BH6 Month Snippets - 2/7/2025
Broke 50 pages on Young Bots and Boy Geniuses, yay! To celebrate, have some of Kicho being Kicho:
“Hiro!” “Kicho!” Hiro greeted—had to bark a laugh. “What are you wearing?” Kicho looked down at his apron like that was somehow more striking than the silly hat he was wearing. “Ms. Wower said it was important.” “You two know each other?” Wower asked. “Yeah, we’re best friends,” Hiro told her—noticed Kicho beaming at that declaration. “Oh that’s even better—Kicho, give him the rundown while I get the kids corralled? It’s about time we started,” she said, draping an apron over Hiro’s head and putting a hat on him before he could protest. “Yes ma’am.” Looked at Hiro as she hurried off. “It all looks pretty simple, we just help to hand stuff out.” “Yeah but I’m not wearing the hat,” Hiro said, tugging it off. “What’s wrong with it?” “It’s goofy looking? Why, do you like it?” “I don’t have an opinion on it,” Kicho said. “But it made Ms. Wower happy.” “You know, sometimes you have to prioritize what makes you happy too,” Hiro said, putting the hat aside. “What is it we’re handing out?” “We’re starting with this,” Kicho said, pointing. Was quiet while they walked over to the water pitchers. “And making other people happy makes me happy, does that count?” “I guess, but you have to be careful that they don’t walk all over you. Figuratively, people don’t actually push you down and walk over you. Except in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.” “You read that one?” Kicho asked excitedly. “What did you think of the ending?” Hiro blinked at him once, twice. “It suddenly occurs to me that you wouldn’t actually know how that ended beforehand.” “You did?” “Everyone does—it’s like, super-famous.”
I decided, with my first college, to take advantage of the library and catch up on reading all the classics on my to-read list, starting with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Had some fun trying to find the darn thing, only helped by the fact that the library assistant I asked had just read it and knew where to look. You know how it's always shown as some weighty tome? Forget that, the book is skinny. And one of those instances where everyone (except Kicho) knows the twist ending before ever reading it.

First let me talk about the Hope Kids
Hope Kids is a fandom I believe popped up on Tik Tok sometime early 2024. It is a crossover- similar to Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons or the Futuristic Four- featuring Mei Mei (Turning Red), Miguel (Coco), Hiro (Big Hero 6), Luca and Alberto (Luca), and Riley (Inside Out). It gained a quick spike in popularity when Inside Out 2 emerged, and from my awareness it has since kind of faded out of existence. Another thing to note is the fandom seems... almost exclusive to Tik Tok? There are people on other platforms who post about it but they are few and far in between. As someone who doesn't have Tik Tok I have had a hard time finding fellow enjoyers. Now- What is No Hope Kids?
No Hope Kids is a Hope Kids au inspired by another famous crossover au I was briefly into as a kid- Bad End Friends. I feel like Bad End Friends needs no introduction, but I will give if needed. No Hope Kids Follows Mei Mei, Riley, Miguel and Hiro as they travel across dimensional rifts in twisted versions of popular media. It will primarily focus on the main four- however I have ideas to include several other popular media (So far I plan on including Nimona, Gravity Falls, The Owl House, and Encanto).
It is a Meiley and Hiruel heavy- and because I'm trans and I said so Hiro is ftm trans.
Miguel is made dead by a group of beings known as the Balance Keepers. He is trapped in an endless land of death and the memory of him is destroyed. He wanders for a long time with his companion, Dante, trying to find a new purpose in this barren land. Eventually he starts to get into more and more otherworldly crimes. He becomes a balance breaker, and is once again on the run from the Balance Keepers. After meeting a strange old pastor in a bar, he is gifted a scythe that can cut through dimensions.
Hiro gets trapped within the In Between realm after saving Abigail. He floats in the timeless realm for what seems like thousands of years. He doesn’t age, but he deteriorates. Baymax does everything he can to save him. The only way to keep him alive was to fuse him with the electronics around him. His flesh and organs were melded into his suit, and powered by the ship that Abigail was once trapped in. But it’s simply not enough. Eventually, a new portal deep in the In Between opens up. Baymax sacrifices the rest of his power to send Hiro through the portal.
Riley was on the bus to her first big game. It was the multi school meet (if you haven’t seen my other post I know Jack about sports and hockey so just pretend this makes sense). During the ride there is an earthquake. A giant rift full of light rips through the Earth- right in front of Riley’s Bus. They plummet into the rift, most everyone on the bus succumbing to fate. All except Riley. Somehow, the magic within the rift latched onto her, saving her life, but at a cost.
Mei, after a ritual gone wrong, watches her mother die in a destroyed spirit realm. She is transformed into a painful, were-panda esque creature. One with an insatiable blood lust. Once she comes back from the ritual, three portals opens in the sky, something descending from each: A bus, a spaceship, and… a skeleton.
Mei and the gang escape. Miguel inevitably uses the scythe again, and they become a gang of multiverse-traveling, mayhem-havocing Balance Breakers.

Note: I'm making this because there's literally almost little about him.
Hiro Hamada HCs
Definitely a lot of dates in the lab instead of outside but he still likes hanging out outside of the lab.
Will literally get you whatever you want as long as he knows how to make it.
Or as long as he's able to afford it.
No matter what.
But he won't tell or present it to you like he made/bought it.
You just left your classroom and headed to your lab to do your homework. It was beside Tadashi's(which is now Hiro's but still Tadashi's) and always has been. Once you enter, Hiro would poke his head out of his lab and take quiet steps towards your lab doors before putting down the thing you wanted but in a box. He knocks on the door before dashing back into his lab, pushing Baymax who was watching the whole time back in. You look up from your book in curiosity and set your pen down before heading towards the door to see who was outside. When you open it, you found nothing until you look down to see a well wrapped box with a little flower on top. You grab the present and see that it's addressed to you before unwrapping it to find the item you've been wanting for a while. Meanwhile, Hiro sits on his beanbag with a proud smirk on his face.
He loves it when you play with his hair or wear his sweater.
He literally melts when he sees you wear it.
Baymax is concerned sometimes because of how much smiling he does when you're around.
He introduced you to his friends and they absolutely adore you. Especially, Honey Lemon and Fred.
Whenever he gets bored, he'd just pick up his phone and call you. When you answer, he'd say; "So bored. Can we hang out?"
Late night or not, he still manages to find ways to hang out with you. Online or not.
During weekends, everytime he goes down to the cafe, he'd wait for you to walk in but if you don't, he'll text you.
If you're sick on weekends, Aunt Cass will make some soup and Hiro will gift it to your parents even though they already made your food.
He'll definitely stay beside you when you're sick. If you sneeze, a tissue is already in his hand, holding it out for you to take and wipe your nose.
If he gets sick, then you'll return the favor and take care of him while Aunt Cass runs the cafe downstairs.
He won't admit he's sick and deny it all the time until he accepts it(which is after 30 minutes).
He only lets you to enter his room even when he's asleep.
When he wakes up, expect a goofy smile on this raven haired boy.
"Hey beautiful/handsome/gorgeous."
