watching the entirety of jrwi: riptide again. here's some important things from the first few episodes that I feel we forgot (<110 mentions too though)

Jay

Had night terrors similar to those of Kubakinta's curse in episode 5, and they eventually start returning even after Loffinlot's curse is lifted ○ All of them were about her family and/or the navy ○ I simply think people leave her out of the nightmare stuff and she deserves it. Hurt her more, please (he said, lovingly)

was actually very upset at having to use her medal to get a Loffinlot rebellion to shut up ○ This could be because she didn't want them to guess she was a spy, but I choose to believe it's because she felt guilty

"If you're gonna be sailing with someone, you should have a good relationship with them. [nervous chuckle]." She says, while asking him for information about the Black Rose Pirates (ep. 10)

Said "thank god they didn't find me" after a nightmare about the navy attacking. Even when she was supposedly a spy, who one day would have to return to the navy ○ Very unclear if she was scared of her dad, or if it's because she was a secret spy so the navy would've just killed her

Rewatching, she was suspiciously into the plundering and gold and stuff. Like that was real sus. It doesn't fit her current character much

The only one among them who's gambled before

Chip

The entire thing literally starts off with Bizly holding a lit match

Called Gillion "Gill" and Jay "Sureshot" from an early stage

Was SO much more of a bastard. Lied to Gill constantly, didn't care about anything but the money, etc.

Had aggressive hand tremors alongside Jay's night terrors ○ Gill cures it with lay on hands

When he gets drunk married, they talk extensively about how he'd be released when he's dead. Welp.

They did actually break up and it was fine and they were still friends. They parted on good terms

Is really fucking good at chess ○ Beat Earl twice and Jay once. Jay had a point of exhaustion after a nightmare but Earl had no excuse ○ Lost to Gillion though, but only cause of prophetic screwup ○ This kid is smarter than he lets on, y'all

Was the first one to have a backstory dump while Jay is asking him about the Black Rose Pirates, yet still we know jack shit about his life before them other than "orphan"

Gill

Charlie has referred to Gillion with 'they' many times. I can pull receipts.

When describing Gill, Charlie said: "He's more.. elven, if you had to make a comparison. 'Cause I don't wanna be a fish guy". Oh, honey.

Smote a bald person by using his hair as a whip (ep. 4)

Was given anxiety and self-doubt alongside jay's night terrors and chip's tremors ○ "What do you want?" "I want the feeling of satisfaction I've been chasing my whole life." ○ This was episode FIVE.

First mention of the prophecy and how Gillion wasn't their ideal student is ep. 7, after he divine smites + prophetic screwups and deals like 60 damage to some beetles ○ Chip spends the next 30 seconds in gay awe

He refers to the crescent moon Niklaus tattoo as "my zodiac" (probably a bit) ○ It's not a lil basic white girl moon this thing is the entire size of his forearm

Gill had never heard about the Black Sea - it's unclear if the Undersea just don't know, or if that's just how sheltered he was (ep. 10)

Biz: "What would Gillion do. If he just had no goal - was just sitting there." "Gillion always has a goal." "Would his goal ever be to just.. Sit there?" "Absolutely not." ○ Later, Chip expresses that he doesn't know what Gillion likes. What he would want out of winning a bet. Gillion doesn't have an answer

Other

Apple, in a couple of early battles, acted like Gill's familiar (see: ep. 7)

They also pecked at his Niklaus tramp stamp and looked all confused at the idea of eating seeds

The specific crescent of the moon in the Niklaus tattoo is known as a symbol of "corruption" (ep. 9) and its antonym is the sun, for "life", similar to the yin and yang ○ Interesting to consider after what the tree said in 110 <_<

Pretzel has a masters degree in couple's therapy (ep. 10)

The Albatross/Millennium Chipper was described as the colour of rosewood or mahogany

Captain Lizzie's first introduction was a wanted poster, and Chip wanted to turn her in for the prize, then decided to try learn from her instead

Chip/Bizly called Old Man Earl "Erol" for a loooong time ○ Maybe it's an accent thing but I have an uncle called Erol and so this stands out to me

Five Hundred Follower Celebration!

Alright, so I have no bloody clue how this happened but by some twist of fate, here we are! It's crazy, but I am super excited about it and I just wanted to thank everyone who's cared enough about my fics and/or art to click that follow button!

As some of you may know (because I've been whining about it) I had the misfortune of breaking my elbow a few weeks ago and was thus unable to write. But I am now past that stage of the healing process and I can finally get back to what I love!

First, I want to make it clear that I'm still taking requests, but seeing as I've been out of commission for a while, I have quite a few fics already waiting. (Seriously, there are so many sequels that I just haven't gotten around to.) So, in celebration of five hundred followers, I thought it might be fun for you guys to choose what comes out first!

(If you're not familiar with my work, feel free to check out my Masterlist. I will write for Finn, Elijah, Niklaus, and Kol Mikaelson along with Stefan Salvatore and Jack Kline. I will not write smut but anything else is free game. I hope you enjoy!)

I already have one fic that's nearly finished, so that will come out first, but from there I will be abiding by the results of this poll. I'm so excited to see what you guys are excited for and my gratitude for each of you is beyond words. I swear it feels like I just barely reached one hundred followers like a month ago. But lo and behold, I look at my profile one day only to get smacked in the face by the big FIVE-ZERO-ZERO! Thank you all so, so, so much.

Elijah’s mouth opens on instinct. As he leans in to close the space between them, Niklaus takes a step back.

Elijah feels his lips twist in anguish. He takes a step forward, following his brother with desperation in his mouth.

Right where Niklaus wants him.

3. How to Steal a Heart of Iron

Ed dropped his own gaze, unable to meet Al’s eyes any longer. He would accept responsibility, but he wasn’t sure he could look the kid in the eyes as they died.

