Another reason Silver wasn't in TMOSTH is because he could probably just suck the poison out of Sonic with his powers.

I always like wondering to what extent Silver's powers can pull things off; in IDW, when Super, he could inflict changes on a molecular level, and I think it would definitely be interesting if he could do so in canon as well! It would make him even more OP for sure, but it would also give him something unique. And besides, I figure it would be a huge struggle for him to do something so tiny and precise, so it'd be nice to see him actually struggling with his powers for a change! After all, usually we only see him struggling when he's overly straining himself and trying to do too much at a time, so contrasting it with something absolutely miniscule that also gives him issues would make for an interesting scenario imo.

Though, I doubt he'd actually have been very useful in un-poisoning Sonic: after all, everyone thought Sonic was simply playing along and napping, and by the time Silver's powers would have been useful Sonic had already come around again😅 Still, his efforts would be appreciated!

this isn’t even hate— but when you add in the context that trump is in the middle of campaigning for an upcoming presidential election and he’s wearing a campaign slogan with pictures with the f1 winner, its a little different than an oil sponsor. Not to mention a fundraiser would actually create discomfort at the actual race event for fans, etc

Obviously I know there’s so much wrong with these sponsors/sport but Trump is a political symbol for so much hate for many Americans (the literal audience for this race) and completely unassociated with providing financial support to f1. “Virtue signaling” is interesting way to respond to criticisms of him being here

i think that's what made kate wagner's article an uncomfortable read for a lot of fans tbh. i'm sidetracking here but the point i'm thinking about a lot is that interpersonal relationships and triumphant moments happen in f1 despite this great machine, and not because of it. that's the joy i'm chasing/reclaiming as a fan i guess.

my initial disappointment that orangeman was there was quickly followed by a "well why am i even surprised...". this is overall more a critique and self-reflection of damn, why do we – myself included – get swept up in the marketing.

i also question why discomfort comes up more in the context of trump's cap and political slogan and not ar*mco's greenwashing or as a political vehicle of soft power (extract below from their public listing/IPO):

WIP Questionnaire

I'm answering these for The Flames of Revolution!

1. What’s the first part of your WIP that you created?

Technically this is the prequel to my Days of Resistance series, so I came up with a lot of the world and character stuff before I started this book specifically. Most of the first stuff I created was just bits and pieces of Caldren's backstory, mainly about him being an assassin, and a lot of the moments with him and Peg.

2. If your story was a TV show, what would the theme song/intro be?

"Things We Lost in the Fire" by Bastille is one of the songs I really associate with this book in particular. Fire is a huge element to Caldren's character arc. Almost all the big turning points in his life involve flames, hence the name of the book. Both the lyrics and the vibe fit really well.

But if I was looking for a song for the series as a whole, I really like "War of Change" by Thousand Foot Crutch. It fits with both the outer conflict with the government and with the internal conflict of some of the characters.

3. What are your favorite characters that you made? Why?

Peg. I love Caldren to death, but Peg is my favorite little guy in all the world. He's so sweet and perfect and pure. I put him through so much trauma, but despite it all he just keeps going and holding onto his kind, sweet nature.

Caldren is so great too though. He's so, so stupid sometimes, but his character arc is great. He's also such an interesting mess of contradictions, and despite everything he's a great big bro.

Madreline is so hard-working and supportive. She takes no nonsense, but is still very sweet and compassionate. I really wish I could write her in more tbh.

I'm going to put in Scatterwag as an honorable mention because he's probably my favorite side character. He has some of the same vibes as Fagin from Oliver Twist or Long John Silver in Treasure Planet. Like, you know his morals are extremely messed up and he's probably committed absolute atrocities, but there's something so jolly and lovable about him that you can't help liking him.

4. What other pieces of media do you think your fanbase would share?

I'm honestly not sure. It's a really weird genre, hinting at historical fiction but definitely not actually that, but not quite fantasy either? I think that people who like it would also like things like the Hunger Games. It was also inspired a lot by The Wingfeather Saga, so I think that would also be something my fanbase might share.

5. What has been your biggest struggle with your WIP?

Training scenes. Caldren's whole thing is wanting to become stronger/more adept at fighting so he can get his revenge, but I am absolutely horrible at writing training scenes. There's like, at least three and I'm trying to figure out how to write them beyond "and then they taught him how to use a dagger" 😅.

