Sometimes I wonder how many of my followers actually enjoy my gameplay posts... Like out of 700 people (yes, we’ve reached 700, thank youuuuuuu ❣️) there must be more than 10 who see the posts and kinda like them? Otherwise - like if they hated my gameplay - why would they follow me considering I post CC once every blue moon and gameplay 5 times a day... Maybe they’re just people who don’t like interacting with other simblrs (I understand, I myself should like posts more often) but it leaves me wondering... How many people actually care for my silly sims shenanigans? I think about it often.

Honestly though like if you're following Philza you should get used to the fact that since the dawn of him streaming RP people have violently disliked his reaction to any angst beats because like, the cc finds angst rp funny and is also a very giggly guy. And if you're here for drama and tragedy it looks like he's not taking the pain seriously, which is obviously going to be something you don't like seeing. Trust me. We have been here before. I have watched DSMP. There were people saying he didn't take Techno's IRL death seriously enough because he was positive on stream. Like, this is top five things people get mad at cc!phil and his characters for, after "breaks the fourth wall" and "is an imperfect person/parent" and "idk his vibes just grate and I read them as Bad y'know".

I personally think that like the fact that he was repeatedly saying to the eggs that they were gonna get Tubbo back, they'll bring him back with the create wrench cause he cares about create, don't worry it'll all be okay; that was all evidence that the character does care about Tubbo and for heaven's sake, if you want angst, read that as denial and you're fully comfortably in one of the recognized stages of grieving. I was making jokes the day people in my life died, this is also one of the ways people deal with loss. But I also see why that's a POV clash if you wanted a more straightforward depiction of grief and angst? Phil was pretty far from being in tears, which is what some people think was warranted. So like, sure, if you've been watching a specific perspective, Phil's reaction was trivializing. I can see that perspective as well.

It is not fun to see someone calling your POV "vile" and "heartless" and "too selfish to consider other people" and the other delightful stuff that I just saw on a scroll through the tag, but like, that's just POV clash, you gotta let people have their own opinions and block the neg tags and maybe block people who are being really loud. Sincerely, it does nobody any good to go beefing about people being mean about your favourite cubito. Post careful lore exploration on your own blog if you want but doing replies, sending anons, all of that is the way down which A Bad Time lies. Sincerely like, this has happened before, this will happen again, just go listen to good music or something and ignore it.

I've been meaning to make this post for a while because there are always arguments and frustrations regarding WCIFs here on simblr. With new users and simblrs popping up every day, I thought it wise to take a few minutes to inform people on this topic as some people really might not even know what WCIF means or what the universally acceptable way to approach WCIF asks is.

WCIF is shorthand for "where can I find..."

If you are a simblr, it is a good idea to clarify in your blog's bio if you are open to messages asking about cc, that way people visiting your blog don't have to guess. You can indicate this by saying you are either WCIF Friendly or WCIF Unfriendly/No WCIFs. If someone is WCIF friendly, it means that they welcome messages in their ask box regarding where to find a certain mod, piece of cc, etc. If someone is WCIF unfriendly, this means they do not welcome messages in their ask box of this nature.

When someone is WCIF unfriendly, you should respect their terms and boundaries by not sending them a message asking where to find something for the sims. Yes, this means even "well-intended" asks that are ultra polite are not welcome to them (which is perfectly okay). Instead, first check if the user has a "CC Finds" sideblog where they reblog the cc they use.

If they don't have a "CC Finds" blog where they essentially archive the cc they use, you can make a post on your own blog with a screenshot (with a link to the original post) and/or a description of the cc you're looking for and tag it as public wcif, this way people can respond if they know what the mod or cc is. There are also reddit threads for sims 4 wcifs you can post on. If you don't want to do any of that, try googling it by description! You'd be surprised how intuitive the results can be.

On the other hand, if someone is WCIF friendly they are open to helping you find a specific piece of cc for the sims, but you should always send them a WCIF in their ask box, not through a private message or a comment on their post. This is so they can make one public post and avoid inquiries about the same cc over and over again. They will likely tag these posts on their page as "WCIF," so be sure to check their tags before you ask them about a piece of cc because they might have already linked to it in a different ask!