A light touch on his face startled him. Al brushed a hand, feather-light, against his cheek. “Don’t blame yourself. Please.”

4. Here, beneath my lungs, I feel your thumbs press into my skin again

Ed smells his brother before he can see him. Red overlays his vision, and a growl bursts from his teeth before he can stop it. Winry’s almost done with his automail, and it’s all he can do not to scramble to his half-assembled foot.

He needs his brother. His Al.

5. Like I’ve never seen the sky before

Al’s hands go to his face, to brush away the incriminating moisture, but it’s too late. Tears run in a steady stream down his cheeks, choking him and hitching his breath into stutters.

6. A Rush of Blood to the Head

“C’mon. After all, blood is one of the greatest fashion statements.”

“For you, maybe,” Al muttered. “For me, it just means I’m a messy eater.”

Ed was seized with the desire to lean across the table and kiss his brother’s warm, blushing cheek.

7. Liebes Tagebuch

Ed’s face was flushed, his lips moist and bright pink. He looked nearly the same as when he’d gone to the tavern and had too much to drink.

He wasn’t drunk now—his legs were steady as he carried Al into their shared bedroom. Ed laid Al gently on his bed—Al registered dimly that his things were strewn about on his bed, certainly not how he’d left them.

He’d have to have a talk with Ed later about poking through his private things. Later. Someday.

8. Dream a Little Dream of Me

“You are…so beautiful.”

Al’s cheeks flush delicately with a color Ed desperately wants to taste. “You’re just saying that because we’re here. Because I’m not real.”

9. Hawk Vision

Ed has never seen Hawkeye speechless before.

Finally she manages to spit out a strangled question. “What is—what’s wrong with him?”

Hurt spills over Al’s face. His lower lip trembles.

Ed grips his brother’s hand as tightly as his quivering muscles will allow. “It’s a long story. Put away your gun and we’ll tell you.”

Sam turned his body around fully, leaning toward the cage now. “Hi,” he breathed, unable to hide his pleased smile. “It’s nice to meet you, Jack.” He raised his hand in a half-wave.

You know what’s kind of funny in a messed up way? In the season 4 finale, Kol was acting like Elena just up and murdered him just because she wanted to kill someone that night, but he had compelled Damon to kill her brother and also tried to literally kill Bonnie the very episode Elena helped kill Kol. Elena has proven time and time again that she is 100% down for murder when it comes to keeping a loved one safe and Kol was an active threat to at least 2 of her loved ones. Obviously she was going to kill him, so like, why was he so surprised that she went through with the killing. Kol conveniently ignores that he had just tried to kill one of her best friends and had compelled Damon to kill Jeremy, her baby brother that she loves more than anyone else. Literally every other Original could’ve informed Kol that Elena takes no prisoners when it comes to her family, as she went along with Esther’s plan to kill all of them simply to remove Klaus from the playing field and ensure Klaus wouldn’t be a threat to her family anymore, Rebekah got quite literally stabbed in the back so she wouldn’t jeopardize one of the first kill-Klaus plans, and Elijah ended up with a dagger in him in season 2. Did none of Kol’s siblings tell him jack about their current adversaries/sort of allies or something?

This is one of the most confusing things on the show. TO characters haven't had any proper planning with the exception of Klaus and Elijah. Mostly Klaus, because Klaus always looks at the long term. He always wants to think about the big picture. A legacy and success that lasts for centuries until some other adversary crawls out from the shadows to try and thwart him again. Elijah, on the other hand, mostly plans to solve the present situation.

Rebekah always improvises (TVD S4 finale, saved Matt from Alexander the Hunter by taking Matt's place near the trigger) and so does Kol. Freya plans heavily, she doesn't improvise until she's got nothing. Finn remains neutered and yet, he intricately plans the downfall of his siblings (TO S2 Live and Let Die, Finn captured Oliver and Elijah). The only time the Mikaelson siblings are well-planned is when they are all together (TO S4, Operation Rescue Klaus/Nik/Niklaus).

This is what we want to see in more of the Mikaelson siblings — planning, talking about allies and adversaries, who's dangerous enough and who's impulsive, what are their weaknesses and best threatening one-liners.

It's quite funny how they underestimated Elena, considering that almost every sibling has faced Elena in some way or the other. She's more dangerous as the Salvatores, even Katherine herself, given the opportunity and the resources to function.

Stefan is more level-headed than Damon, but Damon is willing to shed blood while Stefan isn't. Caroline's a sidekick, she can't plan war stuff on her own, she needs some backup. Bonnie is powerful, being a witch, and can take on stuff on her (TVD S3-S4, planned with Klaus and put his spirit in Tyler).

Elena, on the other hand, plans. She's unhinged but in a stable way. Her words and her blood are her strengths. She can emotionally manipulate her adversary to cause an unnecessary reaction, giving her an opportunity to establish her cadence and change the key of the fight's rhythm. Her Petrova blood, I'm not going to go into that, you already know. Seeing this, I can conclude that Elena's a complex protagonist with high potential to become both a villain or a hero, provided the writers were smart enough to write her character like that, sadly, they were stupid to let Elena's story depend on two toxic men only, so I'm not going to go there.

Coming back to the point, the Mikaelson siblings should have warned Kol. Klaus could've gathered them all in a room and told them all about the MF Gang. Rebekah could've been perfect for informing Kol about Elena, and then Elijah would've jumped in saying 'Don't underestimate her, brother' with a knowing smile playing on his lips *hehehe*

He took another drink, as he watched her sip slowly from her glass, her fingers curled elegantly around the stem. Upon the shocking revelation of him tagging along on their little Spanish Excursion, he was sure the magic would have ended, that this...…. experience so delicately crafted, this place where anything could happen, would shatter, the blood red sky falling all around them, finished. But not only was this sin forgiven, it was his pain that she had felt, his agony that she had sought to soothe instead of her own wounded pride. My GOD, what WAS in this French Princess' blood?

