fuck all of you who decide to stay neutral. fuck all of you who decide to stay silent. fuck all of you who are not educating yourself about what is happening right now. fuck every celebrity that posted a notes app screenshot of empty words. fuck bbc and nbc and joe biden and the u.s and britain and nearly every western country and media outlet. fuck israel and zionists and privileged white liberals turning a blind eye. fuck all of you. israel bombed a hospital and hundreds if not thousands are dead and a father had to carry the PIECES of his sons in plastic bags because they were blown to bits. a resting place for journalists has now turned into a morgue. every day people are being killed and it’s being DOCUMENTED and you still wanna be silent and neutral and say this doesn’t involve you. your lack of humanity is vile and horrid and i hope you never know one moment of happiness the rest of your life.

There is, at least in theory, something extremely thematically powerful to the endgame of Creature Commandos being a bunch of hammer-horror monsters who need to kill a conventionally-beautiful-but secretly evil Disney princess in order to save the world. Very much aligned with the show's ideas about playing or failing to play into societal expectations, the disconnect between beauty and goodness, the recurring beat of people projecting and seeing what they want to see in other people instead of what's actually there. Of course to land in full this would have required maybe an episode and a half more of elaboration on what precisely the fuck Ilana's longterm plan was, why Circe specifically took it upon herself to try and stop it, and what the fallout is going to be from a an eastern-European monarch getting whacked by an American blackops team. Alas

AI could have been propelled as a way revolutionize the way we work and spend our time. We could have used it as a tool to make our lives and tasks easier and carve out more time for exploration, creativity, enrichment, social change.

It is NO ACCIDENT that they have, instead, used it to replace the arts. They want to deprive us of innovation and fulfillment.

Innovation challenges their monopolies. If they control the source, they never have to compete with new ideas.

Creation threatens their control. If we can invent or solve problems ourselves - we won't look for a plastic device on 2-day delivery to solve our problem. We can look to each other and to ourselves instead. They HATE that.

Fulfillment and enrichment threatens their financial control. If we have more time with friends and family and build strong communities and resource sharing with each other, we won't be as reliant on the meager paychecks they offer us. We won't have to settle for the hand to mouth lives they give us.

They WANT to take color from us. They WANT to take art from us. THEY want us tired and broken and unable to tell stories or share ideas through art, and music, and books.

We CANT let them.

SUPPORT ALL ARTISTS.

Do you need something designed? Commission an artist! Do you want something for your home? Go to an indie art crawl! Support digitally, support physically, SHARE your favorite artists so other people can see them!

USE LIBRARIES. GO TO YARD SALES. GO TO THRIFT STORES.

Collect physical media where you can. Protect it like it's gold, because it IS. Share it with people near you. Invite friends for a movie night and pop in a DVD. Lend someone a book that makes you think of them. Collect and save educational materials and how-to's.

FIND MUSIC THAT MAKES YOU FEEL SOMETHING.

Share your favorite small band with a friend. Go to a shitty local open mic and find someone new. Go to a concert in the park. Learn a new instrument. Be bad at it. Play it anyways.

READ POETRY.

Listen to the pieces of humanity that people left for us to find. What do they tell you about other people? What do they tell you about yourself?

Write poetry. Write BAD poetry because you're HUMAN and you GET to be bad and being bad means it's FUCKING real. And because nobody else will ever see the world exactly like you.

WATCH ANIMATION

Realize that EVERY pixel and EVERY cell was created by someone who wanted to share a piece of their soul with you. THE CURTAINS ARENT JUST BLUE IF A HUMAN CHOSE THE COLOR BLUE.

But see… I really do think that hunters recognizing the signs of psychological “overkilling” is important!

In this genre, it serves as shorthand for instability in the field. Mary recognizing this in Jack… indicated he was psychologically unfit to fight.

Overkilling shows up in various characters.

Cas mentions this when assessing Lucifer’s kills in season 12:

Sam and Castiel are in the library at the bunker. Castiel is looking at pictures of the carnage at the archbishop’s house on a cell phone, zooming in and out)

CASTIEL: Ugh. These pictures...The level of violence, it's completely unnecessary.

SAM: Lucifer doesn't like to get messed with.

And of course, his own hypocrisy aside, Sam is hypervigilant for assessing this in MOC!Dean. (And all things considered, Sam and Cas aren’t exactly incorrect in their assessment. The issues became more about Dean’s blackouts and lack of control, rather than the immorality of his targets.)

Killing is killing, but in this genre, the signature yields vital information.

Jack’s signature was unstable, and Mary correctly recognized this.

I can think of good examples for Dean and Cas too, becoming disorganized psychologically, particularly towards the terminal ends of the Mark and Godstiel arcs.

But even soulless, Sam tends towards frighteningly cold and efficient.

Sam with Jake Talley, maybe?

There’s also Dean with the Adam and Kate wraiths. That sticks out in my head.

It comes in lighter flavors, too, like when Claire was not being able to stop kicking her assailant. The fear took over.

Something I want to pay more attention to… just thinking aloud.

EDIT: I think blood-addicted Sam was the closest to disorganized and overkill on the regular, like… as he became ruled by the blood addiction, season 15 shows us a Sam terminating with a demon-Dean-style of arc, a demon Sam with black eyes who kills Jody and Bobby.

SAM: You know, I knew you’d come looking for me. After Sioux Falls… I suppose you had to.

DEAN: What you did to them… what you did to Bobby… to Jody…

SAM: They tried to stop me. But I will not be stopped.

DEAN: Sammy, listen to me. This is the demon blood. You have to fight it!

SAM: Why would I do that?

[The bald man from earlier approaches behind SAM. SAM turns his head slightly and the man’s neck snaps as he falls to the ground. SAM looks back at DEAN with an evil smile.]

DEAN: Sammy, please. Please.

[SAM smirks. His eyes flash to black. He cocks his head to the side. Dean’s neck snaps as he falls to the ground. He’s dead.]

Ya ever think about how when you dont receive medical treatment for something you have to sign an “against medical advice” form saying that you understand if you dont follow medical advice you could experience increased and unforeseen problems including death, but if you do receive medical treatment for anything you also have to sign an informed consent form saying that you understand if you do follow medical advice you could experience increased and unforeseen problems including death

There’s a particular kind of tired when I’m completely tapped out emotionally.

It happened after my mom died. After the hospital and the funeral. When everything was quiet and still.

I’m feeling that now. And it is TEMPORARY.

Make the effort to say "nonspeaking" instead of "nonverbal." It's not nitpicking or semantics or a tiny difference. Nonspeaking autistics have words and use them, just not with their mouths. Everyone uses nonverbal speech, not everyone uses their mouths.

EDIT: Absolutely of course defer to how the person you're speaking to prefers to be described.
