So I just saw that a couple of BL youtubers (Psynergic and Topher) are having a Kickstarter for a BL social media platform called DramaLlama.

I have seen zero chatter about it over here on tumblr, so I'm wondering if people here were aware this is a thing? Do we have an opinion on that? I honestly have not enough knowledge about tech and/or SNS to have any idea how viable this idea in general or this kickstarter in particular is, so I'm curious to hear what everyone else thinks.

Assistant's head hurt from looking at the screen all day. Their eyes burned, and they closed them for a few seconds. It didn't help much though. Their eye drops were already empty, but they couldn't find the time to go to the pharmacy and buy new ones.

They let out a long yawn. God, making the schedule for next week so their boss ahd at least some free time wasn't easy. So many meetings and appointments... An one hour brake every day just wasn't enough...

They took a sip of their coffee- their fifth one that day- and looked down at their notebook. They only needed to make a few more calls... Maybe they could move some of the appointments to the week after..? But that would mean more calls, more work and less sleeping.

They couldn't say when they fell asleep, but they woke up on the couch in their office with a warm blanket over them. A steaming cup of tea sat on the small coffee-table.

"Good morning", said a deep but calming voice. Villain was sitting at their desk, looking through their notebook, their messy notes and all their open tabs on the computer screen.

For a few seconds, Assistant didn't know what was going on. "Good morning", they yawned.

Villain smirked. "Feeling better now that you've slept a little?" They wrote down something on a light blue sticky note and pressed it against the whiteboard.

"Yeah..." Assistant sat up, rubbing the sleep out of their eyes with the back of their hand. They took the tea and sipped on it. It was a little bitter, but not bad.

After a few moments of silence, villain spoke up. "I saw that you were sleeping on the security cameras, so I moved you somewhere more comfortable." They typed something into the computer. "Looks like i wont have much free time next week."

Assistant wanted to get up, but their head started to spin as soon as they stood, so they sat back down. "I tried", they croaked.

Their boss hummed, low but, in a way, comforting. "No worries. I'll see if I can move some meetings around and make some time for myself." They typed something again. "Lay back down and get some more sleep."

"I'm not tired anymore", assistant yawned, making their lie even less believable than it already was. They heard villain chuckle.

"I'll only make a some calls, Right hand will handle moving the meetings. You don't have to do anything. It's not like you're awake enough to finish any work anyway."

Assistant let out a sigh, and murmured a faint "thanks" before flopping back down on the couch. As soon as their head hit their pillow, they fell asleep again.

Mr. Zanotto

For @perish-lolz and their Psychonauts Worldbuilding Challenge, I'd like to discuss a character who is brought up a couple times, but never actually shows up in the game in any form other than photographs: Bob Zanotto's father.

To start off, I'd like to note what we already know to be fact about him.

He was Tia's husband.

They had two kids at least, since Bob is an uncle.

He is dead.

We have very little information about him overall, but there are some things we can infer.

Exhibit 1: Tia Plant's statement during the boss fight.

She refers to "Another dead soldier," but since she fell apart after the death of her husband, it can be assumed that Mr. Zanotto was a soldier who died-- most likely, in combat. The fact that in Tia's Greenhouse, her grave is shown to be not next to anyone else's? That implies that there was no body for them to bury.

Exhibit 2: The moth's statement about "Sailing away forever."

Personally, putting this with the heavy references to boats, sailing as the main mode of transport, and the fact that there is no body to bury, I would assume this to mean that his father died at sea-- and, specifically, meaning he was likely in the Navy.

Even so, I will acknowledge that this could be about Lucy sailing away and how Raz has been sailing off for a while here.

Exhibit 3: Otto's letter to Ford, and specifically the line about Gelsin Mux dying in a war in Grulovia.

It would not be unreasonable to believe that this war has been going on for quite a while since Grulovia seems to end up in a lot of wars, and it could have included the country that the Motherlobe is in, be it America, Canada, or some fantasy country.

However, I have another theory. This being a version of our world since France still exists, I decided to go on an adventure through history. Psychonauts takes place in the year 1982, meaning that the Deluge was in 1962. If we assume the Psychic 7 were about 40 at that time, that would place their birthdays around the late 1910s to early 1920s.

There have been some events in the Psychonauts timeline that still happened in our own-- For instance, Napoleon, Waterloo, etc. Therefore, if I'm pushing my luck a bit, it's extremely possible that his father died in the Psychonauts version of WWI-- and therefore, a war that involved a draft. Since Bob was known to be very young when his father died, I assume his father was drafted into the war.

I went off on a total tangent there, but anyways, my point is that it could be either a war that's taken its time to settle down in Grulovia or an entirely different war.

