Style experimentation feat. zim and dib (rough chronological order). This is the most fun I've had drawing in a long time!! Still kind of in shock over it.
This all started from Two Things: A.) I've been looking at animatics in preparation to make a ✨Portfolio✨, and B.) I saw some fanart that had me making heart eyes and I still can't stop looking at it.
When I first started this invader zim kick a couple months ago, I didn't think it was going to lead me down this path. I thought I was going to draw some of the characters in "my style", and eventually move onto something else. I don't know HOW it ended up being this sort of retrospective muse for me, where I'm challenging myself and trying new things. Maybe iz isn't the cause, maybe this would have happened regardless of what characters I was drawing. But here we are.
And I am so so so happy for it because I USED to draw like this all the time!!! This is what my sketchbook used to look like!! And somehow I just?? Forgot? That I could draw this way. That there wasn't anything stopping me. And that it would be so FUN. You can literally draw, and make the characters less detailed, but simultaneously more exaggerated and expressive, AND you can make more drawings in less time?? Ive always been a quantity over quality person when it comes to drawing, and i think its the animator in me that loves drawing like that. I was drawing all day yesterday. I didn't want to put the pencil down, and it's been a long time since I've felt that way about drawing. I had so much fun and I don't want to draw any other way ever again...That's just how I feel right now at least.
I swear, I probably come off as the most wishy washy person. First I messed around with zims design multiple times, now I'm inking stuff, now I'm drawing cartoonier. THIS IS NEW FOR ME I SWEAR... its been a long long time since ive let myself draw this way. I guess I just hadn't realized how much I was restricting myself.
Anyway, rough chronological order. The first adult dib page (second to last image) was actually the first one I drew. You can tell from the last page that I used the shapes n such from the kid dib on the older dib to make it look more like him. The big forehead is actually pretty crucial lol

I have concrete evidence--not even concrete, more like steel reinforced BRICKwork with scaffolding support level of evidence that Taekook isn't real. Okay, like I promise I'm not a Kookminer. I'm really not. My bias is actually Suga and I used to like Yoongmin so I have no dog in this fight BUT---
I accidentally watched five Kookjiminie videos on YouTube and I saw something that now has me questioning; was Taekook ever real !?? In these videos (I wish I could find them but I can't sorry and they seem to have disappeared from my YouTube history) but I noticed a disturbing pattern. In one of these video clips, I noticed that Jimin's husband, Jungkook, blinked three times in a row at Jimin and only two times in a row at Taehyung and that's when I knew, Taekook was over. This might surprise some people who don't know me but I actually studied Body Language Language to an FBI level and I specialised specifically in Blinkage and Morse Code of The Eye. I have attended every YouTube tutorial video in that free online course so I can assure you my skills are legit.
Don't get me wrong. I do think Taekook dated when they were like 17 or something but then I also think Taehyung's soulmate and Tae's boyfriend fell in love with each other and just couldn't help but have an affair or maybe Tae and Jimin's lover, Jungkook, broke up and then Jimin decided to swoop in then and steal his soulmate + best friend's ex boyfriend because hoes before bros and dates before soulmates, right?
I know it might seem like I ship Jiminie❤️Kookie but I swear on my mother's grave that I don't. I'm actually more of a Jihopie shipper but listen, I grew up in an orphanage since birth and I've never had any family but myself so even before I became an expert Body Language expert, I knew better than anyone how to observe people's intentions and I hate (honestly I HATE) to say this but I think the real ship might be JiminKook4eva. I really do. I swear on my father's life that I don't ship it but I can't deny it that there's a LOT of evidence that they got married in Japan.
They were both in Japan for a start.
I know I probably won't convince you and I'm honestly not here to try to but I've got five more essays lined up about why you should listen to me and believe what I'm saying and stop shipping Taekook because let's be real, Taehyung has literally said that he hates it--and I know some people think he was talking about the fan fantasising about Jimin's life partner, Jungkook, but that's only one interpretation so he literally hates it.
Please, please listen to me for some reason. I don't really know what that reason is because I swear I'm not a J+M+RingFinger=JikookieMarried shipper at all!!
Just listen to me because you're going to be sorry and crying if you don't when you read my 10900 word dissertation of PURE concrete evidence with compiled pictures, videos, fanart and fan theory that I have attached to this ask. I used an AI program to help me put this portfolio together so obviously, you know that it's legit and 100% correct (Hopefully the attachment shows up but if not then I think it sadly might have disappeared with the YouTube videos)
Lots of love from ~Turn the V upside down and you get A for ARMY~ xx
Omg anon… you totally opened my eyes!

