Some how you're actually calm around The Akutagawa siblings and never fussed and stopped crying around them

Some how you could fall asleep on anyone (not M*ri though he never got a chance to touch you (Why does that sound so wrong))

If you cry Chuuya is giving you to Kouyou to calm you down

Also if you cry he’ll use his ability and make you fly around (not too high) until you calm down

When he leaves for a mission you're staying with Kouyou until he gets back or you're going with one of the Akutagawa sibling weather they like it or not.

After his mission or the end of the day he takes you home and washes you up as well as himself and you both go to bed.

Tanizaki Jun'ichirō was chosen for the agency transfer deal and was made to apprentice under chuuya.

No one could understand why , someone who is flashy, loud and naturally attract attention like chuuya doesn't fit with the stealth requested of an illusion user.

Everyone was asking themself what was mori thinking ??? While he only had a sphinx smile on his face and would dote on Elise when peoples would try to ask for explanation.

At first it was a disaster especially because he was aware of what he tried to do with mori and on his first impression he though that tanizaki was trying to poison him , while he was just nervous and the coffee ended in disaster and It's not the only misunderstanding that they had .

Even when dazai tried to help in his own dazai way , well it only made it worst.

But they both discovered that they have things in common like their want to protect their loved one and their willingness to do anything for it, it was a frustrasted tanizaki who wanted to get stronger who approached chuuya first.

Chuuya helped him train and got the help of others mafia members, kouyou, Verlaine and Gin for stealth, undercover mission and assassination, an healed tachihara for spy work who also helped with higuchi to have him master gun fight, hirotsu imparted him his old man wisdom and he had to train with akutagawa who didn't go easy on him, he don't envy atsushi in the slightless to have him as his rival.

Tanizaki couldn't compare himself to ranpo-san, dazai-san, the port mafia boss and that creepy russian man in term of intellect but he wasn't stupid and know how to read the room chuuya was always more harsh on him when dazai-san bothered him so for his sake and with the help of atsushi-kun, naomi, kyouka-chan and ranpo-san san that they bribed and an amused Yosano-sensei they all tried to distract the two of them from each others.

Which is so frickin hard for someone who claim to hate each others so vehemently , they are drawn to each others like a moth to a flame, it's like they have a radar who alert them of each others presence.

But it also have his advantage when dazai-san would sneak into chuuya-san room like usual naomi would follow him .

( it used to have atsushi and kyouka with them but then atsushi-kun and akutagawa would fight each others and the property damage will be deduced from his salary , it's so unfair, he's innocent and then he will have to suffer from kouyou-san passive aggressive comment who still don't like atsushi-kun and with kyouka, Kouyou-san will be too busy doting on her to do her job ).

He learned valuable lesson from that like to ignore when dazai-san and chuuya-san fight sound suspiciously like flirting.

Looking back Jun'ichirō could admit that while it was hard and ackward at first it was beneficial for him and he fell more confident.

On Kouyou and Mori's relationship

@2offayyo-kzt THANK YOU FOR ASKING because you prompted me to talk about Kouyou and I love talking about Kouyou. Original post the reply is referring to.

Okay most of it comes from the Kouyou / Mori / Chuuya scene at the closing of the guild arc. First off: in chapter 37 we are made aware that Kouyou decided to stay at the agency of her own accord. Besides from the reasons she had to stay, it's just pretty cool how it's confirmed that Kouyou doesn't feel like having Mori's orders or will she has to answer to and just... Pretty much is free to do whatever she wants. She doesn't care about what Mori requires from her - Mori who most definitely would have wanted her back at the pm as soon as possible - and just acts of her own accord, which is something that even Chuuya doesn't do.

Following up, Kouyou and Mori also reflect over how she's perfectly capable of freely leave the pm, yet she chooses not to (btw her little smirk following Mori acknowledgement of her abilities is SO cute). Again, it goes to show how independent she is from Mori (pretty much putting her on his same level I guess?), being able to leave the pm facing no consequences or retaliation, and just in general how master of her fate she is. It's nice, it's RARE for a franchise where female characters are usually just thrown from one side to the other by external factors and rarely get to choose for themselves.

Then - and so far I strayed a bit from the initial matter, but this is most relevant to the point I was making in the original post - she says “Shut up. I'll sew your mouth shout.” There's A LOT in those lines because it plainly shows how she just... Doesn't fear Mori, doesn't fear calling him out on his creepy behavior, doesn't fear (playfully? ← arguable) menacing him. She's just so unbound and free and self-governed, and totally unbothered by Mori unlike any other character (except for, well, Elise, who's part of Mori herself). It's a joy to see.

Next, the volume 10 extra. The “that's why I told you”, “I'll punch you”, it all goes to reinforce the concept that Kouyou is perfectly unafraid of Mori and doesn't shy away from calling him out and scolding him even sternly. But it's especially interesting to compare her behavior with Chuuya's. Where Chuuya tries to find accomodations for Mori, Kouyou scolds him, and later even accuses Chuuya of being “spoiling him”; their approach is completely different, and as a consequence their relationships with Mori are diametrically opposite. Again, back to my initial point: even Chuuya, who is one of the most self-reliant characters of them all, knows he has to answer to Mori, and accordingly treats him with respect; Kouyou is perfectly unbothered and unafraid.