6. Are there any animals in your story? Talk about them!

I don't really have any specific animals in this book, although there's a pretty nice dog in other books of the series. In this book, Caldren does have a horse, but it's not super important. There's also a few mentions of the street dogs! They're these unwanted, abandoned dogs that wander the back streets of the big cities in packs, and will occasionally attack humans to try to get food. While they are legitimate threats, there's this whole thing about Peg relating to the street dogs because he knows how it feels to be cast out and considered monstrous and unlovable. Andreu tames one later in the series.

7. How do your characters travel/get around?

It's a time period before cars, so the main transportation is wagons, carriages, and horses. Carriages are usually for the wealthy, though. Caldren rides a horse between cities. Within the city, Caldren and Peg travel mainly by foot. They know the back streets and all the shortcuts really well. Caldren also ends up learning how to travel by rooftop.

8. What part of your WIP are you working on right now?

Filling in all the spots I skipped over when I did NaNoWriMo last year. I feel like I'm getting so close to being finished and then I realize there are whole chapters I skipped because I wasn't sure what exactly was going on in it. I guess it's technically still in the first draft but I feel like I've changed things and filled in so many plot holes that it's gotta be at least the third draft 😅

9. What aspects (tropes, maybe?) will you think draw your audience in?

One big thing is the found family with Caldren and Peg.

Besides that:

- Assassins

- Dystopian, but not super disturbing or graphic

- The fact that it's a Christian YA (?) book that not super annoying and cliche. (I hope 😅)

10. What are your hopes for your WIP?

Right now I just want to get the whole draft finished. My long-term hopes are to finish up the rest of the series, because this whole backstory prequel for Caldren isn't as meaningful if you don't have the context of the rest of the series.

When I started shipping them: october 2020 when i started jatp (maybe a before i even watched tbh i saw some fan stuff i think)

My thoughts: i desperately wanted to see how they developed through season 2 and i am so upset we won’t get to

What makes me happy about them: in terms of representation, i love how casual it was and how their romance was important to the plot, if it wasn’t included it would’ve changed the show completely. but just as characters i love how willie encouraged alex to grow and was there for him when he was freaking out. i love how pure alex’s crush was on willie, he was just a 17 year old kid who somehow found a cute boy in the afterlife 25 years after his death. i also appreciate the angst in the second half of the show

What makes me sad about them: willie will never canonically know that alex isn’t gone forever and they will never officially be boyfriends

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: i have a confession and it’s that i don’t really think i’ve read many willex fanfics, definitely not enough to have pet peeves

Things I look for in fanfic: the few i’ve read i appreciate a good balance of angst and fluff and i like seeing people’s interpretations of post-canon

My wishlist: willex rain kiss

Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: i’m not a fan of present day lalex so tbh no one?

Gotta say, while I got you here, absolutely LOVE your art! I see your pieces on my dash every day and god I don't know how you have the motivation to do all that in a DAY, I've been burnt out for lord knows how long and have only been able to do small doodles here and there 🥺

It'd be really great if three houses went the way three hopes did and let the player end the game with any character as either gender of Byleth, maybe even remove the cgs including Byleth and draw new ones like the current ones for bi/pan characters if they don't want to draw two. Like how Rhea for example has the same cg for both Byleths

Sexuality has little to no role in fe3h as a whole, personally I think no character is strictly straight (Edit: I mean this as in Sexuality is not used in any characterization at all)

Sylvain MIGHT be the exception here, but also I've been saying since I got the game that everyone would have gone wild if he got an S Support with M!Byleth. I know I would have been excited to see Sylvain on my S Support list at the end of the game

Could you imagine how beautiful that scene would have been?