hello! im sorry if you get asked this a lot, but I was curious how you got into doing art ttrpg? and what should an interested artist have in their portfolio? thank you 💖
hi! so i wrote out a big "how to" before re-reading your message and considering you maybe just... asked how it happened for *me*, not necessarily how someone else should do it LOL. so, how it happened for me: i've been actively courting freelance art work since ~2009, and fantasy ttrpg is a natural extension of my interests - my portfolio was already full of world of warcraft fanart by the time ttrpgs & D&D really started having their modern moment. TTRPG is a good low-to-mid level place to find leads, as well, because the barrier for entry is super low for creators, which means a lot MORE projects to go around. (If you want to make a board game, your artist has to know a LOT about packaging, printing, manufacturing, graphic design, etc. if you wrote a D&D module and just want to publish it on itch.io? your artist only needs to know how to send you a decent sized .jpg.) as far as portfolio goes, when i started getting consistent replies to my cold emails, my portfolio had mostly covers and half-pages (ie, narrative illustrations), portraits, and animals. If you want to be more well-rounded you could also include pieces focusing on environments, items, and creatures. Don't include anything unless it's GOOD though. (i am so serious about this - bad work in your portfolio makes the good stuff look like a fluke.) now. if you wanted a "how to" answer, here is 600 words lol. I'm gonna start with the base assumption that your work is already hirable so we can focus on just like, specialization + client acquisition tips. getting a folio up to snuff is a whole other can of beans short version goes like this:
Tumblr media
this whole thing only works if you have the ability to honestly self-assess. new work & skills: you should have fresh stuff that's a snapshot of what you can do *right now.* this doesn't mean old work can't stay in your folio if it's still good, but a small, current folio that really hits is WAY better than a bloated old one with irrelevant studies or student work. new artistic peers: as you continue to evolve as a professional, you should have an idea of which other working artists your work is most similar to, in terms of skill/tone/specialties/other relevant skills (3D/graphic design/etc) in order to see how you stack up to your """competition""" for lack of a better word. Additionally those artistic peers have hangout zones (discords or FB groups, etc) where you can talk shop & pass around job leads. research peers' clients: research who those peers are contracting with. See if your work would be a fit for them; if so, find their contact info and put it on your list. Those clients are probably also promoting other similar projects or publishers on their feeds; twitter has a handy "you might also want to follow" list that has other similar accounts you can explore. You can also work backwards from the product to the creator (see any cool battle maps, CCGs, board games, etc? find out who made it and whether they're the ones doing the art hiring.) Additionally, those discords & fb groups I mentioned will have leads (of varying quality) shared around that you should be assessing as they come in. reach out to new batch of clients: cold email. be realistic about who's worth contacting, but don't self-disqualify. that part is a balance. art directors are people with problems to solve, and you need to be able to A. anticipate the problems they need solving, and B. confidently (and honestly) let them know exactly what you can do for them. Attach A FEW, SMALL, RELEVANT jpgs that they can easily download and keep for reference. do not send massive high res attachments, their inboxes are full enough as it is. If you're responding to a specific call, attach relevant pieces or curate a page on your portfolio site specifically for work that would fit the project. If reaching out to clients doesn't result in a lead - *or*, if it takes them 3 months to get back to you, you should spend that time doing your own stuff and bolstering your skills. eventually your portfolio will be good enough that it kicks down doors for you.
you'll notice i never included "be active on social media! post your new work! feed instagram's ad revenue by giving it more content!" in this strategy because it doesn't matter. i'm not professionally active on any social media. we were getting hired before twitter existed and we'll still get hired after it dies. just do make sure you have an online portfolio (your own website >> artstation >>> other free folio builders >>>>>>>>>>>> an instagram feed.) the more times you do this cycle the easier it gets; both because you'll just get good at every step of the process, and because more people will know you and have known you for *longer* so you seem like a safer bet. I'll be honest: it's a ton of rejection lmao. I would get a rejection in my inbox at least once a week - even more than that i'd just get radio silence. But eventually you'll get a yes, and if you're lucky that yes will result in high quality new work you're proud of and can put into your folio (taking you back to step 1 lol.)
the freelance life is (INSHALLAH!!!) behind me since i now have a full time job doing marketing/supporting art for video games. But my portfolio never would've gotten there if i didn't have the experience of going through the freelance meat grinder first. it really taught me how to be an actualized *creative* (who can stand up for her own expertise, think like a project manager, and take creative ownership of / responsibility for my assignments) and not just a hired hand. my team likes that. i think

Ok, so I'm back at my computer now, I've gotten through all my messages.