It should go without saying, but even though someone is WCIF friendly this doesn't mean you can disregard kindness when it comes to asking someone a favor. Say hi, ask politely (please and thank you go a long way ya know!), and be patient. People who are wcif friendly choose to take their time to link cc for others, so they're doing you a favor...be nice!

I think I covered the basics as simply as I could; the most important thing is to remember that there are real people on the other side of simblr blogs, and whether they have 13,000 followers or 3 they deserve to be respected. Just be kind and respect people's boundaries. I hope this helps someone, and if you didn't know about any of this... now you know! 👍

This is just me but something I was a bit worried about for a while is that there might be some bitterness between the Dream fans and other people in the mcyt fandom. Like I get it, some of the people there were awful and did whole harassment campaigns. But…I don’t know sometimes I go to some blog and find a bitter post about a qsmp or some of the mcyt people and o get a bit worried that some might lash out against them. Like yeah they’re not perfect and I get why they’re angry. But sometimes I worried that some people might take it too far and end up doing the same as the antis. sorry if it dont makes sense but this is just me

I mean, you've got to understand that we went through over a year of not just false accusations (which people still spread despite being disproven and despite understanding how terrible false accusations are especially after recent events) but through absolutely awful harassment that hasn't stopped.

there's lies that are spread (dream had airhorns playing during the 'uieud' video?? which did not happen), people supporting not just assault but ableism, homophobia, and antisemitism solely because the 'other side' was dream, and people making posts in mcytblr spheres talking about how dteam fans should die.

and then as an ojibwe person who was watching the qsmp, it was awful and disappointing to see that all go down and to feel genuinely scared and unheard when voicing my feelings on it. and that's just one event, that's not counting being forced to leave discord servers or feeling unwelcome in them.

i don't know how to explain how bad it is. just recently a large mcyt blog made a post about chasing off dream fans:

things are getting better but man. i lost friends for venting about being harassed because they were more focused on how i was venting.

none of us want this. every single person i know would love for it to go back to how it was.

and i get what you're saying. i do think people take it too far sometimes. i'm absolutely against that kind of thing. i do understand, though, how deeply hurt people are. and i think there's a level of hypocrisy that happens where it's okay to lash out at and make pretty awful jokes about dream and his fans and when one of his fans calls something out, it becomes 'petty fandom drama'. like getting my concerns about racism on a server i was actively watching (and still do for people like niki) dismissed as 'well you don't like the server because you're a dream fan so of course' sucked. or people making jokes about death threats, stalking, and SA threats being called out becomes drama, y'know?

basically, i don't know man. it sucks. i had to change my phone number. i had threats made against my kids and pets. and a lot of it was dismissed so i'm not surprised there's bitterness. people were deeply hurt. people are upset at some of the hypocrisy shown (it's okay for this cc to do xyz but things from years ago are still brought up re: dream).

which means, yeah, sometimes they do take it too far and i don't like it and i think it's become this very toxic cycle that's probably never gonna stop until people just. leave things alone, y'know?

and stop thinking there's an 'acceptable' target for harassment because there's not.

Hi I know this maybe a random question but I’m just curious why are your wcifs closed?

I mean it seems a little gate keepy to some people really to show and share content especially when it’s free and public to all for you not to answer a wcif. It almost gives the sense of” I want to show all the nice content I have in my game but no one can ask me where I got it from” much like most of the alpha players when the moment they start to get a little popular it’s “ I’m not wcif friendly” much like most sims tiktokers now. This is no way singling you out

I just was curious because I wish this community would go back to helping and being one and together instead of drifting apart.

Calling me or another simmer 'gate keepy' for not having wcifs open is absolutely ridiculous.

I have 53 pages worth of wcifs and 139 pages of questions I have answered in the past. I have spent many hours helping out simmers whether it was to link cc or answer more in depth questions they had.

I also have a cc finds blog where I reblog about 97% of all the custom content I put into my game, next to also doing cc recs posts and occasional lookbooks. Not to forget the resource page I spent several days making with 180+ links of all the cc and mods I have in my game, along with all my favorite creators.

With the following I currently have I would receive more than 100 wcifs within a week and I simply do not have the energy or time to answer all of those. It was fun when I was a lot smaller and got a couple every few days but that's not the case anymore.

I have also made full videos listing every single build I use in my worlds next to also answering 'wcifs' for those said builds. I spend so much time trying to help out other simmers, give them inspiration, cc suggestions and ideas to incorporate into their game but I am no longer interested in sitting down every few days to link cc for two hours straight.