Cheesy when he's half asleep.
If you're ever scared, he'd sent Baymax over to comfort when he couldn't. If he could, then he'll go to your room and comfort you himself.
He'll probably wake up later than you but we all sleep late sometimes too so...
During weekdays, he always pick you up at your place, brings you your favorites from The Lucky Cat Cafe before walking to SFIT together.
Or you'd be the one picking him up from his place.
It depends on who's texting who to pick who up.
He loves his bags of gummy bears so you buy some more for him.
He loves you even more.
When you two have to do hero stuff, you always ride with him on Baymax when traveling.
He finds you so good-looking in your hero suit that he nearly draw you on his textbook. Trying to be like Miles Morales.
JK. Definitely draw you.
He loves to take you out on dinner dates because he found them more romantic than lab dates.
Gets seriously worried when something happens to you when you fight bad guys together.
He has magnets on your gloves and shoes like his hero suit just so he can keep you still on Baymax's back.
He loves it when you get so serious in your things like, studying, fighting, gaming, creating something. It shows that you're putting a lot of effort into it and he's proud of it.
Always gets higher score than yours in tests, and sometimes lower. Yours is around 90% all the time thanks to your scheduled study dates every time before final exams or tests. But his? 99% and 89% all the way. Sometimes you both get 100.
He loves PDA but not around Aunt Cass. He gets super flustered but so confident when she or his friends are not around.
Brags about you to Karmi to make her jealous.
Literally never stops.
He just love you so much.
Homemade ice creams!
Especially during summer break.
He wanted to make a machine for it but you prefer making them yourself.
He'll join you once he gets too hot from the heat that he stops half way making it. Just wait.
If it's too long to make, you guys would just use science to make the ice cream freeze quicker.
Has a wall for polaroids of you guys on your dates (takes one on each date).
Mostly only you guys but in some there's Baymax and/or Fred who wants to join in by photo bombing it.
Aunt Cass loves them and likes to ask Hiro which date did you guys go to while pointing at a Polaroid.
The camera is yours but he's the one to keeps the photos.
Always play co-op games with you.
Any kind.
Movie nights neither of you guys are tired.
Holds your hand in public even when doing hero stuff.
Honey Lemon will suggest you what kind of dates you two should do together.
Wasabi is a supporter. When someone is about to intervene, he'd politely ask them to leave so you and Hiro can have some quality time together.
GoGo is proud whenever Hiro makes the first move during your dates.
Tells you who he's with and where he's going to.
He wants you to trust him as much as he trusts you.
Rarely is jealous. But definitely get defensive when someone flirts with you.
If you guys ever argue, he'd be the first one to apologize and you two hug it out.
Makes you vehicle of your choice out of scrap. But no car yet. (Motorcycle, skateboard, scooter, etc)
If you love flowers, he'll buy you seeds for them and you'd give the flowers to Hiro and Aunt Cass. Little flower crowns for Mochi and Baymax, too.
If Hiro ever gets a nightmare. You'd know.
Literally.
Like, he shot up from his sleeping state from his nightmare, panting and sweating cold sweat and you'll just wake up in the middle of the night and say to yourself, "Something just happened."
He's a lot more open to you than he is to his friends.
Loves to share a sweater during winter. And he'll make sure to use the big comfy one.
He adores the view of you in the winter. It warms his heart and his face.
Comforts you whenever you're sad whether you need him or not.
You and the gang plays Just Dance at Fred's house and even- almost- got Clifford to do it.
He makes you your own mini-max that suits your personality.
Video call through your Mini-max and his Baymax if either your phones are charging.
Never sleeps on your sleepovers and ended up fighting to stay awake during the day because you wanted to hang out together.
You guys ended up sleeping in his room and on his bed anyway.
He'd keep every single present you give him because he cherish them.
You'd keep every single present of his and put them to use if they are made for it.
Matching silver necklaces.
Deep conversations on your rooftop.
Skincare together after you both turn 16.
Planning on moving to an apartment that's only a few blocks away from the Lucky Cat Cafe and your house when you turn 20.

I keep seeing people say tadashi should've been the villian in big hero 6 and it pisses me off because firstly I don't know what you saw in that movie that made you think that tadashi would EVER hurt his little brother and secondly bh6 was a story about grieving and accepting loss and being able to continue with your life after losing someone important to you and it just kills me everytime someone says tadashi should've been the villian because it makes no sense at all ever and would've been so obvious and a boring twist not to mention one that wouldn't make sense

Team Sonic’s Favorite Disney Movies! ✨👑
❥ Hello everyone! So, I was a little bored so I decided to make this lol, but I hope you enjoy! Thank you & have a good one! 🙌💕
Sonic 💙
Treasure Planet
He thinks Jim Hawkins is the coolest Disney protagonist: loves the action, the pirates, the dramatic flair of the characters, & the board! The solar board tricks are his favorite scenes! He sometimes asks Tails to make him one, but Tom says no. (Lol)
Loves the world building & even thinks about buying the original “Treasure Island,” says he will but completely forgets. Asked if there was a comic ver. or a graphic novel.
Was suspicious of Long John Silver, but adored their relationship at the end. Thinks his cyborg arm is cool!
Cars
Everyone saw this coming (lol) but Sonic adores the Cars franchise! Every single one! But prefers the first since they’re always the best ones, sings “Life is Highway” every time it comes on! Adds it to his running playlist or whenever he needs some good energy. The perfect mix of rock & country!
Wishes cars could talk after first watching this. Will sometimes go all the way to Arizona just to take a crack at running the canyons; Knuckles is the only one that knows…
Loves Cars 2! Thinks it’s hilarious but also pretty epic in its own way. Tow Mater makes him laugh every time.
Tails 💛
Big Hero 6
While the action & vibrant color schemes are amazing, he’s more interested in the advanced technology & world building. Loves Baymax & has even considered building his own version of a medical robot for Maddie’s work. But she claims they’re just fine. Tom has tried asking for a robotic housekeeper though!
Relates to Hiro Hamada a lot about wanting to prove himself as both a good friend & an inventor. Loves the passion Hiro puts into his work, but the big scene with Tadashi is a little too sad for Tails. 🥺
Cheers every time Baymax comes back! Will sometimes play the film as background noise when he’s working, or just the soundtrack.
Luca
The unique art style & colorful landscapes are what catch his eye first, until the whole sea monster bit rolls in. Loved the concept of them becoming human when dry, but sometimes doesn’t understand the science behind it. He might think a little too hard about it… 😅
Luca’s relationship with Alberto reminds Tails of him & Sonic when they met! You can guess who’s who (lol) but their hijinks with the race always make him giggle. It reminds Tails of Sonic’s antics.
Loves Luca’s want to learn & study things about the human world. Will look for a book about old Italian history or even sea creatures after he finished the movie. Every time!
Knuckles ❤️
Beauty & the Beast
Gets super into romance films after hanging out with Wade’s mom, & it’s always his first pick for family movie night! Enjoys the songs after Tom explains musicals, but Knuckles loves Belle’s endless curiosity & fearlessness. Absolutely despises Gaston though, sometimes he can’t sit through his song.