Sylvain's S Support with F!Byleth just feels janky. Weird. It's out of character for him. It could have been done well, but I think the writers got to a roadblock because part of Sylvain's character is NOT settling down

Thoughts on the Voice

I have never watched the US voice, I watched this season becos of Niall and I swear he did so good also the show was so entertaining? Definitely in Niall's wheelhouse of cheesy jokes, feel good artist supporting artist energy and such wholesome funny

I love how the Voice emphasizes the Voice duh and I think it feels so much more drama free than xfactor (granted I only watched one season and I do not have much experience with music talent shows)

But it's so wholesome it's not Abt the sob stories it's such a unique marketing tactic to use coaches who are already very established and great entertainers to sell the show and give it the fun and watchability

The skits are Soo cheesy but it's such good fun

Im so happy that u really didn't need much sob story or personal story at least in my opinion frm the clips it really emphasized the rehearsals and technical aspects of performance much more

Love Kelly Clarkson, Blake and Chance so much they are so funny and brilliant coaches. The banter between all four of them is top notch they are all so witty and personable

Gina my girl I'm so proud and definitely gonna watch out for ur music ur wicked game performance I have rewatched so so so many times. Pay attention to dynamics so that u can really highlight ur voice and range

I love Kala 💕 her voice is incredible and I love the duet Skinny Love with Gina and her blind performance both sides now so much I am definitely watching out for her in the future guys go sub to her YouTube channel.

Ryley Tate is so cutee and his voice is so unique and high u are a classic unique singer I believe u will go far I mean he have quite an intense fan base already. I love his cover of Billie Ellish I have also rewatched that so so many timess

Michael B was the dark horse but ur duet of heartbreak aniversary the runs were Soo goodd I love that duet. His voice is so theatrical and powerful. I loved seeing him prove to everyone his powerful voice also he reminds me of Evan Hansen and Harry Potter (lol in the Shawn Mendes cover)

Laura Littleton is so cute and energeticc in her blinds Sign of the Times and terrific song choice and making it ur own. I wish her Battles was more suited to her I can understand why she was assigned to the song and the battle but I wish she did more with it

Not to be all about Niall's contestants but tbh I only watched theirs but I saw Cait's performance of Whitney dude was so good and so powerful she really popped! Also the blinds for Holly Brand Im not a country person but dude that control was so impressive what a big voice. Also Mariah Kalia's blinds mad impressive tone and strong voice I respect ur decision to go with Chance girl for that hip hop stuff.

Banter wise so many iconic moments with Blake Kelly and Chance lol the I have glasses pitch and the chair turning and the dad-son dynamic and the duet with Kelly they look like they have so much fun on set such great coaches this season. Wish we could have gotten more of Blake Niall next season but let see how its gonna go

Oh, boy, Duscur talk. Poor Rodrigue. He lost a best friend and two sons that day 😭I still hope Felix forgives him. I really don't think Rodrigue did anything wrong.

So I had to look up who Lady Patricia was again, and please, dear God, no. Please tell me Dimitri's step-mother didn't arrange that.

The writers are like - how much trauma can we shove into one character: all of it. Oh, wait, oh wait, let's have his step-mother arrange his brutal death too! Oh, great idea. 😑

HOLY SHIT - DIMITRI ALMOST DIED AT DUSCUR. HE DIDN'T TELL ME THAT. OMG. All this time.

So he spent the whole time talking about how everyone else got hurt and didn't even mention he ALMOST DIED 😭😭😭😭. This character makes my heart hurt.

So are we gonna see Patricia again? Is she part of that evil mage group?? God I hope not.

Oh, no, the messenger to the Alliance got killed. That explains how the game is going to be like - no two lords for you! - even when it makes more sense to team up in AM. Did this happen in VW too? That would explain why Dimitri didn't want to join Claude tbh.

Alright - the battle. Thankfully I have Bernie recruited so no more fires for her, poor thing.

Lysithea and Ignatz are on here though. I'm assuming Claude retreats? Probably not the other two. But I'm trying to stick to the "kill everyone" (or I guess I should say "Kill every last one of them!" lol).

Gotta have Dimitri fight Claude and Edelgard to get that sweet-sweet dialogue.

Dimitri's just going to solo the alliance troops. Batallion Wrath/Vantage/Retribution is one hell of a drug. Just gotta watch out for gambits, but only really worried about Claude tbh.

Claude's range is too big, which is why Dimitri's taking that route. Thematically I'd love to watch him just solo all the Empire troops, but I can't risk Claude flying around if I want that unique battle dialogue.

LAMO - Byleth crit Hubert. Though, interesting note. In VW, Dedue insists he can still fight when he's defeated, and Dimitri tells him to get off the battlefield and live (rudely). Hubert says he needs to retreat, and Edelgard says nothing about his injuries.

Oh, shit, Petra too. Didn't see her there.

And now Leonie and Hilda too. Does Hilda retreat like Hubert and Dedue?