Time to break down this whole Scooby Doo AI fiasco and why the people defending it have all the integrity of a moldy piece of wood. Because I thought I should just put it behind me after the first day, until I saw more bullshit from people coming out of the woodworks, including people trying to come at me with false equivalencies they were so smug about. Putting this under a read-more so people don't get exasperated with this post stretching their dash/blog.
Before we get to the main argument, we have to address what happened. And even before we address what happened, let's make something clear for anyone who's just here to argue and detract from my main point:
The animator at the center of this doesn't deserve to be harassed. A discussion deserves to happen and people are allowed to express their displeasure. But the animator doesn't deserve to be dogpiled.
So the main gist of it is that an animator created a pseudo-stop motion Scooby Doo short crossed over with FNAF, in the style of Rankin' Bass stop motion. The thing that's got everyone in an uproar is the fact that he used AI voices for most of the other cast (to my understanding, he only did the voices for Shaggy and Scooby). This caused the whole shitshow that's going on at Twitter right now.
Now there's a lot for me to break down on this one; I've already explained most of what was wrong with the excuses people were trying to come up with for this guy (Whom for some reason, people are trying to paint him as this "poor widdle kid who's just following his passion-" GUYS he's FUCKING 23 YEARS OLD. HE'S AN ADULT). But I'm gonna recap most of them, and then some based on the new discourse that's been coming out.
>"He can't afford voice actors! He's a single indie animator just working on a passion project!"
You can put out a casting call and let people know that this is a portfolio project, and you would like to see if anyone is willing to do it for free. Lots of people online are pretty enthusiastic about joining fan-dubs or dubbing projects even if it doesn't pay, and if you advertise the premise, you will have PLENTY of takers.
Or, regardless of whether you sound like a character or not, you do it yourself, with family/friends helping for roles of the opposite gender. Your credits should look like this:
Tumblr media
(Credits are from Matthew Gafford's "A Fox in Space Episode 2")
Or, additionally, you can collab with dubbing productions like Alex Henderson did for "Return to Krocodile Isle" with Bootleg Dub Productions:
youtube
The bottom line is that there's no excuse for resorting to AI, especially if you claim to hate AI. You're just a hypocrite.
>"So you hate fanart then!"
NOT REMOTELY COMPARABLE. If you wanna compare this to fanart, this is the equivalent of tracing over someone else's work without their permission and adding a side note that it doesn't belong to you. The fanart/voice comparison only works when you're doing an IMPRESSION of a character. AI is plagiarizing someone's voice with existing content. Someone doing Sonic voice impressions based on a specific actor is the equivalent of fanart, while using a Sonic AI voice of the existing actor is the tracing.
>"You must hate YTPs where they splice together or isolate certain audio!"
THAT'S NOT COMPARABLE EITHER, DIPSHIT. YTPs are done using PRE-EXISTING recorded lines that the actors were compensated for! AI is generating entirely brand new "recordings" that the actors have no compensation for! Actors like Long John Baldry with the famous "PINGAS" line or Gary Schwartz with "Pootis" were asked to record those lines, and paid for it. You're generating brand new content with an AI voice that they were not asked to record, nor compensated for.
>"This was for his portfolio! It's a harmless indie project!"
See, this one is harmful to the animator specifically. A big thing I've learned about the animation industry, having learned from my friend who went to art school, having learned under famous animators, and having collaborated/cooperated with a LOT of her peers, is that the animation industry is a buddy-system team effort. Want to make an animation with voices? Hey, these guys over here want to be VAs and are looking for any kind of little work they can to see if they can get the hang of it. Cool, let's work on this together! Now, when you're an animator with a portfolio using AI, you've essentially told your peers to go fuck themselves. In addition to that, you're telling your potential employers these details about yourself that you may not want them thinking:
You have no moral integrity and you're willing to cut corners when put into an unfavorable situation.
You're dishonest, and you'll cheat out other people who could stand to benefit from having a role in your portfolio.
You're unintuitive, and can't think outside the box when it comes to resources being scarce.
You're lazy and unwilling to look for an ethical solution if you're lacking important aspects of your projects like the voice actors.
And even worse, these people defending this situation are bouncing between "It's a passion project, who cares!" and "It's a portfolio, who cares!" PICK ONE, BECAUSE THERE'S A VAST DIFFERENCE IN NUANCE BETWEEN "FUN PASSION PROJECT" AND "SERIOUS PORTFOLIO WORK".
>"AI isn't hurting the integrity of art or harming anyone!"