Enjoys the message of “beauty within” & loving someone for who they are, not for their appearance. If Shadow joins the family, they’re both watching this film! 😂
The ending always catches him off guard even though he knows what happens next. But the heartfelt moment between Belle & the Beast always tugs at his heart. Poor guy teared up a little when he first watched it.
Brave
Was immediately intrigued by the warrior princess! So much so he took up archery by carving his own bow & arrows. Until he used all the firewood to do so; he had to help Tom find more after that. But at least he’s a skilled archer now!
Finds the concept of a bear curse interesting, as to him bears are powerful but loving creatures. Honestly thinks it’s cool having a bear mom. He gets real invested once the action starts to kick in, & admires Merida’s valor greatly.
At one point he found a little bear cub out in the woods while training & believed it to be abandoned. Maddie flipped out when she saw it, & made Knuckles take it back home. He did & even became friends with the Mama bear.
Bonus! Shadow 🖤
Robin Hood
I imagine this was Maria’s favorite & she would always have this as an option for Shadow on movie night. A classic Disney film that also has a lot of whimsy & color, which Shadow appreciates since the main cast is so likable. Don’t tell anyone that though. 🤫
Loves romance as well & is not ashamed. Sees Marian & Robin as the perfect Disney couple since their will to be together is so strong. But sometimes wishes Maid Marian would do something other than wait for Robin, but he appreciated that pie toss! 🥧
Decided to take up archery along with Knuckles, but becomes frustrated he can’t get it right away. Eventually he gives up after attempting a trick shot on a smaller target, that being Sonic’s old baseball cap.
Finding Nemo
While Shadow loves his found family tropes, he really likes the film because of Nemo. Finds him & his little fin adorable, but enjoys Nemo’s determination to become better. Also don’t tell anyone. Especially Sonic! 😅
Finds the vibrant ocean images & setting very calming, but loves how educational it can be. With how animals work with their environment & whatnot. Especially the part with the whale, he gets so amazed but also very confused by it (lol).
Another secret is that he finds Dory funny; her little quips & funny moments usually get a small smile or even a chuckle out of him. Even her little noise effects during the jellyfish scene get him smiling! But her behavior reminds him of Maria a little bit, so he enjoys her screen time a little more.

A/N: Sorry if the title is too blunt, but that’s my take away from your ask and I’m rlly sorry u have a brother like that 😞💔

When Hiro first hears about your older brother and what he’s done it’s most likely a watered down version
Maybe you two were hanging out and you began to rant about how he’s trash and that’s all Hiro knew
But then he finds out how bad the reality is- it’s when you sneak into his room through his window using some gadgets
It’s in the middle of the night and you explain briefly what had occurred
An argument as usual had ensued and your brother was overly loud and brought up how you overact with your issues
This really surprises Hiro but he tries his best to comfort you
Especially since this time your delved deeper into what was going on and what your relationship with your brother truly is
Depending on how you are- he’d sneak down and get snacks, water, play games or watch a movie
Either way, the night ends with you two snuggled under the covers
Hiros usually flustered nature disappears at the sight of you being upset and genuinely hurt over a recurring situation
The night is quiet and the discussion sticks to a few words
However, the next morning you two wake up and head downstairs
obviously Cass is like 🤨
But she’s nicer obviously and decides to give you both some breakfast
I could also see her sending something wrong and so she lets it go but there will most definitely be a discussion later
Then you’re off to wherever you are
It’s the weekend and Hiro knows you’d want to take your mind off your brother
This was the first day of many that Hiro would do to try and cheer you up
Overall, he’s pretty protective and heavily dislikes your brother
Which is an understatement considering you hate him
And honestly? At first Hiro was shocked
He’s the same age that tadashi would’ve been and he could never imagine tadashi being anything but his wonderful self
The thought alone messes with Hiro and he truly begins to empathize with you
Knowing that your achievements are undermined just because you’re younger is insane to him
Tadashi was the complete opposite and would always push for Hiro to improve
He’s the reason Hiro even bothered going to his “nerd school”
He really wishes you could’ve experienced what it was like to have tadashi as an older brother but we’re in the now so he decides to just be there
Whether it’s letting you stay over or bringing you stuff
He tried his best
As well as Cass, eventually the two of you have to explain and she’s more than ok wiht you staying over
Of course with ground rules but they’re easy to follow
Even as his hero persona he’s more than protective and sure he has to help people regardless of
But if he ever runs into your brother, best believe he’s having Baymax fly like 1000 feet into the air and be like “oh sorry it was necessary “
And just be a bitch in total but it’s justified
Might be an over exaggeration but let’s be real
Hiro gets real protective over those he loves and you’re no exception

“Mitsu, come on. Mitsu, don’t.” You tighten your grip on her arm and pull harder, even though she’s drunk in six-inch heels and could topple over if the wind blows the wrong way. “It’s not worth it –”
“You hear that, you piece of shit? It’s not worth it.” Mitsuko’s imitation of your de-escalation tone isn’t as good as Tenko’s, but it sounds pretty bad when she’s using it to jeer at a couple of sidekicks. “Just like you and your fucking friends decided that my best friend’s life wasn’t worth it –”
“Mitsu –”
“When you left her under an apartment building one of you knocked down for six fucking hours!”
“We weren’t even there,” one of the sidekicks shouts at her, and Mitsuko spits at him. “Ugh! You crazy bitch –”
You suck in a breath, and so does everybody else. This fight has drawn a crowd, and you see at least one phone out, one camera on. Someone’s just caught a hero on camera cursing out a grieving civilian. You see the hero blanch. He turns towards Mitsuko. “I didn’t mean –”
“No, you said what you meant. You’re all the same,” Mitsuko sneers. “So big and bad, except when it counts. Fuck you.”
Mitsuko has a flair for the dramatic, even when she’s so drunk she can’t see straight. She turns to you. “Come on. Get me out of here before I puke on my shoes.”
You hustle her off down the sidewalk, leaving the crowd and the heroes behind, cursing yourself for letting this happen. It was your job to keep an eye on Mitsuko tonight, to keep her out of trouble, and now she’s on camera starting shit with a hero. Now that you think about it, so are you. Nobody’s going to remember you, not when Mitsuko’s there, gorgeous even with supposedly waterproof mascara running down her face, but it’s not a good thing. There are probably a grand total of eight people who think it’s a good thing, and you’re on first name (or code-name) terms with all of them.
Mitsuko comes to a stop, doubles over – then straightens up. “I need to pee,” she says. “Let’s go to Kamino. I want to pee on that statue.”
“Kamino’s a long way away. You sure you want to hold it that long?”
“Right. I should find a place to pee now,” Mitsuko says. “Then by the time we get to Kamino, I’ll have to pee again.”
There’s no way you’re letting Mitsuko get filmed peeing on a statue of All Might, no matter how much of a kick your new friends would get out of it. You take a deep breath and pull out the big guns. “Is this really how you want to honor Hiro? You know watersports weren’t her thing.”
Mitsuko snorts, then grimaces. Stomach acid in the sinuses will do that. “There’s only one way to honor Hiro,” you continue, “and you know what it is.”