So Leonie, Lysithea, and Ignatz are dead. Hilda, Petra, and Hubert retreated. Hubert really likes to show up, get his ass handed to him, and then retreat. Who do you end up doing this to more, Hubert or the Death Knight?

Guys, I think Dimitri might have an issue with Edelgard. If you let them fight each other in VW, does he say the same thing?

will most likely do a part 2 with more boys at a later date! these got freakishly long because i am, at my core, a very mad. also might revisit as i get re-familiar with the characters, i just had this idea floating around in my head. also the way these got pro

no matter who he texts, it’s always extremely extra. not only does he always give more information than you asked for – ex. if you text him wya? he will give you a play by play of his entire route or something

 he also uses tons of emoticons. and yes I do mean emoticons, baby boy has a flip phone. ifhe does eventually get a smart phone, then this boy overuses tf out of emojis. he’s the sort of person that sees someone use a combination of emojis he likes and then tries to copy them, but uses it completely incorrectly, but its v cute.

if you send him a meme, he will respond with an unnecessary amount of hahas. 

when he’s texting his lil bae, they’re always on his mind so he ofc texts them every thought that comes to his mind! when he sees something that reminds him of you, he won’t hesitate to share it with you. 

if you have been together for a long time, then we will definitely text you words of affirmation and be very honest/blunt about how he feels about you. he’s also always sure to ask you about your day - and he seriously cares. but i still i feel like with a s/o he would prefer facetime to texting just because he likes to see you :)

overall, a very adorable texter and his enthusiasm is just as contagious when texting as it is in person. he’s kind of clueless so he doesn’t pick up on subtext. so be blunt, just like he will be with you~

my bias might be showing here, but I feel like he is one of the most well-adjusted boys in terms of being ready for a serious relationship tbh (at least post-high school). i mean we all saw that he regularly corresponded with wakana wish that were me lmao

i think he would most often use proper capitalization, but not to the point where he uses a period after every text

would send his friends news articles about his favorite fighting games where u like gaming or not

a meme fiend in general. the sort of person who uses reaction images of people he knows. (if you’re dating, he would still have a stash of funny pics/screenshots of you on ft, but he’d ofc only use them with you <3). his convos with his friends are rarely serious

 i don’t think he’d be the type to text haha out loud, but he does use LOL on occasion. with close friends/his lil bae he might send a voice memo of him laughing hysterically if you send him something REALLY funny. ugh my annoying king <3

unlike eijun he’s the king of being perceptive / picking up subtext. 

similarly, i do think he’s pretty reliable, but for friends i feel like he might make a lil bit of a stink lmao. like lets say a friend wants him to pick something up for them, he might play like he won’t do it then miraculously shows up with the requested item. its giving tsundere vibes on the low.

with his partner: i feel like he would use emojis when he’s trying to be ~cute~. i think with a established partner he’d be pretty flirty still but he’s v much whipped for his partner so its way more mushy than it would be early in the relationship.

he’s a blushy/shy boy with his s/o esp early in the relationship, so he might be hesitant or nervous to say “i love you” or anything like that outright, but you know anyway, which just makes the times when he does outright say it that much sweeter.

i mean it goes without saying that this man is snarky. he’s not a meme king himself but he enjoys when people send them to him and will usually play off the meme to make his own jokes.

i feel like he also likes deep-fried memes or the very abstract, post-modern memes. miyuki is good at making other people laugh, but he has a generally very-off brand humor and the things that make him cackle hardest are either at someone else’s expense (very similar to kuramochi, so they bond a lot over that) or just indiscernible without access to a huge layer of context/background

saves the reaction photos kuramochi sends him, but doesn’t usually use them. but seeing an ugly pic of eijun yelling never fails to make him grin LMAO

i think he also texts A LOT about baseball, even more so than these other baseball dummies. texts his teammates a lot of articles he reads or clips from games/cool plays. this is mostly about texts, but in terms of social media I think miyuki uses twitter/instagram the most especially for baseball related reasons, while kuramochi uses snapchat the most. 

he probably texts a lot about baseball as well, both seriously and playfully

i can see him using hahas and LOLs in equal measure, but he would also utilize the haha reaction if he had an iphone. this boy does value his wit so he would definitely have commentary about any memes or jokes he’s sent

you won’t win a joke war against him, he will definitely one-up whatever you send him with either a one-liner or another joke. how tf does he do it?

