What Is Individual Support Functional Information?
Individual support is a person-centered process that focuses on what matters most to the individual and how their goals can be achieved. This includes a variety of services and supports.
Often, disabled and elderly people are dependent on other people for personal assistance. Unfortunately, many of these solutions have hierarchical structures which limit freedom of movement and choice.
Personal Profile
The personal profile is a short section at the beginning of a CV that sums up the person’s key skills, work history and professional goals. It is a chance to give a unique and well-considered overview of the individual support applying for a role. It is important that the personal profile provides a summary of key areas that will be relevant to the job description and not just the obvious requirements.
It is a good idea to write the personal statement in first person (using ‘I’ or ‘me’) or third person (using ‘he/she/it’). It can be tempting to use lots of keywords or waffle but it is important to ensure that the information conveyed in the personal statement is genuine and meaningful. Remember that trained UBC readers will be reading thousands of personal profiles so it is important to avoid being superficial or cliched. If necessary, seek out the advice of a friend or colleague to help you with this task.
Functional Information
The information needed to perform a function, such as the knowledge a person needs to think or learn. The term also refers to the measurable aspects of a system that support its function, such as a company’s management information systems that track financial and operational data.
In the case of systems with many interacting agents, functional information can be measured by quantifying the fraction of all possible configurations that achieve a given degree of functionality. Sequences of letters provide a conceptually familiar example: the functional information of a sequence increases as the number of consecutive 1s in the sequence grows.
KDC’s Individual Support Services (ISS) are in-home assistance for adults with developmental disabilities. The ISS program provides clients with individualized care to help them stay connected with their communities. Services are tailored to the client’s unique needs, and the program supports self-sufficiency and growth through skill-building. For more information, contact the ISS Coordinator.
Individual Support Plan (ISP)
A plan that identifies the services, supports and activities required to meet an individual’s assessed needs. The ISP is typically developed and executed by an interdisciplinary team that may include the person with intellectual disability (ID, formerly mental retardation), his/her LAR and/or family members. The team is often comprised of psychologists, social workers, nurses, doctors, speech and occupational therapists, teachers and service coordinators.
The ISP should identify all health issues, risks and support needs. It should also identify all health related goals, outcomes and activities.
To help your client set achievable goals, try using the 5 Whys framework to dive deep into their desires. This will help them identify the reasons individual support worker their goals and keep them anchored to those values.
The ISP must be based on assessed need and reflect both paid and unpaid, natural and community based supports. The ISP should offer choices to the person regarding how their services and supports will be provided, who provides them and whether they are self directed. The ISP must be reviewed annually, but can be changed at any time throughout the year. It must be standardized and entered into the State Home and Community Database.
Goal Setting
Many clients struggle with identifying and prioritizing the changes they want to make in their lives. A goal setting process is an excellent tool to help clients prioritize these goals. This also helps them feel more motivated because they have a clear sense of direction.
It’s important that clients track their progress toward reaching their goals daily. This can be done through client messaging, food, lifestyle, or activity journaling. Healthie’s HIPAA-compliant telehealth software makes this easy for you and your client by providing convenient client goal tracking through their secure Healthie client portal. Ghouls night out

#poorly drawn mdzs#mdzs#wei wuxian#lan wangji#Scopophobia#Don't be mean Lan Wangji - the dead girl aesthetic is a curated one. Support women's rights to look dead!#I have been waiting for this scene for ages...the ghost girl entourage is such a good look for WWX.#And by gods does the audio drama actually do something interesting with one of them.#Namely that we actually get to see WWX talk with them and learn about who they were and what they left behind.#I love necromancer characters but it's way too common for them to be like “Go! Ghost no.145!” like they're a pokemon#and not...you know...someone who had a whole life that they left behind.#I love me a necromancer who has an awareness to whose soul/body they are using. It adds a lot of flavour!#MDZS is a little hit or miss with this. I think the fans do a lot of the work with making Mo Xuanyu a bigger character.#Yi City has this in spades. Even though we don't individually get character backstories#We get many painful reminders about how these 'corpses' were people.#We also get a few lines about how WWX used whatever corpses he could get his hands on (including grandparents - Woof!)#MDZS often (but not always) likes to remind us that every sacrifice and every ghost was a person.#It is so close to nailing the landing regarding the deconstruction of the necromancer character.#Anyhow. You may have noticed the uptick in quality in the last two comics. Rule of three means next one is going to be a treat B*)#See you all very soon!