“What is it?”
“Bone Endeavor, film it, and use the tape to ruin his life.”
Mitsuko bursts out laughing. Then crying. You’ve been seeing that a lot lately, anywhere and everywhere – on friends, patients, strangers, and more often than not, on your own face in the mirror.
Japan is reeling from the Kamino incident. You’re not watching world news, but you’re pretty sure the world is doing the same – it’s not every day that a country’s Number One hero goes down on national television. The wreckage of Kamino Ward has already been resurfaced, some of the remaining buildings reinforced but the rest knocked down to create a nice big concrete square for the Kamino Memorial Park, complete with a big statue of All Might. The All Might statue takes up most of the space. The walls featuring the names of the victims are off to the sides. New names are still being added every day.
The windows still haven’t gotten fixed at your clinic, and in addition to a dust and street debris problem, you’re having an animal problem. You chased a bat out with a broom and wound up needing rabies shots, which left you well-equipped to deal with the raccoon that showed up a week later. You’re working a lot, for a lot of reasons. It keeps you out of your apartment during the day or night, leaving it safe for the League’s use. You need the money. And as long as you’re busy with work, with the extra classes in trauma treatment you’ve started taking, or trying to keep Mitsuko from self-destructing, you don’t have to think about what happened at all.
Kazuo’s been keeping busy, too, but your other friends don’t have that option. Mitsuru’s job was in Kamino, in a business that was destroyed, and he doesn’t have a new one yet. Ryuhei hasn’t worked in a while, courtesy of his record, and Yoshimi’s so sick from her treatments that she can’t work at all. In spite of that, Mitsuko’s still the one you’re most worried about. She was closest to Hirono. She’s always had a lot of anger – like you, except you bury it so deep that you sometimes forget it exists. She doesn’t forget. And right now she thinks she doesn’t have anything to lose.
You and Mitsuko were supposed to have a wild night on the town, but after throwing up in two trash cans and one alleyway, Mitsuko’s ready to go home. You’re ready to take her home, too, and you let her sling one arm around your shoulders as you shuffle along. “You know, I can’t work it out,” she mumbles in your ear. “Kazuo I understand, but you? It’s weird.”
“What’s weird?”
“How calm you are,” she says. “Like, right from the start. You love Sho and Hiro just like we do, but you’re – calm. Don’t tell me you got religion about it.”
“No,” you say. “I’ve just done this before.”
It’s not untrue. You’ve lost a friend before, but you didn’t cope well at all, and even if you had, this isn’t the same. You’re miserable about losing your friends, but mourning them visibly isn’t something you’re allowed to do. Not when you’re responsible. All you can do is try to fix it, or at least try to make sure Mitsuko makes it home in one piece, without passing out somewhere or clawing a hero’s eyes out with her acrylic nails.
As you’re helping her unlock her apartment, an idea occurs to you. “Hey, why don’t you come with me to Yoshimi’s appointment tomorrow? I have to go to work, so I can’t stay long, but it would really make her feel better if you stuck around with her at the clinic.”
Mitsuko looks lukewarm on the idea. “I don’t think she wants me there. I’m not very good at comfort.”
“How about just company?” you say, and she shrugs. It irritates you to the point where you play a card you shouldn’t. “Hiro used to.”
“Don’t guilt-trip me,” Mitsuko says. It’s quiet for a minute. “Fine. I’ll sit with her. This time. Then it’s back to you.”
“Sure,” you say. You’re pretty sure you can make it so it’s not just this time.
You say goodnight to Mitsuko, stop at a convenience store for supplies on your way home, and drag yourself into your apartment building. Before you unlock the door, you have to brace yourself. In spite of Tenko’s insistence that you aren’t left alone with the League, there have been at least a few times in the past three weeks that you’ve come home to at least one villain in your apartment.
After Tenko and the others left, after you went to Kazuo’s and stayed up all night, drunk and mourning your friends from under the weight of your guilt, the first thing you did was buy a whiteboard. You hung it on the back of your front door, and each day, you write your schedule on it, letting Kurogiri know what times you’ll be out, when it’s safe to bring villains over for a break. You can tell when they’ve been there, even if you don’t see them – things will be out of place, or food will have disappeared, or you’ll find a ton of black hair dye stains all over the shower. You don’t care that Dabi dyes his hair. You just wish he’d rinse the shower out afterwards.
Sometimes the villains leave notes for you on the whiteboard – Magne commenting on the tragic state of your makeup collection, Spinner apologizing for using the last dryer sheet, Dabi bitching about the neighbors and the noisy sex they’re constantly having in the bedroom that shares a wall with your living room. Sometimes they leave requests for you to buy stuff for them, along with at least some money to pay for it. The only person whose things you buy without asking for payment is Toga.
Everybody else takes things, or asks for them. The only person who leaves things for you is Tenko. As far as you can tell, he shows up exclusively during times when you’re supposed to be home, but for some reason or another you’re always out and about. The first time you know for sure he was here, you came back late and found a flower sticking out of an empty energy drink can on your kitchen counter. The next time it was a piece of your jewelry, with a note: Compress stole this and had Twice leave a copy, but Twice told on him. You need a jewelry box that locks. The third time it was just a note, and just three words, in Tenko’s never-got-past-kindergarten handwriting. I miss you.
You miss him, too. While you’re braced for villains every time you open the door, you’re always hoping he’ll be there.
There’s a villain in your apartment tonight, but it’s not Tenko – it’s Magne, who’s in the bathroom availing herself of your blow-dryer. She’s doing laundry, too, or she’s done it. You catch the unmistakable scent of a dryer sheet that’s gotten sucked into the lint-trap on the air. The smart thing to do would be to leave, but you’re tired, and it’s your apartment to begin with. You set down the items you bought at the League’s request on the kitchen table and sit down in a chair, your chin propped in your hand. You think about scrolling your phone to pass the time, but you don’t need to. Lately all you have to do is stare off into space, and your mind supplies enough uneasy questions to keep you busy for hours.
You come back to awareness when Magne snaps her fingers in front of your face. “Rise and shine, sweetheart. Is this for me?”
She’s holding up the three-pack of deodorant. “Yeah. It’s not the brand you asked for – I didn’t have enough money – but I smelled all the discount ones and picked the one that was closest.”
Magne uncaps one and sniffs it. “Close enough,” she decides. “What about the rest of this? Who wanted thermal socks?”
“Spinner. His note said you all are staying in a warehouse and it gets cold,” you say, and Magne nods. You glance over the rest of the things you bought. Some of them need an explanation. “The numbing gel is for Toga. She bit her cheek and there’s a sore in her mouth. Tell her not to eat anything too acidic until it heals. And these are – she knows what these are for.”
Magne nods sagely. “Oh, and these are for Compress,” you add, tapping a stack of cheap paperbacks. “He said he was bored. These should help.”
“You spoil us,” Magne remarks. She smells like your shampoo. And your body wash. “The boss is as bad as it gets. Who would have guessed that his girlfriend would be such a little saint?”
