Huxley is such good disability representation for both mental and physical.

Physical through his not having legs and also not having hands. He talks a lot about not having bodily autonomy; before the addition of his spring, there’s a bit where he talks about having to be carried everywhere by others. With the addition of his spring (a mobility aid), he can finally go where he pleases, when he pleases.

He also has a cane, which he says helps him get things off of shelves and get up the stairs. This is also an aid, not only for walking but for getting things he needs without having to ask for help.

His mental disorder is also very well portrayed. He has some form of trauma, likely PTSD. This is shown through him becoming extremely scared and covering his head whenever Owner reaches into the dollhouse. Since he is a hand puppet, he associates hands with being controlled.

Another sad bit I would like to add it the threat of taking support systems and aids away as a punishment. After Daliah goes on a rant about how Huxley never listens to her, she threatens to take away his spring, since she was the one who gave it to him in the first place. She also breaks his cane out of rage at one point.

💙Huxley is extremely grateful for the affection.

💙When you first show your maternal and loving side he’ll actually be nervous. He isn’t used to affection and may think you’re trying to get something out of it.

💙But after you prove to him you aren’t trying to get anything out of it he get shy and a little flustered when you show your love. He just isn’t used to it, but he does appreciate it a lot.

💙Bro definitely says “But don’t you loveeee mmeeeee?” When he gets closer to you. He’s joking but you always got respond with no y blue clown. It’s all playful.

💙Huxley honestly craves your love and attention after a while. We all know he’s touch starved and he needs the love.

💙Huxley may need some reassurance from time to time you DO genuinely care for him and love him and you aren’t annoyed by his need for your love.

💙Whenever you take care of him and help him clean a little he appreciates it so much. He has a tendency to not clean because it’s sorta difficult for him. He doesn’t really have hands so cut him some slack.

💙When you get really close to Huxley he’ll take off his hat and let you brush his hair. He appreciates it and it honestly soothes him when you gently brush his hair and take care of him.

Of course dear! I’ve been wanting to write for Huxley and he does deserve so much better! Also! Sorry this took longer then it needed to be, I was gonna finish yesterday but I ended up falling asleep before I could and I really just made this ask so much more complicated then it needed to be.

❣️He wasn’t used to it, not at all. He’d been hurt so many times by the people around him, that when you first showed him affection and care he didn’t know how to react.

❣️He gets so flustered at first when you show him even a ounce of affection. He’s just not use to it and when you pepper his face with kisses he just gets so surprised and makes him turn redder than a tomato.

❣️If you cuddle with him while he’s upset about something he just might start crying and bury his face into your chest. He gets so flushed but gets addicted, he’ll start to crave your affection at almost anytime of the day.

❣️However, after a couple months of you caring for him and actually treating him decently, he gets cocky as hell. He’ll give you surprise kisses and hug you from behind trying his best to see you get red. And god is he good at it.

❣️I really hope you like compliments because he will do it daily as long as you compliment him often. He loves it more than anything though when you notice accomplishments of his no matter how small or big they are. He also really makes sure you don’t feel your love is one-sided.

❣️After a while of being in a relationship with you, he will start seeking out for you at anytime of the day for your affection and he will find you fairly quickly, because well..you can only really stay in the dollhouse. He’ll wrap your arms around him and make both of you sit down together and just cuddle. He really likes cuddling.
