dazai’s sibling couldve entered the agency a little bit before atsushi joined and one day on a mission they get injured and dazai goes all protecter mode for his sibling and at first no one thinks much of it until dazai casually mentions something about them being related and everyone’s like wait huh-

dazai and the reader could be different, like reader is more calm, a little crazy like their brother but more controlled and overall more responsible lol but once them and dazai team up it’s like they’re on the same level of crazy and everyone has that “yup they are siblings” moment

So okay. Would Chuuya be jealous? Yes and no. Yes, because thats *Chuuya’s* baby. But also, in the 15 era, when Dazai regresses with someone else (i do eventually want to do a fic where Dazai has to be babysat), i think he would just be super bratty the entire time because he wants chuuya. And i think it would be hard for chuuya to feel jealous when he knows the baby spent the whole time crying for him.

But also. 22 era. Dazai doesn’t have access to his blockers, so he can’t keep himself from regressing like he used to. Kunikida steps in. Do I think Chuuya would be grateful that Dazai was so well taken care of? That he would be happy his baby had someone looking out for him while they were separated? Yes. Do I think Chuuya would feel jealous that someone else was able to get Dazai to regularly regress? Absolutely.

oh also another thing that bugs me about how kunikida gets characterized is how often poeple describe him as someone super polite who never swears lmao. he has one of the most vulgar speech patterns in the series, the most of the ada for sure. he only uses honorifics for fukuzawa, ranpo and yosano, being direct and unofficial with the others, regularly calls atsushi "brat" and uses familiar/rude pronouns (like ore/omae/kisama) and people think he'd tell someone off for saying fuck

dazai: has never obeyed a traffic law in his LIFE. crashes every single car he's ever driven. on the absolute top of the "DO NOT LET DRIVE" list

kunikida: also a bad driver but doesn't think he is one. will stop in the middle an intersection at any point. has all road laws memorized but doesn't necessarily follow them.

ranpo: simply can't drive at all. even if he could he has no sense of direction and would manage to get hopelessly lost everytime.

yosano: a pretty good driver!! a little aggressive at times and has some of the most...um...creative road rage comments you'll ever hear but she can get to where she wants to go when she wants to with little chance of a crash. prefers taking the train to driving though.

fukuzawa: whenever hes driving someone else (esp an agency member) he's a perfect driver. when he's alone he definitely speeds lol

atsushi: such a nervous driver!!! (assuming anyone teaches him to drive) hc that he is a terrifying mix of dazai and kunikidas styles (because they taught him) and well. he can drive! but its not fun for anyone.

kyouka: best driver in the agency right here lmao and she can't even legally drive yet

kenji: like ranpo he cannot drive at all (well he can drive a tractor but thats it)

junichiro: a pretty average driver. gets surprisingly mad sometimes and then gets super embarrassed about it lol. he also has like 12 driving playlists he cycles (some were made by naomi)

Excessively pretty, unnaturally multicoloured hair (like those half and half oc ship kids from 2000s), name that doesn't fit into the naming lore (for mystery reasons but still), random appearance out of nowhere and from another world (i got dropped into the world of this show self insert au, used to love those lmao), ends up working for the big bad and seems to be a real acknowledged threat to said big bad despite doing nothing, magically connected to the magical macguffin (we already had Atsushi but sure lets add him too and make it super direct), immediately catches the main character's eye (yes as an innocent and a pawn but its still hilarious), gets compared directly to 2 characters the main character is close with (Atsushi, Kunikida), is the key to beating the big bad, the mc must protect him, is considered more compatible with the mc in 10 minutes than his established emphasised relationship of 7 years with the "romantic rival" by the fandom. Has no past, no history, not much in the way of established personality due to lack of low stress situations so more than half the fan content is just fans projecting onto him and head canons. And he just conveniently got handed all the info from Fyodor instead of doing it himself.

No hate to the character cause he has so much potential but honestly he isn't really all that interesting to me. He mostly seems to combine a lot of random tropes for now. I need Asagiri to drop that Sigma centered light novel already so we get more on him.