“I’m not a saint,” you say. She’s not the first member of the League to say that, but your list of sins is long enough already, and it’ll only keep getting longer. “I’m just trying to help.”
“I do wonder what the attraction is,” Magne continues, like you didn’t speak at all. “Guys like him – when they see something pretty and pure, all they want to do is ruin it. And then they don’t want it anymore. I wouldn’t get too dirty if I were you.”
“Thanks for the warning.” You see shadows flickering in your peripheral vision. Kurogiri’s here. “Take this stuff with you, okay? And tell everyone I say hi.”
“No problem.” Magne gathers up the results of the supply run. “Any other messages you want me to send? To the boss, maybe?”
“Nothing I’m telling you,” you say, and she laughs. A moment later she vanishes through the warp gate, and you’re alone. It’s past midnight. There’s really nothing for you to do except go to sleep. Or try to.
You’ve been having a hard time sleeping since Kamino. In some ways, it reminds you of how things were after you stumbled into the ruins of Tenko’s house. The images that won’t leave your head. The questions that chase each other through the darkness – did it hurt, did they know, were they scared, what happened next? There was guilt when it was Tenko’s family dead, the stupid thought that useless, quirkless, five-year-old you should have stopped it somehow – but it’s nothing like the guilt you feel now. Kamino’s death toll stands at nine hundred and eight. Magne said you were a saint, but you aren’t. No saint, no good person, lets nine hundred people, some of them her friends, die.
You’re on hour three of trying to sleep when the shadows in the far corner of your room begin to flicker. It’s another warp gate, and you watch, your heart in your throat, as someone emerges from within it. “Tenko?”
Tenko doesn’t look as surprised to see you awake as you thought he’d be. “I can’t sleep either,” he says. His face is unobscured by the hand. He gestures awkwardly at your side of the bed. “Can I –”
“Yeah,” you say at once, trying not to act like this is the best thing that’s happened to you all week. “For sure.”
Tenko’s wearing gloves already. He kicks off his shoes and strips off his shirt, then climbs into bed on the far side. You’re expecting him to stay there, but instead he reaches across the bed to pull you closer, and once he’s got you, the contented sigh that exits his mouth sets every inch of your face on fire. “That’s better.”
You manage to wiggle your arms free, folding one against your chest and wrapping the other around him. His skin is dry and warm beneath your hand, against your cheek. “Hi, Ten.”
“Hey.” Tenko hugs you closer. “This is your fault. I can’t go back to sleeping standing up after that.”
“That’s because humans aren’t supposed to sleep standing up. I have no idea how you did it for – however long you were doing it.”
“Too long, I guess.” Tenko yawns. “Why can’t you sleep?”
“The people I worked on after Kamino. I keep seeing them.” You keep seeing your friends, too, although there you’re restricted to whatever your imagination can conjure. “Other stuff, too.”
“Like what?”
Like what Tenko’s house looked like the morning after, when you ran into the wreckage. What blood and tissue felt like under your bare feet. You still don’t know if Tenko knows what happened to his family, how much he knows, how he got from his family’s house into the clutches of All For One. “Things,” you say. When you’re able to raise the arm that’s wrapped around Tenko’s shoulders, your fingers encounter the ends of his hair, and you start fiddling with them, to the tune of another contented sigh. “It’s late. Try to sleep. I will, too.”
Tenko relaxes against you, asleep within moments. It takes you another hour at least.
You expect him to be gone by the time you wake up in the morning, but instead he’s still there, shirtless, with a terrible case of bedhead that you think is way too cute. He doesn’t want you to get out of bed at all, but once you do, he trails you to the kitchen, where you start making tea and setting out something for breakfast. “It’s too early,” he complains. “Where do you have to go?”
“I’m taking Mitsuko to keep Yoshimi company during her treatment, and then I’m going to work.” You think through your day and grimace. “And after that I have class.”
“What about tomorrow?”
“It’s my day off.”
“Good,” Tenko says. “Twice is bringing a potential ally. I want you there to meet them.”
Your stomach twists, and your appetite, already fickle on its best day, goes up in smoke. “Who are they?”
“Some small-time yakuza. They want prestige and we need money.” Tenko shrugs. “I’ll come back tonight and we’ll go together in the morning.”
“Okay.” Something about this conversation strikes you as funny, but you’re not sure what it is. It takes a second for it to click, and once it does, you’re laughing.
“What?” Tenko asks suspiciously. “What’s funny?”
“We’re eating breakfast and talking about our schedules,” you say, still giggling. “We sound so normal.”
You think Tenko will laugh, too. He’ll say something snarky, something derisive, about the whole concept of normalcy and moving in with somebody and having any kind of life within the boundaries of a corrupt society. Instead his expression takes on a strange cast. “Do you think we would have been?”
You almost spill the electric teakettle out of shock. “What?”
“If nothing had happened. Do you think we’d have ended up like this?” Tenko gestures around the room, then between the two of you. “Like – us.”
If the two of you had gotten to grow up together, what would you have been? You’ve asked yourself that more than a few times. “If nothing had happened,” you repeat. If Tenko’s family hadn’t died, if he hadn’t wound up with a quirk – or even if he had, and you’d lived across the street from each other in middle school, high school. “I think so.”
“Yeah,” Tenko says after a moment. “I think so, too.”
He doesn’t say how he feels about it, and neither do you, but there’s a distant look in his eyes, like his mind’s gone somewhere else, somewhere far from here. It doesn’t fade until you set a cup of green tea down in front of him. “So,” he says, looking up at you, “how much do you know about the yakuza?”
“Not very much,” you admit. “What do I need to know?”
Tenko gives you a brief overview in between bites of food, then starts in on the details. “The group Twice made contact with is called the Shie Hassaikai. Their leader goes by Overhaul, and he’s young – not our age, a little older. Twice says he seems genuine, but I don’t want us caught off-guard.”
“Which is why you want me there,” you surmise. “If things get heated, turn the temperature down.”
Tenko nods. “It shouldn’t. He’s coming alone.”
“Right.” You force down a bite of your breakfast, then another. “And I should bring the disguise.”
“Yeah.” Black mist begins to ripple through the air near the door, and Tenko swears. “Go away, Kurogiri. I’m not done.”
“It is Dabi’s turn. And according to the schedule, she will be leaving soon.” If Kurogiri could tap his foot right now, he probably would. “With haste, Shigaraki Tomura.”
Tomura swears again, then heads back to your room for his shirt and shoes. “I’ll be back tonight,” he says as he pulls them on.
“Me, too.” You wince as Kurogiri loudly clears his throat, then hurry forward to kiss Tomura goodbye. He’s frustrated. You can tell by the tension in his mouth, the way it takes too long to soften against yours. “Hey. I’ll see you soon, all right?”
Tomura nods once. Then he disappears through the warp gate. As he vanishes, you see him removing his gloves.
You’re alone in your apartment again, and the surge of emptiness you feel threatens to knock you off your feet. You’ll see Tenko tonight, which is good, but tomorrow, you’ll be with Tomura – Tomura and the League of Villains, in disguise like you’re one of them. To the head of the Shie Hassaikai, you’ll be indistinguishable from the others.