Hi, remember when Erica Lindbeck asked a Youtuber to remove their video of her voice being used in AI to sing a song? And did so professionally and even stated the person she contacted was very sweet and understanding about it? AND PEOPLE FUCKING CHASED HER OFF OF TWITTER BECAUSE SHE HAD AN ISSUE WITH HER VOICE, HER FUCKING VOICE, BEING USED IN WAYS SHE DIDN'T CONSENT FOR? It wasn't just about the silly AI parodies, she even said, and I quote, "It's not about *this* video in particular or *this* creator specifically. I've had a content creator make an AI video of my character [referring to her character of Loona on TV show Helluva Boss] saying disparaging remarks regarding the show I was on. Literally putting words in my mouth that could easily be taken as mine. As an artist, that is so terrifying. I absolutely believe these people are making this stuff for fun, and are not fully aware of the negative effects AI content could have on the people whose voices they're using. I never meant for this creator to be dogpiled." And people still decided to attack her and just further disrespect her wishes. People refused to treat her like a fucking human being because the shiny keys they drool over and play with are violating and intrusive, after all the horrible shit she's gone through the year before with losing her boyfriend Billy Kametz. What it's doing is solidifying the perception that "AI is no big deal and who cares what people do with it, just let us have fun you fucking stuck-up asshole".
>"It's fine when small-time indie creators are using it, it just shouldn't be done by big corporations".
And now you've just admitted you have no fucking integrity. If corporations are looking at all these AI covers and AI projects being done on small scale, why should they give a shit if they do it too? I mean, everybody's doing it right? Who cares?
You're just affirming their notion that actors deserve to be cheated out of their work.
I'm sure there's a billion other excuses that some of these chucklefucks are going to come up with, but in the meantime, these are the biggest arguments I've seen (some people trying to argue with me DIRECTLY) coming from people. And I GUARANTEE these hypocrites are going to be coming out of the woodwork screaming when the next story breaks that a corporation is doing the exact same thing, or when it happens to someone they actually like. I know this isn't going to change anyone's mind if they're already set on treating VAs as non-humans, but if you're concerned about AI and actually have a moral backbone, these arguments are here for you if you need some good solid reasoning to fight back with.
Edit: Since making this post, I’ve calmed my shit down significantly more. I realize I’ve tended to come off as way too unapproachable whenever I tackle any sort of discourse, usually because I’m coming right off of a personal argument with someone else. And that blinds me to the fact that there are people out there who are nothing like the asshats I’ve just been arguing with.
So honestly and truly, if you have a good counterpoint, come and engage in the conversation. We’ll approach this civilly and see if we can’t at least gain a perspective, even if we still disagree with each other in the end.

Heyo!!! I forgot to say this but I technically passed my college interview!!!!
I got a conditional offer so as long as I pass my English and art exams in May I have a spot on the course!!! Aswell as if I somehow fuck one or both of them up I still have a safety net of if I bring in an improved portfolio that shows evidence of improvement and dedication I still have a chance to get in!!!
So that's what these drawings are! I'm shooting to try and get one page of study done a day to improve my art so don't expect me to post much fanart from now on. Of course I'll still occasionally post fanart but I'm putting all my energy into improving my art, doing studies and creating a good portfolio for college!
In my own opinion I'm really lacking on what I could be doing in my art and I'm looking to really change that now, I was making small steps since around August last year but now is the time I'm really taking this really seriously. I'm trying to not beat myself up about it and trying to stay positive by thinking of how much improvement I've made with those little steps and thinking of how much more I can make with these bigger ones!
So yeah! Don't expect a whole load of fanart any time soon as a lot of what I'll post from here on out will be studies!
Also thank you to @seryojiinn for giving me some tips on improving and generally just giving me a lot of motivation to really improve my art! Their arts freaky as hell and I love it and honestly it's a major contributor to making me want to take art seriously alongside the things I like such as Off and Omori!
And if anyone reading this has some sources for improving art they'd like to share please do I'm taking absolutely all the help and advice I can get one this!!! When I say sources I mean just about anything, advice, websites, videos or even some portfolio examples! I want to go into college with my absolute best and really push myself to do some great stuff!!!