She took another sip, and swirled the blood red elixir around in the crystal glass, as she leaned back on her elbow, tossing back her hair, looking over at Klaus, seeming to wonder the same thing.

"You know, there's something I've always admired about you, Klaus, and no, it's not your sparkling conversation."

Klaus smirked, looking devilishly chuffed, with a knowing nod of his head towards her. "I know...… apparently, I'm beautiful, and quite sexy, which I did not know until this eve."

"Shut up, yes, you did."

Klaus chuckled, finishing off his glass, dabbing at the corner of his lip with his thumb. "Alright, yes, but I had no idea I held such beauty in your eyes."

"C'mon, don't make me mad, you had to know...… It was always there, even when I wanted to burn you alive...…"

Her laughing voice ended with a twinge of the escaped truth, sending chills through his whole body, and he slowly took her glass, setting it next to his empty one.

"Hey, I wasn't done-"

"You'll get it back," He chortled softly, moving closer. "That is, if you behave." He arched one of his red blonde brows, slowly brushing one, especially tantalizing raven curl, hanging in her defiant eyes, and he felt beckoned by their stoked fire.

She moved closer too, delicately fingering his silk tie, untucking it from his waistcoat, running her fingers all the way up the length of it, to his neck, his breath getting heavier and more pleasurable the higher her fingers climbed.

"Are you sure you want me to behave?" She whispered dangerously, the sparks flying and dancing in a flickering sway in her eyes, and he closed his own in defeat, his mouth falling slightly open, with the intensity of her affect, that unvanquished heat, setting fire to the night, defying the dark in dizzying trails. Admit it, Talia. You always want to burn me alive.

She toyed with his tie, loosening the knot, and then caressed her way up his scruffy neck, running her nails teasingly across his skin, watching his eyes open, the blue dawning like a gentle sky, no cloud of conflict in sight. His fingers tingled as they reached for hers, not forceful, or demanding, they were hopeful, and full of ache, caressing the back of them, as they came to a rest, still touching his neck.

"Tell me...… What could you possibly admire in the faulted crooks and chasms of so flawed a character as mine? What admiration of this faded and cracked visage, painted a thousand years hence, and left war beaten, deceptively unchanged, could flower in the fiery heart, I broke with such unyielding fervor...…. Tell me."

Natalia looked at him with a sad, little half smile, and he trembled as she touched his lip, running her finger along the perfectly, sculpted edge. "Niklaus...… How can you be so arrogant and yet regard so mean your own immortal beauty? This face...…. It's my every frustration, my every spoken curse and temptation, my every fought feeling. I HATED you for being so beautiful, this face...…. it's torture, because it's all I see, okay? Past, present, future, there is one fixed point, and my GOD, sometimes I wish it wasn't, but it is YOU. It's always been...…. I don't see the cracks in the paint, the aged lines, the way you do...…. Think about every masterpiece you've ever seen, and you just try to tell me, they're not more transfixing for it...… If given the choice between an ORIGINAL Degas, see what I did there, and a freshly painted canvas by some nobody, you know what I'd choose...…."

Klaus smiled fondly, his surfacing affection bleeding through his imposing features like water colours on parchment paper. "You always had the most unfettered love for Degas, didn't you?" He said softly, breathing her in, as her fingers curled around the curve of his face, her thumb rubbing soft against his cheek. The Muse admiring her Painter. "You could have been a dancer, Tal, the way you move, the lines you create with your body, painted by Degas himself, the crown jewel of his masterful works...…"

"I'd rather be your masterpiece," She whispered intimately, kissing the side of his face, circling her thumb over his cheekbone. How many times had he called her that, crowed to Elijah, shut that degenerate Damon up with it, used those exact words to threaten his enemies, and targets, showing her off shamelessly, but never...…. not once, had she called herself as such. His masterpiece. His triumph. He shuddered against her lips, with the full effect of her voice cloaked silkily over those words, admitting it, not just to him, but to herself, and he replayed it again and again in the wildfire haze of his mind, the painting he'd done of her, rivaling Degas himself, flashing in a red, ravishing, reverie. You are my masterpiece, Natalia, not just in function, but in form...…..

"Now, STOP interrupting me...…" She giggled, and the colour rose in his own cheek, as she batted his face playfully to the side.

"What I admire about you, Klaus Mikaelson, believe it or not, has nothing to do with your roguish good looks, or those damn sexy blue eyes."

"Please, do go on," He teased deliciously, making his sapphire eyes bigger, his lip curling up into a sneaky smirk, and she laughed, her own eyes luminous. "Shut up! I will hit you again!"

"I'm sorry, can you just say, "damn sexy blue eyes," again? I think I hallucinated it." Klaus' smirk broke into a laughing grin, the spell of the Blood Moon unbroken, caught up in her wonder, her willingness to let the fire fall, to laugh and jibe, and let him come closer.

Natalia scoffed in mock indignation. "Ughhhh!!! I take it back. More like DAMN irritating!!!"

"Tell me!!!" Klaus' boyish laugh betrayed his commanding guise, his attempted stern brow perfectly wrecked.

"Alright, alright, GOD, two hundred freaking years, and nothing has changed, you're still just as impatient!!!" Tal tried to look angry, but she broke into a laugh too, gently resting her head on his shoulder, and he instantly pulled her closer, wrapping his arm around her as tight as he could, scrunching his eyes closed as he kissed the top of her curly head.

"Stop stalling."

"Okay, fine...… It's Katherine."