No creator is obligated to answer wcifs and them taking the time out of their day should not be taken for granted.

Unfortunately, they will have sparse furnishings due to the limited budget of §16,500 but there is enough space to redecorate once the money starts to come in for the family. Religion Mod: Banisteria Expansion

This is a small update for my Religion mod specifically for the Omiscan religion.

So you probably don't think of bongs when you think of religion but the use of psychedelic substances was a very common practice in ancient religions as people used to use them to commune with spirits and higher powers. As the Omiscan religion is based on ancient MesoAmerican and West African animist religions, it fits right in and makes for some fun gameplay.

If you play as an Omiscan, then you know that there's a special unlock you get for maxing out the religion which is a psychedelic herb called Banisteria. It's based on ayahuasca. Sims eat it and gain temporary "enlightenment" or they may have a negative reaction to it.

It's always been the plan to make a drinkable tea version (which is how you normally take ayahuasca) but while I was doing the vape pen, I added the option to smoke banisteria as well for my freewheeling free-lovin Omiscans.

Since the Omiscan religion is all about communing with others and the spirits, I wanted the smoking (and eventually drinking) to be a shared experience but the idea of sharing a vape seemed gross to me (do people do that IRL?). So I created a bong which is, in theory, just as gross, but at least that's what you normally do with bongs so I can let that slide.

Requirements: You need the updated banisteria and Peteran (that's where the buff effects are) files and my Smoking mod here to use this and University for the herb effects. If you are downloading the religion mod for the first time, please read through the documents and the original post first.

Credits: The bong is an edited conversion from Chisami's Highlife set. Sadly their blog is no longer active but you can still find their stuff on a graveyard site. You may be able to use other bongs but I shorted this one to fit the animation so you'll have to trial and error to see which other cc bongs will work.

Banisteria is a sacred herb to the followers of the Omiscan religion so it's only available to those who have mastered the religion. It cannot be bought or acquired any other way (unless you use a cheat).

However globalization ruins everything and turns it into a commodity so now it's become cool to smoke Banisteria even if you're not Omiscan.

Still only Omiscans have a good understanding of how to handle the herb and so they have a lower chance of having a bad trip. Chance of a bad trip is 40% (tunable) if you don't have an Omiscan skill level 3 or higher.

Sims can sell banisteria at the smoke shop which yields a higher price than if you were to sell it through your inventory. (How much more you get is based on the quality of the herb.)

I've also updated the herb effects for banisteria so having a bad trip is bit more "psychedelic". Sims that are tripping will hear and see things only they can hear and see.

Because banisteria is a mind altering substance, pregnant Sims should not smoke it but no one's stopping you from doing so. It will cause harm to the pregnancy though.

Other Features:

This adds two additional features to the vape pen

Add Banisteria: You will need at least 4 banisteria herbs in your inventory to fill the vape pen. Note: this amount is tunable in Retuner

Smoke Banisteria: self explanatory

Bongs/Waterpipes

You can purchase from the smoke shop at the grocery store where you get cigarettes, vapes, etc.

Bongs cost 350 and require 6 banisteria herbs to fill. Also tunable.

Sims with a bong in their inventory can also smoke with a friend. Just select someone you have 40+ relationship with and select "Smoke with X". They may accept or refuse based on their traits or current buffs.

Omiscan teens won't get in trouble for smoking banisteria because it's part of their culture.

i never really talked about this but since im getting back into things its best to get things out of the way

when i first started this blog i was all bout making elder sims and finding as much cc as i can that works with elder sims

it was going fine until 2 things happened 1) i saw a video by a sim youtuber styling an elder sim too and it seemed like they used my lookbooks to find the cc ( cause it was the same cc put together) and never gave credit

i brushed it off and said it must be a coincidence also i don't own the idea and they might have just looked in the same places i did i was alittle discouraged but i was letting it go

until 2) i got an anon message that said i should stop because "as a cc creator" they don't want to see their cc on stinking elders that don't look good..... i never published it or addressed it but i was angryyyy

i was like whats the fucking point of me scouring the internet only for it to be rejected this way so i stopped and just did whatever else i fucking wanted for a few years which confused people but it was what it was a nice break maybe