Sorry for writing so much but this is just about the most motivation I've felt in my life and I'm not letting it get away from me

update for the 4 of you reading this that care (this isn't meant to be pessimistic I just mean that very few of my friends follow me on here lol)
I feel like my art has been stagnating for a long time and it's mostly because I limit myself to fandoms and the attention I get for my fanart messes with the way I value my self-worth so a few months back I decided I wanted to start doing a lot more with my art to gain more personal fulfillment and to give myself a direction i actually wanted to take it in so that i felt like i was making progress and going somewhere with it. I was making plans to create a proper portfolio of things that weren't star wars yaoi or the dudes from fall out boy fucking, and I was planning on launching a YouTube channel where I posted speedpaints and stuff and I actually made some decent progress
I drew something I was really proud of and I knew the content in it would be pretty popular despite still technically being fanart, and I had a time-lapse recorded for it and everything, I was even halfway through the script. I also had a number of original drawings I'd done that I never posted anywhere and I felt like by this time I should have been able to properly launch this stuff and start taking appropriate steps to have my art reach a wider audience.
butttttt then my laptop died suddenly and randomly (i was literally using it just fine, i lifted it up from my lap and it shut off and wouldnt turn back on) and it's been in the repair shop for a week and they still don't know what's wrong with it. they think it's a motherboard issue and if it ends up being at least $600 to repair it I'm just getting a new laptop. I think they can transfer the data on the hard drive to an external that I have and if so that'd be wonderful because that laptop contains all the work I've been doing these last few months for this thing I wanna do with my art.
thankfully since then my roommate is letting me have one of his backup gaming pcs (he works in tech so he has plenty) and I've been able to get set up there in case I need to start my progress over, but the issue is that it's a Linux and clip studio literally doesn't work with Linux because the desktop version of the program apparently relies on either edge being installed if it's windows, or safari being installed if it's Mac. so I can't sign in or download the full version, I'm stuck with the super limited trial version, and because of this I've been trying to get comfortable with Krita. which thankfully can record time-lapses.
my mental health has only been improving since moving to Seattle despite some pretty low lows so thankfully, even though this is uh a pretty big deal all things considered, I'm handling it really well. I had one horrible encounter with a psychiatrist when trying to get treatment for my anxiety and adhd, but since my insurance here sucks since I'm poor and nothing has worked for my other issues I've been fortunate to be able to see doctors about, I've officially become a crystal mommy and I've resorted to ~alternative medicines~ and as a result I've had a considerable amount of improvement in a very short amount of time with the things I've struggled with getting help with from a professional psychiatrist. so yeah, I'm only getting better
biggest issue that still impacts me is that my attempts at befriending people irl have not borne much fruit, granted I haven't been trying super hard but with a huge covid spike coming up soon, said weak attempts are going to have to be put on hold for the time being. especially since the main thing I was literally going to do as soon as Christmas was over was join this drawing group that meets up every other Sunday, but now I don't have my laptop so it'll just have to wait regardless of what the state of things are looking like otherwise
uhhh what else. oh yeah I got into Chinese yaoi and Indian cinema and I got out of my head enough to start playing genshin impact again so basically I'm a huge faggot ama
OH SHIT I forgot to mention I got another horrible job and I'm kind of trapped into keeping it for at least a year unless something catastrophic happens because it's giving me really important experience in the field I'm trying to go into, but when I say it sucks I mean it's probably the most disorganized place I've ever worked at that wasn't a locally owned franchise. I work at an open-access low income healthcare organization that's all over Seattle so when I say it's terrible and disorganized I think you get the picture
anyway I don't know how often I'll be on here but I'm bored and lonely and scrolling through tumblr seems like a better use of my time than spending an entire shift looking at r/shittyfoodporn

The state of things going forward
Let’s be clear. Despite Illegal bindings and spellings of fanfiction, I will not stop making fanfiction.
I have stopped using Character AI for a few reasons:
1. AI is getting out of control. Sora AI can perfectly replicate movies and television, removing the need for actors, streamers, influencers, film writers, directors ect. Basically, AI is endangering the entertainment industry as a whole. I have pulled out of the character AI community and will soon be pulling any mentions of AI from my tumblr, as I had already done so from my YouTube, TikTok, and Reddit. I apologize for using this technology, as it has no place in the entertainment industry period. AI is stealing jobs when it could really be used to cleaning our oceans, solving world hunger, and refreezing the poles. I have tried to refrain from making political statements on this blog, but when the arts are at risk, I cannot just stand by. Coupled with the recent attacks on fanfiction due to illegal sellers, character AI and other platforms could decimate the community.
2. I am pulling out of the character AI community and AI as a whole also because I feel like it was making me lazy with my own creativity. I would waste countless hours on Character AI writing less than (how can I put this… wholesome.) which includes a lot of iffy things that the average person would be canceled for. I won’t get into details, but it was pretty vulgar and disgusting. I was in a dark place mentally, and the only way I feel like I can move forward is to not use Character AI and other programs that are similar.