And speaking of the Hassaikai – you weren’t lying when you told Tomura you know next to nothing about the yakuza, but you know someone who does. It’s a good thing you’re seeing Mitsuko today.
“The Hassaikai?” Mitsuko repeats, when you ask her while the two of you are waiting for Yoshimi to finish her vitals check. “Where’d you hear about them?”
“A patient.” You aren’t technically lying. Tenko was your patient. At one point. “It wasn’t a name I’d heard before, so I thought I’d ask. In case there was a chance you knew anything.”
Mitsuko’s settled down a bit now, but in middle school and high school, she was in a lot of trouble – skipping school, getting drunk and using who knows what else, hooking up with older guys, sometimes for money or gifts or just to make whatever was going on in her head go away. Some of those guys were yakuza. A lot of them were. And Mitsuko always said they liked to pillow-talk.
She thinks about it for a moment, frowning. “They’re a small group,” she starts. “They’ve got a cross-country network, but there aren’t very many of them. The old head of the family was popular, but the new one isn’t.”
Huh. “Do you know why?”
“The family thing – it’s not a joke to them,” Mitsuko says. “That’s how the former head treated it. Not the new one. One of the guys I used to see – he was from another group, but I remember he’d talked to somebody who’d left the Hassaikai when they were both in jail. That guy said the guys in his gang were just employees now. And they were expendable.”
“So the new guy’s a shitty boss.”
“Try worse. He called him a monster. Said he was empty inside.” Mitsuko looks troubled for a split second. Then she shakes her head. “They all are, though, aren’t they? Yakuza, villains – well, maybe not that Shigaraki guy. He looks like he’s so full of crazy it’s a miracle he doesn’t explode.”
You keep your mouth shut with an effort. What would you say, anyway? Nothing convincing, not without giving away more information than anyone outside the League should know. Mitsuko gives you a curious look. “Did your patient get mixed up with them somehow?”
“I guess so.”
“Hopefully they get out fast. Those guys are bad news.” Mitsuko grimaces. “I’d know.”
She looks like she wants to say more, but then Yoshimi comes out of the check-in room, and the two of you had a talk about not upsetting Yoshimi more than necessary. The two of you turn to her. “I don’t know shit about this,” Mitsuko tells Yoshimi, sounding so much like her usual self that you’d never guess she was wasted and hero-baiting last night, “but you’re with me today. Anybody who gives you shit, they have to answer to me. And I’m not nearly as nice as her.”
She points at you, and you roll your eyes. The only reason you were nice to the one nurse who was even sort of rude to Yoshimi is because you didn’t want her doing something worse when your back was turned. Yoshimi smiles gratefully at Mitsuko. “I’m so glad you’re here,” she says. “We need to catch up. Some of the nurses here are cute.”
You tell them both goodbye and sneak out while they’re talking about the cute nurses. Mitsuko could do a hell of a lot worse than a cute nurse. Maybe she needs that right now. As weird as she gets when she’s in a relationship, almost anything would be an improvement on the self-destruct sequence she’s cycling through. Not that you’re any better. If Kazuo wasn’t too busy pulling together the official incident report on Kamino to take a look at what you’re doing, he’d probably say you were doing the same thing.
You don’t look it. You hold it together at work, checking in on your younger colleagues, supporting the older ones, keeping an eye on the mood with them and the patients both. It’s not a good mood. The rest of the country is ready to venerate All Might and cheer for his victory, but Yokohama was hit too hard. Too many people lost loved one, and too many of those people live in the other Japan with you. Nobody’s gone so far as to sympathize with the League of Villains, yet, but plenty of them are angry with the heroes. And plenty of them are saying it out loud.
The organization that runs your clinic is worried about the staff. Absentee rates are high, and people come to work in bad moods and leave in worse ones. Your supervisor is offering everybody extra time off so long as you take it in shifts, and each and every one of you who was on shift during Kamino is scheduled to meet with a counselor over your lunch hour once a week. You don’t want to do it. You don’t have a lot, or any, good memories of doing therapy as a kid. And this time, there’s something you’re actually guilty of.
But it’s a requirement, and you don’t want to make waves, so you slouch into the mailroom for your counseling session as ordered. Your counselor is rich – you can tell by her clothes and her jewelry – and a whole set of unkind associations spring into your head when you look at her. You try to push them away. If your contempt is oozing from between your teeth, there’s no way you’ll get through this without raising a red flag or ten.
The counselor greets you, introduces herself as Yaoyorozu Shizuka, and something clicks in your head. “Your daughter’s at UA.”
“Yes, my dear Momo! We’re very proud,” Mrs. Yaoyorozu says, even though you didn’t’ congratulate her. “She’s been through quite an ordeal – just like you and your coworkers have been. Why don’t you start by telling me where you were on that night?”
“At first I worked triage with the evacuees,” you say. “When the casualties arrived, I went to assist the doctors and nurse-practitioners.”
“And how long did you do that for?”
“Until someone kicked me out.”
Mrs. Yaoyorozu makes a note in her notebook. Her leather-bound, monogrammed notebook. “How do you feel about the work you and your coworkers did that night?”
If you try to lie, she won’t believe you, and she’ll push the point. You need her not to push. “I feel like we failed.”
“Why do you feel like that?”
“Because that’s what we did,” you say. “Five people died in the exam rooms back there. Two more died in the hospital later. We failed our patients, just like everyone else did.”
“Just like everyone else did,” Mrs. Yaoyorozu repeats. She looks puzzled, or she’s faking puzzlement. You really don’t care which. “What do you mean?”
Of course she’d ask that question. You can’t stop the derisive sound that escapes your mouth. “Let me see. This clinic failed by not being ready to handle a mass casualty event, by not having the necessary equipment to treat major trauma or the staff who know how to do it. The site commander failed by sending those patients to us knowing we couldn’t help them. The heroes on-scene failed by prioritizing helping All Might instead of clearing the route to Yokohama General, so the people they were supposed to be rescuing when they decided it was more important to help All Might could have a chance to survive.”
Mrs. Yaoyorozu is staring at you. Your face is hot and your eyes are prickling, and you sink your nails into the palm of your hand, fighting for control. “We weren’t the only ones to fail those people. We were just the last ones. All those people –”
You cut yourself off. Mrs. Yaoyorozu scrambles to recover. “It was far from an ideal situation,” she says. “It was never going to be possible to save everyone –”
“I thought it was,” you interrupt. “Isn’t that what heroes say they’ll do?”
You need to be careful. You sound like Tomura. But Mrs. Yaoyorozu is shaking her head, smiling indulgently, ready to explain how you just don’t understand that sometimes hard choices have to be made, and you lose patience. “Look, what are you even doing here? Is it just a hobby of yours to come here and minister to the poor unfortunates who weren’t born quirked or pretty or rich? This isn’t your city and we aren’t your people. We don’t need saving. We don’t want your help.”
“Don’t speak for your colleagues,” Mrs. Yaoyorozu says mildly. “You don’t need saving. You don’t want my help. Why not?”