And even more examples: chapter 42, Kouyou openly arguing with Mori's decision, lacking that mentality that is shared between pm operatives that Mori's plans are infallible and there's no point in questioning them (just think about how sure, confident and even smug Chuuya was about Mori's plan during the Guild arc, chapter 22). Chapter 43, Kouyou spending “half a year's worth of founds” to attack a government van, which I can guess goes against what Mori wants for the pm (lol) and once again just shows how Kouyou... Freely bosses around and does whatever she wants, answering to no one.

With this I'm not saying Kouyou doesn't care about Mori. She DOES care about Mori, she just doesn't in a “subordinate is loyal to their superior” kind of way. She cares about Mori, the thing is that she does because she chooses to and not for any other constraint, which arguably makes her the person that is closer and most loyal to him?? Because she has no second means for being loyal to him, and just does that because she wants to, which makes her loyalty the truest, most authentic one. And Mori knows that, and that's why she deserves to be the next pm boss, and I know they (authors) will never make her but she deserves it and she's the pm boss of my heart end of conversation.

Headcanon time while we're at it, I like to think for Kouyou to address to Mori so informally and familiarly is a way to make up / compensate for the trauma she underwent with the previous boss. When Mori killed the previous boss, she swore she would have never lived in fear again, and even though she ultimately decided to stay in the darkness, it's now her choice; a choice she personally and freely makes despite being aware of potentially, realistically being able to leave at any moment. Addressing Mori as he was her equal is a way for Kouyou to remind to herself about how free and unbound she is.

About Mori and Kouyou, I like to think they had this siblings-like relationship since before Mori became boss I mean, they canonly go cherry blossom sighting together. I like to think a very small, subconscious part of Mori killed the previous boss because Mori held resentment towards him for hurting Kouyou- but that's definitely straying too far alcbdklzbdkskxbks. I like to think Kouyou wanted Kyouka in the pm because she genuinely believed that under hers and Mori's lead Kyouka could be happy, that the pm was the place that most would have welcomed Kyouka, welcomed what Kouyou believed to be her nature.

BSD Circus! AU

the circus has rolled into town. The ringmaster Mori is ready for buisness, but one of his children, Dazai, is over the circus. The night they arrive, he sneaks off to climb a tree and hide from responsibilities when…

Dazai:

Dazai, dialing mori: hey dad we just got robbed

After checking, all that was stolen was some rope, water, and food: but Mori is annoyed and sends dazai out to go look for the culprits. Dazai wanders around the new town a bit in boredom before he sees the ginger haired fellon, sitting in a tree. He watches for a moment.

The grace was amazing, something that made dazai stare and stop for a second. Hed seen acrobats but this felt new. (At least it would if i didnt make such a low quality gif but hey, sue me I’m tired.)

dazai, once again on phone with mori: hey mori i have an idea.

Mori comes to where dazai is and they go into the house dazai saw them enter; theyre squatting there. They’re scared, but chuuya steps in front of the others. Mori explains the offer: they can either get arrested for theft, or mori will be willing to forgive the incident… if chuuya agrees to join the circus.

chuuya: >:0 like hell I’ll join your circus-

shirase: yeah and like hell I’m going with the police you can have them

Do u think kouyou secretly has affection for Dazai? Because he's so close to Chuuya and now is also helping Kyouka?

Kouyou has the type of personality to have at least SOME affection for Dazai, but she also understands that, like Mori, trusting Dazai to be more than a negotiator is not a good idea. But then she agrees to let Kyouka stay in the ADA, because she talks to Dazai, and...she trusts him enough to keep Kyouka safe.

Thinking about modern/high school bsd AU where I put every single family dynamic I can possibly think of

So, first we have the Sakunosuke siblings, Adopted children of Oda and Ango! That is, Dazai, Atsushi, Kyouka and Yumeno. They're neighbors of the Nakahara's that are quite a interesting family, no one really knows what happened to their parents but is consisted of also 4 siblings, Verlaine, Chuuya, Kouyou and Kenji.

Chuuya and Dazai have a very.. nice.. friendship of course, despite all the curses and threats both consider eachother bestfriends, Dazai has the habit of never using the door when is about the Nakahara's house, and at this points Chuuya learned to not lock his window.

On school, we have the amazing book club that is self-nominate the "detective agency" (wich only one member agreed on the name *cough* Ranpo *cough*) Dazai, Atsushi end up there by well, accident, the one who actually wanted to be part of was Kyouka but she was too shy to ask to enter so she asked for the help of her older brothers, wich was a complete mistake being both of them so socially awkward that end up with them also being part of the club completely on accident. Well, is not like they did not start to enjoy being part of it at some point too.

The school also has a famous band! The black lizards, that have the lead singer Chuuya, Gin in the bass, Tachihara on the drums and Higuchi and Ryuunosuke on the guitars (and also their biggest fans Yumeno and Kenji)

Ok, there is SO much more to talk about but I'm gonna focus on the rest of the family dynamics for now! First we have Kunikida and his younger sister Aya, they have such a big age gap that Kunikida acts more like her father than anything else (principally with their actual father not being a good one). We have the Akuatagawa twins that end end up orphans very early on life but were very luck to find a good new dad called Hirotsu, and we have honorable mention to Tachihara that really wanted to be adopted by the old man since his family is shit but didn't get his opportunity yet, but trust me, he basically already lives there anyway. For last but not least we have the super duo of siblings, Yosano and Ranpo, both adopted in different times by a literature teacher aka Fukuzawa.

There are also some angst there and there but its supposed to be mainly a comfort AU! I was planning on writing and posting on Ao3 as a kinda of "slice-of-life" novel, but while I dont have the time for it I'll just be rambling here hehe