now that there is much distant between me and those incidents i look back at them an laugh at how naive i was and how a "cc creator" had beef with me over pixel old people lol

anyway i might try to get back into things again and this time i wont be as sensitive as i was before, if anyone tries me again im gonna put them on blast lol

oh yeah and im gonna try and restore my queue and see if tumblr fixed it or not ( i stopped it because no matter what timing i set tumblr would publish all my queue at once)

so yeah anyway im glad thats off my chest now

i've been scrolling through this page on and off because truthfully i wanted to see how you were doing. i know i dont know you but you're one of my favorite authors, as a general sense- i would love your writing even if it wasn't fic, that's how much i enjoy it. i knew your stories often had cwilbur as, at least, a major character if not the main one. i'm glad that you seem to be alright, and i'm glad that you won't be deleting any of your work, because i'm truly grateful that you gave me and everyone else the chance to read it and i'd love to read it all again sometime when the wound is a little more healed from this situation.

i'm very disgusted by wilbur of course, like everyone else is. today i went through all almost 70 of these my playlists and removed every trace of his music, solo stuff and lovejoy. i can't listen without feeling sick, really, can't separate it. i know now that he's the kind of person i was using his music as an escape from. it was so refreshing though to see the incredible response from ccs and the community in support of shelby. i've never been an avid watcher of her content, but i've always watched ccs in the same friend group as her and they've always seemed so lovely. it's horrible what she went through, but they are also an incredibly strong and brave person who seems to have really inspired many people including other abuse survivors with her courage. i hope this leads to an unending support for her and her content - she's been around for a long time and i firmly believe that what we as an audience can mainly do to support her is to watch her videos, leave kind comments and follow her channel if we so chose. she may not read every comment, or see every twitter reply, but they'll know we're with them.

on an unrelated note, i, too, got my period yesterday despite only checking your page today. i find it very funny just how many of us have experienced this and i feel as if i should be blaming you 😭

the amount of people I've had tell me that they would read my writing regardless of the fandom or even if it wasn't fic makes me so incredibly happy you guys have no idea

I'm hoping that if my fics ever gave anyone comfort, they'll be able to still get that same comfort after some time has passed and people have had a chance to let everything settle. I've always written about the character, not the guy himself. I completely understand those who can't make that separation, but I hope for those that do my past fics continue to remain a source of enjoyment for them.

shelby has been in the community for such a long time and it's been truly amazing to see all the support for her. they've always been such a lovely and positive person, and if one good thing comes out of how horrible this situation is, I hope this leads to a lot of people discovering a new favorite cc in her.

Hello, I'm another anon that is also kind of scared to keep posting about the situation. Actually, I've reblogged a couple of posts actually of the situation but, not too much of it. I don't want to come across as too negative and I try to be careful of what I reblog about it. Though, I also fear that people might think that I'm perfectly fine or okay with Dapper/Pomme and the french cc's being gone because I don't express my outward opinion on it (which it does make me depressed). I try to liveblog as normal when I watch my streamer in the QSMP and not think about it because I know that it will just send me in a downward spiral, but it upsets me to think that some people might believe that I or other blogs that are quiet about their opinions - would not be depressed over it or upset. The whole situation surrounding Dapper and Pomme has made me cry, I was so emotionally attached to these eggs. I'm glad they're out of that shitty treatment though, even if I miss them a lot. It also makes me depressed that the french cc's on the server are going to be gone and that the QSMP Studios didn't even care to keep them on by communicating to Pomme and leaving her in the dark for three weeks. Quackity should have been more involved into his own project, and communicating with ALL of his employees, he's the boss, he should have checked so that this terrible worker situation wouldn't have happened to begin with - maybe that's unrealistic of me and just my emotions talking but it's how I feel. Dapper shouldn't have been hired, I don't know if that's a hot take or not but I haven't seen many people talk about it? They were hired as a minor, where people make constant sex jokes and have a sex club - it just makes me uncomfortable that they were exposed to that and to working conditions that they should have never been in. It also makes me uncomfortable to see that there's still admins working in the QSMP like cucurucho or mr.reaper because their situation still isn't fixed? I haven't seen anyone else talk about this either and it just sits so weirdly to me. If the admins are being put on a break so that they can restructure QSMP, why is there still a few there working? It's just a lot of my thoughts, sorry for the vent but I felt that I needed to get my emotions out there without being known for it (blog wise)

At the end of the day anon, your blog is your blog, you should express yourself on it the way YOU want.

