EL BELLA VISTA (2012) dir. Alicia Cano Menoni The story of a house started as a football club, becoming a successful trans brothel and changes at last to a Catholic Chapel, all in a small conservative village in Uruguay. Cantoras by Caro De Robertis
"She looked out at the landscape, now cloaked in the last dregs of twilight. A beauty she could never get used to, never wanted to get used to, though she longed to know it in every light and mood."

Spectator waving #PrideRainbowFlag and wearing #superman T-shirt demanding #respectforIranianwomen storms #WorldCup clash between #Portugal and #Uruguay in protest against #Qatar -‘s anti- #LGBT laws. #🏳️‍🌈 The man wore a blue superman t-shirt with the words #SaveUkraine written on the front as he stormed onto the pitch in the second half of the group stage match.  #🇺🇦 The t-shirt also had #respectforIranianwomen written on the back in reference to the anti-regime #Iranprotestss in recent months. 🇮🇷 He was chased by security across the field as he held the #Prideflag above his head, before he was eventually grabbed and led away. 🏳️‍🌈 #Iranian match referee, #AlirezaFaghani picked up the #Prideflag🏳️‍🌈 after it was dropped on the turf as the man was bundled off to allow the game to continue after a few minutes of interruption.  Some fans cheered support for the protestor as he ran across the field before being dragged off. Being #gay is illegal in #Qatar with a jail sentence of up to seven years, leading to huge controversy around the tournament. Many players and pundits, including the #Wales and #Germany teams, have been embroiled in an argument with #FIFA over their right to wear #OneLove armbands during their matches. FIFA bosses threatened 'unlimited' disciplinary action and yellow cards if players wore the armband in support of highly controversial hosts Qatar. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🇩🇪 🏳️‍🌈 Fans have also been stopped from wearing #rainbow🌈 bucket hats and carrying #rainbowflags🌈 in stadiums.  #🌈 ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 #loveislove #lgbtqa #loveislove🌈 #rainbowlaces🌈 #bre_stjames (at Concord, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/ClhgxLfr__d/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Cristiano Ronaldo with a ghost goal against Uruguay. Other than that, the most entertaining thing about this match so far has been the pitch invader with the LGBT flag.

for the anon earlier. some random pnf headcanons 💯 i might have talked about some of these before but i'll take any chance to talk about stuff i like
i've DEFINITELY talked about this one before but as adults phineas and isabella are divorced besties with a son. they love each other soooo much but the romance part just didn't really work.
yall also already know i hc jeremy as bi but i find it worth mentioning because it was one of my first lgbt headcanons EVER after i figured out i could do that. buford and baljeet were probably first.
eliza and nicolette are endgame. do you see my vision
it doesn't matter to the show whatsoever but i do have ideas for what happened to mr flynn and mrs fletcher. in my timeline mr flynn was abusive and linda left him when she was pregnant with phineas, and mrs fletcher died at some point. idk how. ferb was too young to remember her. i have not worked out how close she and lawrence were but she had green hair
phineas and ferb cure multiple cancers in 10th grade and make the patents open-source
one of my early internet friends turned the drummer in jeremy's band into an oc named hugo.... he was in a situationship with jenny that lasted well past their 30s
speaking of jenny i think she and django disappeared for a bit because their rich artist dad took them to. like. greece or something. for the remainder of the summer and theyre just living their best life on a veranda on the other side of the planet until the school year starts
phineas, ferb, and baljeet COULD graduate VERY early but they purposely stay in the same grade as their friends because they love them. once the acts/sats/ap exams come around though its over for you hoes.
candace and stacy went to horse camp (a week long program during the summer teaching kids to ride horses) every summer until high school. at which point they decided it was For Babies. but they're both still horse girls deep down.
since we know that jeremy has liked candace longer than she's liked him, i think he was a really shy kid. he was too nervous to even look at her some days. when she gave him that pencil that one time, he didn't even say anything. he broke out of his shell later and became a friendly young man but candace still made him nervous. etc etc.
xavier and fred are movie buffs. they're usually logging one film per day. if letterboxd still exists on the future their profiles would be legendary.
jeremy picked the name fred. he was fine with candace already having names picked out, but once they found out they were having twins, she texted him a link to a baby name website and told him to pick his favorite. He picked Fred.
jeremy has written an entire album about candace and its all shit that sounds like Chasing Cars and candace LOVES IT
stacy interning at owca is how she meets her girlfriend vanessa and also how she meets her future wife in uruguay
buford and isabella have ice cream romcom sleepovers and nobody else is invited this is THEIR bonding time
IN MY TIMELINE JEREMY AND COLTRANE WERE AT THE ROBOT RIOT IN THE ORANGE TREEHOUSE ROBOT WHILE CANDACE AND STACY WERE IN THE PINK ONE. #COPING
sometimes the flynn fletcher kids would spend entire days at the antique shop before candace was old enough to watch the boys
this isn't really a headcanon but i want to see some isabella and jeremy bro moments. Because of In love with #TwoCrazyRedheads
Thats the only ones i can think of right now. My hands are shaking