You look blankly at her. “You’ve been through something traumatic,” she continues. “The whole city has, and those of you who responded directly to the tragedy haven’t had time to process what you experienced. That’s what this space is supposed to be for. If it would be best for you to process by expressing your anger towards me, that’s all right.”
“So you’re going to martyr yourself.” You don’t understand where the disdain in your voice is coming from. “Sit here for an hour, then go home and tell your maids and your husband and your butler about how the nurse at the poor-people clinic was so mean to you when all you wanted to do was help.”
She’s staring at you now like you’ve slapped her, when you haven’t raised your voice or sworn or even moved an inch in your chair. You’re using your de-escalation voice, but the context is all wrong, and even as you struggle to rein in your temper, you can’t stop yourself from turning her words back on her. “If that’s what would best help you process your savior complex, that’s fine with me.”
Mrs. Yaoyorozu holds your gaze for another few seconds. Then she ducks her head, writing frantically in her notebook. “Are you crying?” you ask her. The false concern in your own voice makes your skin crawl.
Her eyes are clear when she looks up. “Blaming oneself or others for the traumatic events or for what happened afterwards,” she says. “Check. Persistent state of fear, horror, anger, guilt, or shame – check. Persistent negative cognitions, such as “I am bad”, “no one can be trusted” – check. Do you know what I’ve just listed.”
“Criterion D of the PTSD diagnosis.” Kazuo tried this trick on you already, and you were a lot more likely to listen to him. “What’s your point?”
“I can see by the dark circles under your eyes that your sleep’s disturbed,” she says. “Whether that’s by nightmares or by ruminating on what’s occurred, you’ve met Criterion B. By verbally sparring with me you’re avoiding engaging with your own feelings about what happened – Criterion C. Disturbed sleep partially covers Criterion E, and I imagine if I asked you whether you startle easily, find it difficult to concentrate, or feel unsafe in most settings, I’d get at least one yes. But I don’t need a yes to diagnose you – the first symptom under Criterion E is irritable behavior and angry outbursts. What would you call this?”
She gestures at the space between you, and you sink your nails into your palm again. “I’ve spoken to your coworkers about you. They describe you as kind, supportive, calm – the person who smooths over conflicts, not starts them. This conversation is a symptom, a sign of what you’ve been through. It’s not who you are.”
But it is. It is who you are now – a person who takes a skill you’ve used to help people and twists it into a weapon, a person who backs someone else into a corner and goes for their throat, and the worst part is, you can’t pin this on your association with the League of Villains. Tomura’s not standing here feeding you lines. This was all you. What’s happening to you?

If you don’t mind can I ask what the backstory and extra scene for contrarian as a scarlet hallow town resident is I’m curious
ofc!!! thank you so much for asking, actually, I was just worrying whether it's a bit too self-indulgent to even post oakskskskssjjs (ridiculous, I know, but my brain can be pretty ridiculous at times)
SO!!
Contra is a local whose parents died in some accident (maybe something to do with the mines) when they were very young, and they kept running off every time someone tried to deliver them to child services.
Eventually, Duke took pity on this kid who keeps stealing from the diner and from squirrels in the forest and took them in. They weren't the easiest kid to deal with, but Duke's stubborn and was intent on teaching this kid some manners and how to survive on their own since no one else's willing to help them out.
cue some bonding and genuine family moments together with Bo and Duke's wife, and Contra goes from purposely difficult troublemaker to mildly annoying helper.
fast-forward to Pearlenne's death and a week away from her funeral, in comes Hiro Scarlet, Tabitha's lost cousin.
They adopted the name 'Contrarian' cuz it's what the townsfolk kept calling them all the time; but I think they could eventually reveal to Hiro that their name is 'Mikha' (was supposed to be Mikhael (or maybe 'Mickaelle', no one is sure what their agab was anymore), but the computer must've either eaten the last bit, or the doctor simply forgor).
When heading to town from the state, you can hear a flute being played somewhere deeper in the forest. And if you decide to follow it, you get to meet the town troublemaker themself :D

some more notes about their relationship with other townsfolk
– Stella: was often the 'cryptid' she was hunting for her videos, which kinda became a staple of her channel that sometimes the cryptid is just a scrawny fella playing a prank on her. Stella takes it all in stride, and even compliments Contra on their inventiveness and creativity, often telling them they could get big by making their own pranks channel (which they often reply with, "Nah. Too much work :p"). Contra was a tad bit frustrated when Stella incidentally embarrassed Duke on her channel, and then continuously refuses to take his word seriously; actually stopped pranking her for her channel because of that, which Stella just thinks it's them trying to give her and her viewers a sense of security before striking.
– Kaneeka: she's glad they got a home in the Holler, and all, but they're not exactly friendly. Polite, at best, as she still resents all the pranks they'd play on their school (when they didn't even go there themself!!!), and how they would always enable Stella's reckless stunts, and are doing the same now to Miles, who thinks they're so much cooler than any of the other young adults here. Not as much of a beef as she has with Tabitha, but would still rather to avoid their path and that they did the same to her.
– Oscar: never really crossed paths all that much, as they rarely went to the library, but did see them occasionally stop by to pet Pixel or on their way to do some delivery for Duke. Sure, sometimes their pranks go a little too far, but they can't be all that bad, right?
– Avery: as soon as Avery learned of another enby in this rural southern town, they immediately went to pay Duke's farm a visit, where they found Contra hanging from a tree pretending to be sentinel. They quickly bonded and started hanging out, and even dated for a couple of months before the novelty just kinda faded away, so they broke it off before resentment could build and continued on as friends. Contra still goes to the diner every so often to hear Avery's new synths and is a frequent appearance in their parties.
– Reese: one reckless and impulsive friend in her son's life is more than enough, so Doctor Kelly always tried to keep Contra from getting too close. Which only made them more intent on befriending Reese even after they got 'sick'. They eventually just lost interest tho, as staying in someone's room while they're too weak to move is pretty boring (and depressing), so they just kinda forgot about him and didn't look back. The Doc see it as a blessing.
– Tabitha: "Who the hell is that?" (despite their carefree and careless attitude, they stay clear from the mines)

R.E.P.O. enemy concept- Ex-Semi’s (honestly I’m not sure of a good name for them)
Ex-Semi’s start off in a “sleep” mode where they’re crouched all the way down with their eyes black. After a while, or when someone else comes into range of them, they activate. They tend to aimlessly wander around the level just like normal enemies do. Ex-Semi’s can talk, via TTS, saying thing like “Hey”, “Over here”, or “I found something” in an attempt to lure players to them. Ex-Smi’s always talk a deep, slightly distorted and glitchy voice, their voice is always deep, even if they’re looking up or forward. Ex-Semi’s tend to attack players who are either alone or in a group but with low health. Ex-Semi’s have 3 ways of attacking/hurting you, hitting you, tumbling, and using items they find to beat you to death with them (might be a bit OP). Ex-Semi’s are also unstable, as said before, the self destruct never went off, but if they’re damaged enough, there’s a chance that that countdown will start, and finish what it should have done in the first place, but during this countdown they will run towards anyone they can, in an attempt to anyone with them in a fiery explosion.