"Katarina?" The name stung on his recoiled tongue, tasting the poison, the rancor of that willful, wanton of a woman's name, choking on it, spitting it from his mouth, his hatred seething from his flared nostrils. "Ahh yes, and you were worried about me killing the mood, were you? I am disturbed in this curiosity but WHAT about my vendetta against the Petrova Whore could possibly be amorous in your eyes, My Love? For five hundred years, I have failed to capture her, failed to kill her, even though I fall asleep with dancing visions of her demise, raking my relishing claws against her spindly neck, gutting her prostitute body as such even Jack the famed ripper would envy...….. I admired him so much, before I surmised he was Stefan. Such a pity.

Natalya looked up at him, smiling, amused, but it was faint, the sadness, the frailty, overwhelming her expression, so much so, that she looked...…. impossibly human. Breakable. He loved it, and he hated it.

"You...… You were the only one, Klaus, the only one...…. who didn't fall for her transparent tricks, her playgirl ploy, the only man ever, in five hundred years, she couldn't seduce, couldn't steal with flirty eyes, and revealed skin..... You should have seen him back then...… Damon, yes, the guy you're so worried I want more than you, the guy you won't admit that you're threatened by...…." Natalia choked on her sob, half angry, half hurt, and Klaus looked back, the guilt glimmering in his eyes.

"You weren't there, you didn't see it...…. The way he paraded her around..... the way she had him wrapped around her little finger, sneaking into his bed, moments after he had bid me goodnight with a kiss on my cheek...… Pledging forever to me, but planning it secretly with her, finding their forbidden pleasures, even after she had just finished defiling his brother. I could feel it between them, the second I met her, and he didn't even try to hide it..... That stupid grin on his stupid face, rushing to help her into a carriage, touching the small of her back, gripping her hand, like he'd never let her go...…"

"Talia……" Klaus whispered, the pain constricting his chest. He'd never once thought about it, what it must have been like for his Spanish Rose, to be betrothed and in love with a man that was not so secretly disgracing her honour.

"You. You never fell for her. What IS it about that spoiled, bitchy, caked on face!? Even Stalwart Elijah, with his donned morals, and starched ethics, he was powerless against her promiscuous charm, or maybe he just couldn't resist turning a bad girl good...… He was always a sucker for a good redemption story." Natalia scoffed, and then her eyes gentled, cradling the back of his handsome, kingly curls, stroking them, as he stared lovingly down at her, his eyes soft, steady, calm. "But not you. You were better than that. The discerning artist."

"Let me tell you a story about the runaway whore, formerly known as Petrova," He whispered deliciously, his blue eyes agleam with mischief.

"Please," She groaned, laying her head further back, exasperated. "Tell me it ends unhappily ever after?"

Klaus smirked at her cleverness, his eyes pained as they fell over her, daring her sadness to again grace her face, wishing with all his prowess as hunter, he'd have killed Katherine before ever this startling beauty had awoke in this world to be her victim. I should have saved you from her. I should have stopped it happening...….

"Katarina Petrova is a lie." Klaus whispered, brushing the back of his hand against Tal's smooth cheek. "She'll be anything you want..... for a night. She leaves nothing to the imagination, luring weak-minded men, and forgiving fops with redemption fantasies, like my brother, to their eventual deaths or tortured madness. She's a plastic, flashy, bait, and oh watch the masses swarm to impale their greedy mouths on her hook. But beneath it all, My Darling, beneath the bad girl bravado, bratty little scathes, suggestive smirks, and the less than there outfits, beneath the over zealous eye make-up, and the stench of vodka and gaudy florals, Katherine Pierce is an empty shell...….

There's nothing inside the barely wrapped package. She's shimmers in all her tasteless glory, presents herself as something to be pursued, lusted after, only because...… She cannot convince herself she's anything but an arm ornament. She can lie, beguile, homewreck to her black little heart's content, but it doesn't fill the emptiness, for there is one other besides myself, Katarina cannot fool. Herself. Katarina Petrova died in the fourteenth century, and even with her newly minted vampire upgrade, forgot how to live, how to feel anything beyond the physical, the tragically shallow. All she has to offer is her flimsy flung body, her shiny hollowed shell, and once you've cracked that open, there is nothing left of her. She disintegrates. She's a mirage, nothing more. A trick of the eye. The girl everybody takes to bed, but nobody wants in the morning...……"

Natalia collapsed against his shoulder, tears streaming from her eyes, the pain of the past summoned from the depths, she'd tried for two hundred years to drown it in. He brought his forefinger, under her chin, and gracefully, lifted her lovely head, his eyes intense, and severe.

"That boy is a fool...… who will always prize the gratification of the now, over the wooing and the winning of a truly beautiful soul...… It is nothing short of sacrilege that your name should ever be uttered in the same breath as hers...…. Natalia...…." He released her, standing back up, lowering his formidable frame into a humbled bow, arms outstretched. "Do not praise me for what is only natural to the naked eye. You are a GODDESS even among the immortals."

Natalia stared back at him, her dark eyes glistening, wide, and dazzled, and he sank to the ground, slain, resting his forehead against her knee, like a sinner before a virgin saint. "But I too am a fool, Red Queen, for taking two hundred years, to confess to you my affections. In truth, my own crime is that much more damning than even the salacious sins of your fickle fiancé and his malignant mistress."

Natalia stood up at once, frenzied, grabbing Klaus' forearms, and urging him back to his feet. "No!!! No, Klaus, don't you DARE say that...…. Damn it, you have NEVER hurt me, like he hurt me!!!! I know why you withheld your affection, all that time, I know why you kept it a secret...…. Look at me!!!! I'm an unstoppable force because of you. Your masterpiece...…"

"You left me......." He said solemnly, pulling away from her arms, his face hardening. "I must have hurt you far more carelessly than even your cavalier musketeer, because you left, and you didn't even say goodbye. Tell me. Tell me, it was Elijah," He pleaded, almost angrily, his voice shaking, uncertain. "Tell me he convinced you to go, begged you to stay away from me, tell me it was his doing, and not yours!"