3. It also makes it easier for me to focus on creating a portfolio of content creation as a whole. I am planning on starting a Minecraft streaming career (along with Pokemon and whatever games I find.) on my YouTube starting March. My channel (which is the same as my tumblr name) will have gameplay, speedpaints, AU’s, and hopefully my own indie animated series that I am working on that’s based on Purgatory. I am planning on taking classes on animation and making animation memes as well as my own indie animated series. I will be writing my own Gravity Falls fanfiction along with headcanons and fanart of my self insert, as well as AU’s based on the self insert later on this summer. The first two chapters are available to read on my blog, which will be due for rewrites and drafting on my AO3 page as well as Quotev and Wattpad. I used to think of Character AI and other ai chat bots as a tool to write fanfictions. This is no longer the case, and I apologize for doing such for well over a year now.
I used to think that jobs in the arts would never be taken by AI because AI can’t create. Given the events of the past two years, I now know that that couldn’t be further from the truth. I now refuse to support any ai generated art, text, and video.
I may go as far as to call for another strike for writers, content creators, actors, and filmakers to protect the rights of all in the creative arts. However, this isn’t my place to say, and I am leading it up to the people to make their decision. Just know that the arts are at the greatest risk it has ever faced. I can’t bare to see a world where AI takes the one thing that makes us human; the ability to tell stories.
I will discuss this on my TikTok and YouTube channels with videos this weekend.

ok now that I have said everything necessary, I can explain myself a little.
From some time now I have been severely suicidal. I have always been suicidal since I was 9. But this last few months have become really difficult. Talking with my doctor and therapist, we´ve concluded two possibilities.
1. I may have a brain injury or some type of neurological defect that has been making my depression persistent and resistent to medication. I need to have a few tests run to rule out this possibility.
2. The environment I´m at is not letting me progress even if I try.
I don´t wanna talk about my whole family drama and trauma dump you, because even though it is a reason for my depression and suicidal ideation, it´s not the actual problem.
If I want to make art my actual job, I gotta live from it.
I know my portfolio isn´t strong enough to present to any company right now, so I will be taking measures in order to have something of quality.
But in the meanwhile, I want to make a cushion that helps me move out.
I would truly appreciate if you can support me by commissioning me or donating. If you know about any job offers I´m also all ears. I´m not naive enough to think this can be my only source of income. At least not for now. So I am also searching for a day job to create that cushion quicker.
If you´re down here, I thank you for reading and caring.

🌟I'M OPEN FOR COMMISSIONS!🌟 (Rd1: 9-29/11-29)
Greetings to everyone who is and everyone who isn't. As content as I'd be to reblog things forever, I do draw and I do need things… soooo, drawing instead of ebegging because crushing guilt either way and using my one chosen defining skill to feel useful? To be honest and fair, I just need at least $25-30 to get past instafart's bs, but I could also do so much more if my chronically ill butt just… tried? I have self-trust issues, don't @ me… Also, I'm not starving; I need sundries. 🤷🏾
✅ will draw: fanart, ocs, nudity, light gore, suggestive/light n-s-f-w. Furry, animals, therian, toon, and light kink all welcome
⛔ probably won't draw: heavy gore and n-s-f-w, mecha (not because I don't like it, I just doubt my skills in it. Ask at your own risk, I guess…)

🌟PRICES🌟
Tumblr media
🌟NOTES🌟
The color type is the base price, the size adds as advertised
Detailed backgrounds, extra characters, and/or designs will cost extra; about +10-15 each depending on my spoons at the moment.
One-page comics are... doable, but not a thing I plan to do often, at BnW or Full Color price + $40. Comics are hard, even short ones.
One of observant mind will notice that one of the examples is traditional. DO please specify if you'd prefer traditional or digital. If not, I'm gonna randomly do one, the other, or a mixture (It's the same effort for me, either way.)
There will be times where I will NOT be able to sit up and work. I will either edit this message, or make another one with said announcement on it and pin it. An then subsequently edit or make another message again to announce that I'm well again. So goes the conditions of having a corporal body; sometimes you get stuck with a shitty one.
I plan on taking breaks. They will be announced similarly. Because breaks are good for you.
The ability to say 'no' is always at my discretion. I'm willing to try things; I am NOT willing to be uncomfortable.
I have more examples if you're curious, just nothing recent or that I personally feel represents me as an artist at the moment... It's complicated...
Reading is hard, so I made the different bullet points different colors. Um... yw?