definitely ignores people/conversations if he really wants to - but ofc he never does that to his BAE

if miyuki give you a dry one-line response...he’s not interested at all or he’s feeling frustrated about something else. but when he’s really happy? he will text his friends all the time and spam them! i see him as someone who enjoys texting when he has the attention span/state of mind for it. and when he’s texting his s/o his texting gets even more ~flavorful~

wit his lil bae: i don’t think miyuki would switch it up much w his s/o. is probably even more teasing with you over text than he is with his friends, which is saying something.

like talking with you just by nature of you being his partner. prob prefers texts to facetime because text kinda allows for maximum snark

if he’s traveling for work or something, will definitely relish in you guys binge texting a tv show or something but just making funny commentary (or he’ll just send you funny commentary to get a reaction)

sometimes when texting him you’ll want to beat his a*s because he can be so cheeky but its endearing in a way. he definitely adds emojis to the end of his more annoying messages to give it that loveable vibe (and it works ofc, we love u miyuki)

he’s kinda clingy on the low so i think he’d prefer a partner that’s more open with their affection via text than he is. he would live for your random ilys or whatver throughout the day. also would not mind at all if you updated him on your actions throughout the day or sent him snaps - might not be able to respond to everything, but will react and appreciate it. very likely to make jokes about whatever you’re doing.

would also apologize over text. he’s not always used to apologizing can be awkward about it, so text makes it easier for him.

i’m literally cracking up thinking about texting him. he is one of my ultimate baes but im sorry i just know he texts dry asf. but its part of his charm!

has a flip phone. either never upgrades or gets the chunkiest most basic android if he is forced to

the thing is this man thinks that he is infusing all his texts with, like, tajin level seasoning, when in reality its pepper

uses punctuation. always. exclamation marks are used sparingly to express excitement.

but i can’t get the image out of my head of an upset tetsuya texting you a simple angry emoji (or the angry emoticon >:( LOL) if he’s reeeeeeally mad. but its v cute i can’t take him seriously. i just want to give him a hug <3

 but you know what he is so PASSIONATE about whatever he’s talking about that his passion bleeds into his text through sheer quantity of words and depth of thought. ultimately, all his conversations end up being extremely flavorful in terms of content. he is surprisingly good at having deep conversations over text.

he’s better at holding conversations with more extroverted personalities, truthfully.

he’s another one who sends random things to people when he thinks about them. miyuki of course gets so many texts/thoughts about shogi. if you get a random haiku, poem, or quote from testu, that means you’re blessed enough to be in his inner circle! he definitely thought of you when he read it and and wants you to respond!

with bae: he doesn’t really change up his texting style tbh, but he has a stronger outward reaction to what YOU text in response.

definitely the type to smile almost imperceptibly at his phone as he texts you, even if you send him something like “hey i’m at the store, want anything?”

he’s not great as verbal affection early in the relationship, so you’ll have to discern his love/affection. however baby boy is NOT afraid to just straight up say he loves you, he does it all the time and early.

he’s KNOWN for being reliable and responsible, so he will be at your beck and call when he’s able to for anything you need, but his heart is also warmed by the thought of you reciprocating that care. if your texts show him you’re thinking of him just like he does too. he’s very gentle and sweet, and checks up on you when he’s able to see if you need anything at all.

he might be reliable, but that doesn’t mean that he’s the quickest guy to respond to texts. he’s a busy guy, and he doesn’t think about his phone all the time, but he will always get back to you (bae does not play when it comes to completing things).

if they came up with a shogi game for gamepidgeon and tetsu had an iphone, your phone probably would be spammed with requests for games lol.

It felt like the whole world was on your shoulders, pushing you deeper underwater. You couldn't breathe despite the crisp air, your lungs aching with every breath. What would be comforting silence was unbearable, especially when Tendou's eyes refused to meet yours, a hint of a scowl hiding beneath his forced neutral expression. It was a bad idea to invite him out, but he did agree to this. You sat on the soft grass of a park near school, watching the shiny blue ripples of the pond rock back and forth. Spring was supposed to be a time of clarity, but your mind was more muddled than ever. The sweet scent of fresh blossoms made your head spin and your stomach churn. More than anything, your heart felt heavier with each passing second. You were unaware Tendou shared the same weight as well.