hi dear! wanted to preface saying i’m sorry ppl are coming after you for what you said about islam.
i’m a woman of color (christian background but not religious) who lives in europe in a city that has become unbearable because of muslim men & i completely share what you say.
anyway i wanted to add that me & my bestie were talking about this & my bestie said something that stuck with me. basically she said that for most cultures & religions, areas who are richer & have lower crime rates also report lower rates of violence against women. this doesn’t mean that they are not sexist because all cultures are sexist but that by improving public security & economic conditions the women in these areas can live better.
this is something you see in every continent for example. russia has far more crime & is poorer than switzerland & it has more violence against women. cape verde has less violence against women than south africa bc is richer (well not exactly but is less unequal thus the average person is actually better) & has less crime & also less violence against women. mexico has more violence against women than chile & uruguay & it has more poverty & crime as a whole. this is basically true worldwide, at least for countries with a christian tradition.
now this is not to say that culture doesn’t have an influence bc it has & highest rates of violence against women are also influenced by culture (& religion given that christianity is sexist af). also even the “best” countries have a lot of misogyny. but we see in many countries that by implementing public security measures & bettering the economic conditions, women can live better (even if ofc the goal is liberation not simply *bettering* conditions).
but this is not true of muslim countries. very rich muslim countries like saudi arabia have among the most draconian laws against women & lgbt ppl. the rate of economic development of some muslim african countries had not reduced things like fgm. economic development correlates positively with women’s freedom in europe, latin america, non-muslim africa & asia but not in muslim countries. many muslim countries have also very low rates of crime bc drug dealers, robbers, etc. are punished very harshly but still they have incredibly high rates of violence against women. like in other places it’s a mix of culture, religion, crime & socioeconomic conditions, in muslim countries is 99% religion & culture. getting richer wouldn’t help much. the same discourse can be made regarding rights for lgbt ppl.
i don’t want to whitewash women’s oppression in non-muslim countries bc my own country (angola) is so fucking misogynistic. what i’m saying is that other places are at least beginning to show a minimum level of open-mindedness, especially in some parts of non-muslim asia & latam with things like gay marriage (like in japan!). while it seems to me that the muslim world is going in the opposite direction. tell me what do you think 🩵
Thank you for your message; it is truly insightful, and gives much food for thought. It's true that economic factors influence crime, including violence against women. I believe this stems from the fact that individuals suffering from poverty and failures feel they have nothing to lose and succumb to their worst instincts, disregarding social norms.
The fact that muslims resort to violence against women regardless of their level of wealth and comfort in life stems from the fact that, for them, this behavior kind of behavior is considered a social norm.
That's why this religion is so dangerous. It doesn't provide a moral internal barrier against violence and oppression of women. Instead, it normalizes and encourages it.