🌟CHECKLIST🌟
Email me at angelicdirt0 (at) gmail.com. Say hi, say hey, and include "commission" somewhere in your subject line, please! OR dm me if you need to ask something real quick - but full requests with references, descriptions etc. should be exchanged via email. :v
Please include:
What type of commission you'd like - b&w/color, portrait/half body/full body, how many characters, etc. references of the character(s) - if you don't have an image of them drawn out in their entirety, please provide picture references of all their parts (hair, face, clothes, colors, etc.)... You have a reference sheet? Even better!
What you want to see - what pose do you want your character(s) to be in? what expressions? what is the vibe you want conveyed? is there something you want to focus on in particular (e.g. a character's ring, a scar, a limb, etc.)
Are you okay with your commission being public? - you will get a higher-res, un-watermarked version of your commission and the project files (Krita, FireAlpaca, or GIMP... I tend to jump around). I do intend to put lower-res, watermarked versions of my commissions up on my blog / portfolio, so please let me know if you would like it to be a private commission.
You'll receive a reply within 3-4 days, at which point we can talk a little bit more about your commission if needed!
Full payment will be required upfront through a P@yp@l or c@sh@pp. The invoice will be sent to the email you used unless specified otherwise.
Thank you so much for the look, and hope to talk to you soon! <3

Highlights from The Art of Onward book!
alright so I've decided this week for Onward Fan Art Friday that I'd do something a little different...
tbh I kind of had a hard time deciding on a theme for my 11th edition—or "up to 11" I should say—post, so hopefully that'll be decided by next week (it most probably will)
so what's this week all about you ask?
well believe it or not, I had never owned ✨The Art of Onward book✨ until yesterday! i know...crazy, right? but I found my opportunity to finally get it when i saw that it was 45% off on Amazon. so instead of paying the usual 40 bucks, I only had to pay $21! it was good deal, I'd say. but yeah I had ordered it a couple days ago, it came in the mail yesterday, and as soon as I got my hands on it I read through the whole thing, carefully looked through every page, did some excited squealing every now and again lol...cue my daily I absolutely love this film, its world, and its characters so much speech...
it took me like three hours and all I can say is WHAT A RIDE. this is such an amazing book!!
Now I've seen a good number of the art in this book from previews or elsewhere on the internet, but there are also a ton of really cool pieces in here that I'd never seen at all before that I am just blown away by! it reminded me of the amazing onward fanart I only ever see on Instagram, and in turn—the purpose of my onward fanart sharing series
so whether you own the Art of Onward book or not, tonight I'm going to spotlight pieces from within it that caught my eye, deserve more recognition, and perhaps some analyzation (this is OFFICIAL onward art after all...)
and let me tell ya, picking just 10 pieces for this wasn't easy...everything from everyone in here is SO GOOD!

Artists
just a few quick pre-notes...
I did happen to catch the names of the artists in some of the angles, but others not so much, so I'm gonna credit them all down below like I always do anyway
I won't, however, put in links to instagrams this time around because some members of the fabulous onward crew don't have insta and instead either don't have social media at all or are on lots of other social sites (primarily LinkedIn), and/or have their own portfolio websites—all of which you can easily find by looking up their name in a Google search!
lastly, all the images above are taken from The Art of Onward book, specifically my Art of Onward book, and were captured using my iPhone 13 Pro
Noah Klocek, Production Designer - ahhh I love this! The gang's all here! Ian and all his friends, including Kagar it looks like! I've always wanted to see a character line up of these 6! and a 3D model of Kagar too!
Madeline Sharafian, Head of Story at Pixar - ok this gives off major levels of sassy Ian and I just love it! I wonder what he's being sassy about tho...like, is he telling someone off? is he claiming he can do anything he sets his mind to with his magic? I NEED CONTEXT
Chris Sasaki, Art Director/Character Designer - awwwwww young Barley reading young Ian a storybook! emphasis on AWWWWWWWW!!! this is a very small drawing but it really doesn't matter how big it is...this is absolutely precious!
Maria Yi, Character Designer - I really love all her character drawings of Laurel, but I also really enjoy what she made here! This is something every artist needs a reminder of every once in a while: that all characters are made up of simple shapes and it's a great place to start when going about drawing them!
Kristen Lester, Storyboard Artist - 🎵 wouldn’t you like to quarter own a beautiful vacation home? 🎵 i swear...that song, and these lyrics in particular, from the deleted scene just started playing in my head the moment i laid eyes on this piece! i think cause the sirens themselves are holding contracts lol
Grant Alexander, Character Designer - this drawing seems to imply that Ian and Barley were once going to meet the pixie dusters in an actual swamp instead of the swamp-like aesthetic that ended up in the final film...but I love this idea of them hanging out in a club or bar when they're not riding their motorcycles!
