodles with a medley of meats and vegetables.
Fried Flour Cake Delight $8.50 Flour cake with eggs, onions, pickles, and dipping sauce.

    Dakao
Dakao is a great option for anyone needing a quick bite on the go. The restaurant offers sandwiches and fast food that you can nosh while you're out and about. Those who want a traditional dining experience can still take advantage of this establishment's fare, too. Desserts and catering options make this a great choice for parties and celebrations.

  Sandwiches $3.50
Croissant sandwich $4.50
Noodles, rice, soup, pho, fish, rolls, and more are available.
Pork, chicken, fish, vegetarian options, and more!
    Iguanas
Obviously, a place advertising something called the "Burritozilla" dabbles in burritos. But Iguanas goes a bit further than that. The restaurant serves an enormous monster of a burrito dubbed, you guessed it, the Burritozilla! Fans of Mexican food will also be happy with the wide variety of dishes available.
  Highlights:
  5-pound 18-inch Burritozilla $32.50

    La Victoria Taqueria
La Victoria, or LaVic's, as they are called in the area, advertises their popular tacos, breakfast burritos, and carne asada. But where they really shine is with their much-loved orange sauce. The orange sauce recipe is a secret, but LaVic's promises the concoction is safe for vegans and vegetarians.
  Highlights:
Burritos, tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, and more!
They also offer meat and veggie options for most types of meals.
Breakfast served between 7-11 AM.
    McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks
McCormick & Schmick's is proud of their popular bar area known for its award-winning foods. Perhaps an even bigger draw for convention-goers is the convenience factor. M&S is a short walk from the convention center and allows easy sight-seeing access to anyone looking to check out the nearby Museum of Art and Civic Auditorium. Burgers and steaks are available, but the seafood is the big draw. Chef Flores recommends the Hawaiian Bigeye Ahi Tuna, which should pair quite nicely with the establishment's oyster bar.
  Highlights

Pan-Seared Alaska Halibut $40
Bangkok Pan Noodles $12.50
  Dinner Offerings:
Twin North Atlantic Lobster Tails $46
American Kobe Style Burger $19

    Taurinus Brazilian Steak House
Taurinus is not your average steak house. The restaurant offers what they call a Rodizio style of serving, meaning the customer pays one price for their meal and are brought a variety of options throughout their experience. Taurinus offers over a dozen different kinds of meats for diners to try and employs a "traditional gaucho" cooking method involving an open fire pit.