-Ex-Semi’s can be identified by their paint, red pupils, and black or missing eyes.
-Ex-Semi’s don’t move like normal players, their animations are somewhat more stiff and robotic.
-When an Ex-Semi moves, they make a faint robotic sound tied to their movements, they also make metallic footsteps noises.
-If an Ex-Semi kills a player with a matching color, they can take their names in attempt to fit in, only the player names are backwards on Ex-Semi’s.
-Ex-Semi’s have their own health, strength, and stamina like players do.
-Ex-Semims can take your health if you turn your backs to them. (Again, WAY too OP)
-Speaking of which, can give Ex-Semi’s your health, this doesn’t help whatsoever, they stare at you for a moment, might say thank you, and then proceed to kill you.
-There is a small chance if an Ex-Semi is by the truck when it’s time to leave, they’ll confirm to leave, starting the countdown for other players , thus making them feel what it was like to be left behind, only they blow up. (WAY TOO OP)
-Upon dying, Ex-Semi bots will say “Sweet release.”, and if killed by a player, they’ll say “Thank you.”
-Ex-Semi’s heads have almost no value and can’t be revived
-Scrapped alt where their endoskeleton arms and legs are exposed. I kinda picture them looking like Hiro’s microbits from Big Hero 6.

Have a weird, fluffy pre-canon (but with ramifications) AU for Nine Sols in mind that I'll lovingly refer to as the "Terror Four" AU, inspired by some pieces by @austin-arts and can be thought of as a variation on @velveteen-vampire's Childhood Friends AU.
The big change is that at some point Jiequan and Goumang ended up moving to Xia when they were younger and ran into Yi and Heng, and eventually became fast friends.
Now, the reason it's called the "Terror Four" is because that's a nickname given to them by their neighbors and the like. They got along like a house on fire and proceeded to raise absolute hell for the next several years. They mellowed out as they grew up but remained tightly-knit as ever.
To give you an idea:
Jiequan: This is mister "Heroism is forged in Agony" we're talking about. Responsible for half the (surprisingly well-thought-out) insanity that the four got up to.
Heng: Goes along because she thinks it's fun. Basically the team heart. Usually the one who manages to drag Yi into things.
Goumang: Genius she may be, but still a streetkid at heart. Has a lot of strategies and advice born out of experience.
Yi: Goes along because someone has to make sure that these three idiots don't end up arrested - or worse. Tends to be the one to bail them out if not involved. Ignore the fact that he's as reckless as they are. (See: that time he stood up to Jiequan's bullies and got a black eye and a partially torn ear for his trouble.)
To give you an idea, you know that scene from the beginning Big Hero 6 where they get arrested? Yi's Tadashi and the others are collectively Hiro.
Adding to this, what eventually put Yi, Goumang, and Jiequan on the map for the Tiandao council was that they collectively had a reputation not to dissimilar to the CalTech Rocket Boys (y'know, the guys who got kicked off campus after a rocket test blew up their building and eventually went on to form JPL).
That said, things do go different - e.g., the Mystic Nymph incident. Make no mistake, it still goes wrong, but Yi's okay because the other two took one look at the thing and banned him from working on it unless he agreed to run tests from behind a blast shield.

Justice for Isaac Mendez: Why Heroes? Why Now?
First off you may be wondering: "Why Heroes? Why Now?" Well I'll tell you why...there has been a grave injustice done to one of the most central characters of the series. Yes, series, not first season. I'm a first time watcher, yes, in the year 2024. I need no judgement. It takes me a while to move on from one show obsession to the next. Although, I can't say I'm obsessed with Heroes just yet. There are some questionable moments that just got me thinking: "Do other people feel this way?” “Was Tumblr around in 2006?” “What would everyone's popular opinions have been?” I'm mid-way through Season 4 at the moment and the only thing I can think about when I watch the show is..."Justice for Isaac Mendez". I believe he was a character with such great potential that was never fully realized. And, then when we thought he had a grasp on his abilities he was just written off in the most uncharacteristic way possible. I don’t know about any behind-the-scenes details. Aside from the writers strike during Season 2 which caused a shortened run, 11 episodes as opposed to 20+. But, not knowing what happened on the production side of things, shouldn’t matter. As a viewer of a show I should be able to understand decisions characters made, but there are so many out of pocket moments. It's like the writers don't even know there own characters. The end of Season 1? Made no sense. Because of the writers decisions, they completely pivoted the directions of all the characters and I'd say mostly not for the better. Do I need to voice my opinions on this topic? No. Could I have just left all of my thoughts to ruminate in my head? Sure, but where is the fun in that? I wanted to share these thoughts in hopes of finding others who understand my POV. It would also be great to learn more about other perspectives from viewers of the show. At the end of the day is it that serious? No. But, in a world that is nothing but serious I need a light distraction to escape the actual injustices of the world. So, we’ll focus my energies on just discussing whatever comes to my mind on a certain day. Whether it’s to discuss why Isaac was the most central character in the series, or why his abilities shouldn’t be replicated, or why he would never have tried to shoot Peter or Simone….so many topics to dive into. And, that’s just on Isaac. Matt Parkman…the amount of injustice done to that man…I just feel bad for him at that point. And, why name his wife Janice?Never mind I’ll save that for another post. Peter Petrelli? I'm supposed to route for him, why is he such an inconsistent person? I have more sympathy for Nathan Peterelli and he was supposed to be evil at one point. Don't forget Hiro..."You already bad guy! You are villain - villain!" Don't get me wrong I like the show, Hiro and Ando the best dynamic duo who have the most memorable lines of comic relief. But, even all of there most iconic lines can't cover up all of the odd plot lines and character decisions. I'm not even going to say bad writing. I'm going to say underdeveloped storylines. It's a show with such great potential, but it was botched in my mind. Season 1 was almost perfect to me, but the following seasons just went downhill. It makes me sad. Tim Kring, you had such wonderful ideas. You created this show. It's such an original idea, I was captivated, then I felt like my heart was being toyed with because all the characters I've come to enjoy just started acting out of sorts. But, you probably get the point now. I’ll just be posting my random thoughts as someone who has yet to finish the series, but will be doing so probably in the next few days. The Disney Adventure will set sail on its maiden voyage out of Singapore on December 15, 2025! With seven themed areas, all-day entertainment and plenty of space for family fun, there will be so much to discover. So, how will you decide what to do first?
Disney Adventure cruise slated to sail in 2025 will have "San Fransokyo Street" inspired by the Big Hero 6 franchise. It's unknow if the area will have nods to "Big Hero 6: The Series" at the moment but i guess they will based on the current collab with Imagineering and Disney TVA.
San Fransokyo Street, inspired by the eclectic world of Disney Animation’s “Big Hero 6,” will be a vibrant street market perfect for family entertainment with interactive games and activities, shops, cinemas and more, plus endearing encounters with the larger-than-life Baymax himself. You’ll be able to put your hero skills to the test in the Hiro Training Zone, an immersive training simulator built by boy genius Hiro Hamada. The active, full-body experience will have groups of four running, dodging and blocking their way across a high-tech gaming floor.