With you beside him, he was at a loss for words. He was stuck in a cave of his unspoken thoughts, unable to see the light. He wasn't sure where to start or if he had the courage to speak. He pondered on Semi's words, cursing him for clouding him in that air of mystery. He glanced at you, chest growing tighter upon seeing your pained face. Could he fix things? 

Tendou took a deep breath.

He turned to you and all his thoughts slipped away. The words weighing on his tongue disappeared, leaving him with a blank slate and a frozen mind. You looked perfect like this, the slight flutter of your lashes as the wind kissed your cheeks, your fingers entwined in your lap—how he wished it was his lips on your skin and his hands tangled in yours. His cheeks grew hot in adoration and shame. He couldn’t believe he nearly let you go.

"(Y/N)..." Tendou immediately bit his tongue. He hadn’t mean to say that.

You turned toward him with a pained smile. "Yes, Satori?"

He could've melted right then and there. His name sounded so sweet on your tongue, so soft and fragile. You treated it with delicacy, a treasure to cherish. He wondered if you'd ever say it like that again.

He looked away. "I... I'm sorry."

"For avoiding me."

It wasn't a question, but rather a statement you both knew the answer to. Tendou was sorry for that, and he was sorry for himself for being blinded by his jealousy and rage. He hurt you and you still stuck with him. He was still hurting you now, refusing to give you any hint of the storm brewing within, all his feelings encapsulated in his fragile body, forcing their way out.

"How do you put up with me?" Tendou crushed a handful of grass. “I’m a piece of shit.”

Your eyes widened, brows furrowed in shock. "You’re kidding, right?"

Tendou let out a harsh scoff and shook his head. Of course he wasn’t. He’d rather you push him away, scream at him to leave, than have you toy with his heart. He wasn’t cut out for love, but he was than willing to try for you—no, with you. The question was, did you want that?

Of course you did, but he was oblivious.

Tendou gulped. "I've been terrible to you, (Y/N)."

"You're far from that."

"(Y/N)-"

"Satori." He jumped when your hand landed on top of his, gentle but firm. Despite your warm smile, he saw how frustrated you were. "Stop saying all those things about yourself. You’re a hell of a lot better than I am.”

His lips parted in shock, throat becoming tight while your grip loosened. You looked up to him—it made his chest swell with pride, but he also felt worse. You left him open to your next attack. You stretched him thin, made him soft, cradled his heart in your hands. You had the power to change him, to either create or destroy something great. Tendou had no means to defend himself. What could he do now besides listen? 

You made him vulnerable. You made him happy. You made him feel loved.

The storm inside him was beginning to creep through, the first sign being his thumb wiping the stray eyelash on your cheek. You saw everything—the regret and agony swirling behind his eyes, the slight quiver of his lip. For the first time, Tendou would no longer try to block anything or anyone; he'd bare all his feelings for you.

You let out a shaky breath. Your body had gravitated towards his, shoulders pressed against each other. He sensed the hesitation and fear behind your next words. "You're my first love, Satori. I want you to be my only love."

Tendou lost himself in your gaze, drowning in the endless adoration. Your noses were almost touching now, and he could feel your breath on his cheek. His line of sight flitted to your parted lips. He found himself leaning towards you until his skin was on yours. You kissed him, a wordless conversation shared between two pairs of entwined lips. Tendou didn't need them; his body did all the talking. Your hands snaked into his hair, his gently gripping your wrists. Your kisses were intoxicating, slow and passionate, and leaving him to ache for more. It was ten times sweeter than the accidental kiss now that he knew where your heart lay. 

The storm had finally escaped, but rather than a violent downpour, it was a ray of warm clarity and sunny skies. Your bodies felt lighter ten times than before, the tension on your shoulders lifted. You fit so well in his arms as did he, like the final piece in a complex puzzle. His movements continued to grow bolder until you lightly pushed him away with a grin, forehead resting against his.

A heavy fog clouded his mind, but one thing was clear; he could do this for the rest of his life. He was speechless but satisfied, a grin tugging at his tingling lips. Tendou already craved the feeling of yours on his, and he longed for when he could do it again, though he knew it would be soon. The four words that followed after solidified the warmth that spread within, a sense of content and harmony in his previously nerve-wracking day. 