Exhibit 4: The photographs.

There is a photo of a man climbing into a truck on the walls of the house as you first enter Tia's Bottle. He's assumedly Bob's dad since he appears to be older, and there's no pictures of him with Bob. However, there is another photo.

Seeing as this picture has a black ribbon over the corner, a symbol of mourning, we assume this man is dead. However, this leads to one moment of major confusion to me.

If that man with the beard is, in fact, Bob's father... How is there a picture of him and Bob at close enough to the same age as Bob is in the vault, while there's also a picture of him when he's older? Therefore! I do not believe the bearded man is Bob's dad, but in fact, his brother!

Would also explain why he's not at Tia's funeral, too-- He's dead by the time Bob is old enough to remember things well enough, like in Tia's Greenhouse, where he's shown washing dishes.

Seeing as Truman is seen at Bob's wedding looking just as he does in canon, it makes sense too-- He's born while Bob is in his early teenage years, and therefore would be about 30 when the Deluge happens. I could reasonably see him being about 50, especially given his line to Lili.

"That's only going to be funny for a few more years" implies he's closer to old age than he appears.

Continuing on to a segment without any proof: I have a personal headcanon that he was a marine biologist with a focus on plants. He wasn't psychic, and his family was anti-psychic, but he found psychic powers interesting. He had dozens of scientific journals that were kept everywhere, which is why there are all those books in Tia's bottle's shelving. He was an amiable guy, and always there to help others, which is why Tia got close to him in the first place.

I think that he was a good man, but didn't have enough time to do everything he wanted.

So, in conclusion: My personal opinion is that his father was drafted into the Navy, and died there. He had an older son who died before Tia did, and Truman was born while Bob was pretty young.

I don’t know if anyone explained the “trans people exist” dominoes goncharov meme. The reason “trans people exist” is the first domino is because at the very beginning of Elon Musk taking over twitter he announced that “comedy” was “allowed again”, and everyone kind of assumed that by “comedy” he meant “being allowed to harass and deadname trans people”. (And considering they’ve changed trans harassment rules, yeah he probably did.)

That and he has been especially cringe since Grimes dumped him and started dating Chelsea Manning, who is trans.

There is so much information in here! I was kind of expecting yet another layer of creativity in the Goncharov meme, another lie as to why trans people existing led to Goncharov, yet instead I discover that Grimes is dating Chelsea Manning.

Jason was having a pretty OK time with the league of assassins, sure getting dunked in a lazarus pit sucked and Bruce turned out to be a scumbag who didn't care about him, but at least he isn't dead. He even liked most of the new skills he was learning there so on the whole being with the league seemed like a pretty good deal to him until Talia woke him up in the middle of the night and left him alone with two child assassins.

Or, a demon twins AU where when Talia realizes her father intends to have her boys fight to the death takes action first by deciding to take all her kids and leave the league. Talia either dies or is separated from them in the initial escape and now Jason just has a bag of supplies and a letter from Talia explaining the plan to get to Gotham. Jason has to get himself and two 7 year olds out of the Himalayas, across a desert, and over 12k miles to Gotham. Only now the league members hunting them down want them dead or worse and Jason isn't too confident that B will accept them given their kill counts.

Featuring:

Good Mom Talia. she loves her kids. Did she teach them to kill? Sure, but that's an important life skill.

Single Teen Mom Jason. He's the oldest and in charge but he also will not answer any questions about The Plan™ given he isn't committed to Talia's but also doesn't have a set alternative. Oscillates between looking forward to just dumping his new little brothers with Bruce so they'll be his problem and thinking of just moving somewhere random in the US and keeping them based entirely on how cute vs annoying they are at that time. Didn't realize how much he relied on Talia to help him with things until she is gone. He's really trying his best but he wasn't all that emotionally stable before this so hang in there.

Angry Smol Dami. He's still drinking the LoS punch and really dislikes that he is now considered a traitor. Can't stand that Jason won't answer any of his very relevant questions. Is actually very scared but will not show it. Misses his mom. Didn't even know he had siblings until his mom yoinked him out of bed that night and brought him to Jason and Danny and started all this. Physically the stronger twin. Thinks Danny is dragging them down in fights and also may blame him a bit because clearly his mother only did all this to spare him.

Danny, reincarnated with limited access to his memories and powers. Has been trying to keep his powers a secret. Talia knew about them but never told anyone but she may have hinted at it in her letter to Jason. Not the strongest physically but very good at stealth and social interactions. Didn't know he had and older brother or twin before Jason woke him up at Talia's instruction that night. Thinks Damian is mean and has faith Jason knows what he's doing even if that is very much untrue.