you were raised in comparison.
it wasn't always obvious (well. except for the times that it was), but you internalized it young. you had to eat what you didn't like, other people are going hungry, and you should be grateful. you had to suck it up and walk on the twisted ankle, it wasn't broken, you were just being a baby. you were never actually suffering, people obviously had it worse than you did.
you had a roof over your head - imagine! with the way you behaved, with how you talked back to your parents? you're lucky they didn't kick you out on your ass. they had friends who had to deal with that. hell, you have friends who had to deal with that. and how dare you imply your father isn't there for you - just because he doesn't ever actually talk to you and just because he's completely emotionally checked out of your life doesn't mean you're not fucking lucky. think about your cousins, who don't even get to speak to their dad. so what if yours has a mean streak; is aggressive and rude. at least you have a father to be rude to you.
you really think you're hurting? you were raised in a home! you had access to clean water! you never so much as came close to experiencing a real problem. sure, okay. you have this "mental illness" thing, but teenagers are always depressed, right. it's a phase, you'll move on with your life.
what do you mean you feel burnt out at work. what do you mean you mean you never "formed healthy coping mechanisms?" we raised you better than that. you were supposed to just shoulder through things. to hold yourself to high expectations. "burning out" is for people with real jobs and real stress. burnout is for people who have sick kids and people who have high-paying jobs and people who are actually experiencing something difficult. recently you almost cried because you couldn't find your fucking car keys. you just have lost your sense of gratitude, and honestly, we're kind of hurt. we tell you we love you, isn't that enough? if you want us to stick around, you need to be better about proving it. you need to shut up about how your mental health is ruined.
it could be worse! what if you were actually experiencing executive dysfunction. if you were really actually sick, would you even be able to look at things on the internet about it? you just spend too much time on webMD. you just like to freak yourself out and feel like you belong to something. you just like playing the victim. this is always how you have been - you've always been so fucking dramatic. you have no idea how good you have it - you're too fucking sensitive.
you were like, maybe too good of a kid. unwilling to make a real fuss. and the whole time - the little points, the little validations - they went unnoticed. it isn't that you were looking for love, specifically - more like you'd just wanted any one person to actually listen. that was all you'd really need. you just needed to be witnessed. it wasn't that you couldn't withstand the burden, but you did want to know that anyone was watching. these days, you are so accustomed to the idea of comparison - you don't even think you belong in your own communities. someone always fits better than you do. you're always the outlier. they made these places safe, and then you go in, and you are just not... quite the same way that would actually-fit.
you watch the little white ocean of your numbness lap at your ankles. the tide has been coming in for a while, you need to do something about it. what you want to do is take a nap. what you want to do is develop some kind of time machine - it's not like you want your life to stop, not completely, but it would really nice if you could just get everything to freeze, just for a little while, just until you're finished resting. but at least you're not the worst you've been. at least you have anything. you're so fucking lucky. do you have any concept of the amount of global suffering?
a little ant dies at the side of your kitchen sink. you look at its strange chitinous body and think - if you could just somehow convince yourself it is enough, it will finally be enough and you can be happy. no changes will have to be made. you just need to remember what you could lose. what is still precious to you.
you can't stop staring at the ant. you could be an ant instead of a person, that is how lucky you are. it's just - you didn't know the name of the ant, did you. it's just - ants spend their whole life working, and never complain. never pull the car over to weep.
it's just - when it died, it curled up into a tight little ball.
something kind of uncomfortable: you do that when you sleep.
#writeblr#warm up#my dad was actively doing bad shit to us and we STILL were told we were lucky . and to a point i do think im lucky#i just think also there's somethin to be said about like. how about we stop using comparison to dismiss ppls individual struggles#yes there are people who have no perspective. for the reference tho having perspective actually made me really unwilling to get help#for what was a serious and debilitating mental health issue. bc i thought i didnt DESERVE IT#and i would rather have 600 ppl who aren't THAT bad get help and get heard and get seen#than make any 1 kid. do the math that i did: look at the world that is dying and the people who are hurting and say#''oh. okay. others have it worse. they are probably better people than i am. i am being unreasonable. i cannot ask for help#i am not good. i am taking too much space. i am not worth saving.''#bc our WHOLE lives we are taught a scarcity mindset - that you can 'steal' from someone. so that instead of changing a system that doesn't#actually offer fair support to everyone#we put the impetus on the individual to just... demand less.#and here's something - there are probably ppl who think i DIDNT deserve to get help#bc i DID have it better than other people#and something about that is ... so sickening. bc i think all of us in some way at some point WILL need help.#we were supposed to make communities. we were supposed to offer our hands. we were supposed to raise the barn#instead we said: it could be worse. now handle it yourself

