My main dislike of feral shippers is how intimacy is apparently something ONLY romantic partners can partake in lol. Oh wow, it's a male character and a female character that has a friendly relationship and occasionally they open up to each other about their troubles. Clearly they're a couple, haven't you seen When Harry Met Sally? Men and women can't be just friends :)

Or two men doing the same thing. Male intimacy can only be a thing between lovers, not friends. Clearly these two male characters who joke around and open up to each other can't just be close friends. It has to be romantic.

Or my least favorite trope which is huge amongst shippers and fujos specifically, "these two characters hate each other for complex reasons so clearly they want to fuck." It's why I specifically avoid Sh/zaya like the plague, it just annoys the shit out of me.

Joking aside, how does Bella come off towards the audience? Is she well liked? It's an old show after all, I wouldn't be surprised if her being trans wasn't known until much later

i'd like to think that when uncovering the old scripts of Bella's first appearance of the show, she was supposed to come off as someone very relaxed. i do like to draw Bella and her hair with different emotions, but i hardly imagine her actually being much mad or the such.

in fact, i like her attitude to really reflect what she is- a cloud! i, myself, find clouds very relaxing to look at and i think to myself 'if a cloud were a person, i'm sure they'd be super laidback.'

i think her first appearance would have the episode start off with Frank observing butterflies, only to follow them leading up to Bella's flower store/house (i guess you could say it's both her house and business, much like Howdy and Eddie? honestly, i can't lay it down yet).

i believe that due to her character being a sort of environmental educator to not just her neighbours, but to the audience, she's very well liked! her funny moments shine whenever neighbours asks Bella to repeat what she said, because they have definitely asked more than once! try as hard as she can, but her voice can only get so loud lol

as for her being trans, i'd like to think that for now- that fact is only found through old illustrstions, illustrations not released to the public while the show was still ongoing. however, i guess now the audience knows with the restoration project of the show!