Natalia shook her smoky curls, concealing these far too honest tears, staring down at her satin high heels. Why do we do this? Why do we torture each other, right when we're both finally happy? It's been plaguing you hasn't it? You impossibly cryptic man, why didn't you say anything before!? Why are you asking me THIS now?

"You told me...… never to lie to you." She said calmly, crossing her arms over her chest, as Klaus looked back with another hard expression, though she could see the tears threatening to fall.

"Why did you leave me?" He asked again, his voice unwavering, his lip protruding with his own indignation.

"Oh my God, how many times can we have this same conversation? Don't do this, Klaus, don't ask me that, not here, not now, don't ruin it when it's this good, this perfect? Are you so self-destructive? I told you! I didn't want to be the Mikaelson Pet Project anymore, I'd lived my whole life under someone else's roof, someone else's rule, and I wanted to be FREE, I wanted to go where I wanted to go, be MYSELF, on my own!!! I did what was best for me, even if it wasn't what you wanted!!! GOD forbid I do anything outside of the damned Sire Bond!!!!"

"WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME!?!?" Klaus roared, the threatened tears falling, his face red, his hands shaking, and she stared back with tears in her own eyes, the fire quelled, her voice a gasping, fragile sound.

"Because...… I was in love with a man that didn't love me back, and I'd rather go through the absolute hell of losing him, than do that all over again, give so much of myself to someone that didn't want me, couldn't love me...…. I'm not perfect, but I don't make the same mistake twice...…"

Klaus' eyes widened, his brow pulled back, surprised and devastated with the revelation, his tears streaming in silent trails from his eyes. "You thought me...…. indifferent?"

Natalia cried harder, her dark eyes flashing fire, smoke through the mist. "I would have BEGGED for your indifference."

Klaus' chest shuddered, the reverberating sound thunderous, and he ran to her, grasping each side of her face, the felled tears lingering wet on his lips, both of them bathed in the fading crimson light, the colour withdrawing.

"I understand...…." He whispered, tasting the salt as he spoke. "I was...….. in a prolonged distemper. But I assure you, the ravages of my soul that stemmed from my violent adoration of you, could not in any sense be deemed indifferent."

Natalia scoffed, wiping her eyes, but she relented to his touch, and let the sensory memory of the night's previous advances frolic across her skin. "I'm sorry, did you just say, distemper? Are you freaking kidding me? You were a REAL piece of work back then, and you know it!!!!"

Klaus cracked a bashful smile, his eyes guilty and pleading. "I was, wasn't I? Well, I needn't tell you........ much has changed."

He plucked up her glass, and what remained of the bloodwine, handing it carefully back to her. "I'm not that same man, Natalia, and you know it. My paper mask has come off, burnt away by your fire. My masquerade has ended, for good this time. This is my true face, my desire unmasked. I want to give you everything, the Blood Moon, the bloodwine, every luxury you were denied back then, everything I denied you, including my own miserable heart, I offer you now. Live with me, Talia. Live with me...…"

"You CRAZY, lunatic hybrid!!! You've finally LOST it!!!" She stared back incredulous, her fingers trembling against the glass, and she shivered before she drank deeply, knocking the rest of it back.

"Talia, listen to me now, it won't be as it was last time, there is no call, no dire, immediate urgency to make you stronger, you are the warrior, hell, you are more than the warrior I'd always dream you'd be!!! I will be perfect, I'll be a saint, you can come and go as you please, just live with me? I'm a boyfriend, you said it yourself, and although I've never been one before, boyfriends live with their girlfriends....." He blurred intimately close, hands on her hips, his eyes almost manic.

"Klaus!!! Are you HEARING yourself!? How drunk are you!? Rebekah and I would KILL each other!!! It would be a DISASTER!!!" Tal shook her head vehemently, disturbed by this outburst, shivering again as his warm hands moved against the satin hanging from her hips.

Klaus moaned, his voice a whimper. "Oh now, you're just making me want it more. No fair teasing. Kill Rebekah if you fancy it, for God's sake, toss the whole lot of them out, I don't bloody care, as long as you're there...… with me."

"You're serious?" Natalia shook her head again, stepping hesitantly back, overwhelmed, as he continued to caress her hips with a rising fever, kissing under her jaw. "Imagine it, Darling, everything you could ever want at your fingertips, lavender-vanilla scented jacuzzi baths every morning, decadent feasts, the crème de la crème of blood, and the best of the alcohol, all the sumptuous, silken dresses you could ever wear, I am desperate, tell me...…. Tell me what will coax you, and I will move heaven and earth to procure it."

"Klaus, wait, slow down-"

"I've done my waiting, two hundred years, no more waiting, Tal, for either of us, more doing, living, lavishing!!! If you would feel more at ease, I'll have a room of your own prepared to your tastes, exactly as you would like, I need you Talia, I've always needed you, I need my girlfriend, My Goddess."

"Okay, first off, we both know we'd just lock ourselves away in your room, so spare whatever decorator you plan on berating to make mine perfect. And no fair, dangling the temptation of daily lavender-vanilla jacuzzi baths, you know I can't resist those, that's totally cheating!!! Also, you can call yourself my boyfriend, okay, but don't get too excited, Sire Mine, because we're not like going steady or anything. Item? Yes. Committed relationship? Try no. I don't do those anymore, for good reason. I'm not going to live with you, Klaus, that was never the deal. As....…. tempted as I am, and actually completely charmed by your offer, you know, since you made it sound like heaven, and as much of an incentive as it would be, getting to kill Rebekah and all, we aren't there yet...… Not even close."

He nodded reluctantly, taking both of her hands, rather loving how defiant she could be, deny something no matter how irresistible the enticement. "Might I propose a counter offer, a compromise?"