The fact that you depict characters as both aroace and in relationships makes me actually so happy because everyone always thinks that shipping is off the table for those characters and forgets sex/romance stances exist, you filled me with so much joy ;w;
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s a weird stereotype indeed smhh (harmful even) making it sound like individuals who are aro/ace are incapable of being/falling in love- or just being able to feel love in general

We need to remember that Shubble stated that Wilbur would manipulate and gaslight friends and family. With this, we must be patient with streamers that were close to Wilbur. This was likely surprising and shocking for them. They may need time to come to terms with what has happened.
I have been vocal about how important it is for men to be critical about abusive behaviors. However, Wilbur had many close friends—some would even consider him family—and now they may feel they hardly knew him at all.
There is a deep stress felt by viewers. It is difficult to think we have given any amount of time or money to an abuser. Could you imagine a close friend right now? The pain and betrayal must sear. They need time to understand what has happened and come to terms with it. Many of them may not be live in the coming days (weeks even).
That being said, as time passes, criticism may be necessary. Complacency is not an option. Men that are willing to ignore abuse to protect an abuser are just as pathetic as the abusers themselves.
Let's give this situation time to breathe. I ask that we give patience and courtesy to those close to Wilbur at this time. But please do not forget that this happened. There may be a few streamers hoping to lay low and then drop a collab in a few months. Do not let them. This is too important.

Please stop taking away the clones’ agency.
They are HUMANS.
They fuck up.
They make mistakes.
They make bad decisions and choices.
Because they are HUMAN.
One of the best parts of TBB is that we get to follow different perspectives of the clones: those who want to fight the Empire (Rex and his rebels), those who want to settle down (CF99), and those who WILLINGLY serve the Empire (formerly Crosshair, formerly Cody, currently Wolffe).
What makes these characters interesting—and HUMAN—is that they fuck up. They are not perfect. And they make decisions we do not agree with. Because they are HUMAN.
Crosshair served the Empire willingly.
Wolffe is serving the Empire willingly.
They are both complex characters who chose/choose to serve the Empire based on their own decision-making.
Stop taking away their humanity just because you don’t agree with their decisions.

Taigen x Mizu mentioned in the The Making of Netflix’s “Blue Eye Samurai”
Taken from the livestream organised by Gnomon
Jane Wu:
Next slide, Taigen...
Brian Kesinger:
Everyone's favourite samurai, uh, Taigen. Uh, so, he was designed a bit over the top. The, the, peak of male samurai, even down to the quite prodigious hair bun, which he doesn't have on screen for much. Uh, but, um, he is the visual opposite of Mizu, right, so it was fun to kinda let her design dictate what his design should be, and, you know, I think that, you know, especially for all you Taigen x Mizu fans out there, I think that might be one of the reasons why he's attracted to her. Um, or in my brain, he's attracted to her, uh, is because she is who she wants to be, and doesn't have to put on airs. Uh, and that's a lesson that he has to learn and he literally, I mean, it's on the nose but, he lets his hair down. And that's the start of his journey of discovery, um, which he needs to go. He's, he's got a lot of growing still left to do. Um—
Jane Wu:
I also think he has a, has a talent—he has like a... sword crush on her right, he has like a martial arts crush on her, yeah. Talent crush, yeah.
Brian Kesinger:
Right, yeah. Talent crush. Yes. Yes, for sure.
---
For context, Jane Wu is Blue Eye Samurai's supervising director and Producer, while Brian Kesinger is the lead character designer. Others presenting for this livestream were production designer Toby Wilson and art director Emil Mitev.