“I love you, Satori.”

His arms wrapped around your waist to pull you against his chest. He didn’t mind if you could feel his thumping heart. If anything, he wanted you to—only you could make him feel this way. Tendou was glad his guesses had been wrong for once. Your heart belonged to him, and his to you. 

He kept his nose pressed against your cheek, smiling. The tips of your ears grew hot when he placed a featherlight kiss on your jaw, all ounces of shame and uncertainty washed away.

"I love you, too, (Y/N)."

“So-” You murmured against his temple, fingers slotted between his. “Turn this into a real date?”

He grinned. “Wouldn’t have it any other way.”

a/n: okay...where do i begin? i started this smau back in january after i reblogged a fic title game and an anon sent in “text me now with a member of shiratorizwa.” i chose tendou and thought it was a cute idea. i even said that it’d be a great smau but had no intention of doing anything with the idea, until @theuntamedmulti reblogged and said she wanted this potential smau to exist—and out came this series.

tbh i was really excited but also hesitant. the last series i tried to make when i first started my blog ended up being deleted and discontinued. i’m really bad at completing series in general, so to have this one be a success is a huge accomplishment for me.

i remember finishing all of the smau parts within a span of 2-3 days (which is why some of the timestamps are set in january lol).

Currently Watching (Binging)

Checkmate I love Agatha Christie and I am loving how they are adapting her stories so far! I find Poirot a bit irritating (I’m more of a Miss Marple fan) so I have been greatly loving Si Tu Yan especially in the Poirot parts - he is a huge improvement. I am not very familiar with the Republic Era of China so it is giving me lots of things to research later.

Currently Watching (Airing)

About Youth which is so good! The characters are so soft and layered and have very different conflicts, and I am loving watching them support each other

The Eclipse also phenomenal! I love how aggressively P’Golf and the scriptwriters are being with their political/social commentary, and both First and Khao are such fantastic actors. Every time Khao cries a piece of my heart dies forever 

180 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us this is shaping up to be one of my favourites of the year, it has a very moody-queer-film vibe with highly complex characters and relationships

Takara-kun to Amagi-kun I am warming up to this one, I was pleasantly surprised with the very frank discussion of readiness for sex, sexual boundaries, and how much care Takara-kun is showing in his understanding of consent. I really value seeing these kinds of open and honest discussions becoming more commonplace in media for teenagers, it reminds me of a similar storyline that recently ran in the Heartstopper comic. 

Girlfriend Project Day 1 (I know it’s technically not airing but it only ended this week so I am keeping it in this column because I haven’t completely finished the last ep) I am enjoying it a lot, they did an absolutely fantastic kiss scene which I wasn’t expecting, so that was nice. It’s retreading the same ground as Love Class, and I wish it had the same run time as that series so I could compare and contrast the 2 series better, but alas. The curse of painfully short GLs.

My Only 12% Cake is the best character of all time, he is such a kind and caring friend. I am scared the whole time watching this show because I am waiting for it to trample my heart because Wabi Sabi.

Vice Versa I am a bit behind on this and having been watching through gifs for the last couple of eps tbh. I am having trouble letting go of my expectation of a more sci-fi based show featuring lots of archery. If I can manage to do that I think there is lots to enjoy for what the show is, my expectations were just simultaneously drastically different and extremely high.

Never Let Me Go this is one of my most anticipated shows of the year, I love mafia settings and I am hoping for lots of angst, drama and betrayal

Wish You Luck the trailer was amazing! I am chomping at the bit for next summer, I am loving the greater variety of genres we are getting and Tonnam was fantastic in Triage

Nighttime in the Suburb I have some anxiety as always about how the asexual character will be handled, but I also tend to trust the Philippines on handling more unusual queer storylines so

Art Adore En I was sold as soon as I saw a polycule in the trailer, it looks like exactly my kind of messy

Chains of Heart the synopsis looks great! Very pulpy and dramatic!

Moonlight Chicken P’Aof and EarthMix are some of my favourites, and I am curious where they go with a very different storyline than they have done before

Summerdaze I loved the mock trailer for this, I really hope there is news soon. I want them to open another crowfunding campaign because I missed the first le sigh

I am also impatiently waiting for an adaptation of Transplant to be announced, Sammon adaptations are always great and I just really need TanBunn back