"Klaus-"

"One night...…." He whispered, his voice full of intrigue, the whimsical sound beckoning to her, as he kissed the back of one hand, and then the other, his eyes tender, and shimmering. "One night, and I'll never ask again. You said I made it sound like heaven, Tal, let us even being the wicked creatures that we are, know heaven for one night."

Natalia bit her lip, fully expecting everything inside of her to scream no, there being only a thousand reasons why this could NOT happen, and yet the hallelujah of yes' chorused through her entire being. Oh my God. I can't believe you talked me into this! You, being all vulnerable, and adorable, surrendering yourself, erasing my old scars, did you really just kneel at my feet? I'm supposed to hate you. Why...... don't I hate you?

"Yes. One night. Nobody finds out."

Klaus' brow slanted forward salaciously, slowly bringing her hand from his lips. "As you wish, Mi Reina...…."

Natalia couldn't help herself, she broke into a very warm, welcoming smile, Klaus' perfect Spanish accent melting away all the objections she couldn't right now remember. I love it when you speak my language, Mi Hambre.

Klaus chuckled, softly at first, and then with more confident mirth, and Natalia marveled at the drastic change in him, even from hours ago. Who WAS this Madman!? Her Sullen Sire had been by the Blood Moon transformed. Had she- had she never seen Klaus this happy before?

"What, what is it?" She asked, exasperated, fighting her own laugh, and her heart stopped as he spun her around, without hesitation, sending her blood red skirts in a floating satin trail, every which way.

"Going steady...… such a mundane, hateful term for something as passionate and volatile as love. I don't want anything so sensible with you...… I want...…. madness. 4) What is your favourite genre to write for?

Huh, I only write little fanfic pieces, so my “genre” would really be short stories. Does hurt/comfort or angst count as a genre? It does because I say so.

6) If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why?

NO! Don’t make me do this! Okay no I actually do have an answer. I posted a rather embarrassing fic on fanfiction dot net back in 2012 - a (hngh I can barely even say it) Twilight/Inkheart crossover. I wrote it in earnest, completely. It’s not finished. nobody go read it, I’m not posting a link.

11) Have you ever amended a story due to criticisms you’ve received after posting it?

No. I’ve been pretty lucky, actually, in terms of receiving criticism. I’ve never gotten anything harsh or unfair - but I don’t make a habit of taking any criticisms to heart. It’s my story and I’ll only change it if I want to.

12) Who is your favourite character to write for? Why?

I love writing Jack Kline from SPN, because he’s cute and kind of naive. I like writing out his thought processes, the childlike way he interacts with the world.

My other favorite would probably be the noble Elijah, because he interacts with the world in a detached manner that my writing is really suited to. And his thought process is usually pretty simple: guilt, Niklaus, family, Rebekah, Niklaus, guilt, Niklaus, family, and more guilt. Boom! Instant Elijah. :’)

13) Who is your least favourite character to write for? Why?

Dean Winchester. I never feel like I have his voice down as well as Sam or Jack. And I can never decide if I should keep his less-than-desirable canon qualities or write him more to my liking.

17) Post a line from a WIP that you’re working on.

Gladly! In this WIP, teenage Klaus and Elijah are captured by an enemy of Mikael’s, and they take comfort in each other as they hope for rescue.

“Tell me a story. Tell me about the wolves.” Niklaus had wormed his head in between Elijah’s arms, despite his bound hands. Now Elijah was curled against his back, their bodies fitted together just like when they were small. When baby Rebekah’s crying had woken him, and he’d crawled to his big brother for comfort. Elijah would hold him close and whisper stories into his hair. When Rebekah grew older and sought out her Nik in the dark, Niklaus had repeated the practice with her.

19) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to?

Already answered! I can’t think of any more fics atm.

21) Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire?

I have several fic writers I admire! I can’t even choose one. I’ll choose two: @thelegendofwinchester and @aeruthien, both of whom have an excellent, intimate understanding of the characters they write. I can always trust them to write good fic I’ll enjoy. 😊❤

24) How do you feel about writing smutty scenes?

Well despite my blog title, I am still a huge prude and riddled with immense guilt, so writing smut is an uphill battle for me! There are a lot of cringing, typing-things-and-running-away shenanigans when I try it. I tend to keep things very vague, focusing mostly on the emotional climax (hee pun) and I’ve never been brave enough to post any. Maybe one day!

25) Have you ever cried whilst writing a story?

Yes! I’ve mentioned this here before, but I cried while writing Spiral. It was one of my first forays into writing sick!Jack, and he hadn’t even died yet on the show. I got very emotional imagining this poor boy experiencing sickness for the first time. I still do, tbh.

26) Which part of your xxx fic was the hardest to write? (Hard to hold onto, anyway)

This fic was very easy to write, actually! It was short and to the point - Klaus misses his baby girl. I enjoyed coming up with little scenarios of Klaus interacting with Hope. Babies are adorable, and a lot of fun to write!

Oh! I mention the street name in the fic, where the Mikaelsons live. I didn’t know the street name. I spent at least half an hour on Google Maps, trying to find the building they use for the compound exterior. It was frustrating - they add things digitally in the show that aren’t there in real life, making the landmarks harder to find. I did get it in the end, though! Royal Street. Gosh.

29) Do you have a story that you feel doesn’t get as much love as you’d like?

All my TO fics? Because the fandom is dead and has been since before I joined? I’m kidding. I like our little circle jerk 😊

Actually, the most underrated is probably Cold Bones. I don’t expect a ton of interaction on my Teen Wolf fics, because that fandom is dead too. Especially the Stydia fandom :( But this particular fic just...wasn’t anybody’s cup of tea. I get it, it’s dark. I was very proud of it, though!