Don’t worry about what people may think, do what feels right for you and if there are some who may find it annoying or whatever, then they’ll just block tags and not see what they don’t want to see anymore.

I worried a lot about bothering people at first and then started thinking that if it’s the case, they can just block me, no hard feelings, and I can keep sharing what I want on my blog, and they don’t have to see it. win win situation !

As for the rest, about Dapper’s admin being hired as a minor tbh it’s true that they shouldn’t have been hired. I know they were close to turn into an official adult when they were hired, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to play Dapper, but Qstudios should have been very strict on this stuff.

As for some admins still being on the server, it was to expect when they reopened it, if only because if there are players on QSMP, you at least need someone who will help with bugs, server maintenance, making sure someone doesn’t break something important…

I think once during a recent BBH stream, you could see the « government names » of the admins (QNPCXX). When asked about them, Lea said that these were high ranked admins (and one of them was a « bad » one). So yeah chances are that admins that currently have access to the server are high admins/people who weren’t volunteers.

Omg hello!! First of all I’m honored you’ve come to me about this!! :D

I’ll link below the first and second part of a qsmp recap made by the qsmp itself! This is a good start if you don’t wanna go ALL the way back to the start of the server, as it has been a few months now!

There are a few certain days I would recommend watching VODS for! Ex. Cellbit and Roiers wedding, First egg adoption day, festa junina, election dinner, as well as the days the French or Brazilians arrived if you wanna get more in depth!

VODS are not a necessity though and there are plenty of people who will update you and/or gladly tell you what’s been happening! There are so many update accounts everywhere on different social medias too!

As for POVs that is entirely up to you! I would recommend at least 1 person per language but that is just a recommendation! It’s just how I do it to keep updated! But it’s not a necessity once again! There is also many different aspects! I enjoy more lore heavy people as well as people who stream for a LONG time! So keep those things in mind!

You can find so many people who watch the other povs to provide info though if you decide to only watch one or two!

Some lore heavy CC’s are Forever, Cellbit, and Max off of the top of my head

Some longer stream people are Foolish, Badboyhao, and Cellbit again off the top of my head

The people I watch in each language are:

English ( the largest one bcs it’s my native lol ) - Foolish, Philza, Niki, Fit, Tina, Jaiden, and Quackity

Spanish - Missa, Roier, Rivers, Pol, and Quackity

French - etoiles, baghera, Antoine

BR Portuguese - Tazercraft, Cellbit

Now a huge part of qsmp is the community !!

Can I just say something? Okay, so, I think the funniest live bloggers are the Brazilians. They are so funny, and for what? I can almost always find something to laugh at in their live blogging for each day and I am just sitting looking through my tags and nearly laughing in the middle of one of my classes. Thank you, so so much Brazilians. You guys and your CCs are so dear to me. I can almost always find enjoyment in the live streams even if I can't understand a word they are saying(I can pick up little things here and there and it honestly makes me so happy) and it is so awesome coming on here and looking at the QSMP live blogging tag and figuring out through the live bloggers.

Other English speakers that are fans of the QSMP need to realize that the Spanish speakers and Brazilians are a part of our community and without them, we wouldn't have some really cool content. I am tired of seeing people make fun of or generally being awful to the CCs or even fellow fans. Do better.

Again, thank you Brazilian fans and also thank you to the Spanish speaking fans. You guys are awesome. Keep doing you and I hope other English speaking fans start appreciating you more, or even as much as I do and that they try to understand even a little bit, whether it's through learning one of the languages, even just watching the Brazilian and Hispanic creators and finding the cognates and understanding even a little bit, or even just interacting with fans who don't speak English as their first language and taking the time to even put their words through google translate(honestly, as someone learning Spanish, it isn't great but if you have a reading level over that of a first grader then you should be able to figure it out even then) just to help it reach more people as most social media sites are more English friendly than they are to any other language.

Feel free to translate this post so it can reach more people. I don't really care for credit but it would be really nice because we need to start crediting people more in not just this space but also in other spaces. Credit artists and writers, they are the back bones of many fandoms, especially ours. The museum in the QSMP itself credits the artists. Give credit where credit is due.