Nat McLaughlin, Art Director/Set Designer - this concept looks very epic but also very dangerous at the same time...while I wouldn't want to risk being in a train accident inside a volcano, the idea of looking out a window and watching lava bubble and boil while riding in a subway sounds like a very fun attraction!
Don Shank, Set Designer, and self-proclaimed to draw and paint - OH MY GOSH KEVIN!!! Kevin from UP is in this drawing!! I love Kevin! if they were thinking of giving her a cameo at the time the phoenix was going to be the final villain that would've been interesting!
Zaruhi Galstyan, Freelance Character Designer - this is a piece from Jenny's set of pages and all I wanna say is I really love this beautiful character design! she looks like an ancient nature spirit! and now I have to ask: do these creatures exist in the onward-verse?
Dan Scanlon, the creator of all that is Onward! - who better to save for the best for last than our man Dan himself? I love all three of these drawings he made! I really enjoy drawings that visually set the scene and point out where everything is going to go, like actually pointing out with arrows who or what goes where

List 5 things that make you happy, then put this in the askbox for the last 10 people who reblogged something from you. Spread the positivity!
(Sorry, it's a bit long.)
Reading fanfics (I read anything in F1 and FE if it's interesting, but my comfort ships are Riccussell, Simi, Dando, Maxiel, Jeandre, Jeantonio(?) and Vandevries.)
Drawing fanarts (drawing my non-binary Seb fanart (which is my profile pic now) was the first thing that made me really happy in that time I started drawing it. I wanna draw more but the final exams are coming and I don't really have time to draw when I don't even have all the pieces done I want to put in my portfolio – sadly I can't put fanarts there, so...)
Finding tumblrs that don't hate on any of the drivers (or at least if they hate some, they don't post anything about them. I don't like seeing hate, even though I know this (or any) fandom is not the best place for searcing for comfort.)
Writing fanfics (and I used to love writing my original story too but that became too much for me so I've been taking a break from it since last year (and with that I stopped writing in Hungarian) and I don't know when I will continue writing it.) And since I'm in the F1 (and FE) fandom(s) I started writing in English, which is a really big thing for me because I wanted to try it for so long but I didn't know which fandom to write for (before F1 became a thing for me). It's still a bit scary and I'm struggling with it sometimes, that's why I'm so fucking slow, but I have a lot of one shot ideas AND a multi-chapter story idea too (which is only a few days old but I already made collages to it and planned a lot of things for it), which I'm in love with, so I hope I will be able to put some nice things together and write a few 'better than my previous ones' stories. I wanna be confident about this but I can't because I know my vocabulary is far from being good enough for the level I would like to reach (they don't really teach creative writing at schools like mine). But I'm working on it, because even though I might not be good at writing in English, I still love doing it because it makes me happy. And that's what matters, my friends. Make yourselves happy and try not to stress much about it.
Making head sculptures (let me elaborate on this a bit because this is my newest happy thing: so as I mentioned a few times I'm planning to go to an art university (to become a graphic designer), and for that I have to do an aptitude test, which varies by universities, but by some of them requires the people who applied to make a head sculpture. And I have never made any in my art high school years, so last week it was time to try and make one, so I started making it and there isn't many thing that makes me as happy as sculpting. I was alone, nobody bothered me, the teacher only came once or twice to see if I need help, and guys, I love portraits, I've been drawing since I can hold pencils, portrait drawings makes me happy, but GUYS feeling the head you're making, feeling the muscles on the neck as you make the shape of the jawline (or the neck itself), seeing how the ball of clay becomes a face, is just incredible. I love feeling all the shapes on the head, the nose, the eyes, the lips, the shape of the face, everything. But for some reason, I don't know why, the jaw and the neck are my favorites. I just fell in love with them. It's a whole new feeling, because when art becomes a job, or a thing you learn in a specialized school, it sometimes feels forced and you feel like you just don't want to do it anymore, because if you have to do it at a predetermined time and not when you feel like, that's not so fun anymore. And I've been there after my first year in art high school and it wasn't good. The thing that brought me out of this is the fact that my art teacher supports the idea of me going to an art university (my father doesn't support it) and since year 11 I've been working on my portfolio and the fact that I have a goal gave my art-related motivation back, which is a really big thing. And this head sculpture-related happiness is just a big, unexpected bonus. So yeah.)

And more!! If your curious just ask!!

With all commissions I hold the right to post it on social media and put it in my portfolio!