30) In contrast to 29 is there a story which gets lots of love which you kinda eye roll at?

None that I would eyeroll specifically, because if I post a fic I’m always proud of it. But I do find it funny that a silly Star Wars fic I wrote featuring Baby Yoda and a poly ship is second highest on my kudos rankings. I wrote this as a joke for my irl friend, guys! Wait I know why! it’s not gen! silly me

33) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten?

Any compliment wins me over instantly, pretty much. But I’m especially touched when somebody tells me “You really nailed that character,” or: “I stopped what I was doing/stayed up late to read this.”

36) Can you give us a spoiler for one of your WIP’s?

Already answered! But I’ll give another for a different fic, since I have a ton of WIPs. I’ve been working on the Star Wars AU for a very long time now, and while I’ve replaced most of the Star Wars characters with Supernatural characters, I kept Ahsoka Tano in the story. It doesn’t make any sense for her to be there, but I don’t care. She’s in the story, and she’s going to shoot Dean in the hand. And it’ll be funny.

37) What’s the funniest story you’ve written?

Funny? Excuse me ma’am this is an angst only area, there is none of this funny you speak of.

I’m not kidding, most of my fics take the angst and dial it up to 11. I guess the one that’s the most lighthearted is This Is Not a Panic Attack, a Stydia fic in which Stiles becomes a werewolf. Lydia is there for his transformation, and she is hilariously blasé about the danger she’s in. She needles him a bit, teases him about worrying. And that’s about as funny as it gets here, folks. I don’t write humor very well.

41) What’s you favourite minor character you’ve written?

Here’s the thing. My fics are very to the point. Quick in, quick out. No detours. I generally focus on one or two characters, and that’s it. Very few characters exist on the periphery.

HOWEVER! I just remembered this as I was typing the above paragraph. I put Madga Peterson in my Supernatural Men of Letters AU Stitch by Stitch. Even though she only had a few lines, I loved resurrecting her (I mean what? she totally survived, what am I talking about) and giving her some confidence in her powers. Also, this is a world where Sam rescued and mentored her, so that gives me happiness.

42) Song fic - What made you decide to use the song xxx for xxx.

So I haven’t ever written a true songfic, but the closest I ever got was probably  J'avais rêvé d'un autre vie, the Amnesia-Lijah fic. It’s centered around the song Ne Me Quitte Pas, which makes me cry in klelijah every time I hear it. The inspo for that fic actually came from this edit that @aeruthien made, which put the song on my radar and the hurt in my heart.

44) What is the last line you wrote?

Oh boy it’s a good one. This is from the same fic I talked about in #17:

As they were thrown to the ground, Elijah managed to break his fall with a relatively unscathed shoulder. Niklaus wasn’t so lucky. He landed squarely on his back, on the fresh, open lashes. An inhuman cry burst from his lips as he buried his face in the dirt.

47) Here’s a fic title - insert a made up title. What would this story be about? (the light is an illusion)

Okay, maybe this is because there’s been so much TO discussion on my dash lately, but this absolutely sounds like something that discusses Klaus’s redemption. I’m thinking post s4, post that scene of little Hope seeing Klaus covered in blood - something happens to Hope that requires Klaus to come back to New Orleans. Say she’s kidnapped, or just missing. Hayley convinces Klaus to return, and also forces him to confess why he’s so reluctant to have anything to do with the daughter he adores. Thus Hayley learns of their rift, of Klaus screaming get out at his horrified child, and she must convince him that he’s still worthy of being her father. The Hollow magic is handwaved somehow, and Hope is traumatized beyond measure when they recover her. Klaus and Hayley must exercise their combined parenting muscles to bring her back to herself.

48) What’s your favourite trope to write?

Tropes! Tropes everywhere. So many. My favorites have something to do with hands - holding hands, touching someone’s face. Forehead kisses are a good one, too. Forehead touches. A tough, stoic character melting only for that one person, you know the one. One character is hurt and the other gets really upset about it. You know, generally soft things.

Elena is the daughter of Doctor Greyson Gilbert and older sister to Jeremy Gilbert. Her twin sister Katherine died in the purge the year before after being caught out after hours. At least that is what the family was led to believe.

REASON FOR PURGE: Elena and Jeremy were home alone when their house was attacked. Their father was stuck at the hospital because of a surgery complication, the house was boarded up with a state of the art security system. Only just after the purge began, the security was disabled by none other than Katherine, wanting to get rid of her perfect twin sister and slip into her place. Jeremy and Elena fought their way out and went on the run meeting up with Davina on the streets. Davina is the cousin of Matt, and she travels to Mystic Falls to see her cousin and ends up there during the time of crisis. Matt dies right in front of her, killed by Katherine. So during this time, Davina is on the prowl for Katherine to get revenge for Matt's death. Now, the three of them are on the streets fighting for survival against the purgers and their own blood.

What was supposed to be a weekend of fun (It was for all it lasted) led to waking up Sunday morning with a ring on my finger and a tall and dangerous man laying in my bed beside me with a marriage certificate nearby. What happens in Vegas my ass! Jace, reminded me of another man in my life that I hated with a passion now. He had the know it all ability, and cocky personality that Jude has… you can imagine how much I didn’t like that. We parted ways with a promise of his lawyer contacting me about the annulment. Only dear old dad answered the phone… leading to me being sent to the Emergency room, Eugene in Jail for almost killing our father after he came back from leave and saw our father pounding me with his fist. Oh and then six months after that the virus hit the world… so the divorce kinda wasn’t on my mind. Well until now… How was I supposed to know that the one-day I decided to volunteer and gather supplies… my past would quite literally run into me?

Neither girl knows that it was actually Niklaus, who was responsible for Dia’s disconnect from the Scooby Gang.

