I debated this for a while but here’s an update on that fantasy au drawing I was doing for byler c:!! Tw!! For blood (only a little) and scaring and just general angst!!

Ngl I wasn’t sure if I wanted to show their faces or like the outfits but there’s so much left to do I don’t mind, this version of will (he’s like 11 or 12 here I think) is the only one that’s closest to done. He’s been taken by this point :c. His Mike is also here to match, in this au they don’t know each other well so that’s why he’s so calm?? Worried but not on a breakdown

This is their general look from like ages 13-15, not so much face and hair wise but there’s just a lot of growing pains at this age so I tried to reflect that (more so in Mike than Will. Forced conformity and all that).

Mike is more engrossed in trying to act like the ideal prince or whatever but it’s definitely strained.

Will makes it out of the UD but most people aren’t aware that he’s alive. His family still thinks he’s missing or worse case dead. He’s not, obviously but he’s not really sure who he is besides his name (this is cause of a curse, I’ll explain more probably after these pictures lmbo)

I keep changing their expressions here so it might change again but anyways

The whole party is like 15-16 here. This is when everyone officially meets.

Will is in general nervous, less so because of the people and more so because of their quest that they’re on. It has to do with the UD and while he doesn’t remember much of what happened there he knows that’s where he was found. Not fun.

Mike is curious here, he’s also concerned for the mission but he meets a lot of new people and is starting to feel free and it’s just a good time for him rn, kinda.

I imagine them as maybe like 19-20 here

Everything has gone down and things are finally settling. (Will’s white hair is an awakening thing?? Moon goddess. I- . There’s a lot to explain there, it may be cringe but I am free)

At this point they’re pretty great friends by now and while there’s lots of little moments throughout the story, this is where like the b i g romance starts or whatever. It’s more so like they’re comfortable in their skin so they’re more willing to take chances on their relationship. (Even though the whole town at this point is like “c’mon” )

They’re not dead by the way I just love halo crowns lmbo

Anyways that’s it basically!! I think I’ll reblog this with an actual explanation on the au but I just wanted to update everyone c: I didn’t expect the project to be this big so I hope I finish it!!

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again