Closed Storylines

WHAT ARE CLOSED STORYLINES? Closed storylines are storylines that I have had over the years where the other writer and I have either stopped talking, the story concluded or the roleplay just died. After so long of being in this verse I realized that not many people are appreciative of the time they had regardless of the circumstances that some friendships have ended or when a person just leaves roleplay completely. You just discard the writing, delete or block the person and all the time & hard work you both put into the story vanishes into thin air. I want to change that.

Some of you may wonder why am I writing responses to people that aren't currently apart of my life. Or save my old writings that never went anywhere... but honestly? Why shouldn't I. To close one chapter in your life, you have to acknowledge and give respect to the past. That's what the history books say. Just because it ended, doesn't mean it was not real.

Therefore, whoever you are. Whatever our story was... In the end of one chapter of my life I learned to appreciate the memories I have had over the years in roleplay. To all my peers in this verse I want to thank you for writing these incredible storylines with me. However, long or short that period was. I hope that whoever is taking the time to read these stories, enjoy it as much as we had writing them.

Will ( READ ) - AU/AH/Crossover - Who knew that stepping off the plane in London, England would be equivalent to stepping into a rabbit hole? 20 year old, Elena Gilbert was new to the towering walls and beauty of the campus known as Dodgson University. From what she knew, her parents died, and her younger brother was sent to an art school in Georgia, while Lena was in a mental institution because she believed she should have died with her parents. After recovering from the trauma, she was sent to live with her mother’s cousin in England and to study her doctorate program in the acclaimed university, under a new name, Lena Somers. Her fresh start. 

What she didn’t know was that in reality, her memories were wiped clean by Elijah Mikaelson after the love of her life, Damon Salvatore, was left on the other side with her best friend Bonnie Bennett. Although, she originally went to Alaric in the hopes that he would take her memories away, she realized that she couldn’t ask that of her love’s best friend and turned to the one person who could help her start over. Without vampires, the supernatural, the pain and grief, to go back before Stefan walked into her life… before she remembered that Damon met her first. Elijah, agreeing that it was in her best interest, sent her to England, to Judith Sommers, her mother’s cousin with false memories of treatments, and getting into this stable place in her life where she could become the person her parents always wished for. For a month she lived a happy and at ease in her life, but than Damon and Bonnie came back… with the cure and the gang once again reunited with Elena. 

However, before they gave her the cure to transform her to a human once more, they saw how happy she was. Happier than she had ever been in Mystic Falls, and while Damon knew that he couldn’t live an eternity without her, at Jeremy’s insistence they agreed that Elijah would re-wipe Elena’s memories after she took the cure and give her 4 years of freedom from all the supernatural world. Once she started her life after college, her memories would be given to her once more and she would decide if she would blend her two lives together or pick one or the other… Damon promised to always watch out for her, and that he would take care of her loved ones till it was time. 

With the gang gone and Lena starting her first day of college,  no one expected that there would be hidden supernatural crime underground that ruled London, similar to the quarter. Or that a young blonde man, with blue eyes would cast his eyes upon that Somers girl and mistake her for the vampire vixen that was known as Rowan Lockheart…Being the hunter he is, what better way to destroy the enemy who’s family was responsible for the death of his brother. The woman he loved. What better way to erect vengeance, on the young blossom of the crime family? Only poor little Will Oakheart couldn’t be more wrong.

Tapout ( READ ) - When Damon killed Aaron, instead of Enzo finding him, it's Elena. After a fight over Damon wanting to kill off Aaron's bloodline and knowing that Aaron would be next, Elena begged him not to, pleading for his life. Damon tells Elena that while he would do anything for her...this isn't one of them. As he was walking out the door, using the last piece she could to get him to stay, Elena tell's him that if he walks out that door she would be done with him. He kept walking, and Elena followed determined to save Aaron's life... unfortunately she was too late. While the two were in the middle of a fight Enzo shows up and he infects her. Damon begins to freaks out because he has been living with this virus, and he doesn't want Elena to suffer like he has. Leaving Mystic Falls, the two set out for New Orleans to find a cure... Only with a vampire nest near by what will the rippers do? And who will be caught in the crossfire...

Firewater ( READ ) - New to Mystic Falls, Aaron a necromancer begins to have blackouts that lead her to that little graveyard that no one goes to. At least from how it appears. The town itself is in a wreck and chaos is all over, why Aaron's parents brought her here to the hunky dunk town with a clocktower straight out of a creepy movie is beyond her imagination. Which brings her back to the graveyard, past the old mausoleum and deep in the middle, there is a girl writing in her diary. Aaron doesn't know anything about that tainted Gilbert Girl, only while there is chaos brewing all around the girl looks strangely at peace. Sad yet peaceful. Aaron goes up to Elena, not realizing she is an apparition... and begins talking to her. Elena not realizing that Aaron is real... thinks her mind is finally playing tricks on her. Because of bonnie's curse she can't go anywhere. They begin to bond of their tragic lives and past loves, slowly falling into a friendship that would truly be tested when Aaron has to kill the one person she truly loved and trusted in order to test her powers. But also to save her best friend from a trapped life.

Black Kitten ( READ ) - When two doppelgängers discover that they are actually sisters who share the same mother and every single thing that they thought they knew about their life was false... what turmoil would that bring? How would Katherine and Elena reconcile the fact that despite being sworn enemies they were connected further through an unbreakable bond? 

Storyline was never kicked off. All we got through was the planning stage... but all that crap alone was brilliant! I will be putting a close to this sl with the writing of the scene created in the gifs. It seems right.

Charlotte, NC ( READ ) - It started again. The nightmares that left her sleepless as the auburn haired-girl remembered her past; that put Zanesville, front and center of her mind. Throw into the melting pot the fact that her Mate, Angel, would never be hers… yet her heart clearly hasn’t accepted that. Charlotte did the one thing that would get her to calm down… Drink.
